Price was the main factor
March 17, 2017
Price was the main factor on this purchase decision. I wanted the cheapest camera bag I could find for my cheap camcorder and this was 1/3 the price of the popular name brand. It won't win any awards for design - it's a rectangular bag with padding. It is rugged and the padding is ample for delicate electronics. The inner dividers are removable and the tops fold down to cradle a DSLR with lens with space on both side for (small) spare lenses (for the medium size bag). There are pockets for flat things like memory cards.I wanted something to hold the camcorder, spare batteries, charger, and microphone. The medium bag holds everything with lots of room left over. The lack of a popular name brand acts as theft deterrent telling a potential thief that the contents are as cheap as the bag it came in. You can't go wrong with this one for a single DSLR. Move up to the large bag if you have more than just 1 or 2 spare lenses.
Perfect Grab and Go bag!
January 31, 2016
This is my "go bag". I have larger "Professional" bag that I used to dread taking on a ad hoc photo seeking trip to WDW or the beach/wetlands. This bag has just enough room for my Nikon D7100 (with vertical grip mounted), two lenses 18-70 (mounted) & 70-300, my SB800 flash a few extra batteries and memory cards. Enough to "make do".I have not had the bag long enough to judge the material quality. It appears to be as good and the $200 pro bag I have, but time will tell and I will update this review accordingly.I did not get hung up on the notation that it is a large bag. I'm smart enough to see the general size and I read reviews that gave the dimensions. This bag makes it easier for me to grab and go. That was my goal... you don't always need a 3rd, 4th or 5th lens or your light meter or your...
Awesome bag! Stop reading and just go buy it.
December 20, 2014
Awesome bag! As you can see in the image, it's holding my Canon 70D fitted with a 18-135 lens and filter+hood, and also another Canon 70-300 USM lens, and a 50 mm f/1.8 lens (I can stack up more on top of the 50mm like another 85 mm or 40mm pancake if needed. There's also my oversized Pixel Mago flash with diffuser and also my Sony PJ820 Handycam. On the side pockets, it's holding the battery charger, all of the batteries and cleaning kit. In the pockets are filters, spare memory cards, cables, etc. As you can see, the bag is slightly stressed but once closed (pic 3), it works smoothly and protects everything nicely. My tripod/monopod can hook up to it as well although I like to keep that separately. I love the fact that it can hold so much. I especially love the fact that the whole strap can go cross shoulder for my size (since I am relatively huge guy). Overall, Love this bag and will keep an eye on a MkII version of this.
Awesome bag
June 23, 2014
In the main compartment I have my Canon SL1 with the 55-250 lens on. I also have my Canon 18-55 lens, my Tamron 18-270 lens, my Panasonic HDC camcorder and my Canon 430EX II flash in its case. Everything fits in there very comfortably and securely. I still have a large pocket in the back of the main section where I have 2 camera lens covers, a microfiber cloth and a UV filter. In one of the side pockets I have two extra Vivitar batteries and a charger with a car charger (2 Pack) LP-E12 Battery and Charger Kit for for CANON REBEL SL1, EOS M, 100D - Includes: 2 Vivitar Ultra High Capacity Rechargeable 1275mAh Li-ion Batteries + AC/DC Vivitar Rapid Travel Charger + Cleaning Kit + MagicFiber Microfiber Lens Cleaning Cloth . I still have another side pocket that I haven't even used. It is comfortable to carry and at only $20 this case deserves 10 stars. With the exception of not having an all weather cover, this case is perfect......
Spacious
February 16, 2014
I bought this camera bag to house my Nikon D5200 because a prior Case Logic bag I bought wasn't big enough (it was still quite nice, but just too small). Here are my pros and cons.Pros1. Spacious. It fits the camera, lens, cables, battery, and battery charger all in the main compartment. I have the manual in the front pocket and there are still 2 empty pockets for me to place other things.2. Looks nice. The orange interior makes finding things easier (a black interior would make literally everything blend in) and the exterior is well made.3. The main compartment has 2 straps, velcro, and a zipper. I feel like my stuff is safe.4. I haven't seen any of the issues with straps that others have mentioned. Not calling them liars or anything, but maybe theirs should've been exchanged for one without those problems.5. Comes with a second strap that's attached to the sides if you prefer to use that rather than the handle that's already there.6. The main compartment is customizable. You can remove the dividers and place them where you want. I liked this a lot because it lets me space out the inside how I like.Cons1. The main compartment takes a minute to get into. If you're forgetful like I am and have to get into the main compartment over and over again to get stuff you forget, this can get tedious.2. You have to attach the straps to carry this bag by the handle. However, Pro #5 kind of cancels this out.Overall, if you're buying a DSLR and you don't have a billion lenses, this is a great purchase. Multiple ways to carry it, lots of space, nice colors and build quality. AmazonBasics is becoming more and more awesome and I'm glad I got this bag. I'd recommend it to anyone who has a camera, a couple of lenses, and a need for some extra space.
Perfect Bag for My Micro 4/3rd System Camera
August 22, 2013
I just converted from my old dinosaur DSLR equipment and the huge bag it takes to hold everything to a DLSM (mirrorless) micro 4/3rds system. Since I no longer need a huge bag to haul my new system, I tried two other bags...then, I found this bag. I am not kidding, this bag is absolutely perfect. It holds my Panasonic Lumix G series body with a pancake lens, two Lumix power zoom lenses, filters and has just enough room left for another small camera like a superzoom. It is extremely well padded with adjustable compartments. There is plenty of secure extra storage for a phone, extra batteries, charger, etc. There is even a padded place for an iPad. The bag is easy to open with one hand and sits flat on it's bottom. It is perfect for the car. It sits well out of sight on the floorboard and when I need it, I can put it in the passenger seat and access everything I need without it slipping or sliding around like larger bags tend to do. If you want a top quality, incognito, camera bag look no further. Amazon hit a home run with this one.UPDATE: I have had the bag several months now and it still impresses me. There is nothing I would change about this "five star" bag.UPDATE: June 2015. Bag is holding up like a champ. No wear, nothing broken and hauling FIVE lenses and a camera body.

Could be perfect with only a couple small improvements.
October 19, 2017
Pros: The outer shell is well stitched durable fabric. I like the carrying handle and the way the lid opens with the release of two buckles. It is a perfect sized bag to carry a DSLR and a few accessories, plus a few personal items. It is very nice looking and has a versatile complement of pockets. It is lightweight, rugged, and has good padding to protect items carried in it. A couple of straps for carrying a tripod are a nice touch.Cons: I'd purchased the AmazonBasics camera backpack, and was impressed. This isn't as nicely designed. The interior fabric is loose and saggy, making fitting of the velcro inserts awkward. The interior adjustable dividers don't offer good support for a camera body with a lens attached. The shoulder strap padding is horrible. It is stiff and doesn't conform to fit the body at all; I have removed it and will throw it away. There are actually two lids, an inner one that closes with a zipper, and an outer one that closes with buckles. The inner and outer lids are connected to one another with two velcro patches. This is a little odd, making the lid really thick and a bit in the way to retrieve a camera while the bag is slung across the chest. Conclusion: A nice well build bag for the money, but suffering from a couple minor design issues.
Great bag except for the squeaks!
July 15, 2017
I'd probably give it 3 stars if it was an expensive bag, but since it was only $16.00 that earns it another star. It's actually well thought out. It has lots of usefull pockets in the right places. It stands up right when it's loaded down.So why only 4 stars you ask? It squeaks.... A LOT! The plastic that the strap clips and bag loops are made squeak when rubbed against each other. It's loud. Loud enough anyone around you can hear it and wonders "what's that sound." As if that weren't bad enough, the shoulder padding amplifies the sound. At first I thought it was the shoulder pad, so I slid it down out of the way. The sound continued, but was not nearly as audible. It is sure annoying to me, but for $16, I'll deal with it. I must say though, if this was a $40+ bag it would only get 2 or 3 stars because the squeak.I put some dry lube on the clips and the clip swivels. The sounds is a lot less, but it is still there. If it drives me too batty I can swap out the strap with a different bag.SIZE: I have the medium. Its a great fit for my Panasonic G85 with a lens on, an extra lens or two and a flash. It holds my 8" tablet too. This bag is a perfect size between 2 other bags I have. One was too big, one too small, this one is just right.
Decent camera bag for the price
November 26, 2016
Pretty decent camera bag for a DSLR and one or two smaller lenses. It is not as roomy as the large Canon bag, but it is quite a bit less expensive. No complaints about the construction quality so far, although I am not expecting it to last forever. :-) I like the side pockets for accessories, and there are nice pockets in front and under the top that are pretty roomy. Although it says "large", that is a relative term. Don't be scared off thinking that it's gong to be huge. It should be fine for most people unless you just have a small pocket camera or DSLR with one kit lens. I would always get a larger bag than you think you'll need because you'll always find a use for the extra space.
Good But Not Great (Great Price Though)
October 24, 2016
I do like the product but I don't love it. It is a good size for my D7200 and lenses. The overhang on the lid gives me confidence that it will keep out the elements and the buckles and zippers are perfectly fine. The only real criticism I have is that the bottom cushioning is lacking. If it were doubled, I would probably give the product a 5. Another more negligible (personally) quip I have is that the tripod holder doesn't allow for much of a tripod at all. The diameter is just not sufficient so it would have to partially attach without much security so the loops are just unsightly and unnecessary.
Great bag
October 24, 2016
Although it is large, it is not as large as some other bags out there so you are limited in what you can carry but overall a very nice bag. I have taken it with me around the world several times and it has done it's job well. I'm an airline pilot and always have my camera and a couple lenses with me while flying. the top opening makes it really easy to access the camera. I leave it ready with one lens attached and as soon as I see something interesting, I just pop open the top and the camera is ready to go. This saves a lot of times since we can only see airplanes a few miles away in flight and coming head on, you only have a few seconds to get ready for a photograph. For that purpose, this bag is amazing. It holds my DSLR, a 18-55mm lens and a 70-300mm lens, my ipad mini,an ipod, my mini logbook and some cables with room to spare. I have not used the shoulder strap yet because I use the regular handle and hook it up to my flight bag which has a U shaped hook. Overall I am very happy with this bag and it has stood lots of abuse and even rain and it still looks new and kept my equipment dry, although it is not rainproof.
Very good bag
March 23, 2016
When I first got the bag I didn't have that much in my kit and the bag seemed huge, but now my kit has outgrown the bag. I still have room for everything I need, camera with the kit lens attached, nd filters, battery, charger, my 70 to 300mm lens, speed light, manuals and other small items. There is even a pocket that fits my 9.6" Galaxy Tab E without the case but still, pretty awesome. The bag has a lot of pockets to store items also which is nice. The only thing I don't like is the squeaking sound the clasp on the strap makes when walking. I deducted a star for that and the fact that bag is kinda tedious to get in unless you leave it unzipped if you're going to be in and out constantly them you won't have to worry about the Velcro and unzipping and opening the straps. That's nit-picky stuff, I know. It's still a great little bag.

Not Sexy looking, but very capable for the job.
March 12, 2017
Large bag, fits my GH2, 14-140 and 60mm macro. Body with 25 mm on it, could also take the 14-140 on body while storing. Good padding. Deep enough for camera body and lens. Clips look strong and so did the strap. Have not taken it outside yet, but all my gear is one place. Straps to store/hang the tripod on the outer. Looks big, not much style, but looks well built and sure to protect the equipment. Lots of space on the top flap or out pocket for lends hood, caps, filter, eye cups, SD cards, blower and brush. Upgraded from a TENBA after 13 years of heavy use.Tried to fit two bodies with medium lenses and one extra 25mm, found enough space if I wanted to take still Olympus e620 and and Video GH2 bodies, but not too many lenses
I'm a little disappointed in this bag (perhaps due to my faults)
February 28, 2017
I'm a little disappointed in this bag (perhaps due to my faults). I spent a long time reading reviews about camera bags to pick one out that was reasonably priced with good reviews. I finally settled on this bag, as the reviews lead me to believe it would be large brought for what I need..... well it didn't work out that way.The bag seems well made (we'll see how it holds up), but it barely fit my 6D in it, forget anything else. I really wanted one that would comfortably fit my camera with the grip, lens and flash. Maybe my extra 50MM, but I could live without that.I needed a second bag so I could have one for each of my cameras so I'm keeping it anyway - but I'll likely be back to looking for a larger backpack style, I guess.
Not for me
December 20, 2016
Can't complain really since the bag didn't even cost 20 bucks and for that price it's a decent deal. Shoulder strap clasps are made of plastic so I wouldn't trust these with an expensive camera. The inside has 2 velcro pad dividers that no matter how I move them don't really give compartment space in the right size to carry my camera and any accessories. I'll keep the bag and just use it for overflow storage and look elsewhere for a bag that fits right. I guess this is one of the biggest problems when ordering something like this online although Amazon makes returns easy. To sum it up for the cost of the bag it's a decent deal it just doesn't fit my needs
 Awesome Orange Liner, But Bulky
October 4, 2016
One of the greatest strengths of this bag is that it has an inner orange liner that helps users easily see their gear when opened. A lot of other bags in the market are made of black fabric outside, and black fabric on the inside, which makes it almost impossible to find camera gear and accessories since most of that stuff is black, so it kind of just blends in together.I'd say that the weaknesses of this bag just come from the traditional design. It's a bit bulky and once you have your gear in it, a bit annoying to bring around with you while you're on a photoshoot of some sort. However, if you're a casual/amateur photographer and don't carry a lot of equipment, then this bag might be just fine for you. As a photographer that needs a versatile, minimalistic, and lightweight bag, I just couldn't justify this purchase. So I ended up returning it.
Good bag; terrible strap/shoulder pad, but finally fixed!
June 8, 2015
I like this bag except for the strap. Bag – 4 stars; strap – 1 star.Pros:• The bag inside is large and roomy. Without the camera body, the bag can hold five lenses of different sizes.• The slot for a tablet is very functional and a significant reason purchased.• The dividers are thick and provide excellent padding.Cons:• The shoulder strap and pad are terrible. They curl up under the load of the bag instead of lying flat. This causes the weight of the bag to be concentrated in a narrow area of the shoulder instead of being distributed across the width of the strap and pad. It is uncomfortable to carry.• I can also confirm that the bag does squeak as reported in other reviews. This is a result of plastic rubbing against plastic as opposed to metal connectors being used on the bag and strap, but it is only a minor annoyance.• The mesh in the lid of the bag is delicate and easily tears.Bottom line: I'll either return the bag or find a different strap to use with it.Update (6/21/15): I've resolved the strap and pad issue - they curl up under a fully loaded bag. I cut a section from an old leather belt, 1-1/2" wide and placed it inside the pad under the strap. This provides some needed stiffness to the pad without interfering with the cushion. My wife then put in a few stitches to keep the leather from sliding out. It now feels like a normal strap and pad. A lot of trouble? Yes, but I really like the bag.
Not the best out there
November 28, 2013
After trying several camera bags offered by Amazon, including this and:- Lowepro Beltpack ($70): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0016J7V7E/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B0016J7V7E&linkCode=as2&tag=todmedblo-20- Dolica shoulder bag ($35): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001MYL1C4/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B001MYL1C4&linkCode=as2&tag=todmedblo-20I've determined that this bag, while inexpensive, is not the best out there. For a mere $10 more, you can get the above Dolica shoulder bag, which replaces the (obnoxiously) squeaky plastic hinges with high quality metal hinges. They're both basically the same size (though the Dolica seems to hold a little more) - but, if you want a camera bag that'll last, I highly recommend going for the Dolica instead!

Ungodly squeaky noise.. had to return
September 12, 2017
Good bag, solid quality for the price. However, like some reviews have said, the shoulder strap makes an UNGODLY squeaking noise. I had to return it because I couldn't stand it. The strap is virtually unusable... every step you take with it lets out such a terrible noise.I walked around the city with it yesterday and every person I walked by stared at me in awe. I felt like I was in that episode of spongebob with the squeaky boots.
it squeaks nonstop
August 20, 2017
I just purchased and tested out this bag at a photo shoot today. Loved the size, storage, easy access and organization of the bag. However, the strap is awful. If you're small and need the strap to remain short, it sits in an awkward spot on your shoulder so it's just barely or not at all padded. Where the strap connects with the bag squeaks anytime you move. Literally just shifting your body slightly will make the thing start creaking, which gets super irritating.
Large is subjective
March 27, 2017
Large is subjective.I would not call this a large bag. I needed something to hold a D3s, couple of lenses, and a flash, plus some accessories.Saw the word "large" in it's description, thought I'd give it a go for the price. This is not the bag for such gear. However, if you have smaller hardware, it may just well work for you
if you are a beginner photographer — it's a great bag for the price
December 20, 2015
Well, if you are a beginner photographer — it's a great bag for the price. But I've been a photographer 10 years and I had, like, 15 different bags and backpacks. This one is the most flimsy and uncomfortable I've seen. It's just the materials, and how it is hard to open, and how the handle is inconveniently placed, and how... I can go on and on.It still is, as I said, a great deal, for the price you get a convenient bag with all those pockets and dividers and such.Recommend, if you're a beginner, or just want a bag and on a tight budget.Don't recommend, if you're a pro photographer with expensive lenses
SQUEAKY!
November 23, 2015
Upon receiving this bag I was very impressed with the quality of the item, however, upon use it's extremely annoying.I like to carry a wide array of gear when I shoot so I am able to maximize my options; this bag seemed to fit the bill. The bag fits all the gear I need, but with one big flaw. The strap squeaks at the connection points like a cracked out field mouse. Every step I take makes the straps squeak. My only fix is holding the strap connections while I walk. Sounds fun, right? Save yourself the headache, or ruined nature shot, and buy a bag with better straps.

March 22, 2015
Good construction and made of very nice materials but very small for a D7000 with battery grip and a sigma 24-70. I had to take the grip away in order to fit in the bag... Its more dedicated to camera with kit lenses .

The bag came broken out of the box. Haven't had any problems with Amazon basic but this one is a bad deal.
Beware, bag described as large is anything but!
August 4, 2017
Very disappointed in this bag. I ordered a large since as a diabetic I need to carry extra supplies as well as my photo equipment. The bag is quite small for the camera equipment I have. Beware this bag is not at all large. I will have to send this bag back.... very disappointed.
Don't bother buying it

Way smaller then you expect. "Large" isn't even close. Then you have to pay $7 just to return it. Ripoff.
