A must for home roasters. Grinds consistently and perfect.
May 21, 2016
I had this on my watch list for almost a year. Finally pulled the trigger and wished I had earlier. I own an electric burr grinder, and while I love the quality of the grind - there is something about this grinder that surpasses it. Maybe it's the ceramic burr, but the grind is consistent and the flavor completely intact. I'm a home roaster and even though I don't like hand-grinding coffee for every 2 cups - the reward is worth the effort. Consistent, awesome coffee.
Great hand coffee grinder
March 23, 2016
Great hand coffee grinder. Easy to set and control coarse, medium or fine grind consistently. I have two of these ... one for home and one for work. Also really impressed with Blissili customer service. After using my "first purchased" grinder for four months, there was a failure of a small plastic part ... A quick email to their customer service and, I had a replacement part within 4 days. THANK YOU Blissili!
Great little grinder for travel
February 21, 2016
Solid construction. I like the small compact size. I will be using this in our travel trailer where storage space is at a premium. It's easy to operate and does a good job of providing a consistent grind. It does take a little longer to grind the beans than my larger grinder that I use at home but that is to expected with a smaller burr. It was easy to disassemble and clean then reassemble. No machine oil in the unit like some of the others I have gotten before. This is a very good grinder for people needing to save space and seems sturdy enough to stand up to daily use.
A great grinder for a Great Cost!
January 31, 2016
I love this grinder. I really didn't want to put out $250 for an electric conical ceramic burr grinder that I would use a few times a week. Didn't expect much from this grinder, due to the price. But WOW! I love it. It will grind from regular, to press, to espresso, perfectly. I don't mind having to turn the crank at all. It only takes a minute or so, to grind enough espresso for two shots. And just a couple of minutes for a couple of Cappuccino's. If you grind a lot of coffee, several times a day, then this may not be for you. But for just a few cups a day, you cannot beat this grinder for the price. Beats the more expensive electric flat blade grinders by a mile.
This product is the best thing ever happened to my coffee.
January 27, 2016
Not long ago, I started brewing my own coffee when I can, mostly on the weekend. The process took on some nice momentum and I ended up grinding coffee been on a per 2-4 cups basis. Fresh grinding made a big difference but guess what? There was one more step yet to be taken. Little I know was that using a Ceramic Coffee Grinder was the next logical step. So I did, graduating from electric grinders onto ceramic manual grinding. The taste and aroma of the coffee became far more sound.Congrats to Bilisslii for a Neat Product with Great Value

December 1, 2015
I have to admit, my original reason for purchasing this was to grind dried peppers. I've tried using battery-operated or corded grinders with coffee beans and they usually jam or break down in the first year. Therefore, I found it pertinent to buy a handheld version which would not encounter any of the problems with the mechanical versions.Anyway, this item is an absolute gem. As stated, the initial reason for purchasing was for grinding down peppers. The consistency of the grounds is fantastic for me to transfer to spice jars with easy dispensing. The crank is easy to turn and does not encounter any resistance. The catch basin slides on and removes with ease. The adjustments are no hassle and the device cleans readily. With the assembly, storage is not a problem since the crank removes and allows it to be tossed into a kitchen drawer for quick access.

I love everything about this grinder
May 19, 2017
I love everything about this grinder. The construction is solid, the motion is smooth. It feels well made. The aroma of the coffee is released while I am grinding it. I also like the compact design, which makes it great for camping. It pairs well with an aeropress, as it grinds the perfect amount of coffee for one. However, I'd like a larger version for when I am using a multi-cup french press or cone drip.
it moves up and down during grinding process and hexagonal shape of hole might be easily worn out
December 3, 2015
I have tried several times and it worked satisfactorily. One point which I am uncertain is that durability of grinder top, because handle is not fixed to top pillar, it moves up and down during grinding process and hexagonal shape of hole might be easily worn out. Due to such that result, metal powder might be produced and come into the burr.
Good so far
November 12, 2015
I've had it now for 2-3 weeks and used it a couple of times. It's worked perfectly each time and I haven't had a problem getting it back to my preferred grind position. Cleans relatively easily, I usually rinse out the plastic bottom that slides out. I rinse out the ceramic burr section every so time, but it doesn't gunk up too much.
Good grinder
November 1, 2015
There are a few grinders of this model on the market but I chose this one mainly for the clippy spoon. The grinder is excellent. The only issue that I noticed was that the black plastic circle at the tip where the handle meets the bolt for grinder seems to come off. The black plastic and the cap of the grinder meet and the cap seems to cut into the plastic and wear it down. I was surprised by how fine it was able to grind my beans. My boyfriend makes coffee using the pour over method and this grinder makes a nice grind for that.
Great manual grinder
September 21, 2015
Works as advertised, and the consistency for the ground coffee is actually very on the money. I like the included scoop. I wish the little clear part so you can see how much you ground was a little bigger, but that's a minor quip. I also wish there was a cap to put on the top of the handle where it connects to the grinder... sometimes in the morning when I am trying to grind coffee I manage to make it slip off and I spill things. But that might just be my own clumsiness. It is not cheaply made and it definitely works as advertised.
Grinds great, not fast
August 19, 2015
This grinder works as advertised and the scoop/bag clip is really handy. My complaints would be it takes several minutes to grind a single cup's worth of beans which can be kind of meditative but if you want to make coffee for more than one person it can be pretty tim consuming. It would be nice if the knob on the bottom of the grinder had some kind of indication of the grind fineness and some indicator of the setting so that if it was accidentally moved you could move it back easily. The description says it is compatible with the Aeropress which I do not quite understand--of course all grinds are, it is true that the diameter of the grinder is smaller than the Aeropress, but a lot smaller so it rattles around. I would never stick the metal grinder into the plastic Aeropress, that seems like a great way to scratch it and create crevices for icky things to get stuck in. Maybe if the bottom of the top half had some kind of rubber flange that would be better, and if the diameter was closer. All this said, I am really enjoying my coffee these days, a little ritual every morning is nice.

Works well until it breaks
March 29, 2017
This grinder lasted a little over 2 years for me (purchased in Dec 2015) before the plastic holding the shaft broke. So it worked well, until it didn't. Average use was for 5 cups of coffee per week. Being generous in giving it 3 stars given the inexpensive price.
Stopped Working After Less Than Half a Year
February 28, 2017
This grinder looks great and I bought it because it fits in my AeroPress. I send anywhere from 21-56 grams of beans through it per day, and it failed me after about five months of use. Something slipped inside the shaft, so when I spin the handle, the burr doesn't spin with it and I can't use it anymore. It was good while it lasted.

August 27, 2016
Kind of a pain to turn it over 400 times for a full load of the grind I like and I like to have it ready enough for a week. You will get some exercise with any of these grinders but this one is good looking and sensibly put together with superior grinding elements. It does what it is meant to do and fairly priced against the competition. Buy an electric grinder unless you want to use it for camping or travel. It is okay for some reasons.
Well made, but make sure you have time and patience to grind enough to use
February 13, 2016
The burr grinder is quality made and came in nice packaging, but I didn't realize I would have to nearly twist my arm off to get a whisper of coffee ground. I purchased this because I received a big bag of beans for Christmas, and decided to get an inexpensive burr grinder mill, rather than purchase an electric burr grinder for this one bag. I'm athletic and don't mind a workout, but the number of turns it takes to produce a useable amount is unbelievable.
It does grind the coffee nicely. It just isn't the most comfortable to use
October 17, 2015
It does grind the coffee nicely. It just isn't the most comfortable to use. It is hard to get a grip on it because of the stainless steel design. I feel it needs some kind of base it can balance on as you turn the handle. I often have to use a towel for traction so it doesn't move around. The good thing is that it is small so it is easy to store.
It's ok, wouldn't recommend for Turkish Coffee
August 20, 2015
I received one coffee grinder and it had rust on the screw in the middle. That did get replaced pretty quickly though. After using it for a few days, I'd say it's ok. It's not grinding quite as finely as I'd like for Turkish coffee. There's basically two types of mass produced manual coffee grinders that I looked at on Amazon and this style does not allow you to put the ground coffee back in the top and regrind it for a finer grind. It does have a longer handle than the other and is easier to grind.

Great price but breaks
April 18, 2017
2 stars for the great price but like the other reviewers said, it broke on me after only a few months. The plastic part of the burr grinder cracked in two randomly one day (no dropping or anything). Sucks as it worked well until then.
Broken after fewer than 100 cups
December 21, 2016
Purchased this in June, based largely on a combination of price and reviews. Other reviewers mention (correclty) that this grinder is re-branded again and again on Amazon. I chose this one because of the scoop it came with, which doubles as a bag clip.It worked will when it worked. But it broke on me this weekend. I really just use it for a few cups of coffee per week (on the weekends). That represents fewer than 100x grinds. The plastic ring outside of the ceramic burr cracked on both sides. You would have thought I was grinding pebbles in there and not fresh-roasted coffee beans! My next one will be another manual burr grinder, but I'll spend more this time and not on one of these Blisslii's (nor its brethren).
Broke after 6 mo of use
July 15, 2016
Really loved using this grinder to make my own coffee. But after 6 months of using this grinder 4-5x/week, the inside mechanism now slips instead of grinds, making it unusable. The manufacturer's website says they'll replace it if it breaks, but they haven't responded after several weeks. Worked well until it broke..
Worked well for a little over 6 months, but ...
April 5, 2016
Worked well for a little over 6 months, but then the plastic housing of the bottom burr broke and the device will no longer function. This is the only plastic piece in the entire device, but it is used in a weak point of the design. Looking for a higher quality grinder.
it make plastic particles
November 30, 2015
It create plastic particles. As shown in the photo, the the surface contact with the plastic ring are not smooth. It scratch the plastic ring and create particles which may fall into the coffee. If they can change the design of the rod and replace the plastic ring to a metal one, it would be a good product.
but the quality is disappointing. only 1 star
November 12, 2015
I normally do not give any feedback to any amazon seller. but I continue to get emails from you asking me to give you a review so here it is.This one is not the cheapest one among similar products, but the quality is pretty disappointing.only 1 star, because I get fine stainless steel dust whenever I use it, and I guess it's because of friction between the handle and the cap.I am concerned about being poisoned with this metallic dust because it falls inside where the coffee beans are grinned. is this something normal for all manual coffee grinder? If I keep seeing this fine stainless steel dust between the handle and the cap, then I will not use this product again and won't recommend this to anyone. Here is a photo for your reference.-----------------------Update 11/15/15I was contacted by a Blisslii representative after leaving my original review who offered to refund this. I added a star for their superb customer service.

Do Not Do Business

DO not buy anything from this company. Internal components are plastic and break after light use. Offers to replace are never fulfilled. Cheap chinese crap.

October 23, 2016
While it works, it grinds very well. The problem is the quality of the product. I ordered one of these and it lasted a few months before breaking after light use. I thought nothing of it, ordered another one, and it lasted only one month before breaking. The quality here is just not very good. The problem I think is with the plastic components inside the grinding mechanism. The ceramic grinding burrs are great, but the housing and turning mechanism is made of cheap plastic that keeps breaking. Do not buy.
Yikes...
July 6, 2016
If you grind beans everyday, avoid this shiny piece of junk. We finally quit buying them after we caught on to the major design defect by actually taking it apart for a post-mortem--they're using a cheap plastic grommet to secure the rotating shaft to drive the attached burr. This is the business end of the unit which takes the brunt of the cranking force and they use soft crap plastic instead of hard nylon or steel for that part. Of course there's nice stainless steel on the outside where you can see, but hidden inside is the fatal flaw. We averaged around 2 months each with 3 of them before breaking, and the warranty is ridiculously short, so we are s**t out of luck. We asked for a replacement part for an easy fix at home, but no response from the company.
Broke after 6 months
June 25, 2016
The included scoop was nice...The grinder seemed okay at first. Definitely a work out for the forearms if you do much grinding. Pros are that it is fairly inexpensive, portable and grinds well. Cons are somewhat flimsy construction, didn't last very long, can't reset to a specific grind size.I used this mainly to get an extra fine grind for my Turkish coffee. Used it sporadically for a few months, I would consider it fairly limited use. Now its a paperweight as the plastic grommet that locks the shaft and the burr together snapped. Now the handle turns but it doesn't grind. Plus the knob has become increasingly loose with each use. Actually was expecting that to finally just pop off first. Frankly expected to get a much longer lifespan out of this item. Its small size would make it useful for the occasional camping trip, but I wouldn't suggest it for home use.Additionally I contacted Odyssey Market about this item breaking and haven't heard a word from them. Spend your money elsewhere.
Piece of Junk
February 18, 2016
This item never worked. After trying to get it to work, I was called out of town for an extended period of time--which is why this review is so late. I tried it again last night and could not get it to grind anything. It is a piece of junk and I would never recommend anyone buying it.
Not awesome
October 18, 2015
Update 6/2017: Having now been through two of these, I will second all the reviews complaining that the critical piece attaching the grinding shaft to the grinder has a serious design flaw - plastic. The finer you grind the beans, the faster you will destroy this tool. Actually, I should say that the more resistance you feel in the handle, the faster you will destroy it. One of them lasted less than a month in every other day use (finer grind), the second made it through a year (medium grinding), although only frequent use of the second was through a few months. Replace that chunk of plastic with brass and it would be a great grinder.
