Great Computer for a great price
April 27, 2016
This was a steal of a deal for the price! With tax and everything we got it for $715. We bought it as a gift for my sister and she absolutely loves it. The tablet capabilities are a great feature. I would definitely recommend this laptop to friends and family.

the best computer/laptop I have ever purchased
November 24, 2015
This is, quite simply, the best computer/laptop I have ever purchased. As a business consultant, I travel constantly and I wanted a laptop that would be ultra-light, reliable, fast, extremely versatile, tough, and looks highly professional. This laptop gets five stars in each of those categories. The picture quality is the best of any laptop I've owned. The laptop itself is extremely light--something that is important when you are lugging a laptop bag everywhere you go. The stylish watchband hinge is what gives the Yoga 3 Pro its magic, though. For example, while flying, you can unfold the laptop so it is nearly flat and props against the seat in front of you on the plane, thus allowing you to easily watch videos in an extremely cramped situation. You can put the laptop in 'tent' mode and place it at the head of a meeting table to quickly share presentations for a group. You can easily switch to tablet mode at a lecture and take notes with a stylus. The keyboard is great, with good travel/pressure on the keys. Feels 'quality' and, best of all, illuminates when you want it for low light situations.

All-in-all, I can't rave enough about this laptop. The only drawbacks I've noticed so far (and I have been actively using mine for over a month), are: a) The volume is limited on the speakers. The volume is loud enough in most circumstances, but not suitable, for instance for playing music while performing other tasks and moving around a room. With headphones, the volume is fine. I recommend getting small, peripheral wifi speakers to boost sound when you need it. b) The built-in camera doesn't seem to be all that great. Not a major issue, depending on how you use the computer, but the pictures seem a little grainy. Not bad, though. c) Battery life is 'okay'. On a full charge, my laptop lasts anywhere from 4 to 5 hours. This is less than some other laptops, but in my opinion, a minor issue as I typically have access to a power source during that time. Also, these days you can easily purchase peripheral backup power sources if battery life is a concern, so it's an easy workaround.

UPDATE: Since I first purchased this laptop just a few months ago, I discovered a MAJOR design flaw which anyone thinking of buying this laptop should be aware of. It is the battery and charging system. My Yoga 3 Pro functioned fine--until today--right before I was set to use it for a critically important presentation. For some reason, although the system reported the battery was 'in good condition', the power adapter was not being detected and therefore was not charging the battery. (I since went online and found that others have had this issue.) I had to watch helplessly as the power drained from my laptop and I could no longer even turn it on to attempt a fix. And, since the battery is inaccessible without unscrewing and removing the bottom plate of the laptop and thereby voiding its warranty, I could not even swap out the drained battery for a new one, even if I had one available. As a result, I had to call Lenovo Tech Support. The woman I spoke to was in India. She was helpful, to a very limited degree, but the language barrier was severe. More importantly, I should not have even had to call her, since a battery/power issue of this kind is pretty unacceptable for a computer that runs upwards of $1,000. This is a blatant design flaw--and a really bad one. Now, I have to send my still-new laptop away to a service center, hoping to get it back within the next few weeks. My laptop has a ton of valuable data on it and I really need it this week as I am scheduled to do several important presentations. I am NOT happy.

Clearly...great screen protection!
October 9, 2016
I bought this protector screen for my Yogo Pro and I am glad I did. It is my first convertible/all-in-one and I knew that when using as a tablet there was a chance I would scratch the screen. Well, so far so good. The protector screen has done its job and well. Have not scratches, it does not interfere with the touch screen and is clear. It picks up a bit of fingerprint smudges, but can be easily wiped off with a eyeglass cloth. There is a bit of static that builds up and sometimes my cats fur sticks to the screen. It fit perfectly and I am glad to have my screen protected so well.

Great Screen Protector
December 10, 2014
Thank you for creating the video as I found it very helpful! I bought this for my Lenovo yoga 2 13 and it perfectly fits(I don't have a yoga pro - I believe this fits any yoga 13" screen). Thanks to the video, I was able to properly apply the screen protector following your FABulous instructions. Very well packaged & durable screen protector. I would buy again from this company & highly recommend them. I applied it & has been working as expected.

Check the out of the box BIOS version for needed upgrade!
June 10, 2016
Would have given 5 stars except for the annoying issue of having to update BIOS within 2 days of receiving the laptop. USB ports would become disabled. I could fix with a power down by removing the battery. This had to be done in the BIOS because there is no battery you can physically remove. BIOS update fixed permanently. Since then the laptop has performed worthy of 5 stars.

... for a week or so but so far very happy with it
January 3, 2016
Only had this notebook for a week or so but so far very happy with it. Very well engineered, light, thin and the screen is well anchored to the body which was somewhat flimsy in earlier models. If you have good wifi this PC is very fast and reliable. Only disappointment so far is that the PC does not ship with facial recognition log in - a compatibility issue? - but previous win 10 variants had it.... Bloatware is considerably reduced which is a big plus. Absolutely no problems so far - integrated into my somewhat complicated home network easily and I am using it more at home than I thought I would.
Great computer
March 6, 2015
Good product. Has little quirks that are annoying, but I mostly attribute those to how bad Windows 8 is. I would recommend the model with the 512GB SSD. The 256GB SSD ends up with much less useable space due to the Lenovo OS recovery applications/software.

I like that it comes in a three pack because I'm a perfectionist and it always takes me at least two tries. I wish there were a ballistic glass screen protector for the yoga 3. Those things are amazing and much easier to apply.
For large screen installs, patience a must.
March 15, 2015
Installation video a must see for proper installation. Although the installation video shows an easy installation on a smaller tablet my installation involved a larger screen Yoga 3 Pro. The two difficulties I encountered with the larger screen was alignment and dust. Although I checked alignment prior to installation, during the actual installation a very slight misalignment would throw off the centering for the web cam so it took several tries to get it spot on. Complicating the realignment was dust. During the time I was installing it was winter with low indoor humidity. Static cling can attract dust and lint in the cleanest home so each lifting for realignment created an opportunity for more debris to enter. My other problem that I noted was white dust near the edges of the screen protector. My guess is that the crisp edge of the screen bezel was wearing away the edge of the plastic bubble remover card as I moved bubbles to the edge. That added to the debris being caught under protector during realignment. Finally I gave up on the first sheet as it had numerous dust / debris problems. I recleaned the screen and dedusted everything again. With the next sheet I used a small flexible plastic spreader that I had saved from an auto body filler product. The spreader was slight more rigid which worked much better at removing the bubbles and it didn't leave micro debris as it rubbed against the screen bezel. After the initial install several re-lifts were needed to remove dust particles, but it went better than the first sheet. At first the corner of the protector I was lifting to remove dust was a little curled, but with-in an hour this laid back down on the screen as it should. Overall the screen protector looks very good. You can't tell it is there and there is no performance loss in screen response with it applied. Definitely patience is needed for a large screen installation along with a static free environment and a better bubble removal card.

Power supply and cord too special. Difficult to find replacements and expensive.
July 19, 2016
This computer is thin, it is light and it works pretty well. Battery life is good.My ONE complaint is simple, but it is important. The power supply and cord is very special and very difficult to find. Of course, today all computer companies have their own power supply and their own special tip to fit into the computer. HOWEVER, in the case of the Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro, The cord is TOO special. Not only is the tip special, but the power reducer is special. You need them BOTH together. If you damage or lose this power supply, which happens to many people like myself, you have to ORDER this part from Lenovo and it is EXPENSIVE. You cannot find the power supply or cord anywhere. NOBODY carries it, not even the stores that carry the Lenovo Yoga. I never had that problem with HP, for example.Because the Power supply and cord are critical to the use of a computer and because they are easily separated, it should not be made so special and so difficult to find replacements. I would NOT recommend this computer for this reason alone. There are plenty of other similar computers from other makers at similar or better prices that have more commonly and easily found power supply and cable.
Many Problems
July 5, 2016
The speakers started to not work about 6 months after getting it and about a month into it the speakers had a fuzzy sound randomly. Also the cord stopped charging after 8 months. I do like the weight of it .
Good for students
December 4, 2015
This laptop started off very good. For the record, do not expect this laptop to run a lot of high end program/software, it is not intended for that. However, it is the perfect laptop for a student, like myself. It is lightweight, sleek, and easy to transport, and have never had any annoyances out of that in terms of its physical build.I've had this for a year now and its starting to get buggy on me. Internet crashes a lot, the screens go blank white, and its performance has downgraded a little. Some of the keyboard keys have become "stuck" or are hard to push, they require more weight from the fingers than other keys do. That might not be a big deal to some, but when you're typing papers for schools, and doing lots of homework, it becomes a big deal. You constantly have to backspace or go back and enter in a key that was missed.Start up time is basically non existent. You turn it on and log on all in a matter of 5 seconds. (not joking). It starts up that quick. Shut down is pretty quick too.Battery life is bleh. It could be a lot better my opinion. Its very easy to adjust the brightness and volume of the settings so that it doesn't drain battery too. Simply hold in the function key and use the arrow keys.
Not ready for prime time
February 6, 2015
It absolutely pains me to give this machine three stars. I really, really wanted to like it. Let me start out with the good stuff. The good:Amazing engineering - the laptop is absolutely thin and beautiful. Feels great to hold. Looks amazing. It blows Apple's stuff out of the water. It really is a mind blower. Uber thin, ultra light...just awesome.Beautiful high res screen - it's a really nice IPS panel. Sharp, crisp and colorful, with great contrast. Apple quality, retina like display.Fast Wifi - downloads were lightning quick.Fast SSD - top end stuff, and rightfully so, considering the price. The BAD:Keyboard - it's not arranged like a normal keyboard; the F1 keys aren't there and they've rearranged some keys. Kinda confusing.Touchpad - I couldn't double tap for the Windows submenu. That absolutely stinks. I have a cheapy Acer that can do this. Why not this laptop? I do not like depressing the touchpad for the submenu. Sorry.GPU performance - THIS WAS THE CLINCHER. For this kind of money, I would think I could run 1080p Youtube video's without a hitch, NOT THE CASE. My big test is the 1080p60 (60 frames per second) video of MarioKart 8. My cheap work Dell i3 can run the video perfectly via Chrome. This laptop couldn't. It was having a hard time alone with standard 1080p at full screen. CPU was pegged out at 100%. Inexcusable. It's really unfortunate, I so wanted to like this device. For most folks, perhaps 80% of people, this laptop might be perfectly fine, as most people just use web, facebook, email and typing up a Word document, but for me, running full HD video (1080p) was critical. I think the GPU/CPU Intel Core M 5Y70 isn't beefy enough to run a 3200x1800 resolution screen. This processor should have been matted to a 1080p display instead. Lenovo got to ambitious with this pairing. If Intel/Lenovo can solve the performance issue, this machine, paired with Windows10, will be an amazing system. But if you can't run 1080p60, I'm not buying.I'm sending it back and getting a Thinkpad Yoga 12.5" with an i7 processor and the IPS 1080p panel...this will have more power. Also comes with a digitizer pen, which will be interesting to play with.
Yoga flexibility required to manage the tradeoffs.
January 13, 2015
I purchased mine from a local big box to replace a 3-year old Samsung Series 7 Chronos which bit the dust right before the holidays. If you're looking for thin and light you can't beat it. If you're looking for basically anything else, you might wind up disappointedPros:-Great Display-Extremely Thin & Light-Well Built with nice materials-Hinge is stiff and actually works well. Not a gimmick.Cons:-Core M CPU is slow. Full-screen internet video at any resolution is choppy in Chrome, but fine in IE.-Battery life should be longer thanks to the above CPU, but it's not. That's supposed to be the trade off. Ultra low power CPU means slower performance but longer battery, right? Right?!?-There's a fan on the CPU, which is designed to be fanless, and it runs a LOT.-No number pad (not even a fake one). Function keys can only be accessed via Fn+top row numbers-Two finger scrolling on the touchpad can be problematic. Why can't anybody make a decent touchpad?!?!-The 256GB SSD has something like 5 separate partitions on it. Give me recovery on a bootable USB stick, and let me use all my storage space.-Windows 8.1 is better than windows 8, but still not as good as Windows 7. I hope I can put Windows 10 on this someday.

Regretted my move from Dell from the start - battery concerns and trackpad issues reported from many users
August 10, 2017
Bought this laptop because of the light weight. That comes at a hefty sacrifice of battery life. I get 3 hours out of mine at best during my daily commute. After dealing with several fundamental issues with this machine for almost 2 years, I just left the following feedback for Lenovo on their community site. I'm over Lenovo. In the community, "...actually have employees jump in to offer legit help. Letting your customers feel their way through the dark on trackpads that continuously fail is unfair and just poor business practice. I keep checking for advice on external batteries as well, but Lenovo has left customers out in the cold with poor battery life and lack of external power options for the Yoga 3 Pro. I regretted moving from Dell from the start of my purchase. Ditch your proprietary power cord, make a trackpad that functions 100% of the time and make the battery last longer. "
POOR BATTERY LIFE.
March 15, 2016
I wanted to like the computer more. had it for 3 months before I end up selling it. Here are the pros and the cons.Pro:1)lightweight2)screen is great.3)touchscreen is very useful. Especially when you are surfing the net.4) price is decentCons:1) one of the worst battery life. I turned down the brightness to 50%. Turned the backlit keyboard part. Maybe I could get 3.5 hours out of it. It was not like I was watching a movie the whole time. I tried to buy external battery for it but they have a proprietary usb charger so I couldnt find any external battery pack that would charge the laptop.2) upgrading to windowns 10 was a bad idea. there is a glitch with the cursor. For instance, I would be in Word document. I would go to a sentence with my cursor to erase something. Starting typing and few seconds later, the word I typed would end up where the cursor was last placed. it would drive me nuts. it would do it constantly. so i had to put the cursor somewhere not on word doc ie outside of the page so i can type normally. Im sure someone smarter than me knows how to figure that out but I called lenovo tech support and they couldnt figure it out either.3) did i mention how terrible the battery life is. Seriously, if you need this for class or for traveling, I highly discourage from buying this.
Sluggish, even for normal use.
February 18, 2016
I got this laptop as something lightweight that can perform well. All other laptops I've had were powerhouses, but since I have a decent desktop I wanted a more mobile laptop option. This *looked* like the best option. I don't play games on it, I don't edit photos or videos with photoshop, premier or after effects on it. I don't record and write music and load up a ton of VSTs on my DAW. That's what my desktop is for. So what is this laptop for? Browsing the internet, watching movies, occasional spreadsheet editing, Skyping with friends. No heavy programs installed on this.As I type this I have 5 tabs open on Chrome and Skype in the background, this thing is hovering at 85-100% CPU usage at any time. Videos are more often than not very choppy, and the whole system gets bogged down if I let a video buffer in the background. Watching anything at 60 frames is difficult, the CPU jumps to 100% and everything comes to a hault until I close the window. Switching (alt-tab) between programs while watching a video or listening to music on youtube is very sluggish. The ability to multitask on this thing is heavily compromised.I want to give this a better rating, the design, fit and function of the flipping works excellently it really does. However, even for casual usage this laptop is seriously lacking. It's basically a tablet with a keyboard.
Painfully slow
February 1, 2016
I was impressed with the form-factor on this machine, as well as the screen resolution, BUT the processor is SO SLOW that it is not viable for anything more than basic word processing and Internet browsing...definitely get a machine with a more powerful processor (i5 or i7). Also, the docking station (port replicator) does not charge the laptop! I had high hopes, but have to give this a 2 star rating, which is still generous given the high price and disappointing performance.PS- Do NOT buy the machine directly from Lenovo like I did...you will be charged a 15% restock fee...stick with Amazon so at least you can return it without being charged an extra $200.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT>I have used various screen protectors on several devices. I regret trying this one. Here are my reasons:1. The product does not stick to the surface at all. There were entire areas of the edge that wouldn't adhere.2. To the touch it feels very rough. Not smooth enough for ease of use.3. Even with a spotless surface there were so many bubbles it was ridiculous. Please be aware that I followed directions to the T and this was the result. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.Hope this helps.

Unless you live on the ISS, this product is worthless. I tried to install one of these damn things three times, and there was always some microscopic piece of dust that got caught between the protector and the screen, no matter how hard I cleaned/vacuumed the house beforehand. And these pieces of duct caused the screen to then look like it was dying of the plague, no matter how hard I tried to force them out.
