Absolutely love this bottle❤️
September 22, 2017
This product is amazing. An employer of mine at a fitness studio I work asked me how I like this bottle and was considering purchasing bottles in bulk to provide her clients. For reasons I find baffling, most of my clients (and most people in general) do not carry an appropriate reusable water bottle. They either reuse an old water bottle (this is unhealthy - google it). Or they buy a water bottle or have nothing at all. My employer thought she would reward extended clients with this bottle. I was saddened to see the bottle design has changed somewhat now and is even more expensive. I've had my bottle for I think almost two years now and it is one of the best investments I've made. I live in Miami and it's hot and humid all year round except for our winters which last about a week or two. A trick I use with my hydro flask is to fill the bottle halfway with water or tea, then place the bottle in the freezer to get the liquid nearly ice cold. Obviously this can take a while even with the top off. I then add more water, or room temp tea. The liquid stays ice cold for hours. A welcome relief from the tropical heat especially when training outside.
directly in the sun's rays) and when I opened it later the ice cubes were still there and looked like they didn't even melt one
March 25, 2017
I purchased 3 of these for family members' Christmas presents back in December. However somewhere around 1-2 years ago I bought one through a local brewery (shout out to Yards Brewery in Philadelphia!) and have honestly become a free spokeperson/marketer for HydroFlask ever since. Doesn't everyone want that feeling of drinking an ice cold glass of fresh water, with EVERY sip? I keep this with me at all times.. at my desk at work, at the gym, in the car, it's replaced the glass cup of water I would usually keep by my bedside. My relationship with this water bottle is quite literally the most constant and loving relationship in my life at the moment. I luuuuuv you, waterbottle.Truly keeps beverages ice cold for hours. Last year I accidentally left mine in the car on a hot summer day for a few hours (mine is colored black and was on the seat, directly in the sun's rays) and when I opened it later the ice cubes were still there and looked like they didn't even melt one bit. The seal is incredible - I've had mine buried in my backpack getting tossed around with other items, and it never comes open.Other than the free fill of beer I got when I initially purchased it at the brewery, I have only ever used it for water. I can't really speak on if it retains the flavors of anything else (lemon water, juice, alcohol, etc) but when I used it for water for the first time a few weeks after I had used it for the beer/washed it, there was no trace of IPA in any sip of water I took. I also have yet to use it for hot beverages, but I am thinking of getting a second one for all things other than water and will update once I do!
Definitely unexpected refreshment at it's best!!

So far, I've bought 3 of these bottles and I love them!! I originally bought one for myself and now the other 2 I bought as gifts.Their motto is "Unexpected Refeshment" and I have to say that's probably the truest motto I've ever come accross for a company.I can leave water and some ice in these bottles at the beginning of the day, leave the bottle in my car for hours, and then when I get back the water is still extremely cold!! It's amazing.I also like just having it with me when I'm at home too. I can just fill it up, and always have cold water with me.Studying with this bottle is great too - it doesnt sweat so your papers or electronics wont get any moisture on them!! Unless you spill it of courseOverall, I'd definitely recommend this bottle. As I said, after I bought my own at first, I bought 2 more as gifts so others could enjoy it as well. They are a little expensive at first, but they have a lifetime warranty and very good customer service so I feel good about buying it.There are a lot of different sizes, I find the 24oz ones fit best for my needs since it has the most possible fluid while still fitting in my standard size car cup holder. If you have bigger cup holders, the larger may fit as well!
Great product!!!

I really only drink water if its cold. Thanks to this product, I am drinking more water since it is able to keep my water colder for longer. It only keeps beverages cold for 24 hours if you use ice. If you just use cold water, I would say it keeps it cold for 12 hours or so. I like this item over the Klean Kanteens for a couple reasons. First because Hydro Flask has many mouth size selections for their insulated flasks while Klean only has one. I went with the standard so I could fit the sport nozzle 3.0 from Klean Kanteen on it. This is a must have add on item. Second, I like how narrow the Hydro is in comparison to the Klean Kanteen. The 21 oz bottle I purchased fits in my car cup holder perfectly (e90 BMW).I primarily use this at work and three of my co-works have since purchased one after seeing mine. All three also added on the sport nozzle. We all agreed we really like the powder coated finish on the Hydro and the flat colors look really good. The powder coat makes it very durable. I hate having water bottles that have painted on color. It starts peeling really quickly, especially if you chip it against something. I also like how it has a stainless steal lip so you dont get any weird taste if you decide to drink straight from the bottle.I love the Hydro Flask and I recommend it to my friends and family all the time.
Color me impressed.

I have to admit something to all of you. I had a problem... I bought a lot of water bottles. My wife has started making me get rid of one whenever I came home with a new one. I just couldn't help myself. I have one water bottle in my car, one at work, one at home by the bed, and one by the computer. That's all in the past though. I realize now that I was just waiting for the right water bottle to come along. A water bottle that could keep cold liquid cold, hot liquid hot, be rugged, and sexy all at the same time.Pros:+ Keeps ice water icy all night long. Still keeps it cold for most of the day, even in Texas heat.+ Whew! It will keep coffee hot hot hot! I am not "lava lips" and my coffee was undrinkable even an hour later. I had to drop a couple of ice cubes in there to make it bearable. That being said, it didn't get close to cold before I could finish my cup.+ The coating on the bottle is heavily scratch resistant. I cringed when I dropped it for the first time onto concrete. Barely noticeable now.+ Easy to clean.Cons:- Can stain if tea or coffee is left in the container over night. Not really the products fault, so they keep the star.Pro-tip: Make sure you are getting the mouth size that you want and that the accessories are made for that mouth size. Research this a bit first!TLDR: Haven't looked for another water bottle since. This is a buy, and it should last for a VERY long time.
The Bottle of my Dreams
May 7, 2014
I like my water bottles like I like my men: frigid and able to keep everything bottled up inside. This water bottle is like my Prince Charming! It never leaks, keeps water just as cold as it was when you put it in, and is very durable. I'm assuming these characteristics aren't just specific to the green color, so I'd recommend you buy this in whatever color suits your fancy.

Great!

I use this waterbottle every day. Keeps my water nice and cold throughout the day.
keeps my water cold for hours!
July 30, 2015
This bottle is great! I work on a farm so I constantly have my water bottle handy, and it keeps cold drinks cold and hot drinks hot for hours! The top is a little smaller than other bottles I have had in the past, but once I got used to it I actually prefer a smaller opening. The little carabiner on the top is pretty flimsy.
Great bottle
July 27, 2015
This water bottle is great for going to the gym or on a hike. Very little energy gets through the insulation. I leave mine in the fridge overnight, and it stays cool through lunch easily. Can't recommend enough.
They worked great. Everything that was stated about them was true
July 26, 2015
I just returned from the madden journey using these bottles on a trip into the the Bob Marshall Wilderness. They worked great. Everything that was stated about them was true, ( they are light weight, kept my water cool for over 24 hours, and never leaked a drop even when I set my pack sideways in my tent). I recommend these bottles to anyone looking for a quality water bottle, and they look pretty neat as well.
Not just another water bottle!
August 14, 2014
I have been falling further down the rabbit hole of BPA & Phytate avoidance and was on the hunt for a good reusable water bottle. I originally had the Brita-filter Water bottles that assured me it was BPA free on purchase. While I love the idea of being able to filter any water I refill the bottle with on the go - I HATE the idea of that plastic container roasting in a hot car. I came across this bottle and it seemed to promise all that I was looking for: Stainless Steel for BPA & Phytate avoidance, durability, etc. AND insulation for maintaining the temp of your beverage as it should be. After receiving it and using it daily for about 2 weeks let me tell you - IT WORKS! And it works even better than I thought it would. I can put cold water in this bottle and leave it in my car for hours (I live in SC - very hot in August) and when I go to drink it again its still nice & cool! I find that my daily water intake has increased because of the great tasting water that lasts for hours on the go. I love it more than I ever thought I would love a water bottle. I was originally worried about it being too heavy but the weight of this bottle, even full of water, is quite the opposite. It feels lighter than most of the plastic bottles I've carried. Its an investment to spend this kind of money on a water bottle but worth it - if something ever happens to this one I'll be replacing it immediately with another!

Keeps water cold
September 2, 2017
This works well to keep water cold, even in very hot temperatures. But there are 2 drawbacks. One is, unless you screw the lid on super tight, if the bottle tips over, it will leak. So I have to screw it on tighter than I'd like, so tight that it's a bit hard to open. The second drawback is, the outer coating is extremely scratchable. So after a year of using it, now it has tons of scratches and dings. But I'm not so concerned with the appearance. I continue to use it daily, and I'm happy I bought it.
Long term impressions.
July 14, 2017
This water bottle keeps stuff cold A LONG TIME! Longer than the yeti I have. This size has proved to be perfect for me, who takes it on my backpack to school all day. Only problem I have had is that they dent pretty easily. I am a very careful person, but denying this thing is kind of inevitable. I let a friend borrow it, and they put a dent in the bottom... still looks fine, but if you're the perfectionist type, like me, it might bother you after a while. The coat is pretty durable, and it fits perfectly in a bike bottle holder.

I really like this thermos but there is no getting around how clumsy it is to carry around. I do not want to get a strap but I have dropped it a few times by carrying it with one finger through the loop hole. I even cracked the top and had to replace it. I fill it with ice and water and it generally keeps the water cold until I refill.
Cold all day
August 24, 2016
It took me 4 month to buy my first Hydro Flask bottle (40oz) and a week later I decided to get my second (21oz).Look, as water bottles goes, they are very expensive, but I'm very happy with my purchase. I had been using Nalgene bottles forever, but I have been slowly getting rid of all plastic bottles. My bottles are often baking in the sun while I play sports. 1) that can't be good. And 2) water is always warm.I used to freeze the water in my Nalgene and take it with me completely frozen, the ice would never last. Now with my HydroFlask, ice last almost all day. I recently went to the beach with my HydroFlask, my bottle was sitting on the hot sand baking in the sun in 100°, the ice cube inside never fully melted my entire time out. (3hours) When I play sport, I don't even fill the bottle with ice, just filtered water from my fridge, and it stays cool the entire time out.The bottle themselves doesn't get warm to the touch and I have not experience any slippage in my hand. I was worried that the water would taste metallic but I haven't tasted such. The one down side is they are slightly heavier than Nalgene bottles, but it's well worth the switch. Biggest hesitation was the cost, the reason it's not a 5 star. But I've had the same Nalgene bottle for a decade and I plan to keep my HydroFlask bottles for just a long if not not longer, so I look at it as an investment.I don't know if HydroFlask are the best vacuum insulated bottles, but they are the most aesthetically pleasing to me. I love all their colors. Now to find stickers to decorate my bottles.
Excellent bottles, work well but have have to buy flat caps additionally
April 27, 2016
Excellent water bottles. I own two 12oz and one 18oz. I like how there are different caps to choose from (I prefer the flat caps due to space concerns and their all metal design). My biggest complaint is that the 18oz is a little too tall to fit in one of the bags I need to carry it in (thus why I also have two 12oz bottles, it would have been nice to only have two 16oz size bottles but oh well). The insulation works well, my water stays cold all day. I also like that their flat caps are all metal except for a gasket (vs the loop cap that is all plastic). Why did I rate only 4 stars? 12oz is too small, 18oz is big (psychically, it's too tall a 7" tall bottle would have been perfect) and there is no choice of caps when buying the bottles. I had to buy the flat caps separately which means I now have 6 caps, 3 of which I don't use.
Excellent quality bottle, small condensation
August 24, 2015
I purchased my HydroFlask 6 months ago, and have been using it daily ever since. There are noticeable marks around the "shoulders" of the bottle, but I think these add a little personality to the otherwise simple-looking bottle. It is a little heavy compared to plastic bottles, but that is expected of such a sturdy built stainless steel bottle. The thermal isolation is of excellent quality, keeping my drinks icy cold (sometimes even keeping the ice) out the day. If I use it with a hot beverage, I have to remember not to store it at an undrinkable temperature, since doing that would stop me from drinking it for at least 4-5 hours. That being said, there is no insulation at the top of the bottle, so storing cold drinks in a horizontal position causes condensation on the neck of the bottle. There is no mention of this anywhere that I could find, but an email to the support team quickly answered this question.Overall, this seems like it could last me decades, with the only fragile part being the rubber band around the cap, that can be easily replaced. The only real downside to it is the fact that, if simply tossed inside a backpack with a cold beverage, there could be condensation if it gets into a horizontal position. This isn't really a problem for most people, but could cause problems if you are unaware of this fact (as I was) and put it together with books,

Good design, save the seal on the cap
May 25, 2016
I got this for my girlfriend so she would have a nice water bottle throughout the day. The seal on the top completely gave out which causes it to leak. That was within 5 months of use. At first their customer service email address never responded to me, but after I lowered my Amazon review rating they said they were sending out some new tops. So, that's a bonus.

As for the overall performance of this thing - it's pretty impressive. We took it to Hawaii where temperatures were near 85 degrees and at the end of the day there was still ice in this thing. The outside of the bottle felt hot to the touch, yet somehow the insulation kept the ice from melting and our water cold. My only beef (aside from the seal on the top) would be the narrow opening. It's slightly too small to easily shove ice cubes from a tray into it. You can dance around this problem by just making smaller than normal cubes.
Keeps super cold.
August 2, 2015
I did a test where I filled the entire bottle with ice, capped it, and marked the time. After 12 hours there was still visible ice. Pretty cool. The only thing I found wrong with it is that the bottle gives the water a metal taste.
very sleek looking and keeps cool nicely otherwise
July 26, 2015
in retrospect i should've gone for a top that was attached to the actual water bottle as i am very prone to losing things. i also have a bit of trouble taking off the top, especially with the metal things still attached to the top. very sleek looking and keeps cool nicely otherwise.
Works great so far
July 22, 2015
Works great so far, drop it once... it did make a dent on the bottom, but it still works perfectly.
Could Be Perfect
July 22, 2015
The bottle itself is excellent for keeping 4-5 cubes of ice and plenty of water very cold for hours, but the inconvenience of an unattached cap caused me to only rate it 4 stars overall.

I am in and out of the car all day long and just don't want to take the time to screw the cap off/on every time I leave the car. In order not to lose the cap I put it in my second cup holder and leaving it there while I'm out of the car allows the ice to melt and the water not to remain ice cold. Still plenty cool, though. Our summer days in NC can get amazingly hot and a closed up car causes a significant rise in the temperature, so I can't expect the ice not to melt. If I'm going to be out of the car for quite some time, I'll replace the cap and that allows the bottle to perform at its maximum level. Can't do that often, so I frequently wish the cap were attached and I could replace it easily every time I hop out of the car.

I haven't taken a long trip by car with my wife yet, but when I do, she'll be using the second cup holder and my storage space for this cap will not be available. Then I'll have to figure out where to put it so it won't disappear.

Other than my cap challenge I am very pleased with the bottle. I don't get any taste of metal and really enjoy the capacity of the bottle. Not having to refill it but once or twice during a day is nice. I've used it five times and have put it in the dishwasher after every use and so far it has not harmed the bottle at all. If the only thing that does is some possible cosmetic damage that won't be a problem. The good news is that even if the bottle is damaged so that I can't use it anymore it won't be a big problem since it was so reasonably priced. And you can bet I'll replace it with a bottle with an attached cap.

January 29, 2017
The bottle keeps water cold for an amazing amount of time however the shell and lid are not made all that well. My hydroflask fell out of the pocket on the side of my backpack and that was enough to put a quarter sized dent into the outside of the bottle. It didn't dent the inner shell that holds the water but my bottle won't sit flat on a table any more. I've accidentally dropped it a couple other times and its dented from both and part of the cap chipped off. If you want a bottle that will keep stuff at the temperature you want for a long time this is for you. If you want a bottle that is more durable than your smart phone then look elsewhere
Great, Except …
November 15, 2016
I took it out of the box and loved the color and feel right off. Was very excited and quickly washed it and filled it with ice and water. I sat down to enjoy my cold drink and noticed a dent near the top. I hadn't noticed it up to that point. It's about the size of a dime. I've had the same ice in it since this morning and it is a solid clump still this evening. Love the bottle, also ordered my husband a purple one that came with no dents. I'm trying to decide if it's worth the trouble to exchange it because of the dent. That's why I took two stars off. It should have been caught before shipping because it was packed well but I hate the hassle of shipping something back because I live in a rural area.
Works, but overpriced
July 7, 2016
Seems to work as advertised. However, mine was delivered with several obvious imperfections in the powder coat. This makes me concerned about their QC in general. Also, severely overpriced compared to the Kleen Canteen analog, which works just about as well and looks better IMO.
Stays Cold, But The Paint Is Wearing Off
April 20, 2016
Functionally, the bottle performs as you might hope. It keeps drinks icy for quite a while. The top is somewhat awkward to unscrew, but the optional sports top means not having to unscrew at all. Keep in mind you can't squeeze this bottle, and the sports top though vented doesn't pour very quickly, but if you don't mind sucking on the pull spout like a straw, it works well. Sadly, you cannot buy the bottle already equipped with the sports top, so if that's what you want you end up with a standard top you might never use. This approach is not particularly efficient for the consumer, or green from a corporate standpoint, but it racks up additional revenue for the manufacturer. It's a shame the bottle can't be purchased with the sports top, or modularly where you buy the bottle and top of your choice. In addition, the powder coating/paint on the colored bottles is not very tough. I carry mine in a cupholder on my golf push cart, and the paint is wearing off the bottle and onto the inside of the cup holder after only the first week. It's understandable, to a degree, given how much it gets jostled in the cup holder in a round of golf, but the areas of the bottle in contact with the cup holder are turning white from the wear. Going to look pretty ugly by the end of summer, the way it's looking. Might not be an issue for everyone, but better to know ahead of purchase. I chose a lighter colored bottle to keep it from absorbing UV and stay cooler, since brushed stainless and dark colors get pretty hot in the sun.
It keeps things hot, but not dishwasher safe. Coffee tastes weird.
December 18, 2015
It still makes coffee taste weird like all steel containers do. I prefer it kept in ceramic. It does keep things super hot. I thought it would be dishwasher safe as my friend said, but it isn't so that was another disappointed. I ordered a green one and it looked different online (my computer's screen color), so I was a little disappointed in the color too.
Not bad fell way short of the claim
April 8, 2015
I was really excited to get this bottle (21 oz) but I have to say that I feel quite let down when it comes to how it performed with my coffee this morning. I made my coffee (french press method using water brought just to boiling) at about 7 a.m., filled the bottle to about 1-½ inches from the top and headed off to work looking forward to having my coffee around 11:00 as usual. I was a bit concerned about 30 minutes later when I held the bottle as I transfered it from my backpack to my desk and found it to be warm to the touch. The only way it would be warm was if there was heat transferring across the vacuum barrier from the inner wall to the outer wall. I hoped that was normal though and left it on my desk until about 10:45. I poured my coffee and noticed there was no steam. Did it cool off too much? I took a sip and instead of getting hot coffee, I got luke-warm. I could have gulped the entire cup without any concern of scalding myself. The outside of the bottle also felt much cooler to the touch than earlier in the morning. By the time I had my second cup at 1:00, it was essentially room temperature.By way of comparison, I have a Zojirushi bottle that's functionally the same as this (2x-walled, vacuum insulated) that does a much better job at keeping things hot when used in the exact same manner.I can't say I don't like it. I like the design and the materials and I love the tenets the company lives by. I think it will be a very nice water bottle for kayaking or biking but for hot beverages, unless I got a defective one, don't expect it to to achieve anything close to the 12-hour claim. Four hours is more realisitc.

Suspect quality
May 21, 2017
Just received bottle today. Washed and rinsed inside and out. Filled with cold water. Turned bottle over and noticed liquid coming out around the shiny aluminum disk on the bottom. Gentle pressure popped it off to reveal it is bonded in place with a low quality double sided adhesive tape. The liquid was simply water that had gotten in the space under the decorative aluminum disk. I noticed that the "vacuum" space is sealed with black epoxy rather than welded or hermetically sealed metal joints. Appears to be a measure to cut costs (which is surprising since it should be possible to easily weld the inner and outer canisters). Not sure why epoxy is used to seal the evacuation port. But it explains why the bottle is not dishwasher safe: heat would soften the epoxy and lead to loss of seal integrity and loss of vacuum. Such cost-cutting at the expense of quality is regrettable but a sign of the times with "entrepreneurs" farming out their manufacturing to China. Buy a company, and outsource to the lowest bidder.
Lid is NOT leak-proof!
January 25, 2017
At first, I really loved this, but within a week, the rubber around the lid stopper started coming out and I couldn't get my bottle to stay completely closed. I'd tighten the cap and just when I thought it was almost done, it would skid and go back to being loose. Today I finally got fed up with it because it fell and the lid popped right off and hot coffee went all over my floor. Not what I expected when I bought a "leakproof, no spill cap." It keeps things hot and cold, but the lid doesn't hold. And it dented pretty badly when it fell today. I think it's been a good ride but I'm throwing it in the garbage.
Love the look of it
April 20, 2016
Love this design. The bottle has a few imperfections right out of the box: little pockmarks and bumps in the white shell. But that's not a huge deal. This bottle really insulates what you put in it. Cold water stays cold, but not as long as hot liquid stays piping hot. Honestly, it almost insulates too well sometimes. Make sure if you're putting hot liquid in that you remember it's still hot when you go to drink it. Sometimes it takes a while for it to cool to drinking temp.

EDIT: The design has rubbed off, which I'm really disappointed about. The look of the bottle was a big factor in buying it, but the logo is completely gone. I'm bummed.
The water bottle is amazing at keeping water cold
November 21, 2015
The water bottle is amazing at keeping water cold. The product description and multiple reviews say there is no metallic taste, but this has not been accurate on my water bottle. Unfortunately, water gains a metallic taste after a few hours in the water bottle.

The manufacture should consider etching the bottle with their logo. I have had this water bottle for about 2 months, and the logo has almost completely rubbed off.
Maybe not for those who will use dishwasher
October 21, 2015
I live in Florida, so it's easy to get dehydrated in this heat. I liked the idea of keeping insulated water bottles in my car so I wouldn't have to carry them in to work with me since the place I park is about a mile from my building. I bought this and a Cayman Fitness bottle at the same time to compare. I put an equal number of ice cubes in each in the morning and then filled them with filtered tap water. I left both of them in the car all day (8am to 4pm). I found that when I was able to park in the shade, they were both still cool by the end of the day. On the days I wasn't able to park in a shaded area, the water in this bottle was warm, but the water in the CF bottle was still slightly cool. That's why I stopped using it and bought another CF bottle. I should mention that I did put this bottle in the dishwasher because I avoid washing things by hand as much as possible. The manufacturer recommends hand washing. Maybe that has something to do with my less than great experience.

Metal taste
February 8, 2017
Love my Hydro Flask, especially the color - Tangelo. As far as keeping my beverage hot and/or cold I haven't really noticed anything significant. It's about the same as my metal tumbler from Starbucks.Update: Every time I use my Hydro Flask I taste metal. At first, I thought maybe it was the water where I just moved, but even with filtered water it still has the awful metal taste.

April 23, 2016
My first order of this hydro flask bottle came with a few scratches on the paint coating and a few tiny bumps that can scratch your skin if you are moving your hand around the bottle. I thought the paint coating is claimed to be scratch resistant? There was also a dent in the bottle behind the paper labeling that the bottle comes with. I decided to return the bottle and ordered a new one. The second bottle didn't have any scratches this time, but again, there is a small dent in the bottle near the hydro flask logo. There also seems to be a dirty scratch line and dirty spot on the interior where the cap screws in. I've tried washing it off but it doesn't seem to do the trick. I will not attempt to return this second bottle for a replacement again because I really do not want to keep returning a bottle just to possibly get another slightly damaged item. It's not worth to keep prolonging the wait to use the bottle. The damaged bottles are the reason why I'm giving this 2 stars.
I read how these were the best insulated water bottles around so thought I'd try one
April 19, 2016
I read how these were the best insulated water bottles around so thought I'd try one. I agree that it keeps my water cold. My problem is that the lid leaks. A lot of times I put my water bottle in with my groceries because my hands are full. But then everything gets wet. I did manage to seal the cap really, really tight and it didn't leak, but then I couldn't get it off without using a lid opener that left gouges in the plastic cap. So unless you have a grip like a blacksmith, you might want to go elsewhere...
I wanted to buy a good reliable product suitable for our New Zealand environment
December 17, 2015
Hello, I bought this product because i am an active outdoor person (long distance walking, cycling, MTB, sailing and surfing). I wanted to buy a good reliable product suitable for our New Zealand environment. The company and their story did sound quite appealing that time and, including interesting research and good reviews). I used this bottle during a back-country walk. Used bottle for hot water. after 4 hours the water out of this bottle was warm, definitely not hot anymore (we used an average cheap flask as well, this water was still hot - price of this bottle round 15 NZD). Used this flask for cold water as well. Same problem. No cold water, just average temperature (hold in back pack didn't open the bottle on regular basis). Very disappointing. This company seems to invest quite some money in hip, slick marketing and clever campaigning. The flask is made in China, so called 'under strict supervision'. Conclusion: you're basically pay for some slick boys and girls with clever marketing, look and feel etc, but their product is not suitable for people who actually actively spend their time in the outdoors in sometimes harsh circumstances. Need to send back the bottle. Unfortunately shipping costs are quite expensive from NZ to USA, hope company will provide support in this matter.
Just ok.

This is a decent water bottle, but I haven't had the success others have had keeping drinks cold. I'd say about 5 hours tops in warm weather.Update: I now wonder if mine "failed" as others have commented here. I keep it in the refrigerator, then fill it with water stored in another container also in the frig, but now the bottle is cold to the touch even after sitting out. If I add ice it stays cold for maybe 3 hours at work. Very disappointing considering what I paid for it.
Definitely disappointed with this product

Definitely disappointed with this product. Not only does the bottle not hold fluid at temperature (ice water that was only slightly cold after 4 hours), but the lid itself does not seal and water has leaked out multiple times. From a drinking-function perspective, the shape is great, the exterior of the bottle doesn't sweat, and the size of the mouth is great for drinking. From a temperature perspective, doesn't do it's job.

Poor quality
February 11, 2017
After just a few uses, about 4 times, the paint started smearing. I bought this bottle to use at work and definitely did not want to carry around a worn looking bottle to meetings, so I was very disappointed in the quality. Definitely don't recommend the white one. I gave it two stars because technically it functions as a bottle, but it did not work well. I ended up getting a klean kanteen after, which sometimes goes on sale for cheaper, and noticed a significant difference in quality, i.e. the paint is solid and has no chance of smearing, and it felt thicker and sturdier, so you might want to consider that one instead if you're searching for a stainless steel bottle.
This water bottle has a pretty nice looking design and keeps things cool/warm pretty well

This water bottle has a pretty nice looking design and keeps things cool/warm pretty well. After one year of use however, here are my concerns:

I take this bottle rock climbing and it shows, sporting several dents in the bottle. Also, the little carabiner on the lid is cheap and has already broken. Not a big deal but I actually did use it to clip to my harness sometimes when my hands were full.

The worst offender: The rubber gasket on the lid of my bottle was cheap and stretched to the point of not keeping a seal within one year of use. Instead of getting a new bottle I went ahead and ordered a 3 pack of replacement lids (why are they only available in a 3 pack?) and thankfully the gasket appears to be much higher quality. Comparing to the images for the product it looks like they have the new, better gasket so it's possible this problem has already been fixed and new costumers will get it but I don't know. Now I have two extra lids and nothing to do with them but at least the bottle is functioning again.

I almost gave it a little higher review but really for a bottle that stopped functioning before a year of use it doesn't deserve the 4.7 average it currently has; that is unless the gasket problem has definitely been fixed and you use it for your desk job or don't mind dents.

I bought this product after reading the reviews on here. I don't use it that much but i have noticed since the beginning that I think have got the fault piece and it always leak so it might be cap is faulty otherwise the quality and functionality of the bottle is very good. I don't know how to fix it, i was really hoping to use this for this summer.
... an uncoated stainless steel bottle and this one looked great. So I bought two
March 27, 2016
I was looking for an uncoated stainless steel bottle and this one looked great. So I bought two, one for my wife and one for me. However in my search, that included on essential criteria that it be Made in USA, apparently forgot to look closely enough and drat, these are made in China. I don't care whether its some specific steel grade certification or not. Both for heath and economic reasons, I try to avoid buying stuff from China which is nearly impossible unless your are wealthy. But I really don't want something that touches food from there. And yes, I'm sure you all can tell me how many things are from China in my life. Too bad I waited too long to return them. My biggest complaint is for Amazon. When I search your site with the phrase "Make in USA", it would be nice it the search engine had an option for true matches, not just close enough. Or better yet, at least put the country of manufacture in the item description. And if you can't do it, you could require it of your vendors, no?
Poor quality, do not buy!

The seller shipped me a replacement for free. In general, the customer service is good.

Previous Review:
The paint on the bottle is very easily worn off and when you drop the bottle on your floor, the surface will bend easily. If you think this bottle should be very strong and you're wrong!

Metal Rust
August 3, 2017
Be aware that the metal rust inside! This is the second one we purchased (one at Wholefoods, and one here Fromm amazon). With the first canteen we also had rust spots but we though my that maybe we just got a defective one. We purchased another one here From Amazon in red color to match our son's Lego pack pack. In less than 3 months usage we got the rust spots! We will never buy this brand again. Not safe!
Avoid the 12 oz size option
March 21, 2017
Do not buy the 12 oz size. I had heard that Hydro Flask products were great. The small size (12 oz) does not work. Boiling water was lukewarm after only 5 hours when the packaging says hot liquids will last up to 7 hours. I also filled the bottle with ice and it had all melted to room temperature over night. The packaging also says that it'll keep liquids cold for a whole day. Do not get this product. Perhaps the traditional sizes work better, but I am returning the bottle that I purchased.
Save your money
March 17, 2017
I believe these are being made differently or are counterfeit. I bought one a little over a year ago, from a Sports gear retailer and there will still be ice in it the next day. After purchasing this one on Amazon, after two hours, there was no ice when I opened it, and it was "cool" not cold water. This was filled at home in the morning and only opened after the 2 hours to refill another cup I keep at my desk. Also it feels lighter than the other one I own. These are also Made in China for those of you interested in where it was manufactured.
Don't buy
May 3, 2016
I recently got this less than a month ago. It worked incredibly well and I loved it. Buy today I just started to notice a spec of rust at the bottom of my water bottle. I'm going to try to scrub it off but I am very upset with this product. I started put to love it and took it everywhere but now It has become very disappointing.
I have friends who said the Hydro Flask was great for keeping hot drinks and soup hot for hours
February 27, 2016
Really disapointing. I have friends who said the Hydro Flask was great for keeping hot drinks and soup hot for hours. But I tried filling this flask about half full with hot coffee twice, leaving it once for three hours and once for four hours. In both cases the coffee was luke warm/tepid when I tried it again. Maybe it works better if it's filled all the way to the top with hot liquid, but filling it all the way was not the use I wanted to make of this.

Tastes and smells like metal
My letter to Robyn Everingham, owner of Futurepace Tech
August 10, 2016
Well, Robyn.

I was going to spare you the news that your bottle already went into the recycling bin.

I (as I assume many others) grieve the loss of a truly stunning product made by Eco Vessel. It was available in 25 and 40 ounce sizes (I believe.) The key feature was that it was triple walled stainless steel.

Now that product truly lived up to its promise. Somewhere along the line I'm assuming that they got the Chinese middle finger on their production standards. The tops stopped fitting well and the newer models leaked when you drank from them. The tops were no longer deep enough to seal properly.

So I looked for a replacement that worked as well. Initially, I found the double walled Mira. It's just OK. After 8 hours at room temperature (which at my house is 66° F.) the water inside the bottle is tepid. Not truly cold (as Eco kept it.)

Since then, I've still been looking for a truly good product. I'm sorry to say that your bottle doesn't perform even nearly as well as the Mira does. I think it's the cheap plastic cap on yours that's the weakest point.

If you want to create a truly superior product, start with using triple insulation. Then use a decent insulating cap. I'd gladly pay twice as much for a product that really works. (You can hold me to that.) Your current model is the worst of the several I've purchased (by far.) That's why it went to the recyclers.

The others are literally the same bottles as Mira, with different logos. It's sad. One is from my husband, from Nordstrom at $38 plus tax.

Before you ask, yes, I did read and follow your directions.

I assume this is not what you were hoping for. But given that you persisted with three unsolicited emails, I decided not to keep my mistake to myself.

I see that there are no fewer than four Mira-like bottles on Amazon alone. Again, I'd rethink your cap, if you'd like to become competitive.

Best regards and good luck.

Broken screw cap in one month
March 7, 2016
Had it one month and the cap is broken so that it leaks. Strong bottle, cheap lid. I would rate it higher
if the company sent extra lids with the bottle, or made the screw top stainless steal as well.

I do not understand all the good reviews. This is nothing more than a glorified canteen.
It keeps drinks barely cool, not cold. It evens sounds like the canteen I had during the Vietnam Era.
