| The door that 'looks' like it accepts Mini DV actually is the battery doorSeptember 6, 2017 Received quickly, very clean, as new condition. have not used it because I bought it to transfer old family Min DV tapes over to MP4 for the kids but even though its name says 'mini dv' this does NOT mean it uses those tapes. It uses a CS card (I don't have those). But the error is mine so I won't force a return. The door that 'looks' like it accepts Mini DV actually is the battery door. The downside is the sound quality is poor, the quality of the videos are grainy and the battery life is not great. I did not want to spend much on a camera and I paid for what I received. It worked it's purpose. It's good if you want to record moments that you do not mind to watch in ok quality. For a graduation ceremony I wished I would have invested in a better quality camera. All that being said, if you still want, it can be a great gift for a child. Just know that what ever you are filming must not be closer than 1 meter or further than 15 otherwiser you would not be able to see clearly. It also has problems with memory card adapters. It can't handle recording a basketball game. The video is very pixelated and can't keep up with the movement. I've tried changing the settings but nothing seems to help. It also feels cheap. The camera is made of cheap plastic and the user interface isn't that great either. I would not recommend this camera. Spend a little more money and get something that can do the job correctly. |
