I used to go to a yoga studio, but wanted to do a home practice. I'm not the most flexible person and I need a block to keep me supported.These are plenty dense, but light (which is good). There's only the smallest amount of give when I poke it hard with my finger (but when do you poke it with your finger?) I'd compare it to the ones at the yoga studio -- they work well.Also mine are in a pretty shade of teal.

I purchased these blocks for my home practice, and they are exactly what I wanted. I think with heavy use these blocks might not be super durable (like in a yoga studio), but they are perfect for the occasional or a few times a week use that I needed! These are a standard size like any blocks I've seen in a yoga studio. They are a light foam material - much lighter than a cork block would be for example.

Very pleased with every aspect of these -- quality, durability, color and no different than the ones used in my gym. As other users commented, there was a slight chemical smell upon first opening the plastic, but left out, it was unnoticeable a day later (and I am very sensitive to smells and would have noticed otherwise). Order arrived on time, perfectly packaged. I would definitely recommend and purchase again (though I doubt they will need to be replaced).

These blocks are great! Lots of people mentioned that they came with a "smell", but when I took off the plastic wrap I didn't notice any scent. If you put the block right to your nose it does smell mildly like new foam, but nothing offensive in any way.They have really helped with my yoga practice (I'm just a beginner so these really help)! They're soft to the touch and give just slightly under pressure, enough to just cushion your hands.I would definitely buy these again!

These blocks are the standard size (some other products are not). They have a great feel, are lightweight, sturdy and they are purple, one of my favorite colors. I am really pleased with this purchase. I looked around quite a bit before buying these and they are a great value. They do have a 'foam' smell when the plastic is first removed, but I put them on top of the air purifier for a day and they were fine after that.

These yoga blocks work as you should expect. For anyone new to yoga, a yoga block is used to help with various postures, usually by supporting the user or acting as a spacer to extend certain postures. Originally made of wood, the block must be able support much of the user's weight without compressing, deforming or slipping. The foam that these blocks are made of fits the bill perfectly, and are able to support my solid 220 pound frame without any real change in shape. In addition, the blocks are surprisingly light, even considering they're made of foam.Every yoga block I've ever purchased has performed the same, but I personally have never seen any other foam that was formulated with the same characteristics, even considering industrial packing foam for heavy and dense objects. These were at a good price when I bought them, but if you get these or another, be sure to get yoga blocks rather than substituting.

These blocks do have places where tiny pieces of the foam are missing, but overall for the price they were a good buy.

light weight blocks, sturdy. Inexpensive material comes with inexpensive price.I think it is good enough as for blocks goes. It will support your weight and does what it should- what then comes to your personal preference. If you want a weighted blocks, then get something else- but you just want something to support your yoga progress- this will do without spending too much money on blocks.

These are good solid EVA foam blocks. They have some softness - I can make an indentation with my fingertips - but they support me solidly if I stand on them (150#). They feel a little softer and lighter than Hugger Mugger blocks, but I didn't weigh them so that might not be an accurate impression.I ordered a pair that came shrink-wrapped together. One of the inside-facing sides was dirty with black streaks that cleaned off easily with soap and water. The center of one 4x6 side of each block was superficially scuffed; holding the blocks at just the right angle to a light, you can make out "Zenzations" in the scuffed area that has apparently been scraped off. The color of one block is uneven; you can see (I hope) in the photo that the block on the right has a streak that is darker "green" than the rest of the block.I ordered the blocks in green, which is quite light, almost yellow; the photo shows the blocks on a (dark) green yoga mat with a "safety yellow" bicycling jersey next to them. The color of the blocks is much closer to the jersey than to the mat.I can only guess that perhaps Zenzations rejected this batch as cosmetic seconds due to the color variation, allowing Bean Products to pick them up at a good price and pass those savings along. Shipping a block that is dirty, with the dirty side carefully concealed, doesn't speak well for the company, but it took me vastly less time to clean the block than it would have to return it.Bottom line, I'm happy to have a solid pair of foam yoga blocks for an excellent price. If you prefer a more pristine and uniform cosmetic appearance, without scuff marks and color variations, you may be better off with another brand.

Not much to it. Foam is stiff and clean: doesn't shed dust, crumble, stink, or any of the other things bad foam does. Surface compresses maybe half an inch under full load without distorting the rest of the block. Surface isn't sealed/skinned, and so may invite dirt over time, but that's pretty normal for blocks like these as far as I've seen. I'm happy with them.

Let's not get too carried away here; they're foam blocks that you can use to modify your poses. They're a little expensive for their purpose, but I suppose that's a result of buying "specialty equipment". However, they definitely do the job for which they're intended. I use them several times a week and they work.

OK, it is true, they have a TERRIBLE, PUNGENT, ACRID,TOXIC odor when you unwrap them.But, thank goodness, I discovered you can put a little dish soapon them and rinse them, and they are fine.Also you should know they are on the LIGHT WEIGHT sideof blocks. They are NOT heavy or dense, they are definitely LIGHT weight.Sometimes that is good, but other times you might want a more solid,heavy block.

I think the blocks are fine but they are not the color shown. A little dissapointed.

A little lighter and less dense foam than others I've tried in yoga class. Wish I'd spent a few dollars more for better quality ones.

Like the low profile size but this foam has a lot of give. I needed a firmer block to be able to stand on and this is too "squishy" for this use.

These are foam blocks. They're ok. They'll do the job. I don't suspect these to last for too many years, but for the price, it's ok.

These foam blocks are a little bit more squishy then I would like. They work great for gentle propping, but when I put all of my weight into them, they feel much less supportive.

These are high quality yoga blocks that seem to be the exact same ones used in P90X's "Yoga X" video. I've been using them for about a month now and they've met my needs to maintain balance during some of the yoga postures. However, the price seems a bit much for what are effectively blocks of styrofoam, even if you're getting two of them.

These are cute blocks. I got the teal. I am new to yoga so I needed something to help steady me. I wouldn't recommend these. They sometimes squish under my weight if my lose my balance or put too much pressure on them, and then end up making me lose my balance all together. I would not buy these again. I will be purchasing harder cork blocks.

Even though I ordered these as new and they came shrink-wrapped, they were clearly used. Dirty with cosmetic scuff marks and they smell super weird. I am pretty disappointed because I did not mean to order used equipment.

This block is a little softer than the ones they have at the studio but I don't really mind. I guess I don't really grip the block very hard or put much weight on it because the firmness seems fine to me. What really disappoints me is the color. I ordered the nice leaf green you see in the photo, and what I got is kind of a dull, sickly yellow. It's not even close. I'll make it work but I would have really enjoyed having the pretty color it claimed to be. Next time I order, I'll most likely choose a different brand.

Blocks are a good size. Durable material. But, they are too soft. Yoga blocks are suppose to be very firm for putting your weight on during poses. Check out some poses on Google search, not bing that you use blocks for.

I just got my blocks in the mail today, and the first two things I noticed were: 1. They were already scratched up a bit, and 2. They smell awful. Not only is the foam less dense than yoga blocks I've used before, they're also a bit squishier than typical blocks, although they are supportive enough. Pressing a fingernail into the surface leaves a mark, and when I use the block to support my lower back, it leaves a deep impression in the surface that goes away after a few minutes. The odor coming from them is quite strong, and I can smell it on my hands after pressing down on them with my palms.The one thing I like about these blocks is the size, but it's not hard to find yoga blocks in this size.I've never sent a product I bought off amazon back before, but I am considering it with these. If I had read the other negative reviews prior to purchasing I would not have ordered this product. If the smell goes away they will be tolerable, but to be honest, it's completely off-putting, and I never would have picked them up in a store.

I purchased these for a different purpose, so I can't comment on their suitability for yoga practice. They do appear sturdy and firm just as described.When I removed them from their plastic packaging, however, I noticed an acrid chemical odor strong enough to detect from several feet away. It also seems to irritate my eyes slightly, so I haven't felt comfortable using the blocks as intended. I've placed them in a well-ventilated area in hopes that they will eventually lose the smell.

Too soft for yoga blocks

This was not what I expected. I felt it was an inferior product for what I paid.

The blocks I received are a sub-standard 3 in x5-1/2 in x 9 in instead of the standard and advertised 4 in x 6 in x 9 in. Not worth the hassle to return, but totally useless for many asana's for which I require the supporting prop.

So, not much to say about the product itself - they're foam blocks, 4x6x9. Foam, blocks, black, enough said.My problem was that when I took them out of the box, they immediately smelled like a weapon of mass destruction banned by the Geneva Convention. I'm not talking about a faint little smell like a mouse pad. I mean they smelled like I was cooking meth in my house. And it would not go away. I was thinking about returning them immediately, but I wrapped them in two garbage bags and then put them back in the box and they still made the entire house smell like synthetic death. I had to immediately bring them outside and throw them in the garbage. Maybe I have some allergy or sensitivity. Maybe they would get better with time. But I seriously could not breathe when I was in the same room as them. I threw them out and ate the cost of them. I'll buy something locally I can smell first.

these blocks are soft and spongy. blocks should be solid and keep you confident when holding balance poses and shouldn't wobble.i bought gaiam blocks right away. spend the few extra bucks.

I returned these as soon as I opened them. They were cheap and have a horrible toxic, lung burning smell. They are made with some seriously cheap toxic material. I am looking to buy some natural cork yoga blocks even if they cost more.
