Excellent camera. Takes nice clear pictures, even in low light. It ha a nice range of modes. Very satisfied with this purchase.

The camera is like brand new. The only issue is that it didn't come with the owners manual. Not sure of all the different things the camera will do. Other then that it was a good deal.

This was our second camera by a different supplier. First time the camera didn't work. This one arrived on time as the previous one, well packaged and works. Bought it for my daughter for Christmas who is doing photography for school and had read good things about this camera. So far so good. This time round its working as it should. She seems to be loving it.

Girlfriend seems super happy with it so far. Will update in month or so. Came with 3 inch tripod and larger one

i havent used a camera since the 70's when i had one of the first mamaya sekor cameras for personal use 35 mm. This is so easy to use and i dont even mind that it doesnt have wifi. it is so easy to upload to my computer. I still however can not figure out how to get the strap on the lens case if someone could help me. Great value for a starter camera or even a semi pro.

I bought this camera and showed it to a friend and he wanted one also. It takes very good pictures and has a lot of options for different scenarios. I would recommend this package to anyone. So may accessories for the price. All of the accessories fit in the camera bag that comes with. I know that this is not a "professional" camera but as a tourist for the money it is a very good deal.

still learning but so far I am happy with it. It sure takes better pictures than my phone.

A bit slow on the auto focus.

Camera took very good pictures.and had good redoliution at long distances. The camera is easy to use. It is a good entry level camera

This was bought as a gift for my son's 15th birthday. He requested a "real" camera as opposed to a pocket sizes point and click. I took it on a test drive yesterday before sending it to him. Drawbacks: no viewfinder, which I prefer to have, view screen no adjustable. Pro: great shots, easy to use, good selection for a novice getting used to choosing settings and scenes. Pictures mostly came out very well and I'm more than willing to take the hit on the few that didn't. I suspect he will be quite pleased.

I really like this camera but it does have a few drawbacks that keep it from being a 5.Plus - if you're familiar with cameras, then this is one you can take out of the box and start using. There are more things it can do than you will initially intuit, but it's usable without knowing all the features. It isn't too heavy or awkward; as someone with arthritis in all my joints, that makes a difference on my hands, elbows, and shoulders. It zooms and pulls back fairly well/quickly and I don't find it loud or too slow, albeit I'm not trying to take action or sporting shots. The quality of picture is excellent. I make my own prints and greeting cards and have received many compliments on the photos I'm able to get with this camera (keep in mind, these are hobbies, not a livelihood - this isn't professional quality).Minus - as others have mentioned, this camera struggles to focus 'in the middle' of it's zoom capacity. I also find it doesn't always do well at it's full zoom and will readjust itself before getting the shot, which can be frustrating and time consuming. My biggest complaint though would have to be it's poor performance with night/low light photography. In fact, it is for this final reason that I am now looking for a low end SLR that will allow me to take night and macro shots.For ordinary use, particularly for family and home pictures, I am very happy with this camera. It does well with landscape and portrait shots in normal lighting conditions and I've taken some really lovely photos with this camera; the biggest drawback for me is not being able to take pictures of a night sky or in low light conditions (minus flash).

I bought this camera a month ago and I have not had any problems with it. Is a really good quality for the price but I thought that the photos without zoom were better

Works great for a low end camera.

it's a perfect camera for my son who is a budding photographer. He was able to take a photo of the moon and you can clearly see the craters. The zoom on close up images are crystal clear too.

Received everything in pics but sometimes when I turn it on it says the batteries are low even when I put new ones in so I have to restart it again to get it to work.

Works really good if you want to take normal pictures but with high quality. It is not that heavy. Sometimes it is hard to focus animals in their natural environment and get a perfect picture, you need to be changing modes in order to get a good picture. But so far so good

I am very pleased with my purchase of this Sony camera. It is very simple to operate and easy to carry. The pictures are almost professional. I will advise anyone to buy this camera without fear. Thanks for all the other accessories that come with the camera.

I wish that people had written a full review before I bought this camera, so I could have been a bit more prepared. Let me just say first that I love this camera, but there are some good and bad sides to everything, I suppose, so I am going to list them since the only other five reviews have not touched on anything but how great the camera is for them.Pros: Comes with everything you need, there is no guess work!!!!Has a wonderful zoom on it. I got this camera just in time to capture my son in football practice, and it felt like I was really standing next to him. I could even use the LCD to zoom in and watch, even if I wasn't taking pictures of him.The instructions for the camera are actually in the box, you don't have to read them online.Very easy installation of the software, that is all online, and even compatible with Windows 8.Tons of wonderful features for an amateur photographer to feel like they know what they are doing (namely ME!!!) It is easy to find all of these features and start playing around with them so that you are familiar with them fairly quickly.Cons: The weight of the camera is all lens, so it is very front heavy. The rest of the camera is plastic.The flash has to manually be popped up with a small button before even the auto flash will work. If you are anything like me, you might forget that when you really need it.The lens cap does not fit very securely. It fell off while I was carrying the camera in it's case and I didn't know it.The screen protectors don't stick very well. I put mine on there, fairly easy after you cut it, fit it to the screen, especially if you have other devices that you protect. Mine fell off once I set the camera back down on the counter. I didn't even get a chance to carry it around with the protector on (this is not a no sell for me, I have never protected the screens on any of my cameras, and have never scratched any of them).I hope this review really helps someone that was doing research like I was.

It came in an okay period of time /I did pay 2 day shipping/ and it came in its original packaging. The only draw back is that it doesn't include all original components like it claims to do. My was missing the strap, usb cable and the battery packs which the box had crossed off with sharpie. I would suggest just buying it off Wal-Mart using this add to price match because at least you do get all original things included and dont have to worry if it'll work or not.

Good image quality, but with poor ajustements

Great camera for starters. Take low quality/ mid quility pictures. Battery life is good, size of the camera is good and has a variety of settings. Not for someone who is looking for action shots

Pleased with the camera but the tripod that is shown is not the tripod that was delivered. The one that was delivered was 3 inches tall, a little spring thing.

The camera is great, but the stand is smaller than I thought it would be and the rechargeable batteries i got did not work.

The focus doesn't work when taking a photo in zoom. it goes blurry & Sony nor the manual are of any help.

Flash did not work. Had to return it

Incredibly disappointed in this camera. I bought this one to replace my Sony CyberShot G (that I've had for many years) because it is getting worn and the mechanics are starting to fail. This camera is the newer model of it so I was hoping for similar, if not hopefully better, quality. This is not the case. The resolution for my pictures are average, and I feel like my iPhone 6 can take better quality photos. I am familiar with the settings on these cameras so I did tinker with the different modes, but none of them lived up to my expectations.If this is your first camera and you have nothing to compare it to, I think that you will find it very nice, but If you are looking to upgrade, do not buy this camera. I returned it very soon after it arrived and I am looking into a new camera now. Two stars because it is still a decent camera for those that aren't looking for anything too extravagant.

Took good pictures and videos for 2 weeks then would not work. Gave error message over and over again "turn camera off and on again" never would take another picture. Returned for refund.

Bulky, heavy, picture quality not impressive.

Only 4 years and is broken the lens!

Owners manual limited it cost me $20.00 to find a manual to better understand the camera from a vendor

Not a great camera. As you zoom in and out it is slow to focus. The moving shots are terrible and blurry

Doesn't take great pictures. Doesn't get action shots. The zoom isn't the best. I got it for my daughters senior year I got better pictures with my Samsung phone.

I like this camera and all of its features. But sorry to say the first one I received wouldn't function at all after just one day of use where it worked great. I sent it back and was promptly sent another to replace it. However the replacement never functioned at all! Every time I turned it on it would ask me to enter the date and time. No matter how many times I did it, trying multiple variables of entering and saving the info, the camera would never get beyond that initial setup phase.If everything had worked I would have given this camera 5 stars as the one day the first camera did work was fantastic in every respect from ease of use and features to final product. And the camera comes with a great value of accessories for the price.

The product was shipped with out the tripod and user manual for the camera and software. Requested to ship the tripod.

This product didn't work at all. After I switch on, it prompts to few settings and when I finish the settings, it switches off the camera. I could not use it at all. Its wastage of money.

This camera just won't turn on.

I purchased this for my daughter for Christmas and wasn't able to open it until recently. It was refurbished and wouldn't accept a memory card. Then kept asking to restart the camera. And since they have a limited window for returns it is a total loss A total waste of time and money.

The camera stopped working after about a month. Doesn't turn on or off, not responsive at all, and it wasn't damaged or anything. I bought it refurbished. Waste of money!

I am so disappointed! This worked for about 20 minutes. Then the screen froze and the lens would not go back in. It was a huge let down! I am not happy about this experience.

Waste of money , please do something else with your money . Don't throw it away. If only I can rate it below one star I would have .

I went to put the batteries in it and saw how cheaply the door to the battery holder was. I compared this Sony Cyber Shot to the one I had that I had worn out with use and there was no comparison. This one is not built as good as a toy camera. I returned it immediately. I do have to say that the return went smoothly and my account was credited quickly. But this camera is very cheaply made, I was very disappointed.

The camera can't see the memory that came with the package and kept asking me to insert the card that was used before. I tried other known good memory cards that I have on hand and none was accepted.

We hoped this would be a good camera for our son who has enjoyed using my Nikon. But this Sony has poor quality. If you want great pictures, save up another $200 and get a Nikon D3100

Every time I turn it on it says turn it off. I have tried everything. I finally got it to take some pictures and the quality was less than my little point and shoot.

I am very dissatisfied with this camera. Every picture I take is blurry. No matter what setting I put it on. I have to be super still to have it turn out even half decent. I will be sending this camera back to the manufacturer.

This camera is fine for outdoor indoor get togethers. This camera performs poorly for sporting and the process time from focus to shot is very slow. Also very poorly constructed. I had one of these cameras about ten years ago. It was by far superior. Time to put quality construction back into this camera.
