it took a while for me to post but I love this set. It is durable and looks as new as it did when i purchased this about 6 months ago. The price is also great. I do wish they had added more serving spoons.

I chose this because first, I like the simple design, and second I loved the price. What's not shown on the image is that there are serving-style pieces included, and eight steak knives. The utensils are nicely weighted, too. I would highly recommend without reservation.

I love my new flatware! It arrived a day early and when I finally got around to opening the box I was really impressed by the quality and shine. These are really nice looking and seem very sturdy. I liked them so much I also ordered the 20 piece set so that I have flatware for 12 people for holidays and parties.

I needed extra tableware for the holidays. This was a pretty close match to the set I have. For the price of 4 place settings (a good price I felt) I was able to expand what I have to what I need when all of my family is here. I am not a stickler for high-end perfect plates, silverware, etc. as I am a practical person who does not have room for "better" china and silver. I use my everyday stuff for all occasions. I especially like the knives because the handles are flat and fit in the drawer nicely. It is also a very good weight, not cheap-feeling or looking at all.

I was looking for an affordable set of cutlery to use everyday and these fit the bill and then some.Pros: Amazing quality, dishwasher safe, lifetime warranty, number in set, serving pieces included, simple yet beautiful.Cons: None that I can think of.

This set is awesome. It's perfect if you're looking for a quality, minimalist set of silverware that go with just about anything. They're extremely light, so they won't be doing everything in their power to fall off your plate, and don't feel flimsy or bendable.The photos make it look like they have a brushed nickel texture, but they have more of a mirror finish to them.These are great! You won't be disappointed, and they're very well priced.

The silverware looks great. We have run them through the dish washer multiple times and there are no signs of rust or other issues you get with cheaper silverware options.

I bought this set for the office....I needed a cheap set becuase everyone kept taking home the forks!! But these were surprisingly solid with a good weight. They did not feel cheap. I will buy these again when all the spoons walk off! :)

Claims of rusting flatware are par for the course in sets like these with over 50 reviews on Amazon; in the least, such reviews should be accompanied by a picture as proof... even then, you get people who run a utensil through a garbage disposal to prove they can wreck something. Believe me, if these rust in the future I will change this review. I leave some of these submerged in water overnight, and have run them through the dishwasher a number of times: No reason yet to deduct a star.

I really like this product. It doesn't seem particularly light, as some have mentioned. It's more of a medium, comfortable weight. Pretty design. More on the larger side of silverware, which I like. It's held up well in the dishwasher daily so far and it's been a month or two. I'm ordering another 2 sets soon to replace all my other mismatched silverware.

I liked the style on these utensils, and the size/shape are excellent. With only a little use, I remain satisfied with the quality and will soon buy one more set to make an 8 place setting set.

More than half of my flatware was lost in a move from SF to LA and it was one of many things I needed to replace or buy for my new home. I quickly bought some inexpensive flatware and it was awful- lightweight, flimsy. So I figured I would have to spend more or go to a thrift store. I decided to give this set a try because of the reviews. Most liked it, though one reviewer considered it rather lightweight which concerned me. I was pleasantly surprised when I got this set. It was much prettier than expected and in my opinion it is medium weight and does not feel flimsy and is comfortable to eat with. (I just ordered one more set.). It's dishwasher safe. It is far better quality than the first flatware I ordered. The cheap set also had really shallow small teaspoons that were practically flat, whereas in this set the teaspoons are big enough, and are actual teaspoons. The salad forks are also the right size, not too short. I really like the set and think it's a great deal.

I bought this nearly two months ago and was a little worried about the claims of rusting in a matter of a couple weeks. I've no signs of rust as of yet. They are just what I want for everyday use. Complete with serving untensils and serrated steak knives, I have no complaints. With a family of 6, I just may buy a second set.

Decent cheap silverware. Good enough for a secondary set of silverware. Don't expect it to last a long time.

quality is okay. feels very light in your hands. edges of spoons are smooth, no nicks or sharp spots missed during mfg. ideal for college apartment, or starter set.

Kinda happy with this set of flatware. The blades of the klives and spoons as well as the tines of the forks are solid and of proper thickness. However the handles of all are too thin and flat for me. The balance is off. They could have rolled some of that width to make these handles a bit heftier. Or just added some more metal. I realize that this is a personal prefrence but I am the one writing this review. Good but could've been great. 3 1/2 stars would be my real rating.

Sturdy flatware. Very nice. I found the exact set at Walmart for under $10. I'm disappointed I overpaid, but happy to have them.

Nice, functional set of flatware. The sizes are nice, nothing weird, oddly shaped or heavy. They seem like they will hold up well to average household use. For the price they're really perfect.

I got these for my sister in-law that is getting married and getting her own place. I didnt open the box but just from looking at them thru the plastic wrap they seemed to be pretty sturdy. I really liked the design on the handles which is one of the main reasons why i got these. I hope she will make good use of them.

These are fine as our extra set of flatware, but I was disappointed with how light they are. The backs are basically "hollow" so they feel very flimsy. That being said, I think they will hold up just fine, I just prefer a heavier flatware.Next time I will just buy at a local discount store where I can hold the flatware before purchasing.

This product was $6 more expensive in home store so I figured I would buy it through Amazon. The silverware looks nice but... it bends easily when getting ice cream and even the knives are not that heavy. Will be looking for more sturdy silverware in the future. I recommend keeping your old silverware for a bit until you figure out if you really like this set. Wish I would have done that!!

Feels really cheap. I was in a pinch and needed extra flatware and this is the closest pattern match I found. You get what you pay for I guess.

I bought these thinking they'd be thicker, heavier, and better quality than they are. Only because they have the Pfaltzgraff name on them, which I thought meant quality. I guess I should have known by the price, but hey, sometimes you find a gem of a bargain. This is not it. The photos make the pieces look thicker and heavier than they are, as well as give them a more satin look than they have. I have only had them a week, and haven't seen any rust yet, but if I do I'll be back to lower my rating to 1 star. For now, these are just another run of the mill cheap set of silverware.

For the price I was hoping for them to feel better quality

These were made for GIANTS!!!!!They are well made, (China), BUT the big forks are for huge NBA players I guess and the small forks are too big for my kids to use well!!!

Good, sturdy, everyday cutlery. However, the stainless steel alloy mixt5ure is of poor quality, and some of the pieces, especially the dinner knives, show rust spots even after one wash. Although this product has been appropriately priced, it should really6 be advertised as seconds. No way the stainless steel used in these utensils passed a Quality Control inspection. Nevertheless, this is still a bargain

The International dinnerware set, service for four, in the Dawson Frost model is wonderful - subtle, elegant, and well made - especially for its price. Then I realized I was missing one dinner spoon.I don't want to go through the hassle of boxing and returning the entire set, just to have International send a brand new, complete set. I just want one Dawson Frost dinner spoon that I paid for. I'll even pay for shipping of one spoon to avoid all that wasted time and resource on both our parts.- Ely

Average at best, thin and lightweight. Thought they would be a bit heavier. Pfaltzgraph has the same pattern, maybe they would have been better. But hey, they get the food from the dish to my mouth.

They're ok for the price. They seemed really nice at first but after a couple of washes there started to be some type of hard specks on the spoon that wont come off. I'm not to sure if that's from putting it in the dish washer.

Yes, it's silverware. And if you need some, this will do. However, it's extremely thin, so don't go scooping hard ice cream -- you're likely to bend your spoon. Also, it's a little too short, so while you're scooping the corner of the utensil stabs you in the beefy part of your palm. Ok, we eat a lot of ice cream. But you've been warned.

Decent set however you should probably hand wash them and dry them immediately after. Running them through the dishwasher has led to rust on the knives.

My silverware is rusting after less than a month of use. Not sure if it;s my fault or the build quality of the silverware. 3 stars becasue I like the weight of the silverware.

These are worthy of a fancy family reunion and that is all. Price should have made that obvious but many of these reviews are overly favorable. Granting 2 stars because they are functional and shipped well. Pfaltzgraff used to be the household name for quality cutlery. No more. Beware of return policies...i included this item among 4 items I wanted the next day. I am now paying an additional $9 to ship these back whereas most items you can return and send back at no charge. Buyer beware!

Looks good, as I love the style. However, once I opened the package, I could not believe how thin the utensils were. They were more like cheap diner flatware than I really expected from Pfaltzgraff. I was going to replace my aging set, but at this point I'll keep the old set, and only use the Pfaltzgraff for company, or when I need more than what I already have.

Very disappointed the set was suppose to have 8 large dinner forks and 8 salad forks.What came in the package was 15 salad forks and 1 dinner fork. This is a nice set, I am just upset I DID NOT GET WHAT I WAS SUPPOSE TO GET IN THE BOX .

We loved the design of this silverware,so we ordered two sets to have spares. When they arrived, we immediately noticed that the thickness of this silverware is lesser than the set we previously owned, but we loved the design so much that we decided to keep them anyway. A few weeks into using these, however, we are utterly disappointed. The handles are rather short and the tips are so square that when you hold the fork or the spoon, they poke and dig into the palm of your hand. I would give them 1 star, we feel so let down, but we love the design, so we can't say that we hate them. VERDICT: You may want to pass on these. Spend a little more and buy something of better quality, especially if you like eating at home or entertaining family and friends.

They work but there is a reason for the price. They metal is thin compared to higher prices sets.Update - Received July 29, knives started showing rust by August 8th.

Starting to rust and I've had them for a month.

We have had this silverware for a little over a year. It is terrible, since about the 3 month mark we have been seeing rust. Not good!

The review said there aren't watermarks. The ad said "Never needs polishing" and is "Dishwater Safe". My flatware came out with multiple spots on every one of them. Not happy.

I was very disappointed. Bent tines on forks within 2 weeks. Poor quality.

I don't know about the other patterns, but the checker set I got was unlike any flatware I've handled before. It's thin and lightweight and feels almost as if it should be disposable. It does not feel like real flatware. The utensils don't feel like they were stamped out of the metal they make cans out of, but that was the image that kept coming to mind. I couldn't stand using them, but they made me appreciate my old set. The old set wasn't expensive either, but the difference in quality is drastic. This is 18/0 stainless; I guess real flatware is 18/10.

At first I thought I had scored such a great deal. They look beautiful but they will start rusting within a month!! So unless you want to handwash them all the time I would NOT buy. Very unsatisfied.

After using these for about a month we have started noticing a metallic smell on our hands when we use them. That's unnerving, because if metals are leaching on to my skin, what's getting into my food?

Really thin and lightweight, feel like they might bend with normal use. Also it says not to let them soak in water, really? Are they of that poor quality?

Nice quality, but edges on bottom are obnoxiously sharp. You will regret these as the two corner edges at the bottom almost feel like they cut the palm of your hand. I bought one set and then had to reluctantly buy a second set to have enough around the house.
