Thanks for a speedy delivery - the item was just as described and put to good use!
Good long lasting torch, uses a lot of fuel however
January 9, 2017
Wow, good and long lasting butane torch. Mine lasted about two years through daily use in a kitchen that loves creme brulees. They include a sticker on the bottom that shows that manufacture date.I recently purchased the same brand of torch from Bed Bath and Beyond due to having a coupon; the ones they sell may have been updated because they are noticeably different. The BBB Bonjour torches are a bit taller and definitely have a smaller nozzle. The Amazon Bonjour torch shoots out a much bigger flame on the middle setting, using much more butane.

Good for dabs. Why it's cheap. Its well built. It does the trick. Perfect for quick dabs on the go too not to big to carry around. I'd buy again if mine was to break.
Nice torch
July 25, 2013
Never used one of these before. Very easy to use. So far I have burned cupcakes wrappers, charred the cheese on top of a baked potato, and burned the edge of the paper towel roll. I've learned I can hold it farther away from what I want to brown/crisp and it still works. ;) I have also learned if I clicked on the lock button to not look at what I had just used it on without looking to see what it is pointed at first(how I burned the paper towel roll).I am getting better using this as I go along. It's easy to hold and it does have some nice safety features like the button you have to click before you can click the light button. It's also very easy to fill. The base is nice too. You can set it down in between uses or to let it cool off before storing. You can adjust the flame and for me it doesn't go through butane very fast at all.Very nice little torch, happy with my purchase.
Great cheap, little torch

I was looking for a torch that had a very hot flame, had an auto-ignite (so you don't have to spark something externally to light it). Other things I like about this torch is that it has a dial to adjust the size of the flame, it also has two settings that allow you to have the flame on as long as you are holding the button down. The other setting allows you to start the flame and you don't have to hold the button down, and when you just want to stop the torch you just press the hold button that you would otherwise use to light the thing. The other thing I really love about this torch is how small it is. It is about 6 inches tall, 4.5 inches long (the length of the top of the torch), and the width is about 1.5 inches at the thickest part (not including the base) which is about 2-2.5 inches wide and is removable. Also it seems to hold a decent amount of butane so no need to refill often. When I received my package, the base of the item was missing, but Amazon was more than happy to replace the item free of charge, so can't really complain there. It doesn't affect functionality, but it does allow you to sit it upright when not in use.
Love the flame.

Maype I am a piro, but it is fun to just light and watch the intense flame come out. Efffective in teaching the cat to keep of the new leather sofa... Please, just kidding, We love our cat

Used it every day for nearly 18 months. Solid run. That being said, I'm not a fan of the detachable base. It's too detachable. I lost the base after a while, so now the torch topples over because it's very top-heavy. Which is how it fell nozzle-first into some queso fresco and hasn't ignited properly since.
Handy but goes through fuel very quickly.
February 12, 2015
Great small torch but it does use fuel very quickly. I really like the ability to lock the flame on and the small fuel gauge. The plastic stand isn't connected to the handle (it just slips on/off) but I haven't had any issues with it falling off. The safety switch occasionally sticks but it just takes a second to fix.
Easy to fill
September 20, 2014
Works well. Adjustable flame. Easy to fill.Only issue we have had, which is why 4 stars instead of 5, is it doesn't light when hot. I'm not sure if that's by design, but that is nearly a dealbreaker. When you have four dishes of creme brulee and sugar ready to roast, this torch only does the first two. If you let off the gas and let it out, you have to re-light it with an external lighter. The flint or whatever it uses for spark inside doesn't work when it's so hot.
Great torch for cheap and dabinn
October 13, 2013
high quality torch fills very fast and last a really long time flame sparks everytime and theres a slide to lock the flame. i dont cook but im sure its great. i heat my torch on lowest flame nd it heats in a few seconds to glowin hot red on my ti nail. i love it. great quality. i paid $30 in total with 2 day shipping nd its a great price for a great torch. def recomend it. stay dabinEDIT ABOUT AFTER A WEEK THE TORCH STOPPED IGNITING BY ITSSLEF LIKE EVERYOTHER TORCH IVE OWNED> DOESNT BOTHER ME BUT KNOCKS A STAR OFF. you can still see a little spark in the ingintion but it doesnt ignite the flame. gotta use a serpaarte liter againf ro dabbin its fine but if im a 40 y/o woman cooking i wudnt want it not sparking itsself. still love the torch
Read the instructions!!

Seriously, if you just fuel this thing and light up, you may be surprised. First, the gauge will appear empty if the fluid is over filled (it's clear liquid). Second, wait 5 minutes after fueling or you'll end up with an 12 inch orange flame (the normal operation will have a 1 - 3 inch blue flame). Finally, know what the buttons do!!! What I thought was an additional safety lever was actually the continuous flame mode. Meaning it will stay lit even after you release the trigger. Basically the first time I hit the trigger, I was shocked by the huge flame, hit the wrong button hoping to reduce the flame, and ended up with a run-away blow torch.. Fun..After a little practice (and reading), it worked as intended. So far I've added char to a reheated steak, blackened some chicken skewers, caramelized honey over goat cheese (awesome), and basically experimented with it on anything that could use an intense burst of flame. It could stand to be a bit more powerful and the fuel drops fairly quickly. Also fueling it (with Ronson butane) isn't perfect, it doesn't form a complete seal. Then again, this is a fairly common issue with butane canisters in general, just be careful. Otherwise, it's a joy to use and, for it's size, packs a lot of heat.
Great little Torch
October 26, 2012
This is a really great and versatile item to have around. Not only is it great for cooking but you could also use it for some arts/crafts and to an extent science projects. I say this because the torch is indeed a torch. It runs on butane gas, and when lit it fully exudes a high power flame. You could adjust the power and length of the torch by adjusting a red lever on the right side. The torch can also turn into a fire by adjusting the silver ball mechanism near the front end. If you press the red lever on the left side it will hold your flame, or else you will need to hold down on the red switch on the back to have a continuous flame. The handle tapers wide at the bottom which is great because it helps with your grip. I honestly wasn't expecting much of this item because of its mini size, but it completely proved me wrong. I used it to caramelize sugar and it effectively and efficiently did so in about less than a minute for a 5 oz creme brulee. I was also able to caramelize 10 5 oz ramekins and still have over half butane gas left.Note: the torch doesn't come with fuel when you purchase it, but it will use any type of butane gas refill. You don't need to purchase specialize lighter fluid for it, just any simple butane gas. I purchase mine at Homedepot for about $4, its a little blue and black canister. Also keep in mind when you're fueling the device, because you have to turn it over make sure you turn it back to check your fuel gauge. I accidentally over filled it because I thought the fuel max indicator on the torch works upside down. It doesn't and you know you overfilled the device when your butane starts leaking out!

If you need a torch for occasional use this is fine, however if you are using it more daily like I did it will die quickly. It required more and more butane before the sparker finally stopped working and wouldn't light it (2 months).I bought a better torch.

At times it just does not want to light. When it is working, works just fine. I use it mostly to pre-fire chips in a smoker.
Not as easy as it seems
May 30, 2015
Not as easy as it seems, buttons stick and the igniter has trouble sometimes. Not sure if it's a defective torch, or the norm for this brand.
Meh
May 13, 2015
I've purchased two of these, and they are both different. One doesn't light anymore (after working for about a week), and I use a regular lighter to get it lit. Once lit, it works great. The other lights just fine, but the gas doesn't come out as strong. I find myself using the one that I have to manually light more because it performs better. If I were to buy another, I'd go with a different unit all together.
Poor instructions
January 24, 2015
Its great once you get the butane inside. But I tried for days to fill with butane tank but failed because the fill tube is short by few mm.The instruction omitted a very important step; Finally my friend guess that we need to screw the fill tube to raise it and make good contact with butane tank.
THANK YOU

These sellers are awesome people. The torch was actually not that great, but I give 3 stars because the sellers are awesome and have been very resonable with me. Because of my move i lost the box the torch was in, I am so so late and they tried to charge my card several times and i had no money (or i would have let them take it responsibly). I found the torch still in the box and I am sending it off today. I think these sellers are awesome and great people. Thank you for your patience and business.

Broken and only "solution" is to throw it away.
July 20, 2017
Well, while this is a great product, it stopped lighting as the spark does not consistently spark anymore. Bonjour, who makes this product, offers no replacement part service, and obviously it's out of warranty. So now I have a very expensive butane filled paperweight.

October 16, 2015
Torch always ran out of fuel rather quickly, even when i would not use it for a couple days and use it just once or twice, it would run out. The flint died 2 months after purchase and now the fill nipple under the torch is releasing gas at a noisy rate rendering the torch worthless. bummer, it's only about 4 months old.
Runs out of fuel in seconds
January 3, 2015
I see a couple reviews say something about it running out of gas quickly, but I had no idea how quickly they meant. I'm not sure if every torch is like mine, but the flame goes out very fast, it takes about 5 seconds at max flame strength, and about 10 at minimum flame strength, before it cuts off. It takes a couple seconds to get to full tank, but it burns through it faster than it takes to load.
Meh
May 24, 2014
It's pretty basic, but works. A bit flimsy where the top connects with the aluminum body. It's loose enough that when you press the ignition button the head tilts forward just a little. Doesn't seem to be getting worse with use. Goes through butane fairly quick, but not horrible.Update 3/19/15: No longer works, I think it's an issue cause by not enough fuel getting through (despite the lighter being just below the max line for butane). I would say my use of the torch was light, so it's disappointing that it failed. Not worth the money.
Chef's torch
August 10, 2013
Not crazy about it. Flame will not stay on well. Upon holding the little "ON" button in one position to stay lit, you lose some control over what you are trying to torch. I was doing crème brulee` and it did not do well. The sugar did not scorch well and it was not crispy. The flame seems too small and insignificant to perform the job it is supposed to do. There must be better torches out there, rather than this one. Since this was my first ever torch, I thought its inefficiency was just due to my lack of experience. But after several tries, I have not used it. It also gives off the smell of the butane while in use and it makes me a little afraid of it.
It's ok.....when it holds fluid.
December 5, 2012
This product looks good, if it only performed that well.I have issues with this product holding butane fluid and I'm not sure why. I have looked in the reviews and have not seen anyone else having these issues. I am looking at trying a new brand for my next one.The flame on this guy is amazing, but again not being able to hold fluid makes this guy pretty useless.

Already not igniting
October 8, 2017
Breaks down fast. Delivered July 18, stops self igniting October 8th. Just over 80 days of use. 5x refined butane used in torch. Very disappointed. Up until now I thought this was a great torch.
Torch worked great!.
March 21, 2016
Torch worked great!..until about 6 months later when the butane would randomly disappear every night. I am not sure where it goes, but when i fill it up the next morning now it just disappears bone dry. Definately defected
I don't understand the stuff I got in America -- none of things like this is good enough
February 25, 2015
I got it, and I returned it. I couldn't refill it. It cost me half a container of gas.I don't understand the stuff I got in America -- none of things like this is good enough.I like lighters, blow torches, etc. But few of them I've seen in the USA are good. The same stuff in China are really the good ones.
USELESS CHEAP PRODUCT DO NOT BUY
February 19, 2015
This vector torch knock-off sports a low price but also suffers from technical glitches. The fuel gauge is utterly worthless. It doesn't read accurately, you can just tell from the weight of the torch and the flame that it is getting low. Also, after refueling I noticed the flame was weaker than normal upon first lighting the torch. This problem quickly subsided, the torch reverted to normal after being used for 10-20 seconds.Additionally, the product came with a fat strip of glue on the handle. It almost looked like they had put some double sided sticky tape around the handle and let it sit and deteriorate for 15-20 years. It was extremely sticky and impossible to remove. I ended up just putting some paper on the handle (it was so annoying to have sticky hands every time after handling the torch). It makes the torch handle look bad.Compared to a vector torch, it seems like it has a stronger flame, but also uses butane quicker. Overall, it works. For the price I can't complain, nor can I say I'm surprised. What I can say however, is that if I would have known about these problems beforehand, I probably would have just shelled out the extra 25$ for a vector.IMPORTANT UPDATE: TORCH HAS BROKEN AFTER 1 MONTH OF USE. AMAZON HAS DROPPED THE PRICE. DO NOT BE FOOLED. GET A HIGHER QUALITY TORCH!torch would no longer fill, and started leaking butane. no wonder amazon has dropped the price 15$ (from 35 to 20). don't buy this piece of s***. its a 20$ paperweight that spews out toxic gas. If you want the convenience of a powerful handheld torch, get a vector. period.
Flame will not adjust so it is a blow torch only.
January 30, 2015
The flame is either full blast or off. Even though there is a "flame adjustment", it does not work. I was unable to use it because the flame is much too intense.
did not work

did not work, and had to return it. my wife comes from a catering background and couldn't get it to work properly and that rarely happens
