| This is the ONE. You'll never need another converter/adaptor to travel!October 16, 2017 Travelled with this product to Greece, Germany, and Austria. It worked perfectly and none of US plug items I used it with got fried or damaged as with others I've used in the past.I charged my iPhone with it, used it for my hair dryer, hair straightener, and small travel clothes iron. Very easy to use, compact (bulky item, but compact in the sense that it has all the adaptors in one place), and reliable. Just slide forward the tab for the country you're in and plug into the wall. I'm glad I invested the money as I travel often and don't want separate adaptors. I would recommend keeping the zipped travel pouch it comes with to keep it in good condition. I kept buying adapters when I really needed a converter which converted my hair dryer from US power to the Israel power requirements. This is the only converter you'll ever need!July 9, 2017 What a GREAT device! I took this to England and Scotland with absolutely no problems. It worked like a charm. I bought it thinking I'd be bringing my hair dryer, but instead, I saved room in my luggage and used the hairdryers in each of the hotels, so I can't comment on using the hair dryer function. However, if you do, they make it very clear in the packaging to be sure you're using the proper setting on the converter for the hair dryer. All other devices use the other setting. I ended us using the converter for my laptop mostly because my laptop has several USB ports, which allowed me to charge my iPhone, my friend's Android phone, and a speaker I used for my laptop all at once. Also, I love that it's just this one converter, one item; just the one device without having to have other attachments for each country. I highly recommend it! (P.S. I was so tired when I arrived in London, flying overnight from LA, that I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong to get the device to plug into the wall, so I wrote to their customer support. I eventually figured it out when finally looking at the enclosed easy-to-follow instruction sheet, but they replied very quickly, too!) The pictures below are to let you know that if you travel to the UK, even after you plug in the converter, notice on the wall plug that you have to flip that switch to "on" as well. My wife used his for her travel to China to power her hair straightener and dryers. It worked like a charm. It has two modes: adapter (which allows you to plug into any socket, but doesn't change the voltage), and converter mode (which additionally allows you to step down from 220-240V to US 110V). The adapter "mode" is really converter mode turned off.My wife quite impressed by the retractable adapter plugs; each is neatly labeled by country making it easy to deploy by sliding it out. When done, the adapter can be retracted back. While this does make the device a handful, it makes the whole contraption quite compact and easy to travel with (no missing / left behind pieces).It does not have any USB ports and fits only one appliance at a time, but that's what it's designed to do at this price point. | | |

| do not buy this!November 2, 2017 Bought this to take to Africa with me as I knew I would need to work on laptop and obviously charge phone. Well it not only died on the first week of vacation but also killed my phone charger. Caused complete stress and chaos. Total waste of money. I had to borrow my friends adapter to charge a small battery then plug that into my laptop since it couldn't be plugged in without a converter. Seriously terrible experience while on vacation. Blew Out Expensive Hair AppliancesNovember 1, 2017 Very frustrated with this product. I purchased it to use during my semester abroad in Italy and it does not work. After plugging it in, it blew out both my expensive hairdryer and hair straightener. Neither will turn on now. In addition, it is a bulky converter that does not have a three-prong Italian extension. In order to use it in Italy, you must plug it into an adapter, then plug the adapter into the wall. Would not recommend.
