Price point great for what is provided
May 28, 2017
Price point great for what is provided. Quality is good. Haven't need a framers belt in years. Like the shoulder harness takes most of the weight of the belt. Definitely lot of pockets for tools.
this is a product that will hold up for a long time

great product and well worth the money.. well made with heavy stitching and heavy nylon straps. great fit for a small or large person. have seen very similar products at over twice the price and not made nearly as well
great

seems to be great quality. i really needed a belt over the shoulders, as ones ive used over the years are on my hips, at that bothers my back now...
Good product!

Great belt for those needing space and convenience. Comfortable for a big and tall man
Would definitly recommend
February 8, 2017
Fantastic product. Belt is long and has plenty of notches to fit a range of people, I'm a 32 and I could make it much tighter. Suspenders fit nice, easy to adjust, but the shoulder straps need to be able to fit over the adjuster for shorter people. Mine lay barely on my shoulders, almost on my back. But the pouches are fairly light, belt fits well, and the suspenders are still comfortable and take the weight right off. 9/10.

... of this belt and I cannot think of more good things to say about it
July 21, 2017
I got the smaller version of this belt and I cannot think of more good things to say about it. I am a welder and have been wearing it for 12 hours a day, five days a week for the past nearly 12 months, if you wish for a stress test of this product look no further, I must say i expected it to break well over six months ago but it is thoroughly worn through in parts of the stitching and parts of the webbing have melted due to contact with extremely hot metal, but it has yet to break. I carry everything i need right on my side and it stays comfortable, I stopped noticing it there after the first couple days of use. If you have a job that involved multiple tools, BUY IT. I'll probably invest in another here soon at some point, but it made my job 100x easier by not having to hunt for tools that I set down somewhere. Probably the most useful thing for $12 I have ever bought. Period.
Excellent value. Very happy with this.
July 11, 2017
I'm sure this isn't the world's best tool belt, but it also costs less than $15! I bought one for myself and liked it so much I bought one for members of our volunteer crew who build wheelchair ramps. I just reordered more. Everyone really likes them. The belt is very sturdy and adjustable, and the pouch is versatile and useful with the three pockets and holders for pencils or whatever. If you want more space, you can buy another pouch without the belt and simply add it on to this on the other side. I don't see how anyone can go wrong, whether this is your first tool belt or you're giving it as a gift. If you're a professional trades person, I suppose you'll want to spend more on something fancier with more pockets and such, but for a weekend warrior who doesn't want to spend a lot but still get a very useful belt, this is awesome. If I didn't think so, I wouldn't have bought 10 of them so far!

September 11, 2016
I've been using this for work, and around-the-home jobs carrying just a handful of tools and a measuring tape. I'm not a contractor nor do I do construction, but it holds a phone, pens, moisture meter, flashlights, box cutter, and camera with room to spare. After a couple months of use including putting it on and off several times a day, it still looks brand new. CLC has been around for decades and a trusted name in contractors. The 2-inch nylon weave belt feels really sturdy, several contractors I know still have their original belt from 20 years ago. I bought this before knowing just how durable these pouches are; but their reports and build quality make me feel confident this bag will last a lifetime. The only downside to this is when I crouch or bend over, my belt buckle for my jeans (in conjunction with my belly) can sometimes cause the tool belt clip to come undone. Easy enough fix is to just offset the toolbelt clip away from my gig-line. Not really a downside, just a reminder I need to lose some belly. This belt is PERFECT for the home-diy guy, or someone that uses a small tool pouch daily for serious construction work.
Simple and Handy
July 3, 2013
It's a well-made pouch and the belt that comes with it is robust. The tool pouch will hold a handful of basic tools, such as a reversible screwdriver, a utility knife, and a pair of cutters, and the nail pouch is big enough to hold quite a few nails (I put 16d on one side and 8d on the other). The only glitch is that the hammer loop is too small for a typical framing hammer, although it fits a finish hammer just fine. This simply means getting the separate hammer loop that CLC makes (and Amazon sells), which has a spacious metal loop that easily fits even a massive hammer. The measuring-tape strap works fine (as seen in the photo).
A good buy for the price
April 1, 2013
I was always putting down things anywhere and forgetting where. This little tool holder made out of leather solved my problem. I didn't want a full blown tool belt that was heavy. I just wanted a smaller one where I could carry my tape measure, pencils, screw drivers and a few other most useable tools. Not too expensive and it worked for me.

Built for big guys. Great quality.
September 11, 2017
At maximum shortest adjustment still need to modify shoulder straps as this is built for a bigger, fatter guy than me - but with very loose belt, I'm able to get that weight off my hips - which was the point. I'm about 190/5'10" this is just too big as it ships.

Received this today and the pocket where the chalkline goes is ripped open so basically it's not a pocket, just a side flap. Check picture.
Nice tool bag, Comfortable
April 7, 2017
So far so good. Lot's of pocket space, possibly even too much. My only complaint is one of the rivets around the holes in the belt came off in the first couple of uses.
they are a well made good product and I recommend them often
February 8, 2016
we do a class of women carpenters and the tool belts that you can get directly from the stores seldom fit women. These do and they fit them well.I have bought these several times and will in the future. they are a well made good product and I recommend them often. Thanks!!!! to the folks who put them together and their pride in the product they put out ,,, it shows!
Father's Day
June 21, 2012
I purchased this item for my husband for Father's Day. I was sure the shoulder harness would be a help to his back. He liked the harness and found it comfortable but the complete belt as shown is heavy before any tools are added. I did not understand that 'flat bottom' ment the multiable sturdy pouches would be very stiff and stick out so much as to make the overall product a little clumsy. A picture of a person actualy wearing the belt would have been helpful to me. I thought the many pockets would be useful and puchased the tools recomended with my order. The quality of this belt is high and looks as though it would last a professional for years. My husband is extremeny handy, he has refurbished a house a goes on many mission trips to help others, but this particular tool belt harness combo is too heavy and clumsy for him. I would like to return it but I bought the belt in early May and Father's Day is mid June, past the 30 day return limit. So, yes my husband and I would both recommend this item for a professional and I will never again purchase a gift in advance from Amazon.

Works for me but I should have probably have gotten a full belt considering I'm constantly dragging a drill around with me as well as a level and screws and drill bits LOL
Decent Backup Belt
January 16, 2017
Bought this as a smaller belt to wear for putting up metal roofs. When I get sick of lugging around my carpenters belt I switch over to this belt for awhile and its a nice relief. The belt does hold more then I expected and when you need a break from a bulky belt for awhile its really great to have around. The quality seems to be pretty good also. I am not a huge fan of the low hammer hook on belts like this unless you enjoy getting popped in the kneecaps by your hammer all day.
Tool pouch is great
October 10, 2016
The he bag portion is great, well made with multiple pockets. As others have said the hammer loop is small and I bought the separate hammer loop.
Economical carrier for our fossil hunting tools!
November 9, 2015
I was looking for inexpensive tool belts that could easily be used by me and my son to carry rock hammers, chisels, gloves, loupes, goggles and other fossil-hunting related tools. This fits the bill, the extra pockets give us storage for small baggies, tin foil & paper towel squares (for packing our finds), and the adjustable belt (29 to 46 inches) works for both my 9 year old and me. One thing that would have been nice is to have a few pockets with zipper or flap closures. However, this is still a great value, especially since I didn't want to spend a lot on a beginning hobby!
Just what I wanted...
October 9, 2015
I wanted a tool pouch that wasn't huge. Im able to keep it light or add other bags or holsters depending on what I'm using it for. The nylon belt is a bonus but I will probably use a leather belt. This is exactly what I was looking for. I noticed that some reviews were buying these for young children and I believe that it would be small enough to make it enjoyable. The Nylon belt will probably be too large for a child.
Good belt, can use even without wearing pants with belt loops
July 14, 2015
Bought this for my husband for father's day and he's used it almost every weekend since. When it arrived, the black belt part of it was a little frayed, but he kept it anyway instead of having to return it. It fits most of the things he needs on the holder, and the belt is nice because he can wear gym shorts (like he usually is on the weekends) and still use the holder. He doesn't often use a hammer, but seems to use a power drill a lot more. This would be perfect with an extra loop for a drill.

July 23, 2017
I am 5'8 and the suspenders do not fit me. I had the tightened all the way up and the belt still sagged below my waist. So, for you short guys, this isn't the rig for you. To everyone else, the belt is decently made. It is'nt the one shown in the pictures. The pouches are huge with minimal compartments. If you're looking for a "bucket" style pouch, this will fit your needs.

Needs chest strap
May 20, 2015
Needs chest strap. Falls off shoulder. Very annoying. Other than that they are decent bags. Pockets make sense for the tools/nails/screws I need to carry. It looks like the previous CLC bags that these replaced have a shoulder strap that wont slide off. Should have bought those. These are a downgrade. The pads on the shoulder straps are annoying too. They slide around and never stay on your shoulder. They need to be attached permanently to the strap to actually be of some use.

It's a great pouch for holding everything you need but very bulky and it's hard to put on at times due to the belt sliding off the pockets. But not a bad purchase. Wouldn't buy it again though.
Great buy
March 17, 2015
I am very happy with these bags. The pockets are very large. There is plenty of space to compartmentalize all your tools. The suspenders connect to the bags by metal loops which help prevent sagging and weight on your hips. The price is very affordable. These bags are better then my $200 leather husky bags.

i like the soft suede
February 12, 2017
i like the soft suede. Smooth on the hand when you are reaching into it.But this is a tool/nail bag, it needs to be built a little better. The rivets on the belt loop should have washers behind it. One of my coworkers bought a sturdier leather bag from HD and the rivet and stitching gave way in under a week.
Nice tool belt (without belt), but no clip for tape measure
December 24, 2016
Wanted a medium size tool belt, purchased this one rather quickly. Figured being "carpenter" belt it'd have all the slots I needed. There is NO clip for a tape measure. For me this is a huge miss and the top-pocket seems are too thick to put a tape measure clip over them and not have to bend the clip too big to fit on normal belts. I'd very much prefer it have 1 hammer and 1 tape measure clip than 2 hammers...The material is nice, soft. I really like the individual screw driver pockets. The large pockets are tight/shallow, so you can't stick in big things easily, like a big tape measure (this may loosen up over time though).

OK, but not quite great design for the tools to stay in and come out easily. best to get one from local place to test the fit. Very good price.
Great belt for a kid or...
June 23, 2015
I picked this up for a friend that didn't have one and who was going to help with a siding project. Long story short, the hammer loop wouldn't fit a framing handle. It did however hold a finishing hammer but was constantly slipping out (figure this had to do largely with the nature of use; squatting and up and down the ladder). I would recommend this for a child/adolescent starter or ground based weekend warrior not up and down ladders. Great, solid equipment otherwise!!
strap broke
December 27, 2013
this tool bag is nice. The leather will hold up for a long time. The strap however will not. I was expecting this when buying it so I guess im not too dissapointed. I just would have imagined it to last longer than 5 or daily projects. The hammer loop is not too small, however I use a hammer with a wooden handle. The tape measure loop is well placed, and so is the inner loops to hold screwdrivers, a scribe, or pencil. This carries enough for someone to accomplish a weekend project or any project that requires only 5 or 6 items. My only alteration would be to make the large pocket a little bit bigger as my quick square sticks out the top by a little too much. Maybe an inner loop for a set of needle nose pliers would have been nice too. Other than that the cost is great for what you get. Just don't get your hopes up about the strap and plan to replace it after several uses and wear and tear

October 8, 2017
Bought these in June 2017, I work as a carpenter carrying around various tools so I used these daily and I put them to good use. I noticed recently that on the right side there is a fastener that is completely busted. The bags ripped at the fastener and the harness no longer holds the bags right, now looking at my left side I see that the same thing is also happening so my bags are done. They worked well for the ~4 months I had them but I wished they lasted longer for me.
Not what exected.

It was not what I expected. In the picture display, it shows two eye hooks on both pouches and a center support in the back. What I got was a single eye hook on each pouches with a single support in the back.

Great Quality and good price
December 2, 2015
Haven't used them yet but haven't found clc in the stores for a long time and these are made of the high quality I remember.Dead on and those others being sold at the big box stores are all crap. Craftsmen were ok but had a problem with their belt not being small enough or Shoulder straps shortening enough.I'm 5'8 and about a 32-33" waist. These clc were great fitting right out of the box and tight enough in the waist.Rings and hooks on suspension rig are seemingly heavy duty quality and the new design appears that they will not slide down or creep up to much and rub my neckline like many other suspension rigs I have had.Only other pair of hip bags I have had are the neon ones that were more expensive. Unfortunately, after having used them in the field, the bags seemed to droop outwards and have dropped tools out of the bags while walking around. Lost tools and bits and such because of it. Had to change from 5 to 2 stars.Only bags I have ever owned that have done this really, that I can remember. Almost as if they were made of cheaper nylon and flimsy. Having tools abd drill motor dropping out off of ladders even is no good. Perhaps a design flaw of some type?

August 23, 2015
It would be easier to use the pouch if it was more adjustable to side of the hip's, not the back. Also not being able to see which pouch to pick from makes it hard to use. Tried reversing the set-up to the front without success. Very uncomfortable. I have an older leather pouch similar to this one and it's adjustable. I'll try swapping it with someone. Who know's..

Dont go cheap when it comes to leather!
July 26, 2017
I bought this pouch along with the electrician pouch to upgrade from fabric to leather. The electrician pouch is holding up good so far and its been a couple months. However, this pouch started ripping within the first 2 weeks! The belt loop is made of thin leather so the top started to rip. I used fishing line to sew it back together. Then the rivets/sewing of the belt loop ripped also so what i needed to do was make a small hole and use a 1/4" carriage bolt and nut to hold it together (because i dont have leather rivets). After all those modifications, it is now holding up well and its going on the third month. No wonder why it was cheap...

Got these bags and was really excited about them. The tabs holding the suspenders to the bags ripped out after an hour and I only had electrical tools in the bags. The pouch for the speed square is useless and seems almost to eject the square when you walk any distance. Instead of sewn pouches for tools on the inside of the bags there is mostly a length of elastic sewn every inch. Holds nothing securely. Made with good material, poor workmanship and worse design.Went back to my old ripped bags. I wish I had not wasted t he money
