Have quite a few of these we use for our Halloween event, some purchased last year an some new. They work flawlessly and are small enough for tight spaces. They also give a lot of strobe, for a small unit! Battery operated means no wires to hide and the L.E.D. bulbs don't use up much power. these are great little strobes and the strobe is adjustable! Very pleased!

It's a bit smaller than I had hoped for, but works well. I gave it to a friend to sit on his patio and keep the bats away. He says it seems to work. Since bats are blind, I don't see how this could work, but it seems to.

My friend and I bought this strobe just to have a small strobe light for parties in my dorm room. If you're a college student looking for some cool lighting, this is your best bet. Needless to say, our room has become a weekend hot spot. It is the perfect size for a dorm room, but if you're looking for something to use in a bigger room or for a bigger event, I wouldn't recommend it - it would be way too small. For college kids, it is perfect and all of our friends LOVE it.

Bought 3 to use for halloween.Delivered on time and works fine. Did forget to make sure it had a strobe control dial (needed a solid light along with the strobe effect), so the price reflects the missing feature.

I read the reviews ahead of time. It does not strobe as fast as people wanted it to but it does strobe and works pretty good.

I tried using it outdoors and it attracted attention but was not powerful enough to lite up an outdoor yard. It would be perfect for a living room or a kids bedroom. I thought it worked well. I was using it to attract customer attention to a Firework Tent.

Definitely more a flashing light and really meant for a small area--think more of a lightening impact. You need at least four of these to get any kind of effect on a stage but does create a nice flashing light to fill a corner of a room to add some drama or focus to an area. Would be cool on a small entry way alone for Halloween. I used facing the opposite direction to help cast fun shadows.

I just received this strobe light, for a small little party I am having in our small building. We are planning on placing the strobe light directly behind the DJ table, 'facing' two walls to create a fun focal point.As soon as I received it, i dimmed the lights on my office, turned on my radio and turned the strobe light on with the laser light projector I also purchased from Amazon...EVERYONE, came to my office and were very impressed on how amazing the area looked, and how Disco like it felt!Cons- it is not a fast/slow motion effect strobe light. It is a one flash per second type of deal (not like a real Disco light), but for 9 dollars, it definatley is worth it for ambience purposes.Pros- This strobe light does 'set the mood' for a small gathering, once the lights are dimmed. Because it is battery operated it can be placed anywhere around the room. It also arrived very quickly, less than 8 days!Note: I also ordered the Red & Green Laser Light Projector stage Spotlight Ligts for DJ Disco Party sold by PlanetDQ for less than 30 bucks, and grouped with this strobe light it really looks like a cool party.

The picture is a little deceiving. The light appears to be much bigger in pictuses rather than the real thung. Good for a small room.

Isn't very bright from far away. The timing on the flashed are great but is not a bright light.

It works fine but the strobe rate isn't adjustable. You can buy a similar unit with an adjustable strobe rate for a little less at a big box store.

These lights are ok.. not as bright but they're okay for a small Halloween decor. There's no knob to control the flashing so the flashing is medium not fast.. Has a white light and nothing flashy.

Not as powerful of a strobe as I had hoped, but I guess I should have expected that for such a cheap price. Light does not even fill entire room. Still a fun party element though.

This is a 3 AA powered mini LED strobe with no adjustable rate. I knew it when I bought it, but I figured, for such a low price, why not. I also got the American DJ 21 LED adjustable rate strobe for double the (low) price. I definitely recommend the American DJ one. It's got a 3rd row of LEDs so it's brighter, but the adjustable rate is key. This strobe does not flash fast enough out of the box to produce the stutter effect when you move around. If all you need is some accent lighting in a small area, you can get this battery operated guy, but if you want to have the real strobe effect you crave, get one with an adjustable rate. I'm giving it 3 stars because, well, if you're not going to have an adjustable rate, you should default to the rate that works for most people, not this slower rate.

Very small and cheap, doesn't have speed job, just on and off

This has the potential to be a great product but unfortunately it falls short of the mark. A strobe light flashes...this light pulses. It is not what it is stated to be.

The strobe isn't very strong and doesn't have a very far projection.I wanted to put it in my garage so you can see flashing through the windows of my garage and you couldn't even tell there was a strobe in there at all. So I tried it in the bedroom upstairs behind some cat eye window posters and still couldn't tell there was a strobe on.Better for indoor applications.

The lighting wasn't working corectly When I first got it. There is a loose connection with the switch to the light so I had to take it apart and tweek it . Besides that it flashes nicely since I got it working but I wasn't happy to have to fix it.

There is not enough time between flashes of the light to make it feel like a real strobe light. It Just seems like a malfunctioning light. Had to buy another strobe light, because this one sucked.

The answered questions and description do not match the product I received. First question said light strobe rate was adjustable, it was not. Fast flashing, probably not fast enough for strobe effect though. Description said 2 AA batteries, it required 3. Third answered question mentioned there was no way to mount strobe, when in fact there is a handle with a hole in it for mounting. Will be fine for what I wanted it for, but is not exactly as advertised.

NO strobe speed control, I put it in the trash

Very disappointed . I tried to use it to accent my Halloween display and it was barely noticeable. Went to local electronics store and picked up a true strobe light.

I purchased 2 of these battery powered strobes to use for our first ever haunted house. They arrived late (but I am in England on a US Military base so items shipping to an APO are often late...I don't fault the seller), and when I opened them up I immediately realized that they were not worth the money. One of the strobes would not turn on/off with the switch; it was permanently ON. The other strobed very slowly regardless of having new batteries. To be fair, I own another 6 battery powered strobe lights that I've purchased from various places over the years (Halloween Parties are a big deal for me). They have all been great products and long lasting on 2 AA batteries- these items required 3 batteries, mini-screwdriver to open battery door, and then the strobes were not great.I only kept them because I absolutely needed the 2 additional lights for my event or I would have returned them. My advice is to find one locally at a party store so you can get a view of the strobe quality and adjustments before you buy.

This shouldn't be called a strobe light.. It flashed about every two seconds. How lame. Strobes are supposed to go way faster than that. I really did not like this product and I wouldn't recommend buying it.
