Five Star Reviews: | 50% Highly recommend! March 10, 2016 Bought this for my gamer daughter. It DOES work with Xbox One without a converter. I bought a converter and returned it because it was not needed. She loves it and she loves the surround sound she now enjoys with it. Get Into The Game September 17, 2015 I love this chair. It's a gaming chair yet looks like a recliner. The first one I received didn't work at all so Amazon returned it and sent me out another in three days. I like deep bass sound and the full loud rich quality you get from the X-Box games. The seat also vibrates with the games. This really makes the games more fun and exciting. I found that I was using A LOT of batteries in the radio transmitter box. So I got a power adapter which made a lot of difference. I got better sound because when the batteries would start to wear out the sound would dissipate. Now I get consistent rich sound and vibration. If you're a gamer you need to get this chair. It puts you in the game. Amazing chair. Amazing sound August 19, 2015 UPDATE 8/27/15 I had to call the manufacturing company for this chair because the speakers started sounding crackly and then a couple days after that started the sound was cutting in and out. Unfortunately, Amazon has a 30 day return policy and it was 5 days after the return policy when this started. The company that makes this chair is really easy to talk to on the phone. The customer service rep walked me through some diagnostics and was very patient with me when I didn't quite understand what she was asking me to do. She determined what was wrong with it and is mailing me the replacement part free of charge. Amazing chair. Amazing sound. Comfortable chair. Easy to set up with TV. works with ps3, ps4, and xbox 360. Connects with tv instead of connecting directly to the consoles, which I prefer because it is one less thing I have to hassle with when I switch between games and consoles. Love it. I will probably be buying another one soon that way hubby and I can play together and have our own chair. Great chair that sounds good and holds up to lots of use. April 18, 2015 I have 4 of these chairs in a truck I use at car shows every weekend. The truck gets over 1000 people a weekend going through it and tons of kids and adults climbing in and out of these chairs. The sound is great. The comfort is still there and they have been beet on by so many people and still are physically in very good shape. I also have two in the living room for gaming and love using them. I do wish the arms were padded but I guess it's a small thing considering they work very good and hold up to abuse! The pictures I've added are of the Chairs in the truck, The Xbox systems they are working with and the truck that halls it all around. Can't say enough good about these! Very Comfortable! Xbox One Compatible!! December 26, 2013 Bought this as a Christmas gift for my fiance and he says he loves it! He is a long term gamer, and really seems to like it. I asked him his favorite thing and he says how comfortable it is. He is a tall guy at 6'1 {260lbs} and its a good size for him. He says it feel secure, like it can hold his frame. He also loves the side speakers, which I can also say sound great! It really is like a surround sound experience. When at max volume it is VERY loud!! He also loves the fact that it is on a pedestal and not a floor rocker. He compared it to a previous chair he had and he loves the arms better, and how strong they are. Also it looks just like the picture, I was a big worried about the fabric of the chair but it really is a nice quality chair. He seems to really love it- and not just because its from me lol. Also he added he likes the fact that it turns (swivels) and the padding on the back. Also it is wireless which is a big plus- and it is compatible with the Xbox One, which had me worried because I couldn't find a review confirming it was- but it is!!! Took him about 15 minutes to figure out how to connect it for sound, and 10 to actually build the chair. All in All I feel like it was worth the money and like I got him something he can enjoy :) | 61% Very very comfortable, speakers are loud and clear November 28, 2016 Very very comfortable, speakers are loud and clear, sub in chair is fantasic for gaming, and easy hook up. It took me less than 15 mins to set everything up and play. It also works great with xbox one. I was curious if it was campiable with the xbox one before I bought the item and didn't really get any firm answers. But to clarify, it's hooked up to my tv rather than the gaming system. But none the less, it works perfect. Not good for tall people.. October 15, 2016 The product is quite amazing actually but there is a problem, if you are tall then you can't enjoy it very much because your legs must be left up from the ground. I'm 5.85 .I tried to contact the company about if I can purchase a stand for it but there is no respond from them until this moment. We plugged it into our audio system (doesn't actually plug into the PS4) and it works great. However February 4, 2016 Got this for my son for Christmas and he really likes the sound and the rumble. We plugged it into our audio system (doesn't actually plug into the PS4) and it works great. However, about a week ago, the power wouldn't stay on with the switch engaged. I contacted customer service and within 2 days, they sent a replacement control panel. I had seen a few reviews where the customer service wasn't great, but I totally disagree. Got the panel today and the chair works great! Awesome to see such good customer service and the chair is very solid. Would definitely recommend. Great chair! April 15, 2015 It's pretty comfortable to sit in and doesn't tip back. However, the sound doesn't work. If connected through the transmitter, it doesn't get any sound, not even buzzing. If directly connected through cables, it gets some sound, but with a lot of static and buzzing. It's horrible!!! Plus there's no vibration since the sound doesn't work.Update 4/21/2015We got the chair to work when it was connected directly to the DVR box, but there was only static coming when the wireless transmitter was connected to the TV. I wanted this to work with my son's XBOX One, so we ended up buying an HDMI converter http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KBHX072/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1, which connects to the Xbox and then to the TV. The transmitter is connected straight to the back of the HDMI converter and the sound is now perfect! When gaming or watching Netflix, the sound now comes from the chair as well as from the TV at the same time with no lagging at all. You can mute the TV or the chair and they both work independently. Enhanced XBOX ONE gaming experience! January 8, 2015 I bought this for my husband for Christmas 2014. My husband is a true gamer and he loves this chair to death. Paid 211 for one of these. Glad I did!!! It's nice quality, not too big and fits just right in our small living room. It folds for easy storage too. We both love it so much, we went and bought a second one! One for me and one for him side by side in our living room of two TVs. (We like to play online together). It rocks back and forth like a rocking chair which is great when my toddler likes to sleep on us when we play on our XBOX One. The leather quality is nice...the sound quality is excellent and also great to use when watching a movie! It truly enhances and changes the experience and it can crank up really loud! My husband said the sound quality is amazing, "it puts gaming to a whole new level, you can really FEEL like you're in the game". Although the audio experience is excellent, I would rate comfort quality level a 4.5 out of 5, only because I've used the chair 2 weeks now and my butt shape has already imprinted in the seat. Don't get me wrong, IT IS ABSOLUTELY comfortable, but I just wish that the seat had a thicker and better quality padding. No biggie! Another small issue is that I like to sit with my legs up and crossed (indian style) and everytime I do so, i almost fall back. Now obviously the chair is not nade to be sat in like that, but that's just my personal issue with the chair. Take it from me, just do NOT fold and cross your legs in or you may fall back! Lol. No one nornally sits that way in the chair anyway, so it's just my personal struggle. I just have to sit properly like everyone else :) all in all, It's been a great buy and we happily just purchased another one. Oh! This chair FOLDS which is also awesome! My 5'11" 180lb. husband loves it, my 10 year old nephew loves it, and I love it! I recommend for anyone! Impressive chair! December 27, 2013 This chair is easily a 5 star winner!I finally got around to hooking it up for my kid to use with his Xbox One and his Xbox 360 and was very impressed with the sound quality and loudness. The bass in this chair also really helped make the difference. Ryse in it's full glory playing this char made for some pretty immersive gameplay. I'm actually considering getting me one, too. There are a couple of thing to think about before getting this, but none are in any way deal breakers, but more preference.1)The chair does sit low. It is supposed to, but if you have a TV on a wall mount, entertainment center, or desk and don't have the ability to have the chair far enough away, you may be looking up a bit. I actually anticipated this and picked up a $40 TV stand. Not only was this solution cheap, but the TV stand works great as it is low to the floor, has shelves for the Xbox One to sit on and a few side shelves for accessories and games to be stored when not in use. It is the perfect height.2)The chair is a rocker and it is pretty heavy especially when someone is in it so WATCH YOUR FEET and if you have small children or pets, well, one good rock over a hand, foot or paw and you may have some injuries on your hands. This can be totally avoided by just using common sense. My kid almost got my foot and I could tell right away I had better be careful. If you are NOT the one sitting in the chair it is up to you to watch where you are.3)The power cord for the chair is a little short and in my opinion needed to be a little more sturdy. Don't get me wrong, it does it job just fine and luckily for our setup reached the wall, but it does not sit flat on the floor. I would have preferred to have some low profile floor covering for cords, but for me to do this would mean buying a new cord. The MFG should have realized that most people will be sitting in the center of a room and not next to a wall.It really is a nice chair. Just make sure to have some rechargeable batteries or research buying an additional power adapter for the wireless box as I'm sure it will eat through the power. |
Four Star Reviews: | 19% Amazing chair for sweatshop labor May 26, 2017 Chair is great for the most part the chair itself well made sturdy loud sounds plays great. The 4 star rating is because of the accessories are garbage. Do yourself a favor and buy a 12ft+ 3.5 male to male aux cord and connect it from your tv headphone jack to the MP3 player jack in the chair than everything that plays through your t.v (I'm running PS4 Xbox 1 and a mi box) and with the cord upgrade the sound is much clearer. Chair⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Accessories with the chair: take them to the sweatshop they came from and strangle the dude who thought these were some form of quality oh wait they would just break Nice Chair but slightly over priced. January 16, 2017 Not too bad as far as putting it together. The bass sounds good and thumps pretty good. There are many ways to connect to your TV or output source. The durability seems to be a lot better than the less expensive ones. But for the price is seems like the quality good be a little better. Don't get me wrong it is a good piece of equipment but at this price point this is considered furniture and not a toy. Real leather would be nice. If you make it they will buy it even if cost a little more money. Good for a game chair December 7, 2016 This is a nice chair for someone young, a kids room or a person who likes video games. It's very easy to put together. Within 7 minutes at all put together. It's not that comfortable to sit and watch tv on though. Great Chair with poor customer service April 19, 2016 First off, I love this chair. The bass rumble in the back is great. The sound behind your head is so much better than having a sound bar in front of you. The cushion and support is ok. After all it's not a Lazy Boy. =) I had to contact customer support about a few things and their response time is seriously lacking. FIRST ISSUE: It shutting off. Come to find out, if there is no sound, the wireless feature assumes that you're not playing and will shut off. So if you pause the game and walk away it will shut off and you will hear the chair make static sounds because it isn't receiving a signal. SECOND ISSUE: (see photos)This is the major issue. The left and right speaker wires where plugged in wrong. I wrote customer support (the chair has a label that states you should contact customer support before going through the retailer you purchased the chair from) and was told to remove the control panel and swap the wires. I did and found out that #1, there is only one plug and it's glued in, so you can't swap them. #2, the wires are soldered to the speakers. I wrote back and more than a week later hadn't received a reply, so I started a new support request and was told to contact the seller for a replacement. SOLUTION: when I removed the speakers more, I found that they have a "quick release" connector so I swapped the wires and it's fixed. I used a phone chord as a pull so the wires didn't fall inside the unit X Rocker is a fun gaming/movie seat April 2, 2016 I needed an office chair and looked in local stores. All the chairs were standard but still asking $199+. I decided to try this seat because I thought if I am going to spend that much money on a chair, it better do something else. This is an amazing seat. The speakers sound great and provide a nice surround sound. Its nothing special but still is really good. Can use with your computer or TV, just need the audio cables. Been using this chair for 6 years now and haven't had any problems. One issue though is that after a decent amount of time the cushion you sit on goes flat causing the edge located under your thighs to become more pronounced. It made the chair uncomfortable to sit in for long periods of time but then I just put a pillow on top and that fixed it. Also the arm rests are hard and not comfortable for resting on. I had to buy these memory foam cushions to put on top. | 21% I got this chair for $140. One of my best entertainment purchases. August 19, 2017 The sub woofer rumble feature is fantastic and natural, the volume just has to be high enough for it to function. I leave the chair at 100% volume and use the windows volume adjuster on my keyboard to change on the fly. I actually feel like I'm rumbling through the gears in a diesel truck and feel the recoil of guns. The chair combined with controller rumble is an immersive fantastic experience. The chair itself isn't that comfortable. There is a hard bar right across the shoulders and another at the thighs. The back could use more padding, there basically is none. When rocking in the chair, the frame squeaks. It has leather, and all the downsides of it; squeaking, sticking to it, causing sweat, rough stitching that hurts, etc. I found a crotchet blanket on Etsy that fits the chair perfectly. I unscrewed the top speaker grills, hung the crotchet blanket, then re-screwed in the grills, so the blanket it permanently draped by the speaker grills. This has made the chair much more comfortable and eliminated the leather issues. The 4 speakers doesn't seem to make any difference. They are strictly stereo channels with no front to back balance, so you can't set it at 4.1 audio. I constantly fear that the front speakers aren't working, so I have to get down and put my ear next to the front speakers to confirm that they are contributing the to the overall sound. The front speakers should be 130% volume or more so you can actually tell that they are there while sitting in the chair. While the arms are not adjustable, they are the perfect height for me. If you have the Corsair Lapdog, this chair and the arms work perfectly with it. The arms are also nice and smooth.Even better than the awesome rumble feature is that how while sitting in the chair the sound if very clear, loud, rumbling, and immersive, it's actually quiet through a closed door. That's the advantage of having the speakers right next to you at all times. They don't have to be turned up to travel the distance to your ears.I got this chair for $140. One of my best entertainment purchases. Works perfect for PS4 & sounds great! January 5, 2016 I looked at several brands & decided to go with these. They are a little heavy (kids don't mind they just scoot them across the floor). these are Great chairs for the price & sound is wonderful. Very happy with these (I bought 2 of them). However, I only gave 4 stars because there needs to be more padding around the lower back area all the way thru the curve that ties it into the seat part. I didn't have to buy anything extra to use the wireless feature (except AAA batteries ) & the setup is super easy. Kids play the ps4, watch tv, & play music all the time now thru the chairs. Decent, with a few things to make it work great. October 30, 2015 Sound and subwoofer work great. RCA input only. This was a slight problem with my setup as my receiver only has HDMI out. Therefor I had to buy an HDMI/RCA audio extractor (Cyelee Full HD 1080P 3D HDMI to HDMI + Optical SPDIF + RCA L / R Audio Video Extractor Converter works good). There is a slight audio delay that creates an echo effect, so for dialogue I tend to turn down my chair and then turn it back up during action. It's slightly uncomfortable by itself, but with a few pillows it's super comfortable and I sit for hours in it with no problem. Fun stuff, I recommend it for gamers. Oh well I like it more than I don't like it May 25, 2015 Oh well I like it more than I don't like it! But there is still couple of problems with it! After one year and 1 week roughly it sagged at the edge or right on the tip of the cushion of for legs. There would be no problem, if not the great engineering idea! At the place where chair sagged there is a piece of wood 2x2 inches or so and it is really hard to sit. I found a solution, bought a cushion, disassembled the chair and with non human effort and struggle squeezed it into the right place, so now this chair is more comfortable than it was new!SO IF YOU ARE 170 POUNDS OR MORE DON'T EVEN THINK TO BUY IT! I am 152 pounds and this chair still sagged, so any of you who is buying expect this chair to be comfotable, but poorly engineered and if down the road you are willing to make improvements like I did this chair is right for you.P.S. It is a little too low to the ground, I wish I bought version with a leg! Great product, compatibility, delivery. Notable potential for improvement too. September 14, 2014 People have given really thorough and constructive feedback about this product. I would like to add that this chair is compatible with any device that you connect to your TV (PC, console, DVD/Blueray, etc.) because essentially what you are doing is directing the sound coming out from the TV to this chair, regardless of the original source of the sound. Of course you can connect the chair directly to the individual devices too if you choose to do that. I found that the best sound quality comes when you have both the chair and TV outputting sound. With some volume adjustment of the TV and the chair separately, you can easily find the perfect balance. I wish the chair has a pedestal with adjustable heights though (I didn't get the pro 2.1 with pedestal because I wanted the two additional speakers at the front of the chair, plus the pro 2.1 doesn't allow you to adjust the height either). Good Buy January 27, 2014 I bought this christmas present for my boyfriends since he is into gaming. He already owned one of those ugly bean bag gaming chairs, and it was just a horrible eye sore (not to mention the zebra print). It came in two days from UPS in a very large box designed for two people to carry due to the weight. It was difficult to wrap since my wrapping paper was not very thick. Christmas morning he opened it, and loved it! We instantly plugged it into his PS3 and the sound is amazing not to memtion the vibrations from the stereros. The only negative thing I can say about this is that the main cirlce volume dial was a little scratched up. Overall, a good purchase he uses it daily not just for gaming but to watch tv and lounge. |
Three Star Reviews: | 11% Comfy, but very short lifespan January 9, 2017 I've had this chair for a little over a year, and in the first few weeks the "pleather" on the seat started to crack and a few months later the seat buckled. It's still usable, but it looks horrible. I've never hooked it to my audio system, so don't know if it's good or bad. Anyway, it seems that it's time to buy a new chair. I don't think it's gonna be any of the X Rocker chairs :( A bit disappointed, but good item for the price. December 5, 2016 2 bolts installed at an angle, multiple preexisting scratch lanes on pedestal post, loose vinyl in areas which go under edge of speakers and other places. Good item overall, but care was not taken in the manufacturing process of the unit shipped to me. Transmitter is absolutely useless if you want quality sound, just use the included cables. Built for (Console) Gaming, Not for Comfort December 2, 2016 This chair is not terrible. The sound/vibration is cool. I returned it after a few days because, well, I'm a grown-up. I'm 33 and my back needs support. The lower lumbar section near the seat curves in a way that FORCES you to slump forward. I bought this item because I wanted maximum comfort with peripheral gaming benefits; this chair represents the opposite setup. It's an awesome gaming seat, especially for a child or teenager. I bought it to use it at my desk and to game with--it is not a dual-purpose seat. I'm 5-feet, 7-inches tall (short, lol). Maybe it would've worked better if I were 6' 3", maybe worse. Either way, it's a stiff seat. You can adjust the tilt resistance by unscrewing the tilt knob on the bottom, but the seat does not recline far. In fact, even at my height, it was difficult to get comfortable with my head resting back. If you're looking for something comfortable go with a different chair. If you're looking for rigidity and longevity this would be a decent buy because it's stout. Next I'll leave a review for a chiropractor. Not meant for the tall November 23, 2016 First off this chair works very well. Pros: Comfortable for long gaming Sound is good Cons: 5'11" or above the head rest is to low Speakers face the outside and not at the player Arm rests are not comfortable but you can leave them off Lot of fun...WHEN it works. January 8, 2016 We bought two of these for our sons room. They are very easy to put together and REALLY fun, when they work. One chair stopped working after a few days, we figured out it's the cord....since we had 2 chairs we were able to swap it out to test it but now we need to buy a new chord....given these are not cheap chairs it's disappointing to have to buy a replacement part after a week. Also, the sensor that sends the signal from the TV to the chair for the sound goes in and out ALOT....which is very irritating. We have the sensor only about 5-6 feet from the chair, pointing right at the chair, and it still goes in and out. We plan to plug the cord in directly to the chair from the TV but that means we will have the cords running under the TV and have to run them under the carpet since we don't want to have to trip over them. The chair is comfy and like I said, WHEN it's working we really like it but for the price....we shouldn't have to replace or work around any of the included parts :(. | 7% Decent July 2, 2017 Starting to fall apart, but have had good use for a couple years. The chair is really heavy, but fairly well built - much better than most. Little pieces of cement are now starting to crumble out of chair onto floor with normal use. Needs a usb port! Would recommend. Sound is vety good, so is vibration. Nice when it worked, cushion broke down quickly September 21, 2016 Purchased this chair for a Christmas gift for my son.I've waited to review because I found many mixed results about the chair breaking down and I wanted to see for myself. My son is 14 and he is pretty hard on stuff. The check lasted maybe 5 months before things began to go wrong. The cushion on the bottom did break down to the point where you feel the boards, the sound in the chair is not working now but I believe this is the fault of my son, not the company. But honestly, the way that things are setup on the chair meaning where the controls are for the sound connections, it's right on the bottom side of the chair. So when my son gets excited he does this crazy dance and I believe he stepped on the jacks that were connected to the chair and it broke those controls therefor the sound is not working now.................I think the company that built the chair could have better placement where things connect, keeping in mind teens...But when the sound did work I will say it was really nice. The bass was deep and loud.So all-in-all, great sound, cushion breaks down rather quickly, and they need better placement where audio connects. Nice chair, crappy electronics December 19, 2015 Not much choice out there for Gaming chairs, but my son likes this chair in general. His only peeve is the limited ability for the chair to connect to the audio from the TV and/or X-BoxThe chair only does one - but not the other. So if he is playing X-Box, he still has to wear his headphones to listen to music while he plays. This is problematic when he is also talking to his friends via his wireless headset. The chair is okay, but the electronics not so muchThe glitch is that there is just not a lot of choice for these chairs in the industry. Nice looking and okay sound but that's about it May 28, 2015 First let me say I'm not a very tall guy (5' 9.5") but I am pretty muscular thus weigh in at 185lbs. I got this chair after reading reviews here and other sites and figured what the heck. It's Okay. Now, I don't sit and play games for hours on end and I'm home for short periods of time, so I just wanted something to kick back for the brief times I do get to play. Well two months later the chair is still fine but I now have to use a pillow to sit in it or the hard piece inside the front will be quite uncomfortable. Sound is fine for the times you don't want super loud but don't expect nothing grand. It did sound pretty cool when I bridged the chair and my sound system together using an audio switch box just for fun, so I ended up with 9.2 surround sound which pretty cool watching a great action movie in lol. So, I can't say it is bad but it isn't good either. It's nice but the cushion in the seat is probably not of high quality to go to uncomfortable that quick. I say save your money and get real chair and bypass this one unless this is for your kid who weighs less than me. Slightly firm, Lacking Support, A little Low but Great Sound, easily Setup. February 17, 2014 So I bought this for my hubby as a gift and he likes it, however it does sit really low to the ground and I can see why other reviewers suggest getting the one that is slightly raised. The only comment he made is he wished he could lean his head back (lazy! :P )It plugged in and worked just fine, all speakers work etc.Comfort-wise if you need any sort of lumbar support I don't recommend the chair at all as it has none and I find when I sit it in I slouch big time as the chair is slightly curved that way. That's fine for many people, just not those who need support. It's also very firm.All-in-all the chair is fine, he's happy with it. I will concede that if I were purchasing this in a store I would not have done so if seen before buying. Great Chair But You Shouldn't Fold It January 28, 2014 I got this chair for my husband for Christmas and he has really been enjoying it (I bet the new PS4 didn't hurt either) and uses it a few times a week. Aside from all the great features it came with, I chose this one because you could fold it and put it out of the way. He shares his gaming room with our 2 year old and we need to be able to get it out of the way when she is playing. My problem is after a few weeks of folding and unfolding it, the leather on the sides is tearing. The arms are very comfortable but the leather rubs against them every time it folds. I wish there was a little gap between the arms and the sides so that we could enjoy that feature without ruining the chair. We contacted Amazon and they are sending a replacement so that is great, but we are going to forgo the folding function on the new one. So it is great minus that cool feature. |
Two Star Reviews: | 8% Don't be fooled, it's not as good as it looks. September 12, 2017 I've had this for about two years. It's not very comfortable, if you're using it on the stand. The angle just doesn't feel right. The arm rests aren't adjustable. The speakers are good, but running them wireless is pointless. The wireless transmitter requires batteries and you still need to plug the chair in with a power cable (so you might as well just run a sound cable too). It doesn't work well with an office desk. I think I've only held on to it for this long, because of how much $$ it cost. I didn't want to feel like I had made a bad purchase. Don't be fooled by the glamour. It's not a good product. Not confortable March 4, 2017 The tilt control knob does nothing and it does not have any spring loaded wheels so that you can move around? I put it together backwards I found that it needs to tilt forward and needs an adjustable foot shelf for us short people? The handles are tough on my ham hocks.??? Not leather so it causes you to sweat a bunch and it is not comfortable Broke after two weeks of normal use January 11, 2017 Bought it for my son for Xmas. After 2 weeks a metal piece broke off and made the chair wobbly and he is only 120lb. The chair is nice, good speakers and comfortable. Amazon replaced it right away so no problem on their end. However, when the replacement came in the material on the new chair was wrinkled. So I replaced only the base and sent it back. Not sure how long the new base will last. Maybe for Kids? but they would probably just break it. December 2, 2015 I'm 5'10" 190lbs and this chair isn't the most comfortable thing I have to sit in. I guessing 5'10" is too tall because I must really slouch to have my head rest on the "headrest". And 190lbs is too heavy because I totes feel the hard wooden beam on my bum through the cushion. In addition to the uncomftablness, the "subwoofer"(3inch speaking mounted in the back of the chair) does not work. So no bass. The only positives I have to say about the chair is that being on a pedestal makes it a good distance from the ground and has a slight recline. The other speakers are of ok quality. I was hoping that this chair would be comfortable for his when playing video games on the PS3/PS4 ... February 26, 2015 I bought this chair for my husband who is 6'4" and around 240 lbs. He is a size 36" in jeans/pants and wears a size L in shirts. So he is by no means a big person, except for his height. I was hoping that this chair would be comfortable for his when playing video games on the PS3/PS4 or watching blu rays. That wasn't the case. You can't move the arm wrests and they are not long enough. They are made out of very hard plastic with no cushioning whatsoever. It's also hard to lean back. You can connect the chair directly to your TV. And the sound is not too bad. I really wanted my husband to like this chair. But I agreed with him that it's uncomfortable. And we returned it. | 5% Wire short February 10, 2017 First chair had wiring problems after 2 months. Got a replacement through Prime fortunately. Disappointed so far December 29, 2015 We bought two of these for Christmas for our boys to go along with their XBox One. The chairs seem pretty well constructed, but they ARE NOT compatible out of the box with XBox One consoles. It appears you need to buy additional equipment to make them work with the XBox One. Considering the price we paid for these, I find this very disappointing at best, and frankly a bit dishonest because this was not disclosed anywhere. Given that the XBox One has been out for well over a year, I assume that is the product being referenced when it says it is compatible with XBox. However, they are referring to the original XBox console and the XBox 360. If I'm able to make these work, I'll come back and edit my review accordingly. Not plug and play ready for XBOX ONE. December 29, 2015 Chair seems well built but it does not work out the box for the XBOX ONE! Looks like I have to buy an extra adapter, an HDMI to audio converter. We tried using the head set jack on the TV but the sound was way to low even when turning it up all the way. Called X Rocker on Christmas day and still no call back from one of their techs. Sending it back May 26, 2015 The chair came in a box that was in very rough shape. It had corners that were now holes and sides that were taped up to keep it together. Everything was good cosmetically, despite the rough appearance of the box. But i soon found that the chair could not play audio through cabling. I used cabling that came with it and old cabling from my last X Rocker. I could only get it to play audio through the Bluetooth wireless receiver. I found the chair to be a little uncomfortable and small. (I'm 6'1) Maybe it's normal size and my last X Rocker was just bigger, not sure. Also, just a personal gripe with the chair is the "vibration" feature. I guess its supposed to create the rumble sensation instead of the sub woofer, but i found it to be annoying. The wireless is as bad as they say in other reviews May 9, 2015 The wireless is as bad as they say in other reviews :) sound quality cracks, even if the chair is close to the receiver. THe speakers face outwards rather than forward like with earlier models, so I blast my boyfriends ears out where as I have to turn the volume up to almost max to hear it. The seat design, to spite the beautiful picture, is not as comfortable as the XRocker2 and earlier models. It seems the extra padding, which is dense, is more of a hinderance. The chair is structurally sound and easy to store, but I can't sit in it for long periods of time without my booty going numb and hurting or my legs falling asleep.I will be replacing this with another XRocker2 Great Sound, But Basically like sitting in a torture device February 20, 2015 I did a lot of research on these types of chairs before buying this one. I have pretty bad back issues, and finding any type of chair that is comfortable and yet not a lazyboy was difficult. I'm also 6' 1'' and that makes it even harder to find comfortable seating for gaming sessions. After reading several reviews, this seemed like the best fitting, largest, and most comfortable of the chairs. Here's what I can say:The Pros: Great sound, the vibration really isn't that intense at all however from the sub woofers. Still, playing MLB2k14 on my PS4 was awesome with the announcer and crowd background noise. The Cons: This thing is anything but comfortable. The padding looks soft, but it's thin and already after less than a month's use (and not daily, I'm talking a couple of hours a few days a week) I can feel the hard steel bar underneath the seat. It presses against the bottom of my thighs when I lean back, and is very uncomfortable. The elbow rests are so far back and low that they are useless for me unless I slouch down super low into the seat, and they are a very hard plastic and therefore extremely uncomfortable anyway. . In order to lean back and stay there, you must have something underneath your feet to support your leg weight, otherwise you'll keep rocking forward. I have back problems and figured I was just being a baby, but my girlfriend sat in it for an hour and said she felt like she bruised the back of her legs just sitting there. Also, the wireless receiver for the chair only works with Red/White jacks and not digital, it takes two AAA batteries but if you leave it on for more than six hours the batteries die, so you need to remember to turn the receiver off every time you use it. The chair also needs at least a power cord to turn on, so it's not entirely wireless. The verdict: If you're short and you want good sound, this is the chair for you. Seriously though, if you have back problems don't buy this. If you're tall, don't but this. |
One Star Reviews: | 12% Only buy if you are 3 feet tall and like to sit on solid cement May 26, 2017 I can honestly say I have never been more upset with a purchase than this. I am a gamer, I am not a teenager, and I am only 5'7" tall and this chair fails in every way possible. First off, let me say the sound (when you can get it to work, the cables are crap and the wireless transmitter was crap and never did get the game sound to play) when it played, was good...no great. That is all that is nice about this chair. It is hard as a rock, I mean, I am not a senior citizen, but holy crap, it was short for even my legs and after an hour of playing, I hurt!! I FORGOT TO SAY I GOT IT TODAY AND IT IS GOING BACK THAT IS HOW BAD IT IS!! No, seriously, I knew within 15 minutes that it was not going to work as I like to be comfortable when I play my games, not have my feet fall asleep from the short bottom of this chair. It does not rock, it moves back a bit, but it does not rock don't be fooled. It has no way to connect to a PS4 or actually, anything in the last 3 years it appears, with the cables it provides, you can tell it was an old chair. I thought it looked comfortable and would be cool. NO I urge you, with all my commenting power, to not buy this chair, it is terrible, and I AM SHORT The crocker game chair came with a transmitter that takes ... March 18, 2017 The x-rocker game chair came with a transmitter that takes batteries and it started to make a burning smell and it got so hot we couldn't touch it. It is a fire hazard. I need contact information on the sellers of this product so I can get a transmitter that is not a fire hazard. HORRIBLE CHAIR December 26, 2016 Horrible chair! The red plug broke off the first time I plugged it into the chair and the vibration doesnt work! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY Not happy November 25, 2016 2 parts to attach the peditstal are missing from the package so I have a chair I can't use until I get the pieces. Not happy Not like just a little annoying squeak January 26, 2016 I bought this chair for my fiance for his birthday back in May 2014. It is now January 2016. about 6 months after I bought it it started squeaking. Not like just a little annoying squeak. More like a, If anyone is asleep in this house and I sit in this chair they are going to wake up from the horrible noise. Forget about moving around in it to get comfortable. The padding has worn off so you feel that harsh metal bar beneath your legs when you sit. Overall I guess you get what you pay for.. But it is trash. | 6% Does not last July 5, 2017 After less than 6-months, the upholstery began to come apart at the seams and crack in the middle of the seat. I would not buy again. poor sound July 1, 2017 We can't get the sound to work. It won't connect wireless at all and when we connect wired the volume is so low we can barely hear it. Vibration effects don't work. We just gave up and use it as a seat. Disappointing. Quality and Service Issues September 7, 2015 The product came poorly packaged and one knob for vibration had fallen off. The vibration feature does not work at all. The seat also makes a noise like a belching elephant when power is switched on or off. I wrote to the company for support on the vibration issue and never heard back. Very poor quality, major regret August 19, 2015 Not worth it. Poor packaging, poor construction, poor durability. I wish I could go back in time and buy something else. The first chair was left in pieces with a ripped cardboard box left on top. Thanks, fedex. I had to return it since there were holes punched in it.The replacement had large furniture staples showing through the cheap thin pleather. It was reasonably comfortable for the first week or two of use. Now all of the seat foam has bottomed out and there is a painful board jabbing my lower butt/upper thighs. The padding has almost no support in the back now. I'm a 6'2" 185 lb guy and it didn't hold up to less than a month of light use. Save your money, don't be dumb like me. Seat cushion wore out after a year January 24, 2015 I bought this for my husband as a Christmas gift in 2013 for over $200. Its been about a year and the padding in the seat has worn out. He is now sitting on the floor instead of the chair because it hurts his thighs. He's 6'4' and uses it for gaming. I'm very disappointed in the purchase. For the amount of money spent I thought for sure it would last more than a year. |
