Perfect upgrade for my snowthrower
September 9, 2017
I had the original small metal skid shoes on my Craftsman snow thrower and switched to these. It is an excellent upgrade providing a much greater skid surface for the front shoot. Easy, 10 minute installation.
These work despite a few complications
January 28, 2017
First and foremost is that these dont fit perfectly on all mtd throwers. I have a huskee from ts and after 10 plus years the steel slides are worn down to nubs and catch and tear up the ground. I got these as replacements and proceeded to put these on. No matter how i placed them only the 2 smaller bolts would line up. The larger bolt would not line up not would it fit thru the 3rd hole in my blower. Second is the use of carrage bolts on this kind of piece. I hate hate hate carrage bolts and this is no exception. Uggh. But unbelievable after much twisting and chiseling and hacksawing the old bolts were off and the new ones still fit and were able to grab what remained of the mangled square holes in the side of my blower. I tightened these down until they were starting to deflect ever so slightly. My doubts about there ability to stay in place and not slip have all been laid to rest. These things actually work! My first trial was dealimg with a foot of heavy wet lake effect snow with my muddy wet diveway. These glidded over the mud and thru the snow like a champ. Yea they held and didnt catch on anything except the tree roots in my one parking spot. I gotta say these impressed me. All in all installation is pretty easy if they line up with your existing holes. Dont panic if you cant get all three holes to line up. 2 will hold just fine. Also note there are 2 dufferent size bolts and nuts so pay attention to that. Cold doesnt seem to effect these as far as i can tell. Also make sure you install these with the flat flush area pressed against the thrower body as i dont think they will hold if reversed. I got 10 years on my steel set so im hoping to get 10 years on these. 5 years a side seems like a reasonable goal. By then i will probanly be ready for a new thrower anyway
From just north of snowy Boston - so far so good!
February 23, 2015
I just replaced the skids on my Toro 521 snow blower with these. The installation was very simple. They give you all the hardware you need. The mounting holes on my blower were 2 inches apart, so I needed to use the extra large slot. The kit comes with a bushing/washer that allows you to use the extra large slot, but I was worried about the washer digging into the skid eventually as others have mentioned. So I took the old metal skids and chopped off the bottoms to make a plate that fits inside the new skids. (See attached photo.) There wasn't much left of the bottom of the skids, so this was pretty easy. These plates distribute the pressure from the mounting bolts over the most of the new skid, so hopefully should allow future adjustments. So far the skids seem to be performing well. I will add to my review after the season is over. We will see how durable they are. Boston is closing in on 100 inches of snow, so these are getting a good work out.
All Snow Throwers should have these!!!
December 3, 2014
All Snow blowers should have these!!! even though I just bought a new craftsman's 24 inch snow thrower. The one thing I didn't like is the poly glides that came with it are way shorter than these. I rent a home that was built in 1957 and still has the original concrete driveway. Needless to say, the driveway has deep cracks and had loose broken concrete. I didn't want to have my new thrower to have any problems with this driveway. (only plan to stay a 1 or two the most) the last house I rented was only 5 years and had a great new driveway. I'm sure the shorter one would have work okay, but Were no longer there. These Poly Glides shipped quick(3 days) had all the hardware is a plastic bag(I didn't use, just reused the original hardware. the snow thrower is 3 weeks old and waiting for snow. these glides fit the front and back holes perfectly. It only took 5 minutes to install, and 2 large flat tip screwdrivers to prop up the ice scraper 1/4 high, and racket down the poly glides. Super Simple. I drove the Craftsman over the driveway to make sure I didn't have and issue, and it went flawlessly. I would definite recommend these to any one think of buying a snowblower, or and the very least, these glides are perfect.
Great effective product! Fit Troy-Bilt Storm 2840 Perfectly!
June 5, 2012
Installed these on my BRAND NEW 28" Troy-bilt snow blower. I didn't even waste my time attempting to use the factory steel slide shoes. I have used these slides on the 26" Craftsman snow blower we have at work and all I can say is they "glide" over anything, never get hung up, and last much longer than I expected they would. The price is a little steep, however, they do work much better then the OEM junk. Would and will buy these again!
The greatest invention since the Snowblower.
October 14, 2011
I recently purchased these snowblower skids for a 25+ year old Craftsman that was starting to show it's age. The original skids, when brand new, were nothing more than your typical bent chunk O metal about 3 inches long that rode along the ground getting caught on anything that wasn't completely smooth. In fact, they were getting so bad that they would catch and grab on even smooth blacktop. I had always wondered "why don't they make something better for these things?". In a nutshell, original snowblower skids kinda suck, right from the get-go.So I recently stumbled upon these universal replacement shoes and despite the frightening price of them, decided to take a chance.Wow.Let me go on record by saying that if I were to buy a brand new snowblower tomorrow, I would buy these shoes for it, and take the original ones and heave them somewhere into the dark, cobwebby recesses of my garage. Via con dios, poorly designed crap. These things are fantastic. For starters, they are LARGE and LONG, longer in fact than the entire bottom edge of my snowblower. Where the original hunks of bent metal (a marvel of engineering, indeed) were shorter than the bottom of the housing, which was starting to make the edges wear and bend, these cover the entire bottom and then some, making the sides much stronger, probably stronger than they were when the thing was brand new. They are a hard poly plastic, so they slide beautifully over ANY surface. Installation was a dream, with an offset cam for one of the bolts for precise adjustment for virtually any make or model. While the price is much higher than most replacement skids, keep in mind that they come 2 in a pack, where most replacement shoes are individual items to purchase. They are also reversible- when the bottom gets worn down, just flip them over and tighten the bolts, and you're good for another few seasons. So, for the "steep" price, you are essentially getting FOUR shoes, rather than one.If you are looking for something to make your snow removal easier (and who doesn't want that?), then get these replacement shoes, even if your snowblower doesn't need them yet. It's no hype and it's no joke, these things are awesome.Winter, do your worst. I'm so ready for you.

Great Electric Snow Blower
March 3, 2017
I live in Northern Virginia (near DC) and last winter (Jan 2016) we got 36 inches of snow spread over 2 days. This was the first time I had a chance to put my new Snow Joe to work. I ran the machine after the wave of snow (about 12 inches). Overnight another 20+ inches came in. The federal government and all schools were closed. It was slow going but this machine just kept chugging and blowing snow until my driveway was clear.
Great snow thrower for the price. Really does the job for my 4 car wide driveway and sidewalks.
January 4, 2017
I've owned my Snow Joe since Nov 2015. This winter is setting records for our area. More snow than ever before in recorded history. None of my neighbors had snow throwers. Well, that is until this winter. Watching me clear my 4 car driveway in just minutes while they slave away manually shoveling theirs. So, I began doing my next door neighbors driveway as he is elderly. Then have loaned it out to two other neighbors across the street. My elderly neighbor now owns a snow joe and my neighbor across the street ordered his today.
Pros: Really throws the snow, especially fresh stuff when the temperature is cold enough to keep it frozen.
Even though it's not self propelled, you can just about push it as fast as you can walk and it will clear the path in front of you.
I like the LED lamp and very torquey motor. Doesn't bog down unless the snow is very heavy.
Cons: Theres room for improvement. 1) If you have ANY imperfections in your surface over 1/8" the snow joe will catch it and stop so fast it will just about throw you over the handlebars. 2) The LED lamp is not really bright enough to help unless it is pitch dark outside. 3) The chute throws about 95% of the snow in the direction it is pointed, but about 5% of it shoots to the right. What this means is that if you begin at the right side of your driveway, it will constantly shoot 5% of the snow over swaths you have just cleared. This can be remedied by starting on the left side of the driveway. 4) If you use ice melt on your driveway after cleaning it, the snow joe will have problems clearing the next snowfall due to the slushy snow below. It's best to just not use snow melt if you want to use the snow joe to its fullest.
Summation: Look at the photos so you can see my snow joe in action, clearing 6" of snow from my neighbors driveway. I'd buy it again, but really wish they would fix the annoying issue with the unit snagging any imperfection in the surface and add a guard to the left of the chute so it throws snow in only one direction.
Buy It !!
December 24, 2016
This is my second season using this snow thrower. Plug it in to a 100' cord and I can reach all my driveway and sidewalks...even get neighbors sidewalks (mostly). Love the adjustable direction so I'm not throwing snow straight ahead that I will have to run over again. Far more powerful than expected. Usually throws heavy snow about 10' and light snow over 15' to 20' depending on direction of discharge. Didn't think the headlights would be a big deal - I was wrong. Sun goes down so early in winter and having lights is extremely nice. Love it!!
A Thrower for 12 Inches of snow in Snowzilla
February 4, 2016
Snowzilla dumped 36 inches on our area in NoVa. We cleared once when the snow was 4 to 5 inches deep and the SnowJoe was really great. On Saturday morning the cars were gone, drifts were over four feet and all we could do was wait out the storm. When it abated we started by clearing a path to provide some maneuvering room and we then began widening it. Again the Snow Joe was a fantastic workhorse machine but it was clearly not in this weight class of storm. The snow was so deep in spots the ejection chute couldn't clear the top of the snow. We came up with a solution that saved the day! Since I'm in my later 60's my daughter would cut down the snow into a previously cleared area and we would use the machine to throw it from there. It worked like a charm and we cleared a 60 by 12 drive and 28 feet of walk way in about six or seven hours over two days. The guy across the street has a 36 inch high intake on a Yard Machine 2 stage thrower and he was only a couple of hours quicker. I wish I had the cordless but for $199 the corded 15 amp thrower is a steal and proven that it can tackle snow beyond the specification threshold. It is a great product.
Great Job
November 19, 2015
I am a disabled veteran and recently had cervical spine surgery (September 8th). I decided that I might need help in clearing my large deck when the snow arrived. This past Tuesday the snow arrived in southern Colorado with abandon (extreme winds) and it was piled much higher than the 12" that the Snow Joe was designed for. Well I wanted to get the deck cleared so I powered up the Snow Joe and went to work... remember I can't lift anything, since the surgery, over 8 lbs. The Snow Joe did a stellar job and I highly recommend it. I have attached a picture to show what I tackled on my deck in around 15 minutes. Consequently I highly recommend this electric snow blowing machine. BTW, this was not powder this was very heavy late fall snow.

Pretty solid with imperfections. Recommend
April 7, 2017
Pretty good and they obviously prevent scratching. They didn't fit my ariens two-stage blower as I had expected but it worked. A bit disappointed to see the bottoms worn after only one use... kind of makes me think they need replacement every few years or at a minimum adjusting the wear. Nonetheless these are significantly better than the stock shoes and are worth the coin.
Very nice upgrade - worth the money!
February 17, 2015
Just installed them on a 1992 Craftsman 5/22 two stage snowblower to replace the steel skids that had been replaced several times over the years. They new poly skids took literally 5 minutes to install. Just have a 1/2" socket and ratchet ready. Because they are plastic, they glide over surfaces very smoothly. However, because they are several inches longer than the original skids, they tend to float over snow rather than cut into the snow because of the increased surface area. I find myself lifting the handlebar on the snowblower so it clears closer to the pavement. A minor inconvenience for the ability to easily push the machine around like an upright vacuum cleaner rather than engage the self propulsion drive and creep along in light snow.
works pretty good
May 3, 2014
Because of the unusual amount of snowfall this winter the original metal shoes on the snow thrower purchased this year were completely worn out with at least a month left in the season. I have a very long concrete driveway that will put a lot of wear on the shoes. These were a little tricky to align because of being all poly. The bolts would be tightened to the point where I thought the plastic would crack and yet they could bump around and misalign when hitting the concrete seams. But for the most part they have done great. I would prefer a thick poly runner on a metal attachment plate. These shoes do make the snow thrower slide so much easier over the driveway .
Great Product - cant imagine wouldnt fit
March 21, 2014
These are like big snow shoes for your SB. There are enough holes that I cant imagine you coudlnt make it fit somehow. I needed a little elbow grease but got them to fit. They glide over pavement like a breeze.. The only complaint is because they are like big snow shoes they tend to get caught up when you hit hard snow from a previous storm or when you are trying to remove an existing snow pile... they just glide right up over and dont allow the snow blower to dig in. They stick out about 3/4 of inch on the sides so it catches a lot. I think next year I will adjust them back so they are not sticking out front and catching everything.
Hole spacing/dimensions, Fits Poulan Pro PR624ES
January 18, 2013
Since I don't see any reviews with hole spacing, here goes. From one end, the first hole is set back 2". The next hole is 1 1/4" on center from the first. The next hole is 1" on center from the second. The next (extra large) hole is 1 3/4" from the third hole. The last hole is also 1 3/4" from the extra large hole. All measurements are on center. Overall size roughly 3 1/4" by 10". Many reviewers have had problems installing these skids but I'm not sure this is the same product they reviewed. First of all, the large hole is for a slotted spacer which allows you to move the second bolt back and forth 1 inch. So you installed a bolt in one of the narrow holes(slots) and then install the second bolt through this cam/spacer and rotate the spacer until it's generally under the nut as best you can. Not complicated. On my Poulan PR624ES, also purchased from Amazon, I could get bolts through three holes if more bolts were provided. I can see instances where you may not be able to center the skids front to back, but that would not prevent them from working properly.
Fits my John Deere 1330SE
March 13, 2012
I was a little apprehensive to buy because there were others who found the holes didn't match up with their model snow blowers, but this worked out. That said, some of the slots on the shoes are wider than others, and to line up with my model, I had to use a set of very wide slots. This is fine I guess, as the vendor provides large washers to make up the space, but it does make for a slightly less secure installation than I'd like.We had an awful lack of snow this winter in Philadelphia, so I only was able to use these a couple times for some small 4" storms. However, I can definitely see a difference in that the stock shoes marred up my blacktop driveway no matter what. These make no marks on blacktop for me, and I even used them on my paver walkway without any marking at all.My one gripe is that I would like them to allow the blades on my blower to get as close as the stock skids, which go down to near zero clearance. These do not allow me to go closer than about 1/4-1/2 inch. But, since I have a steep slope, I scrape the drive off after using my blower anyway, and use lots of salt, so that's OK for me.I can't speak for length of life, but hope they last. Maybe the fast that they stick down more than I'd like will add to their life.

Great little snow blower.
January 11, 2017
I received this the night before a 5" snow storm. The storm was followed by freezing rain so by the time I got out to use this, it was a solid 4" of heavy wet snow. I purchased the yellow 12/3 100' extension cord with the blower, and I recommend you spend the extra money for the extreme weather version as the yellow one got annoyingly stiff and would not lay flat.

Anyway, the snow blower was easy to assemble in my living room (no oil or gas, so why not assemble inside where it's warm?) it is light weight and has a handle on top for lifting it into a truck or moving it over things in the garage. I was impressed with how it worked despite the heavy snow. I wouldn't recommend it for more than 4-5" of heavy wet snow but for powder it would chew through it like butter.

What would normally take me 2 hours of shoveling, was done in 25 minutes with this thing. And my back didn't hurt from lifting snow with a shovel. It is still a workout to push this thing through the snow if the snow is heavy though, but less time consuming and less work by far than shoveling. As with everything, I wish it had more power but 15 amps is the limit of what most people's homes can supply. I run mine using a 20amp adapter through the rv plug in my rv garage so this on its own circuit.

Get a cold weather flexible cord though, dealing with 100ft of stiff 12 Guage cord is a real chore during operation and when putting it away. All in all very satisfied, this will make a great non stinky addition to my snow tools.
AWESOME!!!
November 27, 2016
Only used it for one day so far, but this little thing i champion. I do snow removal, and offer deck clearing as part of my contracts. for years I've been breaking my back clearing them with a shovel. This little blower f*#(*$ rocks!! light enough to carry up a flight of stairs, with enough power to clear 12" of snow easily. Only reason for 4 stars is the way the handle attaches to the main body is very flimsy. I replaced the one bolt it comes with with 4 from the hardware store and problem solved.
Not bad for an electric snow blower.
May 23, 2016
I had this for one season before rating this product.
As all electric units, the snow clearing effectiveness relies mostly on the muscles in your arms. If you can "push" the blower through the snow, it will clear it. Unlike most gas units which are self propelled (making it easier to clear deep snow).
Don't let the width of the unit fool you... You might be able to clear a wider path in one shot, but you'll have to "push" that much extra weight of the snow, specially wet snow.
I chose this unit not for the clearing width, but because of the horizontal bar handle. Most units have a single grip control for one hand, which can get tiring after a while,by his unit has the bar control, allowing the user to switch hands to rest, manage the extension cord, etc.
PS... Make sure you pick up a GFCI outlet or extension cord with built-in circuit breaker.
Snowpocalypse 2016 Report with SnowJoe
January 22, 2016
Snowpocalypse 2016 Report with SnowJoe: 8:50PM I just did my first driveway pass with about 8" on the ground, and it did a pretty good job. I would have liked a more aggressive scraper bar, but I think the blower's light weight is what really causes the scraper not to dig in. In the deeper plow made drift at the end of the driveway, where I was looking at very heavy 12-16" depths, the blower did an admirable job. Just be sure to go slowly and to not to bite off too much at once. In the deepest places, I took less than half the blower width at a time, and the job was done. I usually dig out a path for the dogs in the back yard for them to get outside and do their thing, and I gingerly used the SnowJoe this time, lifting the front edge slightly to not allow it to dig in and it performed flawlessly. I will update this review through the weekend, as it looks like we are going to get more than 2 feet of snow over the next 24 hours.

UPDATE, After the storm: So as I expected, the SnowJoe worked well with the rest of the snow we received. The deeper stuff was a challenge, but I kept up my technique of knocking it down with a shovel and then useing the SnowJoe to blow it away. All told this snow blower kept up to the task with 30" of snow. In 2010 by comparison, we received about 20" of snow here and it took me 8.5 hours to clean off my driveway by shovel alone. This year, with much more snow, I was able to do the same job in around 3.5. I'm still very satisfied with this machine, it is certainly adequate for the amount of snow we normally get in the mid-atlantic, and it is capable of making the large amounts much easier to deal with.

Okay for the price.

I live in Iowa and do about 8 senior citizens drives every time it snows which is usually about 10 times each winter. Only use it when there is more than a couple of inches. Each side of the skid wears out in one winter's time. Thought they would be more durable.

Not For An Ariens...
March 21, 2016
I returned them. They will not fit an Ariens 28" without a lot of spacers used as the mounting holes on the auger housing are recessed. They did appear to be well constructed with both 5/16 and 3/8" bolts and related washers supplied. If you need to space out the shoes more than 1/4" or so longer bolts will be needed.
smaller than they look
October 31, 2015
smaller than I thought they would be. other reports are giving false dimensions. these are less that 3/4 of an inch wide and barley 10 inches long. I do like the material but I thought I was buying a bigger, heftier product.
Sturdy construction. Many hardware mounting sizes included.
January 20, 2014
Product is good for what it is intended. I am not able to use this because the entire width of my auger housing is not flat. Tightening this to the housing causes the shoe to bow inward and prevents proper adjustment. An additional spacer of some type would be required between the housing exterior and this shoe for a proper fit. (Sears 6.5HP 2 stage)

August 26, 2017
Used in our harsh North Dakota winter last year where we had repeated snow fall, but I needed something more than my darn shovel to save my back. This little guy did a decent job helping me clean up light snowfall, or at least stay ahead of big buildups where we were getting several inches over night. It will not work anything over 7-8 inches in front of the blade; it's simply too much to practically use. But that is indeed the trade-off. I should have bought a bigger gas-powered blower, but I don't plan on staying in ND forever, so this was a solid compromise.

CON: I could use a sturdier handlebar system, this one seems it might break if I keep pushing, so I'm constantly babying it.
less amounts of snow or don't mind spending a good deal of time in a storm
February 13, 2017
Snow blower is decent for lesser accumulations of snow and mainly pathways. I purchased this to help out until we can buy a large gas snow blower. I live in NH and we get several inches of snow each storm so in order to keep up with the storm I spend a large chunk of time outside during the storms. If I wait until the storm is over it's it's very hard work (especially if the snow is heavy) to use this snow blower since it is not self propelled. So all in all if you have small areas to clear, less amounts of snow or don't mind spending a good deal of time in a storm, then this is a decent product. I keep telling myself that it's better than shoveling.
Its very light and easy to maneuver and perfect for my decks
January 5, 2017
It powers through dry snow quite well but I find the shoot needs to be redesigned. It isn't tall enough to direct the snow properly without it falling all over the machine. The base part needs to be longer and the adjustable deflector shorter. This would create a smoother transition and direct the snow where you want it to go. Its very light and easy to maneuver and perfect for my decks. The price was right and I like it so far.
Machine appears well made and putting together was easy. Just my luck
March 25, 2016
Machine appears well made and putting together was easy. Just my luck, this got baptized during the blizzard after 4ft of snow. It could not work its way thru that. But it worked fine with 2 inches of snow on another occasion. best for light snow removal
however the chute doesn't move as much as I'd like to control the direction of blowing Because it's light
January 30, 2016
Just used it after storm Jonas and 30 inches of snow. Clearly this is not designed to cope with that depth of snow, so we used it 5 times over the weekend to chip away at the drive as it snows. It did a decent job, some things to consider:

It feels a little flimsy, it's not very sturdy/hardy
It throws the snow an 'ok' distance, however the chute doesn't move as much as I'd like to control the direction of blowing
Because it's light, it doesn't get right down to the asphalt like a heavier unit

So it's ok, if you get a light fall every year, go for it. If you get 2 or 3 bigger storms, spend up.

Good idea, but after a winter of use
April 10, 2016
Good idea, but after a winter of use, I'll go back to the OE steel shoes. Would probably be better if the were made for each model so that they fit better.
you may like them, I did not.
February 5, 2016
I bought these in 2012, and put them on. In the 4 years I used them, I noticed that the blower would have a tendency to lift up above the snow, especially if the snow was heavy and wet. After the last blizzard we had, snow was heavy and wet, the skids kept trying to climb the snow, and they were made too wide so it would pack in the snow by the skid and stop the blower dead in its tracks. I finally took them off and tossed them. Put the original skids back on and couldn't be happier.
The plastic sides were it meets the blower are smooth ...
November 2, 2015
The plastic sides were it meets the blower are smooth and not notched, so on a heavier blower it will slide down over time and start wearing the scraper blade. I tried too tighten the bolts, but it bit into the plastic leaving a permanent indentation so leveling the scraper blade were it needs to be can be difficult.

not 100% as specified
March 17, 2013
Out of the box they looked like the perfect match; however; only 2 of the 5 holes matched my Troybilt blower that has 3 original mounting locations. The concept of NO rusty marks on the garage floor is absolutely a plus factor, but after the first 2 hour use, the bucket edge was dragging the driveway indicating my set-up spacing of 3/32 had worn down after a short stretch of time. I'll have to set much higher than with conventional steel shoes to compensate for the QUICK wear factor . The claim of longer wear isn't as stated. Going back to " tried and true "steel shoes with hardface weld on the wear surface.

February 9, 2017
I'm so disappointed. Just tried it in heavy snow. Anything more than 2-3 inches, and the spout repeatedly gets clogged. I would have to stop to punch out the snow, and continue moving very slowly. You also have to stop to adjust the angle of the spout constantly because the force of the snow coming out pushes the spout upward. Finally, assembly was kind of a pain, and it's just not well-made. One of the locking mechanisms just doesn't work.

Beats the heck out of shoveling the wet stuff we get in central Virginia. It also seems to keep snow away as it has not snowed since I bought it.
Subsequent snows have revealed a severe flaw, the discharge chute is rough textured inside and wet snow of 8" is a clog producing mess. I dropped the review to 2 stars because of the flaw. Additionally the chute has two bolts that will not tighten and if the deflector is not upright the chute clogs immediately.
Disappointed
March 23, 2016
Works great... when you have the magic snow at just the right weight and depth. This machine is no match for March snow, at any depth. Apparently wet snow gums it up and stops it working. I got this so my parents wouldn't have to shovel, they've shoveled more than used the machine so far this winter.

Not impressed used them in one storm and one of the Universal washers fell off
Better information on the product (which models it will fit) ...
January 3, 2017
I only gave this one star because the information on the product said "fits most 2 stage snowblowers". I did not fit my Briggs model 1696619 due to the bolt locations. Better information on the product (which models it will fit) would have prevented me from wasting $28. Be careful!
Don't waste your money

Don't waste your money. It is simple, these slide shoes slip. You tighten them, they slip and you tighten them and check the nonslip nuts, they slip, and so on.... If they don't fit exactly into the smaller slots and you have to use the large slot with the cam slide, it will slip.
Don't fit Honda snowblowers
October 25, 2015
Bought these for my Honda HS50 and found them impossible to install with the variety of holes/slots provided. None matched so I had to enlarge the slots make them fit. These came with a large bag of bolts, washers and nuts, but none were useable on my Honda. The shoes work somewhat, but the plastic is way too soft & slippery and won't hold in place. I bought additional large flat washers and star washers, but even then, the shoes still don't stay where I set them. You can't keep the bolts tight since the plastic 'relaxes' days after tightening. These were a waste of money .
Too much work to install on Toro
September 17, 2015
It was a jury rig and difficult install for my Toro 724. There were so many ways that this could have been done easier if Arnold had provided some basic instructions when you have to "big hole" in shoe to get it installed on my Toro. Unless you are absolutely sure your snow blower can use the smaller holes, stay away from this product. Don't believe other reviews that say it works on Toro. After an hour I did finally get it installed, but have zero confidence the bolts will hold in the rigors of winter snow blasting.
Didn't Work

These didn't work for me.The eccentric dowel was not very good. They moved and when really tightened, they bent.I ended up buying steel ones and they work well.

Dead on arrival! Doesn't turn on not even the led lights turn on. I even tried a different extension cord rated for 15 amp and doesn't turn on at all. Not even the built on flash light.

Not well designed or made
February 9, 2017
Bought this at the beginning of the season and just had the first opportunity to use it. The chute clogged at every push and is nearly impossible to unclog- as a matter of fact, while trying to unclog the chute for the third time, the plastic diverter cracked. Not an item I would recommend and because I bought it 6a weeks ago, I am ineligible for a return- do not buy this. I had a smaller Toro for 10 years that I loved before it broke and unfortunately I chose this instead.
only good for fluffy happy snow
February 3, 2016
only good for fluffy happy snow. anything heavier will bog this thing immediately. unlike gas units, this won't propel itself. you end up having to repeatedly smash the thing into the snow to get anywhere. on packed or heavy snow kw, you're honestly better off shoveling. you're basically pushing an automatic broom.
