Awesome
May 13, 2017
Great blower. This unit is replacing a handheld husqvarna 125B that wasn't quite doing the job with a very long driveway and large leaves. The difference between the two is night and day. Yes this blower is over twice the price of the handheld but it is very much worth it for long periods of use. There is so much more air volume it makes the job much easier.
Very nice Blower, powerful, runs well even after several years
December 10, 2016
I bought this leaf blower to replace and upgrade from a smaller handheld blower that was having trouble. The assembly is pretty easy, but it was a little difficult fitting the flexible tube onto the machine, but a little spray of WD-40 helped. I mixed up the proper oil/fuel mixture, filled it's tank, and it started in just a couple pulls, and continued to run perfectly until I had cleared all the leaves out of my yard and driveway. Way more powerful that the little handheld units, and less fatiguing as well, since the weight is carried on your back. It was almost fun blowing the leaves. It's been several years since I purchased this, and it still starts easily, and runs well. I haven't had to do any maintenance on it, other than running the gas tank dry after it's last use, to prevent gas from gumming the carb.
EXTENDED WARRANTY GUIDELINES!
March 21, 2016
Read below re: the EXTENDED WARRANTY!!Product works great! Seems heavier than I thought it would be, but once on board I didn’t notice the weight. Cleaning the beds under the oaks trees was the primary purpose of this purchase and after several years of raking and using a handheld blower I can assure you that this purchase was well worth it. There was no start guide on my machine (odd?), but I referred to the owner’s manual and it started up fine. I did not wear ear protection and it did not seem any louder than my mower, weed eater or handheld blower. I used silicone spray to help attach the tubes. In addition, I chose to use only two tubes rather than all three. Now, I knew when I made this purchase I could extend the warranty when using 3-cans of the Husqvarna premixed fuel. My mistake was that I DID NOT UNDERSTAND the warranty/purchase parameters. Both the machine and the Husqvarna fuel need to be on the SAME receipt. I ordered the blower on Amazon and purchased the fuel separately from my local Loews. Delivery of this blower, to my local Lowes, was a 2-week wait and Amazon Prime was 2-days. Same price minus 12 days and it was a no brainer. But, but, but….. I should have ordered the fuel from Amazon. So be aware of this if the extended warranty is important to you. I don’t anticipate problems, but the additional peace of mind would have been nice. The reality is that I’ll probably use the machine 20 hrs a year. Here is what the Husqvarna website says regarding the warranty extension:To Extend the Warranty by 1 Year to a Total of 3:The consumer will need to take only 2 steps: First, the consumer must purchase at least 6 bottles of Husqvarna brand 2-stroke oil regardless of size and/or type at the same time as the qualifying handheld product purchase and both purchases must be on the original product invoice/receipt. Second, the consumer must register their product online.*To Extend the Warranty by 2 Years to a Total of 4 years:The consumer will need to take only 2 steps: First, the consumer must purchase at least 96 oz of Husqvarna brand pre-mixed fuel at the same time as the qualifying handheld product purchase and both purchases must be on the original product invoice/receipt. Second, the consumer must register their product online.*For Multiple Units Purchased:Each qualifying handheld product purchased must have an accompanying amount of 2-stroke oil or pre-mix fuel added to the original receipt in order to qualify. For example, if a consumer purchases a 455 rancher chainsaw and a 125B handheld blower and would like to have them both qualify for a 4 year limited warranty, they will need to purchase at least 192 oz of premixed fuel (96 oz for the chainsaw and 96 oz for the handheld blower).
Minor negative points but overall a great machine!
November 25, 2015
The mating of the tube sections is a bit wonky but once assembled it works very well starting easily on the first or second pull. Another thing I wish was different is that it would be nice to have something on the frame that one could stand on while starting. Currently I catch one of the straps under my foot while trying to start it but I'd rather not be stepping on the belts as they will wear out faster over time. Other than that and getting it put together, running quieter and with less vibration than other blowers I've tried makes this a winner in my book!
Best blower I have ever owned (and I have owned many).
April 20, 2013
I purchased this because of the Husqvarna name (I already own a Husqvarna chainsaw and a Husqvarna Zero Turn Lawnmowe I am very happy with both) and the ratings on this model were good. I was a little leary at first because the 180 MPH rating on this was the same as some cheaper brands. I learned the very first time I used it, that rating don't mean squat, it is how much air it pushes. Having a bigger diameter tube makes that 180 mph wind much stronger then the cheaper brands using a smaller diameter tube to reach the 180 mph. This baby can push some air moving even wet leaves and small branches with no problem. When I first put it on my back I found it much heavier then the Homelite back pack blower, but I got use to the wieght real quick, I find it very comfortable to wear. This blower makes a unpleasant chore much easier and faster.Pros - 1) Easy to start 2) The option of setting the speed where ever you want and it stays there (much easier on the trigger finger) or you can use the trigger like other blowers it you want. 3) It is quieter then any other blower I have owned. 4) It has all the power I will ever need. 5) It has a bigger gas tank and uses less gas, I never have to refill the tank in the middle of a job.Cons - 1) This is my own fault, when you adust the speed control lever that makes it stay at one speed, I will sometimes push the lever all the way to get top speed and by mistake I will push it the oppisite way and this is how you shut it off. Once this goes that lever goes to the off posistion, no matter how fast you try to push it back the blower will shut off. There is no way to restart it until you unstrap it and remove it from your back (unless you have a buddy near by to pull start it for you while you are wearing it). 2) When running the blower set at a real low speed the motor runs a little rough. This is not a real big deal for me, I never run it at this low of a speed. All in all it is a great blower.
The right tool for the job
December 16, 2012
I placed my order late Wednesday evening and the blower was on my doorstep on Friday. It went together easily, only had to assemble the tubing, which fit together tightly (air tight). A little bit of lubricant (i used a silicon spray), helped the tubing to slide together easily. I added fuel that I had in my garage (nothing special, same stuff I use for my chainsaw and trimmer), pumped the primer 8 times, pulled the cord twice and it started right up and ran smooth. This is the first gas powered blower I have used so my only comparison is with handheld electrics. I think this blower is perfect for most homeowners. Professional results at a reasonable price.I live in the desert southwest, on a 1\3 acre city lot with decorative rock landscape in front and grass in the back. I have several large Mesquite trees, a Mulberry, Olianders, Texas sage and Yucas. The mesquites produce a lot of debris (small sticks, tiny leaves, needles and pods) that fall throughout the year into the rock landscape. This blower was able to dislodge and blow all of this debris from the rock landscape. It did blow the rock around a bit but I found that it was easy to minimize once you get the hang of it. Four hours of work turned into two with better results, so ya, I'm happy with this purchase. Its quieter than I expected, and fun to use. Only negative I can think of is that it won't bag for you, but none of them do.

The blower works great. It has a bigger nozzle that blows a larger surface area then the older model. The only con I found is the handle that operates the throttle is position further away so if your shorter person your arm has to extend to reach it.Great unit and would recommend it.
So far, very pleased with the purchase. This moves a lot of air!
December 28, 2015
It's a little early for a full review, because I expect to be using this for a long time.We used this for a limited cleanup this fall, because much of our yard is still under construction. As the house gets finished and the 3-acre yard gets seeded, we will put a lot more hours on it. First time, though, I was favorably impressed. Starting is easy. It's not the easiest thing to pick up and strap on... but that's mostly because the shoulder straps are stiff when new. Hopefully these will soften up making it easier to put on and wear. A backpack blower beats a hand-held any day.The assembly was straightforward, although some of the blower hose parts were extremely stiff and difficult to slide together.
Fantastic blower, especially with optional rectangular extension tube
November 12, 2014
Fantastic blower, especially with optional rectangular extension tube. Moves even wet leaves and compacted pine needles very well. It is quite heavy. I am short and weigh 145lbs. Need help to get it on and hip support doesn't work for me. Consequently, shoulders tire. However, despite this, was able to have 4 hour sessions. Seems to be good on fuel consumption. Starting is a little difficult in that starter chord seems to bind at times. Overall, I would definitely buy again. I had occasion to seek service when I was unable to start machine. Must have run it with choke closed as spark plug was badly fowled. Was resolved at MB Tractors in Tilton, NH,an authorized service center which I highly recommend for both small and large outdoor equipment They promptly attended to me and rendered no charge. Was my second visit there and the first was just as pleasant and helpful.
Shocked at how well this thing works!
November 20, 2013
I upgraded from a B&D electric blower. This blower doesn't have the speed of electric but that doesn't matter. This blower moves a ton of air and makes really quick work of my yard. I usually have to do about 4-5 cleanups each fall and I have already put this blower through the routine. I'm now able to do my lawn much faster than before.Things I like:Comfortable to wear for a long period of time. The waist belt makes this possible. I used a neighbors Echo back back blower and I got tired of carrying it pretty quickly. A huge plus is the lack of vibration in the grip and trigger. I don't know how they did it but it doesn't vibrate at all. It's easy to start.Things I don't like:The documentation that came with it is horrible. They need a quick start guide that has big photos and is in color. The manual is tiny and hard to read. The plastic blower tubes did not fit well together. I still can't get them to lock fully. They seem to be holding together without locking all the way.Overall great blower and you won't be disappointed.
Very satisfied
December 4, 2012
First, let me say that I rarely rate any product 5 starts. This one is pretty close, but it takes either perfection, or completely blowing away my expectations to get a top rating. That said, I would actually rate this blower somewhere between 4.5 and 4.8.Before I get into specific features, let me say a bit about what type of consumer should consider this product, and what competing products it is equivalent to. I've used both a Stihl BR420 and an Echo PB620, and the Husqvarna 350BT offers basically the same power and performance as these other two mid-range performers. Don't get too hung up on horsepower numbers, small variances in CFM, or MPH values. Even though the 350BT has less horsepower than the other two I mentioned, and even though it has a CFM value just slightly less than the other two, it really does hold its own against them.If you are the "average", homeowner with a half acre or less yard, then you would definitely be pleased with the 350BT, but you might be able to get away with a less expensive model. A lot of this will depend on the amount of leaves you need to move each season. I found the smallest Echo backpack blower to be adequate on an average yard.If you have a few acres of land, or less than an acre with excessive leaves, or even a small landscaping business, then the 350BT will probably work well for you. The only thing I wouldn't be sure about would be full-time 8-hour day usage -- maybe you need to step up to one of the big boys. But then again, if you need a big boy blower, you're probably not considering this blower anyway. For comparison, I have 7 acres, not all of which is wooded. On a typical Saturday I will spend several hours blowing leaves and loading them up onto a 6x12 high-side utility trailer. I'll pile the trailer up to overflowing after packing it down every time I throw a tarp-full of leaves onto it. I'll load this trailer up 3 to 4 times on the typical day. I repeat this about 4 times each leaf season. I have found the 350BT to be quite enough for what I do.Also, for comparison, a couple of years ago I bought a Stihl BR600 (the biggest blower on the market at the time). I found that blower to be annoying, unreliable, and not significantly more powerful than the 350BT. I can't explain this since the BR600 is what all the pro landscape companies use. I just don't see what they do in the Stihl, and my recommendation is to save your money. Also, if you are comparing strictly the power of different models, you need to look primarily at the CFM rating AT THE PIPE. Ignore any numbers given as "at the housing", as those are meaningless. Next, I suggest you multiply the CFM rating times the MPH value to get a "total power" number. Do this for each model you are considering to see how they stack up. From my own experience, differences of up to ten percent are pretty much meaningless. Now, as for the 350BT itself, I'm very pleased. It generally starts up on the 2nd pull regardless of whether it is hot or cold. When you first put it on it has some fairly heavy vibration to it, but it smooths out as you start using it, and vibration is no problem thereafter. The power is excellent, but you have to know how to use it. As with other pro blowers I've used, you don't point the tube too close to the ground--you have to point it out 2 or 3 feet away from you. The up-close, right-at-your-feet power isn't there. But, pointing the tube outward a bit causes the power to really show up in spades. I can literally stand on one side of the street and blow leaves all the way over to the other side of the street. In fact, you have to learn not to walk around too much because you are wasting your effort. The most effective use of this blower is to stand in one place, and to start about two feet away from you, then slowly lift the tube until you blow a huge pile of leaves several feet away. Then, shift the tube a little to the side and repeat. You can stay in place for a while, then move on after you've exceeded the range of the blower in every direction.I also used the blower to clean out some gutters than had collected junk for over a year. There was two to three inches of wet, sludgy gook and leaves clogging up the gutters. I was able to blow it all out with the 350BT. I think that says as much about the power as anything. The blower does NOT require premium fuel, and runs just fine without it. I highly recommend that you spend a little extra money and use a synthetic oil in the fuel mix. Don't forget to mix it at 50:1 and not 40:1. The fuel tank is fairly large, and you can get between 1 and 2 hours on a tank, depending on conditions. One of the things I found nice about this blower that was not as obvious on the Echo or Stihl models is that it is just as happy to run at very low speeds as it is at full throttle. You can slow it down to an idle for delicate work, put it on mid-speed for more power, or run it full blast for the biggest jobs. The only reason I didn't rate this blower with 5 stars has to do with the tubes. First, it is very difficult to assemble the blower tubes. There is a little note at the end of the tube assembly instructions that says to use some lubricant to make it easier. Well, you don't read that until you've already struggled trying to put the tubes together. I can maybe forgive that. But, the full tube assembly is very long, and just a little awkward to use because of the length. You can take out one or more of the 4 sections, which makes it less awkward to use, but I don't think it works quite as well with a section missing. So, the 350BT just barely misses being perfect.Last of all, I have to say that I think there is no other value as good as the 350BT on the market. Echo has stopped making the PB620 (a MAJOR mistake), and the Stihl and more other brands are around a hundred dollars more. I couldn't believe how cheaply this model was selling. And finally a word about Husqvarna. For those who don't know, Husqvarna is a huge company in Europe. It is like what GE is in America--they do everything. Unfortunately, we only see their small engine equipment here in the States. And, even more unfortunately, Husqvarna has deals with other companies to manufacture their lower-end products. So, they're good reputation has been polluted bad some lower quality products. However, if you buy the mid range and high range Husqvarna products, generally speaking you are getting some of the best products on the market. I have a high-end Husqvarna trimmer that I've owned for about 6 or 7 years. It has been a tremendous performer over the years. I've also owned two Husqvarna chainsaws. I did fall victim to the aforementioned product cheapening when I bought a Husqvarna riding mower 7 years ago. It starting give trouble last year and I finally had to park it this year and buy a new one. It was manufactured by American Yard Products, and not by Husqvarna. I was very disappointed to only get 7 years out of the mower. In summary, I would recommend the Husqvarna 350BT to anyone looking for a good backpack blower.

Ethanol in gasoline kills these machines quickly
April 22, 2016
Frustrated... As an owner of two Husky saws and quite pleased with them I am disappointed with the quality of the 350.... It performED amazingly until it stopped running. Turns out, unlike the saws, fuel with ethanol KILLS these machines. $150 carb repair, not covered under warranty as its a fuel issue. I feel responsible, but not fully.... There should be warnings the size of the empire state building on the machine and owners manual not to use fuel with any amount of ethanol.... Why I dont have a problems with the Husky saws that are 5 and 10 years old using the EXACT same fuel that killed the blower in 2 months baffles me....

I have used it twice since delivery. Stalls with choke closed. Feels underpowered using full open. Have to stick with 3 stars since will have to take for service during the time I need it the most. Easy assembly. Fuel primer location a bit inconvenient.

Was a bit disappointed have only used it for a few months and already had issues. The tube cracked and had to duck tape it. Keep in mind I'm careful with my tools. Also had some issues starting and had to take it in for service after only having it for 3-4 months.
Good blower, but may be stronger choices?
October 22, 2012
Have previously had handheld gas blowers (a Makita 4cycle, and a Stihl BG55). Liked both, but both were stolen. So this is my 3rd try. Had decided to forgo the convenience of a handheld for a backpack this time since the handhelds - even the lighter ones - get tiresome to use when the leaves really start falling. The good: - Starts easily (sometimes a bit finicky on a warm start if you accidentally let it run dry - even with the primer). - Seems well made (nothing missing that justifies paying a higher price for equal models of Stihl/Kawasaki/Shindaiwa) - Good vibration isolation. - Seems quiet for a 2-cycle. Probably not like the Makita, but it's theoretically more powerful. - Competitively priced (when I bought it this summer). The not as good: - The throttle grip tends to slip position, despite all the bolts being tight, etc. The only flaw in quality I can find so far. - Power? In real terms (actually blowing leaves), it's not much more effective than my old BG55. I may have a weak example of this model, or maybe had an unusually strong BG55, but I'm not overwhelmed by the power of this blower. It's not a true side by side, but I know that the pile of dry leaves that stopped this blower is about the same size as the one for my old handheld. So a small disappointment there - it doesn't make an unpleasant fall chore much faster. - For a new blower - even two stroke - mine's a little smoky. I expected this, and it doesn't envelope you in a blue 2-cycle fog, it's just more than I expected from a new blower. The entry level Stihl I had ran clean for nearly 2 years before it started to degrade.I'm sure this blower will serve me well for several years, and I'm not dissatisfied, but I would want to evaluate other options if I needed to look again soon.

This product back pack did not hold up for 6 months. It gets hot it shuts off.
Disappointed in the quality of the product.
November 27, 2016
It has great power but it started falling apart as soon as I used it. The exhaust pipes won't stay on, so every 2-3 minutes they fall off and the piece that holds the controls on fell off at some point so then I had to hold the control handle in my left hand and control the pipes with my right, which basically makes it no better than my $50 blower. I'm super frustrated with this product after spending $319 on it. I expected much more.
Not strong

Poor engine quality
September 2, 2017
Purchase unit 2.5 years ago.Have experienced a lot of problems with motor (will not run at greater than 50% speed). Always use ethanol free gas and take care of my equipment.Have replaced air filter, gas filter, spark plug, carb, and made sure spark arrestor not fouled. Still not able to run full speed. Google this model and this problem before buying. Pretty wide spread.Faced with a big bill taking unit to small engine repair shop or buying another new unit.Probably will just buy a better brand. No more Husqvarna products for me!
Broken Clamp for Throttle Assembly
May 6, 2017
Very concerned about the quality of this blower based on the very flimsy clamp that holds the throttle assembly to the blower tube. It cracked in half as I was trying to assemble it. I hope this isn't indicative of the overall quality of the machine.
Worst Amazon purchase ever. NEVER purchase a gas motor on Amazon!
December 6, 2016
The title says it all. I've been a prime member for 10 years and have bought hundreds of items on Amazon. This is by far the worst experience I ever had. The item, a Husqvarna BT350 backpack blower, arrived quickly and well-packaged. After I put it together, it started once and then pretty much never ran again - over a two week period, we got it to start maybe three more times. We had premium fuel with Husqvarna mix, we checked the spark and even changed the spark plug, but nothing. Several people wore their arms out pulling the starter rope over and over. Anyway, as others have noted, you cannot return a gas-powered tool to Amazon! I did not know this, or I would never have bought this from them. I eventually went to Lowe's and bought a Husqvarna BT150 (almost identical to the 350 with different sized blower tube), which has started with one pull every time. Clearly the BT350 I got is a lemon, but if you purchase a lemon from Amazon, you can't return it - not if it has a gas motor.
Cheap quality plastic - broken out of the box
October 17, 2015
Broken elbow joint right out of box. Very cheap material
Designed to run only if everything is just right.
September 3, 2015
This would be a great product, but a common problem is that these machines are tuned too lean at the factory. If you search the web for "husqvarna leaf blower carb adjustment" you will see that they do this to pass EPA emission standards. Further, you cannot tune the machine yourself because they require a special tool to make the adjustment. They claim you can get a free adjustment from an authorized dealer within a month of purchase. I was able to get acceptable performance if I waited a few minutes for the machine to warm up but over time no amount of warm-up would allow the machine to run. Maybe the refineries switched to a summer blend? I plan to cut slots into the screws with a Dremel and blame the company if I "screw" something up.
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT
August 12, 2015
I bought this at Christmas for my husband but he did not open it until this summer. On the very first use, the hose kept detaching from the base. He kept trying to tighten the connection and then it broke. It has been too long to return it and I am very disappointed in this product. All the reviews I read were good before I purchased. He has to try and rig something to make the blower stay together. I would not recommend!
