Okay, so admittedly, I opened it, put it together and immediately started fiddling with it. The lights cycle through the colors (LOVE!) in about a minute (54 seconds) but you have the option to make it stationary (also love!) (15 color options). The strength of smell depends on the quality of oil you use and the amount you put in. Personally, I filled it with water, like you're supposed to and sat there shaking the crap out of my oils until I felt like I could saturate an army, then plugged her in and let her go. It's a cold mist, which is nice. No sound, except for the occasional bubbling water (which I feel is an added benefit). It's been on for an hour (at time of posting) and it's not hot to touch. I wasn't sure about it, because it was comparatively cheaper than others I was looking at, and I figured I'd give it a go, if I didn't like it, I'd use it as a light display only. But no worries here, I love it. I mean, I've only just received it, so there's that, but I don't know why I didn't buy it sooner.

I purchased this diffuser for travel, as I needed something to use my essential oils with when I took a plane to California. I was hunting something that would be small and lightweight, so it wouldn't take up much rom in my carry on. This diffuser was perfect for that! The electrical cord prevents the need for batteries, which is perfect for traveling. I didn't want to be searching for batteries in Cali. There an option to leave the light on or turn it off...I kept it off so I wouldn't be disturbed at night. It has four color options, which is a nice benefit if you do want the light on. The diffuser holds enough water to provide a steady mist, and I was able to fall asleep easily away from home since I had my lavender EO filling my hotel room! Now that I'm back from my trip, this diffuser is used as a second one in our home.

This is the coolest little gizmo! Easy to use, the colors are fantastic (I find the red particularly soothing), and it works like a charm. Produces a lot of super fine cool mist immediately when you start it up, scents up my bedroom wonderfully with whatever oil or oil blend I need or am in the mood for. And it is lower than whisper quiet. The first night I got it I set it up, put my best lavender oil in it and turned it on. My husband wanted to know what the new tech thing was, I said to ignore it and go to bed. He was out cold in under 5 minutes flat, snoring, and slept deeply & soundly all night. I did the same when I came to bed later (minus the snoring. Really). My nose doesn't swell shut & stop up at night now, no more cracked lips or dry skin. And it turns itself off. It makes me sleep so sound I've never even heard it when it did shut off.

And did I mention just how cool it looks?! Easily my most favorite new gizmo. It's gonna be on every night, without fail. I will take it with me if I have to travel. I won't be without it. I'm thinking of purchasing more for other rooms of my home, I love it that much. Very, very cool. I couldn't be more pleased.

This little diffuser works like a charm. I use it beside me on my nightstand. I run a small fan at night because we get warm so this has helped me keep my sinuses hydrated. I usually wake up with a sinus headache, but using this diffuser along with some quality essential oils, has kept it away.

I did not use the oil that it came with. Even though it states, "100% Pure Lavender Oil", I knew it wasn't because of the disclaimer that we could not ingest it. (If you find quality "therapeutic grade" oils to use, you can actually ingest and experience the benefits of the oil that way.) Anyway, I had given my boss the oil that this device came with and she used it in her own diffuser in the office. I've found that she needed to use 6-8 drops to get some sort of decent scent to expel from it. (Whereas I only need 1-3 drops using the quality essential oil.) And I've also found that the less quality oils made my throat a bit "scratchy" as if irritated. I had her throw them out. I didn't want that type of sythetic oil entering my body and causing my throat to do that. (So now we use an essential oil called "Wild Orange" at the office.)

The light is a very nice feature. It can operate independently from the diffuser setting. It has four color settings, each with a high and low setting. I've found that the lowest and less intrusive setting (for sleeping) is the low red setting.
I like that the diffuser has the timer setting. Mine usually shuts off before all the water is gone. Which is fine. I normally wake up at least one time at night for a bathroom trip so when I come back, I simply put it back on and it operates for another few hours or until the water runs out. (Oh, and I always use bottled water, I don't want to be using the hard water from my faucet.)

The only con that I have, is that when it shuts off, it shuts off with a beep. It doesn't wake me up, but if you're a light sleeper, that may be a problem for you.

My parents both had some sort of respiratory issue and I let them borrow the device one night. (My husband complained that he knew he wasn't going to sleep well that night.) They were convinced that they will need to acquire one of their own soon, especially with a particular essential oil I had placed into the device that helped them. (I used "Breathe" for them.) When I got the device back, it was greatly missed in my home. Even the dog was a bit restless, as he usually is deeply snoring when I'm using Lavender oil.

This would be great next to you on a nightstand, or on your desk. But it is definitely powerful enough to fill your room with the scent. It does start off light, but after the device has been running for a bit, the vapor can really be seen.

I've posted some pictures up to help describe this device a bit more. I really wish somebody had posted some pictures up before I bought this device, because like most of us, we go into some purchases blindly. But I do not regret this purchase.

I bought this unit a few months ago and had eventually had an issue with it. I posted my review online and was immediately contacted by their customer service team. They asked me of my issue and sent out a brand new machine! Not only did they contact me a couple days after delivery (free delivery) but they also contacted me again tonight asking how the diffuser was working out! I've had this unit for 2 weeks now and love it. The colors are wonderful. My children love to play around with the different colors. It puts out a great scent- just be sure to not fill it up all the way. It won't leave room for it to be able to circulate the water/oil mixture enough to create the humidity. Fill it up halfway and it works great.
Also, the plug-in fits both ways into my outlets, but only works one way. So if you have trouble with it, try flipping it to the other side!
It's small enough to fit behind my alarm clock of my bedside table. The sounds of the water trickling inside, the scents, and the colors are perfect for night night time! And the humidity (note- not meant for it to be a full room humidifier)is good for the sinuses :) I even put it in different rooms of the house for different reasons. Eucalyptus oils for my kids when they get sick, lavender for down time, orange for UP time!
I definitely recommend!

I've tried several different brands of the 100mL duffusers and had them go bad within two months. Was ready to get another 300mL brand like the one I've had for ages, but when I read the company has a lifetime guarantee, I decided to give it a try. The 100mL allows you to have an intermittent mist or a constant mist, unlike the 300mLs which only emit a constant stream of mist.When I opened the box I could tell this was a more substantial diffuser than the other brands I've tried. It was a bit heavier and it was easy to click the top in place and remove it.BTW, when buying ultrasonic diffusers, if you aren't using pure essential oils and are using a blend with a carrier oil in it, it's really important to clean it out with 50/50 vinegar and water between uses, using a Q-tip dipped in the solution to wipe the ultrasonic part. The carrier oil will clog the ultrasonic part.and cause it to leak from the bottom. If there is no carrier oil in the oils, you only need to clean it every 5 days.Thank you Fine Line Living for your warranty so I could get the product I really wanted. And your followup emails to make sure I was happy with the diffuser were greatly appreciated. I'll be buying another one for my sister.

I'm a professional diffuser. Well I would be if that were a profession. I've been loyal to young living's "rose petal" home diffuser for 4 years... 6 replacements later I got fed up and instead bought this diffuser for a fraction of the cost. What I like about this product- the mist choice function (both options give great output), I like the off-centered mist opening- it makes it easier to control where my mist goes (even with my ceiling fans running). I like the measuring cup so no overfilling bc u can't see the fill line, the cord length-it makes placing it just where I want it much easier, and oddly the colored light function- which I thought would annoy me or be gaudy, but the colors are pretty and somewhat soothing. The color change isn't abrupt so it sits across the room but doesn't take my focus away from what I'm doing. For the price and functionality, so far, I am extremely pleased with this diffuser and plan to get a second for another location in my home. It has replaced my always broken young living diffusers.

Love it!!! This is the second diffuser I have bought from Fine Line Living. I gave my first diffuser to my daughter as she was recently diagnosed with bone cancer. She has been using the immune strength essential oil (Rocky Mountain Oils) and I believe it is helping keep her immune system strong as she undergoes chemo. Thank you for such a great product!!

We really like this diffuser a lot! We were looking for one with an intermittent button (30 secs. on and 30 secs. off) as well as a continuous mode button, and this one has those features. It is a nice design that isn't too large. We returned a different brand of diffuser that didn't have good output and was really bulky... This one is nice! It also has really pretty colors that you can choose from or let cycle through... or no color at all if you prefer. We like having the options. We also really like that this is a family business, and they were so good to check and see that it arrived safely and wanted to help in any way!! They included an attachment of recipes for use. We liked this one so much, I ordered another one for my wife to have in her first grade classroom.

I have finally found the perfect diffuser! I'm a Young Living member and have their Bamboo diffuser, but I honestly like this AromaSoft diffuser by Fine Line Living much better. The design is less likely to tip over than my tall, narrow YL bamboo diffuser. But my favorite feature, and the reason I bought this diffuser (after looking at many, many diffusers online) is that it has the option to continuously diffuse (for quite a few hours according to other reviews), OR to intermittently diffuse for 30 seconds on/30 seconds off. I wanted a diffuser that will diffuse intermittently for using while sleeping. It's easy to choose which diffusing option you want with the button on the right at the bottom of the diffuser. The button on the left controls the lights, which are pretty cool -- you can cycle through quite a few pretty colors, one color fading slowly into the next color, or you can press the button again to lock in one color. Or, you can have no colors, which is perfect for nighttime diffusing. Other pluses: it uses regular tap water (no need for distilled water), and it puts out a nice, strong mist so that you're getting the benefits of your essential oils. My other diffuser puts out a much "wispier" stream of mist.I emailed the company to clarify the warranty, and they responded quickly and were very friendly. Basically, they stand behind the diffuser if it malfunctions (I'm sure the owner has to maintain it properly -- you do have to clean diffusers or the oil builds up), and that's good enough for me. I'm buying several more -- in case they ever stop selling this diffuser because I have not found any other diffuser with these functions. And a bonus for me is that Fine Line Living is a small, family owned, start-up company and I like to support this type of seller.

First of all this company has one of the best customer service departments out there. I sent them 2 questions and they were answered almost before I pressed 'Send'. Then they send me an email letting me know the item had shipped and a separate email with a menu to make essential oil recipes AND a set of the BEST directions for any product I have every read. This diffuser is so simple to make work that 'even an adult can do it' :) . I ordered two and they arrived very fast and perfectly packaged. After opening the box it took me less than a minute to have them working using my essential oils. I have one in my living room and the other in my bedroom and they put out a lot of great smelling mist!! I love the 30 second on 30 off option which means my diffuser runs for over 14 hours. I liked the 'mood' lights but loved that I could turn them off at night when I wanted to sleep. Overall one of the best purchases I've made from Amazon over the years. The only sad part is that this diffuser is currently out of stock because I want to buy another one or two. However, the great customer service has told me that they will be in stock again soon. You can't go wrong with this one. Try it, you'll like it. I certainly do.

I have no experience with essential oils or diffusers, so I'm not sure what's typical, but I'm very happy with this purchase. The price ($25 when I bought it) was a great deal, especially since I didn't know if I'd like it or not.

It's easy to use, and the timer is a handy feature. I didn't think I'd use the colored lights much, but I can't resist: it's pretty! It's sufficient to scent a small to average-sized room, certainly not the whole house, but good for an office or bedroom. Also, (assuming you don't fill it all the way up), it's easy to change the strength of the scent on the fly: add more water, or add more oil, anytime you want.

My only complaint is that it holds onto the previous scent. So, if you put on peppermint, then the next day try lavender, you are going to get lavender-peppermint instead of just lavender, and rinsing it out between scents doesn't help. *shrug* Maybe this is normal for all diffusers, I don't know.

Good diffuser for a small space. I wish i had bought a bigger one now that i have this. When i have my window open the scent of oils is not as strong for obvious reason, but when the wondow is closed it is so relaxing to go to sleep to it. Sounds like a tiny little bubble bath next to me and i love the light change even though i leave it off at night bc it is really bright, when i transfer it to my bathroom and leave the light on its prettier than a candle. Oh and it came with one bottle of lavander oil. Awesome!!!

We have had this for almost a year now and use it frequently with different essential oils.

Pros: great colors and a nice mist- it looks pretty and distributes the oil well in a bedroom sized room.

Cons: the timer is too short- I wish you could run it until the wanted runs out. But the biggest issue I have is that the part that holds water doesn't detach so you can clean it properly. I see others use a paper towel but with doing that I can't ever get all the oil out and it accumulates at the very bottom indent in the container. I use Qtips and even then the oily residue remains. As a result every oil smells like the Eucalyptus we use frequently. Also, the Max waterline mark washed off in the first week of use.

Overall for the price it's a nice little device, I would recommend it even if slightly flawed.

Its cute. it works. It's small but still holds quite a bit of water. I have arthritis in my dominant hand, thumb and forefinger,however, and found the cover difficult to get on and off (you have to twist it and then pull up, and reverse to replace, very specific about cover placement to get this accomplished). And the buttons to push to change the light color and water level setting were not very handy (no pun intended) to use. The color does not auto switch - you pick one color and it stays that color until you change it or turn it off. But each color has a bright and dim setting, or you can choose just white light. I purchased another diffiuser at the same time for a different location in my home, $20 more. It's not cute, but is much easier to turn off and on and remove cover to refill. And the color can be set to stay the same or switch automatically, or not be on at all.

It's smaller than I thought. Height is only about 5.5inch, and 3in of diameter. But then I tell myself it's a diffuser not a humidifier.

I used the essencial oil (lavender scent) that came with the unit: added like 5-6 drops in 60ml of water, then pushed to 120min like the instruction said. But with my small bedroom, I don't smell the scent unless I put my nose underneath the vapor... I tell myself maybe it's the essencial oil not pure enough?? So I changed to a more well-known brand. Now it's better, but still not as I expected, or like someone said in the review: have it on the second floor and could smell it on the first floor... No, I don't smell it in the same room (I don't consider my room big and my mom calls my nose a dog-nose...), unless I put it on the nightstand besides my bed.

But I love its lights, all very pretty colors! :D And it is really ultrasonic and quiet while it's working. Has a light sound of water flowing, but it doesn't bother me, since it sounds like the zen meditation water fountain or something like that...

Many people say that it stops working after few days. I don't know about that. I only used it for a week, maybe 4 times. The longest time point I've set was 120min. I've never tried 180min, because the unit gets hot even at 120min. I don't want to damage it...And I carried it in a very very cautious/delicate way: not tilted it, only poured water from the drain side, took care not to let water drip in the air outlet, placed it on desk lightly, etc. If this one is still working by the time of my mom's birthday, I think I will buy another one for her. :)

I'm new to Aromatherapy and did not want to spend money on an expensive diffuser. Saw the reviews for this one and decided to purchase. Only once did I forget to turn it off and yes it did turn itself off without going dry. It is very quiet and you have the option of running it with colorful lights or none at all. The top portion twists off from the base and is easy to fill. I put this in my living room and was surprised that I could smell the essential oils in my basement. Thanks Fine Line Living, for offering an affordable diffuser.

Nice diffuser. Powerful for it's small size.I like the large capacity container. Fill it to the top (think that's 100ml) using the fill cup that comes with it. I add 3-4 drops of EO. Lasts for about 4 hrs when have it set to run full time & most of the day in intermittent mode.I like that I can have setting on intermittent (30 sec on-30 sec off) or full time diffusing. To my brain, I think the mist color settings for on full\intermit are backwards. To me green means Go, so I think the full time on should be under the green mist lite, & the intermittent under the red mist lite.Mist shoots up about 6-7" & is good amt of mist with 14mm wide spout.The whole cover lites up with lovely soft colors. You can have it cycle thru colors, or stay on a single color, or turn off the lites completely.Not noisy at all.the only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is hard to unplug the power from the bottom of the unit (to rinse out the inside).

This works pretty good. Don't care for the loud chirpy sound. Would prefer no sound at all. Glad that it turns itself off if it runs out of liquid and is great because I forget to turn it off often. The vapor is cool and heavy, often sinking straight down to the floor. Placing it somewhere high would help and even having a small fan behind it (or perhaps underneath?) will help disperse the vapor. I wish the cord was a tad longer. I like the colors. It's fun to have.

Small diffuser, great for the price. I like that you can turn the lights off. However, it also has run-mode lights, green for intermittent and red for continuous. I have to run it on continuous as the green light is way too bright. This is my first diffuser so not sure what to expect as far as area coverage. I find I do have to be close to smell it at all. You can see the mist up to about 12 inches from the diffuser. Easy to fill. Long enough cord to be able to move it around a bit.

This is my first diffuser and it's great so far. Opening and closing with water being inside took a few practices but I got it easily enough. What kept me from giving 5 stars was that even if you turn off the lights the green "On" light is really bright. It would be nice if factory design could figure out how to dim the "On" light a bit. Delivery was prompt and that included the online recipes.

This is a great diffuser. It has been running nearly non-stop since I got it 2 weeks ago and I haven't had a problem yet. I plug it in in our bedroom around 10pm each night and it is still running at 6am when I get up the following morning. I run it all day in the kitchen when I leave for work. The level of output is nice and makes my whole kitchen smell great. There are two issues I have with this diffuser: the hum, and the mist light. If the unit is running continuously the hum becomes white noise, but the water won't last through the night. The 30sec on 30sec off is just enough to be disturbing when trying to sleep if you are used to quiet like my husband and I.There is a little green indicator light above the Mist button. My husband and I like a DARK bedroom and when the other lights on the diffuser are off the indicator light is very bright. Even brighter than our digital clock. I tried to remedy the issue by putting electrical tape over the bulb, but because the unit is white the green light is carried through out and still lights up our room. I've purchased a different diffuser just for our bedroom that was silent and had no indicator lights, but plan to use this one in another place in the house.I think the two issues I have with it are things that may not bother other people, and if covering the light with electrical tape had fixed the issue I would have given it 5 stars and ignored the hum. Other than that, I think this is worth the money.

I am only giving this 3 stars because this is more for someone who is just getting into the Aroma Diffuser world and wants to understand the process more. I didn't really have any problems with it, it worked like it was supposed to but the downfall is that you don't really get that aroma smell at all. I did try giving it more water and less water but I always got the same result. Like I said this is nice for someone who wants to know how to take care of a diffuser and wants to know the ropes of it, but this is something not for long term use. Other people may have had better luck with it but for me, I think I will be buying a different diffuser. I do recommend this one for someone who is a beginner but for someone who is looking for more long term use and something worth the money, this is not it. I don't hate it, but I don't love it either.

I like this diffuser. I wanted to love it because it's pretty. But the problem with it is the mist-to-air output. For the amount of mist it puts out, there should be a higher volume of air to propel it into the atmosphere. I watch it work - the pretty little thing with its lovely colored lights - and all I see is a plume of mist that goes up an inch and then falls down onto my bedside table. If I'm within 7 feet of it, I can smell it working, but as I move to the foot of my bed, I smell nothing. Sad. I think if I bought a little fan and put it behind the pretty little thing, I might get better results, but I have a toddler, so no fans right now. It could be so much better.
UPDATE 11/18/15: I've only had this diffuser for a little more than a month and it has some problems. The top cover piece has a small "flume" insert that now doesn't stay in place. Since the top "screws" down to lock into place, this piece is very difficult to get to line up with the hole in the cover to allow the mist to exit the unit. I have to mess with it quite a bit to get the parts to line up while I get the cover into place and it's quite a hassle.

This diffuser is cute, and my daughter liked it, but it was inconsistent in its operation. I would set it for the max time of 180 minutes at night when my daughter went to sleep, and the next day when I would check to refill it, sometimes it would have used a significant amount of the water/oil in it, other times, it looked like it had just used about 30 minutes of it. I was thinking maybe I had not selected the right time length, but over the months we have had it, this issue continued and I was double checking I had set it for the longest time. Also, the mist coming from it was not really that strong compared to higher quality diffusers I had. I know the mist isn't supposed to be as heavy as like a humidifier, just a light mist of oils broken down into microscopic particles, but it just seemed weak and the aroma of the EO was very faint, barely noticeable. It is probably better suited for a small room. I ended up purchasing a higher quality diffuser for my daughter's bedroom and will just use this in another room during the day.

I was very disappointed with this item. I read the questions and reviews, and when I saw that you don't have to use the light I thought it would be great! Unfortunately, this item is white and not opaque because of the light feature. When you turn the mist on, a small yellow light turns on next to the selection you've made for 30 min, 60 min etc. This would be fine if you are not planning on using it in a dark room at night while you are falling asleep. The yellow selection light makes the entire unit light up! It could easily be described as a night light. It was way too bright for me, it made the bedroom quite bright. It's frustrating because this seems to be one of the only units that lets you set it for 30 or 60 minutes, rather than until the water runs out. Overall I just had to weigh the annoyance of having to run the unit for 3-6 hours vs having a too bright room and I decided to return it.

This is a beautiful product. As far as when it's actually on, it works.

I'm not exactly sure what to think of this product, i like it though. I was expecting it to work better for what the price is.
The light, look, and the length of time didn't effect the rating. It lost one star because it's a pain to screw open and close and I'm afraid I'll splash water on the unit and the other star because I'm not so sure it's a humidifier, it hasn't done anything for my sinuses. This one works the same as my ZAQ diffuser, which is cheaper. Also didn't come with instructions so my original review included a complaint about how the unit doesn't stay on for very long, but after posting I went into the questions and found that there's actually a way to turn on the timer =.=
I kind of wish i went with a different unit.

Although, this is the smallest, most powerful diffuser I've ever come across at a great price, there were too many cons to keep it. Although the company seems very responsive, the problem lies with the design. Water drops spray out of the top of the diffuser like a volcano so you have to be mindful of placement as over time the area can get very wet. In addition, the beeping that other people have commented about is very loud and unnecessary. My wife was unable to overcome these design flaws and found the unit difficult to clean and noticed yellow staining inside the diffuser that would not come off so we returned it.

Having bought one of these a year ago, and loving it, I decided to purchase another. This one I don't love so much!When I try to take the top off to add water and oils, I have to pry it off! Sometimes I can edge my nails under to get it loose, other times I have to find something thin to wiggle under the edge to get the top off. Looks like the water chamber has been redesigned to be taller and it is locking in the top part of the cone. Frustrating to say the least.Other than that I like the diffuser.The on-light stays on and is a little bright in the night, I just place a small bottle or something in front of the light to cover it.

I am only giving this 3 stars for very specific reasons.First, I have only had these diffusers for a couple weeks now (I bought two)... and the words (mist and light, by their respective buttons) are already fading... One word is almost completely worn off already. Not sure why.Second, at first putting the top on and taking it off was easy... now it's become very difficult. There is a great deal of resistance when twisting the top.... And also when trying to pull it off of the unit. Plus, the two pieced top (which isn't meant to come apart), has come apart twice now when I've been taking the top off. A little too much frustration for my liking.Third, the material in general feels/seems cheap. And that's probably why the cost is so low.So... I at least have it three stars for it's its low cost (which it should be, for the reasons that I didn't give it 4 or 5 stars). Plus... the mist output is pretty good. As far as diffusing goes... It does the job well (so far).I have contacted the seller about my concerns, so I am hoping their customer service is as good as their mist output... And and not as crappy a the frustrations of putting the top on and taking it off.

Purchased this diffuser after reviewing others. Figured it had good user ratings, was pleased with what I had seen in an online review video, etc. After using it a few nights, this is what I think.Pros: Simple to operate; nice variance of light colors/good light output; comes with fill cup; nice steady vapor output.Cons: Lack of consistent run times has been the biggest issue (intermittent & constant). Have run it on intermittent at night, starting at same time with same amount of water, but one night it shut off before dawn & it still had water in it. The manufacturer also fails to list run times anywhere for this diffuser (not on the box, in the owner's info pamphlet, nowhere-and both my husband & I have searched). All it tells you is the 30-second intermittent run cycle, not how long a full tank will last on either setting. The loud beeps it makes when turning on/off & the bright glaring indicator lights are annoying.Overall, it's a nice entry-level device. There are quirks, but because this is in our room, I'm not too worried bc it serves its purpose. I would not, however, put this in our little one's room. Though a nice light, it's almost too bright to let little one sleep (if I ran the light). And as I prefer hers to run all night (we've been having sleeping issues & I run a calming oul blend in hers), the inconsistency in run time is a definite turn-off. Next diffuser will be purchased again from our local health food store (where I purchased little one's).Bottom line: It'll do the job, but wouldn't be my first choice.

I got this diffuser for my bedroom because it has an intermittent feature to mist 30 seconds on and 30 seconds off. This is perfect to keep it going through most of the night - about 5-6 hours. The continuous option only runs about 2.5 hours. Maximum capacity of this unit is 120 ml. It is fairly compact to sit on a nightstand, but the first time I used it I noticed the fine mist did settle on the wood around the diffuser. My other style diffuser doesn't do that. So, I recommend you watch for any moisture that may settle around your unit, especially if you have it sitting on wood that could get damaged. Another thing to note about this unit are the bright green and red power lights - green for the intermittent mist option and red for the continuous mist option. The power lights are way too bright lighting up the whole walking area by my side of the bed. It bothered me so much that I tried to cover up the green light with some black duck tape, but the glow lights up the plastic area that encompasses the button area and a little of the bottom. So, my tape just covers up the area where the words are written on the cover and that was enough for me. If you are bothered by any kind of light in your bedroom at night though, then I would not recommend this one. Hence my reduction of two stars.

I have only had the diffuser less than a week. The things I like about it the most is that when you turn it on the mist comes out strong. I like the fact that you also do not have to have the light on at all while diffusing at night. Taking the top off to put water in it is not smooth. Water often spills trying to put it back on because you have to line the dots up for it to snap shut. Also, I like having mine run all night. I have another diffuser that I have let run all night and the mist can still be seen even as the water gets low and then it shuts off when out of water. This diffuser doesn't seem to diffuse as much mist the longer it is on. It also, so far has not shut off on its own when diffusing a continues diffuse all night. When it is on the 30 second on/off diffuse method it has shut off when out of water. Over all I am not completely satisfied with it. I am still debating as to whether to keep it or not.

I have only had this unit for a touch over a year now, it keeps shutting off before the timer is up. Very disappointed, thought it would last a bit longer than a year.
It started out great, it would fill my whole bedroom, which is pretty good size. I would clean it out regularly. Though gradually the aroma scent has been getting less and less.
The thing I don't like about it, is I have arthritis in my hands and the top is pretty hard to twist off.

When I first purchased this air diffuser I LOVED it. It was simple to work, the instructions were easy to understand. It was simple and elegant looking in my home. I used it when my allergies were flaring up. It fit perfect on my bedside table. I used it in my boys room when they had a cold. The smells and the lights comforted them.

HOWEVER...this morning, not quite six months after I got it, i woke up to find water puddled all around it. I thought it was odd. So I refilled it and watched it. Over the course of a few hours all the water leaked out the bottom. I'm sorry when I purchase somethingike this I expect it to last more than six months!

I am the ONLY one that operated it or touched it. It was never dropped or I'll used so there is no reason it should have broken this quickly.

I would give this one star, but for the time it worked I loved it so hence the second star.

First of all, I will say that I love this Diffuser. I purchased it on 3/31. I have only used it about 10 times. Today I went to use fill it and it has begun leaking out of the back right where the Mist button is, about 1/2 of water I'm putting in is coming right back out at that spot. I can't figure out why, it's not been moved since I placed it when I opened it out of the box. I am of course now outside of the window where I can exchange it for another one through Amazon. It's a shame because I have enjoyed it with and without the light. I changed the colors and the Mist is visually soothing and relaxing not to mention the benefit of using essential oils. I'm sad that it's broken or something after only 10 uses. 2 Stars only because I feel I got a "bad one" otherwise without the leaking, I'd give it 5 stars.

Initially, this diffuser worked flawlessly- for all of three weeks. I had done a lot of research, followed all of the directions, even recommended it friends!! I was about to purchase a second one, since my husband asked for one for his side of the room. The kids would all come in my room to get a whiff of 'good smelling mist'. Everyone is very disappointed, and further more I wasted $40! $40 for three weeks of usage is quite steep.

I do hope that anyone who purchased this item on my recommendation didn't get a dud machine like I did.

The first three weeks the diffuser did everything the description implies. It was brilliant and worked better than I hoped! I was as pleased as punch with my purchase! Enter week 4 and one night the lights put on a very strange display- the colors were rotating through, and making up their own colors. Then the mist stopped altogether. I dried it all out, let it sit for a while, and tried it again. The lights work but the mister no longer does. Not even a trickle comes out, and the unit gets VERY hot.

I feel bad I recommended this to many friends, and I am glad I hadn't purchased a second one now.

I bought this product in February and was pretty satisfied with it up until about two weeks ago when water started leaking out of the diffuser when I had it on.

At first I thought I was putting too much water in it, but it wasn't. I don't think I did anything unreasonable to break this diffuser (I mean you leave it alone while it works.. it's hard to break it)

Now I have to put 4 layers of paper-towel underneath it if I want to use this product. :(

This WAS a good diffuser until it stopped working completely. Very upset. :(

This was working great at first. Now not so much. Disappointing because its really quiet and has a nice array of color on the lights and the ability to use with lights off. Just don't understand why its not working as well as when I first bought it. Cleaned it as directed but. . .

Of course I missed the return window by 3 days. I gave two stars because the colors of the lights are very pretty. As for the diffusion, it barely contains fragrance (as compared the other diffusers I have, using the same oils). Two days ago, it started becoming very difficult to remove the top in order to refill it, and then the piece in the lid that actually diffuses fell out yesterday. Very dissatisfied. Sorry I wasted the money I saved up to buy it.

We use this in the bedroom at night with lavender. It only reaches one side of the bed, and we have to use the intermittent setting for it to last all night.

I was really hoping that this diffuser had a heavier output. I watched a YouTube video which praised it but I did it have the same experience. I had previously purchased a Kumba 300 ml diffuser which I loved but it broke after a week. I bought the AromaSoft to replace it after good reviews but found that the output was inferior. I wound up purchaser a Sekway 300 ml which looks and works like my Kumba... So far so good but only a few days old

Purchased two of these units.. one in december to try it out.. and another a few weeks later because i was mostly happy with the 1st one. The 2nd unit arrived DOA/Non-Functional and had a defective power supply.So now I have to go thru repacking the defective unit returning and then repurchasing the replacement since apparently there is NO Option to simply have it replaced with a working/new one. Very frustrating.. time consuming.. and not all that certain I'll be replacing with same because of all the hassle.Also.. the way the top twists and locks on to these units could be better.. very smooth/slippery surface.. add in being tapered even more difficult to remove and install with limited grip. Biggest issue is reinstalling cover so as not to cause a spill.

We bought 3 of these, one for us and the other two as gifts. We are returning ALL 3! Beware these could catch fire!!!!!!!! We hardly used it since we haven't been home due to holidays. I may have used it twice. Keep an eye on this. The plug part melted and is black!! BEWARE BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Horrible unit. I hate this thing. Just after a month or so of use (including cleaning in between each use), the top is almost impossible to put back on the base (and screw) it on. It has a little twist to lock feature which I'm sure is useful for people who have kids... But its a "saftey feature" I wish it didn't have because now its damn near impossible to put back on.

A easy fix is using rubbing alcohol on the inside of the top housing, to insure nothing is "grabbing" as its trying to slide it.

But this thing gets 1/5 stars just because it turns on. But the locking feature is a piece of crap, and they need to redesign it.
I recommend "ZAQ Allay Essential Oil Diffuser" because you just set the top on the base, and its running. No lock, or twist.
Just set the top on the base, and its good! I have bought 4 of the ZAQ's and many co-workers have too...

I don't often leaves reviews, but felt compelled to do one for this product.

I was very disappointed with this purchase. This diffuser barely leaves an aroma of any type.
I use therapeutic grade oils, and even with adding 10 drops of lavender to the machine, I still can't smell anything, unless I put my nose directly into the mist. I've run this virtually non-stop while home, and no matter how long I run it, I am unable to smell the oils.

I did see the FAQ sheet that said to fill the water base only to the 80ml level, if that was an issue, which I've done repeatedly.

I have to admit that I feel misled and cheated. I will be asking for my money back on this.
Very very disappointing...

I was so excited to get this... Well lets just say that was very short lived I got this delivered on a Saturday and it worked great.. FOR ONE NIGHT!!!!!! The next morning it would not turn back on the light did how ever work?? When I got in contact with the company it was a mess and a ton of questions I sent a picture because the top was also broken and they said they would send me a new top part no problem. Well that would have been great it the rest of the unit had worked. So after some more questions of why it was not working?!?!.. They told me I could send it back and if they found a problem then they would send me a refund, but I would have to send it off pay for shipping and then wait for them to see if it was broken then get a new one? Wow seems like a big huge mess for what it is!! I was not able to use it long enough to see if it was worth the money or not, but for as long as it lasted ONE NIGHT I would have to say NO!!!! unless you want a pretty night light.....

I was super excited when it came in the mail. The oil it came with had spilled in the box leaving all the packaging with an oil stain/residue. The item itself appeared to be unaffected so I read the directions -- added water and oils, plugged it in, and...well, the lights worked. I couldn't get the timer to stay on. I referred back to the directions and looked at the "troubleshooting" section and tried the various remedies to no avail. I am super bummed about it. This bad boy will be going back tomorrow.

**UPDATE**Although experiencing problems with the diffuser, customer service has been very proactive. Within hours of posting the above review I was contacted in an effort to correct the problem. Definitely helps offset the bummer of the diffuser not working!

It's very cheep plastic .after using it for 3 days the top plastic from inside fell off and it's getting hard to even turn the top and close it.i am very disappointed.

Today, June 20th - 34 days after purchasing this item (and now unable to return it) the casing of this product is falling apart. The top sticks to the base and the secondary piece inside the cover has now also loosened from it. With all this being said, I feel cheated. It works great - but the casing is apparently subpar.

Product stopped working after 30 days, company does not offer any exchange or return after 30 days. The lid is hard to put on and take off, plug is underneath and not very convient. Will not. But this type of diffuser agian.

Worked great for 2 days and then stopped working. Received 2 emails asking how everything was, told them after 2 days it stopped working. Haven't heard from the company since.

I purchased this diffuser a while ago, but haven't used it but a few times. I would guess 10 times. It now leaks all over the place! It's not over-filled and I've used it the same way each time but now I have this leaking problem. I wouldn't suggest purchasing it.

While it worked it was great. But it broke after 2 months.
