I wanted a cheap but sturdy power tower and I GOT ONE
March 18, 2017
I wanted a cheap but sturdy power tower and I GOT ONE!!!!! WOOT WOOT!!! I weigh 170 pounds and this tower does not even flinch. This is all I wanted!
Bad Amazon, or Bad UPS
January 2, 2017
Wow, even though I have exercised regularly for years, even though there's not a ton of exercises this is good for, my body is going to have to get used to the different things you can do with this. I like the fact that it hit previously unused muscle groups and the fact that this is well designed, well built, has very clear instructions and assembles easily. I put it all together tightening the nuts only until the nylock began to grab, then went around and made them all good and tight. I also set it up so the upper bar extends over the arm pads, opposite of what's shown, because I'm dealing with a vaulted ceiling that presents height limitations. No extra drilling or other modifications were required for this and for my size (5' 9") the upper bar still works as intended, although if you're over 6' this might not work as well. Because of space limitations I also can't use the pushup handles but no big deal.My one HUGE issue with this order is not the equipment (hence no star deduction) but with Amazon. This was supposed to be delivered (Prime) two days before Christmas. When two days after Christmas it still hadn't shown up and UPS tracking showed "Your package was not received at the UPS facility as originally scheduled. This may cause a delay." I placed a new order (which did show up when scheduled) but Amazon wouldn't let me cancel the first one, only offered a "return" which I processed but can't return something I still haven't received 10 days after it was ordered, and UPS tracking still doesn't show it every entered their system. My big beef here is with Amazon and not being able to contact the appropriate department to get this straightened out for a refund. So far I've paid for two of these and only have one.
and I'm so glad I made this purchase
December 8, 2016
Purchased it recently when I saw the price drop to below a hundred dollars, and I'm so glad I made this purchase. I was also considering IRONMAN Triathlon X Class Multi-Function Power Tower at four hundred dollars, but decided to purchase this and save 300 bucks. The package arrived in a large box, and came with all parts. Followed the instructions carefully, and took about 30 minutes to put together without any problems.I did hesitate purchasing this due to the negative reviews I read here. I didn't encounter any of the issues in the negative reviews. The tower once assembled is pretty stable, and I have it on a thick-pile carpeted surface. The tower is well designed with a nicely finished surface.I'm very happy with this purchase.
WOW! Two thumbs up!

I'm astounded that Amazon was able to sell me this equipment for $99 delivered ! You would be lucky to even find something like this used on Craig's List for that price, it has to cost half that just to ship it I imagine, I guess I was in the right place at the right time. Anyway, it's sturdy, stable, very functional and well designed. A key feature is that the pull up bar is on the opposite side as the dip station, some manufacturers make theirs with both on the same side resulting in your head hitting the bar when doing dips. It was easy to assemble and is an attractive piece of equipment for the home gym.
Use this for P90X and love it.

I'm 6'2" and weigh 190. It does come up a little off the floor when doing wide pull ups but nothing a little weight on the end can't fix. Use this for P90X and love it.
Great Value for the price.
March 7, 2013
There were no reviews when I bought this and I am 6'3" 210 lbs so I was worried that this tower was going to not be stable enough. But to my surprise, this tower is built like a tank. Very sturdy and heavy. The tower is about 7'6" tall. I can do pull ups and dips without issue (well I still have an issue in doing them, but the tower has no issue holding my weight). The tower arrives in pieces in one box. The box is very heavy and you might need help lifting it. Follow the instructions and DO NOT tighten the bolts until it is fully assembled. You might also need some help in getting it assembled. Four hands would be better than two. I did it alone and wished I had help a few times. Make sure it is level before tightening everything and you will be ready to go. My only complaint is that my hands we black after putting it together. I guess it is from the powder coating. I have not noticed any paint coming off while using it, but all of the places you put your hands to do exercises have rubber grips. Overall I am very pleased with this tower and would recommend it to anyone looking for this type of equipment. It will also make a great clothes hanger if you stop using it :)

Seems sturdy. Arrived undamaged.
September 21, 2017
There are several features that I would have designed differently. It was clearly made for someone of greater stature than my 5'3".That said, it seems sturdy. It was easy to put together. The directions were simple enough to follow. (Tightening that many bolts all at once was a nuisance, but not much of one.) The package arrived in typical shape for UPS deliveries. No damage noted at this time, and all parts were in the package.
Not bad at all for the price, just one issue.
February 12, 2017
Great to get a few sets in, and for the price can't really complain. The only issue I noticed no matter how carefully you put it together it wobbles and isn't balanced. Could just be my model but all in and all it's a nice product.I'm about 5'10 so the height of the product works perfectly for me, some of my taller friends over 6'2 seemed not to like it as much but still worked for them.Would recommend just make sure yours doesn't wobble, I should have called amazon about it but didn't think they could do much.Put it together alone and took about 2 to 3 hours, also make sure where ever you put it together is where you're going to use it, not fun to move.
Good quality, nightmare set up, but great value
February 8, 2017
I waited a while to post this to see how this thing holds up. Not as sturdy as expensive gym equipment but holds together and still feels safe, I'm 185 and do lots of pull ups and dips with this thin daily, if you put it together tight the first time, it's good to go. The arm pads are a little wide for dips and leg lifts though, makes an uncomfortable workout. Putting it together is kind of an undertaking in itself as well.
The box was trashed and taped back together but everything looked fine when I opened it
October 7, 2016
This arrived late in the evening and was put together the next morning. The box was trashed and taped back together but everything looked fine when I opened it. There were only three real issues with my order: 1- One of the foam handles was split and needs to be either repaired or replaced since it in an area where it will get heavy use. 2- The device is off level and when assembled when three legs were on the ground one was about 1/16 to 1/8 off the ground, maybe it will sort itself out and I can add some tape to shim it a bit. 3- Well actually this one addresses two issues, I was missing a screw for the bottom leg where it inserts in the hole and in the same hole on the opposite side the screw would not set firmly and wouldn't tighten because there was no resistance.I don't think that had anything to do with the unevenness, but it may resolve once two new screws are inserted. Overall this was easy to put together and except for the issues mentioned seems to be what I was looking for.
Not perfect, but don't let that stop you- it's worth having.
May 12, 2016
After reading the reviews, I had my doubts & concerns about it, but I'm glad we bought it. Follow the directions in order & don't tighten prematurely (some pieces will go together better if tightened after both sides are started). It's sturdier than I thought it would be- only gripe is that the arm/elbow pads move a little bit right now & that will only get worse as they get worked, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. Happy about the purchase.
Nice, solid piece of equipment (except for the arm rests).
August 13, 2015
Nice, solid piece of equipment (except for the arm rests). Fairly easy to assemble using either two adjustable wrenches, or a socket set plus one wrench. All of the bolts and washers were well organized on a labeled backing. Each metal piece was individually wrapped. Instructions say that two people are required for assembly, but I was able to assemble it myself by sometimes leaning it against a small step ladder until it would support itself, and by using a small rope to keep the two horizontal pieces in place for a minute or two (they support the arm rests).I subtracted a star because the cushioned arm rests aren't securely fastened to their support arms. The cushions have flat bottoms, while the supports are curved tubes, so the cushions wobble a little. I wish they'd sell brackets that would solve the problem! ) Overall, I am pleased with the equipment and absolutely would recommend it.

as I can get more easily. It was just annoying
February 27, 2017
This product arrived quickly, but the sealed package containing the nuts and bolts was open and the parts were scattered in the box. After taking the entire box apart, I was missing three of the washers. Not a big deal, as I can get more easily. It was just annoying, better packaging would resolve that. Putting the system together though was very difficult as the holes for the parts did not line up at all. The bottom stabilizer arms were over an inch off and required me to use a rope to create enough tension to get the holes to line up. For exercises, the dip bar flexes (bends a little) while doing dips (200 pound guy) that hopefully will not over the long term cause problems. Everything else worked fine.
Cheap Fix
January 5, 2017
It works and it's a good deal for the price... the only reason for 3 stars is the package and assembly. The package was a huge mess. The box was ripped everywhere and all the bolts were loose. There were missing washers and other small pieces. Then there's the assembly... most of the thing needed to be hammered together just to fit where it was supposed to. The damaged box allowed some parts to be ripped or scratched. I was going to use different pads and handles so it's whatever to me.
Gets the Job Done
July 28, 2016
Decent product. I always use other customer reviews when making a purchase and this product was no different. I'm not unhappy with the Weider Power Tower but can't say I love it either. This is an OK product for the home gym. The assembly is fairly easy for two people. As mentioned by others, the packaging does not hold-up well for transport and I can definitely see parts being damaged for some customers.I'm 6'0, 195 lbs and this tower squeaks and wobbles a bit when using--this isn't a result of poor assembly on my part--everything is assembled properly and securely. I use the tower daily and it works fine. The price was definitely a plus; however, you are very much getting what you pay for.
Light use only
July 4, 2016
This tower is ok for body weight only exercises. For people that do weighted dips/pull ups you'll need to find a heavy duty dip station rated for 500 lbs and a power rack for weighted chins/pull ups. I weigh 200lbs and tried 100lb dips and it bent the dip bars. The pull up bar flexes with 100 lbs on my dip belt. Just beware of what this towers limits are. It says rated for 300 lbs but it can't handle regular work outs with this much weight. If you're an experienced weighted dipper and chin up guy this tower isn't for you. This is for light workouts only. Weider should rate this for 250lbs like most cheaper power towers on the market. Oh and the warranty sucks.
Nice enough -- if you can put it together!
December 29, 2015
The Power Tower, once constructed, is sturdy and nice looking. It doesn't feel quite as solid as a gym unit but definitely good enough for home. It's light enough for two people to easily move (one person if you are strong -- like my son). My biggest gripe was the assembly. I had two issues. One was that the holes were not properly aligned for the curved supports. I had to loosely assemble the base to get all the screws in and then tighten them down. That worked but there are some gaps in the joints that would not be there if it were more accurately drilled. The other, more troublesome issue was with the carriage bolts. Firstly the square holes they were supposed to fit into aren't cut but rather punched which means that in some cases, they weren't big enough and in other cases, the metal "tore" as I tightened the bold and the carriage bolt just spun in its hole! Without this handy device (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006YJKAPQ?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00), I would likely have never been able to assemble the unit. This is a real flaw in the construction and the company should fix it! The carriage bolt holes should be cut (like the hex bolt holes on the uprights) rather than punched.
OK for the price
December 27, 2014
It is OK for the price. "you get what you pay for". Follow the directions of not tightening the bolts until the final step. It does not lay flat but that could be my gym floor. Even not entirely flat I feel safe on it. A few composite shims should help without being adversely effected by sweat. It is BIG but that can generally be determined by dimensions and pictures. The plastic parts are VERY brittle. One pre-installed cap was already broken when I received it. The two caps for the pull up bar broke when installing them just putting them in with my hands. They are not required for proper usage so no big deal. This is a Weider from Icon so again, you get what you pay for. Don't go into the purchase thinking you are buying a high quality piece of equipment. It does work for what I need but I am only 160-170 lbs.

July 30, 2017
The quality is there, very sturdy (wobbles a little bit on the pull up bar when my husband tried it out). However, the other functions on this power tower are virtually unusable with my 5'2" frame. It's about 4 inches too wide so a crunch has nothing to do with ab work and 100% to do with pushing out to hold myself up (I feel it in my chest and arms). So if you're a bigger person I highly recommend it, but if you're small framed like me it sadly will not work for you.
Not impressed
December 17, 2016
Condition:-Product was put together by someone with knowledge of metal work, and after completing it, using the instructions, it's warped badly. The legs are turned in and down, so that it rocks badly.-There is also a hole in one of the legs, that you can tell came from something falling on it.Review of quality: The arms are too far apart, and flat, so that it hurts my rotator cuffs when I pull up, and I'm broad shouldered.. They need to turned in, and the pad designed to support your elbows.Aside from all that I have enjoyed what does work well..

April 14, 2016
I purchased 2 of these pull up towers. The first was for my Son. It arrived without any issues. The product assymbled without problems and we were very satisfied.I purchased a second tower and received what appears to be someone's return. I recieved a damaged shipping box and the parts inside had been opened before. Not mention some were damaged. My expectations were not met. We'll see if I can get the replacement parts needed?
Low price, low quality, bad customer service.
January 14, 2016
Buy at your own risk! The pull up bar in mine has the holes in incorrect spots. If I could go back I'd spend more $ for a better quality product. Customer service from Weider is nonexistent as well. I contacted them on 12/31/15 after I registered the tower its now 01/14/16 and I haven't received any sort of response.Other than the crappy customer service, the stand itself feels fairly cheap and rickety. It serves its purpose for now, but I will be upgrading to a better quality tower in the future. I think for most users it'll work just fine, but if you're gonna be using this daily for high intensity workouts you may want to look into a higher quality stand.
Pieces all here but no instructions and its torn
October 29, 2015
All the pieces and parts were included unlike some of the other reviewers except for the assembly instructions. I had to download them since none were included in the box. Trusty Google to the rescue!!The pad was pretty ripped up. I didn't notice until I picked it up to mount it on the tower. :-(Seems sturdy enough, just a bummer that the pad is in bad shape. Would return it if I hadn't put it together already.
Directions were easy enough and bolts/screws were all labeled correctly
September 8, 2015
Took me 40 minutes to put together. Directions were easy enough and bolts/screws were all labeled correctly. Will update later when I have a chance to use it.Edit: it is too wide, making leg lifts or dips very uncomfortable. We are keeping it for the pull-up bar and bc it's alot to take apart. Would not recommend ro anyone that doesn't have a very large frame.

Yup, no holes line up, short washers and bolts.... Bar fabricated 3 inches short...
January 25, 2017
Usually when I read reviews about people having defects or wrong items and stuff I shrug it off cuz they're the 1/million mishap. Well, thought I'd do the same with this. Not. Holes don't match up. Actually short three washers in a sealed packet(?) and the rounded toe raise bar, the weld's don't bend enough to even link the ends to the upright poles... The bar that goes on the back rest is 3 inches too SHORT!!!!! The pull up bar's holes don't align to the top poles either. Shipped and handled fine but overall product quality? Garbage. I have had it for a few days now and I still haven't put it together. I'm not sending it back due to the wasted time it would be... but I have to make a second trip to Home Depot to buy the right sized washers, drill bit and clamps. Do not buy this.
Possible Open Box item
February 26, 2016
Product appears to be decent quality, but won't know for sure until I go to Lowes to get additional hardware to assemble. The hardware package that comes with the unit appeared to have been opened and taped back together. When I opened the main package, nuts, bolts and washers were all over the place. On top of that, I am missing a fair amount and cannot complete assembly. Very disappointed as the unit seemed to have been a good deal and good quality. Also, what has been assembled so far has not been a perfect fit as one would expect. I should have just gotten a power rack as I was initially considering.

January 1, 2016
Buy another tower. The one I got came with screws on the bottem that wouldn't work on one side. The bolts are supposed fit in just right so they don't turn. My guess is they drilled the wholes too big so mine just kept turning round and round, and the bolts are flattened on the other side so there was no way to hold them from the other side. So 20 bucks latter (had to buy a hack saw because one of the bolts that wouldn't screw in, now, wouldn’t screw back out) I replaced the bolts with something I could actually tighten and my NEW tower now works :/
Ordered two items both missing parts!
December 31, 2015
I ordered two of these items one for me and one for my sister in law. Both items came on time and both items were missing pieces. One was missing the arm pads for the ab workout and the other was missing assembly parts so I'm still unable to put it together. Very disappointed that I could order two products and both have issues!

August 29, 2015
Arrived in a destroyed box, missing locknuts. After finally getting replacements from Weider, I assembled it, but everything was crooked and unsturdy. I reassembled, spending at least another couple of hours trying to get it even, but it seems like the pieces are slightly bent or one support is slightly longer than the other. Finally gave up and disassembled it and returned it.
Not able to assemble due to a product defect
April 26, 2015
Not so good meanwhile. One of upright beams has holes drilled on wrong height, so I cannot really assemble this thing.Let's see how good customer support will be. Will update later.Update 5/6: Downvoting to 1 star. The uprights were not in stock with no ETA.I decided to exchange with Amazon. Got new box - the uprights were fine, but... pull up bar had the holes drilled too far apart.Returned for refund.Summary: was not able to assemble two different packages due to similar factory defects.
