A must buy!
March 5, 2016
I purchased the 12oz size after buying the 17oz ones for my family. I love the compact size, fits perfectly in my cup holder.I received it in the middle of dealing with a cold, and it has kept hot fluids throughout the night. Be cautious: scalding hot tea will stay scalding hot, I recommend tempering the hot fluids by pouring in a little cold water; water will remain the same temperature through the night, easily.Regardless of whether you hold hot or cold liquids inside, the outside temperature will match the room temperature.
and I love them both and use them both every day
December 4, 2015
I have both this Water Vault and the Sports Water Vault, and I love them both and use them both every day. They are both excellent at keeping cold beverages COLD and hot beverages HOT for hours on end, which is fabulous!! I love the matte finish and the cool sleek logo, which I love to show off to everybody. Aside from that, because they do not sweat, I can put my bottles on a wood surface and not worry about a water ring on the furniture, and for that I am grateful. They are also comfortable to the touch. You will not burn or freeze your hands off while holding them. The main difference between the two is the opening. With this water bottle, you have a little more control of the beverage as you sip, but you don't have the smooth lip-shaped design and additional snap shut tab in the lid that you do with the other. I typically use an 8 oz or 16.9 oz plastic water bottle, which I have replaced with these water bottles for safer ingestion as well as the ability to keep the temperature of the beverage the same for as long as the liquid sits. I have made hot tea in them, left and come back hours later and the hot tea is still hot! Ditto with water. I love that feature. You don't even need ice because the water remains as cold as it was when originally filled. I selected the 17 oz bottle to replace the 16.9 oz water bottle and the 20 oz bottle because I liked the design and structure of it. Honestly, both are great and serve their intended purpose. Sometimes I'll put hot tea in one and water in the other and sip from both while I work, and the best part is that they retain their temperature so you don't have to pour out and waste the drink. I can leave them in my car and the beverage will stay hot or cold until I return. Both are great products that I've already recommended to friends who have also since bought. I highly recommend purchasing both products.
I likey!!

I have bought 15 of these so far, both for me, my family and as gifts. Here are my favorite things about the product.-Cold things stay cold and hot things stay hot, for a long time. It is crazy opening one the next day and having ice in it.-Copper lined means no metallic taste. Water tastes like water. I use citris/caffeinated powder in mine.-Very well made, durableI have the sizes from 17oz-1 liter. On second and third purchases I got mostly the 26oz. My wife uses a 17oz, I like the liter one but it gets a bit heavy and I feel a bit weird carrying it around. 26oz is my compromise. The mouth is a little small for full size ice cubes. Easy for us because we have one of those ice makers on the counter that makes the nice little hollow cubes every 7 minutes, those slide right in. If we didn't have that I guess I would probably have to use full size ice in a pitcher till it cooled and melted down to a point. Or live with the cold out of the fridge water.I did buy a brush but for how we are using them, it is not necessary. We don't really do sugary beverages. Every few days I put a bit of soap and warm water in it and shake, then tip it upside down and let it air dry. Boom ready for another cycle.
Um...(blink, blink) is this actually happening?

Update 2/20/2016This is even more impressive than i originally thought. Keeps hot beverages hot, and some days it will be warm the morning after (when i forget). Cold beverages are ok. I'm so happy with the purchase.I thought this was one of those products that people were only giving good reviews for in return of something, so I was skeptical to purchase it. They were so high! I did anyway, it arrived SUPER fast, 2 days faster than I thought. I actually purchased it to keep my beverages cold, but I started with warm lemon water. I left it in a room temp area and forgot about it at 9am. At 4:09pm I came back and took a sip expecting to have to gulp it, but it was still warm! I mean, there was some heat still to it! I'll try something else and we'll see how it takes to something hotter, but to my surprise this was as warm as it was when I poured it in 7 hours later. I'll update it on cold beverages at another time.
Keeps your drink cold FOREVER!

Well, maybe not forever.. But a long time!Got my bottle a couple of weeks ago and am really enjoying it so far.I got the 26 oz variant, which is the perfect size for me.Aesthetically, it looks great!Nice matte black finish with shiny polished aluminium metal on the bottom and cap.Not the biggest fan of the large logo, but it's not a big deal. The build quality is solid, not too light or too heavy. Very sturdy.Cap seals well and is satisfying to open and close. Now, the performance..I filled it up with ice cold water at 10PM, went to sleep a while later, woke up at 10AM, and finished the bottle at around 2PM and the water was still very cold, not even kidding.I haven't tried it with hot liquids yet though.Very impressed with the quality of the vacuum seal.I also got this for health reasons. For the past few years I was refilling plastic water bottles and realized that was very bad. This doesn't have a BPA lining and contains no PET / PETE.Plus you get the added bonus of always having a cold drink at the ready.Love it!

Highly Suggest Getting!!
March 22, 2016
I purchased a 32 oz. hydro flask because I was tired of my other bottles sweating condensation all over the place. I love the bigger size. I also own the 18 oz gearproz hydro flask which I use for shorter trips. Both keep liquid hot or cold all day. These are by far the best bottles. Very durable and they do not leak. Because I love my hydro flask and carry it with me everyday I needed an easier way to carry it.I found the gearproz hydro cord to fit the bill. Wow!! I love this paracord handle. So stylish, I got the pink camo and black one, sturdy, and it is so comfortable in my hand. Perfect for busy people on the go. Just grab it and go and your out the door and it does not get in the way of the multiple other things you are carrying. This paracord handle makes it so easy to handle the bigger hydro flask. I say get it. You will not be disappointed. I'm definitely more healthy and hydrated thanks to these two great products.
Love this bottle!! Recommend getting a straw lid for it, too!
July 22, 2015
I am so so picky about water bottles, and have gone through a LOT of them trying to find something I really like. I've tried plastic, glass, Nalgene, Camelback, Contigo...you name it. There are a lot of features I want in a water bottle (keeps drinks cold/hot, doesn't sweat, easy open/close, won't spill, easy to clean, not noisy to open/close or drink from, etc.), and this one fit the bill!I ordered the straw lid with mine, and am glad I did. I thought I might switch back and forth between the cap it came with and the straw lid, but I have been using the straw lid exclusively.Pros:- Easy to clean (not supposed to put in the dishwasher, but it is very easy to hand wash)- Keeps drinks cold for long periods of time. I haven't tested this a lot, but it is obvious it does very well with this. I had it at an outdoor summer concert, with the sun beating down on it for a few hours. It felt hot to touch, but the water inside still had ice!- Doesn't sweat! At all! This is very important to me because I like to put my water bottle in my purse or backpack sometimes, and I hate to do that if it's sweating. Plus, I don't really want to leave water rings on desks and tables everywhere I go...- Size - I can fill this up in the morning, and depending on what I'm doing, it will last me most of the day.- Durable - I've taken this quite a few places since I bought it, and it has been dropped a few times, and only has very minor cosmetic scratches on it.Straw Lid (definitely recommend adding one):- Easy to clean - this lid is MUCH easier to clean than the Camelback ones- Easy open/close - just lift it with the little plastic tab that sticks out- Quiet open/close - I hate to be the person who keeps making noise with her water bottle in classes or meetings- Loop for carrying - this loop is fine (although a little bit small, so I might order a handle that I've seen other places). I like that it has rubber around the inside so that it's not slippery, and it makes it easy to hold it without fear of dropping it while drinking.- Seems sanitary - One of my big concerns with water bottle lids is whether or not they are covered/protected enough to stay clean. I don't want the part I drink out of to be exposed to everything it might come into contact with. The way this straw folds down into the lid seems very sanitary. I've actually watched whether or not things touch it when I set it down somewhere on its side, and it always seems well-protected by the carrying loop and just the width of the lid. I haven't noticed it coming into contact with anything gross. Also, the rubber on the Camelback straw always seemed to have junk getting stuck on it (ew!), but the rubber on this one is not nearly as sticky feeling, and doesn't ever seem to get anything stuck to it.The one issue I've come across is that it doesn't fit in most cup holders, although I am lucky and one in my car is *just* big enough to fit it. But when I drove my mom's car the other day, I ended up having to lay the bottle on the passenger seat, or sit it between my legs (which is kind of annoying when I'm driving). I did know this was a potential problem before I ordered it, though, and they do have other size options that would fit in a standard cup holder.I also strongly considered the Klean Kanteen, but liked the lid choices better with Hydro Flask, and I'm glad I chose this one. My brother-in-law was just visiting, and he's been using a Klean Kanteen for years, and he seemed a little jealous of my Hydro Flask ;) One benefit he said the Klean Kanteen has over the Hydro Flask is that the lid vacuum seals the bottle every time you close it, but I really don't understand why that's a big deal. I haven't had a problem with my bottle not sealing or insulating, even with the straw lid, which I guess hinders insulation a little bit (but it still keeps my drink cold for a very long time). I'm perfectly ok with not having a "vacuum seal".
Awesome product.

I first bought a Hydro Flask in the 64-oz growler size and liked it so much I bought another in 40 for the times I want something with capacity that is a little easier to pack around. It is perfect for this task. Cold stuff stays cold pretty much forever. Since the 40 oz size is so generous its easy to empty an entire tray of ice cubes into the thing and top off with some water. You will run out of water long before the ice melts which means in-the-field refills at the garden hose wind up being ice cold as well. Can't speak to its ability to keep things hot. If I drink 40 oz of coffee I'm not sure I would survive to write the review. At time of purchase I also purchased the integrated straw lid which is a huge upgrade that is more than worth its measily $7 price. I have one for the growler too and without it you wind up tilting a widemouth jug with 40 or 64 ounces of liquid towards your face. Sooner or later it won't end well. Non issue with the straw. Also get a Juglug ring and mount it down where the original retention ring for the basic lid goes. Makes for a sturdy handle.
Pee-Inducing Hydro Flask also doubles as Self-Defense Weapon
December 1, 2014
Love this bottle. Bought it to encourage myself to drink more water, now I pee 700 times a day.Pros:-Steel seems extremely durable, plastic/rubber cap seems fine.-Haven't experienced leakage, screwing the lid on hand-tight gets the job done.-Retains water temperature very well, at least for a whole day. Cold water stays cold, hot water stays hot, and even lukewarm water stays s***ty and lukewarm.Cons:-Funky smell after a few weeks of usage, but all bottles do that. My solution: fill bottle with boiling hot water, cap it, flip it upside-down and let it sit over night. Works for me and I'm too lazy to use cleaning products (warning: water will still be boiling hot).-Makes a loud ass dinging noise if you drop it; scares the s*** out of people.-Wide opening forces you to use hand-eye coordination to not spill a gallon of water on your own face. (note: 1 gallon may not equate to 40 ounces)Been using it for two months, I highly recommend for customers who would like to pee more and also wield a blunt-force object. I have included a picture of my Hydro Flask next to a Rukia anime figurine for size comparison.
32 oz Hydro Flask Widemouth Bottle Growlette
May 15, 2014
This is great for quenching your thirst on a hot summer day. Or for carrying my hot green tea in the mornings. Due to the vacuum insulation if you pour hot tea into the hydro flask it will still be very hot for most of the day. Hydro Flask claims to keep cold drinks cold for up to 24 hours and hot drinks for up to 12 hours. About a year ago I purchased a 64 ounce Hydro Flask. The first thing that I had to do after getting it was to put it to the test. It was the middle of August so I filled the 64 ounce growler up half way with ice and the rest with water. I locked it up in my car which was parked on the street with no shade. I rolled up all the windows and left it in there all day and night. I came back the next afternoon around 11:30 am and there was still ice and the water was very cold. After that test I became a fan of the Hydro Flask. I now have two of the 64 oz, 1 40 oz, 1 18 oz and now the new 32 oz size. I really feel like this 32 oz size is the best of all of them. It's shorter than the 40 oz and 24 oz versions. The 32 oz fits in the side mesh "Nalgene" pocket of my backpack without being too top heavy and falling out of the side pocket. This iis just a little bit taller than a 32 oz Nalgene Everyday bottle, and close to the same diameter as the Nalgene. The 32 oz version is also known in the craft beer world as the "Growlette". I just like to use it to keep hydrated with cold water during the day. I usually fill it about three to four times a day. I also use the Hydro Flask flip top lid with this sometimes. 32 oz is the perfect size if you want to take it for outdoor activities such as hiking, music festivals, trail walking etc. The new 32 oz size has taken the place of my 40 oz as the one that I take with me everywhere. I highly recommend the 32 Hydro Flask. If I could only get one size it would be the 32 oz as it is the most versatile of all of the sizes that Hydro Flask has to offer.
Love!!!
November 2, 2013
It's not the prettiest so at first I was a bit apprehensive about getting this. But these are my reasons for giving it five stars.1. It's so light weight. Even tho it's huge it's like you're just carrying the weight of the liquid.2. It's huge and I love it. If I just finish drinking all the water in here during my 9hr work day, I've had enough water for the day. (Since I drink water before and after work.)3. Insulates well!!! Once I put hot tea and then put it in the refrigerator overnight just assuming I will have cold tea the next day but when I opened the lid at work, it was still steaming hot.4. Bpa free stainless steel5. Customer service. I broke the lid bc I was always bending it back. I emailed them and they replaced the lid right away. No questions asked.

September 9, 2016
Keeps my water/ice cold for almost 24 hours. I prefer cold/ice water. Ice lasts all day and I can keep refilling it with cold water from the cooler at work. Only issue is that it's kind of a pain to carry around when I take it when I run errands. All of the above still applies, but when I put hot coffee in it for a few hours, it made the cover smell like coffee (permanently). I asked the company to take pity on me and send a new one. They did, but it was for the wrong bottle and it doesn't fit. I know I sent them the link to what bottle I bought. I'm pretty sure they sent me the wrong one intentionally since I wasn't paying for it. Good customer service hidden in Wolves Clothing. Not happy at all.
Go for it
August 28, 2016
almost perfect...and love it. a normal user generally fill the water first and then fit the cap, but should be careful not to fill beyond the neck of the bottle as the cap has interior insulating extension (not sure what exactly to call it) that spills water out if the bottle is full.otherwise, i love the product, has good material and sexy in its looks and light weight. stands firmly. i drink moderately cold water and retain the coldness. I am happy that it has a layer of copper inside which was the reason for buying this and I wouldnt mind if the inner layer is copper than steel too for the benefits copper provides ([...]). would buy again.update: 2 days into it and my wife asks for one more; so does my friend. May be i need some discount coupons now.
Great bottle, great design
February 23, 2016
Love the bottle and get asked where I purchased all the time. Its sleek and the black is a nice professional color to have on my desk. Gave up plastic and went with the WaterVault. Holds a lot of liquid and keeps items cold a VERY long time. Morning ice water is still freezing in the afternoon/evening. I soaked with hot soapy water when I first purchased and it never had the metal taste after that. Great bottle.
Good Bottle (Please Lose the Logo)
December 20, 2015
I wish an insulated bottle didn't cost so much (what's the reason for that, anyway?) but this one is good quality, the black finish is pleasant to the touch and makes it easy to hold. It keeps stuff cold, and should be easy to clean - once I buy an especially skinny bottle brush for it; my regular one won't fit into the neck, another thing that adds to the cost - but otherwise, it's a bottle. With a large logo on it. (Sigh.)
My wife likes it
November 5, 2015
I purchased the water bottle for my wife about 2 months ago. She uses it daily at work, and takes it hiking on the weekends. Some things we have noticed: Pros: It does keep the water cold for a long time. It is a pretty, stylish looking bottle (not that that really matters for a water bottle), with the matte black finish and stainless top and bottom. Cons: It is kind of hard to carry if you are hiking a few miles without a backpack. The great insulating quality makes it a little fat to carry in your hand for a long time; A mesh or drawstring bag would alleviate that problem. Also, the matte black finish will get scratches in it if you are not careful with it. My wife really likes this water bottle, and we would buy it again if we lost this one.
... for my teenage daughter and she has been very pleased with the WaterVault bottle
July 27, 2015
Bought for my teenage daughter and she has been very pleased with the WaterVault bottle. She has taken hot tea top work and even after 4 plus hours she was able to enjoy a hot drink. She has also enjoyed the bottle's ability to keep cold drinks cold also for hours. Top is wide enough to add ice cubes but unfortunately you need a bottle brush to clean since the top is too narrow for a good cleaning with just dishwasher

Great for keeping water cold through long days.
August 13, 2017
I bought the 40 oz almost two years ago just to keep water cool throughout a workday. What ended up working out really well was filling it half with ice and half water (though this caused the seal to misbehave a little) - ice would stay for about 36 hours. The bottle itself is a little bulky, but light. What I really don't like is the cap. When you have 40 oz of ice and water in the bottle, and the bottle is in a regular size bottle pocket of your backpack (rookie move, I know), and you lean over or tilt the bag, the bottle will come out. One time it just dented the bottle (I don't think it affected the seal). The other time the cap just shattered. Ten bones for a new cap later and I'm back in business.
Hot and cold so long
August 11, 2016
Come in this over Yeti or anything else the Hydro Flask is a great water bottle to carry with you everywhere that keeps drinks hot and cold for a very long time I've tested on a hot summer days here in Texas and it keeps my drinks cold the only downfall and why I gave it 4 stars is because the outside still gets very hot but everything inside stays cool and if you drop this with any liquid in it it will dent and paint the chip very easily besides that though it does a great job keeping whatever you want cold or hot for a long time, get this, that's it!
Great water bottle
May 16, 2016
Love this water bottle! It keeps my drinks cold for at least a full day depending on how much ice I use and etc. It is super sturdy and I am never worried about dropping it. I go outdoors a lot to climb or hike and take this everywhere I go.I took away one star because every once in a while, the lid would get stuck. I think it happens when you fill it up to the brim then close it. The next time you try to open it, it would just keep spinning like one of those medicine bottles that you need to push down to open. My trick to opening it when it gets stuck like that is to pull really hard while spinning it. With enough force, it will open with ice and water splashing everywhere while people judge you..Lastly, I like that it is slim and fairly lightweight. Other bottles that are lightweight tend to lose the temperature pretty fast. As a college student, I need my water to be as cold as possible and have it with me everywhere I go. If the bottle were any bigger, it would be hard to carry it around.
Hydro Flask and Yeti Buyer
March 1, 2016
Purchased this along with a Yeti XL Tumbler based on mixed reviews. Figured which ever was better I could give my Wife the other. Mainly bought for lazy days at our pool in Vegas-area and on Lake Mead while boating to keep drinks cold and not have to refill with ice every 10-minutes while enjoying my Jim Beam and Caffeine Free Diet Coke. This does better at keeping the drink colder longer but the trade off is the smaller top opening and the lid which is not easily removable. I do use this more on the boat and for hikes based on easier to fill and transport since it is a screw top lid and I can pre-fill. I like the Yeti around the pool more for easier fill ups and more natural drinking activity (not having to fight the lid to get a pull). this is super sturdy yet light. It is large and my Wife complains about the circumference being too large but great for my larger hand. Do not do hot drinks so no feedback there.
I love my Hydro Flask but
November 4, 2015
I love my Hydro Flask but.....It does keep hot liquid for the stated 6 hours hot. I haven't test it for ice duration but my coworker clam it works for his Hydro Flask. There is two small issue that is preventing it from a 5 stars for me.1) When drinking it directly from the Wide Mouth it has a small hint of rubber smell from the O-ring washer from the cap.2) It should come with a handle such as include in Juglug (or their own brand version) Handle.3) Or... come with a Sleeve as no easily drop the whole bottle and diking the side or bottom. From reading other review it does not seem to be an issue for small dikes but if it was a big dikes can cause vacuum damage to the inner tank to leak and loss the insulated vacuums.4) It is not a true high grade stainless steel as it "will" still slightly sticks to a Neodymium magnet I had from a hard drive that I taken apart.5) Lastly, the duration rating is average too in comparing to other Thermos like brand thermos. We had this Thermos ThermoCafe Vacuum Insulated Large Food and Beverage Bottle, 1.3-Quart from Walmart for around $20ish that holds Hot liquid for 12 hours and cold for 24 hours. If I condition the bottle by "temper" it from the instruction at the bottom of the bottle by pouring hot water in it and pour out after like 5 minutes and then fill it with boiling water it will last over 8 hours when I try to drink it late at work after 8 hours.Recommendation? If you are paying regular retail price I wouldn't recommend it. However, if you got it on sale like I did I don't see why you shouldn't. It much more trendy and in style than carry a big Thermos bottle especially if you are getting a smaller sized Hydro Flask like the 18oz or 21oz that doesn't really require getting it with a handle as the bottle should be small enough to hold it with one hand with out slipping it out. For the larger size bottle like 40oz and bigger I would recommend getting a sleeve for it if you are using it for hiking or light exercise. And the nice lifetime warranty and 5% donation is great too.
Well-insulated, durable bottle
February 18, 2015
Pros:-Very effective insulation-Durable-Easy to cleanCons:- Wide mouth and bottle make drinking challenging for small people We purchased this flask for my husband, who works outside in Southern Georgia and needed cold water available in the heat. He's been very pleased- he had another version of the same bottle, which was excellent at keeping water cold but proved difficult to keep clean due to a narrow neck. With a wide mouth, this bottle solves that problem and is easy to rinse out with a bottle brush or in the dishwasher. It keeps water very, very cold- ice will stay frozen in it after ten or twelve hours in the heat, and the double-walled construction means no sweating even when it's very humid out.I have small hands and a small mouth, and I find both carrying (due to the wide bottle) and drinking (due to the wide mouth) from this bottle a little challenging, but for a larger person like my husband, it's ideal. It's also surprisingly light for its size. We've owned it for eight months and despite heavy use outside and regular machine washing, it still looks good. The enamel coating can chip if you drop it on a rough surface, but overall, very durable. We would definitely purchase again.

November 6, 2016
I just bought the Water Vault. It is true that it does keep the water cold but it feels a bit unstable. I don't know how long it will last. Also the opening is a bit too small. It takes a long time to put in ice cubes. I've used other water bottles, i.e. Under Armour, I was able to fill it with ice cubes in a minute vs about 5-7 minutes with the Water Vault. Also it was advertised that this water bottle will fit most car's cup holder - I find that is impossible especially with the shape.
Doesn't last long
March 7, 2016
Bought this for its no spill and non sweating qualities. It worked great for awhile. We didn't have a problem with the paint or denting but it started leaking after a year. I guess that's pretty good for the price but my daughter just spent money at red bubble for stickers she put on rge and now it's really not useable.
Paint chipped on Day 1
February 9, 2016
I got the neon blue bottle; beautiful shiny color. On my first day of use, the blue paint has already chipped near the mouth of the bottle. I put ice cold water and a couple of ice cubes in it last night, left it in the refrigerator, and then drank from it this afternoon - about 18 hours later. The ice had melted and the water was cold, but not icy cold. It's okay for the use I planned for it; just enough cold water for a one-hour meeting where I did most of the talking and needed to soothe my throat afterwards.
Like that it keeps my water cold throughout the day
December 14, 2015
Like that it keeps my water cold throughout the day; however, it's an odd shape and very slippery. I've already dropped it a couple times so it's dented and scratched. Can't seem to find a holder/case to fit the 1L size either.
Need some improvements.
December 4, 2015
For the most part WaterVault Soda Classic worked as intended. However, it did not meet the expectation with keeping the liquid hot or cold for a long period of time. Moreover, the paint comes off really easily. It would be nice to offer the option without any paint.

I purchased the 40 oz Zen Green Hydro Flask a little over two months ago. I am really enjoying its ability to keep my water at room temperature for as long as it takes me to drink it. I've even taken this into an infrared sauna with me a few times for up to an hour and, although the outside gets almost too hot to touch, the water stays exactly the same. My only complaint is the wide mouth. I need it to be wide to clean, but I spill water on my shirt about every other time I use it. I see that they have flip tops for hot beverages but that doesn't have a loop for carrying, as well as tops with straws, neither of which I want. I want a top with a smaller mouth piece to drink out of, like a free-pouring smaller hole. Perhaps I'll try the hot drink flip top and purchase a carrying case for it. However, that is a lot of money just to get it to where it needs to be, and some very similar products have been on sale two-for-one at Fred Meyer's with the top I want. I can't attest to their function but my friends say they're the same as Hydro Flask, just half the price.Update:After some months of using this bottle, I have retired it sadly. Although it does an extremely good job at keeping liquids cold (it's a hot summer!) I am unable to clean it out due to the design. I can't find anything to stick in there that is long enough and rough enough to clean the bottom while using such a long fulcrum, which really takes away from the force I can use with my hand to try and scrub it. I also replaced the lid with "narrow mouth" top I guess you could call it, since the wide mouth made it so that I poured water on myself a LOT. However, since this company doesn't sell one that specifically goes with this bottle, I went through three, all of which leaked a little. I could have lived with that though if the mouth were bigger so that I could clean it out. As I'm on the road a lot and rarely near an automatic dishwasher, this just isn't practical for me.
Decent water bottle

Very durable, love the sleek design. Taste is great, none of that metallic taste in your mouth like some stainless steel water bottles. And great seal. This size is probably a size larger than I really wanted, especially since I carry this everywhere. It's a bit unwieldy for most of my bags and doesn't fit into any standard bottle/cup holders. Not a comment on design quality, just know what size you want and what you're getting. My only disappointment is that, when filled with hot water, the flask is completely untouchable. I have to carry it by it's plastic lid connecter and even getting a grip to open it is difficult. I thought double-walled, vacuum insulated meant that I would be avoiding this problem. So I basically only use this for room temp water - not worth the high price.
Not worth the price
May 28, 2016
I do love this water bottle in theory but, there are some flaws the longer you keep it it seems. I have had this water bottle for less than a year and the material from inside the cap (where you scree it into bottle) is peeling and sinking down to the water bottle. This is forcing me to change my water about 2 times a day when I really shouldn't have to. I do not put this item in dishwasher and do not forcibly screw the cap on so I am unsure as to why this is Happening. Also, the material can be easily dented, which isn't a huge deal. Also this bottle doesn't keep liquids cold for as long as It should. I fill up the bottle with pure cold water before 7am and by 1pm I need to refil because the water isn't cold; and I work indoors so temperature isn't a problem. Sad to say that I am currently looking for another large water bottle because this was money wasted
It may be great, or just ok, depending on your intended use.

So depending on how you intend to use this water bottle, it could be a 5 star product, or a 2-3 star product. For people who are going to keep this water bottle on a desk all the time, or slip it inside a backpack to carry around, it's probably 5 stars (as my wife does with hers, and absolutely loves it). It does an amazing job of keeping things hot or cold. I've filled it with cold water and a little bit of ice and put the lid on and have there still be ice in it 18 hours later. I put hot coffee in it on a day when I was working outside in -5 degree (Fahrenheit) weather, and the coffee stayed as hot as when i poured it for the 7 hours I was out there, even though I opened the lid regularly to drink from it. In addition, the lid seals tight and has a rubber gasket in it, so as long as the lid is screwed on tight, nothing leaks out of it, even when I have put carbonated beverages in it (this is one of my main frustrations with my Nalgene bottles). Those are the pros. The cons, however, are what may dictate whether you buy it, depending on your intended use. The bottle is not as durable as I expected it to be. The first one I bought fell off a bench at the gym that was no more than 18 inches off the ground, and the lid shattered. Given that this bottle is advertised as something that could be taken hiking, golfing, etc., I expected it to be able to withstand more than a very short fall without breaking (I've dropped my nalgene bottles regularly and repeatedly on concrete and from much higher, without ever shattering a lid). Amazon's customer service was spectacular as always, and shipped me a new bottle the next day. However, even the new bottle doesn't seem very durable. The bottle dents and scratch fairly easily. I commute to school on the train, and clip the bottle to the outside of my bag because there is limited space inside. Within the first couple of weeks, there were several dents on the sides and bottom, and deep scratches in the finish. This is without ever even taking it hiking, where it would likely get bumped into rocks, trees, etc. as a bag was being set down, or what have you. I have a hard time imagining this bottle lasting very long before looking incredibly ugly, potentially not being able to sit upright because of dents, or not insulating as well because of degradation to the double wall from dents. In addition, the fact that the bottle is not dishwasher safe is somewhat inconvenient, especially if you put anything other than water in it (e.g. coffee), as it seems to take multiple hand washings to get any flavors out of it.So, moral of the story, depending on how you intend to use this bottle, it may be great, or it may be just ok...
Ok bottle

This water bottle is a MUST have in any tropical location. Gone are the days of condensation wherever you set your glass. This thing keeps my water cold all day, even if I leave it in my hot car (just gotta use a couple extra ice cubes).Update 21 Jul 2016: We had bought 2 of these and one of them is still going strong and is maintaining its vacuum insulation nicely. The other one ended up being dropped and has now lost it's vacuum insulation which results in condensation on the outside (for cold drinks--we never use hot liquids in there) and a lack of ability to stay cold through out the day. It was only dropped about 1 foot, so it wasn't even like it was dropped off a table or anything like that, but yes it does have a very small dent which disqualifies it from the life time warranty replacement. Yes, it is our fault for this, but regardless I've taken off 2 stars from my original 5 star review. Let me explain why. The price of this bottle has gone up to $52 from the original price of around $20 (on sale) when we bought it. I can say I'd never buy this bottle at that price, UNLESS it was guaranteed NEVER to lose vacuum insulation no matter what happened. Recently we bought a pair of vacuum insuated stainless steel water bottles for less the $35 at costco (brand "takeya") and no kidding they look just like the hydroflask and the same lids fit just fine. They seem to be the same quality without the extreme hefty price. Given all this, I simply can't rate this water bottle higher than a 3 star. If I had bought the two bottles for $52 each, this would be a 1 star review for sure. I just can't in good conscience keep this at a 5 star review knowing how fragile yet very expensive these are.
2 out of 3 defective
September 21, 2014
Didn't keep the cold as promised. I called Hydroflask and they said it was defective and to mail it back. Well, that was another 7 Bucks from Hawaii. Someone said I could've gotten a label from Amazon but it's too late now. What makes things worse is that I got a 21 Oz bottle as a gift and that one doesn't hold the cold either. More $ to mail it back. Nevertheless, so many people I know had good ones so I ordered another 40 to use till my defective 40 comes back. This one seems to be holding the cold.I would advise to find a local retailer that would take it back if it is defective. On another note, I recently received a Lifeline 64 Oz from Amazon and it worked well when I tried it out yesterday. It was a lot cheaper than the Hydro Flask.

Keeps water and ice really cold. But opening is so small you can't put bottle under ice dispenser. Opening is too small ice goes every where.

Ok
September 15, 2016
Keeps the water cold, but it's like carrying a bowling pin. I prefer a wider mouth opening too in order to put ice in it more easily.
Could be better...
February 7, 2016
Keeps liquids cool for a moderate period of time, but dents very, very easily. After five months of handwashing only, the plastic threads inside the cap have split, making it unusable. I expected better for the price.
Not that great, no better than a standard single walled container.
September 28, 2015
This is a nice looking bottle however it barely keeps water cold for 3 hours, even when I put ice in the container. I would recommend a different container.I have tried a few different approaches, put the bottle in the fridge over night, put it in over night with ice in it, put it over night with ice in it and more ice when I take it out. Same thing each time, after 3ish hours liquid is room temp.

Not what it seems!!! Expected better
June 19, 2017
Does not keep cold like the rest of the reviews says it does, not sure if it's the cap or it's a knock off, co worker has one and it's completely different,I can feel the cold through the bottle and can't on my co works, mine also sweat, took to a ball game at 91 degrees and the ice melted within half hour.
DO NOT DROP!
February 24, 2017
I never thought I would give Hydro Flask 2 stars and I am not sure it even deserves that. Having lived in Bend, OR when these first came out, they were all the rage. The high price tag was enough to keep me away for years until I decided to see what these were all about. I went through a few different ones early on and never really had any problems except for losing them. I am not sure what changed, but these things are junk! I have went through 4 separate lids from small drops to the ground and replacements are not cheap! These things are not built to take any kind of drop to the ground, at all. It would really be worth your time and money to look into a big more burly of an alternative. There are so many different options out there now.
Doesn't live up to the hype
November 19, 2016
I wanted to make the switch away from my plastic water bottle and I was sold by the shining reviews of this product. Out of the gate, this thing was great! Kept my water ice cold for over a day even out in the heat! Kept my coffee hot all morning! But the more I used it, the more the flaws became apparent...This thing is heavy but not durable. Drop it once on the pavement or other hard surface and it is permanently and irreparably damaged. Drop it at the wrong angle and the plastic top shatters leaving you with 40 oz of mess to clean up.It is difficult to drink from. Normal ice catchers that fit into most other water bottles do NOT fit in the Hydro Flask, they fall right through the opening. This is problematic as the weight of this thing makes it rather cumbersome to drink from (especially when it's full of ice).Smells linger. I used this to transport my coffee to work twice in the first week I had it and months later it still smells of coffee. It's been hand-washed and run through the dishwasher multiple times to no avail. All in all, I was super excited about this product but after a couple months of use, I'm ready to go back to my old Nalgene bottle. Save yourself some cash and check out the other options out there!
It WAS My Favorite :(
August 19, 2016
This has been my most favorite water/tea bottle for the last year. I use it everyday with either water and fresh lemon, or hot herbal tea. During the last month, the lid has pulled off while I was working to work. That means it made a really large "smash" sound (yes, it got a dent each time), and all my day's water/tea spilled all over the sidewalk. Everyone around me felt sorry for me. I purchased a new lid to see if that would fix the problem, but no- today it snapped off again. The lid simply won't stay on tight. It can be turned and turned and turned and even when it seems like it's tight, I can just pop the top off.Hydroflask says there's a lifetime warranty, but I don't know how to use that. It seems I will have to find a new brand. What a shame.
Over Hyped
July 20, 2015
Hydro Flasks are all the rage, and I'd heard such great things about them that I purchased one when I decided I should retire my Nalgene water bottle. I was very impressed with how well the vacuum insulated bottle kept my water cold, but was not at all pleased to see pitting and corrosion forming on the interior of the stainless liner. Hydro Flask was good about honoring their warranty, and replaced my original after 7 months of use. When I took my bottle to the Post Office to return it, the clerk commented that she saw a lot of those -- and I live in a small town. Unfortunately, the new bottle is exhibiting the same interior corrosion after about 5 months of use. This time, I have received no reply to my warranty claim, submitted on-line, after 10 days. I would not recommend this product.
Nice but broken.
July 20, 2015
The water bottle seems nice and well made. I like the black texture and color. The lid was broken upon arrival. The top mount was broken off. I'll see if they will send a replacement lid with out having to mail the entire bottle back and exchange.

Makes water taste DISGUSTING
August 12, 2017
This is a great product, to be honest. But it has one fatal flaw- it makes the water taste DISGUSTING. I'm not sure why, and I've washed it in different ways dozens of times, but water just always tastes too bad to even consider drinking within an hour or two.

Do not buy this. It will rust on you.
March 31, 2017
Do not buy this. It will rust on you. The company has great marketing and a cool brand. Even I will admit that. But just go look at reviews online. They are having a serious manufacturing problem. There is a seem inside that will always rust. Trust me I've had three of them now and given up entirely. I suggest Kor hydration flasks. They're what I switched to after using this and haven't had a problem yet. Also much easier to clean
I just hate it when you think your getting the real thing ...
February 20, 2017
I think this product must actually be a knock-off of the real thing. I just hate it when you think your getting the real thing and it's actually not. I think Amazon should not allow this. This was a gift and when our son got this for Christmas - he went to buy a different lid for it and when it put it on - it leaked a LOT! Very disappointed since it was a gift for someone else.
great product, bad item sent to me

This flasks are amazing, my only complain is that mine arrived damaged, it looked like it was already used by someone, they should pay more attention when they pack things to be sent

March 27, 2016
I would have really loved it, but it is crooked and it leaks and has since I got it. You can look at the opening, and see that it's not perfectly round. I thought the item had a lifetime warrenty, but the Amazon website says no returns after 1 month. I even bought the carrier for this which is ruined because stuff has leaked all over it; I am very dissapointed. Everyone else I know loves theirs, which is why I gave it 1 star. I would love to return it for 1 that works!
Damaged
February 2, 2016
This item came in with a level of damage that does not happen just by dropping the box. The side was completely dented as if something heavy was on top of it. The box it came in had zero damage and the other 3 that came with it were in perfect shape. I suspect it was damaged prior to shipment.
Perfect for those who apprecite water! ;)
November 20, 2015
Update: Feb:2017 - The top cap didn't last. I filled the water all the way to the top to carry it to the car and the top cap snapped!! poor design cheap plastic. Not happy at all. If Hydro Flask is looking at this updated review, I would suggest sending a new cap. It is out of commission as of now-----------------------------------------------------Hydro Flask, is one that will stick with me for a while, It a great product, somedays I am soo concern with putting a dent in the bottle and the cap does not look like it will hold up :( I also noticed a metal stench in the water.. but that has nothing to do with the product design. overall very satisfied with the product.Watch out for Fake Hydro Flask's make sure to check the bottom of the bottle for trademark, I think it says "Made in Oregon"
