Five Star Reviews: | 79% Can't go wrong with Denso August 2, 2017 I worried it mght not perform well due to the price relative to others. But i chose the Denso brand as it is a big deal for Lexus and it has lived up to the billing. Ride is definitely smoother. Great Product, Great Price December 24, 2016 I bought these for my 2010 Lancer a bit before it was due for replacements because they were so cheap that I couldn't justify inspecting the existing plugs and not replacing them while I had them out. They seem to work at least as good as the OEM set that I took out. | 83% Fits perfectly, Hyundra Elantra 2006 November 10, 2016 Perfect drop in replacement for Hyundai Elantra 2006. You will want an extension for your socket wrench, and probably a gap tester just to be sure. I tested four of these and they all came in a 1.1mm. Popped them into the car, and have had no problems yet. Awesome replacement! Only use NGK products for Subarus. They are the best! October 29, 2016 After years of owning Subaru's, I've learned that they can be very finicky with what spark plugs and spark plug wires are being used on them. For reasons I can't fully articulate why, Subaru's run best when using NGK spark plugs and plug wires.I purchase this kit of NGK plugs and plug wires after discovering I had one cracked spark plug and another one that was coated with oil and not firing right. All four were Bosch and I replaced them with these NGK Iridium plugs and immediately I received a power boost in the car and it worked like an absolute charm! I'm making every effort to go through and replace the plugs in all of my Subaru's with NGK's and NGK wires. Great plugs May 30, 2016 I've used NGK plugs solely for the past few years. I swap them out every 50K +/- miles and they come out in good enough shape to use again... but if they are already out, I'm just going to replace them. *knock on wood* I've never had an issue with them and will keep on buying them. 5 Star Product - Must Have - Here's Why! May 26, 2016 This is the 3rd time, in 12 years that I have replaced the spark plugs on my 1999 Miata - Sport Trim, aka Silver-Bullet.14K Original Miles and when I was prepping it for the upcoming Safety Check, I immediately detected a audible "miss".Just don't ever take it out very often on the road anymore, simply because I don't trust parking lot's and other drivers, especially the oneswith beat-up jalopies!4 cylinders = 4 plugs. Replacement was dead simple, easy and required no special effort, like the #2 Down O2 Sensor I replaced 5 years ago.Luckily, the Gap's were all factory gauged and I did re-check them x 4 ... all within the Gap of .043 (1.1mm), and 3/4" (19mm) ...RESULT - Nothing but the perfect tone of a harmonious, subtle rumble ... like it was new ... all over again. WHAT a Difference.I took it for a spin and it ran even more Smooth & Nimble than before. These NGK Iridium IX Spark Plugs are not only highly-recommended, but they are a MUST INSTALL ... Pronto!Get Some Today!https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003BUCKQ8/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_17BTW - I'm planning on Selling this Collectable Miata sometime this year. Nice spark plugs for my 1996 Mazda Miata November 28, 2015 Nice spark plugs for my 1996 Mazda Miata. Over a 1000 miles since the install and working well. I didn't use any anti-seize being that NGK says not to use, and that the threads have some sort of chemical lining/coating not requiring it. Also, I've heard that applying anti-seize may affect the torque resulting in over-tightening. The torque setting was pretty low in the first place for this car 11-17 ft/lbs.My Miata has ~250,000 miles and still running like a champ. The beast loves these plugs. A top knotch product October 25, 2015 Though the manual says that you should use only twin ground electrode spark plug, NGK (5464) BKR5EIX-11 Iridium IX Spark Plug are the best suited for 1998 Toyota Corolla LE. The idling has improved drastically and the running. of the vehicle is so smooth, my wife sitting in the passenger seat expressed her satisfaction. Besides the plug comes with preset gap. '11' at the end of the plug code stands for 1.1mm (0.044-in) preset gap. It was so easy to install the plugs by lowering it in to the well with out dropping them with the help of Gear Wrench 80546 5/8-Inch x 6-Inch Swivel Spark.(magnetic) that I bought with the plugs. The matching is done very well by the Amazon if you only feed them with the correct description of your vehicle it will be a perfect match. I highly recommend this product. The plugs that was in the vehicle were Denso (3194) K16TR11 Traditional Spark Plug with Twin Ground Electrodes made in Japan appears to be the manufacturers initially installed plugs.Martin10/25/2015 |
Four Star Reviews: | 12% After I bought these I realized they are platinum and ... September 10, 2017 After I bought these I realized they are platinum and OEM for the Accord as near as I can tell is Iridum. I took my car into a dealer for the airbag recall after having these in for only 500 miles and they told me I needed new plugs! I think they were just trying to scam me as they could not possibly be worn after so few miles. Goes to show you need to watch out with auto shops, even franchised dealers. In this case it was a "top rated" Honda dealer. Four Stars September 4, 2017 Perfect fit and function for my son's 2005 VW Passat with the 1.8T engine Good spark plugs! January 19, 2017 Good priced spark plugs! I don't know much about gapping them so I can't comment on that. They all looked identical out of the box. I used these in a 1999 Toyota Camry LE 4-cyl. Seem to slightly improve engine performance over the spark plugs in there that had over 100k miles on them. | 10% Four Stars August 2, 2016 So far so good. Good performance. Did not greatly improve anything but they work well. Work well. July 28, 2015 Came on time, they are for a 2008 Prius. An article supposedly indicated an increase in gas mileage,(I'm getting greedy), but if anything we're getting slightly less. Run well, no glitches. Good plugs June 10, 2014 I bought these for my girls 05' Toyota corolla.......to replace at 100,000 milesThe ones I removed looked good after all those miles.......so I can only imagine that these will be trouble free for another 100.000!The car starts easier now.....less cranking So Far So good... June 5, 2012 Installed on a Early 00's Subaru Outback 2.5 liter, and installation was simple enough. Paired this purchase with NGK Plug wires and a Felpro Valve cover gasket kit. Arrived in perfect shape and the fit was correct. |
Three Star Reviews: | 3% ORDERED 8 SPARK PLUGS, ONLY RECEIVED 7, PAID ... July 8, 2017 ORDERED 8 SPARK PLUGS, ONLY RECEIVED 7, PAID FOR EIGHT, NOT SEVEN.. SOMEONE SHOULD DO A LITTLE QUALITY CONTROL ON THOSE PUTTING THE ORDERS TOGETHER. Not properly indexed! April 22, 2017 If you are kind of old school like me and you still check plug index, these were way off and all different. I used the exact same plugs (except platinum instead of iridium) because I liked how "spot on" the index was @ 35 ftlb. These new plugs are 180ish degrees off and all slightly different. If 12 o'clock is spot on, 1 was 6, 1 was 8, 1 was 5 and 1 was 4. I'll probably never buy denso again. I took a chance because I liked the ones that were in it. Seller was great, this is a manufacturer issue. They work ok, but my vehicle didn't like them. January 9, 2017 They work, but my 2005 Honda Element didn't like them. Very sluggish, down on power, lost 1 1/2 mpg. Work great, but one was cracked and could not use it August 10, 2016 Bought 4 of these for a Honda Element. One had cracked ceramic, so had to go to the local automotive store to replace it. The others worked great though. | 3% Three Stars October 10, 2015 Buyer beware as this item was very expensive. It pays to comparison shop. not installed yet June 4, 2014 I just can't say that I "LOVE" an spark plug or any other inanimate object and think you should change the top 5 star rating to "exceptional" or something other than "LOVE"! |
Two Star Reviews: | 2% Meh February 21, 2016 Well, the only thing good about it is that my car still starts and runs. I have an '07 Honda Fit w/ 110k. Tune-up time. Pulled the factory plugs; Denso Iridium. Didn't want to spend all kinds of cheddar. Figured I'd go with platinum and save $ since these were a great price. Bad idea. Car is sluggish now and mpg have decreased by about 4 mpg. I didn't gap them before the initial install. They came .038 out of the box not .040 as stated. Stock plugs were .051, but the Fit has a "mystery gap" apparently as the manual says .039-.043 yet the OEMs came out at .051, and car parts stores quote it at .044 OR .052. W T F! So I just finished gapping these Denso Platinums to .052 and reinstalled. When I pulled them out after only 200 miles on them, they looked pretty beat up. More beat up even than the Iridiums with 110k miles. Thinking about just reinstalling those. I've only driven about 10 miles so far with these Platinums gapped to .052 so it's too small a sample time to really tell if they work well, but out of the box I give them 2 stars. Pretty pissed about this. I figured with all the reviews and the Denso name, I'd be getting great performance and gas mileage, but so far these are performing like butt plugs rather than spark plugs. Strange..!! December 27, 2015 The item does not fit my BMW 2007 760li, when I purchased it was saying it fits..!! I installed these in my 2005 SAAB and my MPG ... June 16, 2015 I installed these in my 2005 SAAB and my MPG went down to 20mpg from 22-23. I ordered NGK copper, and replaced them. (MPG went up to 22-23 on my normal commute). | 1% Would like if seller contacted me October 10, 2015 Bought early this week, got yesterday, installed, and broke it broke off inside my head with a torque wrench at about 50lbs.Would like if seller contacted me. Not Good Spark Plug for my Nissan Frontier 2001 4x4 September 19, 2015 I have a nissan frontier after i install it it wont give me more power like my old sprk plug. I will come back to Double Platinum.. i don`t like it because it was damaged February 27, 2014 actually i like NGK product because the try to make spark plug work properlyi have already bought lots of their product but this time i got damaged product electric at service center said that two out of six had a misfirei am really disappointed |
One Star Reviews: | 4% 2004 VOLVO XC90 June 11, 2017 ONLY USE OEM RECOMMENDED PLUGS FOR VOLVO. I HAVE A 2004 XC90 140k MILES AND BLEW OUT FOUR OF THE FIVE IN LESS THAN 3 WEEKS...THE OTHER REVIEWS SPEAK OF MISFIRES WELL I CONFIRM. WHEN I REMOVED THEM TODAY I WAS ABLE TO MOVE THE CENTER OF EACH OF THE BAD PLUGS IN AND OUT ( YOU CAN ACTUALLY MOVE THE ANODE FROM 0 MM GAP OR TOUCHING TO 1/4 INCH GAP WITH NO EFFORT). EVERYWHERE VOLVO SAYS PLATINUM BUT ALSO SAYS ONE MANUFACTURER. IT'S ALL ABOUT THE TURBO. Bosch FR7DPP Original Equipment Replacement Spark Plug, (Pack of 1) Had to go to Auto Zone to get new spark plugs which is working fine. March 11, 2017 Bought these for my Honda Civic LX 2003. They worked for about a month and then one spark plug started burning and my car kept vibrating and jerky movements. Had to go to Auto Zone to get new spark plugs which is working fine. Changed and all was fine. Stick to the OEM December 3, 2016 2006 Audi s4 b7 4.2l Misfire and engine codes. Changed and all was fine. Stick to the OEM NGK | 3% Im sure the product would be great but unfortunately Amazon said these would fit a Toyota ... February 6, 2017 Im sure the product would be great but unfortunately Amazon said these would fit a Toyota Corolla 2011. They do not. I ended up wasting my money. One Star October 11, 2014 it is not for the 1999 toyota corolla CE 1.8 car.. TWIN ELECTORDE PLUGS ONLY The item does not fit in my car... January 17, 2014 Not sure why and how the amazon catalog showed the spark plug as compatible with my car and later on when I received the product it did no fit in my car, I immediately went back to the catalog to double check the order and the product details and guess what?, the product now does not fit as per the catalog, now I have to purchase again more spark plugs...Great! DID NOT FIT AS ADVERTISED December 14, 2011 It advertised it fit our 2002 honda foreman. It did not... Wasted my money. The tip on the plug was different. WARNING TO SUBARU OWNERS August 13, 2011 Amazon stated this plug worked with my 05 legacy gt limited. It in fact does not. The plug here is meant for the non-turbo'd 2.0 motor not the 2.5 turbo. You can imagine the trouble this could cause.Had to have the car towed to the dealer after the motor began to run poorly, heading to a stall in drive and shutter while in park. Dealer said no long term damage was done but that it could have been much worse.Likely no fault of the NGK plug but Amazon's system for getting it wrong. Either way I am leaving this as a 1 star in hope that people searching will wonder why 1 star and save themselves the expensive troubles I faced. While Amazon covered the cost of getting my car fixed and inspected at the dealer, I see 2-3 weeks later their system still says it works. Dealer made it very clear these plugs were wrong and showed me the difference. It's visible. We spend about 10K/year on Amazon but I will likely not get auto parts again. Was my first time. |
