Five Star Reviews: | 15% Fun Fun Fun March 20, 2017 Cute little gadget that has already provided hours of fun for us and our dog. He loves to chase a light, any light. This doesn't hurt his eyes and is easy to see on the ground or on the building after dark. Battery does wear down a bit fast but recharges itself quickly. Only problem is our Lab doesn't want to stop playing and then is so wound up for the night he doesn't want to go to bed. kitties love it. March 20, 2017 kitties love it...the young ones. the old girl gives us a look like, "Really? do you think I'm stupid. That's not a 'thing', that's light.....".....as if light is not a thing! what does SHE know Keeps you and your kitten entertained January 4, 2017 This is so much fun to keep your kitten entertained and exercised. I feel bad that he never actually "catches" anything; but I don't think he is aware of that. My kitty loves this! It does come with extra ... December 9, 2016 My kitty loves this! It does come with extra batteries but if you use it longer than 20 minutes then batteries give out and you have to let it "rest" for it to work again. Fun & paw-shaped January 25, 2016 The light is shaped like a paw print and covers a fairly large area, unlike traditional small beam LED pointers. My cats still enjoy it just as much as the other traditional one I have. | 31% Neat little gadget, my daughter is in nursing school ... September 16, 2015 Neat little gadget, my daughter is in nursing school and had to have a Pen Light for her clinical's, I ordered two because the price was right and so was the quality! Five Stars April 13, 2015 Great product, perfect description, wish they would have told me batteries not included but no big deal. Five Stars February 10, 2015 Bright and no more battery drain from accidentally pushing on the pen clip! good August 28, 2013 the item has a good quality, its just what i want, very fast shipping and for that i give 5 stars to the item |
Four Star Reviews: | 4% My only complaint is that when the cats paw the ... February 4, 2017 My only complaint is that when the cats paw the light creates is moved over a distance it becomes faint, making it hard for my kitty to see. Four Stars November 13, 2016 The laser point is a paw print, and much larger than expected. Unfortunately didn't meet my needs. Network cables October 3, 2016 I had a few network cables but were not long enough. The two I received were just right length. I would buy again from you My cats really enjoy this! The paw-print shape of the laser is ... January 10, 2016 My cats really enjoy this! The paw-print shape of the laser is really cute and different. The only thing preventing me from giving it a 5-star review is because it's not very bright if you're trying to shine it far away from you, and it's hard to see. It's not really a problem, I just run along with the laser in order to give the cats some good exercise. My girl cat chatters and goes nuts for this thing. | 5% lightbulb February 25, 2013 This pen light arrived as advertised and on time. It is a nice penlight but unfortunately the bulb burnt out the first time I used it. It is not easy to find a replacement bulb at the local hardware store since everyone carries the LED bulbs now instead of the incandescent bulb that is required for this instrument. yes September 1, 2012 Exactly what i ordered and received in a timely manner. I would recommend this product to anyone in the medical field. Nice having a product that actually works. |
Three Star Reviews: | 11% "Meh!" said the Cat. July 12, 2017 My cat got bored with it. She was entertained for a while, but when she saw that my hand was creating the red dots, she lost interest. The dots are not all that bright, anyway, and don't travel far. She is really a smart one, better with hiding and chasing toys anyway. Not a laser pointer June 15, 2017 It is made well but there is no point. It has some type of decal over the lens so you see a cute cat paw, when turned on , BUT the paw is so big my cat can't figure out where it is. His last laser pointer made a dot to chase, so now he just stares at my hand waiting for me to make it work like he wants . Not a good cat toy but the kids think the cat paw on the wall is funny. An okay Laser Pointer-not really effective. August 10, 2016 I purchased the Love "N" Creatures Interactive LED Pointer Cat toy because I needed a replacement for the kitty’s laser pointer that broke. I only used this laser pointer a few times because of how faded and low the light beam was. This really was not an effective toy for the kittens. A cheaper Laser pointer at the Grocery store would most likely be better. After about a month I had to purchase a new laser pointer online to get the (play time) joy done. I would not purchase this product again because of how ineffective it was but the idea is cute and if the laser was made better, it would make for a better toy. Batteries need not be included April 19, 2016 My cats do indeed, love this silly thing. I bought it in Dec 2015. It is now April 2016. Extra batteries were included in the package. When I got them out, each one was as wide as the unit and as thick as two of the other batteries together. Obviously the wrong ones. Also, the button is hard to keep pressed down for any length of time. Or maybe my finger is too fat to hold it down correctly, or comfortably. it's fine. The cats have fun with it and that's ... January 2, 2016 This product is exactly what it represents itself to be. It's NOT a laser pointer. It's a bright LED with a lens that projects a pawprint onto whatever you aim it toward. Closeby the paw is small and bright, and far away it's dimmer and large. In close proximity, it's fine. The cats have fun with it and that's about all you can ask for. My only complaint is that the batteries it comes with are the cheapest you can get and they run down quickly. If you intend to use this for rigorous, frequent exercise, you'll want to look for one of those replacement packs of 100 of these tiny batteries for about $9. The toy requires 3 at a time and they run down fast. It is what it is. Not bad, and not a bad price. | 10% Not a laser pen November 28, 2015 I thought I was ordering a laser light pen and this is just a penlight. My mistake. I'll keep it in the car, maybe I'll need it someday. quality April 21, 2013 Hi- I was looking for a sturdy good quality penlight. Although it is sturdy and the quality of it is better than most others that I have had before it is not the best. Sometimes when I go to light it for some reason it doesn't light and I have to shake it to get it to light. Not sure why. penlight September 11, 2012 I like the penlight but the light beams off crooked. Ive already gone through 2 sets of batteries. Also the light is a normal yellow light. I was expecting an LED white light. |
Two Star Reviews: | 17% NOT A LAZER! I wish I had read the description better. March 1, 2017 This is NOT a lazed, it's a tiny, red flashlight. If you keep your cat nearby, the 6" red paw will interest her, but if you point it farther away, it becomes indistinct, pale, and huge. This was a waste of money. First off, my cat loves this toy. However ... January 5, 2017 First off, my cat loves this toy. However, I've had quite a few problems with it in the few days I've had it. Number one, the "paw" shaped laser means that the shape distorts at a long distance, and is very hard to see. Therefore you have to shine is very close to you, which kind of ruins the mystery for the cat. Additionally, the interior of the laser is very cheaply made, and frequently you have to shake it a few times for it to light up (the batteries move around internally). And the cap is prone to coming off. I didn't have huge expectations for a cat laser, but the biggest two are that it works, and that is stays together- this does neither reliably. I was stupid and didn't realize the actual pointer shot out an ... December 3, 2016 Its an ok product. I was stupid and didn't realize the actual pointer shot out an imaged of a "paw." which would be ok except that the paw got larger the further away you pointed it, so if you are using it to play with your cats, the image gets so large that they get confused (my cats are stupid) or lose interested. I bought a laser pointer from the 99 cent store that had just a regular "dot" that the imaged didn't really get distorted, and have defiantly noticed that my cats prefer the "dot" over the "paw" image. He always enjoyed the "dot" as we called the laser pointer December 23, 2015 This wasn't exactly what I was expecting at all. I have two cats, and I got this mainly because my previous laser pointer died, and the larger of my two cats needs to lose a little weight. He always enjoyed the "dot" as we called the laser pointer. He didn't even like this one. In fact, he ran away in terror when I attempted to get him to play with it. His brother seemed to like it, but he is more playful. Not long after I got this, I started cat sitting for a family friend, and took this over just to see if that cat would like it. And she didn't seem interested in it at all, and she is also a very playful cat. Needless to say, I was not that impressed with this at all. There's better ones out there. September 21, 2015 The laser wasn't working right out of the package. It was flickering a lot and eventually died within a matter of minutes. But for the minute it was working, my dogs were entertained. | 8% It's OK March 1, 2013 Not the best quality. Mine is already falling apart and I've barely used it. When I can get the thing to turn on the light goes in and out. I've tried switching batteries several times and it still does not function. I'm spending the extra cash and getting one that will last. you are getting what you pay for February 13, 2013 The short and skinny of it all, you are getting what you are paying for. Its not the top of the line, it is just "something that works." It is cheap metal, cheap bulb, and cheap plastic mechanism. Hindsight being 20-20, I probably wouldve been happier with the disposable pack of 8 penlights for 6 bucks instead of this reusable penlight. But now that it is here and in my hands its not worth sending back so I will use it until it breaks. IF it breaks within the next six months i will feel stupid for buying it, if it lasts longer I will be happy i made the purchase. THATS THE KEY SENTENCE RIGHT THERE. On top of all of it, the package it came in was just a normal amazon box with no padding inside; just the case for the pen (another cheap plastic POS) and the pen itself. In which the case popped open in the mail (hopefully in the mail and not just tossed in) and when i picked it up off my door step it sounded like a broken toy inside the box. Totally disapointed with presentation more so than product, but neither made me happy. |
One Star Reviews: | 53% Not what I thought. I should read more ... November 3, 2016 Well it was not what I thought. I have a led pointer thing that is a little red dot. Kitten likes to chase it. Likes is not the right word. She is addicted to chasing it for about 3 minutes, then she don't care a bit. So, I thought this would be like that; but, NO! This one is a big paw print, that has no interest for her at all. I am experimenting with some kind of hack to make it acceptable. I should return it, that would be a smart thing ... Not good for playing with my kitty January 5, 2016 This is a very low quality light pointer. It can only be used holding it about two to three feet from whichever surface I want to point it at. Any further away the light area grows too large for my cat to notice...not like the typical speck of bright light they like to chase. Hashtagcrap December 17, 2015 I would prefer to give this a zero. One it didn't even come on a package just a laser light thrown in a box. Two it's a huge paw print from two feet away Larger than my cat . Not a small little red dot. A huge paw ! Solid crap this product is. Picture is from 3 feet away. The sign above it is 3 feet in diameter This thing is HORRIBLE!! November 1, 2015 Laser pointer? Puh-lease! This thing is HORRIBLE!!! It's not the tiny red dot my cats love to chase, it's a HUGE red paw print my cats couldn't care less about. The paw is seriously bigger than my cats when I shine it on the wall from the couch. And it's completely invisible on our black rug! It was a total waste of money and too cheap to bother returning. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT!! For the price of this I am extremely disappointed, as is my cat September 28, 2015 I have one cat that loves these laser pointers. I lost my other one so decided to buy her a new one. I clicked it, and she came running. Problem is she was looking for the red laser beam on the floor. Now if you do if close to the floor, you will see a red paw, but the further away, the paw gets bigger and it is not anything that my cat will chase. For the price of this I am extremely disappointed, as is my cat. She keeps waiting for the clik again so she can chase the laser, but there is nothing to chase. For $10.00 it was also cheaply made. It could have had interchangeable parts for that price to give you something the cat will chase. I don't usually give bad reviews, but I think this was the worst. The back that held the batteries did not even screw in. It was a cheap metal. Everything about this was cheap. | 46% Meh June 17, 2016 Bought for my EMT class. Bulb fell out the day I took it out of its case. Talk about embarrassing. The product was used, or very badly managed. ... October 7, 2015 The product was used, or very badly managed. The case was scratched and cracked and the pen had finger prints all over it. It was obvious that this was not a new item, and when I put in batteries, it turned on once and then stopped. Disappointed March 24, 2015 It was nice until it was dropped on the floor once and now doesn't work at all. I thought that since it's a product used in the medical field it would at least be able to withstand one drop. Accidents happen and this isn't built for that. Poor quality October 17, 2012 I used this light about 10 times. It seemed like it had a short in it. I had to click it on and off to get the light to come on. Half the time it was very dim. The cap wouldn't tighten and finally it flew off and was lost. The light is worthless now. I wouldn't pay $1 for this light. Horrible September 11, 2012 So I bought this a graduation gift to myself. On the first day I used it the pen top busted off and kept doing so throughout the day. It is a great concept, but just doesn't work. The flaw is the screw on top to hold the batteries in. It doesn't even make a full revolution, thus allowing moderated force from being in your pocket or from normal use to cause it to slip off. There is about a 1cm range when you screw it on for it to work. Too tight and it just slips off and you have to tighten it again. Too loose and the light won't turn on. Get it just right and you might have a functional pen for a couple of tries. Also the light doesn't shine straight, it bends at about a 25 degree angle. That could be a good or bad thing depending on preference. It is the most expensive pen light I bought and by far the most useless. I have to give them credit because it looks great and comes presented a this fancy case. Yet, I already own one for $8 and it is far superior. I request a return from the Prime Medical Store and they complied. They just wanted me to pay return packaging/shipping (which is half the cost of the pen). However, they were kind enough to waive the 20% restocking fee. Needless to say the most economical route is to superglue the top on, use it until the batteries die, and cut my losses. I just bought a $16 disposable pen light! In summation: Great idea, but a huge flaw in the design. Do not waste your money unless you absolutely want a stainless steel pen with pupil gauge, have superglue, and are ok with a $16 disposable pen light. There are way better selections for half the price. Buy a pen light for $8 and get an ID badge pupil gauge card. |
