You need a Smart TV that's 65" with vivid colors from a reliable manufacturer? Get this one
September 7, 2016
This is the best television I have ever owned. The picture is vivid and the color absolutely breathtaking. It can take an ordinary HD quality picture look its best. Let me talk a little about the Smart TV side of it. Let's face it, most "Smart TV" interfaces arrived on the scene with many unfulfilled promises. They were un-intuitive and sluggish; an exercise in frustration. This iteration gets it right. You can also play still or video images directly from a USB. The stand itself is secure, but anything this big makes me nervous (earthquakes!), so be sure to look into getting a cable to keep it anchored. For some reason, the screen does not act like a giant pet hair/dust trap, so I am cleaning it less often my 7-year-old Sony TV (which I've exiled to a bedroom). I have no idea why, but it's an unmentioned "feature" that I appreciate.
Amazing picture!
April 12, 2016
The picture on this tv is really pretty. The Smart hub has some issues with Netflix and YouTube. Those apps freeze up. The Amazon app works great and I've been able to watch some 4k content with Amazon prime. The web browser seems to work well too. I plugged in a keyboard and that worked as well. If the Netflix and YouTube apps were stable I'd give it 5 stars. I may come back and do just that if Samsung releases a software patch. Netflix and YouTube not working well is not a huge deal since I have a Roku. But my Roku only plays 1080p and the TV has 4k content available that I'd like to watch. So great set but please don't skimp on the software Samsung and please get those two important apps fixed.

Update on 8/29/16
I updated this TV with the latest firmware from Samsung and the TV apps work much better. We can watch YouTube in 4K and it looks amazing. We have Verizon FIOS at 15 MBs. The Netflix app is very stable as well. There is some buffering with Amazon video but it's not too bad.

Great product. Wifi adapter can stream 4K from router in back room. Simple remote with easy navigation. Amazon was very clear on delivery date and time, will call the day before and when they are on the way. Additionally, the delivery service will open, and assemble the TV and check for any damages before you sign for the delivery.

I have mine connected wireless through Samsung connect to a soundbar and sub-woofer. Wake up feature is a very interesting feature as well.

I would recommend getting a simple keyboard/mouse combo keyboard for web-browsing.
I highly recommend this TV.
February 7, 2016
We bought this to replace our 52" Samsung that was being relocated to the bedroom to replace our recently deceased Sony WEGA 42" plasma. This TV, while nowhere near the high end of Samsung's line, is beautiful and well made. The remote is the same as our other Samsung, so no learning curve of any kind. The Internet menu structure is different, sort of like the iPhone CoverFlow interface. It's very fast to access Netflix and Amazon Prime and the picture is absolutely STUNNING!

I highly recommend this TV.

April 10, 2015
I am giving this TV a 5 star rating based on quality and price. I really think for this size, this quality, under $1,000 dollars this is a 5 star TV. I did have some issues as other users mentioned on previous posts, but this has nothing to do with the two factors above that I mentioned. Yes I was not able to connect to my WiFi even after changing the encryption method several times and resetting my router and modem, but a short call to Samsung tech support and a firmware upgrade everything worked as a charm. The one thing you should be aware of is the SmartHub. It is not the same as in previous models so do not look for YouTube videos or old manuals. From what I understand, this new version of the SmartHub is based on a new operating system (Tizen) and it looks totally different. Initially very few apps were available, but every day there are new ones popping up. Netflix is now available as is AmazonPrime. I am still waiting on Skype.
Also, before you talk about quality, make sure you watch a real 4K video. I have used the YouTube app to search and play 4K video samples, as well as connected to my laptop that can produce 4K hdmi output, and the quality is AMAZING. It also has a lot less glare from my old Samsung which had a "regular" glass. This one, mounted above a fireplace, and next to a very bright bay window that brings sun in all afternoon, and you still watch TV without having to close the shades. 5 stars all the way ... *****

Best sound ever!
May 17, 2017
I am absolutely amazed at the sound quality of this sound bar. It was so easy to set up. It is light and portable and I paired it with my IPOD for a party outside. The sound was incredible, and professional even at a high volume. Very good value and I highly recommend to anyone.
I was very concerned whether it would be good enough at this price
April 30, 2017
Bought it for family members & had it sent to them. I was very concerned whether it would be good enough at this price. But, they were ecstatic!! Out of there minds!!! They are really liking it!! Now I'm hoping it holds up ok... It's going to be used a lot. Will do a followup later if it fails early.
Amazing sound quality!
November 25, 2016
Sound bar and subwoofer sounds amazing and works perfectly with my 2016 Samsung TV (KS8000) and its remote. One reviewer stated that the optical cable connector is too large for the optical port. I had the same trouble at first until I realized that the clear end of the connector is actually a removable cap added to protect the fiber strand from dust. It has to be removed before plugging in the cable.
Great Sound Bar
February 7, 2016
I recently got a new 4K Samsung TV & what I can't understand is why the sound on the TVs are so horrible. You have to put it up to almost all the way just to hear it. I saw this sound bar & after reading the reviews & for the price I got it. I couldn't be happier. I now can enjoy my new TV with beautiful sound. You don't have to spend thousands to get great sound. I recommend this sound bar for anyone who wants better sound or to make the tv sound better. Love it.

Exactly what I was looking for. Works perfect. Adds great sound to my 65" Sharp Aquos TV. Offers bluetooth and several customizable functions such as treble, bass, and subwoofer adjustment. Samsung puts out great products so I'm not surprised. Highly recommend. Does come with wall mount brackets as well. Considering buying a second for my bedroom wall mounted TV.

March 18, 2015
This is a very reasonably priced sound bar that delivers theater quality sound. The unit will accept Blue Tooth, optical, or 3.5mm jack input. My TV is over 12 years old and did not come with an optical jack for audio output. However, my Direct TV box does have optical so I fed the sound bar from it. The sub woofer is wired with a nice long wire so you can set the speaker where ever you want it near the TV. The remote is small and easy to use. If you have an Android phone, there is an app that will replace the remote. Most important, and the reason I bought a bar, is that I have not heard voices this clearly since buying the TV 12 years ago. The details of the sound a very good and the sub woofer fills the back ground with sounds never heard before. For the price, I can't see how you can go wrong.

January 2, 2016
Replaced my aging Samsung sound bar with this bad boy. I have a 55" LG tv so anynet+ and Samsung features don't work with my tv. So I will not be reviewing those.

I was looking for a stylish sound solution that will add some sound separation and oomph to my movie and tv consumption. I also wanted to be HDMI CEC compatible.

I had no issues in installing the sound bar. Plugged in HDMI cable into ARC HDMI port on my TV. I made sure to get the latest HDMI cable from Amazon that is CEC certified.

After the sound bar was connected I plugged in the subwoofer into the power outlet and pressed the power button. It automatically connected to the sound bar.

After subwoofer paired with a sound bar I hit the power button on my tv remote which in fact turned my TV and sound bar. I was also able to control the sound bar with my tv remote and adjust the volume. My previous Samsung sound bar did not allow me to do that even with a HDMI connected to the TV.

The sound is much greater than my tv speakers. It is not an audiophile speakers nor a high end home theater system. Though it works great in the small living room and adds great atmosphere to my tv watching.

Defiantly best bang per buck ratio once again!
Great sound and bass for the price
December 14, 2015
Great sound and bass for the price. Works well in an average sized living room. Takes it about 30-45 secs to power up once turning on the the TV. I do love the fact that it powers on and off with the TV, at least when connected via HDMI. Haven't tested it with an optical cable.

UPDATE: 12-24-16
1 year later this sound system still sounds great. No unexpected mechanical issues. No sound distortion. I love the bluetooth too. I can pair my computer or phone to it and blast some music through the living room. Seems to stay connected at least 20 feet away before it loses its signal for bluetooth. Works through at least 1 wall too. I still love this sound system.
Great product, very easy installation
December 10, 2015
Great product, very easy installation. I was looking for something which is not very powerful as I live in an apartment. This fits my requirement, sound is very crisp and clear and when listening to music the sub woofer makes sure you enjoy the song.

If you have a samsung tv then just using the HDMI cable through ARC port, you can control the sound bar using tv's remote including powering it on and off.

Works great. Installation and setup was super easy. A really great deal for $150 shipped.
Great addition for my Samsung 50" TV.
Perfect Soundbar for new Samsung TV.
March 24, 2015
The HW-J450 Soundbar works flawlessly with my Samsung UN65UH8550 TV. Installation was extremely simple. Both the bar and subwoofer connect via bluetooth to the TV. When the TV is turned on, the other devices automatically power up and connect. The sound is vastly superior to that of the TV speakers. I could not be happier.

Great TV for the price, supports all UHD/HDR formats that the xbox one S supports
August 12, 2016
According to my xbox one s this supports all the 4k/HDR formats that the new xbox one has. You have to enable UHD color in the menu, and it can only be done on HDMI port 1.I'm not sure the panel itself actually has the expanded colors for HDR, but it's nice to know all the new 4k stuff is at least recognized. The built in netflix works very well and overall the TV is very responsive. The stock remote is straightforward and seems to work very well.I use the audio return channel (works very well) and let the TV control my Sony amp. They seem to play nicely for the most part, though there are some occasional oddities (the amp sometimes switches back to the TV audio setting when I don't want it to). Turning on the TV turns the amp on, and turning the TV off turns off the amp, which is very handy.
Great TV!
March 11, 2016
This is a really nice TV. Picture quality is great. OS is functional and easy to use, and the smartTV features are well thought out and easily accessible. TV also works very seamlessly with my BD player/stereo which aren't even Samsung brand. The only thing I've encountered that doesn't work well is the on screen guide for watching OTA digital TV. The guide is extremely laggy and takes forever to page through available channels.
Kudos To Samsung
February 3, 2016
Very versatile and delivers a lot of bang for the buck. No dead pixels. Fairly simple to set up. Good native speakers and pairs easily with Bluetooth speakers. Excellent picture except for shadows (digital sets still don't handle shadow detail as well as the old analog CRT sets). Expect to fiddle with the settings a bit, which is easy to do. Good viewing angles. If reliability and durability match out-of-the-box quality, Samsung will be the brand to beat for value.
After much research as well as great experiences with Samsung products
December 23, 2015
After much research as well as great experiences with Samsung products, I bought this TV. I am very pleased with it, great picture and great sound and was just the right size for over the fireplace. I used a VideoSecu ML531BE TV mount which made it complete. I have not tried any 4k content on this TV but all of the 1080 video looks great. Also, the Anynet feature works great with my Dish Network service and Blu-ray player.
Love It.
August 23, 2015
Took three tries to get one delivered without damage (not Amazon's fault) but now that we have one that works, its great. Even though people say that there is not a lot of UHD content out there yet, we see a real picture quality difference with this when compared to the regular HD sets we already have.
YES! LOOK AT THAT PICTURE!!!!
August 5, 2015
WOW!!!!!!! This picture on this is AMAZING. The blacks are almost totally black, the whites are brilliant, the sound is good, it's a FABULOUS TV. If you're wondering whether to upgrade to UHD 4K, do it. Though there aren't a lot of sources yet broadcasting in 4K, the picture is still wonderful. When more and more providers start broadcasting in 4K, this will be an amazing experience. You just cannot see any pixels when you put your face up close to the screen. There is a model that's about 400 dollars more than the 6500; the Samsung JU7100, and if you want 3D, a smart remote and twice the motion rating, then maybe you'll want to get it, but, if those things aren't important to you (especially the 3D) then save the hundreds of dollars and go for this one. I watch a lot of sports and this handles things just fine. I cannot imagine any better picture quality with the 7100 model but perhaps it does have the edge with the extra cost; I cannot say....the 6500 model is just incredible. Up to you. I love this TV. What an incredible picture. It's worth every penny. Every TV I own is a Samsung and I have to say, the quality keeps on coming. Pull the trigger on this. A beautiful TV. This is a review of the 40 inch, in case you're wondering....and it does come in bigger sizes which I would assume are just as jaw dropping brilliant. Oh, I use the DYNAMIC setting and have turned some friends on to my "recipe" for great picture quality: Backlight 19, Contrast 95, Brightness 30-35, Sharpness 90, Color 50, Tint 50. I just can't see turning brightness up any more than that since of all the settings, the Brightness tends to wash out the depth and brilliance of the picture. Oh, and the side angle viewing of this TV, though not perfect, is pretty darn good...just maybe a 15-20% reduction in quality, if that...very good angle viewing. This is TV built for the future with the UHD 4K....get it. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Highly Functional and Easy to Install
September 27, 2017
This is a really functional way to mount your television to a wall, saving space and in my case, a toddler from tipping the television over on its stand. The set requires a ratchet and stud finder for installation. This particular set comes equipped with a built-in level (which is probably the most necessary component). If you aren't that adept with tools, you can hire someone to install it for you. Installation typically takes approximately 15 minutes. I highly recommend this television mounting bracket.
No Problems with this one
September 11, 2017
Came as advertised. Was relatively easy to place and all the bits of hardware were first class. Very satisfied with the result. Took me about two hours to install, but someone with better tools/experience should be able to put it up in about 30 minutes (I had a hard lltime locating the wall studs, finally defaulting to just trial and error till I found the first one then every 16 inches...BTW instructions were quite clear, even for me, who is still not sure of the difference between a nut and a bolt.
Hugs the Wall
June 28, 2017
I mounted a 70 inch Vizio and the bracket handled it just fine. They include enough hardware to open your own store - I used four bolts. I double checked the included level and it was right on. Plug the wires into the TV before you mount it because it does hug the wall. I purchased a black right angled extension cord and a black surge protector. If you are a bug about dangling cords, these two items can save you a lot of time. Overall it was a good purchase and I am very happy with the result.
Buy this one first.
February 19, 2017
This is what I wanted from the first mount I bought. I thought having tilt would be nice, but instead that mount just left a droopy tv. This is a nice solid mount that holds our 70" to the wall and looks super clean. It's fairly easy to install except for the locking bar to hold the TV in place. It's hard to line up and with a large enough TV there is more a feeling game than seeing one. Doable but also not required if your not worries about someone side-slamming your tv. Price is right.
Great value, very good quality, easy install
May 27, 2015
Just bought this to hang our 46" Samsung HDTV. Easy to install, and our mount looks just like the one pictured here. The only thing I should have done was ordered the smaller mount as this one is slightly too big for our TV. That is not the fault of the bracket - that one is on me. Otherwise this mount is a great value. You can spend 2 to 3 times as much on a mount that will perform as well as this one. The other nice thing about this mount is there are three options for height so you can get the TV just right after you attached the wall plate to the wall. All that to say, great value for a wall mount.
Great low-profile mount for a great price
December 18, 2012
I bought this mount for my new 65" LED TV. It was a great price ($28.99) and came with a free HDMI cable. It was easy to mount to the wall, came with all the necessary hardware, and holds my tv very securely. It mounts the TV very close to the wall (slightly less than 1" gap between the TV and the wall) and it comes with some plastic shims if you have a curved-back TV or if you have a need to set the TV out from the wall slightly. The mount is wide enough to cover 3 wall studs for extra holding strength. The supplier forgot to include the HDMI cable in the box, but quickly sent it out to me after I emailed them concerning the issue.I would recommend this TV mount to anyone needing a low-profile mount for a large TV. Great product, great price.

great!.. for limited and accomidating features
July 6, 2017
nice display, apps need improvement, little difficulty in some display functions that attribute the T.V. a little scary with the contribution of the reverse display capeability. fully functionally excellent burbon for my college bound entertainment system. would like to see temporary notification of phone messages functionality, social media, ect. scheduled viewing is absolutely obsolete. a revised walk through is needed when connecting media capeability... soo teadious... haven't got to play with the dvr but am expecting it to be a hassel as though it were a scheduled viewing. web viewing is confusing with bookmarks and history with undetailed explaination how to use it, while being limited in what file is acceptable to its configuration during download. also as big as the smart remote is they coulda atleast have a keyboard on the flip side of the remote; if the gesture feature couldn't already do that for you...

August 3, 2016
I would give this 5 starts but the first tv we received would suddenly lose the picture and the video almost as if you turned it off, this happened within the first 2 weeks. At first I thought maybe the cat stepped on the remote and shut it but no it started happening more frequently. We were sent a replacement and they came and set it up. All has been great but we have had this tv lose audio and video once since we got the replacement. If it happens again I will contact amazon/seller. The picture is fantastic on this set as is the ease of use and has a great remote control. We do love this set (we have a smaller Samsung for our bedroom now for several years and love it). I am really hoping there are no further issues with the set.
I love this TV
April 5, 2016
I love this TV. The picture quality of this vs the old Samsung LED TV we had is absolutely night and day. 4k content via Netflix is incredible, blu-ray movies that I thought looked amazing on our old TV are noticeable better on this, and even non-4k content via Hulu and some of our other apps are just a noticeably better quality. The only complaint I have is that the speakers are sub-par, but realistically, what TV speakers aren't. We have an AppleTV, so we listen to our music through the TV quite often, so sound is a big deal to us (which is why we pair the TV with a Bose Solo 15 Series II). I even gave it a fair chance before writing this review and watched a blu-ray (Black Mass) using just the TV speakers, and seriously if we didn't have an external system I would have a hard time saying this is worth almost $1k of my money. Sound is a big part of the home theater experience, so skimping on the speakers is something Samsung shouldn't do. Overall, though, I'd say it's a great product, and I'd recommend it to a friend.
Samsung 6500 48-inch 4K Ultra HD Smart TV
December 27, 2015
This set replaces an eight year old 5 series Samsung HD that began to have startup issues. The Samsung 4k 6500 replacement is a big step up in picture and sound quality. The picture seems almost 3D due to the outstanding sharpness, almost eerie! I was not expecting such sharpness. The sound quality is also a big improvement. Setup was easy and the manual is well written and user friendly. Cable connections in the back are logical and straight forward to configure. The onscreen tools are user friendly and uncomplicated. The remote is well laid out and easy to use. The internet connection took a little time to set up but no problems in doing so. My biggest surprise is definitely the sharpness and sound quality. The TV is securely placed on a TV console. The pedestal is easy to attach and secure.

I am very pleased with this purchase and would recommend the 4k 6500 to anyone looking for a good quality TV at an excellent price point. Having the TV shipped via UPS was somewhat of a concern but it arrived promptly and securely packaged with no carton dents or tears packed in its own box. The grasp handles on each side of the box were a simple welcome feature.
So far, So good.
August 8, 2015
I've had the TV for over a month now, and so far, it's still working. It was a little bit of a "learning curve" for me to set it up. It was my first flat-screen TV, and I had to get an upgrade on my satellite dish, and my kid was away at school, so I managed to set it up myself. Color is good, sound is okay with the built-in speakers, but if you want the loud, movie-experience, you better buy a sound bar with a built-in amp. I feel I'm not very qualified to critique this TV any further because I really haven't had any negative issues with it, since I didn't get into the menus too deep. I can find out on-line what other people have to say, and some suggest ways to adjust the settings to certain levels to fine tune the TV for a better viewing experience. I have noticed movies have that staged "soap opera effect", which is kind of goofy, but I think it can be minimized by making certain adjustments in the menus. Overall, the Samsung TV is so much better than the 24 year old, 100 pound behemoth that it replaced.

WOW~
May 15, 2017
I never in my life expected myself to purchase a Sound bar. EVER. I'm an Audio Engineer and have emptied my pockets to A LOT audio equipment. Apart from the Home theater and Studio in my home, I wanted good audio in my bedroom as well. I have Extra Loudspeakers, Towers, Bookshelf Speakers, and Subwoofers Just laying around the house, BUT my wife did not want beefy speakers in the bedroom, so I had to resort to another solution without spending too much, And as for one who doesn't spend alot of time in the bedroom I just needed something Quick, Easy, And Obscure (sort of). I began to just search for a soundbar under $100 with a subwoofer included, found this guy "Used" in Like new Condition, Come to find out it actually was just new, and in a Open Box so that was a major plus! It was as easy as Plug N' Play with the included Optic Cable. I already Knew where to place the Sub in the room, so I just tuned the soundbars easy settings to my liking and my Wife is actually very pleased with it, Wouldn't recommend to an Audiophile, BUT for basic Uses and Better than your average down firing TV speakers. This was a Major upgrade. Would recommend to Average Consumers.
Pretty happy, no instruction manual but pretty easy to figure out
January 24, 2017
I bought this repackaged from the warehouse for a pretty substantial discount. It was not the wireless one, which was my mistake, but I have so many cords hanging one more wasn't going to matter. The instruction manual was a copy and it was the wrong one, but I like figuring things out. It took me about 15 minutes, got it up and running. There were not even instructions about how to turn off my TV's speakers to override to the soundbar, but I am pretty savvy. Not.Now to the sound.. My daughter no longer bangs on my bedroom wall because I have the volume of the ridiculously poorly designed rear speakers set at 50 so I can hear the TV. Now the sound bar and woofer are at 14-20. I am not going to be blasting them, so I am very happy.I took off 1 star for not having the installation and instruction manual, only the quick start.
Feel like you're in a theatre for movies, like you're at the stadium for games, or simply fill your room with streaming music.
December 18, 2016
While it is a bit shy on features I certainly can't complain about the audio quality. For an average-sized living room this soundbar is more than adequate. Depending on the lighting however the display can be quite difficult to see (I wish there were 'Bright' and 'Dim' modes). The 4-5 canned "sound effects" (Voice, Music, Sports, Cinema, etc.) all seem somewhat contrived to my ears, with oddly shaped response curves. There are only three audio inputs: Digital, 3.5mm jack, and Bluetooth -- I'd like at least a couple more 3.5mm jacks, maybe even another digital-in butt this isn't designed to be an entertainment center. So, no: It isn't perfect ... but for $125 or so I doubt you'll find a better system. For a single room with a single TV and modest requirements it's probably ideal.Tuck the (wired) subwoofer out of the way (in a corner if you are a true bass-head) and the soundbar nearly disappears (visually and aurally). For someone wishing to take their TV audio to the next level above the tiny built-in speakers this is absolutely a viable upgrade. Go for it.

July 16, 2016
I have a Samsung smart TV and my only problem with my TV is that the sound just isn't great. These TVs tend to have a couple of small rear facing speakers. The TVs are super nice, but the sound quality is a bit of a let down. I decided to order the sound bar as a fix for this problem. The sound quality on this thing is fantastic, and it gets LOUD. It makes the movie watching experience much much better. The only issues that I have are that Samsung has made it nearly impossible for the volume buttons on your TV remote to be able to control the volume on the sound bar. That means that you must add an additional remote to your collection. That puts me at 4 remotes and it is getting a little much. Additionally, the sound bar drops all sound for about 1 second every couple of minutes. I have compromised by keeping the TV volume high enough so that all sound doesn't drop off, but I'll be changing how the sound bar is connected to the TV to see if I can fix this.

May 6, 2016
Everything was fine except for the fact that the digital audio cable supplied with the HW-J355 does not fit in the unit or the back of my new 40" Samsung TV. I don't know if it is a defective cable or the unit itself has a bad digital audio out port on the rear, but it would not seat fully in the rear of my TV either. Going to try another (better) digital audio cable(Toslink). If the new cable does not seat fully in the HW-J355 or my new Samsung TV it will be returned.

Awesome sound bar!! If you have a smart TV don't forget to take the plastic tips off your digital cord that comes with the sound bar... Sadly I had to google how to install the cord to figure out the tips needed to be removed:/

Works Great. Many sound choices for New TV
August 12, 2016
Works great with my new 70" Samsung 4K tv. Only reason for 4 stars insteadof 5 is that there are many choices for variety of inpur and woofer, treble, sound effects, etc that I haven't figured out yet. Also, it was a bit confusing for a 65 year old man to hook up, but I got it. Adds a new dimension to rhe small TV speakers.
Sounds Great!
May 20, 2016
I honestly can't complain. I have an older Samsung Plasma flatscreen TV that I've had for many years now and every once in awhile I would hear a weird noise coming from the speakers on the TV so I decided to take the pressure off of my TV and a sound bar is cheaper than surround sound. Plus small apartment. Easy set up, easy use, great sound, but in all honesty no different sounding than my TV itself. A little bit more dynamic maybe. But that is either due to the great quality of Samsung TVs or the lower quality of their Sound Bars. I'm an optimist so I'm going with great quality.
Great SET!
March 8, 2016
The sound bar Really projects the sound. It's a few feet in front of me but it sounds like it's right in my face.

The SUB woofer however is CRAP. I think it serves it purpose and produces the lows but it sucks for music. So I'm not reviewing it for that. But overall great set, and the wireless has to be the biggest plus. AWW man thiat is the best part.

5 Star Sound Bar, 1 star sub
good not great, more complex than described to plug in
January 23, 2016
Better than tv speakers but not like a huge upgrade. the compatibility with vizio tv was more complicated than I signed up for. it was not as simple as it sounded. Something about CEC setting on your tv then PCP vs bitstream. The soundbar worked with tv, but not dvd player and/or netflix "smart tv." So good luck to you all, I put it on bitstream and hdmi out on the soundbar and ARC on the tv. Not a huge upgrade but enough that its worth the purchase. The subwoofer not that powerful but makes a difference in overall sound.
Great sound! Easy setup.
December 2, 2015
Sounds great! Obviously a huge improvement from TV speakers. Sub gives the full spectrum one desires. Setup was easy. Used optical cable as I have multiple devices feeding into my TV and so it was the only option. Haven't noticed any issues with audio being out of sync. Didn't give 5 stars because when watching a movie with with loud and quiet moments it was inconsistent. Had to ride the volume at times watching Empire Strikes Back via Apple TV. Bluetooth connection with my iPhone is great for playing music which includes volume adjustment. Love that I have that control no matter where I am in my two story condo. Auto power feature is also a nice feature. I bought this because of the positive reviews. So I'm doing the same and so far very pleased.

TV comes on by itself in the middle of the night
April 24, 2016
TV comes on by itself in the middle of the night. Working on this with the manufacturer. No information on why yet.
but I absolutely love the visual enhancements of the sports mode
January 18, 2016
Occasionally, some apps will crash, but I absolutely love the visual enhancements of the sports mode, and really love the brightness and clarity of the 4k video, when it is available.
NICE features-Great Picture /Sound with some issues (in navigating remote control or input devices limiting adjustments)
January 7, 2016
The UHD Samsung 40 inch HDTV is a mixed bag. I love the overall quality of the set, the picture (which requires personal user taste) does have superior quality, sound and features. There are however some frustrations with other input (HDMI devices) attached to the set and the Television's limits to making adjustments to color, tint and control of jitter or distortion. The other frustration is the remote control which has many buttons that are too close to each other when navigating or when having to type information for the Smart TV functions. The sound can nicely be enhanced with the "movie" setting vs. standard sound choices. The screen is matte finish with some reflection if light hits the TV. There are many great features, functions and overall satisfication with the Samsung UN40JU6500. Mostly disappointed in adjustments that are restricted or limited when plugging other devices (laptop, BluRay player) for playback to eliminate ghosting, pixelation etc. Remote control for newer models offer voice command rather than a very crowded remote control that this model comes with. Overall, its a good UHD television and the Smart TV is one of the best compared to other competitors.Do I recommend to family or friends ? Absolutely !
Great Except for Auto Dimming
December 19, 2015
Here's two ways to correct the biggest problem of this TV in that the default settings cause it to get very dark in a normally lighted room:1) Menu > Picture > Picture Mode > Normal2) Menu > System > Eco Solution > Eco Sensor > Min Back Light > 13+I don't know why they did this, maybe to get a certain energy rating, but it's awful so subtracting one star.Other than this, it's a great TV, nice image and sound. The built in apps like Netflix make ti so much easier to use those services than connecting to another box.I chose this over the lower priced UN40J5200 because of bad reviews of its picture quality. I don't have it to compare, but can say the UN40JU6500's picture is very good with deep blacks and rich colors.
Works well as a PC monitor if you can stand the pixel response
November 7, 2015
I bought this TV as a computer monitor. I had been using a Westinghouse LVM-37W3 for years as a monitor but it was getting tired and I wanted higher resolution. I had been looking for some time but it seems that 2015 is finally when 4k TVs, at least from Samsung and Sony, can be used fully at PC monitors with full 4k 60hz 4:4:4 support. I was worried about pixel response and input lag, neither of which seemed to be a problem on the 37W3, when deciding to go with either a TV or a PC monitor, but there was no way I could go back to the small size of a PC monitor so I took the plunge on the JU6500.I'm happy to report that input lag is not an issue, with it being slightly faster than the 37W3 in game mode and similar in PC mode. I just leave it in PC mode. Pixel response is not as good with certain colors - bright colors are fine but grey and black transitions have a lot of blur. Based on reviews other Samsungs like the JU7500 seem to offer better pixel response but I could not justify spending twice as much for that. Because of the pixel response I can't see myself keeping this as long as I kept the 37W3 but it is good enough and cheap enough to last me a couple years until better displays are available.Apart from the TV itself I have no regrets about going 4k; Windows 10 handles the scaling well though some programs (I'm looking at you, Steam) still don't scale well. Games play fine on a single 980 - I've been playing a lot of DCS World where the high resolution is a real advantage - so I don't see a reason to stick with 1080p if your are buying a new display.
Minus 1 star for lame, un-intuitive menus
October 21, 2015
Really happy with this TV. I am using as a PC monitor with 4k@60HZ and Chroma 4:4:4. Using on PC with Intel 3770k, and gtx970. Picture looks fantastic, and text is ultra sharp once you enable chroma 4:4:4. I wouldn't recommend this tv as monitor unless you enable 4:4:4. I wouldn't say the text is "fuzzy" but it isn't crisp either and quickly causes eye strain for me anyway. but after 4:4:4, it was perfect: super sharp. One caveat, the setting for UHD color and the renaming of the input (both required for 4:4:4@60hz) are not found intuitively. They are buried in advanced menus for UHD color, and renaming requires the remote and navigating to the input and holding the enter key for several seconds while you wait for a sub menu to pop up. Very un-intuitive for a TV. there should just be a setting for renaming inputs. For those looking to use this as a monitor, I do have one issue with using as a PC monitor and that is that the icons are small, too small, but that really isn't any fault of the TV. it;s a 4k resolution on a 40 inch screen... of course the icons are going to be small. This can be fixed without altering the resolution by using the built in to Windows default scaling settings and changing them from 100% to "medium-125%". this makes the icons the 'correct' size (for me anyway) and still lets me revel in the 4k glory for the rest of my stuff; (movies games). You might also have read other sites reviews knocking this TV for its lack of judder compensation and no 24P mode. I will be honest, I am not one of those people that notices that stuff. I know it is a real thing, and many people can not only see it, but are annoyed beyond belief about it... I am just not one of those people. I never could see the color wheel effect and blurring of images on the old DLP projection TV's, and I can't see the 3:2 pulldown/24p judder issues on this tv either.

65" TV hangs fine, but use your own level.
February 24, 2017
Solid bracket, low profile, Sony 65" is still hanging on the wall after 2 months.....-Dinged it 1 star, because it has an integral bubble level....that wasn't. I used the provided level to precisely set the level of the bracket, hung my tv, only to find that "its not level". Took the TV off, put a cabinet level on it, and level it wasn't.-Low Profile - you will NOT have access to install or remove any connections from the back of your TV, which will require you to remove the TV from the wall anytime you want to plug or unplug anything. In summary - TV hangs close to the wall, TV still hanging on the wall, but use your own level when you install it.
Great mount but use your own level when installing.
January 10, 2017
Great mount. When they say low profile they mean it. I used the spacers that are included to get the TV a little off the wall so there was room to run my cables. The only issue I had and it wasn't a big deal because I caught it, was the bubble level built into the mount was not accurate. When I was holding the mount against the wall and set it so the bubble was dead center the frame of the mount looked a little off. I put a hand level on the top of the mount and sure enough it was pretty far off. If I would have attached the mount to the wall using the built in bubble level the TV would have been noticeably off. I would recommend this mount but remember to double check it with a hand level when bolting it to your wall.
Worth it
August 7, 2016
I ended up going to the hardware store to get the right length screws for a Samsung J6200. I understand it's difficult to match every potential screw size with TV make/model, but the manufacturer could have included a variety of differently-sized spacers which would have saved me the trip. The only other issue I had with the product was that the locking bar can only be inserted from the right. Mine is mounted in a corner, so I had to do without that safety feature. Now, a word of warning to buyers--this is a very shallow-depth mount! I use over-the-air antenna TV, which means I have a COAX jack behind the mount and coming off of the back of the TV. It took several tries to find a COAX cable that didn't protrude too far as to prevent the rails from connected with the brackets attached to the TV. It's a very tight fit. Mounting a TV on one of these in a corner with a substantial cable depth will put your marriage to the test. But, the hardware is extremely solid and well attached to both the TV and the wall. It will be there forever--which is a very good thing, because I don't know if my marriage could survive remounting it.
Good mount but not 100% compatible with my TV
August 1, 2016
This came with all the necessary bolts, washer, screws, and even spacers for a curve tv. One of the problems I had is that the bolt (M5) that was for the flat tv was too short for my Samsung UN65KU6300. I had to use the longer bolts for the curve tv and cut off about an inch from it. It is advertised as working for all Samsung but this is not 100% true. It's a good thing I had a dremmel and didn't have to go to Home Depot to find the right size bolts. So if you have a Samsung UN65KU6300, just be aware of this. And also, PLEASE DO NOT RELY ON THE LEVEL. It is not accurate as everyone had mentioned here. It's off by about 2 degrees compared to the 2 other levels I had. On a large TV that is going to be noticeable.Another issue I had was with the locking bar. It's the length of the wall bracket so it's impossible to push the bar all the way in let alone put a lock on it. There is literally about an inch space between the wall and TV. On a smaller tv, it will probably work but definitely not on a 65. So right now I just have it about 3/4 in. So if you want to lock your larger TV, then this is not the mount you want.On the positve:I was able to mount it on a my wall which had 26" stud gap. The height is adjustable 2" up or down and also side ways by about 5 inches on my UN65KU6300. Sideway adjustment will be depended on your VESA mount size on your TV. Mine was pretty narrow but not sure the size. This was a good thing as the mount was not centered because of my stud locations so I was able to center my tv to the wall (mount is off the right by 3"). When adjusting height, make sure you have help on larger TV. This is as close as my TV will get to my wall and did not interfere with the small hump on the bottom rear of my tv. Installation was easy after modifying the bolts and seems to be made of strong metal. Overall I'm still happy with this mount as I was able to work around some of it's negatives and was not concerned about locking my TV. Thus the 4 star rating. Love the way my TV is so close to the wall with this mount. I will post side view pictures later today. For now I only have front view.
Good mount. Very close to the wall
January 17, 2014
I bought this mount after the good reviews on amazon. Mounting the plate to the wall was pretty easy and all the hardware was included. One of the brackets that attach to the TV and are used to hand it to the plate was defective. It has been stamped upside down, so the holes were in the bottom instead of the top part. That made it hard to hang the TV level. I emailed the sellers and they shipped me a new set of brackets quickly. You need at least 2 people to hang a big TV. Make sure you allow enough slack in the cables because you have to connect them all before hanging it on the wall. My 60'' Vizio has ports on the side, but they are pretty hard to get to once the TV is hung. I also found it hard to slide the bar at the bottom to lock the TV. Again, once the TV is hung, very hard to do anything behind it, but that is what you get with a low profile and I am perfectly fine with it.Overall, a very good mount and I would buy it again in the future.
Easy to install
December 29, 2012
The mounting operation is simple and straightforward but the built in bubble level should not be trusted. I tried using it before screwing in the second set of anchors and it was visibly out of level.Very low profile bracket is good for a re-lit LED TVs that have some thinkness to them. My 46" Samsung is about 3.75" thick but stayed tight to the wall and the thickness is only noticeable from the extreme profile position. If running the cables and power in the wall behind the TV, be careful where the access hole is made and where the power and cables connect to the TV. There are not a lot of places to run the wires around the brackets once they are engaged in the wall plate.

very disappointed with this tv. i own 3 other samsung tv's and love them. This tv has sound problems thru the hdmi 1 port and the picture goes in and out on port 2. I tried to view 4k content thru you tube and can tell no difference than the normal picture..unfortunately i had the tv for about 21/2 weeks and then went on vacation. When I returned and tried to return it i got a message thru amazon that it was no longer eligible to be returned. I would not recommend this tv.
Great TV so long as you don't have high hopes for its "SMART" features
June 26, 2016
The price is good and the picture quality is excellent. Moreover, I have it on good authority from two different television repair shops in San Francisco that Samsung is one of only two manufacturers who deliberately design there TVs to be repairable, and in fact is the best in this dimension. That's important because TVs often fail (my last one did) because just one component fails (e.g., the power supply), but everything else is fine. When the internal parts are all glued together, or have weird fasteners, or are difficult to find or are very expensive, then repairing becomes not an option. In that case, you're living on borrowed time and when it does die in 2 years or so (well after the warranty's expired) it's off to the landfill it goes. So, all those characteristics are good.

Now for the bad. The "SMART" features of this Smart TV just aren't that good. Here's what I mean. It comes with apps for most of the usual suspects (Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube, Crackle, etc.). The apps themselves are fine (pretty standard interfaces), but launching them is sometimes "iffy." They sometimes fail to launch, and sometimes do that silently. Sometimes, they die. Moreover, while there's a giant "marketplace" of apps you can install, God help you if you want to install more than 1 or 2 extra. The TV's internal memory is just to small to support very many apps, and I'm not sure it's possible to upgrade the memory. In general, my "set-top box" experience is far superior with dedicated devices (Apple TV, Roku, and Amazon Fire Stick...I own them all), and in this Samsung TV that seems a bit of an after-thought, sort of tacked on.
Great picture quality and function, but issues with flares and dots dropped the rating
January 8, 2016
Picture is great with upscaling. Plays most video formats through the smart hub interface from my network NAS drive connected to the router. Out of the box the picture needs to be adjusted for optimum quality. There are several very good reviews with recommendations for settings. Sound quality has improved over past Samsung TVs at this price point, but I went ahead and purchased the Yamaha sound bar and mounted on the wall just below the TV. I was disappointed when streaming 4K content from Amazon Prime Video using the app on the TV. It may be my ISP or other reason, but it just looked DVD quality and not as good as over the air programming upscaled. I was hoping for better streaming quality.

Pros: Great upscaled picture quality once settings are correct. Sound better than average for TV speakers. Lots of apps and most work well except as stated above. Supports playback of a number of different video codecs.

Cons: Here is where it lost two stars, flares and dots. The left side of the screen and near the corners on the left side have flares (lighter areas along the edges) during dark scenes. Also on dark scenes there are three purple dots, not pixels, but dots about the size of pencil eraser than are persistent in the bottom right quadrant. They are most noticeable during dark scenes but if you get up close you can see them even on lighter scenes. Another negative is the power cord is short. Mine is only about 5 feet long. It has special right angle connectors on each end which helps it fit close to the wall, but the cord is too short to reach my outlet when mounted on the wall. I had to run an extension cord.

Overall I like the TV and haven't decided if it is worth the hassle to send it back. That is where you take your chances buying over the internet. If I had bought it from a local retailer I would have already exchanged it.
I've noticed a low humming noise from the rear of the TV, while off?
December 21, 2015
I just set it up and so far, so good. I have a 75' Samsung in the living room and that picture is awesome. The picture on this 60 is comparable if not equal in clear and color quality to the 75'.

I don't delve into the intricate and consuming picture adjustments, I'd go insane. I concentrate on Dynamic and Natural modes and play with the black levels and some other settings (minor) but I try to keep it simple. Honestly these TV's are high end enough they should have a nice pictures however it greatly depend on the broadcast on how well the TV displays.

Take off that Automotion regardless, that is my baseline. As I mentioned I go back and forth with those 2 modes depending on the time of day and amount of light in the room with any of my TV's. Overall great TV and for less than 1200 for a 60' Samsung this was a deal for us.

A bummer was we had a older version of Fire Stick and you need the 2nd generation (4K compatible) to watch with this TV.

I've noticed a low humming noise from the rear of the TV, while off? I mean so far I haven't any issues with the TV.
Great TV for price, but a few issues to point out....
November 17, 2015
I've had this TV for over a week not and I must say, for the price of a little under 1k it is the best purchase I've ever made. 4k Resolution is outstanding, and running 4k at 60Hz from my PC is breath taking when playing games.

The choice of apps is the usual from any smart TV, but having the option to install more is always a positive. However, the interface could use some work in some built in apps. The memory of the TV as well is minimal, so you won't be install every app you can find, which is to be expected as this is a TV not a phone or other mobile device.

The TV's remote is in "No" way smart TV friendly. Navigating a keyboard is a challenge with a 4 directional keypad, and browsing the web is near impossible with the provided remote.

With the unit I received there have some issues with inconsistent black levels. I do have a very noticeable white cloudy area on the top left of the TV. You won't be bothered while watching bright lit scenes. However, if watching a movie with dark scenes there is a considerable Cloud issue. Perhaps I'm just lucky and got a defective TV, however I am getting the TV replaced due to this defect issue. (See Picture) The picture is a lot worse then it really is, but it is still noticeable to say the least.

Overall, I greatly enjoy the TV, but these few minor issues really do bring out the negatives of the TV.

Slightly better than the sound coming out of the TV but can't even compare to the cheapest BOSS computer speakers (which are $20 more expensive).
Good value but where is the sound
July 16, 2016
I just received my sound bar yesterday. I been listening to music all day and this morning I watched a movie. The sound is good but not great. I have a JBL standalone speaker that has Bluetooth and AUX and sound including bass sounds better than this bigger two piece set. This one is louder but sound quality is just ok. Will keep it but I'm thinking for my small office instead.
Spend more money for a better bar
June 29, 2016
With 120 watts of power it does not have sound you would expect. Bass is acceptable. A little disappointing
Wasn't worth it for us
December 1, 2015
This is for the Samsung HW-J355 120 watt sound bar. I didn't have high expectations but this really sounded anemic and weak on all settings other than Night mode. On Night mode it was ok and dramatically better than any other sound setting. Our J-series 60" Samsung actually has comparable or better sound from it's speakers on all other settings. We never managed to get the wireless connection from our 2015 Samsung TV to connect to the sound bar and after trying with Samsung for twenty minutes, we gave up. Optical worked just fine.I was not pleased that I still have to use the sound bar remote despite having a new 2015 Samsung SUHD TV. This seems incredibly basic - allow the TV remote to operate both. The same goes for using it with Uverse, none of the remote codes worked on our S10-4 remote. Blame AT&T for that possibly but it would be a big plus to us. It's possible I missed a way to do this but we found no way to get around using yet another remote. The subwoofer is ok but really basic. They give you a long thin cord to connect to the subwoofer which is nice. The decision to try another system came watching Interstellar - with any bass or a fuller sound spectrum this system just seems overwhelmed and we had trouble even understanding speech over the music in noisier scenes. It's probably a good buy for a no-hassle, minimal wires setup for a TV with truly awful sound but for larger TV's my guess is that you won't be thrilled with this system. I do think the value for the price is pretty good.

Soundbar works well, Subwoofer does not.
July 13, 2016
This is the 2nd unit I purchased in "Like-New" condition through Amazon Warehouse Deals due to a 20% off during their pre-Prime Day promotion. The 1st unit worked well with the exception of the sub-woofer which would intermittently shut off and come back on again. I contacted Samsung which help me troubleshoot the issue, all they did was assist with resetting the sub-woofer connection which did not help. I should add the unit was far from "Like-New" with blemishes, animal hair, and a couple of candy wrappers. I returned that one and the same day I re-ordered another "Like-New" unit since CS offered to discount another 20% due to the 1st unit being defective and since I've had good experiences with items being virtually new every time through warehouse deals. The 2nd unit arrived the very next and the soundbar itself looked new, with the exception of the sub-woofer and all the accessories that looked like it was re-packed in a rush. Low and behold, the sub did not work... not even intermittently. I went ahead and tried resetting the sub with virtually no difference. At this point I'm resigned to keep it since I need a good soundbar and it was priced very well. I'm going to file a claim with Samsung to see if they will repair/replace the sub.
I was somewhat disappointed in this sound bar's performance
April 12, 2016
I was somewhat disappointed in this sound bar's performance.I can barely hear the sub woofer(even after I adjusted the bass level and sub volume to the max level). The LG sound bar is much better quality. I have the samsung in a room half the size the LG is in. And the LG rocks the whole room with its sub woofer(you can't adjust the bass level on the LG and you don't need to). It's definitely worth the price difference. I purchased the Lg when it was on sale for $180. It was $280 at the time I purchased this Samsung($198). Based on the reviews, I thought this was a equal product. Boy was I wrong. Get the LG!!! You will be glad you did.
Occasional glitches, delayed sync up and mediocre voice quality
March 29, 2016
A much better option than the speakers provided on my TV, but I wouldn't say that this is the best I've ever heard. There is about a 2-4 second delay before the sound bar syncs up with the TV after using it for about a month, before that it synced up perfectly with no delay. Also there has been times when the sound would start glitching for no reason.
More of a pain than it is worth
March 23, 2016
This is a pain to hook up frankly, and the directions are poor. I just wasn't in the mood to hook up a full on surround sound so I figured I would just get this. It works, but the sound is not all that great. If I had it to do over again, I would not bother with this thing.
This Sound-bar is not bad but doesn't look like 300W though
December 15, 2015
This Sound-bar is not bad but doesn't look like 300W though. It definitely has a better sound than my Samsung UN50HU8550 4k TV but not as good as I expected. May be because sub-woofer is where it lacks the thump. It says it has 6 levels for sub-woofer but 1st 4 are useless. You don't feel that the sub-woofer is on. I have to always keep it at level 6 (top level) to enjoy movies.

My take --
Decent as an entry level sound-bar but could have been better mainly sub-woofer could have been made lot better.
But yes, very good in terms of compatibility with my tv. Automatically goes off when I switch off my tv, starts and connect automatically and quickly when I switch on the tv and can be operated with tv remote only. Full marks to Samsung there.

No good for Netflix

Great picture but some initial trouble automatically darkening.Fundamentally Samsung has serious software issues with third party apps.Netflix doesn't work on a lot of Samsung TV's including this one.Samsung helpdesk can spend hours with suggestions to no avail. Internet blogs have tons of suggestions that don't work. Basically, if you want Netflix to work you'll waste a lot of time or simply need to buy and Amazon stick.

2 out of 5 JU6500's defective - great quality control Samsung!!
October 24, 2015
During playback of .mov files via flashdrive, 2 out of 5 of my ju6500 TVs randomly stop playing .mov files via flashdrive. On the 40" TV the screen goes dark, but appears to remain on, and freezes. I have to power off the TV and restart the video. The 48" TV also stops playing files, but goes to the USB source screen. I've updated the firmware on both TVs and called Samsung customer service, but to no avail. The other 3 ju6500's work without any issues. Oh well, Samsung lacking quality control(?) The build is solid, but none of the TV mounting screws that come with the package fitted for my Samsung 60" TV, they were either too short or too long. Had to get screws from Homedepot. The main problem that I had was the leveling bubble, it came crooked. I didn't realize it until the TV was mounted. I had to reinstall it with the use of a real level. I'd rather that it didn't come with the leveling bubble, it caused me double work. Therefore 3 stars.

It works. Pretty flimsy. I wouldn't mount anything that is close to the advertised supporting weight. I do like the locking rod at the bottom of the mount. In my opinion, it is much better than the swivel/swing locks on other mounts. The incessant emails for a review are annoying.
Not the best, I don't believe.
July 10, 2015
Not perfect by any means. We lined up the vertical supports for the back of the TV in exactly the same holes on each side. It obviously wasn't cut very well because one side is about a quarter inch lower than the other even though they are in the same holes for both brackets.. It works but I hope when we have guests over they don't break out the tape measure and realize that our TV is a quarter inch higher on one side then it is on the other...
Strong and well made, but one critical "whoops"!
February 27, 2014
This is a great low-profile, strong wall mount. It's simple and strong and well made, and certainly gets the job done. And it comes with a nice hardware package of 6 big wall screws and a bunch of TV mount machine screws and spacers. I didn't use the included HDMI cable, preferring my own top-quality ones. But it has one unbelievable flaw -- that would have been SO SIMPLE for the manufacturer to correct ... but "too late now" I suppose.I'm sure you're aware that the age-old standard for residential houses in North America have the wall studs spaced at 16 inches, center to center. So when you go to secure this mount to your home wall, you want to find a place for the screws at 0, 16, and 32 inches apart. While this bracket has lots of long slotted areas for the wall mount screws, there are NONE where you can find them at 0, 16, and 32 inches! Incredibly stupid, it seems. Then again, in the country of manufacture, there's probably a different standard for the spacing. But if you're going to sell the product in North America, you really ought to provide appropriate spacing/slotting for the standard here.So anyway, I had to get out my angle grinder and elongate a set of slots near the center of the mount, by about 3/4 inch, so that I could get the necessary 0/16/32 spacing ... and then securely screwed it to my wall studs. You could hang a car from this mount, if you could figure out how to attach it to the verticals.I'd give it a full five stars apart from this slot-spacing design "whoops".GregP.S. Now that I look at the product photograph on Amazon again, I realize that some folks may be confused by my comments above. The product photo shows a continuous set of long slots, so if I received the pictured mount, there would surely be the opportunity to line up at 0/16/32. But the wall mount that I received is slightly different from what is pictured. On mine, those wide slots aren't continuous all the way across. Rather, near the center of the mount, there's more metal left in place, so the slots are narrower. Perhaps mine is an older design that is now fixed by the design shown in the picture. Or perhaps mine is a newer design that added more metal for strength -- but inadvertently caused this 0/16/32 spacing issue. I don't know. But it appeared "new in the box" when I unpacked it, and shipped via Amazon Prime mid-February 2014.

Samsung has the best picture. But just like their phones
January 15, 2017
Power supply went out on the 13th month. Out of warranty. Samsung has the best picture. But just like their phones, the power supply fail within a year. The 2014-2016 models have the cheap power supply. Keep that in mind when considering Samsung.
Do not bu Susung TV ... not reliable and dependable
December 31, 2016
I bought this TV last April from Amazon, it was working fine last 8 to 9 months, but it does not turn on now, still under warranty call Sumsaug they want me to unplug and wait for 5 hours, then call back again, then they will send a thrid party service company to look at the TV, which can take few days. I had a 60" sumsung that lasted almost 2 years then it shuts off every 15 to 20 min, called Sumsung sent someone, since it was out of warranty, it would cost 400 to repair, so I want and bought this TV in April now this one is also dead. I will never buy Sumsung TV again, they are not relaible at all
Otherwise TV is very good.
April 29, 2016
When arrived the TV was well packaged in two boxes and had no sign of any damage, but when opened I found about 100 - 120 mm crack in the rear plastic panel of the TV. Otherwise TV is very good.

Watch Sports? Don't buy this TV, 60 HERTZ, this TV is 60 Hertz
February 2, 2016
If you watch sports do not buy this TV. Yes I ready all about changing the settings, which I did and made the picture better, but nothing can make up for the 60 hertz of power for watch fast action scenes or sports. I have been a Samsung Plasma fan since they first came out, I live near sea level so I don't get the buzzing noise and get to enjoy 600hrz of motion free blur and never wanted to go the LED route, well since plasma's are out, (more expensive to manufacture and too many returns due to buzzing)...I had to go with the LED, but this TV is horrible, the first day we setup was a Sunday Night football, my wife and I literally could not watch we got so dizzy from the picture. Turned the motion flow off and it got a little better but it was HORRIBLE> I gave the TV a month before I caved watching Russell Wilson in the NFC playoffs throw a ball and watch the TV sputter as he threw the ball, anything less than a 6500 is junk, people said this one was okay but it is not. I bought the Sony for a couple hundred bucks more on Amazon and it is AWESOME!!!!! The Sony I bought is the 120 hertz, anything less than that is not worth it, I bought the 830C and I am very happy!!!

July 5, 2016
It is not compatable with all the newer Samsung TV unless you have their expensive TV's with their propriety TV 'Sound Connect"\ I purchased it with a new Samsung thinking they would not need two (three with cable modem) remotes. Sound is good for the price but you have to use the seperate remote that comes with it for on off and volume control\ Add another remote on the coffee table!!!
Good sound, needs to be comptabile with other remotes
May 9, 2016
Good sound quality, a much better improvement then the TV speakers. Only issue, you can't program other remote controls to control the volume unless you have a Samsung TV. That requires having to keep the speaker's remote handy and it's pretty small (1" x 4") so tends to get misplaced in between the couch cushions.

Meh. Not the quality of samsung that I'm used to.... hopefully not a sign for products across samsung
March 15, 2017
I like the sound bar. It worked pretty well for the most part. It was easy to set up. But I have a major problem with the quality. It stopped powering on completely after 1 year and not even 2 months. Of course the warranty was only 1 year. It's not like it suffered abuse of any kind, it sat on top of my media cabinet and was dusted regularly. I was a fan of Samsung products because I felt like they were quality. But not anymore. After letting them know of the problem, I thought they'd offer me an exchange or a free look at it, or maybe a discount on another. Nothing. They didn't offer me anything. So let this be a lesson to everyone, be cautious with purchasing this sound bar. Unless you like replacing sound bars every year. I guess maybe rich people wouldn't mind. I personally don't like spending $150 for something that lasts one year. 2 stars for working, and getting back to me in a reasonable amount of time to tell me that they won't help with their stupid, broken, inferior product. Cheers.
Subwoofer is a huge disappointment.
July 17, 2016
I bought this system trusting that Samsung products are reliable, but I was wrong. The soundbar works nicely, and it connects well to the subwoofer. However, as big as the subwoofer is, it should've been able to shake my small room at max capacity. It barely vibrates at all !!! Even though the subwoofer sucks, it's still makes the soundbar sound better if you use them together. My Logitech Speaker System Z323 with Subwoofer sound better than these two and it was way cheaper. I will be contacting Amazon/Samsung to see if I can exchange or return this item. Very disappointed.
All about that bass (but there is none)
February 17, 2016
I've always been very brand loyal to Samsung, so this was a disappointing review to write. I purchased this after a lot of research because it's a great price point and I've always liked the name. The installation wasn't too difficult, but admittedly took longer than I felt it should have for someone who knows what they're doing. The wireless sub connected effortlessly to the unit, which was helpful. Unfortunately, that's the only good thing I have to say about the sub. It was very weak, and with all the appropriate settings jacked to the max I still couldn't get it to be anything more than barely audible. I'm not expecting for it to sound like one of those cars going down the street with a 12" cannon in the back seat, but when a t-rex stomps his foot on the ground I want to feel it in my groin. I played around with the placement of the sub, understanding that can have a great affect on how the sound is reverberated... no luck. The sound bar itself was fine and easy to use. The HDMI (ARC) connection didn't sound nearly as good as the optical, so I didn't take advantage of the ability to sync the volume adjustments with the tv. In the end, i don't care about having an extra remote or any of the fancy bells and whistles. I only care about how it sounds, and this didn't meet my standards. I was disappointed enough that I returned it to Amazon, which I've typically never had to do with a large purchase that I thoroughly researched. I can't stay mad at you Samsung, you still make a fantastic tv.
I read a number of great reviews on this soundbar but I had to return ...
January 18, 2016
I read a number of great reviews on this soundbar but I had to return it. My issues may have been linked to my cable provider but the reason I returned was as follows: I have Comcast, and there not a way to program their remote to the soundbar via the optical cable. It only works through the HDMI ARC port. I have a Samsung UHD TV, so the speaker and TV discovered each other immediately.

Next- very little sound from the sub woofer. Even watching a move. I was paired properly.

The biggest reason for the return was the sound from the speaker and what was on the screen were delayed. The soundbar has a nice feature to deal with this, but I could not just adjust it once and then that setting carryover, Nope every channel was different and I was a constant struggle. Even if you corrected the delay and then shut the tv off, the setting was not retained.

So back this went and I got a Yamaha YAS-105 which works very well
Setup was very easy. Soundbar had clear
December 19, 2015
Setup was very easy. Soundbar had clear, defined sound with good options to modify to sports or cinema settings. Woofer had no punch at all and to get any "push" you had to crank the volume on the soundbar to uncomfortable volume levels to get even a little response from the woofer. Returned it.

Not quiet good enough due to motion blur.
December 6, 2015
This tv has major motion blur. It also had issues transitioning from white to black and vise versa. Mouse cursors will leave a very noticeable streak. This tv has judder even at 24p so I can't recommend it just for watching tv/movies. If the motion blur wasn't so bad this could have been a great tv at a good price point. I recommend getting the JU7500 instead as it is a way better screen.
My first bad experience with Samsung products.
October 4, 2015
The first unit I received had a broken screen, it would not start; a replacement unit was sent and when I started it the picture was blurry; I tried different adjustments but it did not work; I returned both units. I cannot tell what was wrong; maybe these were reject units; I decided to go with Sony and the experience had been wonderfully flawless. Although I still like Samsung, they failed this time.

Required significant modifications
December 31, 2015
I got this mount for the 40" Samsung UNJ5200 and it required extensive modifications to make it work. I would normally have just sent it back but I had time on my hands and some serious metal working tools to do the job so I modified it. Here were the problems;* The back of the TV at the bottom protrudes out about 1". The two vertical mounting bars had to stick out above the top of the TV to not run into the bottom protrusion. So I had to cut about 4" off of the two mounting bars.* The TV's audio jacks point out of the back. The horizontal mounting plate blocked the audio jacks from being used. I ended up cutting about 8" off of the right side of the mounting plate. The mounting screws on the TV were only 8" apart so there was still plenty of width to mount the TV.* The supplied 8mm screws were the wrong length so I had to buy some new ones at the hardware store. The only positives about the mounting bracket;* The price was good* It was wide enough to span 16" wall studs for mounting (even after cutting off 8")
Highly Dissapointed
December 17, 2015
Highly disappointed that the design of this product doesn't takje into concern that there needs to be cords in the back. It is very difficult to hang properly without smashing cords because there isn't enough wall clearance. Other than that it was not difficult to install or figure out but the clearance is a huge problem when trying to install a TV properly without it falling due to it being instable.Price was great and shipping was great that was what got it the two stars.

November 11, 2015
the lever does not work, when I mounted the item on the wall using the lever it was uneven so I had get an independent level in my garage to fix that problem. there is an bracket which should be used as additional security which I didn't use because you would have to buy a small padlock to secure the bracket on to the wall mount , at the end of the day the wall mount holds my television on the wall so it does the job.
Built like they used to. One mistake
August 28, 2015
After buying three mounts and not being satisfied with any of them I can across this one. I have to say I'm satisfied, it is one piece unlike most other products. The arms attached to the TV have four hooks (instead of two or four). All hardware needed to install is included. I used my own lag screws because the included 3/8" with 1/2 drive with included washers were a little too small for the holes (in my opinion). The only negative is the bubble level, but I won't take any stars off for that because just about every mount with an included bubble level has the same issue. One huge mistake in design was made with this one. The bolts will be in the way when moving the tv into place. Because this mount has more hooks those hooks will interfere with the bolts giving it limited range of motion. I’d recommend you to say away from this one. It is very sturdy however so are most.
Meh - Close to wall mount - poor mount spacing & quality
August 11, 2014
It mounts close to the wall but the built-in bubble was broken and contained no liquid. The locking bar is a joke as there is no way that can be inserted with a larger screen. Had to drill through the steel since they do not allow for standard stud spacing on the top (how hard is that to do??).

A great TEMPORARY TV.
August 19, 2017
Was great for a year but that's all. When I bought this TV it came with a 1 year warranty. Guess how long it took for the TV to break? A year and 1 day. It's almost like it was planned. My Samsung TV developed a vertical bright purple line straight down the center of it. No explanation as to why and I can't get it to go away no matter what I try. I even called Samsung support and went through all their troubleshooting and we still couldn't fix it. It's really frustrating to watch anything on this TV because it's like the picture is split in half. Really wish the warranty lasted longer. It's ridiculous that a product this expensive can't even last 1 year. Will not be buying a Samsung TV again. Buy at your own risk of this happening to you.
BEWARE OF LEMONS
May 20, 2017
After owning this for twenty months, the TV went dark. It worked fine in the morning, and then would not turn on in the afternoon. Called Samsung and they said to call Best Buy for a Technician to come out and take a look at it. Do we want to pay two hundred dollars to find out what's wrong with a lemon? The TV was above the mantle so neither our grandkids or anyone else for that matter ever touched it. We've owned several TVs over the years and have never had a problem with any of them. We would update them when they got to be too old. This product was a disappointment to say the least. Will not buy a Samsung again. Our twelve years old TOSHIBA still has a great picture and have never had a problem with it!

July 14, 2016
Worked great for 3 months and then the audio started to cut out intermittently. At first I thought is was the audio source (the TV or or cable box) but it does the same thing regardless of the input source or method of audio input (Bluetooth, HDMI, SoundConnect are the only ones I've tried). Now it does it all the time for 15-20 seconds at a time. Samsung tech support asks for the same information I already supplied and has not replied to me in the last 3 weeks. Save yourself the headache an go with a different brand (or go to Best Buy so you can return the heap of junk when it fails).
Poor performance and value for the money.
April 26, 2016
Extremely poor performance. Less than half the volume and fullness of sound than the 310 watt model (of which I have 2). The only stated difference is that this subwoofer has 140 w of power, while the 310 watt model's subwoofer has 150w, but the difference is HUGE, believe me! I would go with another model. Avoid this one or you'll regret it.

My speakers were old. Loved replacing them with a slim sleak look. The sound quality is not great. Cannot get the words and lips to sinc. Maybe a more expensive version would work better but would not recommend these.
Poor sound quality
January 6, 2016
I was very disappointed with the sound on these speakers. The subwoofer is barely audible. I don't want my bass rattling the windows or shaking my couch, but it should at least be moderately audible. Unfortunately there's no way to adjust gain or crossover. There isn't even an on/off switch. Plugging it in turns it on (assuming the soundbar is on). I have these hooked up to a Samsung 60" 6500 series TV via Samsung's SoundConnect wireless connectivity. The stadium sound setting on the TV is actually much better than the same setting on the soundbar. I've tried tweaking the setting, but overall I'm very dissatisfied with the sound quality of the J450 speakers.

September 15, 2017
If the center position where you want to install this TV has a wall stud at the center position this item will not work unless you modify it. You have to offset install this and it doesn't give you enough room to center the TV. I had to add an inch and a quarter plate to extend it. The studs were installed correctly 16 in. Also the longest mounting bolts provided to install on the Samsung 55 inch TV were too short only three turns we're holding it .
Wrong bracket
June 8, 2017
I bought this mount last year and left it boxed for when I got around to finally reworking my living room. So the day finally came and I took the parts out, attached the brackets to the back of the tv and then went to drill holes in the wall with the mounting bracket as a template. Unfortunately, it turns out, the bracket is the wrong one in the box. The picture on the box and the instructions are right, the bracket in the box...wrong. Sigh. So I've called the company several times and all I get is voice mail. No person. No return phone call. All I want is the correct bracket. Is that too much to ask?

I mounted it fine and it was strong and sturdy. Because I was placing it in some built in shelves I couldn't use the locking bar, but didn't see why I needed it. BUT I could not mount it on its bottom hooks because the AC plug and HDMI cables of my TV plug into the back of the TV and they pushed the bottom out so the TV would not hook onto the bottom hooks. Ordering one with a retractable mount, easier to work and changeout things plugging into back.

December 22, 2015
Beware, this product is NOT as described on the website. Website description said the mount would fit up to Max VESA 750x450 and would include a 6 ft HDMI cable. But the actual product only fits Max VESA 600x400, and there was no HDMI cable included as was described. For those who need a wide bracket to accommodate a large span between the mounting screws the back of the TV, this will not work. See the attached photo of the box that has the actual description of the product.
