Excellent quality. Schlage makes great products
May 18, 2017
Excellent quality. Schlage makes great products, not just these keypad locks. We have many Schlage locks and haven't had any major issues with them. Only one thing we have noticed is that the trim plate on one of our keypad deadbolt locks is very weathered. No biggie...when it gets too bad, we'll clean it up & paint it. Otherwise the locks have been all working great!
Great Lock! I wish I would have purchased it earlier.

Very nice door knob. I love being able to close the door behind me and keep my kids out of my room. Easy access back into my room without having to fumble with keys. Since I've installed my towels last me a lot longer. Kids kept steeling them instead of doing their own laundry. Very easy to leave in the unlocked state for free passage without putting in code and with the flip of a lever it's locked again.
Great buy!!

Love this door-knob. So convenient since we don't have to have keys to get into the house and I can tell the code to people who need to enter instead of leaving a key in an "inconspicuous place" that I'm sure would be easily found by an intruder... Good quality as well!. Installation would have been a breeze if our old farmhouse door had a standard size door-knob hole, but of course it didn't, and of course the outer shell was metal so we had to figure out how to use a jig to cut the hole bigger for the knob. While my husband did have to help for that part, I would have been able to do it on my own otherwise. It was fairly easy and worth even the effort we did go through, which was not the fault of the product's at all.
Go Keyless.

Great lock. I specifically wanted this lock to keep the door that goes from my garage into my home secure. We have a two car garage but a four car family. It would be easy for someone to break into one of our outside cars to open our garage door and gain access to the garage and the house. I had a key lock for years, but since we use that door frequently we continually forget to lock it - which is not safe. Better safe than sorry, so I purchased the keypad lock with the knobs to match the Schlage hardware inside my home. The buttons are very easy to use and the programming was not difficult. The back light is perfect and clear. We have been keeping it in lock mode (horizontal position) and use the code to gain access, which is very easy, even when running out to the garage just to get tools or empty trash. I feel much more secure and never have to worry about a key.

These work well. I have had the deadbolt kind for several years. Now that I'm moving into a new house, I'm using these on some interior doors that lead to an unfinished area in order to keep my kids out. I like that I can quickly switch it to auto lock or stay unlocked if I'm planning to be in and out of the area several times in a short timespan. The deadbolt ones in this same style have worked flawlessly for years, so I have no doubts about the longevity of these, especially because I'm using these indoors. I recommend them if you need a door lock but don't want to carry around keys.
Installation was super easy with good instructions
August 30, 2015
Installation was super easy with good instructions....except for the last and what should have been the simplest part, putting on the door knobs. The knobs are 2 slightly different lengths, and there are no instructions about which one goes on which side of the door. I put the longer knob on the outside (with the keypad) and it installed pretty easily. If you do it the opposite way, with the longer knob on the inside, it was then very difficult to get the outside knob on. The inside knob installs easily, regardless of which one you use, but again, you need to put the longer knob on the outside or you'll have trouble. The instcutions say it can take like 45 mins to an hour to install, but it can be done in 10 minutes really.Super simple to program and add/delete user codes, and it seems solid and well built. Much more convenient than using a key. I put it on a vacant property that I have contractors working at, and it makes it easy to give them a code and then delete it when they are done with the project instead of giving them an actual key that they could copy and then have unlimited future access to my property. Also, I dont have to worry about them forgetting to lock the door when they leave, as it locks automatically after about 5 seconds, but is always unlocked from the inside .... so you simply enter your code to get inside the house and don't have to do anything else ... when you leave, you simply turn the door knob from the inside to open it and pull the door shut behind you. If you want, you can turn the locking button on the inside and leave the door permanently unlocked (so you can enter without a code)....I don't have any reason to use it this way, but for a party or something where guests are coming and going this may be useful.

Great product....I will purchase again if needed.
June 18, 2017
this is the best product for extra security. the push button feature on the knob eliminates the "problem with the handle" that all the other push button keyless entry door openers have. I have a boxed set of plantation shutters on the interior of my back door. NO OTHER product has a push button keyless entry door knob. ONLY handles. The interior handle would impede my pretty boxed shutters. This knob has worked so nicely. One aspect that could get improved is that it has a "puch one button" feature for entry as a passage door.....you know ,, like if youre haveing a party and peeps are going in and out of your door. They have to know to just press "a button" to enter each time....or you have to keep the door a jar a little bit. But thats so minute......it is a splended locking mechanism. A
Don't get locked out anymore
June 12, 2017
It has been more than a year now that I changed my old locks to these. They work perfectly. I had locked myself out too many time, so I tried schalage locks. They were expensive, and only lasted one year. These are much better. There is no price for not being locked out in Hit summer or freezing cold. I use these for rental property, so that I don't have to change the locks every time a tenant moves out.
High quality and useful
May 7, 2017
Very useful quick locking of doors. Young kids can barely turn the door knob in time, but that is okay. Every piece is of high quality. Yes, the batteries are very hard to put in. I fear that when I take them out, I will break the little holder. Other than that, the quality everywhere is high. The mechanism is very smooth. I have saved myself a lot of time from having to take my keys out to get inside the house and to lock my personal office and the door to the garage. Super useful. There is no forgetting to lock doors and having confidence that they are locked. Nothing else really out there.
Best investment ever
October 20, 2016
I purchased this product after frustrating attempts to keep my children from raiding my large kitchen pantry before meals! Best investment ever! It keeps the kids out but is easy for us to use. The code is easy to reset and the knob is easy to operate with one hand. Additionally, it is not too large or bulky on an interior door, which was a concern of mine when considering purchasing this product. My husband did have to disassemble it (slightly), to switch the bolt to the other side of the knob, because our pantry knob is on the left side of the door. He was able to do this without much difficulty and installed the knob with no problems. Excellent product, excellent price, would highly recommend.
it's nice to deal with companies who have great customer service
September 30, 2016
My wife purchased this item to install on our bedroom door because our daughter was constantly coming in to our room and taking my wife's make up and other items. I prepared the door for installation and during installation discovered that the kit was missing 2 of the screws that hold the inside battery cover on. I e-mailed the company and informed them of the missing screws and they immediately set out the replacements with both an e-mail apology and a written one with the screws! Boy, it's nice to deal with companies who have great customer service! I installed the new door knob and after a month I can definitely say that the unit works flawlessly! The set up appears well make and solid actually surprising me when I went to remove it from the package prior to installation, fits together well and looks attractive as well. I would highly recommend this to anyone who needs to control entry to a room INSIDE your home. It supports multiple entry codes, the buttons are illuminated in an attractive blue color light for in the dark entry, and it even has a back up battery pack you can plug in to the exterior knob in case you ignore the low battery warning and the batteries die, locking you out of the room (the batteries are housed under the knob inside the room, and thus are inaccessible if you allow the batteries to die without this emergency battery pack). I would highly recommend this to anyone needing to limit entry to a room in the house and the price is shocker once you handle the unit and see the build quality. I'm thinking of getting another for my man cave in the basement as well!!
The BEST idea EVER!
August 22, 2013
This product was one of the BEST purchases I have ever made for my new house. The Quality of this product is top-notch! It's made of a heavy duty sold metal VERY sturdy! The keys are composed of a heavy duty plastic with a very nice blue back-light.As far as how it performs:The unit is powered by 4-AAA batteries. I was a little bit worried about the batteries running out of power and being locked out of my house, however, the unit comes with an additional battery pack that you can hide outside of your house and if you ever do run out of power you can plug it into the knob and punch in your code and enter into your house. Now do not worry the knob will give you ample time to alert you to a low battery so you don't have to guess when to change the batteries. (They last for a VERY long time like 20,000 entries! I still have not changed my batteries since I bought this knob)This unit is capable of storing many different codes so if you have friends or family members you can issue them each their own codes! It also has the capability to audit! You can see what codes were entered in that way you know who has been in your house! I have not used this feature but it's a nice addition! The knob even has a anti-watch so u can enter in a false code to help hide your secret code if you have your friends with you and you don't want them to know your code. It sounds complicated but it's really not and the manual does a great job giving you an example on how to use this.I have to say this is the best thing ever! You never have to worry about locking your house again! Every time you put in your code the door unlocks for a few seconds and automatically re-locks so you don't have to worry about ever forgetting. It also has an option to keep it unlocked if you have guest or a party you can set it to remain unlocked.I have only one suggestion:When you install the battery pack I would put a small strip of tape around the battery doors. The doors slide into a locking position. We have a habit of slamming the front door closed and after months and months of this I thought the battery was dead but after using the power pack and getting into the house I discovered that when the door was slammed the battery door slide open a little and one of the batteries poped out of contact. I put a very small strip of tape to secure the door from moving at all and have never had any problems with this product!I waited a very long time to make this review as I like to make sure that the product lives up to my standards! This product is the BEST! If you want quality and security and to never have to worry about a house key again this product is for you!!!

Solid lock, easy installation
September 2, 2017
We bought this to replace a regular, plain old closet door knob so that we can store things out of sight and reach from our 10 year old son, and it's a very solid, easy to install replacement. So without any problems or rearrangement of holes in the door or jamb, we were able to go from an insecure walk-in closet to a much more secure walk-in closet to keep our guns and documents in. I'm not mechanically inclined at all, but I had this installed within a half an hour. It would have been quicker if the instructions were written a whole lot bigger.
I got these on pretty much every door in my house.
April 10, 2017
Easy to install and the battery lasts for more than 2 years. The only problem I have is that the deadbolt is pretty loud when the door shuts closed. The spring is too strong or something. I wish someone could tell me how to dampen the sound.
Well made and easy to install

Well made and easy to install. The "repackaged" version that I got didn't include the instructions but they are readily available online.
nice lock, LOUSY instructions
July 17, 2015
I purchased this lock for our door that exits to the garage, as a secondary security layer. I like that the lock can be set to open with or without using the code, and that it comes with keys in case of battery failure. The lock has been in place for less than a week and does operate smoothly and quietly. However, my complaint--as I told the manufacturer's rep on the phone--is that the poorly illustrated installation instructions are woefully incomplete, if not to say misleading. I ordered this lock with the standard knobs, not the levers. As another reviewer wrote in, but I did not see that review earlier, the knobs are not identical, although they seem to be at a glance. As I learned in speaking with the rep, one knob is longer than the other and must go on the exterior. Fine, not a big problem. But shouldn't that be at least mentioned in the instructions? (There is no mention whatsoever, much less an illustration, that knobs are an alternative to the levers.) Minor stuff and by itself not worthy of a review. I have some experience in carpentry, so installation should not have been a problem. However, the first problem was that the "hands-free post" did not, contrary to the instructions, hold the lock in place during installation. Per instructions, the post is to be threaded in or out. The illustration shows a philips-head screw-driver for that. Problem: a #2 screwdriver doesn't fit the post end to make any adjustment; maybe a jeweler's screwdriver would, but I used my fingers. No big deal. Next problem: The post is intended to merely engage 4 threaded plastic teeth; unfortunately one was broken, thus no holding power. Masking tape would have helped, but I managed without it. Those are minor objections, yes. Next problem, and this is my main objection, is that step #7, "Connect wire & battery" simply says "lock will beep when connected". Mine did not. Hmm, looking at the illustration, I had properly connected the wire to the provided battery but wait! There's an un-referenced, partly hidden module that has to be extracted and also connected, then re-fitted into its tight position. That was easy--not. But yes, when connected it did beep--very quietly. Step #10 describes installation of the levers, but not standard knobs and is thus useless information. How much time or thought went into writing, much less poorly illustrating such "instructions"? Meanwhile, the lock is on, works fine and looks ok. And the "user guide" does give adequate instructions for changing the default codes--but I had the rep walk me thru it, after she informed me about the knobs.
Very nice looking - a pain to install.
May 3, 2015
I just finished installing it so can't say how it will hold up to New England weather yet. They are a good looking set and was 'fairly' easy to install.I must say that the directions and illustrations are the worst I've seen with any product I've bought from amazon. Also there is no warning given up front before you start putting it together that there are code numbers inside the outside door plate that you need later on in the process - luckily there was a second sticker with them on the front of the booklet that comes with it.There was no 'pin wrench' though it showed it on the parts list, and as it turned out I did need it to remove the inside knob to switch it to the outside. (A large opened paper clip worked). When you put the knobs on the one with the longer shaft goes on the outside or it doesn't lock on securely. None of the directions showed the 'knob' lockset just the ones with the long lever handle. When entering the codes the directions tell about the number of beeps and different colored flashes. Mine does not beep but does color flash so it's no big deal. (you are also supposed to hear a beep when connecting the battery which it didn't but the keyboard did light so I figured it should be ok)I was getting sick of changing locks so often with 'guests' coming and going so even though it's an expensive lock I'm hoping it's the last I'll have to put on the front door. And it makes my Sister feel better that she can get in to check on me if necessary without worrying about having a key with her.Update 8/16/15I must say I've grown to love this purchase. It does take awhile to get used to going out with no key but now it's second nature. So far there's been no problems with the mechanics. It is actually faster using the 4 number combination than using a key, especially in the dark.

August 21, 2014
I have a few of the deadbolt only versions of these and they are great. This went into in a door with no deadbolt. Same great lock but there was one thing that prevents me from giving 5 stars. I installed everything fine except when it came to the knobs. The knob slides over a shaft that has a small rectangular catch that grabs the knob shaft. The interior part of the door was easy but the exterior knob has a small collar that the knob goes into. The collar has a small pinhole which I did not see until later, that you push a small tool through to engage the knob. I did not see this in the instructions since they were generic and only showed a lever type. The pinhole tool was no included so I did not think this unit had a hat feature. I ended using a small drill bit as a tool and got it to work.

Not bad for the price. Made me keyless finally.
July 11, 2017
Install was not that hard once you follow the direction and know how to replace a door lock at home or office. Reason why I gave 4 stars only is because of the limitted pass codes that can be given. For example, if you have 2 boys with birthday of 960111 and 980302, you can not have both of above 2 number combies. That is because you are supposed to have only 1 pass code starting with 9. That happens to all the other numbers too. Other than that all look ok. And do not know how long the batteries will last, yet.
perfect for outbuildings
June 5, 2017
Been using this for about 3 months now and it is a HUGE improvement over a keyed lock for an outbuilding. No more wondering if your shed/studio is locked or not and no more looking for a key.The lock is solid, opens smoothly, and the buttons are responsive. I am giving it 4 stars over 5 because I have noticed that it won't accept the code maybe 1/20 times lately. I just punch it in a bit firmer, and it works the second time every time. I will update if the behavior gets worse.
Does its job nicely
May 5, 2016
Works nicely on our master bedroom door to keep the kids out. Only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the beeping sound is annoying, and not necessary for home use. There have been times we put our friends baby down in a pack and play in our room, and shut the door to keep the noise of us adults out, but to check on him means beeping noises that could disturb him. We have been using this regularly for about 8 months and have yet to replace the batteries. It does come with a battery pack and cord that you can hook into the lock side of the knob in case the batteries in the knob itself go dead, so that is a nice safety feature. Just make sure to store that portion outside the room you are locking, and have the proper size batteries for it on hand. This is a thrifty alternative to the name brand keyless locks at the local home improvement stores.
Effective and full-featured lock
September 1, 2015
I have 4 of these locks. One had an issue with a loose wire inside but I was able to resolder it and it works fine now. For the money these are excellent locks. Easy to use, easy to install, reliable (aside from that loose wire), and a great value. I do wish it was a deadbolt rather than a slanted bolt (you can pop my doors open pretty easily with a credit card unfortunately), but that would limit your ability to close the door easily (you'd have to disarm it to twist the knob to close it...which I can understand some people wouldn't want that trade-off). I especially like the feature that lets you input a fake code if someone is watching you...you enter the first digit, then a bunch of random digits to your heart's content, then end with the correct sequence and it will open. So you can make it appear that you have some insane 20-digit code if you want. Nice to be able to program multiple users as well. In general, for the money, a great lock.
Excellent Lock
February 20, 2015
After having a roommate move out and not return my house key in a timely manner I bought this lock (at a much higher price) nearly 3 yrs ago now and it's still in great condition and on the SAME batteries it came with!...It was easy to install too. All you need is a screwdriver (unless you have a brand new door with no holes)...The only (minor) drawback(s) that I had with it was that it only came in chrome (silver) at the time and I have gold plating on my door so it looks out of place but I don't mind it too much since it still works as it should...The other thing is that after 2 years of solid use the handle started loosening at the base (possibly because i really didn't tighten the screws that much to begin with in order to have quicker access to the battery.) I just opened and tighten them up again, no problem...I haven't experienced any problems with weather like others claim since i live in Los Angeles and it rarely drops below 60 degrees here.I would put a keyless lock on my front door if I ever move again. No more wondering, "did I lock my door?" as you run out of your house in a hurry. You can't beat the convenience of guests coming into town and not have to make a key for them. They don't even have to wait for you to get home, just call them up and give them a code to let themselves in. When they're gone, just delete the code. Or you could be stuck at work and forgot something at home, you can just call a friend to get what you need with a simple code. The codes can be as little as 3 digits or more. I would easily give this 5 stars if it had other color options. At the current price I would give it 4 1/2 stars if I could.
Installation was pretty easy, good directions
January 9, 2015
We've had an extra key by a garage door for years, finally decided to put in a keyless doorknob. Installation was pretty easy, good directions. Only problem was had to replace strike plate on door frame for a smooth closing. It's a little bigger, so it required some chiseling, but glad I did. Closes solid-the thing has some weight to it, seems like it is made with some quality. Doesn't really matter, but comes in a very nice packed box, each part wrapped and packaged individually. Only gives you three seconds to get in the door, we'll get used to that I suppose. I would definitely buy again-hopefully this unit will stand the test of time. Great deal for the price.UPDATE 9/2017 Changed batteries for the first time, long lasting to say the least. Codes stayed intact during and after battery change, nice!

Great solution for a detached garage but won't last long.
March 19, 2017
Great solution for a detached garage! No need to carry a key, no need to wonder if the garage is unlocked. Have had this installed and in use for a year. Still looks new and works great! Original battery still going strong. Press top button for light up of panel at night a nice feature. Very happy with this purchaseUPDATE: 9/28/17 - Well....Just knocked this down a couple of stars. Starting to see some cracks in the number buttons. Less than 2 years old. This is very disappointing since I really liked the lock. I give it the OK rating because "I don't like it" and "I hate it" doesn't reflect my thoughts. No doubt, I will eventually be replacing this. I see a new Smartthings lock in my future by a different manufacturer.

May not fit some doors with large rectangular windows due to the extra height above the knob.
Very easy to install and works great
December 20, 2016
Very easy to install and works great. Outer covering of one of the buttons flaked off after about 30 days otherwise I'd give 5 stars.
Incorrect installation instructions provided.
April 27, 2016
the instructions included are NOT for this handle. They were for the NO HANDS handle. Because of this there was no mention of a tiny obscure screw which had to be screwed out to hold plate in place. There was no info on how to put the knobs on. I figured it out, but what would have been a quick install was lengthened because of the problem solving I had to do. UNFORGIVABLE misuse of my time.
Good design even though too bulky

Average. Good design even though too bulky.Very poorly documented. You can really rely on it to install. I won't recommend it for the average self installer. What you get is not always what's promised.

Not for the fat fingered.
August 8, 2017
I have a large hand for a lady with wide fingers and longish finger nails. So, it doesn't work for me with the buttons so small and jammed together in a small space. I had to return it.
Awesome until......
August 20, 2016
The doorknob was awesome until it started not to work. Batteries are new, keypad lights, it beeps but it won't open. After opening it, I reattached the internal wires. It worked perfectly for about two days but started acting up again. I assume the pressure from the internal wires are causing it somehow partially disconnect. Not sure how to resolve this nuisance but if the seller can please suggest something, it would be greatly appreciated.Could have easily been 5 until the prior started to happen.
Not for frequently used doors.
February 3, 2016
So I thought this would be good to use in a house with roommates who Netflix and Chill with Tinder dates. Within about an hour it became apparent this would not work well for a door that is frequently used. First, there is no way to turn it on and off so to speak. You have to use the code to get in EVERY TIME. As well, it beeps when you use it and the beeping is extremely loud. No where on the website or in the instructions did I find a way to turn off the beeping. Lastly, it does not come with the required 4 AAA batteries (8 if you also want to have the charging pack handy). Had such high hopes for this knob because its actually kind cool looking, but instead it is costing me $8 to return it. I will add that it was pretty easy to install and adding different codes is fairly easy as well.
Cannot change keycodes once programmed
December 11, 2015
One cannot change the password following the instructions. I bought this for an entrance to a b&b suite we have thinking it a good idea toprovide each guest with their own code but it seems that I am stuck with the original code I programmed in which really defeats the whole purpose! Most door locks are about waist height which results in having to bend down to see the numbers, pity they could not have been slightly angled.Other than that, it works and seems to be well made. However I wish I had found out about it's major flaw during the return period. I know, I should have tested all the features up front so my fault.
Good for low traffic only. Not commercial grade.
July 19, 2014
I bought a bunch of these for my home and office. They knobs are easy to install and easy to setup. At my house they seem to be great because they aren't used quite as heavily as in the office. But in the office where there is a lot of traffic in and out of the rooms one of the knobs broke. There are three pins inside the door that engage the lock once the code is entered. One of the pins broke off. Luckily we were able to get the knob to engage enough to let us in the room to replace it. Had it not opened we would have had some serious issues. So I think this is a good product for low traffic doors but broke in less than a year in a high traffic scenario.
it's a lovely lock, BUT
December 15, 2013
Very heavy duty and was incredibly easy to install. However for some reason even after switching batteries, I can't get the coding to work unless I plug in the emergency battery pack. I just emailed the seller to see if there was a way to resolve this because the batteries that's in the back of the lock does work, but I can only put in or change codes if the pack if plugged up. *weird*I also never saw in the manual that a battery pack existed. And also had to guess where the hole was to plug it in to the lock because I did not see it outlined in the manual.I also don't like that this lock is ALWAYS locked. If you are installing this yourself you stand the chance of not being able to get in your space because once you pull that door in it's a wrap! the person that installed this has already gone. Now being in the space on my own I can't test out my new master code because I stand the chance of locking myself out. With that said you won't need another lock on your door if you have this one.

Lock Good, Installation Hell.
April 18, 2017
Long Lasting, AWFUL Installation.Schlage, I'm done. I've installed at least 8 of these locks, and even with experience, It still takes me way too long, is fiddly and temperamental, and the instructions are crap. Nope. Moving on. Once in, the locks work well, but the fact that the company hasn't bothered to design a better installation experience is not a good sign. there has got to be a better way.PLUS the fact that it's the electronics that eventually crap out, leaving a perfectly good brass body, but Schlage won't sell you just the electronic piece, so you have to throw the whole thing in the trash when one part of it breaks.

Works well... For a few months DO NOT USE THIS LOCK FOR MISSION CRITICAL ENTRYWAYS
August 21, 2017
Works well... For a few months.I purchased this lock in 2015. Finally got around to installing it for access to our laundry room last year. The product worked as advertised and was great for about 8-9 months. Then the unit completely malfunctioned and would not accept any inputs even though it was fully powered. The blue backlight was on but the passcode would not work and I was the only one with the master. I gave my tenants secondary access codes so they would not be able to reset the lock. I ended up having to saw through my door to regain access to the laundry room.DO NOT USE THIS LOCK FOR MISSION CRITICAL ENTRYWAYS. Or at least have a secondary point of access
10 year old child can open this!
July 27, 2017
It works as advertised. At least the keypad mechanism. Now when it comes to actually keeping my office door locked...that's a different story. My 10 year old boy kept entering my office. I changed my code, removed all sub codes, etc. to no avail. Until one day I discovered that he uses a credit card to get in. How? He simply slides it between the door jamb and the latch simply pushes in the latch, thereby opening the door!A clever kid or a poor design? I suppose a piano wire would work just as well.
Maybe-------

Husband said it was easy to install. I tried to use it today and found the keypad is really tiny and hard to see and use. You have to bend down to see it and hope your fingers aren't to big to put in the right code. The knob has to be sort of bulky for all the important stuff to be in it so you kind of have to do the finger pinch to turn it. Getting your hand around it is really tight. It seems to be a nice heavy quality and the finish on it is great. I really think I might have returned it but my husband gets things done. Well, usually.
Probably OK indoors, definitely not for outdoors
August 11, 2016
Seems to be of solid quality but oddly designed and failed relatively quickly. Screws must pass through the interior side of the knob, meaning there are two open holes in the battery compartment. Battery compartment must be completely removed to change batteries, and is extremely awkward to refit around the connector cable. The latching mechanism on mine failed after 9 months, went through troubleshooting and battery changes to no avail. It worked well up until that point. This thing is 100% NOT waterproof so not suitable for outdoor use, which is probably why mine failed.
cold weather :(
December 10, 2015
When it's warm, this door knob/lock is flawless, easy to use. However, when it starts getting cold outside, you'll find yourself locked out. Great if you live in Florida or SoCal, but if you live in Southern Colorado, you're screwed in winter.
Beeping sound dead
May 17, 2015
Mine is about a year old, it's on my garage door, still opens, but the sound for the beeps is almost gone.looking into better stronger digital locks that hold up over time. I live in Iowa, so our winters are pretty roughsometimes. good luck on what you decide.

Terrible
June 9, 2017
Awful, returned it. Terrible instructions. Called customer support and they said it might be defective because it was set up exactly like they said it should be. Worked on it forever. Went out and bought a different schlage and installed it in 10 minutes with no issues.
Parts and instructions missing
April 6, 2017
This shipped with missing parts and assembly instructions for the 'lever handle' version of the product.I can't actually attach the door handle, which makes the lock less than useful.
Surprisingly......disappointed.
February 25, 2017
After reading all of the positive reviews, I purchased this product. Received and returned it the same day. Instructions included were for the latch version. I know it should be pretty much the same. Tried installing the door knob; should be easy enough but the latch would not click and hold the knob. Maybe I was doing it incorrectly but if instructions were included I could have figured it out. Battery wire frayed. Post that turns the knob was extremely loose and would not turn the knob. I guess not every Amazon product is great. This was my first disappointment from Amazon.
Can't reccomend.

Stopped working after 4 months of regular use. Changed the battery, still not working.
Keypad No Longer Works in less than 2 Years!
June 9, 2016
I wanted to give this item a 5 star review, but it's dead - no longer works! I paid $111 for this product! That's a lot of money to spend on a lock only to have it no longer work in less than 2 years of being installed! My husband changed the battery twice just to make sure it wasn't the battery. When he put the battery in, you could hear sounds from it that indicated the battery was good, but the keypad no longer works. I'd say look at another brand, maybe it will work better than this one.
Stopped working. Very disappointed.

This lock stopped working after being installed for less than a month. Very disappointed. I'll be contacting the seller in hopes that they make it right and send a replacement.

Sticky knob a bit tough to turn
May 30, 2015
We had been using another brand/style keyless lock but we wanted to have multiple entry codes so we ordered this one. Unfortunately it is really hard to turn the handle after you've engaged the keypad. Not sure if that's due to my somewhat older pre-arthritic hands (though the young lasses in my building say they have a hard time, too) of if it is the design.Regardless, I'd recommend that if you can use the other side with the long push down handle, its a better option.
Will look for a different keyless door knob.
March 31, 2015
Worked for two days. Then it would beep like it was supposed to after code entry, however turning the knob didn't operate the latch.
Don't buy locks without a keyed backup.
January 12, 2015
Lock worked for three days. Suddenly it wouldn't engage. I tried everything, using the battery pack and the master code. Fresh batteries, no idea what's wrong with it. Had to tear up my door frame to get the lock off. So thanks for that. I was very disappointed because of all the positive reviews on here. I have several keypad and biometric locks in my home, this is the first I've had an issue with.
It worked great for a year
January 4, 2015
It worked great for a year.Once it started to stop working, I changed batteries and NADA!No website with reset info. Manual doesn't help much and no easy customer service. After 2 days without door lock, it was easier to buy another model. No time to fight for 60 bucks.... Tks, not buying again.
Wonderful lock features and easy to use.

HOWEVER, they are for indoor use only!!!I purchased 3 of these locks 3 months ago.The two outside locks are exposed to rain and soon snow. HOWEVER THEY ARE BOTH SEVERELY PITTED DUE TO CORROSION.See attached picture.UPDATEI coated the replacement locks with 3 coats of clear spray lacquer and after they were dry with silicone. They are holding up pretty good so far (October 18, 2015). I have put a picture up of one of the locks that were lacquered 3x.To the manufacturer: Would it be possible for you to introduce a corrosion protected option or version of this lock?It is a great lock.PS I can highly recommend this lock for internal use or when mounted outside under cover.
