It is exactly as described but the description majorly understates how awesome it is in my opinion
January 9, 2017
I wish I could give it 10 stars. It is exactly as described but the description majorly understates how awesome it is in my opinion.Anyone with a cat or small to medium size dog should own one. It is very light weight and setup takes all of 2 minutes. Just pull it out of the bag, open it up (it will pop open with very little effort) and zip the top and bottom into place. Putting it away is just as easy,This is actually our second one. We bought the first one a few weeks ago for our old cat who can't seem to make it to her litter box anymore. We needed to contain her before she ruined our floors so we got the 24"x45" and it's just the right size to fit a litter box, bed and scratcher with a little room left to move around. I really liked it (and she was finding the box), however, I was concerned that she wasn't getting any exercise. If it was just a temporary setup like for travel or something then it wouldn't be an issue but it's her permanent home now. So, we bought a second playpen and a popup agility training tunnel for dogs, and linked the two pens together. I wish I had gotten a smaller tunnel, but, other than the tunnel length, it's a perfect setup and she loves it. She walks back and forth and even plays with some toys in the tunnel. Best cat containment/play center you could ask for.Did I mention that I can take it all down, fold it up and stash it in a corner of the closet in about 5 minutes?Next on the list is to get a third one so I can stack it on top of one of these. I'll clip them together with binder clips, leave off the top of the lower pen and bottom of the upper pen. Then put a medium size cat tree in it to create a kitty play land! The possibilities are endless!
LIFE SAVER
May 31, 2016
I absolutely love this thing!! I have an 8 week old Australian Cattle Dog who loves to chew and is too curious for his own good, and he can't/hasn't chewed through this yet! He loves this pen, it keeps him out of trouble and he knows that it's his safe place. I was worried about space as he grows but there is ample room for him, his bed, and all of his toys. I rolled up one of the doors and slid it up against his open crate so he can go in and out as he pleases during the day and he loves that. When I'm away I just zip the top on and leave him in there and he just naps until I come home. If you had a more rambunctious puppy or dog that had separation anxiety I wouldn't leave them in this while you're away because they could knock it over depending on their weight. It stands strong against my little guy, however he doesn't challenge it and only jumps against it when I lean over the side to pick him up. I cannot image how difficult my life would be without this! I love it!!
incontinent dog so that he doesn't get "stuck" in the corner like he did with the kennel
November 17, 2015
I have a 14 year old cattle dog/dalmation who has been having accidents during the night. I had him in a large indoor rectangular kennel before but that was a major drag trying to clean up after he would have a mess.Although this is designed for puppies it has been very very helpful in being able to contain my older, incontinent dog so that he doesn't get "stuck" in the corner like he did with the kennel, and with the zipper on the top I can simply unzip the "roof", grab him by the harness and lift him out and then clean up the mess. This is a well made octagonal soft sided playpen that works well for what I was wanting/needing.The ONLY drawback is that it's not very tall and so my dog leans his head against the roof while staining, but it works. They should make a taller version for bigger dogs!!Also - this is a great item to travel with since the whole thing folds down and zips into a storage bag. It keeps its shape well/doesn't fall over and is very balanced even with the roof open so dog can't just knock the whole over/fall over. Good product.
We Love It!

My Pomeranian puppy loves her new pen! You can see how much room she has in it from the pictures. Right now, I'm sitting with her, reassuring her that this is a safe, comfy place to be. Later, she'll start getting used to it, and I won't feel worried when leaving her alone at home, when I have to go somewhere. It comes with a carrying case, a top and bottom, and I love how everything zips up. She's a jumper... A really high jumper, even at age 14 weeks, but she can't jump out of it. I'll probably put the top on it if I have to leave her alone, though. I'm so happy I got her this pen!
Awesome purchase!

Absolutely LOVE this travel pen. I have a chihuahua who gets plenty of room in this! She loves it. It's very durable. You can unzip the bottom of the cage- when I put her outside in the grass. And the top also zips on and off.Love love love it. Well worth the 40. And was much bigger than I thought it would be also. ❤️
Great creation!!
April 2, 2015
Let me start by saying it took me hours to finally choose this particular one because I read many reviews. I chose this one because I am using it for my cat who had surgery and she needs to be confined but also needs room to still be a cat.. I wanted a zipper top & bottom. This product is definitely exactly what I expected & then some. It is not cheap, it's just as it's supposed to be! I showed the girls at the vet & they are ordering themselves one for their cat & dog. This product allows my furry baby to see us from all angles & vice versa. Its big enough for my cat, her litter box (which is big), her bowls & still room to flop & lounge... So happy with my purchase... If you are looking at this purchase it! This is a real review.

it is great.

I got this for my eight month old grandson. It is huge and gives him a large play area, with room for his toys. His parents put a puzzle mat rug down inside it, set it up in a square, and he can play and watch television and see and interact with his mother as she works at her computer. And his mother (who is a writer) can work at her computer without worrying about him getting into books and electrical cords and taking off down the hall to the other rooms! There is enough room for crawling and pulling up and walking; it is great.
Bought 2!!

Bought 2, one for our house as grandparents, and one for my grandson's house. Nice fit, easy to set up, and portable.
Excellent play area
December 28, 2016
Excellent product for our little soon to be crawler. This helps keep him in a safe play are so the dogs aren't all over him also keeps them safe from him. Product is very sturdy and provides a large play area. What’s also great is the ability to add on. The product also folds down easily for storage or transport. I would highly recommend this product to any new parent with toddlers and would even recommend to pet owners with small dogs. I would absolutely purchase again and am considering purchasing the extension for a bigger play area.
So many uses!
November 9, 2016
These gates are a life saver in our house! We have 2 toddlers and they insist on going all over the yard. We got 4 sets of these and put them together to create safe play spaces. We use them to block the driveway to keep them where they should be when using ride on toys, and to keep cars or delivery trucks from coming too far up the driveway and risk them not seeing the children. We have also been able to use 2 sets to create 2 large play areas for when the toddlers need some separate time when they aren't getting along so well. Will they physically hold a child in place? No, they aren't that strong. But they are perfect for creating a visual boundary, that along with rules and teaching can help contain little ones. Once you get the hang of how they snap together and come apart, it is quick and easy to manipulate them to do what you want them to do. We even use them as the boundaries in our baseball games with the older children! These are some of our most versatile pieces of "child" gear we own.
I was worried like most things you can't really tell what size something ...
February 2, 2016
I was worried like most things you can't really tell what size something is on the internet. I've been fooled like that before the picture "looks" like something would be decent size and you realize it's not even big enough for a tiny dog let alone children! I was very pleased when this arrived the size was great. I actually used it in a different way than most would. I have a huge living room that over looks my kitchen and while it's great for watching my kids and cooking meals at the same time I always worry about the accidental run ins through the kitchen. So I went looking for all types of gates most were very expensive with very little length so on my hunt I saw this and thought possibly six pieces would do the job. Well fully extended it's quite HUGE! It completely blocked the space I needed it too and it still had plenty of length room. I love it, it works great for just about anything you want to use it for. I plan on buying more in the future for other rooms in the house!I've been using this for about a week now and I really like it. I am not using it in the hexagon/octogon shape (I have 8 panels). Instead I have it going across my living room and bending behind furniture to make it stable. So far it has kept my 10 month old twin boys in their contained safe play area. They pull up to standing on the panels and everything is stable. I used the rubber pieces on the bottom of the panels and so far they seem to be working well. This is a must have and i am so happy with this purchase! Please dont hesitate, you will happy just like i was! Thank you so much for an amaizng product! Enjoy
Great play yard!
May 21, 2015
I have the 8 panel play yard. Overall, this is a great play yard. I chose to put mine in a perfect square instead of an Octagon. You lose a little square feet this way, but it works better for our room setup. It also fits perfectly on a 6x6 foam floor tiles:(http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HS5BYVO/ref=od_aui_detailpages02?ie=UTF8&psc=1)The 8 panel square measures 65" x 65" I think the octagon measures 80" x 80" but again the square just worked better for our room.HEIGHT:I was torn between this play yard and the Summer Infant Play Yard, and did a lot of research before going with the North States. They were the exact same size and price so I could not decide. I went with this one because it is a little shorter at 26" inches high verses the Summer Infant which is 30" high. I am very petite so stepping over the 26" is even a little challenging for me! The Summer Infant play yard has a door which was appealing, but everyone kept reviewing that the door was difficult to open, so they would just step over it. I don't think there's anyway I could step over the 30" height. In my opinion, the 26" is the perfect height.FOLDING/PORTABILITY:I wanted this to be portable because I knew I would be using it at a few different locations, it is definitely portable, but takes up a fair amour of space when traveling which is expected. I just kept the box that it came in and always transport it in the box. It took me about 15 minutes to set it up initially, and 6 minutes to fold down. After my second, third, times setting up and folding down I could easily setup in under 1 minute and easily fold down in under 1 minute. I did read a lot of reviews that theirs broke when folding, which you do have to be careful to fold the correct way. After you inspect the gates, you'll be able to see which way it needs to fold. So just observe and make sure that nobody tries to fold it up quickly without understanding the correct way to fold. If you're going on a weekend trip or visiting family I would easily pack this along to bring. If you're going on a quick picnic at the park, I wouldn't mess with it. I would want something more portable such as the Summer Infant pop up portable play pen. It folds up like a lawn chair. I have used that one as well at a friend's home, it is much smaller probably half the size but I think it would also be a nice purchase.COLOR:I was slightly disappointed in the "sand" color. I was hoping it would be more ivory/beige but it has more of an orange tint. Not a deal breaker because either way the cage isn't a very pretty sight, but it is what it is.STURDYNESS:They are lightweight plastic gates, so for the people that said they were "flimsy" weren't exactly lying. But when it's all setup and connected it's as sturdy enough as it needs to be for any baby or toddler. There's no way it would tip over or cave in.I would give it 4.5stars because as much as I love it, my daughter isn't as thrilled. I definitely purchased this too late, she is already 9 months, crawling, and standing up on everything and was used to exploring the entire house before and now she's "confined" in this pen. I think she would enjoy it more if she would have had this since birth. But it's our first baby so we'll be able to keep this for all future kiddos! I purchased it more for traveling to grandparents and to our lake house that is not as baby proof as our home is. It will be somewhat bulky to travel with, but will work great. I was also considering the Summer Infant collapsible play yard but I think the square footage is way too small to be enjoyable. I'm happy with this size!

This is a great option for a metal crate
May 15, 2017
This is a great option for a metal crate. My maltese poodle lost being at home alone privileges because whenever we are not around, he jumps up on our furniture even though he knows he is not supposed to. I felt bad about leaving him in a small metal crate while we are not around, so we opted for this soft crate because it has much more space than a metal crate. He actually LOVES this crate and loves to lay in it when we are home. Its like his little relaxing dome now. During the day i open it up and zip him in, and when I get home i can fold it back up and put it away. You can zip off the top and bottom and throw them in the washer for a delicate cycle to get rid of the "dog stink" too. It is also super easy to pack up and take on the road with you. Great purchase for the money.
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE/GOOD PRODUCT
April 7, 2017
I love the product but would NOT purchase from this vendor. I'm having a problem with my item, however, cannot get a response from the seller, as I've read has happened in some reviews. This item is great IF you can leave it open. The directions to close it are not clear and for the life of me can't figure out which is the correct way to close it without damaging it as in the couple of times I've used it, I've already broken a stay which has torn through the fabric and I've bent another stay the second time I closed and then reopened this. Now, I'm afraid to open it again and need to close it as I purchased it specifically to take camping with me. If anyone can share some insight or a video of how to close this, please do!! :)
Very easy to put together
June 23, 2016
Very easy to put together. Top and bottom zippers went together easily and no longer are metal but plastic. The pictures of other reviews are accurate for the top screen. It is not two colors as presented in the product picture so if you are looking to have a shaded side you will have to use something on top to create that shade. I have it set up in my living room trying to get my cat used to it before going on vacation. I plan on using this while traveling as her "hotel room" when away from home. I have found a semi-traumatized cat when I have returned from vacation the last few times so I am going to try taking her with me this time. After researching different alternatives this looked like the best thing to help keep her contained if I am not around in a strange place. If it doesn't work, I have friends who are teachers that could use it for a reading center! It is big enough for at least two small kids to get in it with a couple of throw pillows!
For my cat in the yard
May 13, 2016
We bought this for our cat because when we are outside, he also needs to be outside. Problem is, he is not an outdoor cat. I was putting him in his carrier when we would be spending time outside but now that he is a year old and is full grown, I wanted something bigger that he could hang out in since the weather is also getting nicer in New England (finally) and we will be outside more often. The playpen arrived quickly and was really easy to open. Boo boo Kitty could not wait to get inside and explore it. We finally took him outside a couple days ago in it and I can't decide if he is frustrated that he can't go further to chase birds and bugs or if he is happy in there. I put some water in there and if we're going to be outside longer, I will get a litter box at the $ store so time will tell.I like the zippers and it seems pretty sturdy, I am happy we bought it.All I know for sure is that he looks so cute in there!
Great pen, bad zippers
November 24, 2015
I purchased this for our 16 pound elderly maine coon cat who suffered a back injury and must be kept from jumping on or off things. This playpen is perfect for that. There is plenty of room for a large litter box, food and water bowls, blankets, toys, and room for him to safely walk around. He is safe in the pen and with the mesh windows can still see everything going on in the house and we can still observe him.PROS:Easy to set up.Easy to clean.Big enough for a large cat.Easy to reach in and interact with your pet if they are immobile.CONS:Horrible zippers. The zipper on the top panel broke within the first few days with barely any use. The silver pieces you feed through the zip broke right off and we had to duct tape the zipper to secure it.Bad customer service. They say in their description to skip using amazon customer service to return and contact the seller instead. The seller takes forever to respond, if at all. If you ordered through Prime, return through Prime and spare yourself the back and forth with a non-responsive seller.
nice and roomy
September 25, 2015
I really like this. I got this for one of my cats after she had surgery to keep the others from antagonizing her too much as well as giving her a place to rest. Roomy enough for litter box, food and water tray, small bed, and even room for toys. Nice and tall too- could probably have a covered litter box in it. The only issue I had is that the zippered bottom I think was assembled wrong as the outside canvas material was inside the pen, not outside. I tried to play around with it, but with how the zipper track is attached, it only fit so that the canvas was facing the wrong side out.

Great, but has to be expanded, and wheighted down.
September 24, 2017
It is great, but as our daughter got older we did have to get the expansion panels for it. It does have to be weighted down though or she would push it all around the room. We brace ours against the couch, with heavy boxes all around. Now that I have to start using the contents of the boxes I am planning on rapping towels around cinder blocks and replacing the boxes with the blocks.

March 17, 2017
Very flimsy plastic. We have to stagger it so it won't flop back and forth( can't use it in a square/ rectangle for fear of it flopping over if my son attempts to pull up). Works for what we needed and came in 2 days
Great safe play area
June 26, 2016
I got the multi colored 8 panel enclosure. I have used this for a month so far everyday. Contrary to a couple reviews is quite sturdy when moving and adjusting. Let's be clear. ..this is not a play pen to leave baby unattended extended periods of time. It does move if the child leans or pushes on it but it holds up will and won't collapse. It is most sturdy in the octagon or hexagon (6 panel) configuration as instructed in the package insert. My baby is 18 months 30 lbs and it holds up. It's a great solution if you need to get things done without having to worry about the baby getting into anything. If there were more anti skid pads included I'd give it 5 stars. Overall a great product.
Very nice playyard - needs a better gate.
August 27, 2015
This gate is a really good size and is stable enough that my baby can stand up using the sides without too much concern that she will hurt herself. It did come with a few pieces of the plastic already broken, but it was only a cosmetic problem so I didn't return it but for the price it should be in better condition. Also, the 'gate' part that you should use to get in and out is very rigid and doesn't swing like a gate so that it seems that it is designed for parents to climb over the sides to get in and out. But that really isn't safe at all, especially carrying the baby, so we use the gate but it could have been better designed for sure. All in all I like that it offers a big space for my baby to play that is safe, and the sides also allow you to clip on toys which is great.
Versatile & Practical for puppy (or baby)
April 11, 2015
We got this pen for our new puppy. I like that I can take the pieces apart to use as multiple make-shift baby/ puppy gates when I'm giving him more free reign of certain areas - or convert it back to a pen when I need him more confined. I convert it back & forth a few times a day. As for reconfiguring - it is not as easy as I would like - requires two hands and a little bit of precision (too much force will bend it too far). My husband doesn't struggle with it as much as I do - but agrees with me that the resistance in reconfiguring is a bit much. (I assume that resistance helps with the stability of the product.) It does seem nice and stable- and would work equally well for toddlers and puppies (I had a similar set up when my kids were younger and it was a life-saver.) So overall - I would recommend this product. If you are planning on using this for a puppy - please realize that this item does NOT replace a crate/kennel - and puppy should not be left unsupervised for long periods of time in this (if your puppy is prone to chewing - as most puppies are - he could chew this pen and damage himself as well as the pen.) I primarily use this pen for when we are home but can't give puppy our undivided attention (cooking, eating dinner, folding laundry, working on computer, etc.) Overall - I do recommend this product for puppy or baby.
Good Product
June 21, 2014
I have twins and they are crawling all over the house, so I bought the 8 panel version to keep them contained and safe. It wasn't big enough for them. They didn't have enough room to crawl and have their toys in the same space. I ordered 2 extensions which added 4 more panels to the existing 8. With 12 panels now, we have a pretty large space where their toys are in there, and they don't feel contained. They now like playing in the play yard, and I can easily sit or lay down with them in there too. It is sturdy enough but nothing can be too sturdy unless bolted to the ground. One of my twins can hold on to the walls, stand and cruise around, and for the most part, he is fine doing it. Once in a while, the walls can move which make him lose his balance. I bought this because we have book cases around and a TV stand that has glass and the DVD and DVR players, and the boys liked playing with the buttons or pulling books off the bottom shelf, and I didn't feel comfortable with that, but I had no other way of taking those away from their reach. I plan on using this play yard in the backyard too. I am using 2 floor mats since mine is big now, but if you get the 8 panel version, 1 floor mat should be enough.

This pen was great at first
September 24, 2017
This pen was great at first. We used it for one of our cats that has to be confined during the work day. It was just what we needed. She eats anything and everything so this kept her out of trouble when we were not able to watch her. She is declawed in the front, we adopted her that way, and she managed to rip a hole in it under the zipper of one of the openings. I had to throw it out. Ordered another brand with stronger canvas bottom. Hopefully it will hold up better for our needs. I wish I would have checked the warranty on this one. Oh and do not leave a big dog in it unattended. We adopted a pitbull and used this for her the first few days since it was more roomy than her large crate. She was able to move it from the livingroom to the kitchen and some how it got wedged between the table and the oven and we came in the room a burner was on! Somehow maybe it got caught on a burner knob, we are not sure. Since that incident we kept it for the cat in another room. We understand we should not have left a dog her size in it unattended. Thankfully the house didn't burn down.
Not as durable as I hoped it would be.
March 24, 2017
I liked the size of the kennel for my two small dogs. They had plenty of space to run around. Unfortunately my 20 pound dog pushed on the screen door and broke the zipper. It would be much better if the zippers and screens were heavy duty and held up better. If you have a strong dog or bigger dog who want's to get it this isn't the solution for you.
Low Quality Item but OK for Temporary Use
February 9, 2017
This pen is great as a temporary holding pen for small pets but definitely low quality. The zippers are hard to zip, catch easily and the 'top' mesh that encloses the pen is too big?? and there is extra zipper folded over and smushed so that no one can escape through the small hole it leaves. Also, the zippers that open the 'doors' are AWFUL. I'm worried I will break it if I pull harder, so opening and closing the doors often may result in a useless pen. I used it for my low-energy cat that just had a surgery and worked fine but any pet that wants to escape will be able to prettyyyy easily.

January 18, 2017
I bought this "tent" as I call it, for my 10 pound rat terrier. I got a large size so she would be able to move around while in it for a long day. I used it a few times when we were in the room and she was fine, but over the weekend we left her alone for the first time in it and she chewed her way out through the mesh side. Much to my surprise, when I walked in the door there she was, loose in the kitchen! She chews on bones and treats but has never damaged anything like this before. Beware if you have a chewer! This was obviously a situation of separation anxiety, but I just want to warn future buyers.
outstanding product (and price)!
November 29, 2015
My now eighteen-pound French Bulldog puppy loves this playpen (and so do I)! The construction is surprisingly sturdy, and as much as this little guy bounces around in there, it is very durable. I recently left his collar on top of the pen, and he jumped up and down over and over and tried clawing at the top to get to the collar. The zipper stayed secure, and there was no tearing of the fabric. The pen's top and bottom have zippers, so--unlike the ones with velcro--there is no chance your pet can find a way out. You can unzip the top and step inside (without giving the pup a chance to dash out) to clean up an accident or give treats. The bottom unzips for washing. When my puppy is full grown, he will have plenty of room in the pen to sleep, play, and just chill. It's all vinyl, so accidents clean up easily.UDPDATE: Do not buy this product if your pet is fairly strong. As my review said, it worked great for my puppy when he was under 20 pounds. Now that he is 24 pounds, he was able to jump against the sides and roll it until it collapsed around him. Doing that bent the frame so that the zipper broke. I still think it's a great product for very small pets, but definitely not a six month old tank of a puppy.
I think it's a fine product for the right circumstances
July 18, 2015
I think it's a fine product for the right circumstances. Those circumstances weren't mine. I left my small poodle mix dog in it in my house twice and one time I came home and he had escaped (not sure how, but I'm sure it was operator error) and the second time, he had turned my 8-sided playpen into about three sides and it was upside down. . .I decided, he's a small dog, he needs something a little more confining for my purposes. It probably will work great to confine a dog outside.

Baby hates it.
November 4, 2017
Maybe we waited too long to get one, or maybe our baby just won't be contained, but we got this at age 8 months and he screams and cries if you set him down in it. The idea was that my wife could work in the garden and let our little one hang out near her, but in this yard - no go he screams bloody murder the moment he's set down... It's not really a complaint against this unit which seems well-made - it's just not going to work for our family.
It works great. I bought two sets
May 31, 2017
It works great. I bought two sets, one from Amazon and the other from babies r us. I was hoping to combine them to make a bigger area. The two sets' pieces don't fit with each other well. A few pieces orientation is opposite of most of the pieces.
Good quality.. Arrived broken.
May 5, 2017
It should have been a 5 stars but it came cracked and missing a peice of plastic. I bought it from warehouse deals and I understand the fact that it could be scratched or discolored but not sharply broken as a baby gate. I contacted Amazon.
Heavy and NOT portable!
January 11, 2017
This is very sturdy, we use it for our 8 week old puppy. However it is definitely NOT easily portable and NOT easy to assemble, reshape or disassemble. You need brute strength to squeeze or push the accordion type connection down in order insert another panel. My husband is pretty strong, and it was challenging for him. So if you don't have strong hands or a strong upper body, this fence is not for you. It is also quite heavy, and the thought of trying to disassemble and reassemble the pieces is very daunting - we won't be bringing it with us on trips as I had hoped.
Get something more sturdy
June 16, 2016
I have bought this if I'd realized my baby would be standing up so soon after I bought it. The plastic is very flimsy and wobbles wheb he pulls himself up on it. Also, you have to step one it to get in it so if you're short or uncoordinated, you will have a problem because it's a pain to open it the other way
This is to be used as an octagon, not square, or it will wobble!

Based on some reviews, I assumed that this product could be used in a square configuration. However it wobbles way too much when use this way, we called the company and a representative explained that the item was not designed to be used as a square (I believe they sell a 4 panel corral which is used as a square) but in a octagon for maximum stability. Also, some of the panels were a little bent (heat, storage, transport?), I cannot tell if they would have straightened out over time and if other customer had the same experience. We decided to return the item as the octagon configuration will not work in the room (too big). I give a 3 stars because the customer service was good and this product seem good IF used as recommended, in octagon.

) You're better off buying a solid metal kennel
September 7, 2017
A puppy can tear through one of these in a few minutes. That's what happened shortly after we bought this (about 3 days, to be precise.) You're better off buying a solid metal kennel.
Poor zipper, useless pen
July 4, 2017
Initially loved this pen for my 10 lb puppy. Seemed to be well constructed and definitely met my needs to have a roomy place to contain puppy at night and when not being supervised during day. Large enough for his bed, food/water bowls, wee wee pads. Able to fairly easily transport on long trip. However, 1 1/2 months after purchase and beyond return date, I used top mesh cover as he started to jump out of pen. Cover kept him in but Zipper broke after second use, now unable to get mesh cover on or off. This appears to be a common complaint. My pup has also easily chewed through thin plastic covering inside seams, eating some of the pieces. Great little pen now useless due to cheap broken zipper and inability to repair.
High hopes, but disappointed
October 6, 2016
It worked well the first two weeks. Upon arrival, I noticed that one of the bottom corners had exposed wiring because it was incorrectly sewn or assembled (the fabric didn't wrap around one of the bottom corners). It wasn't convenient or practical to return for this defect because I wouldn't have had a replacement pen for my puppy right away. Now, a month later and it's rendered unacceptable. The wiring that was exposed is now bent and that corner caves in. If your puppy is any bigger than a cat or small dog (my puppy is only 15 pounds), then it's not hard to push against the walls and leave the play pen dilapidated. I've had to wash the bottom several times, although the fabric is "waterproof" any urine accidents that come off the pee pad will get into the fabric and leave a darker wet mark. I've been right by the play pen ready with a papertowel to wipe when I see that the pup has missed the mark a little, and it still manages to soak into the fabric. I had high hopes, but it doesn't quite deliver. Otherwise, great idea.
First time my dog unzipped door
September 24, 2016
First time I used this playpen with 3.6lb puppy, I came home to find he had unzipped the door and escaped. The description says it has zippers for more security but the quality of them are too light and the bottom attaches with Velcro, not a zipper. I had a hard time getting the top to zip on and it felt like the zipper pull might break. It took a really long time to receive as I ordered on Sept 9th and it did not arrive until Sept 20. I contacted the seller thru email because the tracking from Amazon never showed any progression. They just responded they were on schedule. It folds up and comes with a travel tote but don't think it can be trusted to hold a dog. There's also a hole in one panel so you can insert a water bottle but it hangs pretty low. It also has loops on the outside for the tent pegs. One loop is right in front of the door so it just attracts a puppy entering to chew it. The door screen rolls up and attaches with Velcro so you can leave it open for playing. Even though it has a bottom, it doesn't go all the way to the edge so I covered it. Fortunately, I ordered the Iris playpen and it came within 2 days with no shipping cost. It has a more secure door with two metal latches with thumb screws in case you need to lock it down. My dog has never escaped from it.
Waste of money!
August 28, 2016
Not good for puppies. The product arrived on time and was easy to open and set up, however a bit challenging to close and not the easiest to clean (holds in odor). The biggest problem with this product was the sturdiness when it came to pups. If I sat and watched them the entire time you could catch them when they started to chew, however the goal was to have something that I could put them in when doing housework etc. Two 10lb pups chewed several holes in the bottom in less than a month. This is a good product for kittens when they are really little but not any critter that chews.
It could be better
July 31, 2016
We used this for a litter of Siberian Husky puppies, it was great until they reached about 5 weeks of age and roughly 5-7 pounds each. The puppies became much more active in the playpen around this time, and the pen quickly started showing signs of use. The metal is just too flimsy to stay in place. Our puppies were able to flip this thing over, and roll it across our basement floor. At one point, they collapsed the sides in onto themselves, but I was fortunate enough to hear them whining. I do feel like this product has some value for use as an area for a small animal that has had surgery and is still very lethargic, or just animals that are inactive.

DON'T BUY if you plan to move it often
October 30, 2017
This thing is definitely not meant to be folded and unfolded often. It doesn't fold too easily. In fact, I generally have to kick it at the joints for it to move at all. It's meant to be sturdy, I'm sure, but it just tries my patience. It's also a bit misleading in saying that it can be re-configured, etc, since for some bizarre reason they've made two types of panel, so that you can only have an even number of panels or they won't connect. It's also very difficult to remove a panel, or to open/close. I have to push really hard, and when my baby is pulling at my shirt at the same time, this becomes nearly impossible. Finally, this thing actually broke after using it 3 times, when I was trying to fold it (should've stuck to the kicking method). Folding is difficult enough that the panels bend a lot before they will fold at the joints, and this time one of them just snapped. Worst of all, when it did, a piece of plastic shattered into a whole lot of tiny pieces that I had to painstakingly recover to make sure my baby won't put them in his mouth (I hope I got them all). The reason I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1 is that if someone were to set it up and just leave it there, this would be fine. Like I said, it's study enough...
Disappointed
June 23, 2017
Only had this for a few weeks with minimal use and it's already broken. For the same amount of money you can find something with plastic that's more sturdy. Very disappointed
Nice unit, but mine has a structural flaw.
June 16, 2017
It appears to be well built, but something is wrong with mine. The unit locks by clicking two sections together; but I can't get the top parts to engage for one section. As soon as my post-surgical dog started getting friskier, he could get out! I've looked and looked but can't find anyplace for customer support, which isn't good.
It seems like she would fall down on any second
May 3, 2017
My kids would hold it and stand up, she was rocking on the panel. It seems like she would fall down on any second. It was very hard to set in up.
Buyer Beware, Child Climbs It
February 22, 2017
My 12 month old can climb it and he's not even walking yet. He pulls up and puts his little toes through the little diamond shapes on the fence. I don't think he would ever get over the whole thing (although eventually maybe), but he starts screaming because he gets stuck and doesn't know how to get down and it clearly hurts his toes. Yes, it is sturdy and I brought it for the great reviews, but for whatever reason this information was left out. Kids can in fact try to climb it. We will be returning unfortunately.
Loud clicks
December 23, 2016
I like the idea of a play yard because we have annoying dogs but this is so loud to set up! Each click to adjust the shape is super loud andstiff. Pretty hard to use of your watching a baby alone.

Didn't last long
August 4, 2017
My puppy is 2 months old and weighs 5 pounds. He's in the pen for maybe a few hours a day. I've had this barely over a month (right outside the return window of course) and he's already managed to chew through the bottom liner where the zipper is and was able to just go underneath and let himself out after that. So now I had to connect the top mesh part as the bottom so he can't get out for now until I find something better to replace this. Included pics of torn zipper and pupper for reference.

February 15, 2017
Very disapointed with this product. Size is great, but i left my puppy in here for less then an hour and not only did she make it out (she pushed the zippers apart from inside, and i had to zip tie them and put her in from the top, but she chewed a decent hole in the tougher part of the material in just 45 minutes. Poor quality, and a complete waste of money. For a mature dog it would probably be great for a little hangout spot in your back yard on a hot day, but this is advertised as a puppy playpen. Id hate to see what it looked like after 2 puppies were playing in it...

August 5, 2016
The zipper teeth are plastic and easily come and break apart if a dog scratches at them. It is difficult to get the teeth zipped back together and one side wont even go back together anymore- We have had it less than a week with a small dog. My guess is a large dog would tear right through this thing.Once the dog calms down its fine- but you have to watch closely and if you leave the house, expect to come back to them outside of it. It is difficult to fold back up, but having a top on it is nice and the plastic bottom is nice as well. But again, don't expect it to hold your pet.
Looks sturdy but zipper broke after 2 days
July 28, 2016
Product arrived and assembly was simple. I was happy with the product, it looked sturdy but the zipper broke after only two days of use. I have a 1.2 lb mini schnauzer pup, she only spent a few hours in the pen and she mostly ran around in circles. At first I thought the bottom portion had simply become unzipped but when I tried to zip it up, the zipper was on one end and the seam continued to open up, I couldn't zip it closed. Imagine a backpack with a messed up zipper, same thing. So now I'm out $40, my dog will quickly figure out how to break out, and I'll have to buy another product elsewhere.....ugh!
Waste of money
April 17, 2016
Opened this for my 5lb frenchie bulldog to see how to set it up before we left for vacation. Couldn't even get it folded back up, every steak in it started popping through the material. We weren't able to use it at all. Waste of money!
Poor quality control
February 11, 2016
The size is fine and the quality of the material was fair for the price. The zipper was cheap, poorly made, and there was an obvious lack of quality control because the material bunched up so much that I was unable to zip the mat down.I would gladly pay a higher price for a zipper that would actually last and was cut to fit.Back in the box, and back to Amazon
