Great Camera .
Exactly what I was looking for
September 28, 2017
I wanted a small camera to take everyday pictures with that would fit in my purse. I wasn't happy with my low quality iPhone 5 pics - this is a great quality photo for the price. I'll include two pics - one taken with the camera and one taken with my iPhone. Same lighting
enjoying the camera. a bit slow on delivery.

October 24, 2014
I bought the camera back in August specifically for a concert I was going to, and I definitely wasn't disappointed! I had to leave the flash on throughout the concert, just because of the light changes and everything. The zoom/digital zoom are amazing! I was on the floor semi-close to the stage and with the zooms, I was able to take pictures that made it look like I was almost right beside the stage! That and with it being a reasonable price, I couldn't say no!
A good snapshot device for its price...
August 28, 2014
I am an amateur photographer and own three DSLR cameras with a selection of lenses. However that collection does not eliminate the need for a handy item for just daily needs. I keep this one especially in my car's glove box as a reserve for occasions which require something better than my cell phone camera. For that purpose it meets my expectations and even exceeds it. Yet, this is still a snap shot device with a relatively low price tag and therefore a DSLR level quality (like background blurring, high shutter speed, high level of low light performance etc.)should not be expected.Pros:-Lightweight slim and stylish design: It can fit in small spaces and look and feel like a high quality item.-USB charging ability: That is one of the selling points for me. I keep it in my car and I don't want to run out of power any time or go through the hassle of removing the battery and charging it separately ,which requires carrying the charging adapter all the time and also the ability to plug in that adapter. Instead. all I do is to connect it to my 12V car USB charger and it pretty quickly accumulates good amount of charge level... It comes with a wall adapter (5V 0.5A) which connects to a detachable USB cable (so you can use the cable and attach it to any USB charger). But be careful about the USB cable. The standard USB-micro B cable that charges most mobile devices do not work for this type. If you need a replacement or an extra you need to buy a USB-UC E6 cable.-Easy menu mode: Practicality should be the main focus in a snapshot device and even my grandfather could get through this menu. One of the most user-friendly interfaces I have seen so far.-Panoramic shoot ability: That was a surprise for me. I had not read the product description in detail before buying and that was such a handy function. I used to take panoramic photos by taking tens of photos with my DSLR and stiching them with a software which was both difficult and time consuming. This function does it instantly and produces comparable quality photos.-5X optical zoom: When it comes to zooming, in photographic terms, the less is often more. The best lenses even come with no zoom at all. However for a practical item like this, zoom is essential and 5X is a good range for the optical zoom (it is also critical that you compare the optical zoom capacities of devices and not the digital zoom before making a judgement.)-Image quality: As I said above, it does not match the quality of a DSLR and I don't care about the high pixel size either. For cameras with small sensor sizes like snapshots, it is actually better to get a low MP device for sharper images, but this one not bad at all especially in daylight. HD Video quality is also good but again depends on the light...-Price: the $78 price tag as of august 2014 makes it one of the most affordable snapshot cameras in the market. You can get better deals from time to time but this is quite appealing too.Cons:-Low light performance: Again, I want to stress that I am not expecting professional quality from this device, but I found the low light performance moderate at best. The noise was somewhat irritating even with flash.-Slow shutter speed: It has a continuous shooting mode which is supposed to take multiple frames in a short time as long as the shutter button is depressed. However this device has a long long refractory period between shoots that it is not even worth bothering with that mode. You need to decrease the image quality 3 steps to be able to notice some multiple shooting effect and that is not worth it. So if you wish to take a photo of a flying bird or a running person or a passing by car, you don't have much choice to take multiple photos and decide later.-Zoom buttons: I like the zoom to be a ring style beneath the shutter button but this is like a plus and minus at the back which is not very convenient.-No optical viewfinder: This is not a problem for this model only. Most recent cameras sacrifice from an optical viewfinder and all you get is a digital image on the screen to help you adjust your photo before taking it. First of all it does not give the sense of taking a photo but more importantly digital screen viewfinder drains battery and also performs bad in bright light.-Video focusing sound: While recording video of a closely located object (where there is a constant need to re-adjust autofocusing) and if the surrounding is silent, you can hear the sound of focus adjustments in your recording. But as I said that is only obvious in full silence and for short distance recordings.Overall you like it or not depends on your expectations. For me it is a handy and adequately performing device with quite useful features. I am happy with this purchase
Great camera, had an issue but Amazon's great customer service solved it painlessly.
August 6, 2014
I wasn't expecting much from this, I only wanted a camera that was a) cheap and b) would provide a better quality image than the average smart phone camera. But the image quality is truly amazing. I will upload a few customer images of my hiking trip as an example. An SD card is absolutely necessary, the internal storage can only hold 3 maximum quality images.I did have one problem with the camera, the battery that came with it refused to take a charge. Amazon made up for this by offering me a 40% refund to buy a new battery, and the battery was much cheaper than the $31 refund I got so this issue wasn't even reason enough to take a star off. Overall great camera and great customer service from Amazon.I've only owned this for a month and only used it for 2 days for a hiking trip so I can't speak on long term survival of this camera. I will update my review if I have any other issues. Be sure to check for my customer images if you want an idea of the maximum image quality.

Great upgrade! Read/Write speed a little slow in my Sony A6300
September 18, 2017
A little pricey when I got it, but it was a big step up from by 2gb and 4gb lexar cards. I use this in my Sony A6300 and it works great. There is a little bit of lag when saving after a long video, or a burst of photos that you need to keep in mind. You can keep shooting, but if you need to review the images, you need to wait for the card to finish writing. Next time I need an upgrade, I will buy one that has a faster read/write speed.
Works fine
April 14, 2017
I bought this as extra memory to hold my movies for a laptop I bought with a limited size flash memory hard drive. So far it seems to work fine. I was able to copy my movies over and they seem to play well from this disk. I was fairly happy with the cost of this disk and its performance as extra storage.
SanDisk Has Been Good To Me - Expect This To Be The Same - So Far It Is
March 30, 2017
Using this in my Brinno time lapse camera.... has been outside in a blizzard (inside a housing) ... indoors... and everywhere in between and has worked perfectly. SanDisk has been a product that I have never had a problem with over many years of using them... expect this will be the same and so far... so good.
Works great in my Nintendo 2DS
August 17, 2016
I got this to go in my Nintendo 2DS. It did not even require any formatting as it was already formatted correctly. Just had to move the files from the old card over and viola, ready to go!Much faster than the class 4 card that came with the system as well!
Do you know what you're looking for in an SD card?
March 26, 2016
Absolutely a great buy. For the money I am very satisfied with my purchase. I think I may share something that a lot of people may not be aware of, since I have informed many family and friends and they said they we unaware and glad I had told them. When shopping for this type of memory card, there are a couple of things on the card to look for. The obvious one being the size of the card, this one being 32gb for instance. It's also extremely useful to know that the very small number with a circle around it is of importance too. This one has a 10 with a circle around it. These cards will have 1-10 on it. The significance is Minimum Serial Data Writing Speed, meaning Class 10 cards have a minimum transfer rate of 10 MB/s. Your card may also display a U with either a I or II in it, signifying the ultra high speed bus (UHS). Now apply this to what you're using this particular card for. I bought it for my trail camera. A class 10 card is used for full HD (1080p) video recording and consecutive recording of HD stills. UHS Class 1 cards are used for real-time broadcasts and recording large HD video files. Other cards would have worked for my trail cam but this one was ideal, and affordable.
An upgrade in READ speed, write speeds vary
October 3, 2015
The SanDisk Ultra 80MB/s is a new card that replaces the Ultra 40MB/s. The 80MB/s is the read speed only. SanDisk refers to the write speed as Class 10, which means the card maintains at least 10MB/s continuous write, but does not state a maximum write speed. I tested the following Ultra 80MB/s cards: (2) 32GB, 64GB and 128GB and compare with the previous Ultra 40MB/s cards. I use CrystalDiskMark benchmark (5 passes, 1GB random data) and USB 3.0 card reader.SanDisk Ultra 80MB/s (new version, September 2015) 32GB (1) Read: 94.2 MB/s Write: 43.0 MB/s 32GB (2) Read: 97.7 MB/s Write: 20.9 MB/s 64GB Read: 82.4 MB/s Write: 19.1 MB/s128GB Read: 97.7 MB/s Write: 38.5 MB/sSanDisk Ultra 40MB/s (old version, 2014-2015)32GB Read: 47.8 MB/s Write: 19.9 MB/s64GB Read: 47.8 MB/s Write: 16.2 MB/sREAD Speed: Ultra 80MB/s cards exceed 80MB/s read speed and are much faster than the old version. This allows fast downloads from the card to your computer when used with a USB 3.0 card reader. Using USB 2.0 it limits the speed to about 35MB/s.WRITE Speed: Benchmarks can be deceiving! The benchmarks show a big difference in write speed between cards. One 32GB card measured 43MB/s but one from a different source was 20.9MB/s. When writing actual files the write speed varies during transfer. The 128GB card benchmark was 38.5MB/s write, but transferring a large file I see a range between 16-24MB/s throughout the transfer. Only the faster 32GB card was able to maintain above 40MB/s write speed for the duration. There was also a big difference in 512K random write performance between cards (~1MB/s vs 20-24MB/s).Write speed of 15-20MB/s seems to be typical of Ultra cards. They are good for general photography, but not fast enough for extended continuous shooting. Once you hit the buffer limit in the camera it can become very sluggish if the write speed is not high enough. If you only take one shot at a time the write speed speed should be sufficient.I am tempted to remove a star because of the variance between cards, but all cards exceeded their speed ratings. The improved READ speed over the previous version is a benefit. Actual write speed may not be much better than the older cards. You might get an extra fast sample, but do not buy this card expecting outstanding write performance!

Good price for a good-enough camera
September 23, 2017
This camera is good for the purpose that I want it for. It is compact, easy to set up and use. There are a variety of customized settings that can be easily changed. The lens has definite limitations - there is less resolution than on my other cameras of the same type. Not so good for close-ups. It was a reasonable price for small general utility camera. I'm satisfied.

Sony Camera
January 24, 2016
This camera works reasonably well. And does video also. Lots of long awkward pauses when taking several pictures in succession. After pressing the button to snap a picture. Not exactly a rapid fire type of camera, but it gets the job done, slowly. The images are very nice. I had that problem with another digital camera brand. I like the rechargeable lithium battery. Buying batteries all the time is no fun.

Cheaply made but still solid and worth the price. I've never had a problem with Sony products and I can add this one to the list. Suits my minimal needs.
Very good device, at a great price.
February 26, 2015
For someone who is not seeking a sophisticated camera, this camera is a very good choice at a very, very good price. 20.1 MP for less than $ 70 in a compact design. I'm not complaining (except for the audio from videos in HD, is mono, not stereo). I bought it from Venezuela.

Works with t2i, NOT t1i
June 13, 2017
Works well in my Canon Rebel t2i. Had purchased for my Dad prior to his leaving on an 8 week vacation and this card is NOT compatible with the Rebel t1i, so I kept this card for myself and gave him a 32gb card I had been using.
Good card, a little slow in my camera
June 11, 2017
Very good. Put about 1000 photos on 1 card and could have taken 3-4 times as many. A little slow, but tolerable. Took a few seconds before next photo was ready to go. I guess it could be my camera, not the card...
Could have done better price-wise if I had more time to shop
May 13, 2017
Could have done better price-wise if I had more time to shop. I have had good luck with Sandisk. Replaces a Samsung 64 GB SDXC card (designed in Korea, made in China) card I had that crapped out. Not going to buy that brand again. Overall, I am happy with the Sandisk, and I definitely recommend it.

Okay, but not great. For the cost of this camera and the specs it listed, I expected a better produce. The camera itself feels cheaply made and the quality of the pictures were average. It was also difficult to take pictures without getting blurry shots.

Video Recording Is Not Optimal
April 4, 2017
I bought the Cybershot model DSC-W230 many years ago. It is still going strong, although it developed lens dust/spots, which isn't unheard of for cameras. I bought the DSCW800 because I use these cameras for work, and worried the older one would give up, and wanted to have a replacement before I needed it.Although this newer model has some advantages, one disadvantage is that the W800 has a difficult time focusing when recording in video mode, something the W230 never has a problem with. It doesn't matter what one is taking a video of, and under what light conditions. It just doesn't want to stay in focus very well. Eventually it will focus, but even if the camera is in a static position, it will go in and out of focus. It took a long time from order to actually receiving it, which I didn't mind because I really like Sony products, but am disappointed that focusing and staying in focus is really makes it undesirable for taking video. Takes great photos though.

No Jewel Case - Be sure to order them separately when you order this!
August 18, 2017
I was stunned when I received this. There is no jewel case to protect the card. I can't really use it until I purchase one. I did do a test photo and it seems fine. Upon checking various stores I realized this is common today, but it was my first experience. Be sure to order jewel cases when you place your order for these cards. How cheap can companies get????

March 19, 2017
Im giving it 3 stars because its not a terrible camera but you get what you pay for. I bought it because i wanted to record more videos, take pictures but I'm always running out of battery and memory on my iPhone so this cheap camera seemed like a good option. The pictures i took didn't come out well, Its hard to go from iPhone quality to this. Also whenever you take a pictures it takes about 2 seconds to process which gets irritating because sometimes an object is moving and you might miss it because the camera is slow. Again if you are used to the iPhone camera but looking for something like that quality but in a digital camera this is not the one for you. I will say that the battery on this is great, it only takes about an hour to fully charged, I was impressed. I returned the item, its been about a month at this time and i still have not received a refund.

January 12, 2016
I read on an article that this is a good camera. Nope. I bought this camera for my trip to Thailand but it takes such bad pictures to the point where I just leave it behind. I ended up using my phone because it takes much better picture. Any slight movement when taking the picture of result in a lifetime of missed memories because the picture will come out very blurry. Such an awful camera. I am never going to buy a cheap camera again. I guess I could give this to some or donate it.
Skip, unless giving to a young child about 7+.
November 3, 2015
You get what you pay for. Although this is a 20.1 mp camera the pictures are blurry. I bought this camera because I needed a simple camera to take pictures to use as 3d textures. I should have heeded the warnings of the other reviews. It is good for a young child about 7+ that has graduated from the Fisher Price and Vtech cameras. Nothing more though. Not for serious photos.
Pictures aren't as good as a Smartphone camera
March 13, 2015
Pros: Tiny and lightCons: Screen is terrible so it's impossible to see what kind of picture you're taking...pictures are always blurry, and are always over exposed. It's such a great price...and I was really taken by the fact that it's 20 mega pixels, but the quality of the pictures isn't worth anywhere near the cost of the camera. The pictures that my Note 3 takes a far superior...which I definitely didn't expect.
I am disappointed with the product
January 3, 2015
Although this item had several strong complimentary reviews, I found the photo lense to be fuzzy when viewing compared to iPhone or Samsung phone cameras. I am disappointed with the product. The flash feature is also very delayed, which makes picture taking slow. I don't recommend this camera. You will be better off to spend more and get a better quality experience.

A very slow memory card if you own a good camera. But it's OK for crappy cameras if you like to do low resolution video.
December 31, 2016
It is a slow memory card, too slow for good quality cameras. I already knew that, but I still bought it because I am giving to it a totally different use: I am using this card to store a backup of the "best pictures of the day" every day during a very long backpacking trip. Every few weeks I send the memory card via traditional mail to my family at home in order to have a safe backup in case someone steals my backpack.
Possibly Faulty Chip Received--Reviewed Anyways
December 27, 2016
I likely received a faulty chip, but here's my chip's tale:It was inserted into a Nikon D3300. The chip has gone through less than 5 powering on/off cycles with less than 150 photographs shot and written onto the card. I usually wait a few minutes before removing the chip from said camera after powering the latter off.The chip was inside the camera, which was enclosed in the AmazonBasics Backpack for SLR/DSLR Cameras when it went through airport security and x-ray a maximum of 4 times. When I got home and inserted it into my PC it said it needed formatting. I tried both quick format and the painstakingly long plain format process, both of which failed. When inserted back into the D3300 I received an error message about the card's defectiveness.I will order another one and give it a second chance.
broken lock switch
November 29, 2016
I have always had great success with using products by SanDisk. Unfortunately this one arrived broken. For some reason the lock slide lever on the side must have been faulty and when this memory card was placed in my camera it would come up with a message saying that it was "locked" I obviously moved the slide lever up and down and tried in each position but every attempt was unsuccessful. Thankfully Amazon's customer service is great and they sent out a replacement that will arrive within two days.
It slows down with use, no idea why
October 5, 2016
Used a 32 and a 64 gb for professional work, for some reason, almost after the same amount of use, they both slowed down. At the beginning I was able to record video with a Canon 6d, now the buffer gets full in 1 minute of recording. Feeling the same slowness with pictures as well, buffer fills up easy and camera doesn't click anymore. I format after each job. I will try to format in other way, maybe with the laptop. Will contact customer support. If you know how to solve this please feel free to comment..

Poor resolution, poor image quality
October 6, 2017
You get what you pay for. The focus during video would constantly go in and out, even without a moving subject or moving the camera. Poor resolution, poor image quality. Some of these I assumed, i realized i was buying a cheap camera to be used as a second camera, an "in the pocket" type. But, its such poor quality with images, especially video, I would hate to rely on this to capture any type of meaningful image. I only other Sony products without complaint, I can't see how they let this out to the public.
