Happy with my new keyboard.
September 3, 2017
Nice looking keyboard - 3 backlight settings with the key on the top right plus off. Totally solves my problem using keywords with strange characters in them in the dark. It remembers the light settings you choose after it is turned off. Quiet keys with a positive keystroke feel. Not much else I could want for (other than perhaps media control keys (pause, play, stop). The backspace key is not as large as my previous keyboard, and in the 6 key cluster, the 'insert' key is gone to be replaced with a double sized delete key. I think I like this new arrangement better. The illumination is very well done. 3X as expensive as my other illuminated keyboard but I'm happy with my choice.
Love it. Glitched out but Logitech replaced for free
November 29, 2016
Product worked beautifully until today (7 months later) when the Caps lock key decided to just work whenever it wants. :,-( Noooo!Too expensive to have this kind of problem. I tried lifting the key and cleaning underneath to make sure it wasn't just a debris problem and it's completely clean. Too bad because I loved this keyboard.UPDATE: I called Logitech to see if they could walk me through troubleshooting the problem. They said it seemed like a hardware issue and that they would ship me a replacement for free, knowing that i purchased it on Amazon. UMMMM what?!?!? THAT'S AWESOME!! What amazing customer service!!!! They've won my business for life. I'm so grateful because this is my favorite keyboard I've ever used and I was really bummed about this. YAY! Would definitely recommend. 5 stars all the way!case no 04444554
I refuse to buy any other keyboard
April 10, 2016
Once upon a time, I searched long and hard for a basic, practical, wired and illuminated keyboard. It was a frustrating process sifting through all of the ugly, tacky "gaming" keyboards, but I finally found this little beauty, and never looked back.Simple, mature design, and individually lighted keys that have a nice feel, and good feedback. This model has been on the market forever, and is probably still the best wired and illuminated keyboard out there. My biggest gripe is that the F keys arent fully lit. Only the alternate functions are illuminated, and I dont use them enough to associate the alt function symbols with their respective F number.A couple of things to keep in mind:While it is more than sturdy enough to handle constant use, it isnt built to handle big impacts. I had to buy another one after giving my old one a hefty slam with my fist during a bout of gaming. Even though it remained perfectly functional, the J key was dislodged, and I managed to break the clasps trying to get it back in.I also discovered it isnt waterproof after giving an even older one a bath... It can handle common spills, but if you run it under a warm faucet for a few minutes trying to clean it, you might run into some issues.
Perfect keyboard
February 10, 2016
Been using this keyboard for the last 6 or 7 years. I spilled coffee all over one, so just got a new one. That was a rough couple of days, using some other clunky feeling keyboard. The keyboard is stunning and has very clean and crisp back-lighting that shines mostly only through the laser engraved characters on the keys instead of in the spaces between. They keyboard is very thin, but has collapsible feet on the back if you want to lift it up. They keys are perfectly spaced. The amount of movement in the press of the keys is perfect.
Logitech Illuminated Keyboard 920-000914
August 1, 2015
I have to say that this is my favorite keyboard ever owned. The look is sleek and modern without appearing like some alien technology. The illumination levels are adjustable and I prefer medium or low (3 levels). I've seen keyboards with something like 200 levels of brightness and I can't say that I see much practicality in that. The switches in these are of the scissor type which is typical of laptop keys. In my opinion the amount of pressure it takes to depress each key is ideal. The keystroke is short, but I don't feel as if my fingers are jarred at the bottom. It is not noiseless, but not excessive. I find the clicking of the keys very satisfying. I type faster and more accurately with this as compared to some other boards. I'm learning to use a mechanical keyboard, but at this point the Logitech is still my preferred board.I'm sorry, but I'm not sure if there are reprogramable hot keys. I have Logitech software installed for several keyboards but I can't find the settings for this one. I'm sure this info is easy to find.In conclusion, this board would be a fantastic upgrade for almost any board, especially the stock pieces of junk that come with desktop computers. I would recommend this over any rubber dome type keyboard. You will find that with the shorter keystrokes your typing speed may improve. Those who like mechanical keyboards may like this as well, although this is highly subjective. Fortunately, many computer stores have this on display so you can try it before you buy it, which is a huge plus. I would rate this 5 1/2 stars if I could as I could not find a single negative thing to say about it. Well, with the palm rest it may take up just a little extra real estate on your desktop than other keyboards. There is a wireless version which is similar to this, but I like the feel of typing on this better. I used to much prefer wireless keyboards and mice for everything. However, after going back to corded it just feels more responsive. How often do you really have to move your keyboard and mouse anyway? Plus, no more dead batteries.
Best keyboard I have ever used
April 4, 2015
This is by far the best keyboard I have ever used. I key 8+ hours a day in my work so comfort is very important. I noticed that some have criticized the fact that the keyboard lays completely flat, but ergonomically, keying with the wrists straight is the correct hand posture. After over 30 years of using keyboards, I have no issues with my hands or wrists by following that advice. I prefer to work in a low light environment so having a lighted keyboard is convenient, even for a touch typist. Having the keyboard corded saves on batteries, which lighted cordless keyboards can really eat up. I gave it five stars, in spite of my dislike of the placement of the insert and delete keys. Insert is a "hot" key for me which I use very frequently, and in editing I use delete very often too. My hands are fairly small so having to constantly reach to the very top row for the insert key is inconvenient. Also, I would have preferred that the function keys (F1, F2, F3, etc.) were lighted instead of the icons. Having said that, it is still the best keyboard I have found and to further confirm that opinion, after using the first one for a while, I ordered a second to have as a spare in case they stop making this model.

Affordable quality keyboard
August 7, 2017
I wanted a keyboard that lit up, and I didn't want to spend a lot of money. This was the cheapest keyboard I found, and it lights up in a cool blue that looks awesome. The build quality feels pretty solid, has a little weight to it. Along with lighting up it has a volume knob that feels sturdy and works as expected. Working great so far. Saw some people had issues with the keys wearing off, I've been using it for almost 2 months, and mine all look fine, but I'm considering trying a clear coat on the keys to help protect them just in case, but so far, I'm not worried about it.
LOVE IT!
May 8, 2016
Love it.... easily see keys in low light. I'm a finger pecker and this keyboard is perfect. Brightness is just right, and cool blue is awesome. Who the heck needs 50 different colors?!?!? Key noise is average, type pressure is perfect. Key paint appears to be durable, will update if it's not. I actually tried to peel it off, that was a no go... I bought two, one for my dad who's getting older (87) he loved it, but the numbers lock was inoperable right out of the box. I called Azio, a very nice gentleman answered the phone immediately and told me to send it back under the Amazon 30 day returns. Amazon sent me a shipping label, and it was done. I feel this is a quality product, and Amazon is the place to get it. No, I didn't get a free one, I paid for them both...
Great Product! Definite buy!
January 13, 2016
Prior to buying this i was using a razor keyboard which was great but wasn't back lit. That proved to be a pretty big problem, given that i type in the dark like most people. Another issue of man is that i wanted something that made my rig look good as well. I have a custom built PC with a black and blue theme partnered with 3 ASUS 21.5 inch monitors. As you can tell i take my rig's look very serious and i would love to have good looking keyboard(s). I've done my research and i am not to caring for the type of mechanics of a keyboard. I don't have too high standards, as long as i can play tomb raider and CS:GO and OSU, then i am fine. so my main target was something good looking and back lit. I saw several designs models and basically things that were not needed. Then i came across the beautiful price of $20 for a gaming keyboard that is back lit and has a volume wheel as well. AZIO took all the credentials i wanted and put them into a great priced, good looking, back lit, efficient gaming keyboard... With a Palm rest!!!! This thing is so comfortable. So first out of the amazon box i saw not one but my Two Keyboards (loved the price so much that i got two). The Manufacture's boxing was perfect, Not bulking or filled with useless space. It was also a cool looking box, plain flat black with a logo in the center. Plug the boards in an automatically knew my hard nights trying to find my AWSD Keys were over. Some complain the brightness of the lights isnt too good. Well you aren't directing traffic with them so as long as you can see then your fine (Need i remind you these are 20 bucks). Second the volume nob works great. No more navigating the mouse over to the volume mixer. Lastly the feel and loudness of the keys are just fine. The keys arent too noisy neither too quiet. On another note although this isn't a mechanical keyboard the AZIO Levetron L70 Provides a smooth typing and gaming feel. I love these two and i am a very satisfied customer. Thank you Amazon for the quick shipping and more importantly Thank you AZIO for coming up with a great product.
Quality Keyboard
July 10, 2015
I purchased this along with the Azio USB Gaming Mouse (GM2400) and it is great. I really like the backlight color that it has, also a plus is that you can turn the lights on and off. I also feel very comfortable when i am typing on this keyboard, also it allows me to press many keys at once without having an issue, which is important in some games. There is also a volume modifier at the top right which is a great addition to the keyboard incase you want to change your music volume quickly. It is also a very affordable keyboard if you don't want to buy a really expensive keyboard. Also the arm rest the comes with it is good, i just feel like i don't need it, also i don't have any space for it on my desk. I honestly feel like it is great over all. I would definitely recommend this to my gaming buddies.
Azio L70 Keyboard is a bargain
March 2, 2015
This keyboard is a real bargain. I bought the product based on reviews and the need for backlit keys. The key action is very good. The volume control is something I did not care about but it is very useful. Turn it cw for more volume and ccw for less volume. I set my amplifier volume control to the maximum level I can have for my speakers and use the keyboard volume control for fine tuning. The wrist rest is at an ideal ergometric angle and is another feature that I had not considered in the initial purchase. The USB connection is "plug and play" as is typical with keyboards. Sound volume is controlled via the USB -- No separate volume wire is used. The backlit keys are illuminated with blue light. There is a key on the keyboard to turn the illumination on or off. There is no light level adjustment but the light level is satisfactory without adjustment. (3/23/15) I have used the keyboard for about a month. Everything stills works properly. I especially find the rotary volume control to be useful. UPDATE 6/21/15 ---- Keyboard still works perfectly. This is the best keyboard I have ever owned.
I really like it. For the money
January 9, 2015
I really like it. For the money, you get exactly what you pay for. The volume knob is a welcome feature that I never really knew I needed. It goes well with my new mouse too! The keyboard is just a little more compact when compared to my last, but not a problem for me. I actually am starting to prefer the smaller setup.

July 17, 2017
I was concerned about the shipping packaging, but it turned out fine. I like that you can change the lighting feature and the keys are so smooth and easy to type on. I like the feeling of typing on this keyboard. For me it was worth the extra expense. I take away one star for lacking a button for putting the computer to sleep. The software I downloaded doesn't seem to allow you to assign any of the keys for making the computer go to sleep. That is the one thing I like about the junk keyboard that I got with the computer.
Nice Keyboard...
September 12, 2016
I own a few of these. One at home connected to my 27" iMac. The other goes with me to work. I do contract IT work so I take one from job to job. This is a long term review as I bought them in 2012.The backlighting is really cool and the lettering is sharp. After four years it still works great even though my powered hub at home keeps it lit 24/7. Logitech replaced one because a key broke and there have been no problems since. I can type so much faster on these than on a standard keyboard and the wrist rest placement is perfect. There are no problems using it with Mac or PC.I'm writing and deducting one star however because of the rubberized coating on the wrist rest. Like many products, Logitech decided to spray on a rubber coating which over time turns sticky and eventually scrapes off. It always looks dirty and is impossible to clean. At work, I keep my work area clean with Clorox Disinfecting Wipes. No, they don't contain bleach and are very mild. I've never seen them ruin any surface.Lately, I've cleaned my trackball, keyboard, phone, and desk frequently because I've had a cold and today I came in and realized that the wrist rest had a very sticky/tacky feel. I rubbed on the area and the rubber started to come off. I wasn't surprises because I've see this on mice, universal remotes, older IBM Thinkpad laptops, cameras... It always comes off in time.So I proceeded to spend a long time with cleaning wipes, rubbing alcohol, a towel, and my finger nails and got it all off. To my surprise, the feel is better and it's easy to keep clean! The bare plastic surface underneath is nice! So why??? And it's kind of funny how Logitech printed their logo ontop of the rubber coating and underneath on the base plastic... They knew it would come off but wanted their logo to remain. It is my favorite keyboard on the market, they've lasted me years, and I highly recommend it. Like so many products it just could have been better without the coating.
A quiet, efficient illuminated keyboard
July 28, 2016
While I still have and like my Logitech G710+ mechanical keyboard, a change in venue (move) meant I was going to need a quieter keyboard for my tower - the G710+ was a little on the loud side, particularly late at night. At this point, I was not going to settle for a non-illuminated keyboard, so that limited my choices. The K740 didn't have as many programmable keys as the G710+, but the keys themselves were almost identical to what I have on my laptop (Clevo P770), so it would be relatively familiar and comfortable.Once I received it, my expectations of the keys were correct - very similar to the Clevo and much quieter than the G710+. And like the Clevo, the LED backlighting was more even in the keys but not as bright as the G710, but still very usable and easy to work with in low ambient light. While I liked the extra programmable G-keys on the G10, I adjusted my tiles in the Windows 10 start menu to make the apps I use most easier to access with just the Start key, so I'm not losing the efficiency. The only drawback I've found is the double-sized Delete key, which moves the Insert key to the F-key line. Still not fully used to that after a couple of months, but I'll get there. Otherwise, it's just what I need in my new locale. Illuminated, quiet, efficient, and easy to type.
This is a really good keyboard with a wonderfully light touch
April 2, 2015
This is a really good keyboard with a wonderfully light touch. Function keys are grouped into blocks of four and are easy to hit without mistakes, after you settle in. The only problem is that, of the three copies of this keyboard that I now own, one of them reliably gets the S and V keys stuck down. It's the usual cheap manufacturing that Logitech does, and this is why I stayed on Microsoft keyboards for so many years. But lately I wanted a much lighter touch, along with tapered keys that allow me to feel where my fingers belong. This keyboard does all that, and if it didn't jam, it would be perfect.Well, there is also the issue that the keys squeak slightly, sometimes, again due to cheap manufacturing. I'd pay N times as much for non-cheap manufacturing, but such are not the choices given to me.Given the realities of the marketplace in 2015, the smart thing to do here is to just buy another keyboard and hope that it doesn't jam, and it seems like the odds are in my favor. Actually, I should have done that earlier; I'm sure Amazon will let me swap at least once.No one else makes what I want; anything that comes close tends to be wireless these days, which is just so spectacularly stupid for a keyboard that I don't even know where to start. OK, I'll start here: given that wireless is full of traffic, whether at home or at work, you are going to experience delays in getting your key press sent to the computer. And of course you'll be buying batteries and changing them periodically, all so that you can...what, *move* your keyboard around more easily? What, are you kidding? Or do you regularly pick up your keyboard and wander 30 feet away from your computer? Anyway, wired is what you want if you're working on computers all day.
Great Lighted Keyboard for "Light" Typing, Not for rough gamers!
March 27, 2015
Light's up wonderfully with 3 brightness settings. Each key is independently lit from behind (see photo) and the motion of the keys when typing just feels good and solid.HOWEVER- I have had this keyboard for only 5 months and the " I " key just popped off and it is not easy to put it back on unless you want to void the 3-year warranty. I have to return the product to Logitech directly for the to replace this keyboard. Also you will need to relearn hitting that "back" button and "Delete" buttons which have been moved around some.Bottom Line:It's a delicate keyboard that I would not recommend for gamers or heavy typers. But if your a light typer and like a "laptop styled fully lighted keyboard" then this keyboard might just be for you. I really enjoyed it while it lasted and wil be contacting Logitech for return information or maybe another keyboard since I tend to type with emotion (getting angry pounding out letters) which this keyboard did not like.
This Keyboard Lights Up My Long Nights
March 10, 2015
I spend a lot of time on the computer for both work and pleasure; I do a lot of writing for both in particular. I recently have switched from a laptop to a full desktop, so the need to a functional, up-to-date keyboard was a definite must and I had just enough cash to try something new. This is where the Logitech Illuminated Keyboard comes into play.I love this thing. Granted, this is a new luxury for me to have a backlit keyboard in general, but it totally exceeded my expectations.PROS- The lights on the keyboard are an even white; this is a good colour that isn't overtly flashy or distracting.- There are three settings to adjust said lights depending on need and desire.- Keys are light and smooth to type on. Everything flows off my fingertips.- Typing isn't very loud and not distracting.- Surprisingly nice to play video games with (I play MMORPGs when I have time, and all the keybinds are functional—except for scroll lock. If I'm missing where the scroll lock key is, please tell me!)- Nifty extra function buttons. I don't need most of them, but maybe I'll start utilizing them.CONS- Gets dusty rather easily.- Slightly difficult to clean.- The F1 - F12 as well as the Print Screen and Pause/Break buttons do not light up; however, the function icons on top of the keys light up in a dull orange.OVERALLI think this is a great product. The cons are something that I can get over, considering that everything else works incredibly well and nothing majorly important is put aside (objectively to me). I hope others who buy this product will be just as pleased with it as I am.

Great board For the price
June 25, 2017
I am super happy with this keyboard its goes great with my set up i couldn't have asked for a better unboxing experience either. The way this keyboard is packaged it is much better than many top of the line keyboards. I love the way the keys feel under my fingers. The slight click to them is almost mechanical but at the same time very soft. The volume knob is very convenient for quick access with out having to use a command key and then another button like some other keyboards. The only drawbacks of this board would be the led lighting is very lacking on the F command keys and the number pad. I also wish this board came in other colors than black. I think that the a white housing with black keys would be very nice. Other than those its an amazing typing experience.
I got this mostly because it looks cool and has a wrist rest
June 1, 2017
I got this mostly because it looks cool and has a wrist rest.Pros:-Looks cool-Wrist rest is awesome-Volume adjustment knob is convenient-Keys are ok-PriceCons:-Keys are just okay (especially the space bar has a slight sticky feel)-Other reviewers have said the paint on the keys wears off (I have not experienced this yet after about a month of regular use)-Cable is average qualityIf you really can't spend any more than $20, I'd recommend this keyboard. But overall, I'd probably recommend you just spend a little more and find something higher quality.
Great keyboard for office use
April 10, 2017
Good keyboard for what it is. The lights are evenly distributed, I only see one dim spot under the volume knob. The volume knob doesn't work through a KVM or USB hub, which messed me up a little bit, but I was surprised with the promptness and helpfulness of the Azio email support. They keys have a great feel to them. They're hefty and responsive, but not super loud. The wrist rest is comfortable but not amazing. The feel of the volume knob is also solid- it turns smoothly but you can feel the notches.I mostly just want to re-iterate how pleased I was with the customer service, which I was expecting would be very slow or non-existent for a brand of keyboard I had never heard of before. I'm pleased with this purchase. It's not a gaming keyboard, but it's a great keyboard for an office, which is what I got it for.My biggest negative about this keyboard is that it doesn't have a built-in USB hub. That would make it a perfect office or home office keyboard.
Great lit up keyboard!
February 25, 2017
I wanted a lit up computer keyboard and selected this Azio keyboard. It lights up blue all the time and seems well built. The keys seem to feel nice while typing & light up bluish. There is a volume knob on this keyboard...works in conjunction with my desktop just fine. A nifty feature as I play music a lot while on my computer. There is a large plastic wrist support that comes with this keyboard and easily connects to the bottom of the keyboard....very nice also! Keyboard connects by way of USB 2.0 on any computer with no problems. I have also had no major issues so far with this keyboard and like it so much, I decided to get another one as a back up.
which is good for gaming
April 27, 2016
The backlight is not nearly as bright as the product images make it appear, but it is doable. The keys are definitely NOT mechanical however, they are easier to press than a standard keyboard, which is good for gaming. The sound of the keys is not even close to the sound of mechanical key switches... it's not loud or clicky, which is actually my preference -- it's close to silent, for a keyboard at least. Aesthetically, the keyboard is pleasing to look at. Also, there are many reviews complaining about the keys flaking off after much use. I knew this when I purchased the item but that should not be a deterrent for any true gamer from buying this keyboard because for a few extra dollars, the keycaps can be replaced with higher quality ones better suited for gaming. I had no intention of keeping the keycaps anyway and for $22 it's really hard to find legitimate problems with this product.
An overall good product with room for improvement
February 28, 2015
This is a great keyboard if you are just starting out in the whole gaming pc scene and are looking for something that both works well and looks nice. I am typing this review from the keyboard, and I seem to be writing very long sentences mainly because I love the way this thing sounds when it types. I have taken a few typing tests with this keyboard, and although it is only my first week with the keyboard I am able to type around 110-120 WPM compared to the 130-140 I usually type. The keyboard is very easy to get used to and the backlights are very clear. The legs on the back seem to be sturdy and elevate the back of the keyboard by about 1/2 an inch.Unlike some other keyboards that use the Scroll Lock key to turn on and off the brightness, there is a specific key located next to the Left Alt key that is used solely for toggling the brightness. The volume button is a great addition, and best of all the keyboard doesn't require you to install or configure any drivers.Don't get me wrong, though, the switches on the keyboard definitely aren't Cherry MX's and there are many areas in which the keyboard could improve. The keys do take a fair amount of pressure to press down, but it is something that is not hard to get used to. The space bar seems to have a more sensitive switch than the keys, which can be a bit hard to adjust to starting out. Also, the keys sometimes seem to double-type the same letter due to the fact that they are hard to press down and can sometimes stay stuck down for a split second and duplicate a letter. The only other complaint I have about this keyboard besides the switches is the detachable palm rest that comes with it. From the picture, it may look like a comfortable foam-like insert that fits neatly into the keyboard. However, the one I received was a hard piece of plastic with no foam or soft coating on it whatsoever. I don't have it attached as it actually seems to hurt my wrists more than having my palms wrest on my desk.

I want to love this keyboard
October 16, 2017
I want to love this keyboard.. but i don't. The keys have an alright feel, but unless you are pushing straight down on them they can catch slightly throwing you off rhythm. Left CTRL, ENTER, and sometime the SPACE bar especially. I also had the W key snap off just during normal typing, not sure what happened. The keyboard has a good feel to it but with the above issue, not sure it's worth it's price.
Excellent keyboard with an apparent design defect
March 4, 2017
This would be a 5* keyboard if not for one apparent design defect: the left control key rubs.I'm on my second (replacement) keyboard of the same model and the issue is present in both. The left control key sits slightly above the enclosure; the key itself shifts slightly left and right by a few millimeters. If you strike down towards the right of that key, the bottom will catch and rub against the enclosure. For a keyboard that's otherwise high quality, fairly expensive and with such design polish, this is a disappointment. The keyboard is otherwise excellent: key travel is crisp and has the right amount of resistance, design is clean, backlighting looks good and is practical when working at night.

September 23, 2016
Pros:- Sturdy- Looks fantastic- Well light with the option to disable.- Keys are well placed in a manor that you would expect of a full sized keyboard.- Fairly quiet. I would place this about just below the average on noise.- Great weight- Very thin- Elevated crtl, alt, spacebar, windows, and function keys as compared to the elevation of the other keysCons:- Keys feel a bit lose for my liking- Some keys aren't light properlyI'm not sure I'm going to stay with it because of the way the keys feel when typing.
Possible Quality Issues
April 9, 2016
I bought this keyboard because I had the feeling I would get a sturdy, back-lit keyboard from a trusted company as opposed to other companies that I've never heard of. So far, I've been a bit disappointed. I have now used this keyboard for 2 months and am already experiencing some issues with it. My left control key becomes stuck in a halfway down position very often and requires me to drag it in a specific direction for it to elevate back up to full height. In addition, while typing recently, the top plate of the 'u' key became dislodged on the right side from the platform underneath. I had to jam it back into place to fix it. This wasn't a huge issue and it works as well as it did before, but both of these issues give me some concern as to the longevity of this keyboard model. This keyboard still works well and the back light has no issues, but really, that's to be expected.
Nice keyboard but....
December 29, 2015
I really wanted to love this keyboard. The backlighting is exceptional. The keys are easy to read and their are several levels of backlighting to choose from. However, I returned the product because the "Escape" key wouldn't register key presses unless you pressed down firmly. None of the other keys suffered from this affliction. Given how the "Escape" key is the 2nd most used key for most people ("Enter" being the most used key), I had no choice but to return this keyboard.Fortunately, I bought this product from Amazon.com, which has OUTSTANDING customer service. The return was simple and effortless.
Palm rest materials degrade after a couple of years use. Otherwise an excellent keyboard.
June 9, 2015
One of the best backlit flat key style keyboards on the market. The only other keyboard that looks cooler to me is the Moshi Luna sold at the Apple Store. The biggest flaw with this keyboard is that built-in soft touch palm rest. The materials that make up the palm rest start to degrade in a bad tacky sort of way after a couple of years use. I have tossed a couple of these keyboards because of it. I really wish Logitech would make this model with a detachable palm rest or even sell a cheaper version without a palm rest altogether. I much prefer wired keyboards over wireless for my gaming needs so this fits the bill.

Most frequently used keys start to flake away after a few months
August 22, 2017
If you've seen other reviews i'm sure you know that the black plastic on the keys wearing out is an issue. Basically any keys that you rest your fingers on will start to disintegrate with time. I've had mine for 2 years and I don't mind not being able to see the keys since I took typing classes and can find the keys without looking at them, but I bought this particular keyboard solely for how it looks and the light up gimmick so it is disappointing that it's not made of more durable, lasting material.
I really like this keyboard

I really like this keyboard. The finish is good, the volume knob feels solid, there's a wrist rest included; overall it's well-built and seemingly well designed. The problem I'm having is that this keyboard was delivered to me less than three weeks ago and a few days ago, I started getting intermittent backlight issues. The Azio logo and volume knob's backlight keeps going on and off. It happens randomly, and I was unable to find any logical explanation in the documentation about any features that would make the backlight flash. I'm assuming that the LEDs are just failing. It's left a bad taste in my mouth, and I'm afraid that the problem will spread to the rest of my keyboard. That said, my first paragraph stands. It's well built, it looks good, the keys feel nice. It's a great keyboard for the price, I just wish it was more reliable.

May 22, 2017
The keyboard is a nice format. Key-feel is pretty good. Volume knob is nice. However, as many others here have mentioned, the coating on the keys begins to flake/wear off after only a little while. I have had the keyboard now for a couple of years, and while it doesn't really bother me much it may bother some. In a short while, I will have to trash this keyboard for another as the lighting will get annoying as it is no longer illuminated characters and just a bunch of blue blobs at my fingertips...

February 5, 2017
This is a good keyboard, but for to be considered a gaming keyboard for a budget, it lacks very much. When i got this keyboard i was super excited, ive been using the Steelseries Apex 100, the gaming keyboard they make for 30 bucks that is membrane but also have individual soft switches. which is what i thought the Azio L70 was.but far from it. this keyboard is great for typing, its very flat, the wrist wrest is really nice for being plastic. the whole keyboard is built extremely well for being 100% plastic. The blue LED is what sold me originally, because my Apex 100 illuminates around the keys, not through them, which is a huge dislike for gaming at night time with MMOs or other games you type a lot on. though this keyboard [L70] glows light through the keys displaying the Letter or Number. There is NO level adjustment, and the LEDs are quite dull, and you can see gaps in the letter on the keyboard, it almost looks like a different font all together in the dark. because its not a little light that shines through, but no light at all in some spaces.what it does have though is the dedicated volume knob which is really smooth and responsive, it has a windows key lock accompanied by a light indicating if its on or off. the side LEDs are a nice touch, but they are much brighter than the keys so in bright or dark environment, it just looks weird until you get used to it.Lastly, this is not a gaming keyboard, it has the same kind of membrane and keys as you would find in a 10 dollar Logitech keyboard, sure it looks cool, and thats what might sell you on it, but it doesnt offer anything worth the money in my opinion. The keyboard is so flat even when lifted on the back risers, that its hard to hit some keys accurately. my biggest issue was playing Final Fantasy XIV, where i hit Tab to switch targets, and Shift to use my second skill bar. I was constantly hitting Caps lock in stead of shift, and sometimes, not as much, would hit Tilda instead of Tab. for FPS games i found the keys to be too soft. example would be that when pressing W to move forward, and my hand resting on the keyboard i would sometimes strafe left or right, which ever key registered first. If you play competitive games like CSGO or R6, this can be a big problem resulting in a lose in some cases. If you dont game and want a flashy keyboard, spend the 30 bucks, why not. its sleek, has a nice rest, and the keys are comfortable to type on. but for gaming purposes only, and if youre on a budget, find a namebrand keyboard. Almost all companies make them now, even corsair has a membrane gaming keyboard for 50 dollars. Steelseries Apex 100 is 30 at wall mart. and logitech has the G501? for 40 dollars as well. and these are all really good non mechanical gaming keyboards.i hope this helped you guys.
Solid, but has some issues
December 30, 2015
The keyboard is fine, and meets most of my standards that I look for in a keyboard. I do have my share of problems with this piece of hardware though.Sometimes keys get somewhat stuck, requiring a significantly harder press to trigger them. I find this to be very common in the left shift key.The space bar makes a very annoying sound whenever I hit it. This is especially true when I hit the key on the left third. I admit, I usually have a headset on, so it does not bother me a lot, but if you do not have a headset on consistently, it will get very annoying, very quickly.I wish the keys were easier to make out when the backlight is off. I don't like having it on 100% of the time, but it becomes very hard to distinguish any key without the lights being on. In addition, the lighting behind each character is a bit uneven, which may annoy those of you who would be bugged by this inconsistency.A few kind words:Other than the issues listed above, the keyboard has held up quite well to my gaming habits for a bit over a year now.I do not have any problems with keys being worn down that others have experienced (except for some VERY minor wearing down on the LShift key). The volume knob is quite useful, but it can jump around a bit, requiring a little bit more effort to adjust the volume to what you actually want.Personally, I may be going for mechanical keyboard from a different manufacturer for my next upgrade. Don't let this take away from the fact that this keyboard does what it does pretty well, and so long as you know the minor issues you have ahead of time, you should still consider this piece of hardware.
Decent, but has problems.
August 24, 2015
As a general keyboard, it's fine in most regards and situations. If you're using it for gaming however, it's not really your ideal budget keyboard. My main gripe is that the keys are a bit stiff/stubborn to press at certain angles. For me, I tend to play a lot of MMORPGs and alter hotkeys to use CTRL and ALT in combination with other keys, so there are times when pressing them won't be dead center and straight down. When this happens, the keys tend to resist being pushed down until you slightly readjust where you push it. Not that big of a deal, but definitely unusual to encounter. For the price, it's not really worth it. If this were under $20, it wouldn't be that bad, given the aesthetics (not so much the functionality). I bought an old CoD Logitech keyboard for $20 because I was in need of a cheap replacement. That thing functioned WAY better for a cheaper price, it just didn't have the backlight like this one.

Serious risk of getting a faulty keyboard - otherwise it's THE BEST. Shame.
October 14, 2017
If you don't get one from a bad batch, this is a 5-star keyboard. I had one for years and it was the best keyboard I ever owned. Great software features too. But eventually it got too dirty and worn-out, and I needed a shiney new one.The new one was defective, with the space bar and surrounding keys very hard to press, and the press not registering unless you REALLY slammed it down.Underneath the keys are two layers: 1 layer of a rubberized material, black, probably to control the backlight spill. But UNDER THAT is another layer of plastic. Both of these layers are supposed to be FLAT. The 2nd layer was curled/bubbled up at the bottom of the keyboard. It was laid in wrong. To even get to this to see if I can fix it, I'll have to remove ALL OF THE KEYS.Just know that Logitech has some serious manufacturing QC issues here. You might want to buy two or three to try to lessen the odds of getting a bad one. It's worth it if you've got the cash, because really, as long as it's not a bad one, this is THE BEST keyboard, period.
Feels Hefty, Looks good but keys are toooo delicate. H Key Broke withing two hours of first use.
October 14, 2017
Less than two ours after connecting it the H key breaks off. Overall the keys feel very delicate and flimsy. There were tiny micro chunks of plastic under the key so I knew it was broken. It was not abused or applied hard key strokes.I did some further searching for issues with these keys and it seems that the keys come off all the time and are very difficult to replace. There is even a Youtube'r who specializes in instructional videos and sells replacement keys for this unit. If this guy found a market for repairing these things then why would anyone consider keeping this thing unless they like to be tortured with intricate tiny plastic parts.
It was awesome when brand new
January 29, 2017
It was awesome when brand new. It's been 3 months and it's now sitting in my junk pile - ready to be thrown out. Keys 5 and Rt Arrow Key came loose after a month, but I was able to pop them back in and use them. After popping them back in a couple of times though, the Rt Arrow Key finally came loose completely (i.e. no amount of popping them back in works because the scissor type hinges broke). That's $60 down the drain after a couple of months.

June 23, 2016
As a user from when it was just the "Illuminated Keyboard" during first inception I loved this keyboard as it filled the gap between basic office and gaming as an elegant keyboard. However, some of what reviewers have posted is true. Shift + W + Space do not work anymore. The illumination brightness of a keyboard from 2012 side by side with a 2016 keyboard is a remarkable difference. The 2012 keyboard is MUCH brighter. Let's say on a scale of 10, the 2012 is a 10, and the 2016 is a 4. Which should be the exact opposite due to aging, but that goes to show how the quality of the keyboard has gone down.My brand new 2016 keys have a bit of wobble on the sides from the factory that took my 2012 keyboard 4 years to develop through hard use (regularly used my computer for 3-8 hours every day typing at 100+ WPM). Actually I'd say my 2012 keys are in slightly better shape. Just bought my 5th keyboard in 8 or 9 years (avg lifespan was 3-4 years, two were defective within first 3 months), but I've never experienced the "phantom key blocking" with any of them. I believe the reviewer must've gotten all from the same bad batch. All in all disappointing as I recently got a new work computer and needed a new keyboard. This keyboard has served me well, and I don't really play FPS anymore so the shift-w-space thing was a moot issue. I decided to take a chance for something similar to my 2012 keyboard, but when I need another keyboard I will not be buying a 6th. Definitely not worth the price if you knew what you were missing out on. If anyone knows of a keyboard similar to the Illuminated Keyboards of old, please comment. I would love to see what others have found.
Dirty design; Critical keys too small!
April 30, 2016
I love that this keyboard is LED illuminated and that it has 3 different levels of illumination. The feel of the keys is pleasant and typing on it is not extremely loud like it is on some keyboards. There's a Num Lock/Caps Lock LED indicator light near the base of the keyboard, instead of the top, which is nice. The negative features include puzzling design decisions such as making the delete key twice the normal size, while reducing the backspace key by about 40% of its typical size. They describe it as a "full sized keyboard" but typing on it makes me feel like it's noticeably more compact than other keyboards, more so when you fudge your typing and go to hit that tiny backspace key.Other perplexities include a wrist rest at the base that immediately and noticeably gets covered in my hand oils. I hate that greasy look it constantly has, though that might be more of a byproduct of the black color than anything else. Worse, they decided to put two tiny cracks above the wrist rest that are beacons for dust and debris to collect in. I have no idea why they wouldn't have made the wrist rest flush with the keyboard.Don't get any ideas about cleaning this keyboard. After owning this for only two days, I was trying to get a piece of dirt out from between two keys and accidentally popped off my 'K' key. I discovered that the keys are attached with very cheap and flimsy plastic, which broke. Logitech states that the keys are designed to be non-replaceable and does not sell replacements. I was able to find a replacement key on that popular online flea market and was fortunately able to reattach it. But you might not be as lucky. Avoid this keyboard if you're going for a clean look.==============UPDATE - 10 MONTHS LATER;I've decided I hate this keyboard more every day. The bottom-right shift key STICKS all the time, forcing me to press it really hard to get it to acknowledge the key press. There are much better keyboards to get that work appropriately and don't have baffling design decisions as mentioned above.
Would Like to Give This 5 Stars BUT...
November 30, 2010
So i got the keyboard today and it looks amazing. Ripped it open and there it was, and let me tell you, this is a thing of beauty. i was excited.i plugged it in, fired up the computer and had a lot of trouble putting in my password...hmmm...strange! i kept having weird problems with the password, and then i noticed; the left Shift key does not work reliably! i have to hold down the key very Hard to get it to register...notice all the 'lazy" capital i's in this review/...guess what, I'm pressing the shift key and it's not registering! Neither did that question mark that came out a forward slash a sentence or two ago right here. Sometimes the shift key registers and works, and others it doesn't.Also, i tried installing the setpoint software to control the 'advanced' features of this keyboard (eyeroll)...advanced if you consider volume controls and some function keys advanced...in any case, the software didn't work with Windows 7. it installed fine, but then there are "missing" tabs when you open the Setpoint control panel 9mouse and keyboard tabs...no i am not lazy, that 9mouse was supposed to be (mouse0...arrrrgh!Come to find out that setpoint software has had this issue now for YEARS and if you visit the logitech forums you will see a LOT of frustrated users who simply cannot get their software to install/work properly. logitech suggests installing it multiple times as the 'fix' for this issue, but i assure you installing it 73 times won't help...and it takes a few minutes and a reboot each time!!! i just have a standard Win 7 x64 system.Oh and guess what else? Since i have a logitech wireless mouse as well, the one gift the Setpoint software did give me was to slow down my mouse to a crawl; i had to uninstall it and just use the windows drivers or else my mouse would have been jacked up as well as not having the keyboard functionality.ok i'm a bit bitter and frustrated; i can live without the 'fancy' features of volume control; i uninstalled that and now i merely have a dysfunctional keyboard. To balance out my negative attitude, this keyboard really is beautiful and i've ordered a replacement from Amazon, who are just absolutely amazing. i'm hoping my new keyboard will have the 'feature' that the left Shift key works1 (that was supposed to be an exclamation mark but, sigh...0I'm a techy, i teach computers, i love technology, and i'm a great typist...can ya tell/here's hoping the replacement keyboard isn't defective.Good luck; the lighting is fantastic on this unit.

Really great at first...
August 4, 2017
I really liked this keyboard at first, but after 3 months or so some of the keys feels as though they lock in place. Really weird as I've never used a keyboard that had this happen after time. It seems to happen randomly and basically makes some of the keys take much more force than normal to push leading to errors. I've kept the keyboard in an office the entire time that I've owned it and handled it gently so I'm sure it's not some thing that I caused. Really hoped it stayed as good as it did when I got it. I purchased the keyboard mid May and it is now early August.
It's cheap and it feels cheap
October 24, 2016
Pros:Volume knob.Backlight is easy to turn on and offCons:Pressing on the wrist-rest makes it creek. Not very sturdy.Keys stick a lot when typing. Not very good for gaming or if you type very fast.Backlight key replaces the right windows key. Personally annoying.Had it for a few months and the coating on some of the keys has rubbed off.
Very pleased with this purchase.
April 25, 2016
I'm not much for gaming, I purchased this lighted keyboard to help me in low light conditions and it does that very well.Very pleased with this purchase.**** Update 02-12-17 ****The back-light on this keyboard no longer works. The back-light was the reason that I purchased this keyboard, now it's unusable in reduced lighting situations.I have changed my rating accordingly.
You get what you pay for.
February 4, 2016
For the price, this keyboard is very nice. The keys feel good, the backlight is nice (though a bit dim and cheap on the actual keys), and the wristpad is comfortable. It's also hard to find cheap keyboards with volume dials, which is the reason I bought this one.Unfortunately, just two weeks after I started using it, the volume dial has busted, and now won't stop changing the audio when moved in either direction, and can only be stopped by unplugging the keyboard. This makes it so that, if you touch it at all, it either deafens you or mutes your computer, until you unplug it.As I've only used it for a couple weeks, I don't know how fast the keys wear off as others have posted, but mine are still in tact.

October 26, 2015
If it didn't take so long for the shipping I would have sent mine back for repair/replacement/refund as the volume knob is broke or glitched, and ANY adjustment to it sends the audio level to either maximum or minimum levels [depending on what direction you started the turn eg. up or down]Honestly I got it JUST for the back lit keys, and that it does well enough, there are quite a few buttons that have some internal tabs or something getting in the way of some of the light, but it is only very tiny.Much of the edging on the plastic [especially around the two side glowing bits] is very rough but the pads on the 'legs' and bottom are nice and solid. Oh and my Right Shift, '+' key, and Enter [numpad] are either 'loose' or the spring is 'odd' in them, otherwise everything is fine.Overall, I wouldn't have very high expectations for this keyboard, but it does what it does well enough...
volume knob is great, but the keys are flaking off after just 4 months of use
June 11, 2015
this keyboard is OK at best. the black plastic coating on the keys started flaking off after about 4 months of moderate use (see attached photo).the best thing about this keyboard is the volume knob which I find very useful but the keys are not durable at all.

After just a few months and very little use the number "1" key came off the main keyboard and will not go back on. Please advise how this will be repaired. Thank you.
Can't reattach keys
November 29, 2016
I like the lit up keyboard, and the relative 'quietness' of the keys. However, I am very disappointed that the keys are easily (accidentally) removed but cannot go back on properly. Has happened on first keyboard, and on replacement keyboard from Logitech. Not very durable for work use by one person.
Within a Month, Three Broken Keys
October 19, 2016
We recently bought this keyboard for a Windows edit station. It does not get daily use... probably up to 3 days a week someone will work at this station, so not heavy use. Yet within about three weeks of us installing this we had three or more broken keys. Amazon's warranty on this is only for a month -- so buyer beware. We asked for an exception, which we received since we attempted a refund only 5 weeks after purchase.Given how poorly it performed -- and the overall hassle of a return -- I would not recommend this keyboard. I'm on Amazon shopping for a new one from a different manufacturer now.
PRONE TO KEY BREAKAGE - look elsewhere
July 19, 2016
After a few months, the "W" key started popping off. Researching it briefly, there doesn't appear to be a cheap solution and MANY other folks are having the same problem. What a shame - a tiny part of the whole unit goes back and off to the landfill it goes. (Maybe recycling will take it.)
Went Completely DEAD after just 6 months
January 21, 2016
I loved everything about this keyboard except that after about 6 months it stopped working. DEAD...NADA. All the other keyboards I have ever owned in 20 years never stopped working. Most of them were either free with a computer or cost about $15. This is the first expensive keyboard I have used. I loved the feel and the look. But if it does not work, then it gets one star. I tried to figure out the warranty but after an hour of fishing around on the logitech website I just gave up. Such a waste!
Quality on these keyboards has gone downhill
April 30, 2015
What a disappointment. This USED to be my favorite keyboard. I just fried mine with tea. Bought the first replacement at an office supplies store. The left CTRL key rubs against the casing and sticks. Ordered a replacement from Amazon and I am experiencing the same thing. Also some of the keys hesitate. Returning it and looking for a replacement

Never again
May 16, 2016
I understand that this isn't a Pro keyboard, but I at least expected the keys to remain black with light shining through the letters. The coating over the keys is dismal at best. About 4 months of playing and all you can see is the back light and no letters. Sad
Two keyboards, both broke
May 5, 2016
Serious right now, I bought this keyboard, it arrived and didbt work, the "F" key would work in conhuction with any other key, meaning I couldn't hit it in games while moving or anything, so I sent it back. Got my new one a few days later. Worked fine, but the little LED on the volume knob stopped working after about a week, not a big deal. Now here I am a month later, and the space bar stops working completely. Back to my old back up keyboard which still works great. After years of use and storage, never buying a AZIO product again, can't believe it.

Does Not Stand the Test of Time
March 5, 2015
This is a cool looking keyboard at a great price. That is, if it held up. Like the looks, and like the feel of the keys which is something very important to me and one area many keyboards fail. However, the coating on the keys began wearing off after about 3 months use. At this point, after about 5 months use, I'd be having a hard time if I were not an experienced typist. Seven keys are worn beyond letter recognition.1 1/2 years later - I just dropped the rate on this to 1 star. I thought I had developed some bad keyboard habits because, occasionally, I seemed to accidentally hit a wrong key, forcing my work to go in a tailspin. This keyboard finally crapped out entirely and when I replaced it with my old Dell, the spontaneous selected key problem disappeared. The problem was, obviously, the keyboard. Basically, it's a piece of junk if you want to use it for more then a couple of weeks.
