Side by Side Comparison of: Sauder vs Ashley

Easy to assemble, box sturdy at delivery and the quality is fantastic for a lower price point coffee table. This adds a great look to my loving room while not being insanely expensive.

Put this in my mountain vacation rental cabin and it goes great with the rustic decor. It was on sale for just over hundred which I felt was a great value. Took 15 minutes to put together...relatively easy. Some other reviewers complained about it being lighter in color than the photos on here, but I found mine was spot on. The colors on the bottom slats were a bit much for me, but some of my guests have mentioned they thought it was great so no biggie. It seems very sturdy also.

Beautiful coffee table. It came in 6 pieces and was very easy to put together. The top is all solid wood, but I do believe the rest is engineered wood product. Looks very nice and classic in my living room.

I am so impressed with this coffee table! It is real wood which is amazing considering the price I paid. Everything else I saw at this price point was particle board or MFD with veneer. This is solid wood that is stained. I could smell the stain as soon as I opened the box. :) assembly was super easy. The top and bottom were all one piece. The only thing I had to do was attach the legs. It is very sturdy. As other reviewers have said, the bottom shelf is much brighter in color than the stock picture listed by the seller. However, I took this into consideration and love it. This table is well worth the price!

Item was delivered without damage and was super easy to assemble (can be assembled alone, no problem). It feels very sturdy and is practically identical to the photo provided by the seller. The bottom slats are a little brighter than expected, but not by much, and they add a nice pop of color to the space. Most importantly, I sent a picture of the finished piece to my mom and she has given her approval. Great buy!

The table is larger than expected and looks really nice. However, it had a really nasty scent when we initially opened the packaging and it was strong enough to stink up the whole living room. After a few days it dissipated though, but makes me wonder what kind of nasty chemicals were used in the production or packaging. But overall, we do like it, and it completes our set, so we're good.

Great table, easy to assemble. Has a little bit of mildew odor that I expect to fade with time. Replaced a $40 special from Walmart so much wider little higher, and quality wood vs the cheapo job I had. Very happy with this one.

I do enjoy the look of this table but honestly it is not worth the price. There's really nothing to it. But, with that being said, it takes all of 10 minutes to assemble even with no instructions.

Great for the value. easy to assemble and came on time. Color is nice but it will take days for the smell of the stain to fade away.

This is a great table, mostly solid wood and very well built. I like the size it has very good demensions. I will stick to ashley...

Sturdy, easy to assemble, but the colorations of the lower piece are much more defined than the image suggests. Some damage to a corner when I opened the box.

The product is beautiful. However, this is our replacement table and it had 2 scratches on it. We returned the first table because the box was torn on the side and the table was badly scratched on the corner. We didn't know this one was scratched until we opened it.

The photos by the seller are misleading. The slate colors are very vibrant and not a solid washed color as pictured. It appears like stripes in the roller, see images in other reviews. A more elegant finish would be to 'wash' the paint instead of using a pattern roller as they did. Disappointed...

The table is nicely made, but it is not as the product description explains. In the description it says and shows as one color (the dark wood), however, I received the table and the slats on the bottom are all different colors. Not my favorite, I was really disappointed as I love the style of the table. I wish the pictures or description were up to date and correctly explained the product.

ok, honestly i thought for the price it would be made better.

Everything was fine ... i have bought many furniture items from ashley before and have always been a happy customer .. however this time the coffee table i bought has a very noticable chip on the side .. i am reallllyyyyyy disappointed .. returning and replacing is a big hassel coz i live on the second floor so i chose to keep it but im very disappointed.. I was planning to but other mestler end tables from the set but now i dont knownwhat to do

It has terrible strong paint smell. Can't put inside of house. Put outside for 4 days already, but it still has same smell. It looks good that why it has 2 stars. Not recommended to buy it if you have old people or baby in the house.

Set up was easy, product came packaged well, but there were some scratches on the wood from it not being sanded down in production well enough. I also have way too easily created a couple scratches in the one month I've had it, so the wood is not top quality.

This item, as others have noted, is more colorful than the picture. That being said, I was open to it, and thought the design was fine. What I couldn't stand however, was the texture of the bottom planks. I've attached pictures. It might be depending on your luck, I just thought that too many of them had the same pattern and it was gaudy. I personally would not recommend this product. If you like the design, go for it.

On a side note, typically very pleased with amazon. I was shocked to see that the item sent to me (bought new) was actually repackaged and still had the return label from someone else who had bought and returned the item!

This should not be sold. Not only does it have a terrible chemical smell that gave us a two day headache but it is nothing like the picture.

THE SMELL IS SO STRONG. OMG.

The box was torn up and the table was completely cracked upon opening the box. Seems like it's cheap quality material to have completely cracked like it did in the box though. Also the bottom slats were completely warped.

The pictures are not an accurate representation of the true color of the table. Very different and very disappointed.

This table was a color mismatch to other pieces in the set. It was almost black. The top surace is a very highly textured woodgrain. I wiped it worth a damp paper towel and it shredded and stuck in the grain. I returned the table.

What i got is not what is pictured. It is not a rectangular coffee table, but more of a square large end table. The bottom level is colored as well. Will figure out something to do with it, but now must keep searching for a coffee table
