Perfect Wireless Keyboard
June 16, 2016
This Logitech wireless keyboard is great and just what I needed.
Its rage is pretty wide and great when used when I have my computer hooked up to the tv and I am away. I can also use it alongside the computers keyboard - which if perfect when playing a single screen multiplayer game on the PC (instead of 4 hands on 1 keyboard, we each get our own)
Since it is Logitech, it is usable with Logitech's Unifying Software (so it is perfect if you own other Logitech devices - like myself).
The key are popped out and spaced apart which feels great and it comes with a full num pad to the side.
There are also keyboard shortcuts you can use on the FN keys to open everything from your music programs to browsers to folders - all able to be set to your choice with the Logitech software.
Overall this is a great wireless keyboard for the price and I highly recommend it.
We Live In the Future People!
April 27, 2016
This is the kind of thing that would have appeared in the made-up future in the movie Back to the Future. We live in a time where hover boards exist, we don't need our hands to play video games, and Star Bucks robots take our drink orders from digital monitors...And now add to that: wireless keyboards.
This one in particular is awesome! I have two of these (one at home and one at the office), they both sit about 3-4 feet from the dongle. I've never had any connectivity issues with these. I've been using this keyboard for about a year and I don't think I've changed out the batteries yet (maybe once that I can't remember). Other perks include: the buttons feel pretty good on the finger tips. It has a unifying receiver (Download the Logitech unifying software to sync your wireless units to one dongle), and it's fairly quiet, the keys make a "muffled" clicking sound, it's not like the high pitched tapping of a traditional keyboard, if that makes any sense. Another nice perk are the built in short cut keys (I use FN + F12 for the calculator all the time!).
The best in the price range. Period.
October 20, 2015
I am currently typing on it. This is an upgrade coming from the Amazon Basics wired keyboard which is about 11 dollars. Now I got a much cleaner desktop without all those wires from both mouse and keyboard (I got both Logitech with a single receiver, an extra USB port in my life!). This one, the Logitech, has a similar key profile and feel: it's nice, though it feels a bit cheap, definitely cheaper feel than the one from my laptop, so don't expect anything better than your fancy MacBook Pro or any medium-to-high end PC laptop. This, however, has quieter keys than the Amazon one, though still louder than my laptop's.
It took just a few minutes to set this up: I downloaded the software and voilá. I already had a Logitech mouse my fiancé gave me as a gift (she knows I like useful gifts, I don't care for "nice" things) so I already had the unifying receiver. However, the seller still emailed me to inform me that despite what some reviewers may say, there is a unifying receiver IN THE BOX, not inside the keyboard (which has a compartment next to where the batteries go for you to store the receiver; and btw, Duracell batteries included!) And yes, once I opened the box there was the receiver, almost popping out of the box with a small little paper sign pointing at it saying "usb" with a drawing of the receiver going into an USB port in a computer. So, it's really really hard to miss it, though it seems people still miss it. Maybe Logitech needs to include some neon lights pointing at it, too?

Back to the keyboard: all the buttons work perfectly. All the function buttons do as well. The only thing that didn't make me happy was when I hit the two eight notes tied together function key (FN+F4) which is supposed to open your music player. Mine opened Windows Media Player (wtf, right?). But that was actually my fault, since apparently I had a lot more formats to open by default by WMP rather than my player of preference, Winamp. Setting Winamp as a default player for all my audio fixed that.

Only thing I don't like, which is true what others say about it: the placing of certain keys, such as the Insert, Delete, Home, End, Pg Up, Pg Dn, and similar, is a bit confusing since it doesn't comply with what other keyboards tend to present. However, this Logitech keyboard is about 3 inches shorter than my Amazon Basics, so it's saving a pretty big deal of space WITHOUT taking more keys away from me than Scroll Lock and Pause/Break (seriously, I don't even know so I don't even care what those keys do). So yeah, I lose two keys, but it saves some huge real state on your desk if what you want is a cleaner work space. This is what I wanted, this is what I got, so 5 stars. And since I work as an audio engineer at several places and they replace the batteries of wireless mics after every single use, I get to keep all the batteries that they dispose, so I can give them a second life in my keyboard and mouse, saving me a bunch of money, and get to be "greener" by not allowing batteries with sometimes very little use go to the garbage right away. Oh, and also, this keyboard is less than $20. C'mon, if you're looking into this kind of budget, this is your keyboard!!
A good simple wireless keyboard
January 18, 2015
A good simple wireless keyboard. It should be noted, this is *not* a full sized keyboard, but its not a mini either. The keys are "half keys" and feel pretty good to type on. Spacing feels a bit awkward at the beginning, but that's to be expected. Just threw the instructions away-plugged the keyboard in and it worked...which is how these things should work. No detectible lag. Has a handy on/off switch and some nice media keys. I would NOT buy this as a full time replacement keyboard (even one for a laptop) as it doesn't feel like something I'd particularly want to type a whole essay on or whatnot. I bought it to use from my bedside, so I could use my computer (hooked up to my tv) and for that purpose it works well.
Great keyboard for the price
September 14, 2011
I bought this keyboard because I needed something cheap and wireless to use with my upcoming computer build. I would have gone Bluetooth to avoid using a USB dongle, but that would have been about double the price and I'm short on cash now. Only owned and used the keyboard for about a week so far (mainly as a big media remote for my laptop), but thought I'd leave a review.

Pros:
-Absolutely no setup required - plugged in the receiver in my Windows 7 64-bit laptop, turned on the keyboard when Windows found the drivers, and was able to use the keyboard and FN keys without a problem instantly
-Lightweight and slim/sleek design - I can easily put this on my lap when sitting up, on my stomach/chest when laying down, or just about anywhere and not be bothered by weight or size
-On/off switch as opposed to some always-on or press-a-key-to-turn-on keyboards I've seen - great way to save battery life, and make sure you don't accidentally start typing or something when you don't want to use it
-Nice set of FN keys, and a dedicated set of media controls (back/play/pause/forward and mute/volume down/volume up)
-Numbpad, at least half the reason I bought the keyboard
-Keys are smooth and responsive, and very quiet
-Logitech unifying receiver means being able to use any other devices that use said receiver, with only one plugged in. Also means you end up with a spare every time you buy another such Logitech product
-Safe way to store the tiny receiver - snaps into place in a designated slot next to the batteries

Cons (three minor complaints - not big enough to knock a star off):
-Batteries are really tight. Getting the batteries out to replace them with my own rechargeable ones was kinda hard
-Battery cover can (literally) be a pain to get off. You're supposed to push two thin pieces of plastic in to be able to remove the cover, but the force required to do so and the shallow indentation to let you do so can make it a little difficult
-Keyboard layout takes a little getting used to, but it's by no means completely unorthodox or illogical - obviously done to save space

Overall, definitely no major complaints, and I'd recommend this to anybody looking for a cheap, yet fully functional wireless keyboard.

UPDATE (3/20/16):
I've had this keyboard two more times since the original purchase (giving them away to friends as I get a different color - now I'm on the white one), and I still love it - always a great price for what it offers, and never had issues! I had a mechanical keyboard for a year and ended up selling it, because this thing is such a pleasure to type on even without fancy switches, and I play games with it all the time (including online shooters).

Unbreakable.
January 26, 2016
I have had this keyboard for over a year and a half now and because of the way I like to use my computer sitting on a couch I am extremely prone to dropping it hard on the floor. I do it at least once a day. I estimate that I have literally dropped this keyboard hard over 500 times. I broke the battery cover sometime in the last few months around drop number 400, but a piece of duct tape serves just as well. I have spilled beer or soda on it several times, thankfully the keys can be popped out easily and the over and under fit of the keys allowed me to shake out most of the liquid without it getting into the circuitry. The thing just keeps on working. It outlasted my last Logitech wireless keyboard three times over. The range is great, battery life is excellent, and it just won't break.
Great Energy Efficient Keyboard
July 27, 2015
I have owned this keyboard for nearly two years, and it as functioned perfectly the entire time. It consumes very little power, is ergonomically sound, and is quite durable. The keyboard uses two AAA batteries as its power source. It should last nearly a year with two standard batteries. It does not need to be turned on and off. Instead, it simply consumes a small amount of power every time a key is pressed. This saves a great deal of energy, as the device does not need to use energy unless the user is actually typing. The construction is solid, and the keyboard is made out of solid materials. Generally, on cheaper keyboards, buttons pop out and the angle levers in the back break off after continued use. However, after nearly two years, only one button is missing, which is something I did on purpose. Other than that, it is in the same condition as it was when I first received it.On the top row, the device has a few useful extra keys which normal keyboards lack: volume buttons, play/pause button, calculator button, and the function keys (which are slowly fading away). The connection is always reliable. I have never experienced any problems with "losing letters" as I type. The USB receiver has been working smoothly and continuously over the last two years, and the keyboard receiver has been working fine as well.Overall, I would recommend this keyboard to anyone who needs a well-built, reliable keyboard.
Durable, easy to install, great keyboard
July 21, 2015
This keyboard works very well. My desk is cluttered enough without an additional cord adding to the melee. You don't have to manually install any drivers or anything, you just plug this into a USB port, it downloads something from Microsoft in the background and you're good to go within a minute or two. This is actually my second time ordering this keyboard. The first one took a serious beating over the years and held up well until I finally spilled a sticky latte on it, which was the straw that broke the F & 5 key's back.
Very Convenient
July 2, 2015
This keyboard meets all of my needs and is very convenient to use. It took no getting used to: as soon as I set my hands on the keyboard it was as if I'd been using it my whole life. I use it for my desktop, PS4, Xbox, and even my laptop as I prefer it over my laptop's stock keyboard. Installing it is a breeze, just plug in the included dongle into your computer's USB port and allow a few seconds for it to automatically install and then you're good to go. It has quite a range as well: I comfortably use it sitting all the way across the room when it's connected to my PS4 and I've even tested using it in a totally different room with the door closed; it works with no problems! It's a must-buy if you want something affordable, wireless, easy to use, and very convenient.
Microsoft Wireless Keyboard.
January 15, 2014
What a great keyboard, wireless from Microsoft at this price?I really like the piano finish(high gloss black) so blends well with all my other electronics.I was really surprised just straight plug and play.Period.I was dubious at first due to the LOW price but gotta tell you I recommended this to several friends who all have one now and agree its a good product. It doesn't have the soft touch keys but don't really care, nice touch with the calculator button for me. I upgraded my computers in the house as I do a lot of online work and as Microsoft is going to stop supporting windows XP in April I decided for me,it was time to upgrade,a shame as both my other computers work very well still after 11 years. Anyhooo this works seamlessly with my Dell.In closing, inexpensive purchase worth the price(just compare with retailers, you'll see what I mean).Typed the review with it............a few days later and have used this keyboard a lot,no lag keeps up just fine and haven't noticed any problems noted by a couple of other reviewers, functioning as it should.Update 11/29/2016As you can see I have owned this item nearly two years and it,along with the wireless mouse STILL perform without issue,I use rechargeable AA batteries on this and haven't had any problems. This is setup about 10ft away from my desktop and never fails to perform as expected.Well worth the money and I wanted to update this review so those looking at this item can be sure they are getting an item that will last along time. This has already outlasted my original desktop,(like most people,I keep a desktop in my home for any purpose I can't use a tablet for),I still consider this a well bought item and has easily been great value for money.
Owned 10 months and still going strong!
November 28, 2013
I have owned this almost a year now. I use it everyday. It has worked flawlessly thus far.I purchased this because I needed it to be portable.I move it around during the day to make room on the desk.It gets tossed and bumped regularly. I have even dropped it to the floor. It has taken the abuse and continues to work perfectly. In the 10 months I have only changed the batteries once.....pretty good since I use it everyday. The keys are laid out exactly like a factory computer key board. The number keys on the side are active on start up. I do not have to press the "Num" lock. It has tabs on the bottom to enable the operator to tilt the keyboard...or leave it flat.It is totally "plug and play". I did nothing on the computer to make it compatible. It just works.I would positively purchase again. I have the wireless mouse as well. Together they make a great addition to the "busy desk" computer user.

Sexy, easier on the eyes than something all dark. Lacking many features though
February 13, 2017
I like the colors a lot on my desk, I am comfortable with the size. It did act up once or twice, I unplugged it from the computer and left it on the shelf for a long time. It really should have come with a low battery indicator light, and it doesn't. Not sure if its me, my computer, or this keyboard, but many times the copy paste feature does not copy and print screen button has never worked. I don't want to blame the keyboard because I am not sure if that is the cause. The keyboard should have lighted letters for typing at night, and could also figure out how to be a little quieter... but the price was low and I am content overall.
Overall this is a really great wire keyboard
July 10, 2016
Overall this is a really great wire keyboard. All functions, etc worked right out of the box on Windows 8.1 and 10. I've been using it for a while now, throughout long days in the office and then right into casual use. Batteries are still going strong. Keys feel great and sturdy, keyboard build is solid (as you'd expect from Logitech). The white color looks really good with any of the typical computer color schemes of black, silver and grey. Only a few points make this 4 stars instead of 5. The first is the lack of NUM Lock LED. The second is the white-sticker overlay that covers the top of the keyboard is slightly bubbled just above the on/off switch. I've pushed it down numerous times, but it keeps popping up. No biggie, because overall, I am quite happy with this keyboard.
Good keyboard, with a learning curve
June 1, 2016
Pros:
1) Compact. This is about 3/4 the size of a regular desk keyboard.
2) Full number pad. Easily the selling point of the keyboard. Not many compact keyboards I saw had this feature.
3) Unifying. Personally, I like the unifying receivers and software. Keeps my USB ports neat and tidy. Connects fine.

Cons:
1) The keys are raised higher than what I am used to, and are closer than what I am used to, making for some awkward mistypes. That will be a learned thing for most people, UNLESS you also type at work on a different keyboard (like me).
2) The compact nature means the arrow keys are not where you think they should be. It will be a learning curve to figure them out and/or use the numpad exclusively.
Good bang for the buck
January 22, 2016
Good bang for the buck. Took sometime to figure out which USB port it would work in but eventually after 5mins or so it was able to detect and slowly accept the drivers. Most of my wireless devices are much quicker to detect and become active, not sure why this item takes a lot longer, especially the first time I plugged it in. Maybe it was a bit faulty of a connection or the drivers needed to be downloaded.... really hard to say at this point. On the bright side, the keys are great and the white on black visually is appealing. I would buy it again if it worked with my USB 2.0 4-port hub. Not sure why that it isn't compatible. Also it's very light weight which I prefer but could be a con for some people who like to the weight of something like a mechanical keyboard. However, you typically get what you pay for. Discounted I would certainly recommend it for anyone using a big screen or a laptop to get the best use out of the wireless aspect. No more pets chewing up your cords is always nice ;)
It looks great if not too close
January 31, 2015
Just received it. It looks great if not too close. The surface is made of plastic and looks a little cheap. Still I say it good buying so far.

Good keyboard. Caution if you need win8 keys.
April 22, 2015
Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 800 (2VJ-00001) Sold by: Ocean Reef Electronics $20.00 This keyboard is the older style. If you want or need the windows8 keys, this isnot the keyboard you are looking for. There is nothing wrong with the keyboard! I have several of these (new and older) and they work great. I have tested with two computers running at the same time and no interference, with and without wireless mouse. Tested keyboard at 25 feet from computer, OK. The wireless mouse that comes with the'desktop' pair (Wireless Desktop 800 -keyboard+mouse, also $20.00) would only goabout 10-12 feet from computer before it started 'skipping'. Works with win7 AND Debian GNU/Linux. I wonder why microsoftdid not mention that fact on the product description?!!!? :~} No driver install required on either system.I am a C++ hobby coder/hacker, so the keyboard gets a good workout (many months). The seller shipped fast and it arrived a day before the 'early delivery' date!I gave 4 stars for not mentioning the 'older version' in the product description. The keyboard itself gets 5 stars. I never thought I'd recommend anythingfrom microsoft (and I still do not recommend the Devils OS (goDebian7 GNU/Linux - it is fantastic with the KDE desktop!!!) ).BobR
Does the job
December 25, 2013
The range in this model is much greater than expected. I use this keyboard just for connecting my laptop to the big screen in the family room, and it does a good job. I would not like this as my everyday keyboard. To me the keys are a bit cramped. For light use it is great. Once again it claims a 15 feet range but it works at about 20 and 25 feet range at my house.
A Fine Keyboard
July 9, 2013
I became a little tired of pulling out my keyboard drawer and having the cord catch all the time. Wireless keyboards used to be more costly, so I didn't go that route. Fortunately some things have come down in price; I got this keyboard (I already have a wireless MS mouse). I have felt keys that seem a little more robust on other boards, but this isn't bad; overall construction a little lightweight, but importantly...it works! Some have mentioned that there are no LEDs for caps lock, number lock, etc., but I don't look at those much anyway. Being USB, I find I lose the ability to press the space bar (or any key for that matter) to power on my PC; a PS2 keyboard can do that, but I guess it's that the USB bus isn't active in a standby state..oh well. All in all an excellent choice. I can move the keyboard away from the screen if I like, or even use it on the laptop. I once used to see wireless keyboards selling for roughly $100....no thank you!
Keys a little cramped but still an excellent value.
May 5, 2013
Fairly good keyboard, I use it from about 5 feet from the receiver. They keys are closer together than a traditional keyboard but it only takes a little time to get used to. I see a lot of complaints about there being no caps-lock light, but you want the batteries to last as long as possible so this seems like an acceptable trade-off to me.I would give it 4 stars because it is a budget device with some minor flaws, but I'm actually rating 5 because I believe this is a product you should buy.
gets the job done
April 23, 2013
I bought this wireless keyboard after my cat destroyed the cord of my previous keyboard. The keys feel nice and responsive. Overall I enjoy the keyboard, especially considering it is inexpensive for a wireless. However, there are a few drawbacks you should consider:The top row of keys (escape, function keys, media controls) are small and hard to find/press. If you use applications that need fast frequent access to these keys (some games and text editors) it can be a bit annoying. Some keys are crowded, especially insert, delete, home, end, and page up and down. The keys themselves are the normal size, but I was used to having space between this block of keys and the surrounding keys.No LED indicators. I think this is the norm for wireless keyboards. Most wired keyboards have indicator lights for caps lock, num lock, and power. Instead, when caps/num lock is pressed an indication is displayed on-screen. There is a single indicator light for low battery. If these don't concern you I would certainly recommend this keyboard.
Great wireless keyboard
March 22, 2012
I bought this keyboard to go with my Microsoft Touch Mouse and it matches perfectly. I was worried that since it's wireless, there would be a lag, but there isn't. It's very quiet when you type, which is good.My only gripe is that it doesn't have the CAPS Lock, NUM Lock, and Scroll Lock indicators on the keyboard. You have to go to Microsoft's website and download special software, which will display on-screen indicators of these buttons.

This keyboard has a short lifespan if you write a lot
September 11, 2016
I really like this keyboard but here's the problem; I am a freelance writer and I'm about to buy my third keyboard in three years because after a year of heavy use, these keyboards die.

It's a slow death. random keys will just stop working. It's not the battery, they're they're not stuck. They just don't work anymore. Right now I can't make a capital h or ctrl v. In my last one I couldn't use the period. Do you know how hard it is to be a writer and not have a working period?

This keyboard is GREAT, until it starts dying. Then it's a worthless piece of junk.
I really wanted to like this keyboard!
June 13, 2016
I just upgraded my laptop to a desktop and this keyboard matches the tower and my mouse. It looks cute and the layout is exactly like my laptop which I'm already used to. I purchased this because I wanted a low profile keyboard that feels like my old laptop keyboard. These have flat keys and my fingers slip off easily. They're also harder to press. I do not like typing on these at all. I'm going to have to try the HP Elite keyboard based on other reviews that it feels more like a laptop keyboard and is much easier to type on. Although the HP one doesn't have any other color options other than black.
People, look inside the box. It's not that hard.
March 26, 2015
First off, I see way too many people complaining about Logitech not shipping the USB receiver with the keyboard. This is simply not true. Although it is tucked away in a tiny little compartment in the box rather the built-in compartment in the keyboard. Exactly why they did that is beyond me, but the fact remains that they DO send you the receiver. Part of being an adult is being able to read. My keyboard came with a big white sticker on the box that told me where to find the receiver. It's not hard, people, stop complaining about your own shortcomings.

That being said, I've been having issues while playing games with this keyboard. Some times the game just outright refuses to recognize my commands. I'll be standing completely still (in the game), unable to move suddenly, and then a few seconds later all of my ignored commands get sent at once, causing a bit of chaos. Next time I'll opt for another brand.
Feels good, looks good, the right price -- but breaks down
March 8, 2015
My favorite keyboard since the Apple Mac adjustable compact in the mid-90s. Just purchased a second one for my Linux Mint desktop. I prefer this keyboard's chicklet-style keys. Love the compact size: both a full range of keys (including 10 key for quicker spreadsheet entry) and a small footprint on my work area.
Battery life has been good too, since have not replaced it since I bought it 6-8 months ago -- and this relates to my one complaint: the on/off switch froze after about two weeks' use, so I cannot turn it off when not in use.
This is the only keyboard for which I have to use the feet that increase the angle.

UPDATE: The 1st keyboard will not turn on, probably because of the broken on/off switch. Then, the 2nd one stopped working after I added a new Logitech mouse with a unifying receiver. Just recently I gave the 2nd one another try and it works, sort of: the arrow and home-end keys are now possessed by some sort of demon. I still love the feel of the keyboard, but will probably not buy another one because two have broken in a short space of time.
Turns out not my cup of tea
October 31, 2014
This really is a 5 star product if you have an uncluttered desk or don't do a lot of PC switching. I have two desktop systems sharing a huge monitor. To facilitate this I have an Iomega KVM - DVI switch. Works great except the switch has dedicated usb mouse and keyboard jacks. It does not like the Logitech Wireless Receiver. I perceive the problem of being Logitech's, not Iomegas. There's a workaround but uses an available USB port (there are 2), but I have a photo printer and a flat bed scanner, so no going there. I just switched the receiver between PCs. Not good if I need to go back and forth quickly. I deal with photographs a lot and art association correspondence.

Then there is the wireless battery issue. They are fairly long life and not an expense issue, but it is a real pain when the mouse or keyboard just quit in the middle of an edit, email, or document prep. There is no on-screen or otherwise indication that the batteries are going to quit.

So,after a 3 month or longer trial, I am back to wired. More efficient - but wireless everything else is great.

It's a good keyboard for the price
September 8, 2015
It's a good keyboard for the price. There are a few problems with it though. One is the batteries become loose often and you have to perform some percussive maintenance to get it working again, or open the battery door and reseat the batteries. Second there is no light for caps lock, which is baffling to me, a serious design oversight.Occasionally it will decide to only type 40% of the keys you press, but I'm not 100% sure that's the keyboard and not my computer so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt.Basically you get a little bit more than you paid for.
Tapered keys are functionally annoying but look pretty.
August 28, 2014
The Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 800 works well as a wireless device and the keypress is comfortable for typing. Since I use computers in multiple locations, the comfort and standardization of a keyboard is important for me because I don't want to have to think when I switch to different computers; and instead I want to just sit down and type. With that in mind, I have found three aspects of this keyboard that seem quite annoying (and different from other keyboards). 1. The up arrow key is tapered to be near-zero height, plus the esc and f-keys are all flat (not raised) so all of these keys are difficult to feel, so I find myself looking at the keyboard to ensure I'm going to be pressing the correct key, whereas most other keyboards have normal raised keys that are easy to feel, so it's easier to know that you're pressing the correct key. 2. The keyboard spacing between the qwerty and arrow keys is gone so the arrow keys touch the ctrl key (and the insert/delete keys are butted up to the backspace key) and that missing gap is causing me trouble typing and using the arrow keys (and insert/delete keys) because they're not spaced in a standard layout and I can't consistently hit those keys. 3. The windows key is missing next to the right-alt key. Sad.
Smaller than usual
June 26, 2014
This keyboard is not bad but it seems to be smaller than others and so I have noticed my fingers are not used to the keys being closer together than my previous keyboard so its taken some getting used to. But it works great with my Windows 7 PC and is easy to clean.
Not a bad keyboard, but kind of defeat the purpose of having a full keyboard
May 24, 2014
You can say it's my own fault that I didn't inspect the photos of the keyboard careful enough before buying it. I'll take that. It's just, not having gaps between the arrows and the numbers and the main keys is a real draw back for me. It makes it harder for your hand to find the arrows without looking at it, which I kind of assumed for a full size keyboard. Honestly I don't understand why Microsoft did this.Other than this I don't have huge complain about the keyboard. It works fine, more or less plug and play, all the nice things you expect from a Microsoft keyboard.

I'm actually using the keyboard to type the review. first off, amazons shipping was pretty good. but i had to wait an abnormally long time for the pkg to actually ship out. other than that, no problems.the key board is pretty much what i was looking for. basic, wireless, simple.the wrist resting area is really easily smudged cause its VERY shiny. there are no lights on this key board. no back lighting is a good thing. but there aren't little lights to let me know if the number lock is on (so i can use the number key pad on the right hand side), or to let me know if my Caps Lock or Shift button is on so now I guess I know where the long battery life is coming from. for now its not bad. only time will tel if it'll hold up. I'll try to write another review in a few months time.
Just OK
May 31, 2013
Looks good on paper, but after using it a few days here are my gripes.1. The Left CTRL key is too sculpted. It makes it hard to find when your pinky reaches for it.2. The Escape and function keys are too small making them hard to find for touch typists.3. The cursor keys and Home/End/Insert/Delete keys are crowded next to the main set of keys. Since there is no gap, makes them hard to find by touch.OK, just my 2 cents but I will probably go shopping for a new keyboard to replace this.Update June 19, 2013Shift key stopped working for some keys. can no longer type a capital 'c'.Update June 20The problem was that the insert key was stuck down. Didn't see it. Maybe I should turn on the lights.Update June 26Not really liking it. Upgraded to a Logitech Wireless Combo Mk520 With Keyboard and Laser Mouse (920-002553) (From Amazon). Much nicer keyboard.

I dont care.for it
September 17, 2017
I'm not a fan of writing negative reviews, but I really do not like this keyboard. I found it temperamental when paired with my computer (now it won't pair at all and I just got.it). I was hoping for the low profile as advertised and more quiet but I find it annoyingly noisy. It just wasn't what I expected.
Great if it would stay connected
July 21, 2016
This started out as a great keyboard. I like the chiclet type keys and the positive feel when typing. Unfortunately, after less than a day's use, the keyboard started losing connectivity while in use. I would be typing then suddenly nothing. Switching the keyboard power off and on resolved the issue but it kept happening over and over and over. Finally, I returned it as unusable. The quality of Logitech products seems to be failing lately. Not Recommended.
Keys are wobbly, and decals on keys reflect stray light
March 22, 2016
I can't complain about the price but I wouldn't buy one again. The tactile feedback from the keys is non-existent, and at times, it is hard to find the right key because they're a bit wobbly. The worst problem is that the keys themselves are a bit reflective and each key's ID is a glued-on
Decal that is also reflective, so if you have the light on your desk at the wrong angle, which unfortunately is almost any angle, the keyboard reflects the light back to you. It is good for emergencies.
My desk WAS snazzy!!

*Update* 7/27/2015 - Though very cute and perfect for my small hands, the keyboard died after 5 months (June 2015). My how I miss it and struggle with finding another that is whisper quiet with soft touch AND a numeric keypad that is the same size. I should have known better when, upon seeing my keyboard, several of my envious coworkers placed an order for and received this keyboard only to state soon after plug-in that they experienced a delay in keystroke to screen action. I have looked online and in big box stores, but they don't have what I want. It's back to the drawing board for me...I just wish it had not been so soon. *sigh*

*Original Review* I sooooooo love this keyboard!! It's so cute and compact and my coworkers absolutely rave about it. I wanted a new usb keyboard for my new desk - I needed a new keyboard because...well... those things get NASTY over time. The multiple paring is wonderful and easy, the keyboard is soft touch and very responsive. If you have small-ish hands and love soft touch keys, this will be the one for you!
Great Keyboard
November 27, 2012
This isn't the best keyboard in the world, but for the price it works amazing. I am using this with my laptop that I have raised to be at eye level. I enjoy typing with it.

I type a lot, at least 20 pages (double spaced) a week. I love it.

UPDATE 1/2014

KEYBOARD Spontaneously stopped working.Changed batteries, changed usb port, even tried different computer, no go. Would not buy again. Dropped from 5 to 2 stars.

I am a heavy computer user and this keyboard did not fit my usage needs. It stopped working shortly after purchase.
hmm OK but weird
December 19, 2015
This is a good product for the price. You insert the usb device and it starts working easily. However, the keyboard layout is not the best.Keys and the borders between different key groups are not distinct enough.Keys are too short. The touch just does not feel right. There is no On/Off key so the battery drains.Function keys are push buttons instead. It's weird

Broke fast.I've had keyboards last me years and years. This one only lasted 7 months or so.3 months and the volume buttons stop working. And after 7 or so months it just died.Never dropped this one and I've had others I've dropped multiple times that still work.
Lack of lights kill this product
June 4, 2014
When I initially saw this keyboard for the price I picked it up immediately, wanting to take my set up wireless. The major problem with this keyboard is there are lights to tell you if capslock is on or numluck, so when you are typing a password you have to type in an empty field first to ensure they are engaged/disengaged. It's really annoying

This may be my error but I cannot see what I may have overlooked something. The keyboard didn't come with the wireless usb .I have the exact keyboard and was matching it to the other computer i have and it has no way to connect to my computer. If this keyboard is different I cannot see where including model number etc.I have been far to busy to have had the time to sit and write anything and send it back, that's why I bought it on line ,just no time to shop anywhere.I am not dissing the product though because there may be something I missed ??
Died a Premature Death
September 19, 2013
I'm a high-speed production typist. I know I'm hard on keyboards, giving them a real pounding. Even so, I should be able to use a keyboard for more than FOUR FREAKING DAYS before it begins to malfunction, with keys refusing to register. Even in typing these few lines, I've had to go back and insert perhaps 30 letters that didn't respond when I typed this the first time. Some keys I've had to press 4 or 5 times to get the letter to appear. No, I haven't spilled anything in the keys; yes, I've replaced the batteries. Yes, I'm going to have to buy another keyboard, and no, it won't be another of this model. You might do okay with this for games or occasional email. But if you intend to, you know, TYPE, try something else. And if you find something reliable, refer me to it, please.

The Perfect Solution To The Dirty-Looking Keyboard!
January 3, 2017
EDIT: As I type on an on screen keyboard, I am going to change my review. I just purchased May 2016 (Now March 2017) and what started as occasional disconnects solved by turning the keyboard off and on is now "flatout won't work" even after trying about 5 different solutions I'm not detailing when this is annoying enough to type . To make it better , the product number doesn't bring up the product on Logitech's support page. Very disappointing because I normally love Logitech products. Moving on to a real gaming keyboard.

ORIGINAL: The spaces between the keys that keep crumbs and dust and other dirt from getting into your keyboard is a cool feature. The feel of the keys is also a bit different from normal keyboards. It feels a bit softer, I would say, and took a bit of getting used to but I adjusted well enough.
Ok for a couple months then useless
November 2, 2016
I bought this June 9 2016 and after a couple months it started malfunctioning. Now when it's turned in it will randomly type characters without any keys being stuck. I would like to return it but now the refund is past due. I would avoid buying this product.
Not a happy customer
March 22, 2016
I have used Logitech products for a long time--they are good quality and tend to last well. When I wore out (literally--the printing on the buttons was mostly gone from use over 13 years) my last logitech keyboard, I ordered this one to replace it for my desktop computer. I plugged it in, waited for the computer to recognize it and tell me that it was okay to use...and all heck broke out. The screen started flashing, the keys on the keyboard were only partially functional (some would work, most would not), and I hastily turned the system off, removed the keyboard and its little flash drive and put the old one back on. Then I discovered that my husband's and my Windows passwords were erased, our Facebook passwords had disappeared and the Facebook settings had been completely messed up. I don't know if there was a virus on the little flash drive or what, but it certainly played havoc with our desktop computer (running Windows 8.1). The keyboard went back in its box, my husband went downtown and paid for a corded Radioshack keyboard (which is working beautifully as I type this), the passwords were restored eventually, and all is now well. I have returned the keyboard. Good Riddance. I am still curious, though, about what the heck it was actually happened.....
Worst experience ever
February 8, 2016
Out of the box, this keyboard had problems. First, it would not connect and work. After messing with it for 15 minutes and changing the batteries, I was finally able to get it to work but then some of the keys would not work. After warming up a little bit, it finally started working properly. But, about 30 minutes later, I started to see repeating letters. At one point, it started repeating the T and I could not get it to stop - I was logging into my work computer so was afraid it was going to lock me out with the hundreds of Ts in the password field. So, I made some adjustments in the control panel as I was thinking it was too sensitive and also being careful of the Function key which is in a location that is easily touched as you are typing. That seemed to work, for about 2 days. Of course, I had just thrown out the box! Now, this morning it is repeating letters again, especially the T key. I just ordered another keyboard (NOT a Logitech!) but cannot return this one since I threw out the box yesterday. Will never buy another Logitech anything!
Thought it was great, until I found out it's not.

On the 34-day mark the keyboard started spamming everything with '2's. Couple of days later the '2' key on the number pad stopped working entirely, however that's not the '2' that spams everything222222,2 2it22s22 2222222222222th2e 22222o2the2r '2'. So, even as I'm typing, I'm stopping every few seconds to stop the2222222222222222222222222from happening. So its be2e2n a couple of months, I don't typically type enough with the keyboard 2222222in question 22222222for it to be too much of an issue. Until today, maybe the 60 day mark, now the down arrow glitches and constantly fights my mouse scroll for control over what part of a page I can view. This is ridiculous. I'm turning off this keyboard now. Don't buy unless they give you a 35 day warranty.

June 25, 2016
I had this product for a little less than a year. It has worked fine until not ( a little less than a month short of a year) and the USB to connect the keyboard to my computer to make it wireless has become loose and will only work once in a while with lots of jiggling to make it work again. Is there anything the seller can do to help me with this issue?

DEAD on arrival and wouldn't pair with any computer in the house. This is the second one to die on me. I will not be buying a third. I have to cut my losses somewhere.

This keyboard shows that Microsoft is on the path of self-destruction....The only reason I am not returning it is because Amazon doesn't deserve the aggravation, and returning this would only impact Amazon notMicrosoft's bottom line. Kudos on Amazon, ^*&*^* on MS (Multiple Schrelosisshfls)Having been in IT for like a million years I thought that keyboards were something Microsoft could not touch and destroy as they do with just baoubt anything they touch and destroy but they did it....Stay way from this piece of %@%$@%%@$%@%%%% and other MS BS products....
Interferance
July 11, 2014
I have had nothing but interference issues with mine. Per Microsoft Support:Method 4: Check for interferenceItems such as wireless routers, radios, cell phones, desktop fans, fluorescent lights, and large metal objects like computer cases and metal furniture may interfere with the signal of the keyboard. Try to keep such items away from the keyboard, and check the behavior of the keyboard.Do not put the mouse or the receiver near any electrical devices, especially transmitters such as cordless or cellular telephones or other wireless mouse devices or receivers. A distance of at least 8 to 12 inches is recommended. Do not put the mouse or the receiver on metallic surfaces or objects, especially long metallic rails or cables. We recommend that you keep the mouse and the keyboard a minimum of 3 feet from metallic objects.
no good keyboard
January 30, 2014
was very excited when it arrived. For this was my first online purchase for something I really wanted and when I opened it the keyboard was perfect went to use it and the little thing that goes into computer was broke of course it happen right when thought I had everything ready to go I just recently got my first computer and getting everything going when u don't know much about computer stuff and everything is confusing as it is the I get a worthless keyboard thanks
Stops working after a few uses.

If you're looking at this keyboard because of the low price, think again. I loved this keyboard the first few weeks until it just died on me. First it was just one key that I had trouble with until it just stopped working all together and then another key went. Now the whole keyboard won't work at all. The green light says it's on but I can't type anything with it.Had it kept working the other complaint I would have is the lack of on/off button which originally I didn't think would be a problem but it kills the battery pretty quick and after going through so many batteries I've decided that the cheapness of this keyboard isn't worth the battery life.If anything skip this keyboard and spend an extra $10 for one with an on/off button. (Caps Lock light would be nice too)
