Side by Side Comparison of: Zinus vs Continental Sleep

I bought the split King box springs to replace some regular box springs that came with my bed. I never liked the original box springs, but kept them for warranty purposes. Anyway, these were a breeze to take up the stairs, and unfolded very easily. They're light weight, and sturdier than my previous box spring (which has wood in it). They don't make any noise, and they fit snugly in my bed frame. I couldn't be happier with this purchase!

Product came as expected and was easy to set up. I live on the second floor of a house so getting things up the stairs by myself is a challenge. This was not. I brought upstairs and set it up by myself. I read the reviews too before I bought it and I like that it is resistant to bugs too. Just encase. I woukd by it again.

I use this as the base for the Zinus mattress. It has two pieces so is much easier to use than one that is one great big queen size. I will most likely get another one when I put a new mattress in my guest room.

I ordered two of the twin XL box springs for my teen age sons. They are going on four months of use and not a single complaint. I knew these box springs were collapsible, but to see it with my own eyes was pretty amazing. The set up process was quick and painless. In less than five minutes I had the box springs out of the box and sitting ready to go on bed rails.I wish I would of had these box springs a long time ago. They would of been easy to pack and handle for the numorous moves we have made. I would of been able to have my bed on a box spring in a house that we couldn't get a box spring up to due to tight turned stairs. If all the friends that I have helped move had these, I would of loved them for it. Hehe.This product is a huge win for us. I think when my kids go off to college, these box springs will add a little less stress on the moving in and out part of every semester.

Got this for my daughter's very small bedroom. It came folded and was actually surprisingly easy to get into the house, to the room and opened up and set up. Took about 30 minutes because her house is tiny and the room is an extra that also held a large chest freezer that we had to work around. But it works!

From the other reviews I read, it sounded like the box would be smaller. The actual box size was 48" tall by 36" wide. Though cumbersome to move it by myself off of the front porch and into the house, it was manageable. I opened the box and slid out the folded box springs. It was packed inside bubble wrap and well protected. The easy to follow directions (with pictures) were also inside the bubble wrap. After removing the bubble wrap, I unfolded the box springs. It did unfold easily. I then zipped up the zipper as directed. Once I lifted the box springs and put it onto the bed frame, I found the box springs to be extremely sturdy. I put the old mattress on top and then added a new mattress pad cover which made it seem like new. The end result was very good. I'm very pleased with the box springs; it is very sturdy and provides excellent support for the mattress. I'm including pictures so you can see the actual box springs as I was unpacking it and setting it up.

Sturdy bed frame!

Easy to set up, my king mattress fits perfectly on top. So far I am very pleased. When I saw the box it came in, I thought how in the world will this turn into a king boxspring-----but it did!!

This box spring was vary easy to install Has held up vary well over the 7mo that I have used it and foresee using for many years to come

Very good box spring but doesn't fit perfectly in a frame. The middle of the two springs tear against each other.

I have to say I am quite please w this product so far, i was a bit skeptical when the box was delivered and thought it was no way a queen size box spring was inside. I have always had a platform bed and used slats and wanted to make my bed seem a bit higher and found this while surfing amazon. I must say it is perfect. I still have my slats on my bed and the boxspring on top w my mattress and my bed sits so much higher. saved me from purchasing a thicker mattress.

This was too small and didn't actually fit a full-size bed frame, so I had to put this and the mattress on the floor for a couple days until I could get support bars. Pretty annoying, but now that I have them, this works just fine. The compression was really nice so I didn't have to take off work for a mattress delivery around my move, just had this go to my dad and threw the box into the moving van. Really light, easy to set up, and holds my 10" memory foam mattress no problem. For now. I've only had it ~1 month so I so worry that resting it on some support slats instead of the actual frame isn't as food for it. We'll see

i like that it took away a lot of the creaking that we had with our old box springs. mind you it didnt stop creaking upon movement 100%, which stinks, but, the majority of the 'broken bed' sound is gone, which is all i was looking for. as for comfort, my husband says it makes our bed super stiff now and he doesnt like it. i bought the mattress to be firm, and thus, prefer the firmness, without sinking in, so to me, comfort has improved, it definitely makes the bed more firm. to my hubby, comfort has declined, if you like a mushy bed, this isnt a good idea for you. but, shipping was super fast and assembly was fast as well, very easy. product is sturdy and clean out of box. overall a good buy imo.

ok for the money

I just received this today. The mattress "bag" itself is ripped. I don't want to ship the whole frame back. Any suggestions? It is ripped along the zipper.

It actually is a great concept. The nice thing would be if it did lay perfectly flat- once laid out it still bowed in the middle but with a little bit of weight standing on it and some manipulation we got it to lay even.

Solid frame, not too difficult to install. However, the cover had 3-4 stains and handprints in it. They are quite gross. It makes you question the quality control process.

Like other reviewers have said, shipping was fine and unfolding it was easy. But i don't buy products for the 1 day i need to install them - i buy them for the years of use I expect to get out of them. And this is being returned. The XL twin is too long. Their instructions did say (after you open the package, and install the bed) that it's only for use on THEIR bed frame. Would have been great to know ahead of time!!

I live in an old house with a narrow staircase and couldn't get a regular queen sized box spring up the stairs. This collapsible box spring *seemed* like the perfect solution. However, it started to collapse within a couple months. I weigh 190 lbs and my girlfriend weighs 120. If you're going to sell furniture in America, it should be able to hold twice that.

This broke after two months of use. I only weigh 140 lbs...

The bars in a cross formation and I have a soft top mattress. Now my back is in severe pain because I have four giants sinking holes where there is no support. Not a fan.

Was not sturdy enough for a thick queen mattress

When I first purchased this item, I thought it was perfect. When something is to good to be true, it usually is.... Let me help you learn from my mistake. This is hands down one of the worst purchase I've ever made. Your bed will sag and this will cause you tremendous long-term back problems, even if you didn't have any (before) like me. I regret buying this cheap boxspring and think these kind of companies that use cheap products, to sell more items, don't care about putting people's long-term health and comfort.

I purchased this folding box spring with excitement. However it was defective. It folded back up each time you would put mattress on top of it, I figured it was an easy fix contact amazon and have it replaced. I sent 2 letters and never recieved any communication back from company. Very disappointed in the company for not standing behind their product or even valuing customer by returning messages.
