Five Star Reviews: | 80% Quality, worthwhile upgrade from an OEM spark plug March 3, 2017 Used these as a replacement for the Bosch 2-electrode spark plugs I had in my (2.0L) 2008 Dodge Caliber engine which were end-of-life.I like the fact that they come pre-gapped (one less thing to do, albeit a rather trivial matter even for the minimally-experienced DIY mechanic). Installation was straight-forward. I highly recommend torquing them to spec (get a decent 3/8" drive torque wrench and spark plug socket) to ensure you don't damage the spark plug and/or threads in cylinder head which can turn a sub half-hour job into a nightmare. Test ran the engine and noticed improved acceleration and idling. After several weeks, I'm still pleased with this product. Would recommend. Awesome value, improved performance September 20, 2016 What a great value. I replaced the spark plugs on my old Accord and I noticed:--Improved acceleration--Quicker and smoother gear shifting--Improved fuel economyReplacing is quick and easy. Just make sure you have the tools you need. I didn't even need a torque wrench. Excellent product September 8, 2016 I am glad I found these. I have a 2003 Honda CR-v with over 250,000 miles. The recent tune up I did was pushing 150,000 miles (I know, but it has been a busy year). You could tell that the plugs were used when I pulled them out, but I didn't see any excessive wear and the CR-v was still running very well. Bosch Platinum+4 November 30, 2015 These are some bad boys!!! I took out my over-gapped pieces of crap out of my 3.7L Jeep Liberty and installed these. I swear i picked up 1.5 miles per gallon. The engine is smoother as well. The perform very very well. Coming off of the burnt up spark plugs that were in it to theses transformed the vehicle! What an awesome product. Best plugs made, in my opinion. August 31, 2015 No need to index these babies in my hot rod. I love these, have them in all my MOPARS. Engines are 2 each 345 Hemis, 489 stroker B block with Indy cylinder heads, 318 small block. They work fantastic in all, and I recommend them over any other brand mainly because of my 318 work horse. It has over 120,000 miles on the current set of Bosch platinum plus 4 plugs. Mileage has not changed since I put them in and runs smooth as silk. Last milage check on 85 octane gas was 9 MPG: 98 Dodge Sport 4x4. This truck got the exact same milage brand new. Bosch +4 plugs for 02 4.7ltr Dakota November 27, 2013 I had used the Bosch +2 plugs in my 02 Dodge Dakota since purchased new and have been pleased with this brand. Unable to find the Bosch +2 I upgraded to the Bosch +4 and had significant improvement to the smoothness of acceleration and impression of more power. I change plugs every 30,000 miles per maintenance schedule rather than wait until any reduction in mileage or performance. I would highly recommend this product.I just installed the second set after 30,000 more miles and continue to be very satisfied. | 79% Can't go wrong with Denso August 2, 2017 I worried it mght not perform well due to the price relative to others. But i chose the Denso brand as it is a big deal for Lexus and it has lived up to the billing. Ride is definitely smoother. Great Product, Great Price December 24, 2016 I bought these for my 2010 Lancer a bit before it was due for replacements because they were so cheap that I couldn't justify inspecting the existing plugs and not replacing them while I had them out. They seem to work at least as good as the OEM set that I took out. |
Four Star Reviews: | 7% I love pre gapped plugs August 2, 2017 I love pre gapped plugs. Buying the plugs is the easy part. Getting them in was a different story. lol Seem to be working fine. February 22, 2017 Installed in a jeep grand cherokee 2004 4.0l. She starts up fine. I cannot tell if there is any better gas mileage or if it has anymore pep. With that being my situation, they are fairly expensive as replacement plugs. didn't note much difference from original at 80 k. ... November 9, 2015 didn't note much difference from original at 80 k .. but I guess they are ok .. Honda element sc Bosch Spark Plugs May 26, 2014 Unfortunately these items weren't able to deliver to a FPO, AP address. However, I had it deliver to my parents on stateside and had my dad forward it to me. It took some time, nonetheless, I was satisfied with the product.V/r, Nik 2008 Dodge ram 1500 4.7l July 28, 2012 I put these in my truck and it runs a little smother now, dont notice to much a difference but i am happy with them so far and its easy to do yourself if you can access the holes to unscrew and put them in. remember to use the lube to coat the plugs when putting the in. ask your local car place like autozone. | 12% After I bought these I realized they are platinum and ... September 10, 2017 After I bought these I realized they are platinum and OEM for the Accord as near as I can tell is Iridum. I took my car into a dealer for the airbag recall after having these in for only 500 miles and they told me I needed new plugs! I think they were just trying to scam me as they could not possibly be worn after so few miles. Goes to show you need to watch out with auto shops, even franchised dealers. In this case it was a "top rated" Honda dealer. Four Stars September 4, 2017 Perfect fit and function for my son's 2005 VW Passat with the 1.8T engine Good spark plugs! January 19, 2017 Good priced spark plugs! I don't know much about gapping them so I can't comment on that. They all looked identical out of the box. I used these in a 1999 Toyota Camry LE 4-cyl. Seem to slightly improve engine performance over the spark plugs in there that had over 100k miles on them. |
Three Star Reviews: | 3% 2003 Dodge Intrepid ...fouled quickly March 4, 2013 The plugs carbon fouled in a short time, I installed in Jan. and plugs needed to be cleaned in April. The cleaning of this style of plug is a bit of a challenge with the four electrodes blocking the tip. Lightly fouled plugs can be cleaned chemically, good luck if you need to brush clean them. Except for the plugs fouling so quickly they performed no better or worse than any other plug. As for them fouling so quickly I suspect that they are not hot enough for my vehicle. In the future I would not by this style of plug with 4 electrodes due to the difficulty in cleaning them. Do NOT buy for 2009 Dodge Charger with 3.5L V6 February 27, 2013 So I didn't give a 0 star review, but I will say that these plugs do not fit into a 2009 Dodge Charger with a 3.5L V6. The plugs are 1/4 inch short on each side of the nut (1/2" total) which will not allow them to mate properly in the coil or have the correct spark location.I'm not saying they're bad plugs, because they're probably great in the right vehicle, I just wanted to warn people that there's an error in which car these go to. If you go to Bosch's website, they do not show this plug for this car. | 3% ORDERED 8 SPARK PLUGS, ONLY RECEIVED 7, PAID ... July 8, 2017 ORDERED 8 SPARK PLUGS, ONLY RECEIVED 7, PAID FOR EIGHT, NOT SEVEN.. SOMEONE SHOULD DO A LITTLE QUALITY CONTROL ON THOSE PUTTING THE ORDERS TOGETHER. Not properly indexed! April 22, 2017 If you are kind of old school like me and you still check plug index, these were way off and all different. I used the exact same plugs (except platinum instead of iridium) because I liked how "spot on" the index was @ 35 ftlb. These new plugs are 180ish degrees off and all slightly different. If 12 o'clock is spot on, 1 was 6, 1 was 8, 1 was 5 and 1 was 4. I'll probably never buy denso again. I took a chance because I liked the ones that were in it. Seller was great, this is a manufacturer issue. They work ok, but my vehicle didn't like them. January 9, 2017 They work, but my 2005 Honda Element didn't like them. Very sluggish, down on power, lost 1 1/2 mpg. Work great, but one was cracked and could not use it August 10, 2016 Bought 4 of these for a Honda Element. One had cracked ceramic, so had to go to the local automotive store to replace it. The others worked great though. |
Two Star Reviews: | 1% Save your money, and check your actual vehicle spec ... January 21, 2017 Save your money, and check your actual vehicle spec instead of using amazon to see if it fits. These will fit a lot of vehicles however the gap is .061, which is not my vehicle's spec, these also cannot be gapped. I'm left wondering if they were engineered this way, or if they just want to sell more plugs. | 2% Meh February 21, 2016 Well, the only thing good about it is that my car still starts and runs. I have an '07 Honda Fit w/ 110k. Tune-up time. Pulled the factory plugs; Denso Iridium. Didn't want to spend all kinds of cheddar. Figured I'd go with platinum and save $ since these were a great price. Bad idea. Car is sluggish now and mpg have decreased by about 4 mpg. I didn't gap them before the initial install. They came .038 out of the box not .040 as stated. Stock plugs were .051, but the Fit has a "mystery gap" apparently as the manual says .039-.043 yet the OEMs came out at .051, and car parts stores quote it at .044 OR .052. W T F! So I just finished gapping these Denso Platinums to .052 and reinstalled. When I pulled them out after only 200 miles on them, they looked pretty beat up. More beat up even than the Iridiums with 110k miles. Thinking about just reinstalling those. I've only driven about 10 miles so far with these Platinums gapped to .052 so it's too small a sample time to really tell if they work well, but out of the box I give them 2 stars. Pretty pissed about this. I figured with all the reviews and the Denso name, I'd be getting great performance and gas mileage, but so far these are performing like butt plugs rather than spark plugs. Strange..!! December 27, 2015 The item does not fit my BMW 2007 760li, when I purchased it was saying it fits..!! I installed these in my 2005 SAAB and my MPG ... June 16, 2015 I installed these in my 2005 SAAB and my MPG went down to 20mpg from 22-23. I ordered NGK copper, and replaced them. (MPG went up to 22-23 on my normal commute). |
One Star Reviews: | 9% Not Chrysler Pacifica OE Product May 27, 2017 Bosch may be a quality product, but this not compatible with Chrysler Pacifica. I bought it because Amazon said if would fit my vehicle. I installed and discovered they were not compatible with my car real fast when I started the car up. I just hope there is no damage to my car! I checked Bosch's website and they said the spark plugs would not work with my car. Other auto parts stores said same thing. Recommend you check with other sites when even when Amazon's "This fits your..." says it will.I could not return because it was an Add on item according to Amazon return policy. So I am stuck with 18 spark plugs I can't use. I only ordered and paid for 6 spark plugs, but Amazon sent me 18. Mileage drop on Dodge 3.7L V6 October 4, 2016 I installed these plugs and mileage dropped 2 miles per gallon NOT THE PLUGS TO USE FOR THE DODGE CARS OR TRUCKS August 20, 2015 THE AIR GAP MESSES WITH THE ECM..ENGINE WILL SKIP ON COLD MORNINGS..DO NOT USE DODGE 4.7 ENGINES Amazon wrong April 20, 2015 Amazon said these would fit my 2007 suburban. I found out after installing them, that they are not the beveled seat plug. | 4% 2004 VOLVO XC90 June 11, 2017 ONLY USE OEM RECOMMENDED PLUGS FOR VOLVO. I HAVE A 2004 XC90 140k MILES AND BLEW OUT FOUR OF THE FIVE IN LESS THAN 3 WEEKS...THE OTHER REVIEWS SPEAK OF MISFIRES WELL I CONFIRM. WHEN I REMOVED THEM TODAY I WAS ABLE TO MOVE THE CENTER OF EACH OF THE BAD PLUGS IN AND OUT ( YOU CAN ACTUALLY MOVE THE ANODE FROM 0 MM GAP OR TOUCHING TO 1/4 INCH GAP WITH NO EFFORT). EVERYWHERE VOLVO SAYS PLATINUM BUT ALSO SAYS ONE MANUFACTURER. IT'S ALL ABOUT THE TURBO. Bosch FR7DPP Original Equipment Replacement Spark Plug, (Pack of 1) Had to go to Auto Zone to get new spark plugs which is working fine. March 11, 2017 Bought these for my Honda Civic LX 2003. They worked for about a month and then one spark plug started burning and my car kept vibrating and jerky movements. Had to go to Auto Zone to get new spark plugs which is working fine. Changed and all was fine. Stick to the OEM December 3, 2016 2006 Audi s4 b7 4.2l Misfire and engine codes. Changed and all was fine. Stick to the OEM NGK |
