Perfect for my Bose jewel speakers
September 20, 2017
Much better than I expected especially considering the price. Perfect for my Bose jewel speakers and heck of a lot cheaper than Bose is offering. Metal stand and extensions. The only possible negative is the height adjustment mechanism is plastic. Cranking down on it to tight could cause it to break (but something superglue could easily fix). I didn't experience that problem but can see why some of the other reviewers might be upset.
Was not the best connection
May 21, 2017
Need to watch what type of speakers you have and how they connect. Was not the best connection for my type of speckers but I mde it work.
Perfect for satellite surround speakers
March 20, 2017
Perfect for satellite surround speakers. Also nice extra piece to cover external speaker wire. Note, it is best to push the speaker wire from the top toward the bottom. If is very difficult to go from the base (bottom) to the top of this speaker stand due to the curve shape.
Slim and functional speaker stand that is a fantastic value!
August 25, 2016
These stands are exactly what I wanted. Very slim, easy to mount the speaker, has a little concealing cover for the back and the wire can run down the inside of the stand. All you see is the speaker and the wires come out the bottom of the nicely weighted base. It is not supper rugged and doesn't feel super high quality, but it looks and works great when assembled and in place. For the money, I consider these a fantastic buy!
Good deal - well made, fits my Vizio sound system.
March 8, 2016
For this price, what's not to love? I have a Vizio sound system and the included wall mounts wouldn't have provided the clean look I was looking for. I had to cut the wires in order to fit the cords through the base since they have an RCA plug at the end that would not fit and I also had to install the speakers upside down so that the rear bracket would not interfere with the said RCA plug. That being said - it looks really sharp. Bases are heavy as they should be.
I had purchased a set from Best Buy for $49
January 2, 2016
These were purchased to support the remote speakers of my surround sound system. I had purchased a set from Best Buy for $49, but they were much too difficult to assemble, so I took them back. These assembled quickly, requiring only a Phillips screwdriver and a needle nosed plier. As different speakers are equipped with different mounting mechanisms, this set came with a variety of hardware for several mounting options. Directions for assembly and for choosing the correct speaker mount were clear and illustrated with drawings. Parts were clearly labelled and identified. These stands are solid metal and are sturdily weighted at the bottom which provides the stability to hold a five pound speaker at the top. A feature not advertised but that I was delighted to find was that the speaker wire feeds up into the tube from the bottom and comes out at the top, so that there are no gangly wires hanging from the speaker. They are very easy to move, so they can be placed for optimal sound when in use, then tucked into a corner or behind a chair when not in use. However, mine stay in permanent view several feet either side of my television, because the styling is chic and they don't at all detract from the appearance of the room. And the price? I don't think you can do better. I highly recommend this product.

Plastic feels very cheap otherwise great.. metal parts feel sturdy thoughWe've broken all the ones we've bought so far.. they seem to last a year before the plastic wears down or breaks from moving or weight of speaker leading us to adjusting
These are great and priced right
May 1, 2017
These are great and priced right. Giving four stars just because the hole is so small you can't get a single RCA cable in it. I had to cut and make custom cables. I'm using a Vizio surround sound system. Single RCA is the only connection available.
Good enough...
April 30, 2017
Works good for my Panasonic rear speakers. I wish the bases where just a little bit bigger so it would be a bit more stable on my carpet, but other than that they work. Just like other reviewers be careful on how tight you twist the plastic pole adjustments...very cheap plastic.
Screws Didn't Fit Monoprice 13773 Speakers
December 19, 2016
I like the stands. They are used behind my couch that has a jut out from the old chimney and the stands fit perfectly on either side of the old chimney. I will note that I bought monoprice 13773 speakers. I figured their stands would have all the required mounting equipment for them, but this was not the case. The 13773 speakers required an M6 screw and stands came with M4 & M5 screws. I got (2) of the screws at Home Depot for $1 so it wasn't a big deal, but figured it's a heads up to the rest of you.It also looks like Monoprice discontinued the 13773 speaker set so maybe this won't be a problem anymore!
Monoprice stands don't work with Monoprice premium 5.1 out the box!!
November 21, 2015
Honestly, its not hard to put together some speaker stands.Your purchase will likely be based on color, style or mount type.I purchased these to go with my "Monoprice premium 5.1 system" that I've been very pleased with.I decided to write this review just to give possible customers of the "Monoprice premium 5.1 system," a heads up about these speaker stands and their out of the box compatibility. This set includes hardware like screws and washers of different sizes, but it DOES NOT INCLUDE THE 1/4" SCREWS needed for Monoprice's satellite speakers that come with the system.Luckily, I had some old screws from another project sitting around and I was able to take care of that without having to leave my house.I can't say I wouldn't buy them again, but I'd do my research as to what I needed next time and not assume the a brand's products work with each other.
Cheap and works and looks great but...
December 1, 2012
I bought these speaker stands to use with my new bose speaker system for the back channels. They look and work pretty good and for the price you can't really beat these. However the price did come with couple of kinks that I had to work out. After completing the assembly, which is really quick and easy, I had a problem with routing the speaker wires through the stands and come out at the top to connect to the cubes. The hole that was put in place for this had sharp burrs around it and wouldn't let the cable go through. After 5-6 tries I realized I would have to clean the burrs, and I used a drill to do it. After that it was pretty easy, but I would think, not everybody would have a drill handy to do this. The other small problem was sliding the plastic speaker holders over the stand, same with the speaker cable holes the plastic body was not completely clear of burrs or I guess left over material from injection molding so it wouldn't slide over the metal rod. Again a quick drill action cleared that problem too.Other then this, only complaint might be that the part that connects to the speakers and connects them to the metal body of the stand is made of plastic and doesn't really look sufficient to carry the speaker but after installation you realize they are pretty solid but I would suggest not to try to over tighten these since the plastic might crack. My conclusion would be that even though you might have some minor issues these stands are a great value due to their price and I would buy them again if I was to do it again.

Good cheap system - but with limitations.
October 21, 2016
Strong Central BarsThe screws and plastic brackets used to attach Speakers to the Bars - are cheap quality.Screw broke while being tightened to put the brackets on the central barsAlso, if you have Vizio or other theater systems. Those Wire-End connectors -- can't be passed inside these bars, as these bars are not wide enough - so basically the Wires stay visible, hanging behind the speakers.if you have FULL blown home theater system like - Yamaha, or Pioneer -- you are good to pass the Audio wires thro' this bars - as their ends are Open and narrow - without connectors.Hope this help.
Sturdy but fitting isn't right.
September 12, 2016
Sturdy but fitting isn't right. I had difficulty fixing the speakers. Ended up somewhat loose and "alright-I can manage-compromise-why hassle of returning" thinking. The thermacole packaging inside was broken when it arrived. I had purchased mounts earlier at Rancho outlet and was happy with Monoprice products (also Ontario mills store got shut). This mount was a bit disappointing. Also the height adjusting screw broke on one side.
Just OK, don't use bigger than 16 gauge speaker wire
June 10, 2016
You get what you pay for here. Had a problem screwing on the weight on the bottom for 2 out of the 4 stands I bought. Careful--the threads on the very thin metal poles will strip if you don't get them lined up correctly when screwing on the weight. I have these on carpet, and they aren't quite heavy enough to "sink" into the carpet and be rock solid. If you step too close the base, it will sway. They should have spikes to stead them. I may make them myself. So, if you have thick carpet, best to buy some that are heavier, or have leveling spikes on them. Other problem I had--it was extremely difficult to get the wiring through the bend in the metal pole. I used 16 gauge wire, and it too me forever to get it through. So, if you're planning on using larger wire than this, good luck--I don't think you'll be able to get it through. Thanks.
Cheap, Effective, Good enough for me
March 4, 2015
You get exactly what you're paying for. It works just fine, but the screws are soft and will be chewed up and the slide adjustment is prone to slipping. That being said, it's not that bad really. If you need something to hold up a light pair of speakers, these will work. I have a vizio sound bar S4251w-B4. it's true, to make the system flush you have to mount upside down (the provided speaker butt gets in the way), but you can also use the threaded thumb screw as a spacer to screw the longest screw into the back of the speaker. This will let you mount the speaker upright, but with an obvious gap in the back. Not terrible and seems secure enough. Other option is just getting different speaker wire with an rca male end and just use that. No big deal.TL;DR good for $25 not great
not so good quality
July 25, 2014
I bought this to hold the surround speakers for my Samsung HT-H5500.To begin with, the assembly of the product was not as easy as it seemed. The screw for the base and post were not very well manufactured and it was really hard to make them fit together (almost like they were different sizes!), but after some hard pushing (and with the use of proper tools) you can put it together. The piece that holds the speakers is entirely plastic! And the screw that holds it to the post was so poor that the head snapped it when I was screwing it on!Also, the surround speakers for Samsung do not fit perfectly on the holder piece. The head of the screws are a little too big for the opening on the back of the surround speaker. So I had to change the screws to make it fit and then it holds ok.I'm still going to test these for a while and make sure it doesn't break. Otherwise I'll get something better built.
Not suitable for Vizio S4251w-B4 5.1 soundbar rear speakers
January 5, 2014
I bought these because Amazon showed these as "frequently bought together" with my Vizio S4251w-B4 5.1 soundbar, which comes with rear speakers that are wired to a wireless subwoofer. If these really are often purchased for these speakers, then I can only assume tthat they are often returned.First off, the speakers cannot be mounted upright due to the nature of the mounting bracket. Yes you can turn them upside down but it looks completely silly (they don't match the look/design of the soundbar that way) and it makes the speakers more top heavy, which increases the wobbling of these already wobbly stands. Even worse, the narrowness of the stand tube doesn't allow for the wide ends of the speaker cables to thread through, defeating a major purpose of the stands - concealment of speaker wire. If you have absolutely zero care for how they will look then these will do the trick, but if that's the case then you might as well just place the speakers on end tables or some other surface because it's painfully obvious to anyone who sees them that they were not made for these speakers once set up.I gave three stars because the price is right and they seem like they would probably be fine for some other speakers with thinner wire outputs and/or different wire input locations, and to be fair Monoprice does not expressly claim to be ideal for these speakers (I guess it's my fault for assuming that this issue would have been raised more by other customers who bought these stands for these speakers). But for future customers, you've been warned: if you're looking for stands for this soundbar and speakers, I would highly recommend you look elsewhere.

The hardware is total trash.
January 23, 2017
The single tiny screw that mounts the bracket to the stand is total garbage. The first one stripped almost instantaneously and required pliers to tighten down. The second one literally broke off when it was 9/10 of the way screwed in. The bottom pole has a large washer that keeps it level. it would not tighten without serious effort because it continuously jump the threading. It got an additional star because after some modification with other tools I got the stand to function but they are not built very sturdy. I do not recommend this stand. Just spend the additional 10 bucks and go with a different one.
Plastic connection pieces broke.
May 28, 2016
You get what you pay for. Unfortunately, one of my stands was knocked over by my reclining sofa, and the plastic connector piece broke. I can not use that stand now. I am going to have to get creative and try to rig it.Had that not happened, my review would be higher.I'm using these with an Onkyo system and they fit.
I don't really recommend these.
May 6, 2016
They're okay. While they work as expected, they didn't come with screws big enough to fit inside MONOPRICE BRANDED speakers. I had to go to home depo to purchase those seperately. Also, one was slightly bumped one day, fell over and the plastic bracket broke, rendering this product worthless.I don't really recommend these.
Not meant for carpet, better and cheaper alternatives available
August 28, 2015
I had these stands for a good portion of a month and I decided to get something sturdier. What I failed to put into account is the stability when placed in carpet. Of course these stands are made for smaller speakers, but when on carpet it almost doesn't matter as they will tip over very easily. I tested the stands on a solid floor and they seem to be a lot more stable, though still can be knocked over easily if they are placed in a high traffic area. The overall build quality on these is not so good. If you plan on running the wire up the tube, make sure not to use anything thicker than 12 AWG wire, or you will have a difficult time pulling it in and sticking it out the small hole in the back of the tube. Additionally, you should be careful when handling the wire through the holes as the edges are sharper than they look, and could strip the wire if you are using a thinner speaker wire.
Unstable, poor quality, not suitable to my speakers.
April 1, 2015
I bought an Energy 5.1 Take Classic Home Theater System, and two pair of these stands since the stand is top seller, cheap, and frequently bought together. My 4 Satellite speaker's size is 6 7/8 x 4 1/8 x 4 1/8, and weigh 2.9 pounds. I'm not happy with these stands and considering return them right now.1. Poor Quality: One screw breaks when assembling one speaker stand, and when adjusts the height of another stand, the plastic tighten piece cracks, which I think are mainly due to the poor quality, not my assembly skills.2. Unstable: Although the product description says it can hold max 5 lbs speaker, it cannot balance my 2.9 lb speakers. Both the speaker and the stand would lean forward. I have to place a heavy book to lock the stand. Actually, my stand(with speaker) already fell off two times during installation. (I'm using keyhole since the mounting screw is too small for my Energy 5.1, and put the speakers on carpet)Maybe it will do a better job on light-weight speakers or on hard surface, anyway, I suggest people make more comparisons.
Plastic couplers are very weak
March 27, 2015
These stands come in two sections in order to allow the user to get their speakers to the preferred height. There is a plastic coupler that is used to secure the extendable (upper) section to the fixed (lower) section of the speaker stand. Although I like the two piece design, it's downfall is the plastic coupler. Simply by hand-tightening this piece, a small crack formed in the plastic (this happened on both of the stands). As soon as I put the weight of a small satellite speaker (one of the rear satellites from a Vizio 5.1 Sound Bar) onto one of the stands, the crack extended down the entire length of the coupler piece and it failed entirely.I will be returning this product and requesting a refund. For the price, I'm not all that surprised in the quality, but sometimes that's the way it is when products are covered with little stickers that say "Made in China."Pros: Two piece design to adjust speaker height. Weighted base for stability. Hardware is included for multiple mounting options to ensure compatibility with different speakers and their mounting configurations.Cons: Plastic pieces are cheap and break under normal use, rendering the product completely unusable.

Junk on every level.
March 19, 2017
Absolute crap. Do not waste your money. Please buy something else. They do not stand properly. They easily fall over. The plastic adjuster does not hold the upper half well. It's prone to movement. It is really low quality plastic and easily breakable. The plastic speaker holder broke after 2 weeks of use. The speaker randomly fell. Fortunately the speakers aren't monoprice so it's fine.
Build using cheap material. Connector plastic teared away while installing itself.

Build using cheap material. Connector plastic teared away while installing itself.Doesn't fit with my speakers (Vizio soundbar ) properly.
Incompatible with Monoprice premium 5.1system.
February 17, 2015
Purchased these for use with Monoprice 5.1 system. The monoprice premium 5.1 system is great. Sounds amazing actually and can't believe how low the price is. These stands are GARBAGE however. They are unsteady. The screws that came with it don't even fit to assemble the mount bracket to the stand (all included in same box but incompatible?!). The larger screws that are supposed to secure the bracket to the speaker (monoprice stand to monoprice speaker) are the wrong size as well. Buy the system but find better speaker stands elsewhere.
Disappointed
February 8, 2014
I was quite enthused when I ordered these stands, thinking they'd be a fine addition to my theater system. Wrong. I'm a retired refrigeration engineer and've been tinkering around with things most of my life, so rest assured that I'm a stranger to neither tool nor drawing. The package arrived promptly, in good condition and with all required parts. Threading the stands with 14-gauge cable went smoothly, but that's where the good times ended, so to speak. The bases, though solid and suitably weighty, are poorly designed, allowing the shafts to slip through the bases to the floor, making the completed stands very unstable. I've had to place each stand on a small wooden box to make sure the stand didn't topple. The screws that, when loosened, enable the speakers to be swiveled, appear to be made of cheap metal — both sheared off completely during assemply, even though I was very careful not to over-torque them when tightening. Nuts....Minutes ago, I ordered a different pair of stands from Amazon, and it was during the search for replacement stands that I noticed something I wished I'd spotted earlier. Within the first 1,200 returns of a search on Amazon for "speaker stands" were 16 instances of these stands from eight "manufacturers": MonoPrice, Mount-It, Lumi, Technology Solutions (TechSol), Bentley Mounts, DiyHomeTheaterSupply, InstallerParts, and PriceLine. Over the years, I've developed a bone-deep distrust for products like this — stuff that's manufactured who-knows-where by who-knows-whom out of who-knows-what material and sold to companies who slap their own names on the items and attempt to foist them off on folks like you and me.I've promised myself to be more observant in future shopping excursions.
$30 YES. Quality NO ! By far this is junk from China
February 6, 2014
I purchased these speaker stands for my VIZIO S4251w-B4 5.1 Satellite Speakers. The first thing I noticed is the construction is metal and plastic. The instructions for assembly are useless. You might as well throw them in the garbage. The screws that are provided to hold the back of the speaker bracket in place are terrible. They screwed in a bit and then the head snapped off. I read multiple reviews that said this was and issue and I was very careful when tightening. They still both snapped off so now you cannot remove them at all.The piece that allows you adjust by lowering or raising the speaker itself is made out of a thin plastic. I had to adjust the speaker hight to make sure they are both level and both pieces cracked. So now the speakers must stay in place or the arm falls into the base and they are way to low. Awful design.I decided to use some gorilla glue and permanently set the speakers at the height I want and that made the stands a little less wobbly. Oh yes these speakers will fall over if your speakers are more then 1LB.If you need speaker stands, don't mind using gorilla glue and do not want to spend too much money then these are the ones for you.If you care about how your speakers look in a main room then these are not for you. Garage sale stands that would cost about $2-5 brand new. Complete junk
not recommended at all
December 7, 2013
Despite the negative reviews I wanted to try these for myself. I will say if you can afford to go up in price then go with a different set of stands (I did). The base and the pole are fine and no issues there. However, the problem comes with the bracket which is a huge problem because you have to get your speakers attacked to these things else they are worthless. The brackets are cheap plastic and the fit is not very universal. The manual height adjustment on the pole is also plastic and and doesn't secure well. The instructions are not clear and difficult to understand. I have martin logan speakers with a keyhole attachment but the keyhole insert that comes with these stands are one size and does not secure my speakers. My speakers are 4lbs and are wobly on these stands. Also, you only get one screw for each stand to use with the keyhole attachment and one of them came stripped, now I have to go to the hardware store. I was able to get 14G wire through the poles without difficulty. These things just take time, patience, and a little extra work to get setup. Be fragile when installing d/t the cheap plastic parts.Overall, if you are on a budget and you have small speakers with a screw hole in the back then you can probably get these to work well and look nice otherwise spend a bit more and go with different stands.
