| Great choice if your considering solar heaters.June 25, 2017 Our pool was always cold, even in the middle of summer. We now have 2 of these hooked up to our 10k gallon pool. On a sunny day you can definitely feel the difference in water temp between the intake and outlet. The downside, as with anything solar, no sun no warming. Good heaters for the money! | or you're better off buying a heaterJuly 28, 2016 Don't think you'll have a 'heated pool'. Expect a less colder pool. I don't have a big pool (just under 5k gallons) and you'll need more than 1 for sure, or you're better off buying a heater! Three StarsJuly 19, 2016 It was to small for my 21 ft pool It definitely heats the water on sunny days, but....September 15, 2015 If you have a small pool that uses 1 1/4" hoses, I guess it would be OK. I do not like the "adapters" required for 1 1/2" hoses. I also don't like the small diameter of the heating hoses inside the unit. Combined with the reduction from 1 1/2 to 1 1/4" hoses, it greatly reduces the water flow through the filter system. On a positive note, the water discharging from the heater into the pool was a solid 3 degrees warmer than the pool water. If I had a small pool, requiring 2 or less of these, I would consider using them. (5000 gallons or less) My pool would require 6. Based on the reduction of flow, 6 would make my filter useless. I would also recommend getting one with a bypass for when the pool is warm enough and you don't want to heat it anymore. Customer service was good, and returning it was easy. Ok, I think, but...August 12, 2015 Too early for results, the reason for three stars. One comment though; not enough of the rubber donuts to attach 1 1/4" hose to source and return lines, and hose is not a standard pool hose, so I couldn't add an end to it for a water tight fit. So I suggest using standard pool hoses to avoid the problem. I spent way too much time getting a tight fit from the source and the return. I plan on replacing the hoses in the spring. | | | | |

| Cheap Cheap HosesSeptember 25, 2017 One would thank that for almost $100 each that these plastic domes would come with fairly substantial hoses, but instead I have 3 that split in the first summer. I gave it one star because the 3 combined domes that I now have to replace all the hoses for will actually raise the pool temp (of a 18k gallon pool) 6 degrees in one day. | | | | |
