Side by Side Comparison of: Under Armour vs JanSport

I found myself in the market for a new backpack for daily use of my 13 and 11 years old sons after theirs reached a timely death.It have a laptop pouch in the main compartment that would fit a 15" laptop plus plenty room for books and notebooks.Three smaller compartment in the front that would hold lunch, headphones , tablet or something else.
The side pockets (2) are deep and secure it hold my Yeti tumbler without problems.
The bottom of the bag (the part that touches the ground) is made of a thicker, tougher materia
The shoulder straps are padded and comfortable, making the bag easy to carry even when it is pretty full and heavy
I am extremely pleased with my decision to purchase this bags. I highly recommend it for students .

My 10 yo son is in love with this backpack. I was looking for one that was comparable in size to his LL Bean backpack, and this one is. I like the shoe compartment for the winter months, where he's bringing his sneaker to and from. He'll be using this for school, but it would make a great pack for sports as well. It's sharp looking with plenty or room, and the kids are crazy for UA brand. The only thing I can't speak for is the longevity since we just got it. It doesn't look as well made as LL Bean, but here's to hoping it'll last until he's tired of it and wants a change.

The first backpack I've bought where straps weren't already tearing by Christmas! Going on 5 months of use! Usually have to replace their back packs by now! They do carry some very heavy books and they do tend to toss bag when they come in. Very happy with how these ones have held up.

So far so good. I like the look. It's doesn't look loose and hang, and it's a narrow bag. The bottom pocket expands pretty big inside, which you can choose to take advantage of if you want to separate something larger.

My daughter loves this backpack. The color is great (lime green) and pockets are useful and help with organization. It would be nice if they made this in a larger size for my older daughter who has to carry a tablet and large binder to middle school (it won't fit).

So I use this as my soccer back for all of my coaching stuff. I did read that sometimes the stitching will rip in the front and unfortunately it did for me. I ended up fixing it myself but I do love this backpack. The colors are nice and it has padded shoulders so it has a little bit of comfort.

So far so good. My High School Junior has been using this for a few months now and it has held up really well - better than other back packs he's had. Let's see if it'll last through his Senior year next year!

Well made back pack. My only issue is the second zipper pocket does not go all the way down so the pocket is more shallow than the large one. If it had just been an inch or two deeper, it would be perfect.

Bag is awesome-only reason i didn't give it a 5 is that unless I am mistaken I don't see any reflective areas. My son walks to bus in winter when it is still dark. I'm hoping that I am mistaken but I didn't read anything about it in the features either. It's the bag my son chose cause he thought it was cool. He's 15

My son loves this backpack. It holds all his school and orchestra books easily. It is comfortable to wear, and seems very well made. It easily wipes off if it gets dirty. I plan on replacing my other sons backpack with this when the time comes.

overpriced but the kids for back to school are convinced that it's the latest trend. Perhaps price more towards the folks who have to buy these for their kids rather then the kids who really wont be buying them and you's sell a lot more. There is nothing about the bag that makes it any better then any other bag out there except having the UA logo. Marketing at its finest

The bag is ok but one of the straps comes without sewing, can't use it. I think that for the price of this backpack can not have this type of defects

I love the look and the pockets in this backpack. But is it me or is anyone having the issue where he bag doesn't sit up? It topples over forward. So I re-arranged putting the heavier stuff farther back and middle and it still falls forward. Wish the design wa better. Would love my bad to not fall o we in my vehicle and also on the gym bench.

The material at the bottom started peeling off after several weeks of use. The rest of the bag seems to be holding up ok but the overall appearance is now substandard. I would expect this bag to last more than a month at that price.

Returned due to incomplete seam leaving a hole in the bottom of the back pack. Did not ask for a replacement because this will not hold more than a couple text books or one big binder. Not enough room for my high schooler's homework load. Seemed like a nice back pack if the seam was complete, better for someone only carrying a couple small books/folders.

Just bought this in April for my husband who works in corrections, it is already tearing apart and has a hole. He only uses it to carry paperwork, sometimes his lunch, waters etc. very dissatisfied because we love underarmour brand.

Not to the normal quality I expect from under armour. To lightweight for protecting a laptopz

Good quality, but terribly overpriced.

This is already starting to rip by the zipper. Daughter just started using a 2 weeks ago.

Over priced and not good room. Has some weird useless pocket that serves no purpose.

Tbh stains easily i shouldent of bought white

I bought this as a gift for my son. After VERY light use (meaning twice), it ripped. I am very unhappy with this purchase.

Way overpriced for such a flimsy bag. Didn't return because I needed something then

I bought this backpack in July for my son to use for school in August now one month later it is already ripped apart at the top. This backpack cannot handle heavy loads..... very disappointed in this product after how much it cost and only lasting one month!
