What a great company!! Bought this as an intro into drones before I plunk down huge dollars for a Yuneeq, and was very anxious to give it a try. Super easy to get flying, iOS app worked fantastic, great instructions. Alas I was a bit too anxious as I flew it into a tree while going a bit fast. So basically before I got through my first battery charge it was broken. $48 down the tubes, right? Nope. Emailed the company saying that I was a bit disappointed it didn't last longer (even though I was the one that flew it into a tree) and WITHIN AN HOUR I heard back from UTO saying they wanted to send me a replacement and was this OK. I said that would be great and 30 MINUTES LATER I had confirmation of the new drone on it's way. Oh, and did I mention that is was all well after normal business hours?? Oh my goodness what wonderful customer service. Looking at other reviews I'm not alone.As for the drone itself my initial impressions are very positive, and I really think this is a steal at $48. I'll have to hold my full review on the drone itself until I'm a bit more practiced and can keep from flying into trees. :-)Well done, UTO. You have a loyal customer and I will definitely be buying more products from you.

First off I would like to say that UTO is a great company to deal with I purchased U960 from them and had 2 motors stop on me things do happen to quality items no matter what the handled the situation very professional and assured me that if I had any problems with the product to contact them I purchased a second U960 to replace the one that was sent back to them and they quickly issued a refund for the item this hexacecopter is very fun to fly bright leds and very responsive if you plan on getting this to learn you won't be sorry it comes with a wifi camera already to fly fpv I did not get a chance to use it but I will update when I receive my other one I wasnt 100 percent sure that it came with the camera so I purchased a 808 camera to use but no need for that I assure you it has one already also I would recommend you purchase extra batteries if you want to fly more as the batteries doesn't last very long about 8 minutes of flight and maybe less with camera running over all great product and seller definitely recommend purchasing one fyi if you are looking at the mjx x600 get the UTO U960 same hex and I believe UTO makes them as well just branded MJX but UTO is about 10 bucks less and mjx don't have a cameraUpdate I received my replacement and am very pleased with its a great flyer and very fun I had no issues with this one

This is the most amazing thing I have bought for $100.00 In years. I have a small Apache Helo and it was useless outdoors. The U960 easy for this 59 year old to fly. I'll List the bad things first, I have found that the blade guards work very well to protect it from buildings and objects but they are a magnet for tree limbs. The blade protectors has a hook like on both ends of each protector and will grab anything they can. I am going to cut the points off flush with the extending arms of the blade protectors and just leave the curved part. Other bad thing GIVE IT TIME TO BIND WITH CONTROLLER. The .mov video files are hard to work with. Now for the Great things! I use my Nexus 4 for the camera and the performance is perfect. Picture quality is way better than I expected and the range is good I have never lost contact with the video, but it starts getting lagging at altitude over 250 Ft. Flight time has always been around 11.5 Minutes and I bought 3 more batteries and charge for $28.00. It handles wind very well but you need more experience than I have. I now have total flight time of around 2 hours but to be good and safe in the wind you need to be very good pilot. For a first copter I think this one is perfect. Working in Emergency Management I plan on using this for a trainer and get into more advanced models for Search and Rescue and Hazmat work when responders need to know what they are getting into. I will add some video later.

My experience with this drone so far has been incredibly positive. This U960 flies like a much more expensive drone and has a lot of great features. There are a few drawbacks, but my experience with this seller overcomes them completely.Pros:1. Inexpensive2. Easy to fly3. Does well with wind4. Can carry decent load5. The company is incredible. I stepped on one of the propellers and let them know my motor was broken. UTO emailed me a couple hours later and shipped me a new motor within two days for free. I probably could have gotten a whole new drone but it works great still.Cons:1. The camera is absolutely terrible. I've filmed my friends playing frisbee and a VT tailgate and ended up with a video so laggy you can't tell what your watching. However, it is cool to watch live what the drone can see, despite the delay.2. Because the camera sucks, you'll need a keychain camera or one of the newest go pro's to take video, so you'll have to spend more money than your may have anticipated if you want to get any decent video.3. Headless mode gets uncalibrated after a bit and it can be confusing, and the return home key doesn't really work.Overall:I am very happy with this drone and would recommend it to a friend. It's worth the money and flies great. I've had a lot of fun and a great experience with the company.

The quad is absolutely phenomenal! plenty of power, extremely stable and very easy to fly. Elder shell seems very flimsy but it is designed that way to absorb impact. very well constructed and thought out. Flying time is 7 to 10 minutes and on a professional battery charger it will charge in 30 minutes. Do not know why more people have not purchased this quad, it is absolutely amazing! My wife has never flown Any rc product and was very good by her third flight. Comes in a very nice box and packaged very well and again cannot recommend this quadcopter enough, great job UTO!!!!

This is my first "drone" and was looking for video and being able to "see" the flight by screen to see what images/video was being recorded. This far exceeded my expectations! The hexacopter is easy to fly as the remote has the ability to restrict flight (beginner mode and throttle "governor"). First flight was indoors (don't do that!) but went outside and was impressed by the range and the control of flight. Flight time is as listed, ~8 minutes (there was not wind) and the transmitter to drone is very responsive. The app found on iTunes for the FPV function was easy to install and very easy to use on my iPhone (which conveniently connects to the transmitter). My only recommendation to other buyers is to buy an extra battery or 2.

Excellent little quad copter I would highly recommend this quad copter if your a beginner like me! And even if your a pro you would still have fun with this thing it really zooooms outside but watch the wind! If you get it up to high and theres a pretty good lil wind blowin it can fly away real easy if your not careful I've chased it a few times lol! All in all though it's a great flyer and easy to fly. You have to go over the instructions for the controls and how and what the controller does and it's fairly easy to understand, I had no problem getting it to take off!! And after a short time maybe an hour and remember this is my first quad EVER I could easily maintain a hover and that's the key I found once you can keep it still with little effort the flying is all good!!! A great trainer for beginners. Easier to fly than the smaller one I first bought from another place. Resolution is 640x480, not the best, but for the price a great deal. I flew it so high it got out of range and I could not control it. It lost a prop and came crashing down and partially broke one of the motor supports. See image of disassembled unit. Surprisingly after I attached the prop it could still fly. Being technically competent, I emailed the company and asked if I could get a replacement body, since the motors and electronics still worked, I figured I could switch the body. They sent me a returned unit that was marked as defective, the body was good and I was able to swap the parts and fly again. This swapping of bodies was a challenging and not really a task for those unskilled at this sort of thing. My point in telling you this is to show what a great company Holy Stone is; the damage was my fault, but they were willing to help me by granting my unusual request. This was my first quadcopter and it hit the ground/floor A LOT at first. I found it excellent to learn to fly with because it hovers well and it survived a lot of wrecks. Time after time I would pick it up, dust it off, and it flies again. It is terrible to fly outdoors with any breeze whatsoever, but for a beginner/training quad, this was a great choice. The camera/video was a joke, but this thing is only $35 bucks, so you either get a decent quadcopter or a decent camera, but not both for $35 bucks. I would recommend this to a friend as a first quad. The customer service was... persistent to say the least. Until you unsubscribe, expect to receive 3 or more emails per week asking how your toy is working. I even got a random phone call from someone wondering how my product is working. A little too much attention, but I understand that the importer is trying to establish a name.

I got this copter as an entry level trainer for myself. In 30 min I was up, running, and buzzing around the house. Within an hour I was using the camera feature! It was quick to learn, fast to master, and gave me the confidence to purchase a Hubson. Even still, I come back and fly this copter. My wife uses it, as do both kids. I'm going to get a second so the kids don't have to fight over the one!Now for the cons,As noted in other reviews, the tab to open the door does come of quite easily. When my wife was learning, she twisted it off on her second battery. But, like others, I simply removed the door. This turned out to be a plus as I was then able to stick a 500 mAh batter in there and fly for even longer!The Prop Guards break. By the time I was competent with the copter, the first prop guard had snapped. It could still be attached to the copter, but anything short of a perfect landing would cause the guard to quiver, get caught in the prop, and be subsequently ripped off. So, I spent a lot of time re-attaching them. Even still, they did their job, and absorbed the impacts that inevitably come with learning to fly.By the time my son was done training, a second prop guard was snapped. It was an annoyance for my wife when she started to train, and I had to remove them entirely for my daughter - who had to train outside as the house is too small to learn if there are no prop guards.Finally, the budget. I was recording video with the copter (which has sound!) during the first flights, and while I was carrying it outside, I made the comment, which was recorded, how this little copter was going to be very dangerous to my budget. I was right. As soon as I saw the aerial footage of my property, from when I flew it around outside, I was hooked. I purchased more batteries, prop guards (so my daughter can learn), and even a Hubson! But I still like flying this copter.I've taken it hiking - for aerial footage in the woods - and even got a travel case for it.All said. for the price point this is an awesome purchase. Just be forewarned: It'll bite you with the Areal RC bug, I know, because it bit me!

I have really been enjoying this little drone for flying around the house. It's small and light so I don't have to worry about breaking anything, and it's really fast! I found it a bit more difficult to control than my u818a, but it's likely because of the size and weight of this drone in comparison. The model that I purchased included two batteries and 12 rotor blades total. That makes this a no brainer at the sub-$40 price point. Pick one up for yourself, they are great!Pros:-Price is nice!-Fast!-Small and light!-Two batteries-extra parts-sd card reader included!-customer service (see light bar comment in cons)Cons:-Gets away fast. This is not a child's toy. It will take time to learn to control it.-I had one light that was not working all the time, but the manufacturer sent me a new light bar for free! ++ :)-The battery is a bit difficult to stuff in the compartment, but it's nice not worrying about it falling out sometimes like it does on my U818a.Overall:This is a must buy for anyone who is on the fence about getting a drone, or anyone who just wants to have one for fun. I also appreciated the service I received from Holy Stone when I needed help.

Totally awesome toy. For the price the video and pictures can not be beat and its just a lot of fun.Also let's talk about the durability for a minute. We lost connection over a large tree that is well over 2 stories high in the neighbors yard across the street. It tumbled all the way through the tree and down a hill - all the while recording and then landed upside down. Its just fine and the video from that adventure was great. The audio itself was priceless when we finally found it. I believe someone was coo'ing about being "so happy the little buddy survived the fall". Yes that would be the husband who went down the hill to retrieve it.Its good fun. I've added a few screens from video we shot. This is our first time with one of these and we are impressed. And we are buying a second one in a different color for me!!!

i bought 2 of these for Xmas gifts...both worked well and flight time has come in at 8Min continuous flight.. easy to use and figure out (as an adult) box says for 14 and up I gave it to a 9 & 10 year old... it appears to hardy I crashed it in my house (without guards on) 8 times and still working fine... going to fly outside when better weather permits (Winter in North East) .... The best part is that on the controller you can adjust to beginner and have Altitude and keep it at very low setting to learn how to fly and adjust balance settings....I would definitely buy it again....plan to get a larger battery if you use the Wifi camera at the same time it drains the battery and you lose flight time with it on

For the money, its not too bad. Had one "emergency" landing. I was hovering it about 15 feet away, with a fairly charged battery (3-5 minutes in to a fully charged battery) and the lights blinked and I lost power. No damage thankfully. The camera...junk. The lens is set back inside the while housing, so you get a "shadow", kind of like looking through a peep hole. But hey, its $40. It is really stable, but I wish it would turn like my Estes Photo-X did. Not sure if it's a hexacopter thing, or the controls are just limited here. Mode 3 does not add more control, only flip mode. But, for $40 you get a lot. The leds are pretty bright too.

Considering the price, this device is awesome!It does can do real-time video transmitting and doing photo-taking or video-recording on your mobile phones.Pro:* Cheap in price* The noise level is acceptableCon:* Drone battery can hold for only around 20 minutes* Need manual control all the time, no functionality to stabilize itself (which is ok, considering the price)

UPDATE: This company provides amazing customer service. Although the original drone I received was defective, it was replaced immediately with no hassle. I would recommend this product and company to any amazon buyer.Ordered drone as a Christmas present. The item was package well and appeared to be a quality item until the first flight. When first powered on the drone immediately went straight up...no controls were working. We thought that maybe something inside was interfering with the transmission between the drone and the control so we took it outside. We checked the control to make sure we were not accidentally pressing any buttons and fired the drone up again. The drone immediately went straight up again. This time there was no ceiling to stop the drone and it continued to drift away. Once it was out of range it crashed into my neighbor's pond. We were not able to retrieve the drone. I do believe that this is a decent product but I think we just received a defective one. Very disappointing Christmas present for my nephew.

Just timed my last flight 9 1/2 mins. My Battery life is good but, charge time is a little lengthy. All in all, its a great flyer. Its stable and trims great. Wind can't stop it! Yaw is ok pitch is great ! Don't buy this for the camara since mine out of the box didn't work and is not hd but, this quad has power and a strong metal frame. Im ripping the camara and clipping the prop guards off ,mounting hd WiFi cam, repositioning the insanely bright front lights and make this U921 into a fast moving, super stable fpv cam drone.$40 well spent ! Giving it 4★'s because of charge time and camara. 👍👍👍👍

We had a great experience with the company when they promptly offered a new replacement after the initial one broke. Impressive! My son loved the drone and the pics from it were awesome!!! Good purchase if you want to get familiar with a drone before you invest a lot of money.

This little bugger has provided me much entertainment, and is a wonderful trainer for new drone enthusiasts! Other reviewers pointed out the latter, which is one of the primary reasons I selected this drone. I've found this toy to be very durable! It has survived many impacts and 8-foot drops onto solid concrete floors. The blades tend to fly off rather than break, due to being friction-fit to the axles. This also means that blades can be very easily fit back on in moments, so a mere blade strike generally does not hinder your fun! The included blade guards likely contribute to the drone's durability, bUT i have nto flown withe them off, so I cant say for sure. But it's solid protection and you should definitely use it.I wish battery life was greater, but it's on par with other drones of its size. Flying easy in the "slow" mode will get several minutes of flight time, but improving to "fast" mode and putting it through its paces will reduce flight time to around 4 or 5 minutes. Extra batteries are recommended; the 2 included ones won't keep you satisfied. I just ordered another pair with a multi-charger that will charge all 4 at once.The camera is the only feature I'm going to be a stickler about. Think back to early cell phone cameras, circa 2003. My guess is that to save costs, the drone manufacturer went to the dump, dug up a bunch of cell phones from this era, and recycled their cameras. Don't get this drone for the camera. Seriously. It's worthless. If you want a decent camera, shell out some additional cash, and don't look back.Camera aside, this drone is a great toy, and a great way to learn to fly drones. To these ends, I highly recommend this product! I can't say I'm an expert pilot yet, but after just a few short weeks (with fewer-than-daily flights), I absolutely feel comfortable with basic skills and would have no fear flying a much larger, more expensive model! Training is ongoing, however, because I have my sights set on racing.

Works mostly as described, but if using outside, is *very* affected by any slight breeze (took away 1 star for this). Would be a good unit for a beginner, as it seems to take a fall without breaking into bits (as other brands have). Have not been able to get the camera to work - did not take away rating because of this though, as we're unable to figure if it is User-end related (us not knowing how to work it) or Mfr issue as yet. Kept it at 4 stars mostly for the toughness of it - during a flying 'learning curve', has had numerous crashes with no major breaks. Item is small, too, about 7" side-to-side and about 2" tall, so can be flown indoors as well.

Flies well and fairly stable. A little big for my apartment but it can probably fly well outside even when there is a slight breeze. It is controllable in my place but I can't really do any maneuvering. I detracted one star since it does feel a bit jumpy/fidgety.I'm an experienced RC pilot and bought 4 of these inexpensive mini quads but did not realize this was about double the size of the other 3.(That isn't necessarily a con, I probably should have paid more attention to the size / did a little more research. It does seem that either there isn't a standard way to measure these mini quads (between motor axles or blade tips?) or sometimes the package size is given here on Amazon.)I dislike the auto-flip feature on these things. I wish I could get it to bind to my computer hobby transmitter.This was the only one out those I've tried at around the same price which has a camera (records video or can take stills but no FPV). I don't have an interest in that aspect of quads so I have not tried it. Maybe I will later or maybe I'll remove the camera since it is basically dead weight.I will try it outside if we get a decent day here in the Northeast.

I have to say, i'm a bit suprised by the sturdiness of this thing. My kids have been crashing this for the past 2-3 days, sometimes from heights of 4+ meters. I do like the quadcopter, but a few issues with it:1) it's terrible at doing flips. I've done 1 flip successfully indoors with dozens of tries.2) the outdoor range isn't that great. It could use a better antenna.3) the camera isn't all that great of quality, and it's 4:3 ratio, not HD.The first unit had some issues: the battery warning came on usually after the battery was dead. The first unit had terrible audio recording, and had issues keeping synched up with the radio. Also, with the first unit, flight time with the camera OFF was terrible - maybe 2 or 3 minutes, and it would suddenly lose power though had only flown for a minute or two.The second unit seems to not have camera audio issues, the warning lights flash a few seconds before the battery dies (could be better), the flight time seems better, but still it doesn't do flips well...I have taken it outside and it does decently well - flying it at my son's school yesterday for quite a distance.Pros: Holy Stone customer service is radically excellent. They even called my house (first ever) the day after I received the unit. When I told them of the issues, they immediately sent 2 replacement batteries and a replacement unit. The replacement quadcopter showed up within 2 days, and the batteries within about 5 days or so - from China.They did call, however, at 8:30 at night, which was not a good time.Cons: Needs better camera, better warning with low battery, better flips. (I don't get other reviews that show excellent, easy flips. Not my units - either one)I'm about intermediate with over half a dozen small helicopters and quadcopters... my favorite is the Cheerson CX10 - which flies amazingly well for it's tiny size - with warning lights that tell you your battery is done with plenty of advanced warning - a unit I've had for nearly a year with zero problems.Thanks, Holy Stone, for being so proactive in your customer service. Even though I have some minor issues with the second unit, I'd likely purchase from you again because of your excellent customer service.

Not for beginners! the drone moves forward no matter what. there is no "hover" mode on this. Good luck beginners because your going to damage this quickly.

The hexacopter is very nice for drive. Little bit hard to learn at start, but after it's fun. Not happy with battery. Mine was charged a maximum 10-12 times, then did not use couple weeks. So then it even did not recharged... Need to buy new one. My advise for buyers - buy spear battery and not same as in box, but better quality and with bigger capacity.

Flies great, super stable! But a motor seems to die every week or 2 on it. Had to keep replacements in stock to keep up with it.

I had a fly away, my brother was trying it out, the drone got a bit to far out and we couldn't get it back the return home button didn't work. I wish i could have given it a 5 because I did have a lot of fun when I did have it. If there's any way to contact UTO about the fly away please tell me.

The copter itself I rate 5 stars. flies nicely, good control, reasonably durable as far as these things go. Camera produces nice video. Good for the price.Minus 2 stars for the ABSOLUTELY AWFUL directions/manual - even worse than 'usual'... I've met many Chinese nationals who speak perfect English: please go find one of them to revise your manual so it's not total gibberish.

I have trouble flying this for a couple of reasons. I've missplaced the instruction manual and haven't figured out how to get the trim working, so it's always drifting off to the right and forward and turning, unless I correct it with the controls. It's hard to keep it hovering, much less make it go anywhere. My other problem is keeping track of which end is the front of the aircraft. I'm used to RC planes and it's pretty easy to identify the nose vs the tail without thinking. When you have to thing, let's see the yellow is .... oh heck I forget, now the green lights are ... By that time, the quad has turned 120 degrees to the right and flow off. It's fun but frustrating. I'm sure it'll be lots better if I can ever get it trimmed.

Ordered this for my godson, he loves it. This is a really cute little toy for a little boy but it is much smaller then we expected. It can easily fit in the palm of your hand. Another downside, is one of the led lights went out about two hours after we got it. I didn't even notice, but my godson pointed it out to me. The copter still flies though so he doesn't mind - however, as I was the one that paid for it, I would have liked for all of the lights to work. Nice that it comes with an extra battery but you get less then 10 minutes of fly time before the battery dies. Would have rather purchased a more expensive copter that would hold charge longer.

Camera not very good.Holy Stone® RC Quadcopter with 2MP Camera M68R(Plus) - Too big for inside, great size for outside. Easy to fly. Has headless mode but it would occasionally go out of headless mode when batteries got low and go out of control so I quit using headless mode. I got the white one and painted the back half neon orange making it easy to see. Keep it oriented in the right direction and there is no need for headless mode. Has lights that make orientation easy to see at night. I've had it to about 200 feet high. Definitely recommend this one.Mini dronesSyma x12 - Small and easy to fly, good for indoors and out. Recommend this one. I took mine to about 100 feet up and it drifted away in the wind and got lost. I will probably buy another.Cheerson CX-10 - Smaller than the syma and harder to fly. It bounces around a lot so difficult indoors. Too small for outside. Was supposed to come with spare blades but it didn't. Broke a blade and can't fly it until I buy more.

This is my first Quadcopter so this is a Newbie review. I would have given 5 stars except for issues with removing and installing the battery. The assembly was very straight forward and I had no issues. As I started to try to learn how to fly in my small apartment, I thought I'll never learn to control it but after three or four batteries of practice I can somewhat maneuver it - even in the small confines of my apartment so in an open space I imagine it would be very easy to control.The copter is amazingly durable as I did crash it into the ceiling and numerous pieces of furniture without any damage!The one issue is with the battery connector. It is extremely hard to unplug the battery from the connector. And it is also extremely difficult to fit the battery and the connector into the copter. I've started to fly it without closing the battery compartment - which works. Impatient kids or guys with brawny hands are inevitably going to damage the battery connector - leading to a high return rate. A needle nose pliers (or maybe a set of two) would come in handy to avoid ripping out the battery wires.

Fairly new into the world of Quadcopters,but Iam guessing most people are!!!This is my "3rd" quad (I have 2 other Syma small small quads)The "yaw"(twirling effect) on this model is excellent compared to my little Symas. It spins in place. The controls will be a bit to get used to (watch the reviewers video to learn how to control camera modes)The overall controls are OK its kind of sensitive (at least mine is even after re-calibrating)Video in low light is like any digital camera in low light (it sucks) but in the sun for this price its pretty good!!!The copter it self is LIGHT weight the shell is a light plastic (if this thing lands on concrete hard BYE BYE)also the wind can do a number on this one (make sure its not very windy outside when using it)One of my propeller (cheap) guards broke and I had to buy a new set of 4 (shipped from China $4.50)*****IM NOT A FAN (understatement) OF THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT IN THE FRONT (the placement AND CONNECTION is horrible)*****Trying to fit the battery back in with the wires and shut the compartment takes EFFORT!!!!!! Taking a spare battery out with you might not be a good idea(time consuming to switch). If you dont close the front compartment air flow can get in the quadcopter(compromising its stability) ANNNNND the compartment door being open BLOCKS THE CAMERA!Its a TIGHT TIGHT FIT with the battery and accompanying wires (BE CAREFUL)Sometimes it takes minutes (like 5 or more) to "push" the wires in and finding a place where they fit snug without compromising the front latch or damaging the wiring.I have also had problems with detaching the battery from the quad. The wire connector sticking and me fighting with it to get it loose/separated.In end its an OK quad for the price. I would look into a quad that has the camera that hangs down from the belly as opposed to one like this where the battery compartment could be a problem because the camera is directly under it.VERDICT: Its as big as a hand (maybe a little larger) the build feels cheap but flys good, video is good in sun light, battery compartment and connectors SUCK and almost ruin this one. Propeller guards will more than likely need to be replaced.IF I HAD TO DO IT AGAIN ID BUY THE SYMA X5 (old or newer edition) over this quad they are around the same price.To be honest I have more fun (in doors) with my tina SYMA X12 nano quadcopters than this one and this one is more powerful and has a camera just all the effort that goes into it at times makes it less than deserving of my time and maybe yours!

This is a pretty cool little quad-copter. This thing is a blast to fly and is sure to put a smile on your face the first time it lifts off! The only three things that I see prone to failure in this particular model is the battery connection which is a remote connection (one male/ one female connector attached to wires, it seems it would be a little easier if per say the casing of the battery had contacts on the outside) and the poor quality of the blade protectors.Finally my last complaint ( I know, I know) is that the charger cable could be a bit more resilient. The controls are a little touchy at first but can be refined in time. The video and pictures are excellent quality for such an inexpensive copter and the spare props are a major plus. This thing is sure to give you hours of fun!

great drone just wish you can buy parts for it if the main body breaks you seem to be outta luck. i would buy a different drone if given the chance.

Flew well, but I was never able to get it to record video

I thought that this would be a good way to start with first person view drone flight, but unfortunately the camera is garbage on this drone. It will not stay connected to the android app once beyond 4ft distance, when it is connected the lag time between action and showing on the camera makes it impossible to use for out of sight flight.The sad part is the drone I received flies quite well, strong stable flight and I am getting nice flight times on my first two charges. However advertising first person view as a headline on your item means that first person view needs to work and not does not, at all.Two stars only because the drone flies very well, otherwise this would be a one star item. I would return this item, but I feel like it is a good drone even without the camera at the price. I just think if you advertise something it should work as advertised, not sometimes.Second day;I have not noticed the issues others mentioned about the drone leaning the wrong way into the wind, the firmware must have been upgraded since those reviews went live. I have tried two different antennas on the camera so far with zero improvent. If I could I would post a video of the way it cuts video transmission in and out, but I don't know how to post videos on amazon reviews.

having a really hard time to sink remote control to hexacopter. and the battery worked well the first time. the second time died very fast ( 3 min ).the third time I recharged the battery over night and could not make it fly ( not enough charge ), the leds blinked for 30 sec them it died. very disappointed.

I purchased two (2) UTO's and I sold one. Mine required a replacement/exchange and now the one I sold was (unhappily) returned to me of which I must now ask Amazon to return/exchange.

I might be out of my element with these things but I am very experienced with remote control cars and video games etc. I use a joystick to program an automated measurement device at work. Out of the box and under 30 seconds flight time. The drone was unresponsive and drifted into some leaves on a low branch in my yard. The crash (and subsequent fall from 6 feet) broke the motor off of the arm. Unusable. Irreparable. My flight wasn't long enough to even diagnose any problems. This may not be a beginner drone but it had a beginner setting that was engaged.You will want a wide open field space for your first flight. I will be returning this and getting the most "beginner" rated model I can find.Updated Review: Bumped to 2 stars for excellent customer service.

Right out of the box I saw that the designers for this copter were concerned with PRICE and not with QUALITY or Functionality. Ease of Use has never been something for them.The compartment for the battery stinks. The little door only closes if you have a pair of small tweezers to stuff the wires back into the hole. They could have made that a hard mount connector. The Camera should be hard wired with an on and off switch. We Americans are not that stupid, we know how to turn on a switch, but we do not like to push a button and then see flickering lights and then pray the camera is on and fly the darn thing at the same time. Dumb design! The issue with the 512 M memory card is that I feel they bought out the stock from a company that went broke 10 YEARS ago. 512? Who deals with anything that small anymore?!Does the Copter fly? Yes it does. Does it take Still Pictures? Yes it does. Does it take movies? I don't know. After 2 says of reading instructions and tinkering with it, NO VIDEO! Am I going to send it back? No, I don't give up. Will I buy another from this company? H*** No.

This drone is very cool, just by looking at it I could tell that much. Pulling it out of the box was easy enough, installing the prop guards was annoying at the least without removing the props (which are even more annoying to replace or remove). But once it was constructed it looked beautiful, six rotors on their sleek plastic frame (frame looked nice but I was worried for its flimsiness). Charged the copter, fresh batteries in the remote, and I sat waiting about 10 minuets for the controller to connect to the copter, continually cycling power on both machines. Once I connected, flying was fun and easy, even got the camera to connect in FPV mode for a few minuets. That was the first and last time I flew the UTO Hex because it has not connected to the remote since then. This hex is very nice for its price, but I am really disappointed with its inability to connect to the controller. I have done a fair amount of flying in the past and this copter is outstanding in ability, but it simply wont fly because the copter wont connect. I was very excited to get this and am really disappointed in UTO for shipping out a faulty product. It could be just my copter with these problems (even though they still had quality control stickers on the parts). But overall this is a cool copter, it flies, well, is relatively easy to connect to a phone (maybe not for beginners) but 2 stars because of these controller connection issues.

I got this drone, opened it, charged it, went through all of the pre flight procedures, and I took off! Got about 30 feet off of the ground and every engine but one shut off and it spiraled into the ground! I ran over to it and the one engine was still going full throttle and it was spinning like a top! Somehow I managed to catch, tame, and unplug the battery. After the fiasco I brought it inside and tried going through all of the procedures the same thing happened as soon as I plugged the battery back in! Extremely disappointed, especially after waiting 3 weeks on shipping!

Not sure how to review this but here goes...bought for my 11 year old son for Christmas. Was very excited. Top of his wish list. Brought it out to the country to fly Christmas Day. Drone took off fine, flew high up in the air, became unresponsive to his controller. Flew away into the afternoon sky and never saw it again. Son had it for 5 minutes. Was completely devastated Christmas Night. Not sure why it become non-responsive to controller

Worked great first flight, then on next flight unit was a fly away. It flew with out control to a high altitude and over a heavily wooded area and disappeared. We spent hours looking but Skynet must have it. One button return was useless it did not function. Important note unit was less than 50 meters from control unit and less than 10 meters altitude when unit stopped responding to controller and went full throttle.

Hexacopter was fun to fly on the first flight, however midway through my second flight the drone became unresponsive to the controller and flew away at full throttle. No matter how much I tried to kill the power to the hexacopter it was completely unresponsive to my commands and was absolutely impossible to find after flying away like that.

This is a zero star product. It didn't turn on to start out with. There wasn't any way to get a hold of the seller. Didn't describe how to take a picture with the unit and how to download the pictures. The controls would only work if you were within 20 feet of the drone. Once it got out of the 20 foot range it would take off on it's own. Very difficult to find. No longer have to worry about it as it took off today and was unable to find it. Never worked as advertised. Would like to get my money back.

Bought this for my son sow Christmas and the cord that connected it to the USB cable broke the same day. Very delicate and not fixable.

awful waist of money! never flew straight right out of box,could not fly with any resemblance of control. crashed (on grass) and broken within an hour of first flight. Thought it was maybe it was a defective unit, tryed to contact seller, no reply. Bought a second one thinking it was MAYBE something I did......WRONG same problem with second one! now it sits on a shelf collecting dust. potential buyers BUY a different drone!!

After 2 days neither of the drones work!!! Stay away!!!

I am very dissatisfied with the overall performance of this product. After only one week of usage both indoors and out the quadcopter does not take off even after following trouble shooting instructions.

update..Customer service contacted me in june 2015 and told me they're sorry for the poor performance of their product and then said they will send a new drone ....its now late August and still no drone ....At first all was good then the next day one of the propellers just stopped working.....and no i didnt crash it
