User for many months now and remain very happy that this was the spiralizer I decided to buy! Great product.
January 8, 2017
I have been using this spiralizer for about 10 months now and absolutely love it. I tried a hand held first and it worked fine, but this beats it hands down for ease of use and the many options given the variety of blades. I am a leftie and had no problems using it. It holds nicely when turning the handle. I have used the really thin plastic cutting sheets or teflon sheets under it to make transferring my spiralized veggies a breeze. I looked at the many options on Amazon before deciding on the Brieftons model and am so glad that I chose it. Not only do I find the product to be well made and so very functional, they offered me several books to download with recipes that I really appreciated when new to using it. Great product.
Extremely Happy Buyer.

We have been looking for a nice, quality spiralizer for a couple weeks. This one came recommended from my son, who is a Sous Chef, and we couldn't be more pleased with the quality and price. We made a decision several months back to totally change how we eat, which has paid off to date with 38 lbs lost for me and 36 lbs for my wife. Best thing we could have ever done. Item like the Spiralizer are adding to our options and variety for meals.
Both the vertical & horizontal Brieftons Spiralizers are excellent!
October 19, 2016
I already own the Brieftons Vertico Spiralizer which is fun and easy to use I merely wanted other blade options. The cuts resulting from the 5 blade Spiralizer are beautiful and the machine is very stable.

In comparison to the most expensive Paderno Spiralizer it appears that they are equally comparable. However, my ultimate choice was the Brieftons 5 Blade Spiralizer because it's almost 1/2 the price! Now I have 2 great Brieftons, the Vertico for family quick and easy family meals and the horizontal 5 Blade Spiralizer for fall bulk harvesting for example 40 gallon size butternut squash noodles!
can't stop raving about it
July 25, 2016
What else can I say but splendid! Writing reviews is not my thing but couldn't pass up the opportunity to rave about my new spiralizer. I bought it on a Monday and it arrived on a Wednesday, bright and early with everything in tact.
When I started using it, I was in some way shocked at how I managed to learn how to use it so quickly. This is really good considering I had never used one of these contraptions before, this was all new to me. Now I have it, I simply cannot stop using it! Also, I have been telling all my mates about it!
One of the best investments this year in my kitchen
June 3, 2016
This is one of the best investments I have made in a long time. I wanted it to make zucchini spaghetti but so far I have made everything but that. It is simple and easy to use and I can not imagine my life without it in it, Read the instructions before using just so that you know which blade to use and make sure you use the little silver handle on the side under the big handle to push and life will be easy pleazy. Sweet and White Potato Fries in oven are a snap and take a few minutes to make and bake, Want a fancy but quick cake or cupcake.. mix up a basic white cake mix and spiralizer granny smith apple. Add squeeze of lemon juice, honey or suger and cinnamon and mix the apples. lightly place on top of the cake dough and place in oven. Bake. fancy take when it comes out. Make beet, apple or any veggies chips using the sprializer too. I love this little devise and it is so easy to clean up. Great item for low cost! well make and suction cups on the base to keep it from sliding all over the place. 6 stars if i could

Great addition to the Spiralizer
June 14, 2016
I've only used a few recipes so far but what I did cook was delicious. The Spiralizer came with a little pamphlet with a few recipes. This book is a great addition! From breakfast to desserts, it contains many easy recipes. I bought the book because I am a Weight Watcher and not a vegetable lover :0) I will be using the book and the Spiralizer often to introduce my palate to vegetables. The recipes are easy to read and accomplish; they generally do not include weird items that might be difficult to find at the market. I would definitely recommend this cookbook to anyone who has a Spiralizer.
Eat Your Veggies!!!!
May 15, 2015
I'm giving this book 5-stars alone based on all the helpful information inside this book. Like how to get darn near perfect spirals! I have been making 'Zoodles' (zucchini noodles) since I gave up pasta over a year ago but always ended up with lots of 'crescent moon' shapes. I rarely do anymore! Although, those little 'moons' taught me how sweet and yummy a raw piece of zucchini could taste...so when I do get a few of those, I just toss them in a salad for extra crunch! And all this time I thought I didn't like Zucchini! I stand corrected! But it isn't just about Zucchini...it's about all kinds of Veggies and making healthier choices!I've replaced various 'spiralized noodles' in my own recipes that once contained pasta & everyone loves them! The best part is that (1) Veggies are better for you (2) You don't have that "Ugh! I ate ALL the pasta on my plate & I can't move!" feeling (3) "OH THE GUILT!" (4) If you have little ones that you want to eat their veggies without a battle, this is a fun way to get them to LOVE them - they could even help make them! I even give raw spiralized veggies to my pooches! I should have bought into a Spriralizing company because so many of my friends have bought them after sharing a spriralized meal with me!Quick Note...I keep kitchen scissors nearby when I make my Zoodles and cut them into manageable pieces. This way you still have the satisfaction of twirling them as you would actual pasta, but it doesn't go on for days! ;)If you know someone who is Vegan or Vegetarian or interested in becoming one, this would be a great book to give as a gift as well as to have on hand to make tasty delights that not only they will love, but everyone else will as well!I've attached a photo of my Clams Vongole with Zoodles. I added chopped parsley over the top, a sprinkle of parmesan cheese and a dash of dried red peppers & Ohhhh La La...YUMMY! When your friends and family ask if your making any 'Tasty Zoodles' when you invite them over...you know you're doing it right! This also goes for when your kiddos eat what's on their plate instead of dismissing their veggies as "boring"! Make eating fun again while keeping it healthy!
Innovative veggie recipes from a true expert
March 16, 2015
This is a great book for 2 reasons:1) It teaches you how to use and get the most out of a vegetable spiralizer. She goes through how to use and care for the device, to what fruits and vegetables work best and which don't really work at all. If the book was just this information, it would be worth it, because she gives you a great foundation to start using fruits and vegetables creatively in the kitchen by spiralizing them. She has clearly been using the vegetable spiralizer for a long time and she passes her wisdom to newbies like myself so we don't have to go through the trial and error she already has.2) The recipes are truly creative, fresh and delicious. I expected this book to be just a bunch of savory pasta recipes with veggie noodles in the place of regular noodles, so I was delighted to find creative breakfast entrees and both sweet and savory treats. My only complaint about the book is that there aren't photos for every single recipe, but there are photos for many of them. Not since I bought Yotem Ottolenghi's Plenty cookbook have I been so excited to cook with vegetables. Thank you Ali for this wonderful resource!
Healthy, beautiful, and inspiring cookbook!
March 5, 2015
From the moment I flipped through this cookbook I wanted to try each and every recipe! Each recipe is written very clear and easy to understand. I am able to find the ingredients at my local grocery store but Ali lists alternatives, which I like. The photos are beautiful! My kids have been joining in and are excited to try the HEALTHY recipe! A family friendly cookbook!
Life changing ideas for anyone trying to be healthier!
February 24, 2015
If you are new to spiralizing you don't really NEED this book, Ali has enough info and recipes to get you started for free on her website. I bought three copies of this book for myself and friends purely because I wanted to monetarily support her because she has helped me so much. That being said I received my books yesterday (one day before release, thanks Amazon!!!) and I am VERY impressed! Vegetable sandwiches, muffins, waffles, vegetable rice pudding!?! You don't NEED this book, but you will LOVE it!The key to spiralizing is actually getting out your spiralizer and using it. Once you get in the habit of it you will see how spiralizing is so much faster than cutting up vegetables, and most veggies you can spiralize ahead of time and store in your fridge ready to use. Make sure you read Ali's tips on cleaning the spiralizer and which veggies you can spiralize ahead of time. This girl's ideas are amazing, and truly life changing for those of us who follow a gluten free, grain free, vegan or paleo lifestyle. Even if you don't, a vegetable spiralizer paired with Ali's ideas make it so much easier to incorporate more veggies into your diet.Anyone following any kind of weight loss plan or that wants to be healthier would love this and a spiralizer as a gift!
Recipes from around the world - delicious, healthy, and and nicely presented
February 24, 2015
Like the other reviewers here, I follow Ali's blog, so I was interested to see how much overlap there was between her blog and cookbook. There is actually not much overlap, most of the recipes in "Inspiralized" seem to be new (relative to her blog). There are about 3 from the breakfast chapter (sweet potato waffles, savoy cabbage breakfast burrito, and huevos rancheros) - but otherwise, those are really the only ones I noticed.Ali includes a stunning amount of variety, from "Everything bagel" breakfast buns (yum), chana masala with kohlrabi rice, Thai drunken zucchini noodles with pork (my favorite), to apple-potato buns as a gluten-free, healthier alternative to grilled cheese. Every recipe I have made from her blog has turned out well, so I am expecting similar results from this book.I love the layout of her cookbook - it's easy to see at a glance how much time everything will take, and unlike a lot of cookbooks I've used where it takes three times longer than promised - her estimates are pretty accurate for me. In addition, there's the nutritional information, a photo of what it should look like, whether it's GF, veggie, vegan, etc. My favorite feature though is probably the fact that each recipe includes an "also works with" box. She really encourages you to explore with your spiralizer and try new things. In case you don't like something, or can't find it, or have an overabundance of something else - Ali makes it really easy to adapt her recipes to suit your personal tastes, while staying as healthy as you want to stay (for instance, she says up front that her recipes don't include butter, cream, etc - but feel free to add if you desire). Also, the intro section where she talks about how to use your spiralizer, which veggies are permissible, special ways to deal with things like the soapy taste from daikon, how to prepare and store spiral veggies for cooking later - while it is all on her blog, it's nice to have in one place here.I thought that the spiralizer was just another huge kitchen gadget that I might not really use, but I've lost about 10 lbs since I got mine in December (yeah, two months ago) - just from cutting out pasta and rice. Even my cooking-phobic roommate uses my spiralizer weekly. Ali's blog has really helped me experiment with all the ways I can use the spiralizer, without giving up the dishes that I like. This book takes it even further.

Spiralizer effort or fun?
July 26, 2017
Well its a spiralizer all right, and be prepared to make a mess. It is well made, I haven't used all the blades yet, but the fine curlyQ blade works pretty good. Like in the advertising picture the food goes everywhere. The design leaves a little bit to be desired as you cannot fit a bowl near enough to the spiralizer to catch the food. I just bought beets to try with it. Also it only holds 2 of the blades in storage. I don't know what to do with the other 3!!. Its fun but not sure yet if its worth all the effort. If you entertain a lot and want to be fancy I guess it would be. Saw it on TV yesterday, being used by a professional chef. He made spiral zucchini noodles!!! Have fun.
Great for making veggie noodles.
July 2, 2017
They have excellent customer service. One of the parts on the slicer was defective and they sent me a replacement part right away. The slicer works very well. The suction cups hold it securely to the counter. I've made several batches of zoodles with the different blades and they all cut easily. I do wish they had a better option for blade storage. There is space in the slicer for two blades. I got the five blade model and there's just no good way to store the blades except to keep the box and store them there, which is kind of a pain. I'd love to see a hard plastic storage case for the three extra blades.
Happy Customer!
March 29, 2017
I had some issues with my first spiralizer, but within hours of posting my dissatisfaction, I had an email from the company wanting to make it right. I have nothing but the highest regards for a company that stands behind their products. Things happen, but they were willing to do whatever it took to make me a happy customer. We need more companies like Brieftons! Can't wait to start Spiralizing again!
Spiralizer In Style
March 1, 2017
This Spiralizer is a good buy for the price. It has 5 different size cutting blades that make it very usable. It is very easy to use and clean. It is only limited in the size of the food it will cut. It works best on items that are about 2 1/2 inches in diameter. Narrower foods have a difficult time being gripped. Another drawback is that the prongs that hold the food in place are plastic and if you don't stop before you get to them, they will break off. I did this the first time I used it until I realized where to stop. There is a slight amount of wasted food that can not go through the spiralizer for this reason. The different sizes of the blades are very handy and someone who does a lot of spiralizing will appreciate this. I was very happy with the curly fries I cut. They were the perfect size and shape that was just right for cooking. It packs up pretty well with several blades stored underneath and easy to install when changed. It has suction cups the secure it to flat surfaces which release easily when done. They give stability to the unit when operating which is very handy because you need one hand to turn the handle and the other hand moves the food forward toward the blade. The Life-time warranty is really reassuring. The cookbook is suppose to be downloadable to your laptop. I'm not too good at downloading. I haven't done that yet, so I can't comment on it's usefulness. I would have preferred a hard copy.
How to have Healthy Fun in the Kitchen
January 25, 2016
I have been doing a lot of compArison shopping on line for a spiralizer and watching videos on Utube. Finally decided on the Briefton 5 blade one and am so glad I did select this model. It is sturdy, the suction cups on the bottom keep it anchored down to the counter top, the blades are easy to insert and remove and give you great versatility and clean up is easy. So far I have made zucchini, potato and onion noodles and Apple and cucumber ribbons--all under a minute each. The zucchini noodles were nice with spaghetti sauce__i like them all dente but you can steam or salute them to your liking. With the potato, zucchini and onion noodles I followed a recipe for latkes that was delicious and used them in a frittata as well.Using several blades I made up various noodle and ribbons in a salad--looked lovely and it was so much pleasanter than having to slice all the veggies by hand. The blades are sharp but you can safely clean them with a small brush and jet of water or put in dish washer. The small centers and end pieces ( which really don't amount to much waste at all) I use in my juicer or cut up in soup. While it says the spiralizer packs away to take up less space, it really means parts come off so you can fit it back in the box. It does have a blade holder build in but that only holds 2 and I have the extra blades to manager with the 5. It ends up being about the size of a small toaster.Briefton provides you with three free ebooks that have a lot of recipes and good ideas. All in all, this is a fast and fun way to use fresh fruits and produce.
Best Zucchini Noodler!
November 28, 2015
This is a fabulous kitchen tool! I use it about twice a week, and it is easy to use, clean up, and is pretty sturdy, considering it is made out of plastic. It doesn't always stay suction-cupped to my quartz kitchen countertop, but it isn't an issue for me; the benefits outweigh this minor nuisance. As for other reviews commenting on the difficulty of cleaning the blades and how the manufacturer/seller should have included a mini-brush - just use a little baby bottle brush or an inexpensive toothbrush - not a big deal overall - this little machine is amazing, and creates the best zucchini noodles ever! And the blades are sharp!Tips: it is very important to purchase large (diameter) vegetables when possible, and to make sure you slice both ends evenly prior to placing the veggie on the Spiralizer; the vegetable needs to sit flush with the blade and the attached handle end.

Great recipes!
June 14, 2017
Great cookbook! Ali shows you lots of ways to get more creative with spiralizing - it does go beyond zucchini noodles. Some of the recipes use unusual ingredients which may be hard to find, which is why I have reduced to four stars. But we have definitely enjoyed everything we have made!
... the paperback version and was pleasantly surprised as how nice of quality it is
May 15, 2017
I got the paperback version and was pleasantly surprised as how nice of quality it is! I wish it had more home cooking comfort food type recipes that were things you'd want to eat weekly though....still worth it though :) I just might need to get another one in addition to this one :). I'm happy because it was a Mother's Day gift to help my mom eat healthier and she was actually excited and bookmarking recipes right away!! :)
what a pretty salad that would make
January 18, 2016
I saw spirslizers in the stores around Christmas time and thought..what a pretty salad that would make. I bought one out of curiosity and the tiny cook book ideas that came with it immediately intrigued me. I thought wow.. I can make other things than salads? I bought this book because of the good reviews...its a very informative book with recipies from appetizers. Breakfast..meals..to deserts. The recipes I tried were so good and they inspired my creative thinking for all the wonderful recipes I can alter. I have been a juicer for years and this is so much more fun...I lost 3 pounds in s week. I recommend this book..thank you
Inspiralized
October 13, 2015
Inspiralized is a nice collection of creative recipes for use with a spiralizer. It also has a lot of info on preparation methods, blade use and nutrition. I feel healthier just reading this book. Lol! I bought it after I bought a spiralizer for a recipe I came across and wanted to try more. I will admit it feels a bit trendy and can be a bit laborious bc it's just another gadget to clean. I'm not sure it isn't easier to pull out my trusty food processor and shred the veggies or finely chop them, especially when a recipe calls for "ricing" the veggie. There really isn't a need to spiralize it first then use the food processor. I guess what I'm getting at is that even if you don't own a spiralizer, you could still buy Inspiralized and enjoy the flavorful and healthy recipes (albeit with a different visual presentation). You'll never look at "boring" veggies the same way again. ;0)
Spiralicious!
July 27, 2015
The superfood salad with beets is yummy! I like the innovative approach to making faux rice and couscous. That being said the faux couscous used by turnips was not nearly as good as real couscous (and I do like turnips). Some things you just can't inspiralize! I love the zucchini fettuccini. The "riced" beets and kohlrabi were good. Fun cookbook to try.
This Book Makes Eating "Clean" Super Easy
July 1, 2015
This has become my turn to set of recipes when I'm looking for something that is quick, easy to make and healthy. I'm not paleo, gluten-free or "perfect", but I am trying to eat "cleaner" by reducing my processed food consumption (i.e. breads and pastas) and the amount of sugar in my diet, and these recipes help keep me on track. The recipes are incredibly easy to follow, use ingredients that I generally have on hand, and -- best of all -- are very flavorful. I was a little concerned because I didn't have the specific "spiralizer" she uses, but I've been able to make most of the recipes with my simple little hand-held spiralizer. The favorite in our household has become her Italian Pasta Salad...great flavor and super easy to make. My husband, who would rather eat a cheeseburger and fries than a zucchine pasta, said he didn't even miss the pasta in this recipe. Now THAT'S a win!

I like this little gadget
January 10, 2017
I like this little gadget....I gave it less than 5 stars because it did not come with any instructions on how to put it together and it took me a hot minute to figure out how to use it...I'm still not 100% sure I am using it correctly. Further, I didnt like the fact that the noodles drop directly on the table, there is not space to put a bowl under the noodles which would have been nice. This is also a biotch to clean and is very cumbersome. Over all it does the job and I am happy with the purchase because it makes my noodles. It would have been nice to get a diagram of which blades make which kind of noodles. I kind of wish I would have spent a little more money and got one with instructions and a manual but like I said its ok and I have recommended it to many people!UPDATE: I had to reduce the stars on this thing. It should have come with a brush or something to clean it with because its is SO cumbersome to clean. I wish I would have just go t hand held device, something a little easier to clean because this is a bare! Not to mention it suctions to the counter top and is so hard to get loose! its just messy it does the job but I just dont like it that much because its so hard to clean it makes me not want to use it
Good for beginners
June 14, 2016
So far I have only spiralized zucchini, which works pretty well. There is always a bit of skin gunked up on the back side of the blades, which I'm not thrilled about, and it dispenses the noodles directly on to the counter, as it is too low to get a bowl under (I put waxed paper down to catch it). The angelhair blade was missing a tooth when I received the set, and Brieftons sent me another set of blades, no charge. Unfortunately, the new set is also missing a tooth, just in a different place, so the noodles don't come out as evenly sized as they should. Overall, the construction seems a little flimsy, so I'm not sure how long it will last. It is my first spiralizer though, so maybe I will be surprised in the end.
Good value for the low cost
May 18, 2016
I had previously owned a similar product from a competitor which I very much enjoyed using, but after a few weeks the plastic on the cranking mechanism cracked and it no longer worked. Luckily I was able to get a full refund, and I decided to spend a little more money to get the Brieftons, which looked very highly rated. While the plastic construction does seem more durable, the metal food mover is not tightly fastened to the cranking mechanism, and it doesn't move very smoothly toward the blades. Moreover, the product only holds three blades, so the other two blades must be stored elsewhere. However, the diversity of blades is very helpful, and the spirals I've made have been much better than those from my previous spiralizer, so as long as this one doesn't break it will be good value.
Great way to spin up vegetables!
September 15, 2015
I love using this gadget to spiralized beets or sweet potatoes, mixed with spiralized sweet onion. Mixed with olive oil and spices and baked in a hot oven, yum! My daughter has one and makes zuchini noodles for her kids. I broke the handle on it unfortunately, but Brieftons immediately sent me a replacement unit. I still think the handle could be a little sturdier. But they have a great guarantee and customer service!
Not as fab as I had expected but nice output.
June 10, 2015
A sort-of unnecessary part of mine broke off the first time I tried to use it. I used it on Yukon Gold and Sweet Potatoes. It was harder to use than I had anticipated but I liked the end result. I'm not sure the design is that fabulous. But I will keep using it because I adore the little strings of potato that come out the end.
Works great for making zuchinni noodles
January 24, 2015
Works great for making zuchinni noodles. Not so great for potatoes and sweet potatoes. I was hoping for thicker spirals. I am still messing around with it to see what I can do. It does work well, it just slices really thin.

August 25, 2017
You can find most, if not all, recipes already online. Also, she goes on and on about her trips abroad, which truthfully is a little annoying. The recipes for the most part are super healthy, which is nice. But I feel as though there should more "entree" recipes. Also, not all recipes have picture, if you are looking for a visual example of what you are supposed to end up with.

September 19, 2016
Well written. Most recipes are easy to follow. Well worth the purchase price to help think about using vegetables differently.
Meh
January 11, 2016
So far, I've made the Lemon Garlic Broccoli with Bacon (kids loved it), the Mango-Avocado Spring Rolls (kids hated), and Sweet Potato Fried Rice (kids also hated). While I liked the flavors well enough, the recipes seemed so labor intensive for what they were. I was hoping this cookbook would be a more straight forward, healthy combination of mostly veggies. In other words, celebrating the vegetables as they are instead of trying so hard to make them into something else. However, I am looking forward to trying the Bacon Cacio e Pepe which reads more like Spaghetti Carbonara than her Sweet Potato Carbonara recipe in the same book. I will also try some of the desserts and cold salads but, so far, definitely not one of my favorite cookbooks.
Major Oversight!
May 16, 2015
This is an amazing cookbook. Even though I do not own one of Ali's inspiralizers, it's still very useful. And the recipes are awesome. So why the 3-stars? Well, most people who are seriously counting carbs, as we are at our house because of diabetes, also pay attention to fiber counts, as this adjusts your carbs. And what do you not find on a single recipe in Inspiralized? Fiber! I cannot imagine why we would be so conscientious about listing all the other nutritional info and just skipping fiber. Granted, many of the recipes fall well within acceptable carb counts. But several are just a bit high, and if I knew the fiber counts I could adjust appropriately to see if they might be useable anyhow. I think this is a significant enough oversight to lower my rating considerably. I still recommend the book, with caveat.

There is a manufacturing bump in the plastic along the inside that keeps the slide from moving easily. The blades are dull so instead of cutting the vegetables on the spiralizing end the pronged end just mashes into other and makes it a mess. Pretty disappointed. There are five blades, but only storage for three, weird.

I would have loved to recommend this because the price is right. A few things that I don't like:- suction cup feet: didn't work well and 2 out of the 4 broke off after only 2 uses.- the silver push handle. Too small to be of any good and very uncomfortable when using. Hard to get any leverage with it.- when using the spiralizer, the positioning of the front feet don't easily allow for a catch system. I used my silpad or thing cutting board but it would inevitably make a huge mess on my counter.- the spikes on the vegetable holder did not hold a sweet potato securely. Had to keep fighting it to get it to cut.- the veggies turned out more flat than noodle like.**I purchased the OXO brand this week...great suction and cuts amazing "noodle" like veggies.

The book mainly gave me ideas of what foods went with each other. I was quite disappointed with the overall book.

Company doesn't do what they say they will do.If I could have zero stars I would.Product made cheaply, didn't work.
nope
April 18, 2017
This was the second time I've tried a spiralizer of this sort. After reading the positive reviews I had hoped I would like this one but nope. I tried with a sweet potato and found it very difficult to use, the potato kept breaking and it was almost impossible to not grind the prongs once you got to the end. It also leaves quite a bit on the prongs that isn't spiraled. My spirals looked nothing like the picture. I've returned this and decided to try one of the little pencil sharpener ones instead. Thankfully, I don't need big quantities of spirals so I think that's likely to work better for me personally.

it's not sturdy. Flimsy. Hard to manually turn it ! Vegetable falls off easy while turning. I tried the Spiralizer and it is easier. The only reason why I bought this one was because I liked the green color. I regret buying this one.
This is not a good spiral cutter

This is not a good spiral cutter! You must push the veggies through it and if you aren't absolutely perfect at it, they break. Get one with a screw attachment that will have an even force while cutting.
Poor design.
September 16, 2015
Did not meet expectations. Any vegetable placed n the spikes that are supposed to hold it, would just fall off. I could not get a potato to stay on long enough to spiralize it. The spikes are cheap plastic and won't penetrate the vegetable enough to secure it in place. Poor design.
Don't buy it

piece of cheap plastic. One suction cup fell off the first time I used it. "Walks across counter. Very hard to move vegetable into the blade until it is very short. Sits too low to put a bowl under to catch veggies.
