Great TV and great price
December 11, 2016
Great TV and great price. No issues other than the initial packaging resulted in the delivery of a new TV with a broken screen. Amazon was great about the return and shipping a second unit promptly. The packaging is an issue. Both units were received with "modified" styrofoam that was designed for a smaller unit and was trimmed to fit but clearly didn't protect it effectively. The TV was simple to set up and met my expectations nicely.
GREAT TV!

Delivered super fast without any issues. Packed very well. Easy to set up. Works perfectly. The sound is fantastic and the HD feature is like watching a documentary! I'm extremely happy with my purchase and Samsung. Would definitely recommend this TV!
Looks amazing, great "natural" picture, Get it for sports!
January 21, 2016
This TV is amazing. I was very skeptical of an LED TV as I have friends that have them and I always thought they made the picture look weird. I always felt like my Plasma gave the best picture. It's very close but I can definitley say that this TV has a great picture. I mostly use it for streaming sports with a Chromecast and WatchESPN it performs flawlessly. No jerky motion, everything is very smooth. I did use the settings from this website: http://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/samsung/j6200/settings and recommend you do the same. Definitley gives the best version of the picture.Last note - Amazon is AWESOME. I was a little scared to order something so large but with free 2 day shipping with Prime I thought I would give it a try. TV arrived in excellent condition with big foam pads at every corner. I ordered the TV at the beginning of January and by the end of January the price dropped about $100. I did a chat with Amazon support and they refunded the price difference with no Q's asked. Truly a great experience!
This is an Excellent HDTV
December 16, 2015
This TV has an amazingly clear (and huge!) picture, with very good sound.Interestingly, for whatever reason, it was delivered with the settings adjusted to make for a less-than-great picture. I was disappointed when I first turned it on, but after fiddling with the myriad of picture settings, it is now the clearest, most brilliant TV I have ever owned. And anyone who is wondering if size matters, wow, does it. We went from a 48" Samsung HDTV to this 60" model, and there is no comparison.
Samsung 55" LED 120hz Smart TV
October 17, 2015
Okay, let me start this review by saying i'd consider myself somewhat of a tech guru and i'm also a big fan of Samsung products so my expectations of this TV were extremely high as I've always had good luck with every product I've purchased from them which includes cell phones, laptops, and other TV's. Also, I purchased this TV to replace my Top of the line 8500 Series 42" Plasma TV in the living room and that TV has an absolutely stunning picture; in 2012 I paid about $1700 for it (further hiring my expectations of this LED TV). With that being said I'm going to try and be as in-depth as I can in this review because I read a lot of negative reviews that I'd like to address with my experience. First off, the Shipping (I know this has nothing to do with the product itself but it seems to be something a lot of people worry about and dwell on) -Like most Amazoner's I was a bit nervous purchasing a $700 TV online, not because of Amazon but because of the possibility of it getting damaged in transit and then having to go through the whole return & replacement process. But the TV arrived in two days from time of purchase (Amazon Prime) via FedEx and the box was in perfect condition, the same as you would expect when purchasing from best buy. As I un-boxed the TV everything was good and the TV was protected with Styrofoam as well as a plastic sleeve covering the base and screen. There was absolutely no scratches or cracks on the screen or any other part of the TV and honestly it would have to be a pretty rough ride for that to happen as the TV is secured in the center of the box by the Styrofoam but these things happen. Before I mounted the TV above the fireplace in place of the old one I wanted to plug it in and make sure the picture and everything was functioning how it should, when I plugged it in it went through the installation process connecting to the internet and updating. Directly after that I went to the Netflix app and that's when I noticed that there was a dead pixel center left. This isn't a huge deal and is in no way a bad reflection on Amazon or Samsung, these things happen (a year ago I bought a laptop from best buy and got it home and it had several dead pixels). This is really the nature of the beast when dealing with electronics and is more of a quality control problem than anything. Performance & Picture -Now aside from the pixel issue (which is only noticeable on dark screens) this TV performs like a top of the line LED. The picture is stunningly clear and smooth, the colors are extremely vibrant, and the blacks are exceptionally deep especially for an LED. When it comes to the hertz of this TV I have had absolutely no problems with shadowing or blurring during fast action sequences so I can say it is actively 120hz. I use my TV's for a wide assortment of things, I watch a lot of Sports, play video games, and watch a lot of movies so picture and sound are extremely important aspects for me. This TV performs, I put it to the test with 1080p football games as well as first person shooters on the PS4 and I was extremely pleased. When watching sports I'd suggest turning on the "Sports Mode" too, this further optimizes the picture as well as the Audio. Like other reviews have said The factory settings for the picture will need some tuning (factory is a bit dark) depending on how you like it, I like the dynamic setting with the brightness up but that's all a matter of personal preference. Also, Samsung had a real problem with the 2013 &14 Smart Software in terms of freezing and lag, I can say without a doubt that these have been solved with the latest Smart Hub updates. Keep in mind that this TV doesn't have the Dual Core Processor like the models above it but it is quite snappy when searching the internet browser or opening up your Netflix apps. A lot of other TV Brands have done away with incorporating a web Browser in their iOS and I'm pleased that Samsung has kept it because I think its a great feature. The speakers on the TV are truly impressive, the volume goes 0-100 and in my fairly large living room I would never need it about 40. I was listening to Sirius radio and had it on 75 and it was clear and loud for a TV. Also the pre-programmed Audio settings are great, generally they really don't do much when you put it on "clear voice" or "Movie" but with this TV you can hear a noticeable difference. My favorite aspect of this TV is that it can Identify and open my 2TB Seagate desktop HDD. Now, this is great for people like me who have a ton of videos, movies, pictures and other media on an external HDD and want to be able to open and access it in one spot for a true multimedia center. My other TV did not have the capability to read this, but this smart TV not only reads it but it has all the codecs to be able to play a wide range of media; So with 2 USB ports you can plug in 2 thumb drives or HDD's and switch between them by pressing the Source button on the remote. Lastly, I had read a few reviews about how terrible the viewing angle on this TV was and the fact that it could only be viewed from certain angles, I really don't understand this. I have this TV mounted on a telescopic full motion articulating mount that can go in just about every possible position and I put the TV in the most skewed positions (positions no one would ever watch TV in) and it was just the same as perfectly level. I saw absolutely no difference in picture quality or anything else. I can imagine that in some of those positions there might be a problem with glare in high lighting rooms but that's not the TV's fault. If I had to have a complaint --If i had to have a complaint it would be that the TV is fairly thick for a 2015 TV. We have come to expect everything to be as thin as possible with today's technology but this really doesn't bother me, id rather have something with a little substance and built solid. However, for someone that low profile is their number one they may want to look elsewhere. And when I say thicker, I mean about 3 1/2 inches -- the TV is light in weight though. Also, the remote is very simple, I would have enjoyed a TV remote much like the one that comes with Vizio's 70" TV with the built in QWERTY keyboard but oh well. Finally, the HDMI situation, like others have stated this TV does only have 2 HDMI ports, which is a bit disappointing because if your like me you like to have your cable or satellite box, your PS4 or Xbox, and an HDMI cord running to your laptop plugged in all at once. It's inconvenient but it is easily fixed. All you have to do is buy a 3 or 4 port HDMI switch that automatically senses which port has a signal for 10$ here on Amazon. This TV only having two HDMI ports should in no way deter your from buying it, especially when there is such an inexpensive easy fix. Return & Replacement -Because of the Dead pixel I obviously had to contact Amazon for a replacement. Now instead of going through the online process I called Amazon's Award winning customer service to talk with a Rep Directly. Keep in mind this TV was delivered on a Friday at about 3PM, I called customer service at about 7pm and after talking with them briefly they issued me a replacement and had it ordered in about 20 Minutes. Within that time I was emailed a packing slip and a shipping label to attach to the box. Amazon then arranged for UPS to come to my house and pick up the TV for return. This worked out great because Monday morning UPS delivered the replacement and picked up the damaged one. I mean honestly, what else could you ask for from a company that deals with online products, they go above and beyond what anyone else in the industry is doing and they truly strive to keep there customers happy and coming back. I will choose to deal with a company like Amazon who treats you like a valued customer rather than give my business to a circus like Walmart who makes you jump through every hoop possible when returning or replacing an item every time.I highly recommend this TV for anyone who is looking for a Mid Level priced LED TV that performs like the top classed models. This is a great choice if your not quite ready to spend the money to make the jump to 4K and I can't imagine the 60 or 65" TV's in this class perform any different.
Bigger is Better!
July 18, 2015
Update: Bought a 65" Samsung UHD 7000 Series, which I put in the bedroom. Moved this TV out to the living room. It is still gorgeous, and people can't stop raving about the picture.Huge crystal clear picture. Bright and sharp. Bought this to replace a 51" Samsung I had in my bedroom. Fills my room with picture and sound. The smart function works perfectly. Now I have no need for any other machines in order to watch Netflix or Amazon. Nice feature. Very happy with this product. If you are going to spring for a TV this big, you're going to want to get a sound bar and sub-woofer as well. I purchased a Samsung sound bar to go along with this TV. The internal TV speakers work fine, but you won't get that big booming surround sound without an external speaker system. For price and quality, you can't beat Samsung. I won't buy any other. My old 51" Samsung is going on 7 years without a problem, and is now in my living room to replace an LG TV I had out there. I had a 51" LG, and the 4 HDMIs burned out within 3 yrs. I had a Vizio, which went to crap on day one, and if you ask me, Sony is just an expensive name. Nothing but Samsung from now on, as far as I'm concerned.

Love this TV....very highly rated in consumer reports and the remote works on several of my Sony devices as well which is great. Note that some comments you will see are for the 40 inch model and some or for the 48 inch model. I got the 48 inch for three hundred and seventy with free shipping and it is nice.

Sony quality easy network set up and the Netflix smart tv is very fast and as good as my Apple TV device. Would buy again. The extra $50 or so over a Samsung,LG is worth it
Awesome TV! Be careful opening and setting up bigger models. Don't be a fool and you will have a great TV that works.
December 9, 2015
This bad boy exceeded my initial expectations. I was about to buy a 48" Samsung when I saw this one for only like $50 more. The picture quality is pretty great in 1080p. Netflix in HD looks amazing if your Internet allows it.Right now it's dark and I noticed it was way too bright. I had to change the settings a bit and came away with a pretty nice picture while watching Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey (which is great in HD with a lot of dark scenes and outerspace stuff to adjust your settings with) on the Smart Netflix app. This tv actually buffers less than my fire stick did.The settings I have are: back light - 1, picture - 95, brightness - 40, color - 55, hue - 0, sharpness - 15, neutral, low, low, auto. Adv. Settings are medium, medium, 0, off, low, off. I have these set based on my current environment and then use the game mode settings during the daytime if I ever have to because I mostly use this TV during the evening/nightThe box it came in was pretty convenient. Open the top up, take the power cord, stand/screws, and remote out of the Styrofoam and close the top of the box back up and tuck the flappers back in. Flip it, cut the bottom open, and kinda dump the TV gently out of the bottom and if you have to carry it put a hand right on the bottom middle where it is thicker, that's where all the weight is. Try not to lift from the wide edges, it puts a lot of pressure on the panels and that's why most of the reviews with 1 star happen. People don't think to be gentle and smart while unboxing such a large and fragile piece of equipment.
Good TV for the Price
July 21, 2015
I bought this for my Dad's house. When it came in I went over and had to set it up for him. The setup was simple enough. entered in the wifi information and it immediately had a software update. Went ahead and got that installed and then checked out the smart functions. They worked well and not to slow as I thought they would. I had never used a smart TV before this one granted and usually use a PS4 for netflix and all that.I watched a few shows and movies on it before leaving and thought they looked as good as expected from this TV price point. I'm no screen expert but we all think it looks good. It has been a few weeks since purchase and my dad has had nothing but good things to tell me about it.If any problems arise I'll be sure to updateEdit: Just wanted to say been having TV for almost a year now with no issues. probably a bit of an old model now for people to be buying but if it works it works.
Everything and more!

I am so impressed with this television. This is our first smart TV purchase, and the first TV larger than 32" ever purchased. But I am blown away. The best part, hands down is wifi capability. Built in apps, youtube, amazon, netflix, vudu, and I am watching less and less cable. It really allows you to make the most out of your other wifi capable access points. For instance, we have a playstation-how we used to watch netflix and the like. Now we can connect that to a different television and have essentially 2 smart TVs. It is enormous. Huge, and looks really elegant being so thin. Refresh rate, number of ports, those sorts of things almost dissuaded me from this purchase. I am so glad it didn't. This meets our needs and more. Very thrilled. I should mention that I had to requset a replacement as the initial item had screen and pixel issues. The replacement was issued immediately, received in a few days. As always, Amazon customer service knocks it out of the park!

Great TV, but as expected with just about any TV today the built in speakers are lacking in quality. These are acceptable, I am actually not running a separate sound bar/ surround sound and it doesn't sound horrible.
Nice enhancement to my living room.
January 5, 2017
Setting up and connecting this was a breeze. This replaces my 32-in. "dumb" Samsung 720p TV, which has been relocated to my bedroom. My only con on this purchase goes to Amazon; otherwise I'd give it five stars: the price is kind of steep for a model that's two years old. It's a perfect fit for my entertainment center, and it works great with my existing Samsung soundbar and my Roku stick.
It's a perfectly good tv with nice picture quality
September 13, 2016
It's a perfectly good tv with nice picture quality, but my biggest qualm with it is that you have to wait something like a full minute after turning it on to go into the hub which gives you access to things like hbo go, netflix, etc. Not a huge deal, but for a smart tv that's the least smart feature about it.
From Plasma to LED
March 17, 2016
This is probably as good as it gets relative to LED/LCD sets, looks good and is easy enough to set up.The color of course does not match my previous plasma screen or even come close. Luckily I watch football almost exclusively and that color is much better than general programming or DVD movies. The users 'guide' that came with the set is next to worthless. I have not yet viewed the 'on screen' version so I don't know if that is any better. It also did not come with any connecting cables (like for running audio out). I first set this up on January 22nd 2016.
Samsung UN48J6200 Smart TV Internet Is Slow
February 6, 2016
The Samsung UN48J6200 Smart TV is a very nice quality TV. As others have stated, the internet and other functions are very slow and can take time to load especially if the TV is busy when just turned on. I have mostly used the Screen Sharing and Web Browser, I don't expect I will be using a mouse or keyboard with the TV. Navigation with the arrow keys is very slow. An old HP USB mouse I connected did show a connection, but didn't move the cursor. The User Manual and eManual could be better done. Not very in depth. The TV is very light weight and is smaller than the Sharp 46" it replaced. I do not use the other apps, so I don't know how well they function. I like the TV for the TV end of it.

February 2, 2016
I am a plasma guy, this replaced my old pioneer plasma hdtv. which was the best tv I have ever owned. This is in my bedroom, and happy with all the features and adjustments, nice picture that will do for where it is. Have a Panasonic 55, 3 D, PLASMA in my living room. Really too bad the Plasmas are no longer being made. Anyway this Samsung does a good job for basic viewing in the bedroom.

Good for the price.
December 7, 2016
A good TV at a great price. The picture has depth and color when transmitting in HD but I was disappointed with the speakers and stand. The stand is not very sturdy and a cheap looking plastic. As far as the speakers, they are mounted on the bottom of the TV so the sound projection is aimed down and not out resulting in a muffled broadcast. I tried all the different settings but the sound was still a disappointment. I was thinking being a Sony the sound would have been better but unfortunately no. I did connect a set of JBL auxiliary speakers and it helped tremendously. Overall, it's a good TV for the price maybe to use in a guestroom or as a secondary set.

Speakers blew within the first day or so and the sound was never over 25. Planning on getting a sound bar so its not the biggest deal.
love it
May 21, 2016
Really, really love my new tv. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 was the low sound. I've adjusted everything, nut a lot of stuff is still hard to hear unless bumped up to 30 on the sound scale. Every once on a while something will come on that I have to turn the volume down for, to about 15. That's where I would prefer it be all the time. I don't want to blow out my hearing. Bluetooth would have been nice too, to hook up external speakers easier.Otherwise, no complaints whatsoever.Update.... Found a fantastic soundb bar by Saxhorn to hook up super easy. . Used the head jack cables with the sound bar that makes movies fantastic to watch.
Gets the job done
April 9, 2016
My first order of this TV arrived with a light leak on the screen, so Amazon quickly replaced it and had UPS pick up the bad one. Picture is great - crystal clear, actually, and unless you are extremely picky about sound, this TV does the job. 4 stars because the Smart TV functions are somewhat limited to just a small handful of apps. I also wish the power light was a more modern color (like blue) rather than the traditional 90's green, but that's just me being super picky. All around a quality TV.
I was very happy with the picture quality
February 17, 2016
I was very happy with the picture quality, and the user interface was decent, but the optical port wouldn't work with either of my sound bars. I ended up sending it back and getting a slightly larger Vizio for the same price, but the return was pretty painless. I would still recommend this TV despite my experience.
Great pciture, though green could be a little less garrish. WiFi is great!
February 2, 2016
I really love this TV with one exception: I don't like how it displays the color green at all. That's quite a shame as it is quite prevalent as you watch TV. I'm sure there is a way to adjust it but I haven't gotten around to that yet. Other than that, the picture is quite clear and good.I've used the WiFi connection to stream Movies and TV shows from Amazon and setup was a piece of cake. I called Tech Support for help doing it and they were terrific. Was fabulous getting it on Prime and a free 2 day delivery!I'd recommend this TV!

My parents weren't the most impressed with the picture. So we were going to return it but didn't want to pay the $200 to ship it back so they said it would make due. Picture is really not that bad, especially now that they finally upgraded to HD Satellite TV. Movies look fine too. Much better picture with HD. We don't use the smart features as they don't use the internet. Good price for this TV.
Awesome Video - Horrible Audio - Buzz in audio occasionally with a reboot
December 2, 2016
I would give the video 5 stars! The best video I've ever seen on a TV monitor! Audio gets 1 star - the worst audio quality I've ever heard from a TV monitor. I suppose I should get a home theater setup or soundbar to improve the audio but I may get a 4K-capable monitor before that to watch all the new 4K TV channels launching in North America and that 4K monitor may have better audio quality than this Samsung. The most annoying thing other than awful audio is a buzz or "machine gun" sound in the audio usually occurring once a day for 10 seconds before the TV monitor reboots itself. Sometimes that buzz in the audio happens multiple times per day or even hour and then it starts to get annoying that it can't display a signal without that issue. I keep checking for software updates hoping it's something that was found and fixed but nothing new since the day I installed my monitor. I have a feeling it's a firmware bug dealing with the ATSC tuner section since I haven't observed that audio buzz/reboot event happening (yet) when using composite or HDMI inputs.Edit: I've now observed the occasional buzz in the audio happening with the HDMI input also and not just the off-air tuner input. Sometimes it's even a "muting" of the audio for 10 seconds before the TV monitor reboots itself. There have been some days recently when it hasn't happened at all. Other days it's about once a day. When it's a really bad day, it has been observed as often as about every 10 minutes which makes watching a live sporting event or DVR recording very annoying when the tv monitor is rebooting that often.

Great picture. Sound adjustments far to minute with 100 clicks, meaning it takes too long to turn down meaningfully. Antenna connection takes a long time to load channels and the integrated channel guide.
It's terrible, compared to my last LG
December 20, 2015
The color on this TV is off. I don't know how to explain it, other than to say that no matter what the setting, it seems foggy or the faces seem washed out. It strains my eyes. It's terrible, compared to my last LG. Otherwise, the packaging was great, and the delivery was prompt.
Picture is good But Beware of Samsung
December 17, 2015
The picture on the TV is great..... when it decides to work. I had the TV for 1 week. ONE WEEK and I started to have problems with it. Called Samsung once and it seemed to fix the first issue for a day or two. Called them back, seemed to fix the 2nd issue for about 3 days. 3rd issue was for a few hours and before I could call it led into the 4th issue. They finally agreed to Remote Assistance, make a long story short I was put on hold for Remote Assistance for at least 40 minutes. THEN DISCONNECTED! This happened 8 times and wasted about 7.5 hours of my time, I never was put in contact to resolve the issue. Their customer service is worse than worse and I still have a malfunctioning television. If I purchased this from a store it would def be returned.

looks great in my living room
November 30, 2016
Received my brand new TV yesterday and set up was a breeze. No problems screwing in the stand and setting it up by myself (I'm a 5'6", female). TV is paper thin with clean lines, looks great in my living room. Agree with other reviewers the smart interface is clumsy and frankly practically non-existent. I don't have cable so I only watch streaming shows. All of the available apps are very dated. Only built in apps that are relevant are Netflix and Amazon TV. All the other apps are pretty lame, and don't show up on a home screen, you have to click through a few screens to get there. The image is also pretty average, and sound is probably below average. I ended up purchasing a streaming stick to watch anything of this decade, and a sound bar. All in all, it's definitely a budget set. I do think that it's a bit deceiving to call it a "smart" TV, as it doesn't have browsing functions, and the only "apps" that are pre-installed are completely irrelevant. Really important is that this particular model also isn't supported by Sony Essentials, which is basically the online support to allow you to install anything NOT pre-installed into your TV... I'm surprised a TV from 2015 doesn't have all the "normal" features of the brands other TV's. I actually double checked the box to make sure I got the right one because of how limited the functions were..

Crap service from samsung to fix 10 mo old TV
August 4, 2017
10 months of owning this TV and 2 of the boards have gone out. So much time spent on the phone and getting the run around to take it to some wherehouse that doesn't have a phone to even call to verify to get serviced. So upset with all the run around I've gotten and no help in resolving getting it fixed or talking to someone at the location before I drive an hour to a wherehouse district to drop off a TV to a location I can't even get the right address for from customer service or a number to contact them at. Love the TV, hate that it's now half crapped out and not getting much resolution to fix it.
Smarthub takes over 2 minutes to load
February 9, 2017
After turning on it takes 2 minutes or longer for SmartHub to work. Considering we are using this mostly for apps like Hulu and Netflix, this is a huge inconvenience. Additionally, the interface is not nearly as good as other Samsung Tvs. It's only partial screen and doesn't properly remember apps that are loaded like HBO Go. Going to buy an Apple TV to make it functional...

Does not live up to the brand
December 3, 2016
Samsung is the only brand I purchase if I have a choice, but I regret getting this TV. The "Smart" features are extremely slow to turn on, sometimes taking up to 2 minutes for me to access them. The clarity is worse than my 8 year old Samsung TV, and while the refresh rate is good sometimes, it often freezes, goes blurry, gets pixelated and takes 15-20 second to clear up while watching sports. The refresh issue is not as bad on non sport shows but it still happens often and it never happened on my old TV. Even response to the remote control is extremely slow, so overall I am extremely disappointed and no longer have blind trust in the brand.

Great TV except the inability to watch Netflix without fighting with it every time. Would never have purchased had I known what I was in for. Too much trouble to return something this large with the packaging all over the place. Had to buy a Roku as a work-around. Should have purchased another Vizio - no more Samsung TVs for me. Search the web - you'll see what I ran in to. Their owner's manual even has a specific section on the problem. Which was no help. AND the problem is not unique to this model - Vizio likes to blame Netflix. Netflix blames Vizio, Since Netflix works on every other streaming device I own, Vizio seems to be the clear culprit. I tried all of the recommended solutions (DNS change, app reinstall, reboot, etc). You can beat it into submission if you work at it, but you have to do this every time you turn the TV on. This one issue would make me steer clear of Samsung in general due to their inability to get it right after getting it wrong for years.
Slow with Laptop.
January 9, 2016
Seems fine but my piece is not working correctly if I attach it with my laptop (HDMI cable) although with roku its working fine. If I attach laptop then its processing becomes slow like if I try to increase volume then it takes so much time to show volume control and increase volume very slowly which gives effect like its hanging.

Fickle TV, don't buy.
August 2, 2017
This TV will make you very happy for five months, then crap out on you. At least mine did. 1) the receiver 2) audio output 3) random turn offs. 1) The first issue is that the remote is weak or the TV is not responsive to it. I made sure there are no obstructions, and I receive the blink from the sensor on the TV but nothing happens. Whether it's switching inputs, or channels. 2) Second, I have a simple samsung sound bar that I connect to the tv via digital optical cord. One day it just stopped working. The other settings on my sound bar worked. So I thought maybe it was the cord itself. So I order a new one. Play with the TV settings. And violá. It works. *BUT* this morning the TV decided not to like my speakers again. I again made sure it wasn't my speakers. And it is not. I figured, fine--I'll just use the TV speakers and no sound was omitting. 3) Thirdly, the TV randomly shuts off. It has done this maybe five times in the 8 months I've had it. But that's five times to many.I'm surprised Sony would make such a shotty product. Wish I could return it but I'm moving abroad and it would complicate lots of things. Should have wrote this review earlier.
I really enjoyed this TV for a few months
May 30, 2017
I really enjoyed this TV for a few months. Then I was running into connection issues. I'm not a person that usually complains but I have tried everything to get a better connection and nothing seems to work. It's a shame I spent this amount of money that I can barely use for streaming.
Not an actual "smart" TV
March 21, 2017
I was so excited when I got home and seen this on my porch. I immediately set it up and put the stand on. I started playing with it and realized that it only has a few streaming channels and there is no option to add more. I use Hulu religiously. Unfortunately, there is no Hulu on this TV. I spent an extra 75 dollars to get this "smart" TV but if I would've known it had no option to add more channels, I would've just bought the Roku TV. Not only that, but the whole right side of it is brighter than the rest, especially in the top right corner. Like its been dropped or something. Not worth the money. It has a good picture and it's lightweight, but the only thing I use a TV for is streaming. So now I only have Netflix and amazon. To me, if you can't add more streaming channels, then it's not really a "smart" TV. I'm very disappointed. Will probably return
Item is horrible connecting with the amazon prime and Netflix

Item is horrible connecting with the amazon prime and Netflix. I thought it was my internet but had them come out twice and check the internet and I pay for the highest speed possible. The internet works fine on my phone and laptop.
Slow to Launch & Not So Smart
November 6, 2016
Disappointed with the lack of SMART functionality in this TV. I don't have cable so was primarily buying it for the apps, which take a very long time to load (and can be inconsistent to launch). No option to download more apps, or connect to the internet - think carefully about what you want from this TV before buying! Very happy with Amazon customer service who helped me return the item.
Horrible and definately not worth it
August 3, 2016
this tv sucks, it freezes all the time when messing around with netflix after its been on a while. Its media player is slow and sometimes unresponsive. It doesnt have enough input/output hookups. You cant even hook it up to a stereo. I have 11yr old samsung lcd hd and the pic is better, media player is spot on, it has hookups for anything i need. This is just a basic tv to say you have a big tv

Not worth the buy in long run...
October 6, 2017
This review is after using the TV for less than 18 months.Worked fine till last month , but after less than 1 1/2 year of usage, has broken down.Samsung Customer care absolutely difficult to reach for any repairs. I even raised a query via Amazon and have not received any response. I am not sure how a TV with all the "SMARTs" it has, that too from a well known brand,, can conk off in such a short time period..Looks like i would be buying a new TV and that definitely would not be Samsung.
Smarthub is a joke
September 15, 2017
Every time you try to access smarthub for netflix or any other app it gives you an error and says preparing the tv. Takes a good 15 minutes sometimes just to get in
Defective item

Product was defective, screen had hige blue color patch in the middle extending the whole height of the tv. Had to return it. Aweful experience.
Hazy screen, slow "smart" features
December 17, 2016
My last tv was a samsung, and it was great. Thought it was time to upgrade to a bigger one and the price was right on black Friday. This one seemed good, but it sucks. As others have stated, the integrated smart tv features are very slow/sluggish and worse, there is a hazy cloud on the screen (visible whenever a show fades to black or something is loading). I had amazon replace the first one that I ordered and the second one has the same problem (just got it today). I'll be returning it and getting something else. Very upset.
I'm not sure if this due to shipping handling or I just had the bad luck of receiving a defective tv

Television stopped working about 1 week after purchasing. I'm not sure if this due to shipping handling or I just had the bad luck of receiving a defective tv.
Poor quality and poor packaging results in a disappointment with Samsung!
April 25, 2016
The current one is the second of two purchased. The first was so poorly packaged that it arrived with the screen actually broken in half and glass falling out of it. Amazon did a remarkable job of replacing in having the replacement here in three days, exceptional! The second one worked well enough for about four weeks and then the "smart" portion of the set quit working. I know it's the set because I have a Amazon Fire connected and it works wirelessly wonderfully well. After an extended phone call to Samsung about the problem and when I was threatened with a $55.00 service charge I decided it wasn't worth the trouble and decided to forget it. I am deeply disappointed in Samsung! I have been using their products for years and always admired the quality and reliability of their products.

Poor
April 23, 2017
Not happy at all. We own several smart TV's and this is by far the least impressive. While, light and easy to install we have had many performance issues. Sound quality is poor and we are now considering adding external speakers to augment. The speed of our internet is quite good, as our other TV's and wifi enabled devices work well. But this TV is very slow to respond on power up and it takes several mins before Netflix and other providers even show on the menu. We had a wifi booster within a couple of feet of the TV but no improvement.I would not buy this item again and am sad to say this Sony product is bust compared to other items from Sony I had purchased. If other buyers have had similar issues and have advice please share. Thanks.

Sony reneges on Warranty
January 4, 2017
This TV is a real disappointment. I purchased it as a second TV and used it about 20 hours when a bright triangle appeared in the upper right corner. I contacted Sony and after sending pictures, they said the TV was physically damaged and voided the warranty. I explained we were 69 years old with no children and that no one could have damaged the TV and that there was no visible damage on the outside. This did not change anything. I asked if the TV could have been damaged in shipping and it took a while to manifest itself. The person said that was possible but said they would not honor the warranty.
Defective panel
January 2, 2017
Mine arrived with a defect in the panel. It looks like the backlight was shining though an area in the corner regardless of what's on the screen. The menus and the built-in test image all showed the same strange blob. Also, one of the USB ports was cracked. I don't know whether I got a used refurb or just unlucky (I bought it directly from amazon as new). Either way, amazon accepted the return. I'm not terribly impressed with Sony at this point.
Excruciating warranty process
January 19, 2016
The TV, for the (about) four hours it worked, looked very nice. Sony's warranty process is horrible. If you find yourself in my situation, where the TV failed nearly immediately out of the box, I recommend going through Amazon rather than Sony. Details below...1. The TV stopped working after one afternoon of using it... I contacted Sony immediately and started the warranty process. Due to the description I gave (I smelled a light smoke, like you smell when an electrical component fails), I was handed to several departments before they started the claim.2. Again... Due to my description, they stated that a supervisor would have to call me, and it would be within 3 business days.3. Three FULL business days later I was called by a contracted technician who said he'd come out the following day4. Tech shows up, looks at the TV, and states that there's really only one part that can fail, that's what I'll need... He'll write it up and be back to repair the TV.5. A week later I haven't heard anything, so I call Sony who, after a good bit of digging, find that the contractor hasn't yet sent in the report, and that they have 10 business days to do so. I escalate and am told a supervisor will call within 2 business days.6. A supervisor called the same day and basically told me there's not a thing they can do... They have to wait for the paperwork and then they'll figure out how to go about addressing my problem. It's been a day shy of two weeks since my brand new TV failed, and I still don't know when I'll be back up and running. Sony's communication and responsiveness have been abysmal.
I am not happy. The TV froze up after a week and ...
January 3, 2016
as of now, I am not happy. The TV froze up after a week and stopped working. Sony is sending me a new remote to start the "fixing" process. That takes 7 business days to send it to me??? Why not overnight it?? Then it also may be a TV issue after that. I am going to call and see if I can return the TV. Very disappointed with the way Sony is handling this.
