Amazing picture quality more so than a lot of more pricier ones
April 16, 2016
This is a very nice tv with an amazing picture. The 4k video quality will blow you away, especially if this is your first 4k tv like it was mine. You do have to configure it some but I just followed a couple of the reviews and then tweaked it further to my liking. I was watching a 1080p movie and was amazed at the different. The quality was so nice that I had to check back and make sure that it was not a 4k video. Even tv shows using plex or chromecast look waaay better on this tv than my other two previous 1080p tvs. No matter what people say about it being a cheaper tv, this is a very NICE tv all in all. The build quality is excellent and the smart features are nice. That said the software does lack as it does not have the Google Play store so you do not have a large number of apps but add in a $35 chromecast and you will be good to go. Now their app store does have the essentials like plex, youtube, facebook(ugh), flicker, hulu plus, crackle, iheart radio, etc. but you will not have as many choices in apps as you would with an external device.

I have had this tv for 4 days now and every time I watch something on it, I am reamazed by the quality of the picture.

I bought the M80-C3 80 inch 4K Vizio TV. Its an upgrade from my previous 65 inch 1080p vizio, which i was very happy with, and is now in my bedroom!

I mounted this vizio on the wall where my 65 used to be. I havent watched any 4K content on it yet, because 4K content is still a little hard to find, but I will try that out very soon. So far, this TV is fantastic even watching 1080p content.

Vizio makes one of the least expensive 4K tv's on the market, but I think the picture is awesome so far. For the price, I dont think theres a better TV on the market. I have a huge room, so 80 was the perfect size.
This TV is easy to set up
January 15, 2016
Upgrading from a 2009 Samsung LCD 32inch 720p TV to this.

Purchased December 21st 2015 and got it December 23th 2015
Over the years, I have watched Samsung up their prices, and Vizio keep their prices affordable while still producing the same quality. Sure, there are some technical aspects that separate the two brands, but these are usually for those looking for a specific use TV (like gaming only or for a computer only).

This TV is easy to set up. The smart features are great, but limited however, being able to cast your android device to the TV WITHOUT a casting device like Chromecast is brilliant. It was one of the selling points for me. Simply download the chromecast app, and cast your content to your TV. No need to set ANYTHING up on this TV!

The amount of HDMI ports was another selling point. Having 5 of them plus a USB port is great. My old Samsung only had two and it was frustrating switching between components being that the cable box consumes one HDMI port. HDMI ports on here are realitivly easy to get to.

After setting this TV up, I went straight to Netflix (one push of a button on the remote brings Netflix, Amazon and iHeart Radio apps up, regardless what else is going on on the TV) and watched a 4K video. I recommend the Oceans 4k movie. Being able to see every drop of water as the wave hits the rock in stunning REAL 4k is brilliant. FYI - you have to upgrade your Netflix subscription to see this... however, the upscale in this TV will take a 1080p move from Netflix and upscale it to 4k. Another FYI - most cable companies (comcast) only broadcast in 720p. Still, the upscale works great.

Second selling point was the 120hz... real 120hz. I have seen TV's that try to produce 120 or even 240 and high pace action sceens tend to display that blur. For example, watching a football game, the football, when thrown, will have a tracer attached to it as the TV is having a hard time keeping up with this. For this very reason, avoid simulated 120 or 240hz. For those that are curious, (and still reading this), watching football on this TV is a pure orgasmic joy... again, coming from and old LCD 32" TV.

Other things I have seen people concerned about, the glare on the TV... this has none. It has a really good anti glare cover.

My ONLY concerns for this TV is the clouding of the direct backlighting. What this means, when you have a pure white image on the screen, you will see some dark cloud like areas. These are shadows created by not enough active zone LED backlights. This is why it has become such a marketable thing for manufactures. The more active zone LED backlights, the less clouding. Unfortunately for us, you pay almost $200 and up for double amount of active zones. Again, this only shows up on a very white screen, and is only noticeable to someone looking for it. All other colors do not have this issue... that I can see.

Another issue that I have ran into is using a hard drive to play movies. Generally, actually, 90% of the times, I have no issues using my Toshiba 2TB 3.0 usb hard drive plugged into this TV to play movies. The issue I have is some folders just simply do not like to open. What happens instead is when you access a certain folder (it is fairly consistent with which folders cause this error to happen), it simply turns the hard drive off, and changes the input to whatever you had it on previously. I am logically guessing that there might be a power to hard drive issue or, more likely, a hard drive reading issue where the TV's software that sends a request to the hard drive and the hard drive tells the TV that it is stuck. I have not tried other hard drives.

My only wish list, aside from MORE apps, is to have a power button on the top or side. I like to turn the tv off via button on the TV (seems to turn things off quicker I suppose) as opposed to the remote.

If you have any questions, please let me know!

I was going to stick with Vizio because even if I didn't like that it was immortal
August 10, 2015
My first flat screen TV was a Vizio, a 32 inch one I bought 8 years ago. My wife and I had an agreement that when it died, I could buy a new one. One time a few years ago it had a line of pixels flaking out, and I thought for sure my time was coming but sure enough it corrected itself shortly thereafter. I was beginning to think it would never die.

It still hasn't but I managed to convince my wife to upgrade and after a lot of internal debate between a 4K tv and a larger plain HD one, I settled on the 50 inch 4k. I was going to stick with Vizio because even if I didn't like that it was immortal, my last TV had done right by me.

Setup was a breeze and I quickly mounted it and without touching it, it looks great. Keep in mind I have the eyes of an 80 year old, and I'm not the type to go in and fine tune anything or talk seriously about black levels. I care about taking something out of the box and it just looking great and this TV does.

The only thing I could possibly ding it on is the remote. Compared to my old TV remote, this one just feels chintzy. The plastic feels light and thin and it's far from ergonomic like the old style Vizio ones. Granted this one has a keyboard on it's back, but it's just a giant rectangular block of plastic.
The absolute best picture available at any price . Impeccable service . Mor than 5 stars
May 21, 2015
I'm not sure how Amazon relates reviews to products . Many of the reviews here have no relationship to my TV , the 70in 4kM model 240hz ultra hd LED TV . Reviews vary from 40 in 42in 50 in 120 hs , non 4k TV . Careful what you read .
Another caveat . Several reviews describe using this TVas a monitor for their computer or for gaming . I bought this for a home entertainment center. I suspect most others are looking for the same . So my review is for the M70 4k ultra hd smart LED hdtv 240 hs. For my stated purpose. If you want this for home entertainment my review is for you .
The picture is beyond expectations . Crisp , no blur , no judder or sputter . You can watch formula.1 racing or Jason Spieths fastest swing with no blur . The picture needs tweaking . This takes less than 5 min.. Flesh tones are spot on . Set up is simple . The stands are good and hold this monster stable . Viewing from any angle is great to awesome. No bad . The picture is far better than any movie theatre .in any mode , 4k or not , the picture is clear ,crisp and as I said awesome . The 4k from Netflex rivals Ansel Adams for clarity and detail . Nature documentaries put you in the scene. Though not 3d it feels like it . The depth of colors is natures own .
No one wishing a home theatre would expect the sound from ANY TV screen to be adequate. I have 7 speakers , a great receiver , a giant twin speaker ( heavy ) woofer from THX . Two rear speakers are imbedded in the ceiling . You are NOT buying this TV to be a sound system . You are buying a truly superb picture . It's senseless to comment on the sound quality. Quality sound is impossible in any flat screen. So , expect to spend whatever your budget can stand for sound .
So how do I rate this TV . I wish I could give 10 stars . You cannot do better for picture quality. I recommend a good audio sound specialist or a name brand system . Don't forget your theater chairs , popcorn machine , etc.. I could add tech talk . But , why! Enjoy . My puppy loves the picture.
One additional important point . Using Amazon prime the set arrived when promised . Two very nice men unboxed , set the screen on the stands , plugged it in and waited to be sure there was no damage or grey screen . Making sure we were pleased they then carried away the debris.

Amazing sound. Bought based on reviews and price and its awesome. On a side note, I was curious about the sub connecting through Bluetooth and then the connection with Bluetooth through my phone. The sub connects automatically with no buttons pressed after being turned on. Synching the phone is easy by holding down the Bluetooth button on the bar or remote, switching back to the TV for the bar is as easy as pushing the input button once. ' great sound, very full, love it. Get it.
Awesome sound bar
June 2, 2016
Awesome sound bar!!! I've loved every minute with it, especially when the sub-woofer gets to come out and play! :) Bluetooth, movies, games......it does a great job on everything and is really simple but still has a lot of sound customization you can get into if you want to. I'll let other reviewers give all the details but just wanted to add my happy customer voice!
but I was really happy with the quality of it while it was working ...
April 23, 2016
This was my second purchase of the sound bar, as the first one i bought (same model) stopped working after a week This usually would be a red flag to not reorder, but I was really happy with the quality of it while it was working so I figured, hey things happens let me give it another shot.I have this plugged into my Vizio TV and use it for playing video games and watching movies. It has a sub-woofer which is placed by our sofa and provides a very nice bass level. The sound level's the sound bar produces and the clarity is just right for our apartment. We can raise the volume pretty high without experiencing any quality loss. We also frequently use the bluetooth feature to play music from our phones to the sound bar without any problems.Very happy with this purchase! In the future we may go for a 5.1 instead.
Can't believe how good this sounds.
January 30, 2016
I bought this just to play streaming music from my phone in my living room. I wanted to replace my small portable BT speaker I got last year. I'm overwhelmed by the sound and value of this unit.It has phenomenal bass for a unit of its size. I'm blown away by how it fills my entire room with warm sound. Low profile and I like the minimalist light indicators. Connects to my phone's Bluetooth immediately. I'd recommend this to anyone, especially from Amazon warehouse deals. I got an open box unit for a significant savings. The entire unit was unmarred and in absolutely new condition.
Excellent sound quality with no distortion!
June 29, 2015
I was looking for a great sound bar to go with the new 50 inch LED tv I'd purchased. Prices for stereo surround systems can run from a few hundred up into the thousands and I personally wasn't looking to spend that much. I wanted something that was better than my tv's speakers without the price of a premium system. I read a LOT of reviews before deciding on this new VIZIO sound bar. Amazon was offering an extra $30 off the normal price for Prime members and I couldn't beat $148 for this system anywhere. This sound gets great reviews from a lot of techies and I can honestly say that it's a great system. It's not just a great sound bar for the money. Instead, this sound bar beats other costing WAY more than this. It has a solid construction, a wireless bluetooth subwoofer and a remote control. To test this sound bar, I played lots of movies (like Godzilla, Transformers and anything else with lots of high pulsing sound) and there was no distortion whatsoever. The sound is crisp and clear and it's so much easier to make out what actors are saying when they tend to mumble. Recently I had a guy over who works as an eletronics installer setting up home theaters for people. He was so impressed with this sound bar that he said he'd make it a point to pick one up. He mentioned that he's installed sound bars for other people from all the big brand names and most of those systems didn't sound as good as my VIZIO. If you want a great sound bar and not pay and arm and a leg for it, get this system. It's easy to set up and you'll love it!
Excellent sound for the price
June 21, 2015
Just wanted to add that I am very pleased with this purchase. I use it only for music, and have so far only used the bluetooth function with a phone and a tablet. It is so nice having zero wires (except for power cords) and such a compact system for my living room. I have the soundbar placed on a mantle that doesn't have a lot of depth to it - which is why I went with this over individual speakers.Even over bluetooth, which is necessarily not going to sound as good as a good analog speaker system, the sound quality is amazing. I listen to lots of different genres of music, including classical, rock, and rap and electronic music. I have not yet plugged an audio cable into the speaker because even through bluetooth the sound is much better than my old setup. I'm sure it must sound even more amazing with high quality Dolby digital tv stuff.

Great deal for high quality
September 21, 2017
This wall mount is high quality and very versatile. The basic arms of the mount fit perfectly to our 42" TV, so I would have to assume if you had a larger television the extending arms would just as well. The directions included were easy to follow and all hardware was nicely labeled and included.*Please remember that knowing where your wall studs are or using drywall anchors ensure that the mount is secure.*The mount does offer extension from the wall and the TV moves very easily. My only complaint would be that to angle the TV you must hand adjust and then lock into place making angling the television not always an easy task, but this does ensure more security for your telvision. We also appreciated the level and the HDMI cord that was included with the price. Overall an amazing deal for a quality product that cost upwards of $100 or more in stores.Would definitely buy again and recommend to family and friends.
Drill 3/16" Pilot Hole, Not 7/32" - Otherwise Easy to Install and STRONG!
June 9, 2016
I used to install TVs for people professionally, so I have used many different mounting systems. I was looking for something cheap, but reliable to hang a 50" LG 50LA6200 LCD TV. I looked at a lot of options both on Amazon as well as elsewhere before settling in this one. I am happy that I did!For starters, this comes with EVERYTHING that you could possible need to hang your TV, with the exception of a #2 phillips head screwdriver and a drill. Included are a complete assortment of screws, bolts and washers (all neatly organized and labeled in individual packets), a double-sided spanner wrench, a very nice magnetic level, and even a 10' HDMI cable. The instructions say to use the "optional" expansion kit for larger TVs. Usually, this is code for "kit not included." I was pleasantly surprised to find that that was not the case here. For once, the "optional" kit was actually included!Installation was a breeze for me, even without instructions since I already know how this works, but I found the instructions relatively easy to follow for those who need them. All of the various configurations for the expansion arms can get confusing, but just try each one until you find the right setup for your TV.** PLEASE NOTE **There is one change to the instructions that I highly suggest, however. The instructions say to drill a 7/32" pilot hole into the stud for each mounting bolt. Then screw the bolt in with a phillips head screwdriver. When I first mounted this (I wound up moving it shortly thereafter), I followed the suggestions for the pilot hole. Sure enough the screw did thread in easily... a little TOO easily. The second hole from the top actually stripped out and I was not putting much force behind the screwdriver at all! When I moved this to the other side of the room, I decided to go with a smaller pilot bit. I used a 3/16" bit instead. Granted, you are not going to thread the bolt in with a screwdriver - you will need a 10mm socket - but doing it this way, those bolts are not going anywhere! You could probably get away with a 13/64" bit, but to really protect your expensive TV, I would want all of the bite I could get!I also found that the inside diameter of one of the washers was a smidge too small for the bolt to go through. I just enlarged it with a round needle file, but since they don't include any spares, if you don't have a file or another washer laying around, you'll need to get one. Just thought I'd throw that out there in the interest of full disclosure.Once this was installed, I was impressed with not only the sturdiness, but also with the complete range of motion. This is fully articulated. You can put your TV pretty much anywhere you want to. The only thing it can't do is move your TV up or down, although you can tilt it to a certain degree.
This TV mount is beyond my expectations. Very well built.
March 14, 2016
So I was very skeptical of this product when I first looked at it, lots of people saying it would tear out of the wall shortly after installation and all that. Lemme tell you, they just did it wrong or like complete idiots; you do no use dry-wall mounts for a heavy TV, possibly a lighter TV, and I can not stress the word "Light" enough. No one should be using dry-wall mounts in the first place, they are not reliable... plain and simple.Anyways, back to my experience with the product. I have it mounted above my Xbox One about 4 feet off the ground. I mounted to a stud in the wall and right after that, my roommate who weighs around 150 LBS hung off of it for about 5 seconds at the base and it didn't even budge; now that's a tough wall mount if I ever saw one! I put my 40" Samsung TV on the mount, and I can extend/swivel/angle/tilt it however I want. The gear it comes with is pretty high quality and especially the level. For an add on to the product the level is pretty decent for it's designed purpose. The packaging is well done and the parts are all labeled well and accordingly. Make sure you use washers on the outside of the mount before you put the TV adapter on your TV, they will save you a lot of grief.I've had this wall mount for a month so I felt pretty confident in writing a review. I'll add some pictures to let you know the range of motion as well as how the TV looks how I attached the adapter and the part where it's mounted to the wall. I can sit specifically off to the side and enjoy the TV along, I can turn it to look at my PC area so I can play while I talk to friends on Skype or other chat programs and I can turn it to look at my bed and I can enjoy Neflix or Hulu as I lay in bed, nice and cozy.I hope you all enjoyed my review, it's been a blast and I'll be willing to answer any questions you might have.
Works great with beefier support to the wall
January 31, 2016
Based upon some of the reviews, I mounted support brackets between two studs and using a heavy duty toggle bolts, mounted the wall mount. It went up in about 90 minutes and is solid! Used heavy duty screws to assure it will not fall from the wall.Kit includes level and cable as stated and is great! Articulates out and nice adjustment of the angle. TV looks great!
Great quality mount
March 2, 2015
8/28/2017 UPDATE: The review and the pictures below are accurate for the TV mount I purchased on 01/26/2015. From the comments I am getting for the past 6 months, it seems that the seller might have changed the product since, and my review and pictures might not match the current product. That is not under my control, seller should have created a new listing for the new product but chose instead to use the same listing because of the 19000+ reviews posted. So please don't blame it on me, I'm just a customer that wrote a review to the product I received back in 2015.Original review written on 03/02/2015:Bought it to mount 3 LED TVs (2x65", 1x50") in an office, chose this model mostly because of the lockable feature. I didn't use the included lag bolts because of the poor quality complaints in previous reviews. I didn't want to take the chance to strip the included bolts so I bought 5/16-9 2-1/2 lag bolts from Lowes (item 63396) and a box of 1/4" Toggler bolts (Lowes item 118084). On one of the 65" TVs and the 50" TV, the 2x4 studs were spaced perfectly and I was able to mount them using 4 lag bolts each. On the other 65" TV, the stud was about 2" off center so I put 2 lag bolts in the stud and 4 toggler bolts in the left and right most holes. I put my entire weight (200 lbs) on each mount half way extended and they held up just fine. Here are the pros and cons:Pros:1. Good quality mount2. Ability to adjust the horizontal leveling (plus/minus 6 deg)3. Lockable mount with 5 mm holes. Most pad locks you can find in stores have 6 mm shackle diameter, but I found the Master Lock 131Q has 5 mm locks and it fit just right.4. 10 ft HDMI cable included5. Long arms give you the option of moving the TV in almost any position.Cons:1. There is nothing to stop the TV from sliding from one way to the other on the two horizontal bars. That would screw up the horizontal alignment every time the TV is moved. Not sure how they didn't think about this. I used some black duct tape to prevent that. I could have drilled holes in the horizontal bars and put some screws in but duck tape was faster.2. I wish I could have been able to use zip ties to route the cable on the wall side from the lower side to the upper side or the mount, but there are no holes to get the zip ties in.Very happy with the purchase overall, would buy again in a heartbeat. You can see how it looks with a 65" TV attached in the pictures below.[...].
Great Mount for a 60" TV
May 1, 2012
I mounted a 60" Sharp LED TV to this mount with no problems. I recieved it sooner than expected & it was 98% assembled out of the box. I followed the directions, took the time to do it right & it took about 20 minutes.I always read the negative reviews first & I am baffled as to how people can have problems with this product. This mount is well made & I would recommend it to anyone that is concerned over the reviews stating it sags. The mount can be easily installed by one person as I did below: You may need help to hang your tv on it once it is installed. I am laying this out because of the problems I read about in the other reviews.1. Figure out where your studs are & drive a pin or finish nail on each side of it to be certain where the centers are. Make these small holes about 1/4" above where your mount holes will be drilled. These small holes will be covered by your mount.2. Drill your first pilot hole into the center of the stud & run the first lag bolt & washer through the mount & get it near snug.3. Extend the bracket so you can lean against it.4. While leaning against the mount in a eyed up level position, lay your level on top of the wall bracket & get it level.5. Pull your pencil from behind your ear & mark the second hole which is on the opposite side of your first hole.6. Let it back down & drill the second hole in the center of the stud.7. Move the mount back to the level position & install the lag bolt & washer.8. Tighten the two lag bolts so they are just about crushing the mount into the wall.8. You can now drill your bottom holes & install the lag bolts & washers. Make sure you are in the center of the studs.10. Tighten & retighten all four lag bolts. If these are not tight, you will have problems with the TV sagging when the mount is extended. It is critical that the four lag bolt are tight against the mount. If you skip using the washers, you reduce the strength & stiffness of your mount.Any fine tuning needed can be done on the 3 bolt swivel plate after the TV is on the mount. The mounting bracket has holes so you can install mud rings & plates for your wiring. I will be installing a recessed power outlet on one side & a brush cover faceplate on the other for the signal cables on the other. The mounting bracket has wire chases so everything is neat & held to avoid crushing cables. The only thing I will do to modify the mount is to drill a small hole in the upper portion of each pivot point to allow me to easily give each pivot a shot of WD-40 once in awhile. This should keep it operating smoothly & keep things from getting tweaked if it gets a little sticky from dust & oxidation.

Crackle and Hulu don't quite work and few streaming apps (End of Life Yahoo! Smart TV)
November 24, 2016
This TV and likely all Smart TVs using Yahoo Connected TV (Yahoo! Smart TV) are already obsolete with respect to major apps and any hope of additional apps.

As of Feb 2016 Yahoo! announced plans to divest its Smart TV business as it eliminates legacy businesses.

Crackle does not work at all (video does not restart after a commercial) and Crackle Support claims to know about the problem and can only suggest alternative devices.

Hulu also fails after commercials, and now when it does, jumps back the beginning of the show. Not after every commercial but about 50%. Can fast forward back to after the commercial.

Hulu offers to help debug the issue. If they would give me the code for a Yahoo Connected TV I would take a run at it. I actually looked at becoming a Yahoo Connected TV developer.

[...]

Also, the selection of Apps is tiny compared to say Roku and as far as I can tell nothing has ever been added.

So, at this point, if you are looking for a Smart TV with a comprehensive set of apps for streaming, look elsewhere, or plan on adding an additional streaming device. Other brands use Yahoo! Smart TV.

The set has another problem that Vizio did partially address. It will forget the channel skip settings on OTA broadcast channels. Sub channels set to be skipped will simply lose their skip setting. It was much worse, all would be lost in minutes, but after working with Vizio, and a software update, now it happens once a week on one channel. It might have something to do with signal drop out.

I have had the set for just about a year.

Otherwise a nice set, the app issues is a bit disappointing, means going back to a Roku box much sooner than I expected.
Great 4K TV for the Price
January 6, 2016
I've had this TV for a few months now. It replaced a 10+ year old Sharp Acquos that was so old, it actually had a break out box where all the wires attached. So anything would pretty much be an upgrade for me. The picture is great. I paired this with Vizio's sound stand for better sound and the hook up was super easy (and the TV remote immediately worked with the sound stand).

Access to the apps is better than much more expensive TV's like Samsung which I think try way too hard with their app interfaces. Having the apps come up on the bottom while you're still watching your show makes for a seamless easy experience.

I will say that the viewing angle is a bit constrained. I live in a fairly small apartment so it's not a problem for me, but I notice that from the side the picture does get washed out quickly.

I haven't had any problems with the soap opera effect, but there have been at least 2 software upgrades since I got it (and incidentally these happen in the background so you don't have to do anything to get them).

The remote is also great. It's a bit old school, but having keys that really press and click a bit is actually great. And the keyboard on the back has changed my relationship with searching Netflix or Hulu.

You really can't beat this TV for the price.
Beautiful TV.... When Calibrated
December 6, 2015
This TV is Beautiful... When Calibrated Properly, as others have said. I don't profess to be an expert at Calibration, but having read countless articles on calibrating this TV, I do believe I have found semi-optimal settings for most users. I have attached screenshots of my settings menu.
An excellent purchase in almost every respect- Until it dies
October 21, 2015
An excellent purchase in almost every respect. The only downside is that it has a horribly slow boot time- never thought I would say that for a TV. Takes at least 30 seconds after you hit power to turn on, but a winner in every respect after that.

EDIT: The TV just died. We will see how customer service deals with this, and the review will be updated accordingly. Currently no picture, but sound does come through. Judging by what I am reading of the warranty it looks like I will be responsible for all the shipping expenses to send it out which will be high.

If the customer support impresses me this will be 5 stars. If they don't fix this, I will leave it at 1 star or worse. Middle support=middle review.

Update: Other than the time it took, Vizio handled this about as well as possible. It took 10 days, and they sent over a replacement TV through a delivery service that also took away the broken TV in the same box.
Great picture for the price, wireless connection could use some work
September 4, 2015
Had this a couple of months now so wanted to give a quick review. Overall, love the picture and ease of use. A couple of areas that could use improvement would be having all cables on one side of the TV. I have it wall mounted and have 3 HDMI cables and a TOSLINK optical connected on the input/output side but the power is all the way across the back of the TV from those so hiding the cable is a pain. The power cord is also too short to run behind the TV and have it in the small run down with the other cable. Small gripe, but still could have been thought out a little better. The reason I gave this 4 stars and not 5 is really more about its wifi. I think it mis-reports the connection speed. I'm on a 200Mbps connection with TWC and have used different routers (two N and one AC) and the fastest reported speed I've ever seen from the TV on a speed test is 26Mbps and it wildly fluctuates from as low as 10Mbps up to the 26Mbps. The router is literally 2 feet from the TV in a side cabinet so it's not a distance thing and I'm currently using the new Google OnHub router and that is the one that reported the 26Mbps(just seen that speed once). But I can stand next to the TV with my Nexus 5 or Galaxy Tablet and run Ookla's speed test and get 186Mbps or more from the same router that the TV is reporting 10Mbps. Utterly confusing. Granted it's not all that big of an issue now, but as more 4K content comes out, I'll need a sustained 20Mbps or so to get true 4K. As it is now, seems to vary from 1080 to 4K.Attaching a pic of the TV so you can see how close the Onhub is.

Quality Soundbar for a great price!
November 5, 2017
Use the sound bar with my 55" Vizio 2016 M series 4K TV. I have been very impressed with the sound quality and base of this system! You can tune the system for bass and treble, as well two features called "true surorund" and "true volume". These both help to create the illusion of surround sound without additional speakers. While I did not have the 5.1 system for true surround sound, this does an adequate job for filling a room with great quality sound.System is very easy to setup mostly plug and go. Wireless subwoofer had no issues connecting, however I needed to set the bass a little high in order to get a good response.
Rockin' system for my 46" Sharp Aquos
March 25, 2017
Overall sound quality is really quite good, and plenty loud, even with my hearing impairment. I never could get the remote to work, not the one that comes with it, but any of the cable box or TV remotes won't control it. So, in addition to the 3 remotes I already had, I now have a fourth. Googled answers, but nothing worked. I have Sharp Aquos TV, which is amazing, and Mediacom cable, which sucks, and neither of those remotes would drive the unit.Bass unit really is amazing for its size. Anything louder would bug the neighbors and my wife.
have yet to turn it up completely.
November 29, 2016
this unit will be a vast improvement over most if not all TV's.. it really does sound pretty good.... especially when listening to music.. easy to set up... sometimes it is hard to switch sources.. minor irritation... overall very satisfied...

PROS:Bluetooth connectivitySound qualityPriceConnection options and included accessoriesCONS:Bass/sub leaves a little to be desiredA LCD would be nice vs. decoding LEDsSound quality not quite as good as the VHT215OVERALL:A good upgrade to the VHT215 I had (sub no longer connected to the bar). The sound quality is not as good as the VHT215 I had and the sub is significantly smaller and not as deep or detailed for highs and lows. It also does away with the HDMI port but has BT connectivity which is handy. Overall, for the lower price, I'd take it but there's some compromises.
Sounds good, very easy set up
April 25, 2016
Sounds good, very easy set up.Why not 5 stars? The only display is a few LED dots on the left of the sound bar, and moving between Bluetooth, optical, and the other input settings is just a pain to remember which set of dots mean what. Its not clear on which dots mean which setting and I have to go back to the manual to get it right.Outside of that one very annoying feature, I love this thing.
Takes some effort
March 5, 2016
Good sound. Plenty loud enough. Subwoofer works ok. Disappointed that the sound doesn't go up and down when I adjust the TV speaker volume. To use the sound bar I have to have the remote for that too now. Absurd are the LED lights that have to be interpreted in order to use and configure the device. You can't do it without the manual in your hand. Certain LEDs come on indication some function is accessed, but there's no LED screen, no letters or numbers to tell you what is going on, just a line of 10 little LED lights. Don't lose the instruction manual. But the appearance is good. I like it that Vizio suggests setting up the subwoofer several feet away from the TV, being WiFi connected and all.

Secure Wall Mount... Some Difficulties with a Larger TV
October 9, 2017
Seems to be a very strong wall mount, which is excellent and what you would buy this for. However, I found it extremely complicated to get the TV into a position I liked, as moving it around was not very cohesive. I finally have the TV (a 55" flat screen) where I want it and the anchors/wall mounts seem to be doing exactly what they need to. The thing could almost hold my full weight (170lbs) after being secured to a stud, which I guess, at the end of the day, is what you're buying this for. Also, getting the bracket to fit the back of my TV was a real son of a gun. I had to really jury-rig the additional pieces to get it. I feel PRETTY confident with what I was able to do, but rigging things together is always my last resort and leaves me feeling not 100% certain with the product's integrity. Will update if anything changes.
Really great deal for the price
September 26, 2017
I'm tempted to give this 5 stars, because it really is amazing for the price. I have a wall mount that cost me about 4X the cost that doesn't have the adjustability of this one. This also came with a lot of different hardware, a HDMI cable, and a level! I've already used the level to mount a new soundbar to the wall, and I used some of the different hardware (bolts) to mount another TV on a bracket that I hadn't kept the other sizes for.I'm only knocking off one star because there's some slop that allows the TV to rotate about 10 degrees clockwise or counter-clockwise, so I periodically have to level it out. But to get that kind of precision machining would probably at least double the price, and it's not like the thing is flimsy - the vertical bracket alone is really heavy duty.
then this is a good buy. The cons
June 22, 2017
I have two of these now, and they perform as expected, which is key here. If you are just looking at something affordable that will allow you to mount a monitor on the wall with only OCCASIONAL movement needed (such as connecting or disconnecting HDMI/Audio cables when necessary, then this is a good buy.The cons: the rotation on the monitor face (going from 0 on X axis to anything more) feels to be about 10,degrees of rotation, so i believe its really only there to provide adjustment for sloppy mounting to the wall, or something. The arms that extend from the mountpoint on the wall, to the monitor, are VERY tight.Take care when man-handling your monitor when you need to extend the monitor from the wall, you might break the monitor from the mount points in the back of it. it hasnt happened to me, but it might. Lastly, the bolts that come with this are very easily stripped when attempting to drill this into the wall BE CAREFUL. That is, unless you never want to remove it from the wall. in that case, be my guest.Moral of the story is, that i'm relatively satisfied, but i dont think ill ever have to rebuy this, since i have 2 now. Whenever i decide an upgrade is needed, it will be to accommodate movement on the Y axis, for increased viewing flexibility, some thing like this i found on a very quick on basic search: https://www.amazon.com/North-Bayou-Motion-Computer-Monitors/dp/B01AI2YGK4/ref=zg_bs_10967501_6?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=P3T4VCDYW7SYCTV0FPM1
Good product for a reasonable price.
June 21, 2017
Seems solid enough for my older model Vizio, which is pretty heavy. The installation is easy, attaching to the wall us simple enough, they even give you a little level (which is a pretty handy size for other stuff). It is required that the unit be mounted to a stud, which I would do anyway on something this heavy. Attaching the arms to the back of the set is an exercise in trial and error but I got it after a couple of tries. Hoisting the set onto the wall unit is fairly easy using the guide tab on the mounting bracket. I did it alone, but would be better as a two man job, There is lots of left over nuts and screws which would be used in other installations.
A few issues, but good in the end
April 22, 2017
We have a 40 inch Roku TV and this was bought to go with it. The instructions are easy to follow and it wasn't difficult to mount on the wall after finding the stud, except for the fact that the screws that came with it break easily and we had to find replacements. Once it was up on the wall, it was easy from there. There is a lip that the television sits on that is easy to click into place and then two screws that hod it in. It has a tilt function and the arm is nice and long so it can me moved around wherever you need it to be. It kinda reminds me of the ones you see at hospitals, where you can swing it out over a bed or other piece of furniture.Overall, this was an easy installation and a good choice.
Its OK, does what it should.
March 8, 2017
Arrived on time and undamaged.Does the job, nice motion range. If it had included a little stud finder instead of a level and little sturdier mounting screws it would've warranted a 5 star. But, I am completely satisfied with it. Took me less than 45 min to install (would've been faster with the level/stud finder switch) Just wish they had used hardened screws for the actual mounting screws. Once they were close to being seated in the wall they began to strip out. If I ever need to move the thing, I will have to replace those cheap self-tapping screws. Other than those couple small things it is a pretty solid mount.

It's hard to judge the screen quality because I only watch streaming services like Netflix
October 24, 2016
I've purchased this TV as "Condition: New - BRAND NEW" from a third party seller through Amazon for $580 but upon arrival I noticed it wasn't a new item at all. The box was already opened, the screen didn't have the typical protective film, the remote came without batteries and there were scratches and scuffs on the corner, top, feet etc (see photos). The reality is, there are probably no more NEW versions of this TV. This is a TV from 2015, anything you buy in 2016 is likely refurbished. I contacted the seller and asked for a refund and without any arguing they offered to refund $150, which is the difference between a new item and a refurbished item. The fact that I didn't had to argue shows they tried to sell a refurbished item as new. Besides the $150 refund (bringing the total to $430) I got 6 months extended warranty. That's what they wrote by mail, not sure how I actually 'receive' this extension.

But now about the TV itself. It's hard to judge the screen quality because I only watch streaming services like Netflix, Hulu and YouTube. The quality varies and highly depends on the quality of the stream, the throughput of your WiFi etc. Sometimes the image is too dark, sometimes too light... I almost have to adjust the image settings on an individual stream basis. Again, nothing to do with this actual screen, more with the streaming services that don't offer consistent quality.

Regarding sound, I am affected by a software bug which makes the sound go up and down. These sound fluctuation seems to be a known problem and the solution is to switch off surround sound (SRS) and set the equalizer to default (flat). Not the best solution... While setting up this TV I updated the firmware and apparently this bug was not resolved (and probably will never be resolved at this point). So, regarding sound, just like the image, I see myself adjusting it a lot on a per-stream basis. Sometimes it's way too quite, sometimes way too loud.

The interface (volume, settings, switch apps) looks a bit outdated (drop shadows, bevels) but is pretty simple to use. Unfortunately you can't add more apps then available so if you want to play Google Music for example, then you're out of luck.

The remote is well designed and pretty simple. Unfortunately it doesn't have back light, so when you operating it in the dark it's hard to use. The keyboard on the back does have back light, but it switches off super fast after every key stroke. The keyboard doesn't always work, because you really need to point directly at the TV which is not a natural position when you're typing. Additionally the keyboard is not well integrated with the apps and sometimes acts differently across apps. Lastly, the top and bottom of the remote is equal by design, so you end up using the remote upside down more than you expect.

Overall, it's an okay TV, for the price. I'll definitely hook it up to a Chromecast Ultra or Amazon TV stick, because the built-in apps are pretty limited.
Not a bad TV at all.
March 15, 2016
There is a loose screw rolling around in side the TV, can't seem to get the the TV to stream 4k to the Roku 4, not sure if it is the Roku's fault or the TV's yet. The picture takes a lot of adjusting to get right as well. All and all a good buy if you can find it on sale. I am really worried about the loose screw however...
While the the screen is viewable from mild side angles ...
February 15, 2016
While the the screen is viewable from mild side angles, the color saturation, brightness and contrast shift dramatically from the side. Also, be aware that this TV does not allow for direct internet browsing and limits you to the pre-installed apps for internet content
TV seems decent, quality control not so much
January 12, 2016
Let me preface this review with the fact I have returned two of these TVs so far, the first with a shattered screen and the second with about a 5"x2" patch of very noticeable backlight bleed. The former was untestable(for obvious reasons), the latter I only messed around with long enough to verify the bleed wasn't in my head(spoilers: it wasn't).

Now, that out of the way, from the little I used the TV it seemed pretty good. I really liked that the remote had a built in keyboard for use with the built-in apps like Netflix. The picture was clear, and it looks like it has a lot of great features if you really want to tweak color and stuff. I only checked out Netflix on it for a few minutes though so your mileage may vary.

From a feature and picture standpoint I'd say it's worth a purchase, but I'm getting the impression the quality control leaves a lot to be desired or I just have the absolute worst luck.
Motion blur not as bad as my first impression
December 6, 2015
Had to edit my review because I overreacted to some motion blur I noticed while gaming, while its not the best in handling some types of motion in games but I believe it is in the normal range for a LCD/LED display, What I was seeing was caused by the game I was playing and the clear motion feature was set on which made it look really strange, like triple/double images while panning or moving fast, with it off it looks better for certain games I have learned.

Now I'm going to keep the 3 stars cause I usually have curtains down while watching tv, but today had them open for first time with this tv and I noticed a couple scratches on the screen, at first thought was a smudge but couldn't get off with microfiber cloth, its really too bad cause I'm really liking this tv and don't want to have to exchange but will see if bothers me now that I know its there.

Overall its a great value for what you get imo, Most people probably won't notice the motion issue, wish the 50in was 120hz tho cause think that would make it better when it comes to certain games.

Only a couple issues, no dealbreakers
July 18, 2017
The sound out of this thing is pretty great, definitely heard better but for my small place, it works great. I have 2 issues with this.1. The soundbar will crackle from time to time, requiring me to turn it off and on until it stops. Not sure why this happens.2. Bluetooth streaming of music from my phone will sometimes start to lag and the sound will skip or slowdown. It's not my phone since this is the only hardware I have that does this and I stream to other speakers and headphones quite often.
sound and price are great, you may pay for it with a few minutes of your time.
December 19, 2016
I have had a mixed bag of experiences with this item so far. The first one I had was DOA. I contacted Vizio and went through all their diagnostic solutions with no success. About 2 hours from the point of starting hookup I finally decided it was a lost cause and contacted amazon for a replacement. The replacement came pretty quickly and amazon picked up the return item from the house. The second sound bar installation went off without a hitch. connections were simple and quick. within 20 minutes I was able to connect via blue tooth as well as listening to movies through the television. One nice benefit of the sound bar was that through the tv I am able to control the volume of the sound bar. I do not have a vizio tv. I imagine most of the tvs now will have this capability. The Soundbar turns on and off with the tv power so you don't have to worry about turning on multiple devices. I am using the optical input that comes with the sound bar. After about 2 weeks installed I did run into an issue. My wife stated that the sound bar randomly turned off one day and would not play sound through the tv. I unplugged it and plugged it back in ( both power and optical input ) with no success. I was still able to get it to connect to my phone. Solution was to do a factory reset. Instructions are simple and included in the manual. after the reset and it going through a brief restart process. It reconnected to the tv and I have not had a recurring problem in the week since. If it were purely based on the sound quality, ease of use and setup I would have gladly given it 5 stars. However it had to be knocked down a couple pegs for the temporary aggravation it caused in the interim.Sound quality is good. not high end good. but good. It has enough base with the wireless sub to make an action movie more immersive. The clarity is such that you can have it at a lower volume and still hear dialog quite clearly.when it comes down to it the price is a real driver for this sound bar. It will potentially have some issues and will not offer the same sound quality as a 5-600$ sound bar, but if you were wanting to spend that kind of money you wouldn't be reading this review to begin with. I would still recommend this bar to anyone with the warning that you may spend a few extra minutes fiddling with it to keep it doing its job.for reference the tv is a 55"
Good System
December 17, 2016
Not a bad system...did not have the voice clarity I was hoping for, but overall sound very smooth. An outboard equalization system to "dial-in" the frequency response would be needed to get the best sound from this unit. Bluetooth sub very convenient. LOTS of overall volume and headroom!!!
This unit sounds really good! My only problem is the input button
November 10, 2016
This unit sounds really good! My only problem is the input button. Sometimes if you accidently hit input and not over power, it throws it off signal and you have to go through a series of "pushes" to get it back.It also goes to sleep pretty quickly if you walk away and you have to power it up.Sounds great but some little flaws. I have to reset it sometimes to because it loses power.
Mediocre
May 29, 2016
None of the Vizio sound bars I have tried produced as good of sound as standard 3 speaker setup. I was a little disappointed with the sound quality. However for the size, convenience and price they are not bad.I realize that this is not for high-end home theater setups but that is my 2 cents.
Poor thing didn't last a month
February 25, 2016
Really enjoyed the soundbar and subwoofer for almost a month. As I was watching a movie the sound cut off. I did all the normal trouble shooting with no luck. The soundbar died. I have another Vizeo soundbar model without the subwoofer which has been great for over two years. I guess I got a lemon unless Vizeo has dimished in quality. I contacted Amazon and they shipped me a replacement. Hopefully it will perform for a long time. I will update if it fails in the coming years.

Great mount, completely eclipsed by P.O.S. screws that make this worthless without extra work on your part.
November 9, 2017
The mounting screws that come with this strip like they're made of soft plastic. There is a RIDICULOUS number of reviews here, even 4 and 5 stars, talking about how crappy the screws are, that my girlfriend did not notice when she bought this. Glad I checked and saw the countless other people having issues stripping the screws VideoSecu cheaped out on, cuz for a second I thought I lost my manly touch with power tools. -_-But seriously, if you plan on mounting a possibly very expensive TV with this, I HIGHLY recommend you buy better screws on your own, because the ones VideoSecu provides are not worthy of the rest of the mount, which is very well built and sturdy. I honestly couldn't care less how well it's built though, because it doesn't matter if the practically most important part of the device are junky. My fix:Instead of buying better screws that VideoSecu should have provided based on the numerous issues they are causing for tons of people, just switch over to a socket wrench or use a bit socket that wraps the whole screw head. Come to think of it, it's almost like these were meant to be socketed in, and like the phillips screw head was added to a hex head screw or something crazy like that. Anyways socket wrench em in. I recommend against changing your pilot hole size as some others have suggested. That is usually a bad idea (unless you're going very slightly smaller to make it a tighter grip). Good luck.
great two less screws to drill on my wall
October 11, 2017
I've had my fair share of TV wall mounts but this is my first where the support bracket is only on one side. My initial thought was, great two less screws to drill on my wall. Unfortunately, after installing this and mounting my 55" LG LED TV the top screw gave and away goes the TV on my head. Fortunately the bottom screw was still holding on fairly well. After that scare I used a thicker screw for the top part of the mount, used the supplied screws for second reinforcement on the top and at last the bottom.Now....the waiting game starts, it's been up for 30 minutes so I guess so far so good.I would give this 4 stars but the mount seems a bit flimsy. But, I guess for the price you cant be too picky, or nitpicky like they call me at work.
Great job, but the 2 mounting issues kept me from giving this 5 stars
June 5, 2017
Works great after a month, although I can't give it 5 stars because I had to mount it to a board due to the fact that the distance between studs didn't match up with the mount, also, I wanted to mount the tv low, but was unable to because the holes on the mount wouldn't line up. HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN? so I had to mount the tv higher than i wanted. Instructions were easy to follow and mounting was simple.
Complete
May 8, 2017
The product is what it says it is. A small TV or Monitor mount. nothing special. I do have some concerns with the fact it only mounts at one point to one stud, but they do make bigger mounts and that may be what you need if this doesn't work for you. I also liked it came with the HDMI cord and a level. The product worked for me on three different TV's in three rooms and one room even being above the fireplace in brick. There is more than enough screws and hardware included with the exception of washers. for some reason each package only contained enough washer for three of the four TV screws on the back. other than that, works good.
Does the job, sturdy, good price
March 9, 2017
I couldn't find the plate mounts I've used several of over the years, so I tried this one for a Hitachi 43" TV (43R5). The instructions are vague and you'd think it would be easy to figure out on your own. After a lot of trial and error I finally got it to fit, somewhat. The main problem was on the Hitachi, the bottom mounting holes are low on the TV causing the brackets to slightly extend down below the TV. If the TV was mounted low, it wouldn't be a problem, but mounted high on the wall like mine, the brackets show. It may not be a problem on other TV's, but I wouldn't recommend this for a Hitachi 43R5 if mounted high.
It works fine, but would not buy again.
March 3, 2017
It works. Holds my 50" Plasma (55 lbs) just fine. I attached it to a beam, not a stud.PROS:Comes with plenty of hardware and an HDMI cable.Price (I paid ~$25.)After finding the stud, mounting the TV is pretty simple.CONS:You're hosed if a stud isn't in the spot you need it to be.The mounting bracket isn't in the center of the TV, so you have to offset the mount by about 3 inches. Not indicated in the directions.I would not buy this model again because of the limited mounting options. I'd buy one with upper and lower mounting rails that span 2 studs for more easy centering.

Look at a different brand
October 30, 2016
Unfortunately the picture locks up occasionally. The sound continues. Then I have to restart the television which it doesn't seem to want to do, it acts as if it is a frozen computer for about ten to twenty seconds, then turns off. It seems like I have this issue once a day. This happens with two different service providers, Brighthouse and now DirecTV, so I know it is the actual television. I had called Amazon customer assistance and the tech expert talked me through resetting the television and I had hoped that it was cured, but unfortunately it still does this. Too late for the return so I have to live with this issue for the life of this television. I also don't think it is as "smart' as it should be, not all apps are available.
While it has a nice picture (at times)
September 9, 2016
If I could go back, I would not purchase this TV. While it has a nice picture (at times), the one I received suffers greatly from the "dirty screen effect" (Google it). I called Vizio to see if this was normal and they said to take a picture of it and then they could submit a warranty claim. However, this is next to impossible for this kind of issue since this problem only occurs when things are moving rapidly on the screen and taking a picture of this does not show anything. Other than this issue, it's a nice product, but this is a deal breaker with me. Never will buy a Vizio again.

Panel issues
October 30, 2015
On a first glance I was really happy with the TV, but soon started to notice issues. Whenever I was watching something with a large, solid color background (sports, for example) I noticed that the TV has faint dark vertical lines across the screen. Several of them, some darker than others. Soon it started to really annoy me, and for a brand new TV worth almost a thousand dollars you'd expect to have a perfect screen.

I contacted Vizio online support and they asked me to do some sort of reset, which of course didn't help. Then they asked me to send photos and call them. On the phone they said they call that a panel issue and they would do an on-site swap, however the replacement product would be a refurbished model, a returned model, basically god knows what.

It took pretty long before their third party contractor brought the replacement model. The guys looked sketchy, they were dragging the replacement box on the ground, swapped the TV's and dropped my old TV in the box before dragging it away. The replacement TV is even worse than my first one. It has the same panel issue but with this one it's worse. I also noticed there's a bright round spot, about the size of a fingertip in the middle of the screen. The guys who brought it said that's how Vizio TVs are and recommended me getting Samsung because their panels are better.

I contacted Vizio again, was asked to do a reset again, send photos again and call them again. On the phone they reviewed my photos, agreed that it's a faulty panel and told they'd send me a replacement unit, again. I'm waiting for that now.

I give it two stars because 90% of the time you can't notice the panel issue, but that 10% bugs you so much after buying a brand new TV. Also replacing my TV with something that's even worse isn't acceptable, feels like they're giving me B-grade leftovers. Customer support is alright despite being a little inconvenient with all the calling and picture sending (I showed them pictures in the online chat but was still required to separately send them using their own uploading system). Waiting for my 3rd TV now, hoping it won't have the same problem.

Love the sound - when it works

Love the sound - when it works. It goes "offline" a lot, meaning that, for no reason at all, the speaker will stop working and I have to default to the TV sound. I have to play with all the different options provided in the manual for getting it started again. Very frustrating.

February 15, 2017
after a short period started making buzzing sould like blown speaker... went through many resets and testing with Vizio, then was told by Vizio they would ship another, then they shipped return box and wont ship another until they check it out.. going on 4 months since purchase...not the best amazon experience and I order many items...this was one of the worst experiences...
Crackling Noise over Bluetooth
December 30, 2016
I had to return this after 1 days of use! The crackling over the bluetooth connection was unbearable. I tried everything to fix, before giving up on it. I bought this item after seeing all of the great reviews. I even went back to the reviews once I started experiencing the issue to see if anyone else was experiencing this, but I couldn't find anything. I might reconsider this item again. Maybe I simply got a bad setup. I really hope thats the case.I am still looking for other soundbars under the $200 range. If anyone has any suggestions let me know.
Improvement, yes, but not by much
October 20, 2016
I bought this to upgrade the TV's audio in our family room. We use a projector in the family room so the speaker is especially small on it. Well, I was disappointed that the improvement wasn't all that great. A little bit more depth of sound, for sure, but not really worth it in my opinion. I returned and am getting a home theater system installed tomorrow for not that much more. That said, it was very easy to set up and was super nice to have the bluetooth feature to play Pandora or other music from my phone.
Worked well for 2 weeks then died.
January 10, 2016
Sound quality is pretty good. A setup like this is going to be much better than a TV's built-in speakers. Setup was simple and everything worked fine for about two weeks, and then the sound bar was dead. It wouldn't power on anymore, despite trying different outlets, etc. Amazon is making an exchange simple, thankfully, but it's still a hassle I shouldn't have to deal with. I opted for a replacement instead of a refund, so hopefully the next one will keep working, but I'll avoid the Vizio brand in the future. 4 stars for when it worked, minus two for when it didn't.
Defective
January 6, 2016
This worked for three hours before the bar powered off and wouldn't power back on. It was disassembled and returned to Amazon within 48 hours of receiving it. If everything continued to work as it did out of the box, I would give it four stars because I don't care for the remote and functionality of switching between inputs. The sound was considerably better than the TV speakers but I wouldn't characterize it as outstanding.

Extremely wobbley and difficult to center
September 22, 2017
Initially this mounting bracket seemed good. It felt sturdy, came with plenty of hardware, and it was relatively easy to attach our TV (which weighs just under 39 lbs, so well within the weight limit for the bracket). The directions that came with it are somewhat overwhelming. There are 3 individual pages, front & back, of directions. If they were attached in booklet form they'd be much easier to keep track of. We carefully measured the space where we wanted to mount our TV, found the center of the wall, and mounted the bracket. When we attached the TV to the bracket and folded it back towards the wall, the TV is off center by about 3". Also, even with everything tightened down, the TV is disturbingly wobbley on the backet. It's not the tilt that's wobbley, so not the "up/down" direction, it wobbles to the left/right at the part that connects to the TV. Our TV was sagging to the left pretty badly. We were able to level it out and it does hold level pretty well as long as you don't touch it.The wobbling killed my confidence in the bracket. I wanted to take the TV down within minutes of mounting it. We'll be replacing this bracket very soon.
Mount sucks
May 7, 2017
This mount takes 3 people to install your tvI have purchased a lot of mounts and hung tvs by my self but this one sucksI purchased because it had a good rating and thought I would give it a tryWent ahead and hung tv but will probably change out for a better mountDo your self a favor and buy a better mount
Better for small/light TVs, and maybe a corner display.
February 13, 2017
This did not work for my LG 42" flat panel. The braces could only be attached at the top because the lower ones covered both the AC plug in and all the inputs. The flange that attaches the mount to the wall needs to be much longer, IMO. I just don't believe it will hold to the wall reliably. Finally, when folded flat against the wall, the TV is about 3" left-of-center and the mounting design didn't allow any adjustment in that direction. I returned it for a standard wall mount with two rails.
Can't Center TV!
November 30, 2016
While this is a solid mount, there is no way to adjust the center of the TV once it's mounted. I attached the mount so it was centered over my fireplace, where I intentionally placed a stud while framing the wall. After mounting the TV, I pushed it back against the wall and it was 3 inches off center due to the configuration of the mount arms. It looks pretty bad with the TV being that far off. This seems like a pretty basic adjustment that all mounts should have, and it makes no mention in the description that it is lacking this feature. I'm returning this and getting a different mount that has the required adjustability.
If the base was level, the mount and TV were not
July 29, 2016
I got this mount because of the Prime Day price and the reviews. I removed my existing mount, which was perfectly level, and replaced it with this. When I installed it the base was perfectly level, but the end where you hang the TV was not at all. I had to loosen the bolts and adjust the mount every way I could to get the left side all the way up in hopes that the TV would end up level. It took a while and some frustration, but I got it as level as it can be. Now I'm hesitant to move the TV at all for fear of it shifting somehow and the left side dropping again.
Maybe They've Switched Models
January 30, 2013
Yes the mount is cheap and yes it holds up my TV and yes it was easy to put up, but that's where the compliments stop. The mount I received can never be level. When it's pushed in it leans one way and when I pull it out it leans the other way. There's no way to adjust that side-to-side tilt of your TV as the joint only adjusts up and down. I had to laugh with the level included b/c all it does is highlight how uneven the mount is. \Looking at the picture others have posted I see a nice cover for where the bolts go, more than two places to put the bolts in and silver metal on arm. The one I received is like the new stock photo. Completely square plate, no silver metal showing and only two places to attach bolts. While the metal is very heavy/sturdy, it feels like a cheap production and lacks attention to detail. I've given up on keeping the TV level and am just living with it for now. The arm is very stiff and difficult to pull in and out even with a 32" TV on it.I should have spent $10-20 more to get a quality mount, but this just seems to be one of those cases where the manufacturing got switched to some cheaper factory and the quality has gone down as a result. Keep shopping people.

April 19, 2017
We bought this tv in August of 2015 and two years later the screen is not working. It has lightened in color and has lines running through it. The Amazon replacement period has passed and Vizio will do nothing for us. They are saying since we didn't buy a warranty they can't help us. A television should last longer than two years. We have many other brands that have so from now on we will avoid buying Vizio.
Did not work well
January 7, 2017
Received this product from Beat Deals INC and plugged it in. It was broken and could see that the inside layer of glass was shattered. TV was not worth buying refurbished, buy new. Bought the newer version of this TV for a different vendor, and looks great. Very clear and sharp. Still waiting for vendor to issue refund.
5 star product, 1 star quality
November 24, 2016
The TV features and functionality is outstanding. But, the software and/or electronics are so glitchy that it needs to be unplugged in order to get it back up and running.

Simply changing the channel can cause the HDMI to freak out and lock up the TV. Changing HDMI inputs will lock up the TV.

It will randomly disconnect from the network while watching content from the built in Apps (Netflix, VUDU, etc).

But wow.. the picture quality is superb... The sound is loud, and ultra clear. The mounting feet are a bit weird, but workable.

Both a 5 star and a 1 star review. The 1 star review wins since I can't actually the TV without having to get up and unplug it about 3 times a day to reset it.
Failed after less than three months
June 30, 2016
After less than three months of normal use, the TV developed a thin vertical black line about four inches from the right edge of the TV. After a while, a big round black blob started to develop on the bottom of the line, growing bigger every day. I am told that this is a defect that cannot be fixed, so I will try to get this TV replaced. Wish me luck.
vizio tech center
April 6, 2016
First let me say to be fair I have always bought vizios, so when it was time to upgrade this seemed like a good deal on amazon. When we received the tv and hooked it up it looked great. Within a day it started to make a loud snap when going to a commercial and the picture would go out and come right back on. Called vizio and they said they would replace it( sounded great). Receive a new tv and within one day tv did the same thing. Called vizio and said they would send out a tech, which they did and replaced a board in the tv. Same day as the tech left started doing the same thing. Called vizio again(starting to see a pattern?) This time very unfriendly and said it had to be something on our end and common sense said it is probably our cable box. Replaced cable box and same problem. I have read on line that other people are having same problem with this model. Will try one more time to work with vizio but I am losing confidience with the tech service which is now treating me like it is my fault that I bought a model they are having trouble with. Stay tuned and I will let you know how it turns out. uwe v.

Terrible Volume and Customer Service
November 4, 2017
The sound bar volume doesn't have a low enough volume to play background music at a gathering. Turn it up to a 2, and it's loud enough to wake up the kids. Additionally, our sound bar did not come with mounting brackets. Initially, it wasn't a big deal as we were setting it on the entertainment center. However, 1 year and 2 days later when we decided we wanted to mount it, I called Vizio. After 4 contacts with the company, they refused to provide the brackets and referred me to their vizparts website where the cost was $40 plus shipping for 2 small brackets and 6 screws. Vizio provided the worst customer service of any company I have dealt with.

July 29, 2017
Purchased this in Dec of 2016 - it is now July 2017 - not even a year into owning this and the system won't even turn on. I've tried everything to get it to power on, but it won't. When it did work, Bluetooth would cut out fairly often and the volume levels aren't very good - one notch or light on the volume should be 'low volume', but it's more like 50%. The sound quality is not that great either - but just like another person had said it's a $150 item - it's really not worth the time to call Vizio, start a warranty claim, pay ~$25 to send it back to them, get it fixed, and have it returned only to potentially have the same issues a few months from now. Do not recommend - save your money and invest in a better quality system.
Snap, crackle, and pop
June 30, 2017
Has with many other reviewers for this product I experience frequent crackling from the right speaker. This started happening fairly soon after receiving the unit. I should have returned it then, but I didn't. It was intermittent and even seemed to go away after a while. But now it is back and it seems to happen more frequently. I would skip this product.

January 24, 2017
Work for a month and then, intermittently, the sound bar would cut out and only the woofer had sound. After trouble-shooting (unplugging/replugging to reboot, experimenting with TV settings, trying different off/on sequences, making sure the inputs were right, etc.), it limped along for another few weeks before the sound bar stopped making any sound at all.
DISAPPOINTED sums it up
January 18, 2017
Very disappointed!! This was a Christmas gift. Don't you hate it when you give a gift and you have high hopes for it. Me too. Although this has a good sound ...when it works. Constantly drops connection and sometimes you just can't get it turned on.
Maybe I'll open a lemondade stand
June 12, 2016
Unfortunately after 2 months this thing is headed to the electronics recycling center. Connecting my TCL TV to it via the optical input worked pretty well for a while but we had quite a few problems with the sound going dead. Usually unplugging it, waiting a few minutes, then plugging it back in seemed to fix it. But it was an ongiong source of frustration. Now I can't get sound from any of the inputs, even something as simple as connecting my phone via the analog mini input. Bluetooth works, but that's it. This has been a frustrating product from start to finish. After reading other people's experiences with warranty service, I've decided to spare myself the frustration and expense? I ordered a $20 amp off of Amazon and hooked up some old stereo speakers and called it a day, which is what I should have done in the first place. I have a Vizio TV and it's been fine, but I plan on staying away from Vizio in the future. A big ole lemon.

Design flaw, shop elsewhere.
September 16, 2017
Horrible bolt system. Save your time and money shop somewhere else. The bolts become captive when you insert them. Had a heck of a time getting them back out to adjust the mount. And it tore up the wall and took an extra 2hours to mount this thing. They need to rethink the design of the mounting system. I've hung several televisions and never have I dealt with such nonsense. Not to mention that they never tell you anything about it. Never again!
... this mount a few days ago and it looked great taking it out of the box
September 7, 2017
Received this mount a few days ago and it looked great taking it out of the box. However, the mounting plate is only 16" wide, so the lag bolts in the widest position would only be about 15-15.5" apart. It's not the end of the world, but the fact that the plate isn't designed to fit a standard stud width just frustrates me. I'm sending it back and buying something else

Very difficult to put together for a large tv, took a while to figure out how to angle the piece that attaches to the tv. I would not recommend to anyone unless if a professional was going to do the work.

Not happy at all
December 1, 2016
Not happy at all. The cheap bolts that come with it two out of the 3 mounting bolts heads broke off. So had to go buy better screws. Then when I finally got the mount installed it was a pain to get the tv up there. To hard to do by your self like they said it is. Now two days later I noticed my tv was not str8. Yes the arm is already bent. This product is trash. Plus it was to hard to open and move. Do not buy this product
