I dont know why I waited so long, but when I saw the deal, I jumped on it. I've been going nail crazy ever since - fixing the slats on my fence, building a couple of projects. It took me a few minutes to get used to just how powerful this is - if you crank up the pressure it will drive a nail through nearly 2 inches of hard wood. Once I backed it off about 50%, it was great. Highly recommend!

I purchased a house that needed to be remodeled and i started with flooring. I had to replace baseboards in the entire house, it was suggested by a friend that i buy a compressor and finish gun. Since i dont really use a compressor often I wanted a fairly cheap model that will get me through the project. Dang! after setting the dept I was nailing baseboards down like a mad man, it was so fast and easy it was worth its weight in gold. I even found that I kept using it to assist in other projects around the house like using this to temporarily hang doors while i fasten them properly, same with trim around windows. It lasted the project and still works to this day. The only complaint that i have is even though this thing is small, it is very loud but I will not reduce a star because it performed beyond my expectations.

So happy with my nailer. This was a great buy and works great too. Just finished building a built in bookcase and putting quarter round all around room to trim out new floors. What a lifesaver it is and can't wait to use again in the next room.

Compressor is solid and certainly lighter than pancakes from even 5 years ago. Not quiet, but runs smoothly. The included hose is good quality, but is very rigid and would be tiresome or impossible to use in tight spaces.

The nail gun is typical Porter Cable quality. I was pleasantly surprised that the magazine was all metal, different than the slightly higher end PC guns that sell individually with more plastic parts. There is no case included, FYI. The gun performed well, trimming out a room and buttoning up the perimeter of an oak floor.

The compressor and the nailer work nicely. The reason I gave 4 stars is the user manuals are not user friendly. However Youtube has many videos telling you how to use the compressor and nailer

set it up this weekend.when I got it I opened it up to make sure it wasn't damaged in shipping, it wasn't, so made sure gun, and other accessories were there, they were took out instructions to review and would play later.
first it isn't deafening, on par with a table saw.the instructions are a joke , take the words hazard and warning out and all that would be left is on off switch.ran great played with regulator got nail depth right pretty straight forward.
I took star off for instructions just crappy, and the air hose. when I opened the box there was a uncured rubber odor, I figured it would disipate in a day , I smoke so for me to smell it , it was strong.after about a week the odor cleared.
so as far as I am concerned great value, decent nail gun.
one more thing buy a small air tool oil for nailer

No complaints. Had to buy an accessory kit for other uses but it works well for driving nails.

So far it works flawlessly. Very pleased.

I purchased this compressor from home depot with the finish nailer, brad nailer, crown stapler and hose. It worked well for the first year when I used it minimally. However, it developed a number of issues shortly thereafter:1. Regulator issues (after lending it to my neighbor to pump up a tire he screwed the regulator all the way to zero before returning it to me). I tried contacting Porter Cable and they never got back to me despite repeated attempts. Never turn the regulated pressure to zero -fyi- it took a long time to get the regulated pressure to come up off of zero, and it's never worked quite rite ever since.2. Auto shutoff stopped working: while I was running it at the start of the day it was pumping up to pressure and it just kept on going past the normal auto shutoff until the safety pressure relief valve opened to relieve back to a safe pressure for the vessel.3. Internal slow leak. Compounding issue #2. is a slow internal leak that I can hear and see lowering the pressure steadily. I now have to shut the compressor off at the prior auto shutoff pressure and then go back and activate it if I run the pressure below what's needed to operate the tool I'm running, or if the slow leak drains the pressure while I'm working. Very frustrating. However - if not for those issues, it has worked for the various projects I've used it for and I would've given it four stars if Porter Cable had provided better (any) customer service!

Compressor works fine. No problems. The sailor that comes with was great untiil the 2nd load then jammed. Porter Cable warranty gave a 40 mile drrive to warranty repair. The repair guy told me a stuck nail wasn't covered by warranty and it would cost $30 to repair. Great. Thank u very much Porter. Don't buy the nail gun. There is no way to fix a stuck nail on your own. I will never buy PORTER PRODUCT BECAUSE OF THIS CHEAT.

Incomplete, discription and box says there should be a box of nails included, there was no staples anywhere in box, thanks China.

Piece of crap. Regulator gauge/valve quit working the second day I tried to use it. After less than 100 brads. Cannot begin to tell you how disappointed I am... edited to add: OK, regulator is working. You have to turn it really far too the right (I mean for DAYS) before it engages. Extremely difficult to zero in on a target range. Very slow to adjust regulator pressure. At one point, I was up to 120psi, and should've been in the 70-100 range. Adjust down just a little, and suddenly, five brads later, zero pressure. Very hard to dial in....

Had to return it because the nails went completely through the wall paneling and into the studs. None of the nail was left out to hold the panel on the wall. I called Porter and Cable, who gave me 3 possible solutions. We tried all three solutions : We lowered the air pressure to minimum. We turned the adjustment knob all the way one way and tested it, then we turned the adjustment knob all the way the other way and tested it . We bought maximum length nails (2.5 inches). We tried all solutions together, and still the nails went completely through the quarter inch paneling and disappeared into the wood studs. I called Porter and Cable again and was told to take the unit to a service center. We decided to just return it. Thank God for Amazon's liberal return policy.

Arrived damaged in an undamaged box. I tested this unit immediately to determine if the damage was only cosmetic (regulator gauges were bent off center). Unit had a heavy air leak and would not build pressure. Returned for credit, I'll get something else.

I received this compressor kit via ups today, was really excited to use it, opened it up and turned it on to test it only to find there was a leak. I thought this can't be right I must have done something wrong. I could feel where the air was coming from and it was the threads of the pressure gauge. I though Oh easy fix I'll just screw it in all the way. Took the plastic faceplate off go to hand tighten the gauge and what happens..... It snaps right off with the littlest touch....cheap plastic.... Return!
