Perfect stands
December 3, 2016
For the price ROCKVILLE ROCKS good quility steardy stands n it comes with a bag what more can youbask for mahalo
Much better than I expected.
September 3, 2016
I was expecting something cheep and flimsy when I ordered. I have a small 120 watt 2 speaker PA system for my turntables and I just needed something to get my PA speakers off the ground in my room. But when these arrived, I was impressed. They aren't playing around. They have some heft to them but that's because they are almost entirely metal. They feel sturdy and are easy to set up. Be warned through, they aren't short. The lowest you will likely mount your speakers with these is about chest high, but they can be adjusted upward and tower over you if you need them to.
Great Stands, Great Price
July 8, 2016
I use these for a pair of EV Eliminators (single 15'"/horn) and they have been awesome. I must add that they don't ever travel or get broken down and set back up, so I can't speak to how well they would do in touring or production environment, but they are well constructed and support the EV's just fine. For the price, you can't really beat them. I do have a feeling if you were wanting these for heavy use, you should probably spend more $$ and get some really heavy duty stands for heavy speaker enclosures because "you gotta spend money to make money" IMHO ;)
Great stands!
March 18, 2016
Good quality for private use, great price. I use these for a small PA system with 10" speakers I bought from Monoprice, and these stands were cheaper (and better) than anything they had. Very pleased with the quality/value ratio of these stands...recommended.
Exceeded expectations
January 5, 2016
I used these a few times for backyard parties. They're not as hardcore sturdy as the more expensive ones, but they get the job done. For the price, I got exactly what I had expected, in fact, it exceeded my expectations. Be careful in windy conditions with a heavy speaker, but that's a no brainer. Yes the bag is made of thin material, but as long as you don't drag it around all over the place, I'm sure it'll last a while.
Top Notch
June 19, 2014
I have gone through many of different speaker stands as a mobile DJ over the years.I just got these in the mail today. I can already tell that these should outlast the others.I say this because other speaker stands have only plastic where the three legs join, this one is made of metalThere is no need to ratached down hard on the pole to set the stands, I would advise against it so it doesn't leave an impression on your pole. Now for the pole you place your speaker on. This is great! The safety latch automatically engages, No need for sloppy or cumbersome safety pins/bars for this stand. It automatically engages the safety and then you tighten it and you are set. While the Air assist is a nice feature, I am not a little guy so the weight of letting down a speaker is no big deal to me, but it is a nice feature. It works like a dream slowly lowering your speaker down. These Stands are worth the 56.99 frankly and it comes with a free carrying case which is built quite well, it has two sets of straps in the carrying case to secure the top of the stand and the base, with a nylon divider in between the two sections to keep your stands looking Sharp and new like you just bought them for every event. Something I know other speaker stand bags just do not have.I will be buying 10 more sets of these to keep in the warehouse and issue them out to our DJ's for light - medium weight speakers.**** Speaker weight for these is only 80lbs***** not 100lbs btw

I love it it's supported my primary speaker with excellent balance and support thank you amazon you have done it again
... speaker shoots up to quickly and is not so easy lowering, this was made for a heavier speaker
July 24, 2017
Solid for the Money but you can't adjust the pressure so my small Powerwerks PW100 speaker shoots up to quickly and is not so easy lowering, this was made for a heavier speaker.
Great stands for the price… Nylon carry case is terrible though
April 29, 2017
Stands are great, carry case is horrible. The stands fit my needs perfectly, they are affordable and perfect for my fender passport PA. However the nylon carry case that they came with literally tore open the first time I used it. If anyone from the company is reading these reviews, I would very much like to get a replacement bag ASAP. I do recommend the stands however. They're fantastic especially for the price. The carry case however is substandard.
Good value for the money, they're good basic stands.
June 11, 2016
Cheap stands and cheap bag, but honestly they work....So far these stands have held up well. The carrying bag, not so much. After about 6 months the zipper broke, and from there it's just been downhill with seams tearing etc. It still works, just not pretty, and not a whole lot better than no bag....The stands themselves have fairly small footprints when expanded, so they aren't as stable as some larger stands, but so far it hasn't been an issue. I use these more with 10" speakers rather than larger 15". I have used them with 15" speakers a number of times, and they've been fine, but I've had to be a bit more careful with leg orientation with the 15"s.The stands have yet to have anything on them break, all the hardware has stayed attached, and the rubber feet miraculously stay on (not sure how that happens based on all my previous stands...) These are a good value for some basic speaker stands. There is a lot of plastic on them, but it seems pretty robust (had some other stands crack the plastic parts after dropping them, these have survived).
Stands are nice... Bag is cheap.
June 2, 2016
So far so good on the stands... However, the bag is cheaply made. I don't expect the bag to hold up for long and its already tearing at a seam.
Sturdy stands
December 15, 2012
Very sturdy, although I would have liked them to be a bit more adjustable. The included case was a welcome addition, and made transporting the stands easier. The stands did not seem to go as low as I would have preferred in some scenarios, but definitely went high enough to project sound. You can do a lot worse for this kind of money.

Pretty lightweight but ok.
December 7, 2016
These are really light weight. Great for K10's or about that size. Don't even think about a KW 153 or so. Ok for the money if you need something smaller.
Great for a ingle set up
November 3, 2016
You get what you pay for. Great for a ingle set up, like for in a music room, but wouldn't use them on gigs. Too cheap, and would wear out quickly.

August 4, 2016
Took a chance on these, and they are marginal at best. There is no way the clamping mech will hold the sliding poles tight, even with the clamp tightened until it bottoms out. This isn't a problem with the upper section with the pin in place, but the lower section clamp will slide based on how what type of floor your are setting on and how heavy the speaker is. Having said that, for the few times a year these will be used, for the price, they are ok.
light duty, cheap price
February 14, 2016
These arrived quickly, bought two sets because the price was right. However they are definitely not "heavy duty." These struggle to hold up typical large speakers like the Mackie 450, or EV ZLX15Ps, because the tri-pod base is narrow, and the materials used in construction are flimsy. If used on a smaller, lighter weight speaker, I see no issues.
You get what you pay for
July 6, 2015
The legs of the tripod are hard to close, even after using the product for a while. I have to lay the stand on the floor and use my body weight to close the thing. Also, the plastic bag that comes with it is cheaply made. I would recommend using one of the thicker bags that also serve as a padding. When walking around with the stands in the bag it can hurt every time the bag rubs or hits your legs.
For the price, I can't complain
June 26, 2015
Review for Rockville RVSS2:I only use speaker stands occasionally (few times a year) but these will work fine for me. For the price, I can't complain too much. They seem very sturdy and heavy duty. I've had other pairs that cost more that were lighter and didn't seem as strong.HOWEVER, one of the knobs on the set I bought was stripped "fresh out of the bag." Since this is rather cumbersome to return (the shipping box was about 2 x 3 x 5 feet, I simply re-tapped the threads myself. Also, the threads of the knobs are a bit short. I replaced the factory ones with some longer "spares" I had which seem to work much better. I haven't used these outside my basement yet, but it certainly seems like overtightening the knobs will be something I need to be sure not to do (seems like the threads will strip).

Poor quality
December 8, 2016
One of the stands came damaged. Top part was crushed. Have lots of problems raising the pole. Carry bag is poor quality. Carried the bag one and strap is tearing. Secure straps for inside bag are cheap and 2 are hanging on by a thread.
Junk Storage Bag
February 7, 2016
Stands are ok. Storage bag is JUNK! ripped after first use and now the zipper broke right off. Materials are very cheap and bag is now useless. Asked for a replacement and was told no!
Great stands!
June 17, 2014
Light, easy to set up and a bag is a plus however I dont know if zipper will last long!you have to be careful how you place stands in the bag so you wont rip zipper. After year and a half of use almost every weekend I have to take rating down. Plastic is really bad on them. After year of use busted and doesnt hold ok. Compared to the other stands i have and use the same way but for lights- those will not last you long if you need to use it frequently. Bag is useless, zipper broke after 3rd time.
Pneumatic shock absorber does not work
February 12, 2014
The only reason I am giving this a 2 is because at least you could still use them as regular speaker stands. The weight capacity is different than Amazon advertises. These speaker stands have an 80 lb weight capacity according to the instructions. As far as the shock absorber within the stands, Amazon says the same thing the manual does. You are suppose to press a button, release the lock pin and be able to lift the speaker with one hand because of the shock absorber. Once you get the speaker raised to the desired height, you release the lock pin and let the speaker come down gently because of the shock absorber. When I would try to do that, the speaker would free fall. Obviously, I had to keep a hand on it from doing any damage but the shock absorber did not work like it was supposed to and that is the primary reason I bought it. The stands seem durable. The bag material is also durable. Maybe it was a bad set but it will be returned.
SPEAKER STANDS
February 17, 2013
I bought this speaker stands few months back. They are light construction, easy to carry but the knobs are fragile, they are easy to break. Also one of the staand is some time hard to pull open.
not professional grade
January 28, 2012
got this because it came with a case and 2 20ft xlr cables, but both stands have cracked at the locking mechanism. I am currently using the pins to support my speakers. definitely not good for a working dj.

DON'T BUY FOR A SPEKER OVER 50 POUNDS!!!!
September 19, 2017
They are not sturdy at all. I have 75 lb speaker that I put on these stands and the speaker leans forward on it. They have lost some of their rubber feet and the bag has ripped because it is made out of cheap material. It's totally worth spending a little more money on reliable speaker stands that are sturdy and won't make you a nervous wreck when you put your speaker on it.
😠
August 26, 2017
Clamp was broken when I received it and had to return it!!
Read before buying
May 14, 2017
Need to actually send them back. One of the stands is missing a screw very unsafe for a PA speaker. Other one works fine just feels cheaply made. The legs feel unsteady.
Stripped threads?
May 2, 2017
The first one I ordered had stripped out threads... I just ordered another, lets see how it works.
... Speaker Stands Hydraulic Air Powered Auto Lift RVSS4A) were awesome I love those
June 4, 2016
I purchased these because the last Rockville's (2 Rockville DJ PA Tripod Speaker Stands Hydraulic Air Powered Auto Lift RVSS4A) were awesome I love those. I bought these as a backup or extras depending on the event. These are the worst tripods I have ever used. They wont move to spread out the it feels like they are stuck. I tried to loosen to get the base wider and parts feel off. The bag ripped the first event I used them on. I am hesitant to by another pair of the of other ones.
When setting up at a gig getting your hands covered in oil isn't very nice. Secondly
April 12, 2016
First off, the stands are covered in light oil. When setting up at a gig getting your hands covered in oil isn't very nice.Secondly, I don't know who did the sizing but it is too big for any speakers I have. I have both EV Sx300 and QSC KW152s and the poles don't fit in either speaker without a significant amount of force.I would not recommend these speaker stands to anyone.
