Pick this one! I did my research!
June 17, 2015
I purchased the Brieftons NextGen Spiralizer after doing research on other brands that seemed similiar. The last thing I wanted was another big contraption taking up space in my kitchen, so I knew I wanted one that was more compact--but I didn't want to miss out on all of the capabilities the larger countertop spiralizers offer. Not only is this product small and can fit in a cabinet or drawer, but it also has 4 different REMOVABLE cutting blade options like the larger spiralizers. This product also comes with the perfect sized cleaning brush, and the actual cone openings on each side are just slightly bigger than any other compact spiralizer I've seen, making my vegetable options even greater because I'm not as worried about limitations on any vegetables being too too large around to fit. I'm thrilled that i decided on this one. Because of the way the pronged top is shaped, it really gets the end of your veggie close to the blade so there isn't much at all wasted. I've used it a few times so far and it's fantastic. I can't wait for all the versatile dishes I'm going to make with it! My friend ended up buying one when she saw me with it.
I like the Next Gen much more than the Vegetti

I like the Next Gen much more than the Vegetti. The 4 blades gives you a nice choice. The brush is a great addition to help clean.

I am really enjoying this spiral tool !!! It makes salads more interesting and look forward to seeing how it all comes together. A great way to use/eat more vegetables and make them more appealing !! I like that it is easy to use, easy to change blades, and easy clean-up. Doesn't take up a lot of room and I can put it in my kitchen and know I will use it more !!! If you can watch the video, watch it. It does make visualizing easier than just reading the manual. Although the manual is easy to read too, just the print is a bit small, but It is actually easy to figure it out. I would recommend this to anyone that wants to eat more vegetables and make them fun !!!
Easy to Use and Clean! Good way to get in your veggies
January 31, 2015
Received the Spiralizer on time and great condition as well as an email with link to the e-book with recipes last week, it sat in the box for a few days until I got the veggies to test it out. I debated between this one and the other Briefton's Spiralizer that was slightly cheaper (Briefton's Spiral Slicer which has non-removable blades and slightly smaller capacity) but since this one had removable blades and larger size advertised, I decided to go for it and I think the extra ~8$ was worth it.Pros:-It is a good size and easy to hold but still easily fits in a drawer.-Extra blades- I have never used a veggie spiralizer before but after a quick wash, it was already set up with blades to go-Quick: My first trial with a carrot was easy and done within 5 minutes including prep to peel and washing/putting away. Didn't even need the cleaning brush the first time-blades are easy to remove and wash clean. Easy to switch around.-little waste - there is some waste of a cone shaped end as expected but it isn't huge but usually you can slice it up and throw it into the mix of the saladCons:-see below re tip on the finger guard-probably will stain if you leave it unwashed esp if you used carrots or beets/strongly pigmented vegetableTips: - the blades are sharp so watch those fingers, I stuck my hand in to dislodge the carrot piece and got a little nick (however since I have frequently cut myself even when using peelers let alone knives, it is more my clumsiness than the device itself)-I discovered when trying smaller vegetables, ie beets, the cone shaped finger guard cap would not get a firm grasp on the beet and started shredding the outside end when I tried to turn. However when I used a fork to stab into the beet, I had a good grasp with the tines halfway into the beet and was able to make a good amount of beet "spaghetti" this way. It will take some more experimenting to see how to best use the finger guard cap.Overall verdict: -any device that can get me to eat a raw beet in less than 5 minutes/prep+ cleaning is a win! Somehow shreds of vegetables are more fun to eat!
It's awesome

So far I have only tried Zucchini. I was able to spiralize an entire Zucchini in about one minute. There was very little waste and I had perfect Zoodles. Cleanup was easy as well. Before purchasing the Spiralizer, I was using a serated vegetable peeler which resulted in a ton of non-Zoodles/left over Zucchini, blades coming dangerously close to fingers, and more time consuming. I am extremely pleased with my Sprializer purchase and can't wait to try the other blades/different sized noodles as well as other veggies. I highly recommend this product.
Best Handheld Spiralizer!!
December 17, 2014
I purchased this product after seeing veggie noodles produced by the more expensive models. I didn't want to invest a lot of money in something I might not use, so I went with the Brieftons NextGen Spiralizer.Hands down, best value for the money I spent. It is compact, lightweight, and has a substantially bigger blade and opening than competing models. This means that you can spiralize bigger veggies, and make longer noodles! This model also comes with four different blades, 3mm, 5mm, 10mm, and 70mm. It is incredibly easy to make vegetable noodles as a healthy meal for my family. If you are in the market for a spiralizer, buy this one!!

Spiralizer fun
January 11, 2017
I like this spiralizer but if you are getting it to make curly fries be aware this will not do it. The curly fry blade makes fries about half the width of standard curly fries. While still completely edible, they won't pass as "standard" to anyone. Think rectangular instead of square. Also be careful when cleaning, the plastic base actually took a gouge out of my finger during scrubbing (no blades attached at the time obviously.) I wouldn't recommend storing the blades in the machine since they require removing to clean the thing after each use. (Besides it only stores 2 blades below & 1 loaded so 2 blades are randomly loose at all times anyway.) It works well overall & we are happy with it.
Oodles of Noodles
July 17, 2016
I have only had the Spiralizer a couple of days and I have to say it is a great addition to my kitchen. I am starting a low carb diet so the main reason I wanted it was to make noodles. It is very easy to use, and super easy to clean when you are done. I am still experimenting with different blades. The online recipe book was an unexpected addition to the product. I will be trying some of them in the very near future.
Love this Mo-Chine!!
June 24, 2016
My beautiful wife tried a competitive el-cheapo brand she bought at a discount store and wasn't very pleased with her purchase. She ordered the Spiralizer and we received it a couple of days ago...tried it last night making zucchini noodles....WOW...SHE LOVES IT!!! Now let me tell you, she doesn't praise many products, but she has flipped over this nifty mo-chine! And from a personal perspective, I love the food when it hits my dinner plate...NICE JOB SPIRAL IZER PEOPLE...and special thanks to Gina!
My new go-to "noodle" maker! Excellent value!
January 3, 2016
I absolutely LOVE this product! As a health conscious eater, I was intrigued by reviews about making "noodles" with the Spiralizer. I rarely eat pasta anymore, and I truly miss cooking with rice noodles (key word "pad thai"). Since purchasing the Spiralizer, I've made zucchini and yellow squash "noodles" and incorporated them into my homemade sauces. This weekend, I also made sweet potato and white potato curly baked "fries". Delicious!
The Spiralizer is actually sturdier than it appears. I used it for almost 2 hours, washing and cleaning it between spiralizing the veggies, and it holds up really well. The suctions stay firm on my granite counters...no sliding or moving while I used it. Later I toss all the parts in the dishwasher, and everything comes out clean and as good as new.
I recently brought a veggie noodle salad to a dinner party (see photos), and it was a huge hit! Guests couldn't believe that the "noodles" were actually zucchini and yellow squash!
Helpful hints: When using the noodles in a salad, I roast them in a 400 degree oven for about 8-10 minutes on a cookie sheet (turning after 5 minutes) to dry them out a bit. To make the noodles more like "pasta" in a sauce, I blanch them in boiling water for about 10-15 seconds and then immediately submerge them in ice water for a few more seconds.
For my nutritional needs and for my family, this is a great value.
Fourth time a charm!
July 15, 2015
I have been trying for quite a while to get on the "zoodle" bandwagon.

My first attempt was when I got a quality hand held metal thing that looked a bit like a pencil sharpener. I felt like a fool calling and asking how to use it....umm..like a hand held pencil sharpener. Needless to say, when I got anything, they were a combination of veggie shavings and finger skin. Not what I thought I wanted. This spent some time in my little kitchen gadget drawer before I passed it on to my son who wanted to do the zoodle thing.

Next I got a gadget that was like a bowl with a lid and sharp razors and rotating handle. It might have worked it I wanted thick ribbons of stuff 2 inches long and 2 inches wide. Not the zoodle/noodle look or texture I was looking for. And to just get a bowl full of ribboned zucchini it took 20 minutes and looked gross AND the worst was it made a big mess. This gadget went into the garbage instead of the sink.

Third I got a Spiralizer By Palemo and it was everything I dreamt of! Easy to use. Easy to clean. Picture perfect noodles from vegetables!. I was so happy that first time I used it. My son (the one that I had given the veggie-pencil-sharpener to was there and begged for this. Crap. He's so great. He really loved it. Okay. He took it home as a present.

Finally I ordered the exact same thing again for myself and in addition to summer squash/zucchini noodles I have been having some "Pintresting" fun. As a side note, if you get this spiralizer (and I highly, highly recommend), if you cut zucchini or summer squash as a spaghetti type meal, don't boil the vegetables. They do not need it! At most quickly sauté or blanch.

Pretty good, for the price
October 24, 2015
I ordered this about a week ago and tried it out yesterday and today. The first thing I noticed is that there are black spots on it and some hair, which was strange because I ordered it new. I really wanted to try it out and I knew I had to wash it anyway, so I just washed it instead of sending it back. I bought carrots and zucchini. The blades come in a bag, but it doesn't really prevent you from cutting your fingers on it through the package. I've used two blades and it performed as expected. It's like sharpening a pencil on the old mechanical, classroom sharpeners. I like the coring process and the amount left over that can't be used in the spiralizer has a fun shape. It's a good way to get my kids to eat raw veggies, so I don't see it as waste. The things I don't like are that (1) it stains very easily (The first time I used it, I cut carrots and it turned orange), (2) the hand tool doesn't stick in the veggies as well as it should, so it's hard to use all the veggie, (3) the plastic begin to tear after my 2nd use around the edge when the veggies were short, and (4) the blades don't go all the way down on one side, so it's hard to keep it locked in place. It's very easy to clean and operate. I didn't have any issues getting long strands.
Now I can have noodles that don't make me feel like a bloated balloon!!!
October 13, 2015
I just used my new spiralizer to make spaghetti last night with zucchini and yellow squash, and it turned out amazing! I can't give this thing credit for my ability to cook, but I can say that it gave me perfect little veggie noodles for an otherwise not so healthy dish! It takes a little getting used to to push and twist at the same time, and you need to remember to stop every now and then to make sure you don't end up with noodles that are 10 ft long (unless that's your thing). I also don't LOVE the fact that when you get to the last inch of the veggie you basically can't use it without running the risk of spiralizing your fingers on the super sharp blades. Also the little cap thing that you use to push into the end of the veggie to help hold it doesn't really work well with softer veggies like zucchini or squash, you're better off holding it with your hand. Overall I am very pleased, and can't wait to try more recipes!
Easy Vegetable Pasta
June 19, 2015
I just made a daikon radish and carrot salad with my Brieftons NextGen Spiralizer and was very impressed by the ease of use. The blades are SHARP but my fingers never got near them. The daikon was very thick so it took a bit of arm power at first but as I got the hang of it the process became simpler. For the carrots I recommend that you cut off the thin 1/3 - 1/2 end first. (A good snack while you are working!) If you put the thin end in you will end up with little chunks of carrot. The item is easy to clean with the included brush. The only problem I had with my Spiralizer is that the steel clip that holds the blade in kept opening. I wish that it clicked closed better. The e-cookbook has some tasty recipes that I look forward to trying!

June 18, 2015
I've used the NextGen Spiralizer a few times now, and I'm getting the hang of it, I think. The spiralizing itself is very satisfactory. The threads come out clean and separate or they separate easily. The spiralizer cleans up quickly and easily with no staining from carrots after washing with soap, hot water and brush provided. I've had problems with the finger guard shredding the end of my zucchini and making it impossible to spiralize the last 2-3 inches of the squash. I've used other spiralizers before, and I know that each style has its own particular foibles, so all in all I'm very pleased with this one. I bought them for both my daughters, and so far, one of them is happy with her spiralizer as well. I love the recipes that I can make with the spiralizer since I'm allergic to wheat. I find the spiralized "noodles" a great substitute.
Great for spiralizing veggies and making veg pasta, although a bit of a high learning curve.
March 15, 2015
Spiralizes vegetables wonderfully, but only certain vegetables...we haven't yet figured out how to spiralize vegetables you need to cut down to size, like squash, potatoes, or celery root. However we had wonderful success with both beets (the best! we had them with grass-fed beef and eggplant marinara and it pretty much exploded our mouths off our faces due to sheer deliciousness) and zucchini (they get second place) and carrots. This awesome little bugger has turned us off regular pasta altogether. It is a little difficult to use at first, and a little difficult to clean, and the device that is supposed to help save your fingers and reduce veggie waste mostly just breaks the top of the veggie into pieces, but we've had decent success using a butter knife stabbed into the middle of the veggie so that's not a big deal. Great machine altogether and holy crap are you going to make me and all of my roommates lose some weight!
Super product, but be warned...
January 23, 2015
I tried my new Spiralizer for the first time yesterday and .i was very pleased. There was a short learning curve, but once I got the hang of it I had no problem. Cleaning up was no problem since I rinsed it right away and used the accompanying brush. It was a breeze! But, if you let it sit I wish you luck! Getting dried veggie out from between those sharp little cutters would make for an intense cleaning event. Now here's the warning: I do have one major issue with the design. The metal handles on the outside have VERY sharp edges. They are potentially dangerous and could definitely cause a painful cut to a hand, possibly a serious one. Besides that, the only big complaint, and one which others have noted, is that the cap provided to hold the veggie when it gets short is useless. The pins are too short and too close together to hold onto the veggie and quickly tear up the end. It just plain doesn't work. That being said, I was very pleased and felt the price was quite fair for what I received, even with the afforementioned flaws. It was fun to use, worked quickly and fairly easily and gave great long twisting delicious results!Highly recommended, but be careful of those handles!

So far I used the Angel Hair blade and it came out nice. This machine gives you a good arm work out. I'm happy with it compared to the other Spiralizers I have purchased. One con I have is that the suction grip from one of the legs came off and it's hard to put it back on.

October 5, 2016
It'd be great if there was a sheath to have the extra attachments as only 3 can be in the unit at once. I use mid-size C blade for zucchini pasta. I'd suggest to blanch the zucchini afterward. Suction cups hold it well to the countertop (granite at least). Sometimes it holds too well when you have to take it up to clean it. I'm quite sure that the other machine slicers have the same issue, but note sometimes the spiralized veg accumulates up behind the blade and blade bracket/slot.
Speedy veggie noodle-making!
May 12, 2016
This spiralizer is amazing & works great. I'd been trying to achieve the same effect (zucchini noodles) and failing, with one of those ridged vegetable peelers. Finally threw that out and got this. Yes, it might be considered a "unitasker" but if you are interested in shredding vegetables quickly without slicing your fingers, this is what you want. I will mention that it does do best with softer veggies like zucchini, carrots are the hardest to use. I had to play around with the blades for a bit to find what worked for me, for each vegetable I was trying to cut. Overall, very pleased with my purchase!
whats not great about a veggie noodle?
May 31, 2015
I got this as a gift for my sister. She asked me for one and before then I hadn't heard if a vegetable spiralizer but now I'm wondering how I ever lived without one.I love this thing!

It has many different options depending on how you want your veggie cut. It's really easy to put the new blade in and take the old one out. I just scrubbed a bit at the blade to get bits off it and ran it through the dishwasher after that so it was really easy to clean that part but it can be a pain to clean the rest. I had to get into the crevices where little pieces would fall.

This is also a pretty big kitchen utensil. Definitely need somewhere to store it and if you're one that has a lot of kitchen gadgets that might be hard.

The apparatus works really well. Just stick the veggie on, crank it, and out come little veggie noodles. Pretty tasty! It may be hard to keep the blade sharp or to sharpen it once it becomes dull but I think it will be awhile until it gets to that point.

This is a fun thing to use. May actually help your kids eat their veggies too!

Because I enjoyed using my spiralizer , I have sent them as gifts to my grandaughters.
Can there be a better way of saying "I love it!"

WANTED to love it
November 2, 2016
A bit too chunky for my hand. The blade holder keeps swinging open. I can't quite shred the vegetable past 1/2 of it...about 1/2 becomes mush or I end up chopping it because my fingers/knuckles started to scrape the blade. That big round prickly knob does not hold vegetables well. It just creates a round hole, because traction is lost pretty quickly. Wanted to love it, since I gave my sister my other one- different brand. That one worked better.
I like it enough to use it often
March 3, 2016
This is my first experience with a spiralizer so i don't have anything to compare it with other that what I saw about this product online. I was very excited to use it, but a little disappointed with a few things. Most of all (I have only used it once so far), when I tried to use the special cap to save veggie waste, it turned inside the squash and did not allow me to spiralize quite a bit of it. Another thing that bothered me was the thin metal strips on the side that seemed like I could possibly break them while spiralizing if not careful. Not the most comfortable grib. Also, even though the little brush is helpful to clean the blade, there was still some of the veggie that I could not get without using my fingers or the other side of the brush. Despite these things, I plan on using it often and it did cut the squash pretty well to make a great meal. I would recommend it to others. They seem to be a good company that wants to make a good product. Again, this is my first experience so I don't have anything to compare with.
Not working for me
November 17, 2015
Although I do like the size, style & color of this utensil, I found that when I spiralize my zucchini the tip of the zucchini starts to narrow into a point and it softens and breaks of in the bottom of the cone. That keeps the rest of the squash from being able to go down into the cone to be grated. Unless I am doing something wrong, it is not working for me. It also does not create long tendril spaghetti like noodles like all utensils of this type claim to. I wanted to believe it would...I wanted it so badly to work for me as I and my husband are gluten free and looking for something that takes the place of para for holding sauces!I may or may not use it again...and i am disappointed!
Basically, a pencil sharpener for veggies!
November 8, 2015
Works well on carrots, zucchini, diakon radishes and any vegetable provided they are perfectly cylindrical. We found sweet potatoes too tough and fibrous to shred (they just kind of crumbled). Potatoes are also difficult since they are more rounded and not as elongated they were hard to get started. I was really hoping to use it for these applications to make curry shoestring fries, but no dice.
It's a bit disappointing but works pretty much as advertised
August 29, 2015
I bought this with high hopes. It's a bit disappointing but works pretty much as advertised. Even with zucchini and squash you have to maintain quite a bit of pressure to get the vegetables the right size and not just mush. The blades are sharp, which is good. The plastic housing is pretty cheap. The little metal clips that hold the blades in don't stay latched very well. I tried using the end piece with a zucchini squash and it just spun around in the top of the zucchini, so that didn't work. Also, the little brush included is very low quality with very soft bristles that shed from the brush quite easily. After using this a couple of times on several different vegetables my feeling is that I won't use it as often as I'd like to because the quality and ease of use is just not that great.

Slightly better than others at a similar price point. There's no substitute for a crank-turned spiralizer but this one is great when space is at a premium.

April 7, 2017
I give this a three because it has a round hole that hollows out the vegetable and wastes a lot of product in my opinion. It does a very easy job of spiralizing and I usually just take the long round piece that comes out and eat it myself as to not waste it. You can see it in one of the pictures but it looks short and believe me it is whatever length the veggie is. this may be with all products like this since I have a handheld one and I cant get the whole pieces of veggie into it and there is a wedge left each time. Just not sure why the hole has to be there?
Part of the veggie gets spiralized
March 7, 2017
It's ok. I have never had one of these and don't know how it compares to other products of its kind. I got it yesterday and have tried some different fruits and vegetables. The carrots didn't spiralize at all, just came off in crescents on the larger and smaller blades and they immediately stained the plastic. The zucchini was half spiralized and half wasn't and maybe that's unavoidable. The apple spiralized fine with some parts also in shreds. The larger diameter foods are more spiralized but all sizes have a fair amount that gets somewhat shredded in the process.
Disappointing!
October 26, 2016
I had ordered this for the second time (another brand the first time and returned) hoping that I will have a less frustrating experience. I am unable to spiralize anything other than a fat zucchini. Carrots do not work AT ALL due to their size. Every blade pretty much gives you the same kind of outcome with the exception of two blades one is noodle and other creates ribbons --not sure what other blades are for...
This one came with extra blades for which there is no storage slot ( the previous one had enough slots for all the blades).

I find that I do not use it as often and if I had more time I would return it as I hate having too many gagets taking up precious room in my kitchen. I really had hoped for a better more versatile product.

I was disappointed that the recipe book included was an e-book that is available regardless of if you have purchased and is not much of a bonus. Also, no instructions are included other than directing you to the website which gives basic instructions and no tips for achieving the dishes pictured such as curly fries. I tried these with sweet potato but the pieces were so thin they were more like a garnish. It is a great machine for low carb dieting to create "noodles" and you won't be disappointed if that's all you plan to use it for. I will keep looking for more recipes and uses to use the machine for other purposes.

Disappointing.
June 22, 2017
I had a lot of hopes for this spiralizer after reading the reviews. After my first failed attempt at spiralizing a beet, I decided that a zucchini would be an easier second attempt. Failed again. With both, the blade would clog and required constant cleaning/picking at. The vegetable slipped a lot when I was trying to push it through and it seemed that no amount of pressure changed that fact. When I tried to wash it, the latch where the blade comes out got stuck and it was difficult to fix. I've tried it a few times since then and have had limited success. It now sits in my random kitchen utensils drawer and I don't much plan on using it in the future.

I bought the item just this early April and in less than 2 months, the grooves that held the steel nails on the "pusher" broke so the nails fell off when I used it to spiralized a carrot . The plastic prongs are not durable too and they easily break. The item is good only to spiralize softer vegetables like cucumber and zucchini. Please be aware that the nails can be choking hazards.

You definitely need thick veggies to make this work easily/properly. My organic zucchinis were too thin- frustrating. Also, I think the box mentioned a finger protector to remove the blades but mine didn't have it.
Too many small parts and it doesn't shred very well
November 30, 2015
The lid is supposed to hold the veggies but it won't keep them in place. The little plastic nubs that do that job are a little sad. No matter how I adjust the blades it will not make individual noodles. Whatever you spin in this thing gets "cored." The core goes down in it and you have to stop constantly to clean it. A lot of work for not a lot of result.
Awkward to use
May 6, 2015
I returned this item. Blades didn't seam to be well-seated, and it the spiky plug used to spin the food when it was getting close to the end just gouged out whatever food item I had selected from the back end. Didn't grip well-enough to deliver the force needed to continue grating. HOWEVER, I'm updating this review (and giving it an extra star) because the customer service was good. They seemed genuinely interested in making sure that I was satisfied and I've tried another one of their products as a replacement that I like, as it seems better made and is still affordable. http://www.amazon.com/Brieftons-Tri-Blade-Spiralizer-Strongest-Heaviest-Gluten-Free/dp/B00I8N1JK6

Really not worth it
April 8, 2017
While the idea is novel, that wears off quickly and then you're stuck with a large, clunky object taking up kitchen space. The spiralizer seems to be sturdy enough, but there is not much difference between the blades. The way it is designed, it is ineffective for items more than about 2" in diameter anyway. When you put your victim in the designated place (centered on the corer), only the first one or two cutting blades are actually ever used. I started using an unpeeled zucchini, but then I had half a bowl of just peel. I tried an apple with the flat blade (I wanted that fun, beautiful apple chip spiral like in the photo), but as you turn it, it slices and then hits the edge and breaks, so I ended up with little bits of apple instead of anything close to spiralized. I didn't even bother with other attempts of squash or potato. I did try again later with zucchini on a different size blade, but same effect (small bits, even when I peeled it first). They should have designed it to be shorter and wider in order to be effective for anything more than string cheese. Keep your money and just stick with knives.
I found that it's difficult to use if you have a big sweet potato or heavy object
April 5, 2017
I purchased this and spiralizer often. I found that it's difficult to use if you have a big sweet potato or heavy object. It's fine with zucchini and squash but root vegetables weren't socialized well. The skin got caught up in the blade and after countless attempts we never got full spirals. Just bits and pieces.
The handle broke, so much for spiralizing........
November 19, 2015
Okay, so I have had this thing for a couple of months now.
And when I got it , it worked wonderfully.

It has now been 2 months, and the damn handle isn't very sturdy...and it has broke right where the handle meets the vegetable holder/teeth object.
Spiralizer can hold up to spiralizing...

Kinda disappointing....

if the manufacture or seller is reading this, please give me some insight on getting that part or the whole thing replaced....

Good idea that does not work all that well in a real life application

I didn't really like it. It's kind of hard to use and I don't. Much prefer a real spiralizer or a juillene setting on my mandolin

Absolutely useless. I am an amateur chef and this device is complete crap. Bad design, limitation on veggie size, etc.Design - you have to use skinny veggies. Anything beyond that gets sharpened like a giant crayon and creates mush, not spirals.Quality - The flaps for removing the blades no longer "clicked" in and would flop open and the blades would be loose. Dangerous and useless.Utility - Difficult to hold properly without risking cutting yourself on the blades.I threw mine in the garbage after a few attempts.
Works in a pinch however its difficult and inefficent.

Kind of hard use and as others have noted as you can not use all of whatever your shredding . The piece that is supposed to fit in the end of your vegetable and allow you to spin things does not seem to work well either as it just breaks up the vegetable and falls out. The clips on the end of the blade seem to continually come undone so it you do not want that spinning out your constantly moving the clip in place. I will use it in a pinch but if you want something that will produce in bulk forget this.Update July 4th 2016 Seller emailed me and said he would refund money if I removed bad review. I was not so inclined and thought the bad review should stay. The clips for the blades never worked properly and now fell off after a few uses and gentle handling. Maybe I will glue the blades in however this will not hold up for normal regular use. I will have to look for something else.
I hate this thing
December 16, 2015
I hate this thing. Yes, it shreds the food fine, but the handle thing doesn't work once the veg you're trying to shred gets mushy bc it's being poked and twisted. And don't even try holding the veg with your hand. It'll get shredded, too! And not all of the veg is used. The core squeezes through the center and is completely wasted. And the strands are long... I prefer to use a handheld peeler that creates strands. It's less messy, uses all of the veg, and the strands are short.

broke the first time I tried it.. with a zucchini.. a SOFT vegetable! the top part which is supposed to hold the veggie in place is useless. And what broke was the latch that holds the blades in. The handle seems dangerous because it is metal as well (but has dull sides) and is awkward when trying to hold it in your hand. When I finally rigged it to work it made zoodles... but it was not worth it. Cleaning the thing was dangerous too.. it comes with this tiny brush that youre supposed to use, but the brush's plastic fibers get stuck in the metal teeth of blades. Good thing it was cheap because I just tossed it.
so I thought this one would be better..

-The pieces that are interchangeable are sharp and difficult to handle,-One of the side handles fell off-The clasp to hold the blade wont shut and stay in place....I bought a smaller version as a gift, it had fixed blades, so I thought this one would be better.... I prefer the smaller fixed blade over this one.

Very disappointed with this product.

Product is not sturdy. Unfortunately I purchased one for myself and one as a gift. Handle is so flimsy that i'm sure it will crack after a few uses. Plastic all around cheap. Extremely disappointed with this product. Waste of money. Tested it to see if it would hold. Handle fell off and blade sliced my finger wide open. My finger never healed back to normal.
Just say no.

Do not buy this. It is seriously a piece of s***. It is cheaply made. I've used it probably 5 times and 2 of the blades are broken. It is virtually impossible to use because it won't grip to the counter so you have to hold it steady. The blade won't grab the vegetables without pushing hard but when you do that and spin the handle it feels like it will snap right off. The vegetables get caught in the grooves and bunch up as you are attempting to use it. If you have 4 hands this is great, 1 to hold it still, 1 to push the veg into the blade, 1 to turn the crank and 1 to unclog the veg in the back. Unfortunately I only have 2 hands so I'm not talented enough for it.
Cheap knockoff of the spiralizer actually recommended on the Food Channel
July 26, 2015
This spiralizer will cut zucchini, but its too unstable and flimsy to cut sweet potatoes or other more substantial vegetables. The item is billed as the spiralizer recommended by the Food Network, but this is not correct. The PADERNO is recommended. This is a cheap counterfeit product with a logo and name that closely resembles the original product. The name and logo are too similar for this to be an accident. The claims made for this listing are fraudulent. Do not fall for this.
Works great - a little too lightweight though.
February 20, 2015
I love that it spiralizes easy. I only gave it 4 stars because the cups on the bottom don't really hold well to my counter (could just be my counter, maybe it works on something smooth like granite, marble, etc.) While it's nice that it's lightweight for storage and moving, I think if it were heavier it wouldn't move around as much on the counter. Easy to wash, slices/spirals really nice.

**UPDATE 1/14/16. I used this a few times since purchasing a year ago. It's now broken and in the trash. The section holding the turney-handle broke off completely. Upon inspection, it's only held together by 4 very small pins. Will begin my hunt for something a little stronger.
Useful Product, Poor Quality!
December 23, 2014
This is a useful product and I love the concept; however, it is poorly constructed. The first time my wife used it, one leg broke, and another had cracks in it. The legs are tubular plastic with no support lending to a system breakage of each leg. All the manufacturer had to do was provide molded supports for each leg to prevent this inevitable problem from happening. I also noticed in the reviews that the handle is also prone to breaking. Very poor quality for an otherwise great product. Too bad the company chose to go the cheap route and save a few dollars rather than make a long lasting product that consumers could brag about and thus sell more units.
