Perfect solution for me, did not have to hack up my 42 yo classic to install them and they sound great in a small area with my Pioneer stereo I read all the reviews, biggest complaint is coming loose from bracket. Easy fix is to install a small washer under the Knob to increase the holding power. Works great, and you dont have to crank down so hard that you break it. | Great replacements for water damaged speakers in workout roomJuly 26, 2017 Bought as a replacement to a set that got damaged by water leaks... they are a touch tinny (not sure if that is correct word), but the base response is slightly lacking compared to what I had. But for the price, the fact that they are supposed to be water proof (not going to test them), they were a great buy. Good for the moneyNovember 1, 2016 They work good. They definitely compete sound-wise with the "bigger name" higher cost outdoor speakers. I bought these 125 watt versions as an upgrade to the 100 watt Dual model which at around $35 a pair seems like robbery for how good they are. I wanted a bit more bass and these 125 watt versions do produce more bass than the 100 watt version, but I'm not convinced that at twice the price of the 100 watt version, that they sound that much better. But having said that, I still think compared to other brand speakers in this category, they are a great value. Decent speaker especially for the priceJanuary 5, 2016 Speakers work well. Not the best sounding, but good enough for some ambient outdoor music during a party. For those that are wondering, such as I was, the nominal impedance on these speakers is 8 ohms according the product page (http://store.dualav.com/p/lu43pw-indoor-outdoor-speakers-white). They were easy to mount and wire. Just be careful not to over-tighten as the plastic is a little flimsy, but more than sufficient to hold the speakers in place. For the price these speakers work well, if you are expecting quality sound then look at something better, but these were perfect for my deck just to provide some background music. The speakers are thoughtfully made with details like foam gaskets around the on the housing for the bracket knobs to tighten against. I didn't give this five stars because my package came with only 3 rather than 4 of those bracket knobs. Upon trying to contact Amazon through my account (return or replace items), a notice said that "This item isn't eligible for return". So now I have to take it up with the manufacturer I guess. |
