Very good purchase for my overseas travels.
Works well, USB ports are handy.
September 28, 2016
Seems to work well - I say that because I sometimes had issues charging but I believe it was the power source, not the adapter. Worth it to have the 2 USB ports - came in very handy. Blue led lights up letting you know it's working.I'd say only improvement would be if it were slimmer - it sticks out from the wall and is 'heavy' so sometimes it falls out. I either prop it up or tape it to the wall when this happens - it's only been an issue a few times.
Very useful gizmo
May 22, 2016
This is a one-function gadget that does exactly what it's supposed to do -- supplies electrical plugs for systems worldwide, and you can then plug your US two-prongs into it. We just used it for two weeks in Ireland with its 3-rectangular-prongs outlets and it worked perfectly with our US battery and cellphone chargers. Bonus: when it's plugged in the power indicator is bright enough to serve as a night light!IMPORTANT: This device is NOT NOT a voltage converter, just a plug adapter. In countries with other than 110 volt electrical systems you'll need a converter also, or chargers that work on both currents.
A necessity for overseas trips
May 10, 2016
purchased this for a trip to Norway. Like that it has the 2 usb ports for charging a phone and an ipad or kindle. Should be an improvement over my old power adapter. Nice that it is white. Will make it more noticeable in the bag. Nice that it is compact in size. Not a bunch of pieces to deal with. It doesn't come with the power cords for the phone or kindle, so make sure you have those or remember to pack them
Very Convenient for Travel
January 29, 2016
This adaptor is great for travel across multiple countries. I used it for a trip to the UK and Central Europe and it was so convenient to not have to bring multiple adaptors for the different outlets.Pros:- The two USB ports. Other travelers I met were jealous when they saw that I could charge my camera, phone, and tablet all at the same time using just one outlet!- The 3-in-1 design. No extra pieces you have to bring and switch out for different countries.- All the prongs retract to save a little space, making it easier to store or pack.Con:- Really the only con is that it can get a little heavy depending on what you have attached to it, so I had to prop it up a couple times.Overall I would definitely recommend this to other travelers!
What more can you ask for?
December 24, 2015
I travel a lot for work and this is a great item to charge your items! I initially bought this for the USB ports to be able to charge my phone and kindle while in between travel at airports. These days its tough finding an open outlet and when you do, you have to decide what you are going to charge first. With this, you multiply your charging capabilities to three items. Can't say enough about it and how much this has simplified charging items during travel!

Easier than using a Wii board
October 1, 2017
For years I have been using my Wii board to weigh my luggage which is frequently close to the limit. It has been a pain because the luggage does not want to sit up nicely on the board. I decided this scale might work better. It is easy to use and gave accurate readings for the trip that we took. I weighed the luggage before we left home and the airline weighed the luggage in at the same weight as what this scale gave. It is also nice because I can carry it with me so that I can weigh the luggage again before we leave for home. In the past I have always had to hope it was not over the limit thanks to souvenirs that I bought.
Imprecise at sub-10-lb weight, pretty solid above that
September 16, 2017
I used my Bowflex SelectTech 552 weight set to try this scale out. I tested at 5lb, 15lb, and 52.5lb, doing 3 measurements at each weight.5 lb read at anywhere 4.3 through 5.315lb read at 15.0 all three times52.5lb read at 51.7 through 52.0(Note that those weights are not calibrated and thus this review isn't about the accuracy of this scale, but rather how precise it is. E.g. I can't guarantee that the 52.5lb weight is exactly 52.5lb, but the scale should give me the same number every time I measure that weight).Overall, this scale was accurate to within a pound for every weight tested, so I'd say it's a good tool for the weight-constrained traveler (especially someone like me, who is flying on some airlines which impose a 15lb limit on carryon baggage)
Works great, and is lightweight.
April 26, 2017
Works like a champ. Is nice and lightweight for me to take on trips with me, since I have to be especially weight conscious on the return flights with purchases made on the road. Has always been very very close to the airline scales so I'd give it a thumbs up on accuracy.
SO ACCURATE
March 20, 2017
OK. I was flying on spirit airlines and freaked out when I realize that their weight limit on suit cases is not the standard 50lbs, but 40lbs. I tried at home to weigh it so many different ways but it was useless. So I bought this and it gave me the weight of 36.4lbs. At the airport it weighed in at EXACTLY that. I used it on the way back and again it was as accurate as before. The only thing you need to remember is that you might someone's help to lift up the suitcase, since you need to use only one hand to lift it. But besides that, I LOVE IT! Perfect for someone who is a control freak like me!
A very high end item at an extremely reasonable price. A+ Much cheaper on Amazon!
September 12, 2016
This item was much better than expected. The quality of materials, construction, and operation are so upscale that you can't believe you bought it on Amazon for $8.50 ($11+ on eBay).Easy to use. Simple pull out the plastic battery sheath (plastic strip) that saves the battery power until the item is first used, depress the power button, hook the strap around the handle of your luggage and lift it up... the digital scale will read out what your bag weighs. It reads in both kilograms and pounds. It also tells you the temperature in both Fahrenheit & Celsius. We were going to Peru and the carry on weight restriction was 17 pounds per bag. We found out the hard way, going to Egypt, that foreign airlines take carry on bag size and weight VERY SERIOUSLY. In the US, it is more about size than weight for carry on. So we bought the Etekcity luggage scale so we wouldn't have to stress over the weight test. Note: Your home bathroom scale was not designed for light weights (5 lbs to 70 lbs). Most (okay, not all) bathroom scales are calibrated to be accurate at the most conventional / typical weight. That why you don't use a bathroom scale for weighing mail for calculating postage. This item is perfect for doing what it was designed to do... weigh luggage!Light weight, well made, great price, and extremely functional. Perfect.
A Very Handy Travel Scale for Luggage. Hey it has a Temperature sensor, too.
April 3, 2016
Very handy and easy to use. No assembly needed. Works right out from the box. Well, you just have to pull that plastic film to allow battery to work, of course. It reads weight accurately. You can switch between kls or lbs. With the temperature between F or C. While you weigh something using it, the screen will flash 3 times and locks with the reading on it and will stay for about 2 minutes unless you press the button to change it. They should put a sensor to trigger the unit to switch on automatically once weighing starts and will turn off after a few seconds once weight is release. Putting a backlit screen would be awesome, too. But overall, I am satisfied with the product.

we thought it'd be best to get a lock
October 12, 2017
We recently purchased these product for our trip to Italy to lock our backpack and my wife's purse. After hearing so many stories about pickpocket, we thought it'd be best to get a lock. Easy to setup and place your preferred pass-code. The numbers aren't too small as some comments have mentioned - IMO. Well after unlocking and relocking this several times during our trip it hasn't broke on us yet. It was useful since it was a peace of mind going into crowded train stations and buses.

April 3, 2017
Used this the past six months with traveling and have not been disappointed. The lock works great, I like that the handle can loop around, making it easier to attach through zippers, etc. Easy to take off for airport security, light and gives you that extra sense of security. I am happy with this purchase. We got one blue and one red.

This is a great lock. I use it to lock a small bag I have for medications.Only issue I had were the directions a backwards so it took me a few minutes to figure out why i could not open the side it was telling me to. Once I did, it opens and closes very easily.
great lock for keeping honest people honest
January 12, 2016
this is the 4th TSA master lock I have purchased for my luggage. I travel often and want to keep my stuff mine. These locks work perfectly for that. TSA has special keys that allow them access to these locks while keeping the general public out. Of course... if a thief wants in... they will be able to get in... but it keeps honest people honest.
Great for the Price and Use
April 16, 2014
Arrived on time, in order, and as expected/described. Very simple to use, likewise for the changing of the combination code and durable. This is not the lock used at Fort Knox, so don't expect it to perform in that manner, it is to dissuade those without true criminal tendencies...do not use on back packs or similar luggage because the wire allows for movement and with backpacks etc., a person could open the bag a bit. Otherwise, I use it on my tool boxes etc., and its great.
THIS IS A BASIC TRAVELERS LOCK
September 15, 2012
I traveled to China with this lock on my luggage and it worked exactly how I expected it to. If you are like me, you want to lock you luggage to know that it was not tampered with when you leave it with the flight crew, or leave it all day in a hotel when the cleaners come in. This lock is perfect for those reasons, and it opens and closes quickly and easily. No one expects to buy a luggage lock that cannot be broken, right? Anyone who wants to get into your luggage will just as easily brake the zipper before breaking the lock. I really want a simple way of knowing if someone went into my luggage without permission. That way I can hold the airport or the hotel accountable if it occurred while in their possession. And this lock is perfect for those needs. Plus it was very easy to lock and unlock with no need for holding onto a key. Very good lock. Also it is TSA certified which if you do not know what that means I suggest visiting their site by googling tsa locks; and it is the link that says - TSA: AIR TRAVELPlease let me know if this was a helpful review for you!

You have to be careful and lock the plugs. My kids accidently left them unlocked and it shorted the fuse in our hotel room in London. No problems anywhere else.
Solid charger
May 12, 2016
Compact, versatile and best part is 2 USB ports! This worked in the US, UK, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands. I never had a problem where it didn't fit and it seemed to charge well. Only negative I found was I brought my 2-pronged US iPhone charger (the block part) for when my USB ports were full and I had difficulty pushing it into the adapter. It would take a few tries to make the red flaps go inward with the prongs of the plug which got frustrating, but it never not worked. Also, beware when you "unlock" -- the spring loaded prongs fling out with unexpected velocity!
Did not work in Spain, outlets must be flush with the wall.
February 12, 2016
This adapter looked perfect for my travel...except it didn't work in Spain! The Europe adapter on the back will work in Europe IF they have flat outlets that are flush to the wall. When I was in Spain, their outlets are circular and set into the wall, therefore, you need a circular adapter. I purchased Ceptics Grounded Universal Plug Adapter for Europe, Germany, France (Schuko) (Type E/F). I was so frustrated and no matter how hard I tried, I can't get a square into a circle. : ) I am not sure that all European countries outlets are set into the wall but I bought the circular adapter when I go to France to be safe.On the positive side, if you travel anywhere else, this is a good design. You have to make sure you unlock and lock the green switch on the top of the adapter. Unlock to release, pull the adapter out all the way and then lock the switch. When you forget to lock after you pull the prongs out the adapter falls out of the outlet. Another positive is that you can charge anything via USB with 2 ports on the side. That feature will come in handy for iphones and ipads. I will update this review if this adapter works in Germany, Switzerland and France when I travel again. I am carrying both adapters though to be safe. I am giving this 4 stars for design, quality and USB ports, because I am not sure if that travel experience to Spain was isolated.
A travel converter with USB ports
October 16, 2015
This is a nice basic universal AC power adapter for travel with the added plus of 2 USB ports. Everything folds up nicely and compactly making it easy to pack. Couldn't ask for anything more! I received a discount in exchange for my honest review.

October 6, 2015
Does everything as described but the quality of the product is not great. The green buttons are not rigid and feels like they would break after some days of use. The US plug which is released on lock button don't retract smoothly. The usb pins are not aligned horizontally to the openings but have no problem in connecting/charging. Better choose a different one if you are concerned about finish and quality.
Quality is good and price is very reasonable compared to similar products
September 18, 2015
Quality is good and price is very reasonable compared to similar products. Very nice packaging as well. Would have given it a 5 star if not for the location of the US prongs which are placed too high. Should have been positioned in the middle for better balance. As it is, the weight of plugged in items pulls heavily on it almost removing it from the wall/mains.

Great for traveling with heavy luggage - skiing, SCUBA diving, etc.
August 29, 2017
I verified it against exercise weights I have at home, and it was within one pound on weights from 10 lbs to 25 lbs. The lift strap is quite secure with a clip on the end for a good latch. It should work on all luggage. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is there is no way to turn it off. It just times out after a couple of minutes. I can see where it may accidentally get turned on while in your luggage and run the battery down. Also, why does it have a thermometer? I cannot figure out why that would be useful on a luggage scale. Other than that it weighs accurately, is compact, and is easy to use; everything I was looking for.
Must have for frequent fliers!
August 16, 2017
Super convenient, light weight, and pretty darn accurate. This was my second one bc my first one got ran over....long story. But I love traveling with these. Takes the guess work out of packing. And no surprise unloading at the airline desk due to oversized bags. Highly recommend to anyone that flies even on a semi-regular basis.
Practical item for Intl trips
April 12, 2017
Really great item for my overseas trips. I used it to check my luggage wait before leaving the US and before coming back to make sure I wouldn't need to check my bag or pay extra, which is very important since I was flying a budget airline (stricter bag regulations). It didn't take up much room at all in my backpack I used and it was a great reassurance for my trip.
Measures 2.5 - 3 lbs light. UPDATE: New unit measures 1.5 lbs HEAVIER
June 30, 2016
Measures 2.5 - 3 lbs light. Take that into account, and it is very handy and easy to use.UPDATE: At their own initiative, the company sent me a replacement unit. The new one looks identical, and is still a little off - but closer. this one measures 1.5 lbs HEAVIER, which is definitely preferable to LIGHTER. I am upgrading to a 4 star, for the companies customer service!
Very Well Made product
January 13, 2016
I bought this to weigh my luggage for regular travel. I tried it out on a weight to check accuracy I selected a twenty pound bell weight and the Etekcity scale read 20.3 lbs. This item felt good in my hand and seems to be a very solid product. The temperature reading was very accurate and a nice add on application for this gauge. It measures weight in lbs or kilos and temperature is Centigrade and Fahrenheit . All in all a very handy gadget I highly recommend this product.
Great scale for the price
December 20, 2015
The product is a great deal for the price. I compared a lot of other weighing scales from different companies and bought this as it looked the best for the price. The packaging was nice and it matches the description on amazon perfectly.I have tested this on a 2 lbs pack and a 20lbs suitcase and it gives the exact weight. The whole product is made of plastic , but seems to be very strong and does not look cheap at all.The strap is of nylon and has a metal clip to attach it to the hook and the thing to be weighed it to be hanged on the strap. The product comes with a warning "the scale should not bear weight for extended period of time",not sure what would happen to it I do that by unknowingly. I guess that is the only possible down side to it.The added feature is the Temperature Sensor. I don't find it to be of much use. But if you are looking for a temperature sensor as well, then it gives the accurate temperature in Celsius and fahrenheit , I compared it with my house thermostat.

Essential component for Sportube Box
February 26, 2017
One has to have a cable padlock to hold the 2 halves of the Sportube together in transit but the TSA in the USA always want to open one's ski box to check for contraband so this product fills the bill. The cable is very strong and the only criticism I have is that over 3-4 years use the plastic covering the steel cable has deformed and progressively worn so that it jams in the holes of the sportube box and makes it hard to disengage the cable. I have eventually had to cut away all the plastic and just leave the steel cable.
Good lock for luggage or other zippered items like a tent door
December 18, 2016
Mine happened to be RED not BLUE, but that does not matter to me. Just as expected. Small lock for luggage. I'm actually going to use this for locking a tent door at a campsite (locking the zippers together) as it is a wire mesh lock that is flexible. Works great for that, but certainly would work good for luggage as intended.
Nice little lock for those who want a small deterrent at very modest cost.
December 16, 2015
Very nice little lock. Metal construction, and quite sturdy. My deceased father once told me that locks are for keeping honest people honest. This lock will work for that purpose. The cable is thin and covered in plastic, and will fit nicely in a luggage zipper. I plan to use these to close the two latches on a small handgun case. Understand that the cable could easily be snipped by bolt cutters (or maybe heavy duty scissors).Changing the combination seems to be a little bit tricky, so I have not yet done so. Those who want serious protection might not like this small lock. Those who just want a small deterrent at very modest cost should be pleased.
Master Lock - Cable Luggage Lock
October 13, 2015
This lock is not especially secure. One look at the cable and you can tell that almost any wire cutters could probably demolish it. HOWEVER, you have to think of what a lock really is. A lock like this is merely a deterrent for those that may want to mess with your stuff, the security it provides is hardly a physical barrier, but a psychological hindrance. Any thief worth his salt would be able to break into any lock in this price range, or even above this price range. The purpose of a lock like this is to prevent casual criminals from messing with your stuff. Period.Personally, I backpacked all throughout Southeast Asia for three months without any problem. I love that the cable is flexible and can fit into almost anything. It certainly helps with thousands of different locking situations you could possibly find yourself in. The code is easy to set and change and it's TSA approved. All in all this is a great lock to pick up for around 5 bucks.
Good for Securing Backpacks and Carryon Bags
July 8, 2015
I bought these locks because the loop would fit through the zippers on my backpack and carryon bag. After opening and closing these locks over the course of two weeks, though, I discovered these locks showing signs of wear on the metal latch that hooks into the base. The wear didn't affect the integrity of the lock although it was a little surprising. At first, I was disappointed that these weren't what I considered to be "prison grade" but no lock is impenetrable. For the needed functionality of securing zippers and deterring thieves, however, these locks were perfect. I would recommend this item if you need a TSA approved, light duty lock that will secure zippers on your backpacks and carry on bags. If you need a lock for checked luggage, I would recommend a different lock that alerts you when the TSA had used their key to open your bags.
Good lock
December 28, 2014
Seems to be a nice sturdy lock and the combination is easy to set. I've used two of them once so far, but will be using the 4 I bought on a longer trip soon. Even with TSA locks sometimes they get cut off anyway so I like having extras. (Actually I have had luggage opened with cut off locks and no TSA sticker or message. I contacted the TSA and they said they always leave a notification of some sort and it may have been airline workers snooping around, so be careful what you pack in checked luggage!)I took off one star because you can't choose your colors. It says assorted colors. I ordered 4 and they are all black. Boring. But not important really.

Worked for USB, not so much for three-prong cords
March 6, 2016
I bought 5 of them and took them to Egypt. Two of them did not allow me to plug my laptop power cord into the ports. The other three worked fine. However, there was a trick: I had to force the power cords into the device using all of my arm strength- otherwise, they didn't work. I liked the USB ports, which is one reason I bought them (to charge my cell phone). You get what you pay for. In the future, I would use this for a USB cord, and buy those rubber converters for two and three prong cords.

The prongs in the back as spring loaded and were sometimes annoying to keep locked out or in. For the price, it works so if you are looking for the cheapest universal with USBs this will make due. I would spend the few extra dollars and get this one though https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00V63Z726/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1.

February 2, 2016
It adapts plugs, but I found anything heavy than a normal plug (like a laptop) causes it to fall out of the wall. I had to find creative ways to prop it up. Also, it advertises that you use your USB to charge it, but I would strongly recommend that you still use the USB plug attachment in this adapter as my iPhone got really hot when I used the USB sans pulg.
Falls out of socket
December 5, 2015
I purchased this DIGISION 3315794 Dual USB Universal AC adapter to take on my trip to Ireland. For the most part it worked and allowed me to use my phone charger, hair dryer, and curling iron. What annoyed me is that it did not stay plugged into the wall very well. It falls forward, losing the electrical connection. I was constantly having to push it back in the socket or hold it with one hand while I used the other hand to hold whatever it was I was trying to use. I ordered 3 of these: one for myself, one for my sister, and one for my parents. They all had the same trouble I did with it not staying plugged in.
Swiss army style of Power Adapater
October 17, 2015
Haven't had a chance to travel with it yet (bought for an upcoming trip to Asia). But did play with it a bit. Other than a bit bulky, my only complaint is that the Main power prongs are very difficult to Retract (for storing) after they are opened for inserting into the outlet. I sort of have to Push them IN while at the same time trying to slide the switch ... Not sure how long this thing is going to hold up when used daily ... we'll see in November during my trip.

Measured multiple known weights with the scale and they all showed less than what they should be.The good part is the consistency. Measured them multiple times and the results were same.for example7 pounds shows as 5.813 pound shows as 11.820 pound shows as 19.2All of these items are store bought items with extra weight.(like glass container and so on)I would have expected the weights to be on higher than what the product label say to account for the container weight. But on the contrary it shows less.

February 9, 2017
If you are just weighing plane luggage it is probably fine, but it wasn't accurate enough for my usage. I wanted it to weigh backpacking gear. When I weigh two backpacks (about 3 lbs each) individually and then weigh them at the same time, the total varies by 3-4 oz. An error of 4% was too high for my usage.

Easy to open; don't use for air travel
September 25, 2016
Too easy to open. See post in an earlier review about looking through the crack above the numbers and finding the "notch." It works! Also, there is a video on You Tube that shows how to open with a paper clip. Now with this said, I use these locks for when my bag is left in a hotel for the day, not for air travel. TSA doesn't use their key to open these types of locks, they just break the locks; there are plenty of posts across the Internet about this. Using the lock in a hotel room is a deterrent for the casual maid that may go through your things.
Was Removed and Discarded by TSA the first time I used it...
June 11, 2015
My first impression was that the lock itself was a bit flimsy, and in reality it could probably be picked or removed with little effort. Despite this it does at least serve as a deterant if a potential thief wanted to make a quick grab for an iPod, iPad, etc. That being said, my chief complaint is that this lock was removed from my bag and promptly discarded by the airline (TSA) the first time I tried to use it. No notice or note was left. Previous locks that I have used (that were admittedly the wrong type) were at least returned in a small bag attached to the outside of my luggage. I will be trying to get compensated for the lost lock, but this may serve as a warning to others who plan on traveling with this lock attached to their luggage.
Cracka Safe
May 26, 2015
Own more than one o these. Majority of the time no complaints. However, last one bought has an issue. I noticed this when after reLocking it I could not turn the numbers from the opening combination. Upon inspection, there is a metal flap that you must depress down when opening this lock. I noticed my metal flap got stuck in the down position. In this position, you can make the lock appear to be locked, however, unless that flap flips back up, the lock is not locked.Solution, when unlocking view metal flap. If in the downward position, and not up as it should be, a few hits of the lock and the flap springs back up, you can lock the lock and turn the numbers. Not attempted to oil it or any other fix, just figured it was a glitch specific to this lock, not all of them.

March 3, 2015
Its ok. The cable lock mechanism releases by pushing it inward onto itself, thereby unlatching it. This is simple and cheap to make I am sure, but if you have it snugged up on a luggage item with little extra room to spare (and since its on a piece of luggage its likely to be upside down and tough to access) that unlatching can be a lot more difficult to do than when you first tried it out holding it in your hand.
Lock that gives peace of mind yet not as durable as my others
May 15, 2013
We ordered 6 of these to use on our suitcases for our trip to Thailand. We had heard the horror stories of items being placed in your bags and being detained and we didn't want to risk our bags being open.TSA locks are approved by airlines & security so I knew they would be okay at the airport. When we first left for our trip we found it was simple to set with our passcode and hook onto the suitcase zippers. I selected these due to their cheap price (cheapest available on amazon) and the long handle which I thought would make it easier to loop through the zippers on our duffle bags.Initially they worked. However when we arrived in Thailand we then had to transfer from Bangkok to Koh Samui and when we retrieved our bags with the new locks we found that they were already scuffed. So the airline obviously threw our bags and didn't handle them properly but I will admit the locks held up through that offense. Our next stage was a longtail boat to Koh Phangan and when we arrived we found that our locks had sand which collected somehow inside the locking mechanism. So we put wear & tear on the locks; we had a tough trip. They got banged around. On the bright side they worked and didn't directly break. However out of 6, only 2 stayed fully functional. 4 of the locks are definitely challenging to use now. They have scuff marks and difficulty locking now and even turning the dials to input our combination is challenging due to the sand which got trapped inside the lock likely from when our bags were tossed out of the boat and onto the sand of the beach at arrival and departure.

The concept of this adapter is genius, however when I recently traveled to Australia and New Zealand I found that the shape of the charger and it's weight made it unable to stay in the outlets which was really disappointing since I was left without an adapter!
The built-in USB ports were great for charging my gadgets
May 7, 2016
I ordered this adapter for my international travel. It worked well for my trips to China and Thailand last November. The built-in USB ports were great for charging my gadgets. However, when I took this adapter to Europe a week ago, the adapter suddenly stopped working in the middle of my vacation in Amsterdam. For whatever reason, there was no power coming through the adapter. Luckily, I happened to carry another power adapter specifically for EU region. I checked the power outlet on the wall and confirmed there was power, so the power adapter was indeed defective. It was extremely inconvenient for me and my wife to charge up our devices during the rest of our vacation. For a product like this, I'd expect very solid reliability and durability on top of the convenience with the all-in-one design. I don't take a lot of international trips, so the usage of this product is fairly minimal. The adapter only lasted 6 months with two uses, which is very disappointing.
Don't Waste Your Money
March 15, 2016
This item was very unreliable and worked properly for only about 20% of my time traveling. Thank goodness that my hotel provided adapters and had USB ports built into the walls, otherwise my vacation would have been ruined.
I got a lemon
March 7, 2016
Good size however I received a lemon, I could not fit a US plug into its designated slot because the contact pins were misaligned. It requires a bit of muscle to finally get the plug in but it crushed one of the pins and didn't have a solid contact point to deliver continuous power
It kinda works.
January 27, 2016
Having gotten quite tired of purchasing a separate adapter for each country that I travel to, I figured that a universal adapter would be just the thing. And it ... sort of is. I bought two of these, and NONE of the USB ports (on either one) work. A two-pronged plug (without a grounding prong) wobbles in the adapter, and falls out at the slightest tug. The adapter's flat prongs (used as is for US outlets, or rotated at 45-degree angles for Australia or New Zealand) cannot be locked in a rotated position that fits Australian plugs. Some wiggling of the prongs allows locking them into the position, but then plugging the adapter into the outlet requires a lot of force, as prongs are out of alignment relative to the outlet.Ultimately, the adapter worked with middling success, once I figured out how to lock the prongs, and by using a rubber band to secure a plug to the adapter, but the lack of working USB ports and flimsy construction make me unwilling to use this device in the future.
It's disconcerting when smoke starts pouring out of your adapter...
October 26, 2015
Product is a great idea. It includes everything you need--three plugs for use in almost every country, multiple USB plugs, etc.Unfortunately, we got a lemon--a good idea was not backed up by a quality product. We purchased this for a trip through Europe and, on first use, it charged our phones via USB, albeit incredibly slowly (probably 10% the speed of our normal chargers). On second use, after a few minutes of being plugged in (trying to charge a phone via USB), smoke started pouring out of the unit. No damage to the phone, but it did require us to track down a replacement adapter on the road (sadly, at a higher cost).Based on all the 5-star reviews, I would consider trying this product again. However, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND getting it in advance of your trip and using it a few times before going abroad to make sure you get a quality unit instead of a lemon.

Multiple uses ?
May 2, 2017
I'm trying to set this up as a scale to help my grand daughter weigh the clothes , so the washer doesn't get overloaded !
Will cost you more money
November 3, 2016
Very unreliable. The numbers are always wrong. Either over the limit, either below the limit. It caused me to pay extra money at the airport. When I weighted my luggage at home I got 50lbs. At the airport it was more than 10lbs over the limit and I hat to pay $75 penaltySo no don't buy it.
Dead Battery
August 30, 2016
I'm really frustrated. It was working well enough (for the price) when I got it--certainly nothing fancy--but after only four uses it stopped working entirely. It seems to be telling me that battery is low, but I have no idea where to get this type of replacement battery, and it shouldn't be conking out after only four uses and less than a few months in my possession. Very disappointing. I wish I hadn't bought it. :/
Wanted to like this scale
August 14, 2016
Wanted to like this scale, but after half a dozen tries, it refused to offer a single reading. I decided to check the battery and was surprised to see it dented and scratched -- how's that possible for a brand new unit? Even after re-inserting the battery, it still didn't work. I so needed this for an international trip, but it was completely useless. I don't like receiving a refurbished unit when I paid for a new one.

July 21, 2016
The scale worked fine when I first got it but after a 2 weeks of having this and barelyyyy using it I had to buy a new battery for it. Then, when I finally got new batteries for it, the scale kept glitching and getting stuck on some screen and I couldn't get out of it, turn it off or anything.. So every time that happened, I would have to remove the battery and put it back in. I would NOT recommend this product...I don't use this thing enough to need to buy a new one though.
Utter garbabge
February 17, 2016
Talk about useless. I bought this scale and used it a couple of days ago in anticipation of a big international trip. We weighed four different pieces of luggage until they all clocked in at 48.5 to 50 lbs because of weight restrictions on the airlines and ended up having to leave behind lots of stuff because everything was going to be too heavy. All the time we thought, "huh, that's weird. We didn't buy that much stuff!" When we got to the counter of the airline yesterday, we found out that each bag was 8 to 12 lbs UNDERWEIGHT. We ended up just throwing some things in our carry on to the main luggage just because we could. So, it was precise in that every bag was within the same range of weight, but totally off and not accurate at all. Buy any other luggage scale; this one is utter garbage.

January 31, 2016
I bought this lock after reading all the good reviews. I will say that it's pretty sturdy and the flexible cable makes things convenient. The issue I had with this lock is when I wanted to reset the combination. The instructions stated that the lock could be opened using the preset lock combination. After struggling with it for about half an hour, I found another review here about how to break into this lock using a flashlight and the cracks above the numbers. Turns out the preset combination was wrong on the instructions and I found it unsettling that I opened this lock without the combo in less than 30 seconds. It's too late for me to get another lock, but if you want something a little more secure, look somewhere else.
Keep wiggling and hope you can set the new code.
May 27, 2015
The locking mechanism of this Master Lock 4688D is not firm enough. You have to wiggle in the steel wire (covered with plastic) in and out of the lock. Just not sturdy enough.I bought 4. when setting the new code for one it didn't set to the right #. Became useless to me. Would not buy again.
Three out of 6 purchased bad out of container.
February 11, 2015
Bought six of these..based on reviews. Read instructions carefully, First lock, the button would not reset at all. Set the combo as described, would not close. Worseless. Opened the second, thinking it was just defective. This one EXTREMELY difficult to set combination. Once set, again would not close. Very difficult to hold button down and set three numbers, who are difficult to move anyway. Afraid to try the rest. Will never buy again. Based on reviews, it seems 1 out of four never work. It's sad because the thing looked good, but no quality whatsoever. Be warned. EDIT,,opened the next 4 got three to work, the fourth works but I do not trust it. So out of 6, 3 failed. It's not hard to set up when they are GOOD, they work well when they work, but that the reason for the rating. Some just don't.
Cable fatigue ended my lock after three months.
November 7, 2014
Negative experience for me. Planned use was a visual deterrence for bag pickpockets on a day pack I use, and it worked as such for a brief period. After three months (4-6 open/locks per day, simple city use, no vigorous activity) of use in such a manner, I noticed the cable fibers 80-90% broken on the end that you connect. Only a few more days until only one fiber was left, and it was no longer safe to use. Out of sheer curiosity, I bent the other end (that stays connected to the lock's body) back and forth to see how long the cable fatigue would last. About 15-20 seconds. In my opinion, not fitting of the Master brand name.
dear lock: it's just not working between us
August 30, 2013
not happy with the design.- the flexible cable slips out of the zipper pull from its own weight when I unlock it, and it ends up on the floor!- you have to slide the cable to the side in the slot when you lock/unlock it, which I find awkward and fumbly (and I'm fairly dextrous.)- the dial has to be on the code both to unlock AND LOCK it. But the dial can move when it's unlocked w/ cable out, so you must set the code before you can put the cable back in - very annoying, and I don't remember this with other locks. On the plus side, the quality was fine, it stayed locked, and I didn't have any problems setting the code. I just find regular metal shank locks much easier, and would never buy this style again.
Be Cautious - They're Mixed Colors!
December 8, 2012
I didn't realize I could be getting any color when I ordered these, so be careful. Also - just worth noting. On the first trip I used these on, the TSA just cut them off rather than unlocking and relocking them - which basically means I threw my money out. I talked to the airline about it, and though I don't trust them either, they told me that it's common for the TSA to just cut off these types of locks because it takes less time then opening the locks.I'm going to look for something that can't be easily cut off - force them to take the time and to follow procedure in the future... TSA sucks!

Don't Waste Your Money!
August 15, 2017
I purchased this adapter months ago for a trip I just took. I tried it once at home and it worked ok, but it broke the very first time I tried to use it overseas (only the second time I tried plugging something in) and I had to break down and buy an expensive one at the last minute at a tourist shop near my hotel. The adapter is so messed up, you can't even get the end of plug into it. I have no idea what happened or how it cold have been broken in such a way, but it's a piece of junk. Don't waste your money!!!

September 6, 2016
Purchased three. All of them worked on our trip to SE Asia. But, on our recent trip to England, one stopped charging, i.e., the blue light no longer works and it does not charge our devices. We could still use it as an adaptor. However, we're leery now of taking the other two on our next vacation lest they stop charging as well.
Stopped working properly
March 16, 2016
I bought this last year because it was cheap and self contained. I used it on two week long trips to Ireland. On the second trip I started having problems with it. The plug into the Ireland outlet stopped working right. I could only get it to work by having it on partially plugged in. Even then it was difficult to find a position where it would stay connected. I guess you get what you pay for. I do not recommend this product.
Wouldn't stay in socket
December 7, 2015
I bought this adapter for a trip to Australia. When I tried to plug this one into the socket, I couldn't get the unit to remain there. Even though the plug bits are adjustable, I was unable to orient them in a way which would cause the adapter to fit tightly. Fortunately, I had bought some cheap adapter plugs that worked fine. I'm glad I did not rely on this as my sole means of electricity for my trip, or I would have had sadly uncharged electronics.
Quick to fizzle!
December 6, 2015
I love the design of this adapter. It is compact and versatile. However, I took this to Spain in November and it only worked for 2 1/2 days. On the evening of the third day, I plugged it in and connected my phone as usual. About 10 minutes later, there was a flash, a pop and smoke! Yikes! I'm glad I was in the room to unplug it quickly. I think it is a fire hazard and I was left without a way charge anything until I could find a new charger (very expensive overseas).
White pin for UK/Spain does not pull out
October 3, 2015
Bought this for a trip to the UK. Guess which one didn't work... the UK one. The white pin that you're supposed to "pull out" is IMPOSSIBLE to pull out on the one we got. We tried tweezers and everything. No luck. We leave in two days so now I have to spend extra for super-expedited shipping.

not accurate, weighed my suitcases before we headed to JFK, got there and the desk representative told me we were over by two pounds in each of our suitcases!
Waste of money.
September 11, 2017
Absolutely a waste of money did not even get a single use out of the product. Bought to weigh luggage for an extended over seas trip morning before I left, opened package put in batteries, scale turn on and promptly turned off. Waste of money!!! Less than one star.

So disappointed, the sticky in this product only lasted a month. It was a replacement for one I had like 2 years that broke on the handle, the sticky Never came off! 👎👎
Disappointed.
August 21, 2016
Appears used. Came with battery already inside the scale. No instruction manual. Box was opened. Tried to use it. Wasn't working. It won't hold the weight. Not sure if this was Amazons fault or Elekticty. Didn't bother to return it. For 8$ it wasn't worth a trip to the post office. But still. Disappointed.

April 21, 2016
I keep getting "error" message every single time I try to weigh my bag. Need to reset it numerous times before I get a reading which seem to be accurate/reasonable. I can't really rely on it and wouldn't recommend it!

it is very hard to set or reset....After trying too many times to set I could not and throw my in the closet to collect dust
Poor usability. Buy something else
September 24, 2015
The numbers are small. The combination wheel is small and hard to turn to the correct number without affecting the adjacent wheel. You need to get the numbers in precisely the correct position. The numbers are very low contrast foreground to background. The number font is poor. It is difficult to tell numbers apart. For instance, 6's and 8's are very hard to tell apart. Overall it is very difficult to use for something so simple. The lock itself is useful. Just don't expect to open it in 15 seconds or less. At least I can't.

August 19, 2015
If I could give this lock a "0" I would! From the time I opened it, we could not get it to work. We followed the directions and it would not open so we obviously couldn't put our own code in. After trying several times we decided it didn't matter if we did get it open to put on our luggage because if we put it on, we may not be able to get the lock open!We were out of town when it arrived and then did't try it for about a month. By that time it was too late to return. Just Junk!
Terrible Product.
July 3, 2015
Followed the instructions to change the combination as soon as I got it. It did not work and now it's essentially useless. I just spent an hour going through every combination/permutation of the 3 numbers I chose and it still doesn't work. Worst part is that there is no serial number (new Master Lock policy), so I can't the universal combination from the company.

January 21, 2015
Bought this lock, set my combo, used it for a few weeks, all was well, and then......it refused to open. At all. No matter what I did. It had opened and closed fine probably 20 times between when I first got it and that point. So I smashed it with a hammer to break it open. A waste of 7 dollars, but seeing such a cheap piece of garbage get smashed is it's own reward.Won't be buying this again.
