Five Star Reviews: | 39% There are no reviews yet | 62% There are no reviews yet |
Four Star Reviews: | 16% There are no reviews yet | 18% Good product and price May 28, 2017 The material is on the thin side, but they are well made. I had a slight issue with my order, but customer service rectified it quickly and to my satisfaction. Good Wraps April 23, 2017 Good enough for my kickboxing class. It gives extra cushion to my knuckles and wrists (in addition to my boxing gloves), just what I need since I punch pretty hard (what's the point of doing kickboxing if you can't give 100%, no?)On one wrap, the Velcro was sewn on the wrong side so when I finished the wrap I couldn't tape the Velcro. It's not a big deal though, I just had to flip the wrap before finish wrapping so the Velcro can be on the right side (hence -1 star).Overall, good wraps, I just bought a new pack of 3. Great wraps April 16, 2017 Excellent elastic material, not to thick, just right for a tight comfortable wrap securely around the hands. The smell of dye will wash out over time, but that is the only com. Great Wraps March 2, 2016 Excellent wraps. These are much better than the previous ones I've used from a major manufacturer. They are comfortable and offer better cushioning than others I've used. They have just a little bit of elasticity so they snug nicely to your hands. Very good protection when working the heavy bag. Not perfect, but pretty good July 30, 2015 These did smell very chemically when I first opened the package, but after a quick hand wash and air dry they were fine. They don't bleed like a lot of other wraps do, and they have some stretch to them which is wonderful. I take a kickboxing class that has a lot of HIIT type warm ups and cool downs so I tend to wrap my hands tighter than I should, so that the wraps are not slipping all over the place with burpees or push ups before the kickboxing starts. These allow me to wrap tighter, and the stretch helps so that no blood flow is being cut off. They do however, stretch out even more as you use them, which ends up making them even longer than the 180 inches after a while. I only hand wash and air dry, but a friend of mine puts them in a garment bag, and then washes hers in a washer machine and dries them in a dryer and they shrink back up to compensate for them stretching as time goes on. So far I have had these for 6 months and with classes and hand washing 3x a week they are still going strong. My only complaint is that they are a little on the thin side, which makes you wrap more on the hands rather than the wrists for some protection when you are using focus mitts with out gloves My heavy bag companions August 30, 2014 I've been using these hand wraps for a few weeks now. For the pros, these wraps are phenomenal at the price. The material isn't thick which personally means flexibility. Since I've used them, I've not experienced wrist discomfort at all and my knuckles are well protected. I have huge hands, and I use a lot of power when I hit the bags. These wraps have shown to withstand the battering. The only con I can think of is the thumb loop which refuses to stay in place because it's stretchy. So make sure you get that thumb loop on tight while wrapping these. Another thing that bothered me was that shipping this item cost more than buying it! |
Three Star Reviews: | 15% There are no reviews yet | 10% Thin material, too long August 24, 2017 These are okay. I have several from Title, which I like a lot. These are a much thinner material and very, very long. They're fine, but they are not my favorite. I prefer the Title wraps. These wraps are a great length, but the fabric is thinner than other ... August 22, 2017 These wraps are a great length, but the fabric is thinner than other wraps I have used. They are advertised as being able to be used for boxing, but I don't recommend it. My hands were bruised up from hitting the bag when I used these wraps under my gloves. They smell bad May 1, 2017 I purchased a black pair of hand wraps and they work fine, however, they smell! I followed the instructions on how to clean them and the smell would no go away. After I initially followed the instructions I machine washed them and it took about 3 times to reduce the smell. I have since used fabric softener and order defense detergent and they smell better. I purchased a different brand and they had NO smell. I like to colors that meister offers, but I can't deal with the smell. eh March 30, 2017 When I saw these I was like I must have, when they arrived, I was disappointed because one of the wraps was vibrant colors and the other was pale and really light. I figured it was okay since they were for kickboxing and they would be in my gloves. Well after I washed them first time they completely faded and turned this dirty gray color. I threw them away....Im giving 3 stars cause overall the wrap worked the way it should, the look of it was not good. This is for the pink camouflage wraps. Meh..... October 18, 2016 I love the look of these wraps, but that's really where it ends. There is not a lot of stretch to them, and the material is too slick, so they slip when I'm doing warm-ups without the boxing gloves to hold them in place. I don't know what happened to Meister wraps - my favorite pair is about 7 years old, and I still use them despite the purchase of many new pairs. The material is weird and doesn't stretch as much (so I don't get as tight a wrap), and the thumb loops are tiny, not long enough to wrap around the rolled wrap to hold it in place like my old wraps. I don't hate them, but meh..... good wraps for the price August 19, 2013 i owned these for about 2 months and use them heavily training in MMA about 4 times a week.i bought the digital camo prints and absolutely love the print and so did everyone at my gym.wearing them for the first time, the wraps felt flimsy and like there wasnt much support.they were very elasticity but were very comfortable.within about 1-2 weeks of use, the printing/color started fading. now at 2 months, the print is faded in a lot of areas but it's still clear enough that you can tell it's camo and it has seemed to stop fading or at least slowed a lot.i did follow the instructions the first few times of use but the fading has not been a big concern for me especially for the price of these wraps, i think they're still worth it.i actually prefer the feel of these wraps at the 2 month mark than i did when i first wore them. they are not really elastic anymore but i find they provide more support and feel a lot more solid now.my biggest gripe with these wraps is the velcro strap. it's a joke and the stitching for the velcro started to fall apart the first week. they're still attached but about half the stitching is gone at this point and also the velcro itself has weakened substantially since i've owned them.i would pay more money for these if they would improve the straps and make them better and i think it'd be a good move for Meister.i think these wraps are good for the price you pay for them. i can get some more months out of them and i can always upgrade the straps myself but i dont know if i'll get a whole year out of these wraps with the original velcro straps.the threading of the wraps themselves have held up just fine for the duration i've owned them. |
Two Star Reviews: | 14% There are no reviews yet | 5% WOULD NOT BUY AGAIN September 24, 2017 WOULD NOT BUY AGAIN.Bought these and some Pro Impact wraps at the same time. I've had a chance to test both products, and I would recommend Pro Impact wraps.LESS SUPPORT:The Meister fabric is softer, more thin, and so less bulky under gloves. But it doesn't offer the same support as the Pro Impacts. I had to wrap the Meisters really tight (to where the velcro barely attached) to get the same support I could get from wrapping Pro Impacts lightly.THEY SMELL BAD:The Meister wraps held on to sweat funk even after rinsing them in the sink. I had to machine wash them. The Pro Impacts were easy to hand wash in the sink and hang dry. No lingering smell with the Pro Impacts.CRAPPY VELCRO ATTACHMENT DESIGN:The velcro on the Meister hangs off the end of the fabric. It could easily be ripped off. The Pro Impacts velcro is sewn entirely on the fabric. It won't easily rip off.I won't buy Meister Wraps again. Fine for getting started August 26, 2017 These were my first set of wraps for kickboxing and they're fine. I purchased a second set by another brand that I like better. These feel a bit thin and also seem longer then I really need. Not a bad product but not one I will purchase again. Not Elastic July 31, 2017 These are advertised as 'semi-elastic,' but just be warned it's basically no stretch/give at all. I wouldn't recommend these to anyone actually using these for MMA or striking. One wrap too short June 17, 2017 Bought these for my boyfriend and after wrapping his hands, he noticed one seemed a bit shorter. Sure enough, when we compared the two one was significantly shorter than the other. It shouldn't be an issue of it shrinking either because he washes all his wraps (same brand) together on the same setting and this is the only pair that has this issue. Seams coming loose already. May 3, 2017 These wraps were great, however the seams are starting to come loose on these after two months of use. I have only hand washed them in the sink, per the instructions, and hung dry. However they do not appear that they will hold up for "normal" use, let alone long term use. I would look at other wraps. Appearance vs Quality January 28, 2017 I have worn these to a Muay Thai class 6 times for one hour each. They feel comfortable and wrap well. They have a great appearance and color. The Velcro seems cheap and the portion that is sewn to the velcro has started to fall apart (see pictures). I bave washed them by hand twice and have air dried them after each wash and each wear. I'll continue to wear them until they fall completely apart but I would have a hard time recommending them for someone else |
One Star Reviews: | 16% There are no reviews yet | 5% DO NOT THROW THESE IN THE WASH September 8, 2017 Do not buy these wraps. Sure, they work well but when you try to wash them, they will bleed dye and turn all your clothes blue. Velcro ripped off after first use April 22, 2017 Um... The Velcro on one of my wraps ripped off after the first use. WTF?? I wouldn't recommend this product. Now I have to either toss these or see the Velcro back on in order to use it They smelled like wet clothes that had been left in the washer ... March 4, 2017 These wraps are awful. The wraps I received smelled awful. They smelled like wet clothes that had been left in the washer far too long. I even hand washed them with laundry detergent and they still had a hint of the foul odor. These wraps are also super thin. The green look nice a bright online but in reality they were a darker forest green. I will not be reordering. Wraps smelled like they were sitting in a damp basement after a ... September 17, 2016 1 star for arriving on time. Thats about it. Wraps smelled like they were sitting in a damp basement after a flood and stale cigarettes. I'm NOT exaggerating AT ALL. Wrapped one hand right out the package, and my hand stunk like it too. Thew both of them in the wash in a wrap bag. COLOR BLED OUT INCREDIBLY into the water. turned into an old faded blue color- ordered "DARK BLUE." Took 2 washes before the stench was removed- even more color bled out. check the photo I uploaded- THATS the color after washing -vs- the dark blue image on amazon. Then air dried them. obviously they were very wrinkled so I set my iron on synthetics low and proceeded to flatten them back out while tugging along gently. First wrap I was straightening, snapped in half because the material/elastic came undone near the sewn edges. beyond annoyed! But that's a lesson that always seems to teach it self over and over: YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR- flimsy, thin, stingy hand wraps. I've owned other wraps from different companies, thought I'd save a penny or 2 with these cause of the reviews, but these wouldn't have lasted 2 full training sessions for someone serious about having a quality hand wrap. SAVE YOURSELF THE DISAPPOINTMENT, just spend the extra 3 or 4$ (literally) for a brand known to last a few months. BEWARE. No Give or Support, Design Fades August 6, 2016 First, these wraps have 0 give. Because they don't stretch at all, they come loose and unwrap easily if you're training with a partner and switching from gloves to focus mitts to thai pads, etc. Because of this, you have to wrap them exceptionally tight to get any kind of wrist support, but then you're cutting off your circulation. If you're buying these for the designs, they fade after one wash, even if you wash them in a wrap bag and hang dry them. I'll definitely stick with my Pro Impact wraps. BEWARE! These blue wraps will dye your hands bright ... December 15, 2014 BEWARE! These blue wraps will dye your hands bright blue! I followed the directions on hand washing in vinegar when I first opened them. I also put them through the wash on hot just in case, but I wore them once to boxing class and my hands turned BLUE. 5 days later…my hands still have traces of blue on them:( No problems with the purple color I also bought, so not sure what the issue is with this specific color. |
