Fantastic product at a great price! Used for outdoor projector and worked great!
Easy to install

Thanks, home theater in the house now. Screen is high quality. Easy to install. Took less than 5 minutes. So very happy I can watch movies on big screen at home.

Great screen.

Great screen that becomes quite compact when you don't need it.
August 13, 2015
We ordered this screen for our wedding. We'd put together a slideshow and while a friend lent us a projector, his screen was way too large to transport to our venue, even when packed. The screen's cost is reasonable, especially when you consider that as a Prime User, I was able to hVe it over-nighted for something like $16 (it's heavier than the typical $3.99 items Prime does over night). Especially when you consider that Best Buy or PC Richards (NY) don't carry screens in house nor do they easily allows for same-day in store pickup (believe me, I tried). It packs up compact and was super easy to set up. We popped it open in wide screen and the ~200 guests all saw it easily without any problems. The wedding venue's people had no trouble folding it back up and storing it for us to pick up later.I couldn't be happier. When folded it's about as long as an adult male's leg and 1.5-2x as thick. Not bad for the max inches it can support.
I like the mechanism
April 16, 2015
I like the mechanism, the way it packs up, used it in a room with about 250 people in it, the powerpoint and video were both clearly visible and a reasonable size. I like the way it clicks when opening to show you where the 4:3 point is, yet opens fully for 16:9 hd videos. My only problem was the stand is very short, made for a living room rather than a public gathering where you need more height. However, the stand/screen are made with the same diameter of a PA speaker stand, and by using one of those, I was able to put the screen up to the height (about 8 foot at the top) I needed for the presentation. It worked very well for me.
Just what I was looking for
April 8, 2015
The form factor to this product is fantastic. There are a few issues that I can comment on below...1) My problem is that I travel and I want to take this with me. My solution was to use a hard shell golf bag with wheels. You can check the bag into most airlines without a problem. The Duet Dimensions are 46.2 x 12.2 x 9.3 inches. A typical card shell golf bag has a total height of 51 inches, total interior height 47.5 inches, total interior width 11 inches, and total interior depth at 12.5 inches. This easily fits the Duet requirements. I usually wrap the Duet in a towel to prevent a lot of movement in the case. You can buy a used hard shell case for $40 is you look around.2) When I first stretched out the Duet, I noticed a wrinkle down the center of the screen (see the photo). I was a little concerned about it. I decided to leave the screen open for a while to see what would happen. The wrinkle dissipated enough within a day to be OK.3) The issue with the height of the screen has been mentioned before. It would be handy if the height was several inches taller, but that would extend the overall folded dimensions of the product (and no longer fit in my golf bag). Fortunately, the top of the tripod has a plastic guide that easily comes off. For the times I need the screen to be a little taller, I take the guide off and insert another pole down the shaft of the tripod. It took some looking to find a suitable size. I will post a photo the next time I have this set up.Overall, it is a great product and meets my needs at a great price...
For the price, fantastic!

I really like this screen.• EASE OF USE: Super easy. Detache base, flip the legs open & slide screen body onto base. Then, unhook both sides of screen, and slide out as far as needed. Literally no more than 90 seconds.• QUALITY: Screen is super white, easy to clean, and unit is well put together. Sure, if you're rough with things you'll break an important piece if plastic. That's on the rough person. We all know YOU take care of your equipment and treat it to last for the long haul. That being said, it is not a fragile piece of equipment.• USES: I use it for business and pleasure. I initially purchased it, along with a video projection unit, to splash presentations up on something other than whatever wall is available. I have a non profit and give presentations to individuals, groups, business and corporations. I wanted something that looked great & refused professionalism without being bulky and unwieldy. All folded up, this fits perfectly into the back of my Jeep JK 2door, not a vehicle known for it's roominess!I also set it up in my living room, and run my BluRay/DVD player through the projection unit. People love it. I love it. Heck, I run my NetFlix through it. It's isually just set up in the corner waiting to be unfolded & used.• WOULD I BUY IT AGAIN: Absolutely, positively yes.Any questions, let 'em fly! :)Dug Shelby[...]
Stunningly Sweet!
October 21, 2012
Its nice to be over-impressed when you open up a new item you've bought off Amazon. The reviews are critical to the buyer and these were to me. I had to throw my two cents in: This product is killer.I teach a class once a month and needed a good portable screen to replace my ancient mid-60's projector screen. Some of my students complained my old projector and screen were too small and dim. I bought this one after checking the reviews. I am beyond pleased. It's well made and, as a result, a tad heavy, but not overly so. Pretty heavy duty stand holds it nicely stable at a great height (base of screen 33 inches off floor, top, 76 off floor). Folds up for travel in a flash. Built for many years of travel. I have accidentally walked into my office in the dark when the screen was set up and whacked it pretty hard. There is plenty of mass and "wiggle" to the design so no damage was done. I absolutely love this design! As for the comment on screen curl, I found a very simple solution: Curl the screen back in the middle, about 6 inches either side of center on the top and bottom edge. Don't "crease it." Just bend it back over nearly 180 degrees and that provides a little "strength girder" to the center span which solves the issue of screen distortion completely. I did mine once and it has lasted for a couple weeks but it's quick and easy to do and results in a perfectly flat screen.Combined with my new Viewsonic DLP 5133 projector, I am literally light years ahead of my old system. My students will be pleased and my presentation will be that much more professional. If you need a KILLER portable screen, or a home use screen where you either mount it on the wall or stand it on the tripod slightly away from the wall, grab one of these before EPSON raises the price to $299 where it belongs!Suggestion for EPSON: Charge another $5 and provide a nice fabric bag to keep dust and wooly-boogers out of this nice unit during transport. It is so nice! (I'll probably end up making my own...)UPDATE: After rolling out the new screen and projector combo for my last class, I had to pass on how positive the comments were from our students. They loved it!
The best big screen, very portable!
July 3, 2011
If you set-up and take-down the screen often, this is a great choice! About 25lbs. in weight, it's easy to setup and take down in about 10 seconds. This isn't the perfect screen, but to me it's the best on the market, so here's what you need to know. This is still the screen to buy at this time!- The screen curls a little at the top after a bit of use. If you set your projector to cover the entire screen, people might notice the slight curling at the top. I originally stuck a crocheted beanie cap on the center post behind the top center during setup to push the top of the screen forward, but an easier way, and I do this now, is to just curl the top edge of the screen forward, and hold it like that for a few seconds. Sort of reversing the curl. I do this maybe... once a week, if I can remember. It's not that big of a deal, really. After over a year, my two screens have the curling on the top, so just curl forward, hold for a bit, and good to go for the video presentation.- While it's smaller than most traditional screens lengthwise (about half the length) it is still a bit heavy, so if you're hauling this to and from your car, think about getting an over-the-shoulder messenger bag or something similar for your projector/laptop setup if you're hauling everything at once.- It's an 80-inch widescreen picture, and it's quite impressive when you're viewing something that fills the screen. If Epson came out with a larger screen Duet, I'd be on it in a heartbeat! This is a quality portable screen and the bigger the better.- You can't really mount this on the wall or use it on the provided leg stand at will. If you mount on the wall, you have to take off a plate on the back of the screen (4 screws) so you can put it on the wall. So it's either portable or it's wall-mounted, you can't conveniently have both. Not a big deal, if you want a permanent wallscreen, you should get something else. This is well-designed for portable use.- The screen, when folded up and carried around, can stand on its own. If you're hustling through elevators and corridors, you can stand this on the ground while waiting. The legstand has a clip which locks it onto the screen, but it can open while you're running around, so just pay attention to the legstand when going to and fro. A simple tug on the legs will click it back in place. As for the curling of the screen, if some sort of firm strip (much like a wooden yardstick that a seamstress uses to measure fabric) were running down the center of the screen to keep it straight, it wouldn't hamper the opening/closing of the screen, and could be the answer to the problem.Still, it's the best screen for ultra-portable users. I set this screen up 12 times a week, and it's holding up very well.UPDATE: I own two of these screens. One for home - I use is a few times a week, at least once in the backyard at night. I leave one at work, and use that one every weekday. After over a year, still really enjoy owning this screen and have no regrets.Recommended!

Very happy with the screen. Bought it to go with hubby's new projector. Only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because it doesn't come with mounting hardware. Not a huge deal as we just purchased drywall screws but for the price I think they should include this. Screen itself has no problems.

I have been using this for 8 years and I still love it!
August 22, 2017
I have owned this product for just under 8 years. I have used it in my basement, paired with a 720p projector. Overall, I really love this screen. Setup is easy, and it gives a good picture (this has more to do with the projector than the screen). The only problem that I have with the screen is that it sags a little bit in the middle along the top (see provided pictures). It isn't perfect, but once you have the projector on, you really don't even notice the sagging. I would definitely buy this item again, but with the way this one has held up for me, it will probably last a lifetime.
Good portable screen
April 23, 2016
I agree with the pros and cons that others have outlined. I really like the innovative design for its size and portability. It is extremely easy and fast to set up also. It is a bit heavy to carry around for a long time or a long distance, but overall not overwhelming. Probably the biggest down side is the flex at the top and bottom of the screen due to lack of reinforcement. Leads to distortion of the picture at the top and bottom edges. I would recommend this product but would definitely outline that downside to someone.
Packaged nicely when delivered
December 9, 2015
Packaged nicely when delivered. I like the Projector Screen it was bigger than what i thought it would be. Easy to set up, easy to adjust the width sliding in and out from behind the Projector, easy to take down just be careful if you are short its over 5 ft tall when put together. Quality made, very professional and well constructed. A little heavy if you are not able to carry anything over 20 pounds. I don't know if it should be used outside but it appears it could be used for outside as well, because of the quality look of it i wouldn't use it outdoors but that's not to say it couldn't be. It is well constructed and shows very good when the Projector displays on it.When closing it up it stands up nicely in a corner i would have something behind it in case it falls but it stands up nicely is not an ugly sight if you can't store it somewhere that is hidden. When transporting, carrying handle is nice and sturdy and the screen is compact and stands about 43 inches when folded up. The only reason i didn't give it a 5 is because of weight but i would highly recommend it!! Adding Side View of how the screen stands from a wall per customer inquiry of how far the screen stands from a wall.
Functional and Heavy
August 12, 2015
A very nice screen with some limitations. As mentioned in several other reviews, there is some sagging in the middle due to there being no support. However, if you are being judged because your screen has some small limp areas, the problem is with those doing the judging and not your presentation. Yes, I know if it was perfectly taut, things would look better, but the results are not horrible. Most people looking wouldn't notice or care.As for portable, that is up to the individual. It is well constructed, and therefore, heavy. They claim 29 lbs. but it sure feels more like 40 or 50 to me. I know I wouldn't want to lug it around all day long. It is also not meant to be taken on a plane. I suppose you could get a large duffle bag and check it, but that sure seems like a lot of trouble. Don't even think about using it as a carry-on, unless you like making a scene and can't enjoy a flight without feeling the hostile wrath of your fellow passengers. If the place you are going doesn't have a screen or whiteboard, use a light colored wall. Or, think twice about what kind of rinky-dink company doesn't have a place to properly project content on. Did you have to bring your own projector? That might be what some call a "business clue".It is simple to use and the clever design makes it easy to open and close. When closing, make sure to line up the frame with the channel for a secure fit. You also don't have to be six feet tall or have a ladder handy to set it up. It comes with a wall mount kit that is sturdy, but if you want a permanent solution, you'd have one hat you pull down or lowers automatically. Having the ability to do 4:3 or 16:9 is a very nice feature indeed.Overall we are very satisfied with it and considered it a good value.
More like a giant widescreen tv than a huge movie experience.
December 22, 2014
Heavy but well constructed. Not really for traveling but nice to be able to store it away. The gold lines in the middle of the screen are visible in white light but for most movies not visible. One think I didn't count on - while the screen is plenty wide it's not particularly long due to its design. This meant we had to shrink the picture to fit the screen. The end result is rather than a huge a movie screen it's more like a big widescreen tv. Works very well for s small living room. If you are looking for a huge movie experience you'll probably be disappointed. Works well for us though.
Nice Projection screen
December 18, 2014
I have been wanting to have a nice portable projection screenthat is easy to setup and take down and store. This productfits my requirements very well.It is compact (42.5"*10"*2") (when collapsed), portable for transport in a car and moving from roomto room at home. it is somewhat heavy (about 28 pounds) It is very easy to setup. One person can easily do it. You take out the tripod. Adjustthe legs to the desired height (29-34" from the floor) and insert the screenon the vertical pole of the tripod and expand it by pulling the sides. As it expandsit clicks at 65" or 80" diagonal. The vertical height of the screen is 40"As many have pointed out there is a vertical sag and top and bottom sag. This happens because the screen is folded and supported in the middle andnot at the top and bottom. I use this screen to project movies from my projector. The vertical indentation is not noticeable. The top and bottom sags don't affectthe screening because the movie doesn't cover the top and bottom edges. The tripod is sturdy enough. In my opinion it is a well designed productBecause of the inherent sag, I am not giving it a perfect 5

Great projector screen
March 4, 2016
Great projector screen. A real bargain for the money.I was unable to find any drop down screens in our area anywhere near the size I was looking for.The price was less than what Office Depot was looking for, for a much smaller screen.Would recommend this screen for anyone looking the enjoy a large picture for their projector.
Disappointed.
February 5, 2016
Screen tore on bottom after fourth pull down. Disappointed.
Amazing but torn.
December 10, 2015
This is a great screen. There is a chemical smell that I assume will go away. There is a 6 in rip in the screen in the bottom left corner along the pull down bar that affects the flatness of the screen. Other than that it feels solid and functional and projections look amazing! I intend to send this back and order another one hopefully fully intact! Even with paying return shipping I feel this is a solid value. The knocked stars are just for the hassle of boxing and mailing.
Damaged, both in transit and manufacturer.
November 5, 2015
On arrival the FedEx guy looked at me and said, "Looks like it got damaged along the way." An understatement as about 10" of one end had been violently torn and retaped. The screen did not appear to be damaged and functionally pulled, but the bottom left corner was tearing out of the pull-bar for about the first third of the length. Additionally the casing is bent and dented, apparently from the manufacturer. You get what you pay for. A bit of tape makes it work, I'm glad to have a screen at all. If I had more time and a worse attitude, I'd send it back.

Great flexability but some quality issue.
July 10, 2017
Functionally this screen is fantastic, but the quality is just not there. The worst part is that most of the screws will fall out at some point and, if you don't notice, then the metal supports will tear into the screen. Epson did replace the first one that did this but I noticed screws already gone from the replacement. The screws and some of the hardware seem non-standard and when I tried to use the screws from the handles as replacements, they turned out to be just slightly the wrong size. We've probably gotten our money's worth (as it is on the cheaper side) and if you don't need the portability on a regular basis, then you probably wont have a problem. Also, yes the top and bottom curl a little, but unless you are a super perfectionist it's not a big deal. At the end of the day I probably would have bought the same screen because it is really portable and flexible.
and they work pretty good, the compactness and Folding/retraction is awesome
March 2, 2017
I've order two of these for our church, and they work pretty good, the compactness and Folding/retraction is awesome, however the Screen has a few creases and came with a few small blemishes, also the plastic tip that is on top of the tripod tube falls offbut other than that, I was pretty satisfied.
Decent product with minor flaws, Poor experience with ConnectBuy
February 10, 2017
I used these screens at my former corporate employer so I bought one for my business when I went independent.THE BAD: The one I received had curves in the center of the screen from the rollers. It distracts you from the image projected, but not horribly so. I cannot recall if the previous ones I used also had the same issue.THE GOOD: However, with that aside, the design is great, compact and versatile compared to traditional models. The stand nests on the back for easy carrying with the attached handles. It even comes with a wall mount bracket.THE MAIN PROBLEM: Since I was dissatisfied by the damaged package and the creases down the center of the screen I returned it to CONNECTBUY. I waited a month and received no refund. I e-mailed them and they responded apologetically and said "we'll process it with the manufacturer in 2-3 days." I waited another month and then contacted Amazon Customer Service. They are now working on resolving it.
Good Screen for traveling presentations, wish it were a bit taller.
October 2, 2016
I purchased three of these to use for training's at various venues. They are great and fold to a fairly compact size that will fit in any car and they aren't too bad to lug around. They are well built. My only issue with them, likely caused by their compactness, is that they are not tall enough. I often have to set up on a pedestal or table to get high enough for larger crowds, but should be ok if you have a smaller audience. I still recommend them, they are probably the best solution out there that I have ever come across.

June 6, 2016
Screen setup is amazingly easy, the accordion metal braces in the back are a well designed method of expanding the screen, but I have a better quality picture on my wall than on this screen that came out of the box (New) with crease marks that show in the screen while projecting to it.I would recommend this product to anyone that needs a screen setup in an outdoor setting like I have been using it.- Well made- Easy setup & Tear down- Lightweight enough to carry, but heavy enough to be quality made and weighted down for wind issues.
Okay for the price, but 2 major drawbacks.
January 29, 2016
As a few other reviewers noted, there is a distinct bar going down the middle of the screen due to the manner in which it is stored. For the most part I can ignore it. It becomes evident during lighter scenes with more white background. Secondly, there are no top or bottom supporting structures to ensure that the screen stays flat at the top and bottom. Fully extended there is significant rolling of the top and bottom of the screen. If you are not using the entire screen then this will not present a problem. My projector can go up to 300 inches, so I use the entire screen. Most noticeable during scenes that pan up or down. Overall I like the design of the screen, but it has some major drawbacks that wish I would have investigated more thoroughly before purchasing.

With limited use the spring return stopped working with the screen in the extended position it fell of the internal rod. It worked great for about a month. Good, but not really portable!
October 8, 2016
Sturdy, Probably one of the best screens out there. But really not portable -- very heavy, very substantial. We needed something we could ship from place to place or put in an overhead rack, and this did not fit the bill. We sent it back and bought a smaller one.If you will be staying in one place with the screen - I think that this is probably a great choice for you.
Creases look like snow crevasses!!!!
February 15, 2016
I'm giving it an AVERAGE for NOW... Because these are HUGE creases...most reviews I read stated there were some "small creases that weren't a big deal", and I thought, "well sure, but those will wear away soon".... But THESE!!?? They'd BETTER go away!! It IS easy to mount on the wall and it DOESN'T weigh 40 or 60 pounds when you go to mount it...a female with any "I can do this" can put it up in the wall herself --- I did and it took less than 30 mind and that was from getting it out of the box to the expanded to the 80" --- but these creases are NOT small, and they ARE a big deal if they stay this way... So let's hope they don't!! I TRIED posting a picture 5 times to show the finished product but it kept saying it couldn't upload it...but trust me...the creases ARE HUGE on the screen I got...VERY crevassed into the screen....UPDATE MARCH 4TH lines did NOT go away and I took the screen off of my wall and use the WALL as my screen and it's PERFECT.. the screen will now only be used as a portable for outdoor movies and hopefully we can see the movies or...will not suggest anyone buy this and if I didn't have to go through the hassle.of a return I would do it and get my money back...but,it'll probably be fun for outdoor movies and hopefully watching some outdoor Sunday and Monday night NFL games on nights where I feel like it... :-)
Broke after only a few uses
August 12, 2015
Great screen and concept to have 2 sizes while it lasted. After only a few uses it failed to open properly and sags greatly in the middle (the sagging design flaw could have been anticipated with the easy solution of a cross bar attachment along the top with ring and hook secures). Hopefully Epson tracks these comments and makes the necessary quality improvements to this product. Although the buyer should be aware of this problem, it may not be common and the options for similar portable screens are few. None-the-less, buyer beware.
Lower quality than expected ...
June 9, 2015
Item came shipped not functional. The screw on the arm that is attached the side of the screen had fallen off. So I'm concerned with the overall quality and durability since it already arrived damaged. There was also noticeable dents and scratches all over the item. Overall, I am really disappointed in the quality of the product.
Dissatisfied with projection screen gift purchase
August 23, 2014
This was a gift I had shipped to my niece in Columbus, OH. She was planning to make a video presentation at a recent family reunion and was persuaded NOT to rent a screen, but to own this one which she identified online. I was not impressed with what I saw when I arrived at the reunion, The screen seemed flimsy, fragile, and not very sturdy. While she was certainly pleased that she did not have to spend any money to rent one, she probably would have chosen a different brand/model screen had she known how inadequate this one was. While the surface of the screen was ok, I anticipate that even with modest use, this screen will not be functional before long. I have had my DA-LITE screen for more than 20 years, and it still looks and functions like it was new. The challenge would have been transporting my screen to/from the reunion with all the other stuff we had to carry. Once we left the reunion, my niece would still be faced with renting a screen EACH time she needed to make a video presentation. That's not very cost effective, and that's why the gift. If only it could be returned for a better model at the same price!!
Heavy, holds impressions and curls on both top and bottom
August 20, 2012
The concept is different than the traditional typical screen in that it opens horizontal vs. vertical. What I like:Stand is sturdy, easily store stand in the screen case.Screen is protected in a decent case, although plastic case, we'll see how durable it is over time.Has the option to mount to a wall. What I don't like:Bulky and heavy compared to other screens due to the dual enclosures (right and left) that come together. As other reviewers have mentioned, top and bottom edges curl, although it curls only on the black edge, not affecting the screen itself. The one I received has indentation marks where the screen comes together like it's been stored in this closed position for a while. I've seen this screen elsewhere and it did not have this issue or the curling, so not sure if this is due to being stored for quite some time or if it's due to something else. I'll try to post a picture of these issues.Height is very short as others have said, so if you are showing this to a crowded room, you may be challenged to get it to a height everyone can view. Wish they offered an extension tube or a height adjusted base.

Review mostly related to storage and or shipping of product. Screen arrived damaged falling out of unsealed box and imo water damaged box. As a result, it is missing the wall mount+ hardware. Screen casing marred in several places, and screen has indentations from being rolled up with chunks of stuff on the screen.
Starting falling apart after two uses and could not return
September 15, 2016
This screen started coming apart after two uses. We don't use it very frequently, so when we went to return it we were told we were outside the 30 day window. Save your $, buy something else more durable.
Screen not tight, edges curl, nothing to support the middle of the screen
January 28, 2016
The top and bottom edges curl back and the screen sags slightly in the middle. Creases exist toward the middle of the screen where the case meets when folded up. I sent my original order back as defective and Amazon sent a replacement. The second screen received was just as bad, so I had to send that one back as well.
Disappointed the screen sags and has indentation in middle does ...

Disappointed the screen sags and has indentation in middle does not scretch out all the way. They need to add something that goes parallel so the screen can be completely flat but I like that it's portable and compact.
Watch for loose screws
January 8, 2016
I ordered this back in June of 2015. The only complaint at the time was the screen kind of bulges out in the middle once opened. I would have rated it 4 stars. The reason I'm writing this review and giving it two stars is because the last time I opened the screen a screw came loose. I have only used the screen a handful of times so this shouldn't have happened. This made the entire skeleton of the projector come unhinged. As the projector unfolded the screw or either the metal that came loose put holes all in my screen. I was able to put it back together but the holes are still in the screen. Anybody that has purchased this or is thinking about purchasing this will probably want to check the screws from time to time to make sure they are tight.
Poor manufacturing ruined what might have been a great screen
March 5, 2015
Based on positive reviews, I purchased this screen at the last minute for an upcoming speaking event. Bad idea. There is a tightening piece on the pole to clamp the legs in place on the center pole. On my brand new screen the piece can not be tightened; it just spins and spins without ever gripping the pole. This means that the center pole sags to the floor and the legs are never fully extended, making the screen both too low to the floor and unstable. The slightest nudge sends it tumbling to the floor. Very disappointing.
