Excellent jack
May 21, 2017
Powerzone 380044 3 Ton jack. I have used this 3 ton jack quite a bit. I have used it under my 2012 Dodge Ram and my 2002 Mustang. I like that it is much lighter than all steel jacks. Of course always use jack stands before getting under any car and use on a stable surface. You do have to follow the instructions to get the air out of the hydraulics before using.

This is really nice very heavy duty -- it can lift my truck and that's all that matters - been using it a lot - came just in time - breaks / water pump ... I like this so much - better than that tiny jack that comes with the truck and safer too easy to put together and take apart .. nice !
Lifts front of a 3/4 ton Dodge Ram with ease!!
November 29, 2016
This jack lifts the whole front end of my 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 Hemi 4x4 without even breaking a sweat! Takes about 7 pumps to get the tires all the way off the ground and the jack holds the weight without lowering at all. I've used this jack at least 20 times since I've had it doing different peoples brakes/shocks/oil changes/etc and it has never let me down! I have not had any leaks, bends or any breakage that I have had on cheaper/smaller jacks. Best of all, this jack is half the weight as my old all steel 3 ton jack that I got tired of carrying around! I recommend this jack to people all the time! With that being said, you should NEVER trust ANY jack by itself!!! Please be smart and use a good set of Jack Stands when doing any kind of work that requires the vehicle to be jacked up!!
Great jack! Lightweight yet durable.

I'd been looking for a quality floor jack for a wholile and was convinced I wanted all steel due to the lifting capacity. I knew I'd prefer the light weight aluminum, but wanted 2.5ton min. This 3 ton hybrid unit is the best of both works. It has an aluminum frame that is light weight, and make use of several cross bolts for strength while having a strong steel lifting arm. The unit is light enough to push around under a vehicle easily, and is rigid enough to handle odd/off angle jacking (ie. Lower control arms) when needed. The handle is a bit cheap (2 pieced bolted together) but does the job especially if you aren't planning to break it down between uses. The jack pad is large and textured for secure lifting on many surfaces. I'd highly recommend the jack for home use. Professionals will likely opt for a more expensive, faster pumping jack, for added time savings.
Great Floor Jack at a Great Price!
July 18, 2015
Like so many others I had been looking for a floor jack and this one had great reviews for the money. Indeed on amazon it is $100 less than many others. I used to have a Walker jack so it was hard to find a comparable replacement without spending $500. This fills the bill nicely. The weight is substantial without it being a problem, around 65 pounds. It worked perfect right out of the box. The only issue I have is the pin that locks the handle is very stiff but will either loosen up or not, either way it works fine. It comes securely packed and well protected. It lifts my truck with no problem and yet fits under my wife's MR2 just fine. The only complaint I have is that it was supposed to take 2 to 4 months to arrive but in reality it was a month. Still a long time to wait but worth it and I would have waited longer, it is that nice of a jack. And yes it is made in china but is of very good quality. The only jack made in the USA that I could find cost almost three times as much. For me, I use it for my personal use on my vehicles but I know it would stand up to commercial work as well. I very highly recommend.
Better than 5 stars...

This jack is a beast. I'd been shopping for a good quality jack since I purchased my project car back in March '12. I knew that it was going to be broken a lot, and as such I needed appropriate tools to keep it tip top. We have a full steel 4ton Power Zone at work, and it handles our Ford F250 diesel with ease, so I immediately started looking into one for myself when the time came. I came across this, and wanted it from the get go. The aluminum components save weight, while still utilizing the heavy stuff to give it a more sturdy, manly feel overall. The jack is low enough to (just) fit to the front lifting point on my project car (3000gt VR4, 1" lowered springs), yet still has plenty of range to jack up my 98 4runner. It's truly versatile, looks great, and is built for a pro. I always add jackstands, but I've never had any questions regarding the holding capability of this jack.If you're in the market for a floor jack, look no further. This isn't a cheap, poorly made knockoff with substandard components. It's tough, reliable, well priced, and versatile. You will not regret adding this to your garage.

Check Hydraulic Oil Level on Arrival
June 17, 2017
Check the hydraulic oil level upon arrival (see instruction manual). Mine was significantly low on oil on arrival. It was not low enough to impair the operation of the jack. But, I just ordered some hydraulic oil so I can top it up ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002JN2ZE ). Other than that, no complaints.

Just got the jack today and have not used it yet. The packaging wasn't torn or anything, as something this heavy usually is manhandled by the delivery company and would show signs of rips or tears but mostly all intact. One thing everyone buying a jack needs to know is that most often the manufacturer doesn't fully fill up the hydraulic oil. A lot of people will get these things new and can't figure out why it's "spongy" or can't handle the rated weight it says it can. Out of the box the jack was low on hydraulic oil which I picked up at Autozone and topped it off. It probably took about a quarter of the bottle. I also bled air out the system which it needed.Everything so far seems to be well built and put together. The only thing is the screws that hold the top cover to expose the oil fill plug seems to be made of a softer metal. I almost stripped one of the screws when I was opening it up to bleed the system and top off the fluid. Otherwise, everything else appears to be good. The wheels don't feel flimsy nor were the nuts and bolts loose and had to be re-tightened. I will update once I use it a bit.
Glad I pulled the trigger

I was on the fence about getting generic one from Harbor Freight (HF) which I've owned before. The biggest reason I got this for almost twice the cost was simply the rate of descent control. If it weren't for that, I would not have purchased it. It's almost identical to HF low profile one. Although about 18lbs lighter.ProsVery nice lookingwell constructedfast pump / liftdescent controlConsI don't like the two piece handle (and how it moves even when connected by the screw)I don't like the thumbscrew to hold the handle in place at the bottom (very tough to turn).Price is a bit highonly one year warrantyOverall, glad I bought it. The box was delivered CRUSHED and I cannot believe the jack was not damaged. And like other reviewers, very LOW on oil. Just plan on buying some as you'll need it.To reduce the play/slop in the two-piece handle, I used large heat shrink to soften/reduce the movement. Much better. Electrical tape would likely work too.Would give 5 stars if above items were considered (better two piece handle, more competitive price, warranty).
Great Features For The Price
June 24, 2011
I was shopping around for a Floor Jack which would provide the weight reduction features of an aluminum jack without the steep price as well as provided a larger lift distance so that I could use on a lifted F150 and a minivan. I noticed this was rated for 3 tons and had aluminum and steel components with a 4" to 18 1/4" range. It was a good compromise in weight and strength and lift capacity. Not as heavy as an all steel 3 ton jack, but not as expensive as an all aluminum model. Reading about aluminum jacks, I found some owners complaining about the aluminum arm breaking with no flex. So I felt that a critical component being steel may bring some piece of mind about this happening. It has a rubber pad so that it does not damage the under-carriage or slip. It has a double plunger to lift quickly, moves with minimal resistance on a concrete floor, and the handles on the sides allow for ease of carry. When I first received it, I noticed that it was missing some fluid and simply filled. Also, the arm movement may get a little harder as you lift a heavier load and the handle is long which could make it difficult to lift when having to really go under a lifted vehicle as the handle motion is limited.Make sure you follow the instructions and purge the air before use. This is my first floor jack purchase beyond a bottle jack. I looked for several weeks before making my decision. For this price and for the features of this floor jack; I have not found a better value yet. Thanks.

Great floor jack. Lift my G35 up in no time.
Comes down fast.
June 11, 2017
Releasing the jack, it's hard to find a nice spot where it comes down slow. It seems to have a very narrow range, that's hard to find, when you're letting the load down.Fairly heavy, if you want to be lifting it around.Had to wipe off the old grease where the handle fits in. There was some grit in it.Handle comes in two parts, with a screw that's meant to thread into the rather thin pipe. I'll be replacing that with a longer bolt and nut.

So far the product works as advertised. I just wish the directions on use were a little more clear. For example the directions say to turn clockwise or counter clockwise when you want to lock the pump to raise or lower it. But it does not say you need to keep turning it in either direction until it stops. So for few minutes I thought the product was defective. But I eventually figured this out on my own. The other thing I did not like is the fact that the product arrive without an extra box covering the original box the product comes in. So everyone sees exactly what was delivered to your house sitting on your doorstep. Good thing I was home on the day it was delivered.
It's Okay
March 21, 2015
This jack has a rubber pad on the lifting area. My earlier jacks had a cup-like thing. I had a adapter that fit the cup that protected the pinch weld where I lift the car. The adapter kinda words but doesn't well with the rubber pad. It's nice that it's lighter but there still must be a lot of steel because it isn't as much lighter as I expected.

good product works and roles great the only issue was the threads for the saddle were not the greatest . I purchased this with a transition adaptor witch required removal of the saddle the alien plug was removed with a 2ft assist bar upon inspecting the threads they were not cut accurately or damaged during the install of the saddle plug from factory at the lower portion of the thread bung it is pitted badly and the top is very thin this is the suggested jack for the transition adapter on the page im not sur if I am going to return it and what weeks for the return or mod it so the saddle can b removed more easily sense I have an older saddle with a R key attachment .

Broke after 2 years of use
February 1, 2016
I've used this jack frequently for about 2 years. In the last week it broke on me. Luckily it didn't happen while I had a vehicle jacked up. I can no longer raise the jack and the black piece the handle connects to is broken and hanging loosely in the jack.Besides that the jack was fine for the 2 years I had it. I'm trying a different brand next time.
Product appears to be in used condition

The product I received appears to be in used condition. The paint is chipped on the wheels and there are dents, scratches, and lots of rust in numerous places. Due to its weight its too much of a hassle to try return or replace.
Problem
August 20, 2015
I was using it a couple of times and I started noticing that it would keep rotating a certain way and it wouldn't stop and with the rotation it wouldn't pump at times... Now that I've tried to use it and rotated it to pump.. It started leaking a liquid and now I can't rotate back and it won't pump .. And now I have my car on one side with a jack stand
Stopped working after just 2 years.
June 21, 2015
Worked great for two years then just as quickly stopped working. Never leaked any fluid or anything, nothing on the exterior is broken, but it simply won't jack up. Acts as if the handle is turned all the way left (valve open) but it is definitely tightened up to the right. Nothing stripped so I am assuming the problem is internal. So while it lasted it was a great and sturdy little jack, but the fact it randomly stopped working one day after just 2 years of light-moderate use is a bit of a bummer.
Lasted for only 2.5 years before failure. Not worth it.
March 31, 2015
I ordered this jack 2.5 years ago, and the other day the jack was no longer able to lift under load. This was due to one of the plungers seizing up. The frame of the jack is pretty nice, but the hydraulic pump is complete junk. If you take the cover plate off to view the pump, you can see that is a very cheaply made apparatus. For the 2.5 years that the jack worked, it worked fairly well, however one of the steel wheels rusted and froze up on me, but it was still functional. It was frustrating that the jack failed so soon, especially when I was about to do a brake job.Because of the short service life, I will not order it again, nor can I recommend it, as I am disappointed in this purchase. I am now going to try my luck on the all aluminum Acran 3 ton jack. I hope to get at least 5 years out of it before having to bite the bullet again on another expensive, but necessary floor jack. It's too bad that quality floor jacks no longer exist.
Poor fit and finish
March 31, 2014
The jack handle attaches to the jack with a pointed bolt that is suppose to engage a groove on the jack. That way the handle can freely turn, but you can still pull the jack out from under your car. On mine, the bolt would not screw in all the way and the pointed end of the bolt would not engage the groove on the jack so the handle would just pull out. While tightening it down with a pair of pliers, the bolt sheared off and the bolt still hadn't engage the groove on the jack. I probably need to drill it out and retap the jack handle to fix it.

Great paperweight.
October 2, 2017
Best 60 pounds of paperweight I ever bought. Scared of having those papers fly away? Have no fear! This beautiful jack's hydraulic system is complete garbage. It leaks and the does not want to lift, letting you use its full potential as a paperweight. 5 stars for paperweight material, -100 stars for being a useless jack.

Bolt failure while jacking up 3,400 lb car
September 10, 2015
This jack worked perfectly for the 3 times I used it prior to this incident.I went to use it to change my oil this time and it started getting very difficult to jack my car(3,400 lbs) up any higher to get it on the stands. I saw that one of the bolts was backing it's way out of the end of the jack.I quickly, but thankfully safely lowered my car and realized that one of the bolts just snapped right in half. The bolt doesn't look like it's very high quality, but I'm glad the jack still held.Bought this jack because of the reviews, but I'm disappointed. Especially considering it's been near impossible to find a manufacturer to email about just getting a single replacement bolt. All in all. Great jack. Scary that my car could have potentially fallen down from this bolt failure. Disappointed that it's near impossible to find a replacement.
