Five Star Reviews: | 79% Great buy March 15, 2016 Excellent choice of brad nailer for one that was simply warn out. I'm glad I did the research to find this nail gun. Handles well - balance and weight are appropriate for a quality brad nailer. The rear exhaust, ease of depth adjustment, ease of clearing jams (although haven't had any jams), and power to drive in hardwoods are all positive factors. The included swivel air connection is a bonus for a competitively priced unit. Light in weight and easy to use November 17, 2014 Delivery was as expected and on time. The packaging for the tool itself is well-designed, Amazon packing it in a second appropriate sized carton. The plastic case it comes with has extra space for brads, a handy feature. I put this nailer to work the day it arrived, installing maple quarter round and mop board moldings for about a half day with no misfires or jambs. This tool is highly maneuverable and light in weight, the body being of magnesium with some plastics, where appropriate. I regret not having purchased this brad nailer earlier, this tool making the job so much easier than hand nailing. I was surprised that this tool is relatively quiet in use, just making a "snap" sound when driving a brad. The five-year warranty is a definite plus. Good first impression overall August 6, 2014 Jammed the first time I tried it, using 2" nails. Cleared the jam and tried 1" and 5/8", both of which worked. Had to adjust depth to countersink a bit, but that is normal. Used 1" nails to reattach trim after replacing all material on screened in porch, probably ~100 nails, no problems, worked great. Used 5/8" nails to repair a table that 5-6 trim pieces had fallen off when dropped. Worked fine other than having to nail set a few that the depth gauge didn't work on. Then tried the 2" nails later on test boards and had to increase compressor pressure to about 120# but it worked great after that. No more jams. Using Hitachi nails on 5/8" and 1", and an unknown brand on the 2" (given to me). Lowe's didn't have anything less than 3,000 count Senco nails so that why I bought Hitachi. Manual says only use Senco but that can't be right. Or it's a legal thing to cover themselves. I like the feel and operation, smooth and solid. You do have to keep looking to see if the red indicator for low nail supply is showing or not. It will dry fire when out and mark the wood. Carrying case is nice, with space for a small pack or 2 of nails. Swivel air connect is nice for tight spots. Haven't used belt clip so right now it's in the way. Has to be rotated all the way to get gun to fit back into case. All minor things. Like it very much so far. Would buy again. Great price for a Senco. August 5, 2014 This gun is exactly the same as a Rigid pinner. Been using it and no problems. A very fair price. Most guns nowadays are throw away when they break down. We try to fix ours when we can. All of our large nail guns are Senco and live forever with a little repair occasionally. We are millwork installers and depend on good air tools. another quality senco product April 23, 2014 i bought this nailer because my old (over 20 years) senco brad nailer quit on me for no apparent reason and i needed one asap. i have many senco nailers and all have been durable and functioned well. this nailer is larger than my old one but aside from that it works really well. the swivel air fitting is a nice addition and the depth adjustment works easily and well. also it is quieter than most others. if your wondering about going oil-less i have two other senco guns that are oil-less and both are over 15 years old and still in continual opperation. there's many other features also that just make this nailer the best i've seen. it's worth every cent of its cost. as for my old nailer that quit, i took it apart one weekend, blew it out with some air and reassembled it and it worked perfectly. was totally clean inside so must have been a little congestion somewhere that got cleaned out so who knows maybe good for another 20 years although it's an oiler. i love it because it's really small. | 50% ve usedd it some but not a lot it drives ... August 31, 2017 ve usedd it some but not a lot it drives the staples completely in the product. I have not used the brad nailer part of it. Five Stars August 8, 2017 Worked great! I didn't have any issues and I have only used staple guns a few times. Very pleased. I have all ways liked Stanley tools and ... March 30, 2017 Very pleased. I have all ways liked Stanley tools and the electric staple is great. |
Four Star Reviews: | 10% Awesome Finish Nailer November 30, 2016 I love this gun. The first thing I noticed was how light it is. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because I wish they had designed it so it would not dry fire. I also bought the Senco 2" 23ga pin nailer, which I love as well. Overall great nailer. May 6, 2016 Lots of power for something that is so light! The exhaust port is a great design. Again it packs a big punch. Minor adjustment for depth out of the box and it's setting goals nails into hard maple, mdf, poplar, no problem. Not anywhere close to its deepest setting. Drawbacks- the magazine slide is plastic. Was expecting that to be metal. For the price I was expecting to see no plastic. Also the belt hook gets in the way a lot. It's either set for use with your left hand or set for use with your right. Generally not a problem but a bit annoying when it does get in the way and digs into the heel of your hand. Light and powerful March 27, 2016 Light, powerful, and easy to used. Nail depth adjustment could be better. Don't like having to guess how deep or shallow nails would go in after adjusting knob. Not perfect, but darn good March 4, 2016 I've always liked Senco nailers. This one is a little "moody." It's much harder to nail at an (even a slight) angle than others I have owned, but, otherwise, does everything I ask of it. Very high quality unit (like the other 5 I own). Another thing about Senco, their customer service is as good as Amazon's. SENCO FinishPro® 18MG, 2-1/8" 18-Gauge Brad Nailer (ProSeries) May 11, 2014 Aloha, I like it just a little worried about oilless but I can get over it if it lasts. Also I can't get the 2 1/8" nails sent to Hawaii, guess 2 1/8" nails are illegal here. I would buy again good price, handy belt hook, would have liked a bigger case to hold more nails(at least a box). | 14% Great for the price May 16, 2016 Great for the price. Staples don't go all the way into 2x4s and most plywood (1/2"-3/4") I've used it on. Otherwise would have given 5 stars. Sticking With It February 27, 2015 Okay, so I admit I'm addicted to all tools that will help make my craft projects easier, but this really has been great. I used this nail gun to help me adhere old Texas license plates to wood for wall art and it worked perfectly. I can't wait to hit the craft markets and start selling all my cool collages. I'm hoping to start a new project soon and it is one I would never attempt without this tool. And, so far, I haven't even hurt myself with this one. |
Three Star Reviews: | 5% I bought this and used it pretty heavily for about 4 month than it started to ... September 6, 2017 I bought this and used it pretty heavily for about 4 month than it started to fail. The piston started to stick and would reset. Definitely not the quality I was looking for in a Senco. You can never go wrong with dewalt so just go fo[r their similarly priced gun. Not pro use April 16, 2017 Love the senco line but if I had to do it again I would have spent a little more money and got the next step up. About every third shot is not setting and I have the air pressure right and the depth gauge is all the way in. I've been trimming for a long time and this is really annoying to have to stop every ten seconds to set a nail. On the plus side if and when it jambs it's an easy tool free fix, and the air exhaust comes out the bottom of the gun and is adjustable. Three Stars December 2, 2015 It did not come with the bumpers I use in my work. I had to order them separately in my opinion not for heavy use In general I did not like this gun December 3, 2014 Bulky, Heavy, in my opinion not for heavy use In general I did not like this gun. No marks due to the soft tip. It looks ... August 15, 2014 No marks due to the soft tip. It looks long lasting and has many features. It does however create a much larger hole than my cheap 18 gauge gun when setting the pin just below the suface.. | 9% Not strong enough September 18, 2017 This will staple into pine fine. I tried to put 5/8" brads into oak and they only went in about a 1/2" on the + setting. Make it more powerful and charge another $5. ... okay but the power is less than I would like for reupholstering furniture January 13, 2017 works okay but the power is less than I would like for reupholstering furniture. Next time would buy a higher powered staple gun. Not the best for brads March 23, 2016 Maybe I expected too much. I bought this to sink brads in a few locations that were too small to use my finishing nail gun. The finishing nail gun would have split the smaller pieces of wood. Well, this electric brad gun just didn't have enough umph to get the job done in those spots. Tossed it aside & haven't used it since I bought it. It's probably just fine for general purpose stapling, but I didn't find it very helpful for a brad nail gun. Seems kind of touchy but nice when it's May 22, 2015 Works okay so far. I've maybe fired 10 reams of staples, and it has jammed once. It also will randomly not fire for no apparent reason, and the only way I found to fix it wAs to push it against a totally flat piece of scrap and fire. Then it would work on rough surface again. Seems kind of touchy but nice when it's working IT works good if you hold it down and staple If you ... January 22, 2015 IT works good if you hold it down and staple If you don't the staples don't go in flat it stay at the top It work great for my projects so far. I will give it another review as soon as I complete my other projects It is more easy on the hands than the manual staple |
Two Star Reviews: | 2% For Light Use Only April 4, 2016 Used for a week to do cabinet work and blew after a use of work. It's not meant for daily use. for home owners only February 21, 2016 cheap poorly made gun for home owners. if you plan on using a brad nailer everyday spend a little bit more on the nicer senco brad nailer Shoots well when it works. June 5, 2014 Stopped firing nails after a week. Took it into the shop under warranty and I'm still waiting to hear what they have to say is wrong. Fired great when it worked under single fire. The rapid fire left plenty of nails proud and I had to hammer them down. Senco needs to work out some bugs in this one. | 5% I am disappointed. September 11, 2017 Even after adjusting it, the brat nails that came with it will not go all the way in to pine word. I am disappointed. Great stapler but not enough power June 11, 2017 I bought this stapler to redo my jet ski seats. The stapler just didn't have the power to go thru the plastic base. It shoots staples perfect on other softer surfaces, just not what I wanted. Not what I was expecting. April 4, 2016 I assume if you were nailing fabric this would work. I bought it to nail on small wooden glass stops. 1/2" thick and it would barely penetrate the wood at all. Maybe I read the description wrong but I have no use for it. |
One Star Reviews: | 4% received used part August 25, 2017 the product we received appeared to be used. it had scratches and paint all over it. we sent it back, and did not buy another. Need return this guns. And my money back thanks ... February 26, 2017 Need return this guns. And my money back thanks. Senco is still crappie as ever September 28, 2016 It has a huge driver that strikes off center of nail and leaves as big of a hole as my 15 gauge. Bad nail gun!! February 14, 2015 Leaves the nails sticking out and I ajusted the gun many times and still the same problem | 22% One Star August 15, 2016 Doesn't work half of the time and the other time it doesn't drive as well as it should! Weak performer! June 16, 2016 Very weak performance! Wouldn't even fully drive a 1/4" staple into mahogany wood. Returned for refund. Not strong enough to staple fabric to wood. Staple barely go in wood. March 11, 2016 This gun does not staple well in wood. I bought this to re upholstery my kitchen chair bottoms and the staples barely go in the wood. It is not strong enough for use with wood. Maybe for super soft wood. December 20, 2015 Disappointed. It won't nail all the way into most woods. Wanted for pallet projects. Thought it was worth a try since we don't have an air compressor. Wasted money. |
