Thanks for the awesome price Amazon!

They have worked perfectly for every project I've used them for. I've mainly been using them for photo projects and I can easily fit 3 4x6 photos in one sleeve and the photo seems to come out even brighter and crisper than before.
Been using these for several years!

Keeps papers tear free for years in my classroom! I use them with my scotch laminator, and they allow my center materials to stay nice and neat for several years! Makes it worth it for me to put together colorful, fun centers!
Perfect thickness for laminating paper bookmarks! (other paper products)
July 13, 2016
These laminating pouches are the perfect thickness to laminate bookmarks that fit comfortably between pages. I just re-ordered a pack of 200 sheets and will definitely be getting use out of them! I use them with the Scotch Thermal Laminator 2 roller system and got really great results. They're thick enough to handle easily when feeding into the laminator machine. I've laminated both 100lb coverstock as well as 80lb, so I laminate paper on the thicker side and they work amazingly well. There is a good seal and when the paper is fed correctly, no crinkling of any sort. I've never had an issue with the laminate bubbling or warping. I found the best way to feed into the machine is setting the document in the laminating pouch on top of something that is on level with the opening feed. (I use the box that the 200 pouches came in or a stack of books). This ensures a straight feed for good results everytime. The laminating pouches may be a bit opaque but once it heat sets and is fed through the machine, it comes out crystal clear. I've recently started using these to make little ID badges as well. A great product that I would recommend and will definitely be purchasing again.Over time, I will update my review for longevity and quality of the product. If you found my review helpful, please vote with a YES/LIKE. It would be greatly appreciated!
Amazing pouches for a great price
February 19, 2016
I love these laminating pouches! I am an elementary teacher and I hate how the school lamination is thin and comes off easily, even when it hasn't been trimmed too close. I used my Scotch Thermal Laminator Combo Pack, Includes 20 Letter-Size Laminating Pouches, Holds Sheets up to 8.5" x 11(TL902VP) for 2 and a half years before a rogue off-brand laminating pouch got stuck in it and essentially took it out of commission. My hubby was able to disassemble it and get it out, but the sticky residue remained. I keep it now as a backup for my Scotch Thermal Laminator, 2 Roller System, Fast Warm-up, Quick Laminating Speed (TL901C-T), and have vowed to NEVER buy off brand pouches again. Haven't had a problem since, and the cost is well worth it!
The Best
July 7, 2014
These are awesome. They are crystal clear and you can cut right down the middle of a single laminated sheets without it coming apart (it will come apart if you laminate two sheets back-to-back and cut too close to the papers with lamination sticking to one side of each page). WARNING: Make sure you insert the page closed-side first. If you insert the open side then you will break your laminator. True story! Happened to me because I was trying to do too many things at once and wasn't paying attention. It melted all around the rolling bar inside my laminator. Had to get a new one. BESIDES the point. But just wanted to give warning when I can. Great sheets. Great price. Love them!
Nice Home Laminator
June 20, 2012
My wife loves crafting and making all sorts of things. She needed to laminate some stuff and I decided we should just buy one. This unit does a really good job. I was really impressed how some items she made for a party she was planning turned out. The lamination was nice and thick and looked professional. It wasn't flimsy like some of the home laminating I have seen. The unit heats up fast, and auto feeds the pouch in. It couldn't be any simpler. It is so easy, that I have even laminated some things for my football coaching and a little mothers day project for the wife. Also, make sure to order the pouches online as well, they are much cheaper.

Home use and for teaching
November 11, 2017
This product is awesome! I was surprised at the quality based on the low price. I use it primarily to create learning materials for my little one. We have laminated pieces to games and manipulatives. We also laminate sheets for dry erase markers (such as handwriting skills). This saves a tremendous amount of paper and my little one loves using the special markers on these laminated pages! I bought it on the recommendation that you can laminate and then cut the paper (without precutting) and have done this several times. It peeled once when I did this, but it was exposed to a small child and a liquid.I love how this machine is:Compact, quiet, quick/efficient, quick to heat, easy to store, fun to useI don’t love:That the sheets are 8x11 or smaller, but that is the fault of the plastic sheets and not the machine) as it limits larger projects.
good cheap laminator
February 20, 2017
Seems to work well. Just don't try to cut them 'seamless' because if you do then the plastic doesn't really bond to the paper, just itself. You will loose the effectiveness if you cut too much seam away. I like to leave around 1/8" at a minimum. We have 'signs' for the kids outside to 'remind' them of outdoor chores. After years the paper still holds up.It does take a bit to warm up and we're not at 100% success on each lamination, but I can't complain for the price.

Love this thing!
September 29, 2016
I love this thing, it's my new favorite toy. I have laminated tons of stuff in the past month (I am about to buy my third box of 100 pouches) since I bought it and it's still running great. It warms up quickly and runs smoothly. I LOVE IT!! I am a tracher and use it at home for my classroom. It saves me hours in the library with the large laminator and I can buy thicker laminator sheets than the school gets.
Awesome especially for list people :)
August 6, 2015
If you know me, you know how much I love office supplies! It's actually quite surprising how long I waited to get a personal laminator. But I got this one and I absolutely LOVE it! It's SO simple to use: just turn it on, let it heat up, feed the stuff you want into the laminator enclosure, and feed it through! I use the Scotch brand laminator enclosures with this because they work well and don't bubble up. I thought it would take me a few tries to figure this out but it went perfectly on the very first try. I kind of laminate everything from to-do lists to checklists for work and even social media management sheets to keep track of my business accounts. It's awesome to be able to design my documents in Photoshop, print them out, and then laminate them so I can mark things off with a dry-erase marker. It's so easy to use and doesn't take up much space. I don't leave mine plugged in unless I'm using it just for safety (and I have little ones). It smells kind of like a hot glue gun when it's being used, but that's to be expected since you are melting plastic. My only complaint would be that it only came with two enclosures. I would rather pay a higher price and have it come with an entire pack.
Perfect for my in-house daycare/preschool!
August 1, 2015
I just received this yesterday and absolutely love it! When I first took it out of the box, I thought it couldn't possibly do what it and the raving reviews claim it does because it's so small and light and seemed almost flimsy. So, I plugged it in, turned it on and waited for the green light while feeling skeptical. I placed my items in the included pouch and slid it into the tray until the machine grabbed it and pulled it though and watched in amazement as it came out perfectly laminated. It is extremely quiet whether it's warming up or you're feeding something through. There is a slight odor the first couple of times you use, but it goes away. I ordered a 50 pack of the letter size and 20 pack of the legal size pouches to go with it. I run an in-home daycare/preschool and this machine is perfect for my needs. I probably laminated more than 100 items last night. One of the items I laminated was a giant wall calendar for morning circle time. I was able to fit 12 date squares in one letter sized pouch with plenty of room between each one. Then I just cut them apart and they were each perfectly laminated! This is definitely worth the $30 I paid for it and I have so many great ideas for incorporating it into my program and crafts. The only thing I would change if I could, would be to make the tray that feeds into the machine a bit longer. It was a bit tricky trying to laminate many pieces at once and a slightly longer tray would have made it a bit easier. However, once I did it a couple times I sort of developed a system and had no issues.

"LOVE!" Great for teachers!
August 19, 2017
These things are fantastic! I am a teacher and it is so handy to have the 5 mil available for my TPT's! Our school's laminator is a very thin guage (for which I am thankful) but sometimes you just want a heavier - not quite so bendy finish. I will say do not cut close to the edge because the laminate will come apart. Cut with some space around your paper. And - it's a stinker to cut because it is heavy. But the heavy is what makes it so durable! I totally recommend this product!
These give you a nice thick lamination
June 30, 2017
These give you a nice thick lamination. I use them with cardstock for covers of notebooks that I put together with my proclick binder. I can't believe they are so inexpensive. I wish I would have bought the machine and pouches much sooner.
Top Brand
June 27, 2017
I first purchasted a different brand (Crystal Clear) and had great difficulty opening the pouches. Also even though they were advertised as 5 mil they were closer to 3 mil. I returned them. I then read several reviews on the Scotch brand and gave them a try. They are everything as advertised, easy to open, 5 mil, clear finish, and an overall good product. I read another review were it was suggested to run the sheets through the lamiator twice. I have an Fellows laminator which has a switch for both 3 and 5 mil sheets. Using the 5 mil setting one pass is all that is needed. It is true that there slight less than flat ginished result.
Work great and are a real value
December 11, 2016
These are 5mm pouches that work great in a Scotch brand thermal laminator. I have laminated dozens of pages flawlessly without an bobbles or creases. Just be sure to insert the sealed end first and support the pouch until it's half way through the machine.
Perfect bubble-free laminations.
March 28, 2016
I really like the quality of the Scotch laminating pouches. There was none of the fidgeting to get the sheet aligned. It dropped into the pouch exactly where I wanted it and stayed put through the sealing process. There were no bubbles or blemishes.
I like having both thickness on hand so that I can ...
May 16, 2015
I use a Scotch brand laminator with these Scotch laminating sheets. Works perfectly. I have used both the 3 mil and the 5 mil thicknesses. While you wouldn't think there's much of a difference between the 2 thicknesses, there is! The 5 mil thickness gives a significantly more durable result. It feels a lot stiffer than the 3 mil. I like having both thickness on hand so that I can choose between them for each application.Due to the additional thickness of the 5 mil laminating sheets, I ended up running them through the laminater TWICE for best results. The package directions suggest doing this!

Super convenient and easy to use
August 21, 2017
Super convenient and easy to use! My only complaint is that sometimes when I have finished a sheet, there is still a cloudy looking effect on the paper. Not a big deal and will not hinder my continued use!
Good product as expected.
June 2, 2017
These laminating sheets worked well and were easy to use. Note, these sheets require a laminating machine as they are not the sticky type of laminating sheets.
Lamination.
November 1, 2016
I like it, but need to try some 5 mil stuff. I should have looked deeper and got the 5 mil, but that is no fault of Scotch or 3M. These work well. I used them with the AmazonBasics Thermal Laminator. Both worked quite well.
Very thick, but not good as a dry-erase
October 3, 2016
Works great for laminating for a classroom. Or school seems to never have any laminating film when I need to laminate items for the class.I have bought this several times, the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it is really hard to erase if the students use a dry erase marker on it (even Expo). I had laminated papers for small group and it was almost impossible for the students to erase after writing on it. The thinner school laminating film works much better for that.
Clear, but some warping involved.
June 1, 2015
The results on my laminations come out clear, but with noticeable warping. I don't know if it is the laminate material or the inexpensive Scotch Thermal Laminator I use (I use it so infrequently that I couldn't see spending the big bucks on an expensive laminator). I wonder if a thicker laminate would prevent the warping. Perhaps when I need another package, I will look for the next thckness up.
worked quite well
December 31, 2012
I purchased Scotch Thermal Pouches 8.9 x 11.4 Inches, 100-Pack (TP3854-100) to use with my Provocraft book binding/laminating machine. I made a book for my niece with the pouches and it came out pretty well (if I do say so myself!) The laminated pages were much more rigid than I was anticipating (guess i"m used to the cheaper lamination the schooloffers) so I was a little worried my niece might cut herself on the edges - thankfully she hasn't.The only real complaint I have so far is that a few of the pages I have encountered had little holes or something in the plastic and while they laminated ok (I used them for practice) they didn't look that great. So you really have to pay attention and look the pouch over before you ruin any items!.FYI, I noticed it is very easy to cut the seal when trimming around the laminated items. I used a cutter to trim my pages but didn't notice the seal wasn't always a "perfect" line around the object so I ended up cutting the seal. Luckily I was able to put the page back through the machine and seal it again. With more practice, I'm sure it will get easier. So far I'm happy with this product :)

I got a great, clean transfer which made a really nice board
January 27, 2016
I bought this laminator on a hunch, without any recommendation, to use for transferring Laser/toner printouts to copper clad PCB's. I had wanted to try using a laminator to make PCB's but was put off by buying one through the mail - these are stocked at Walmart (usually#. Right out of the box, without any "mods" to the thermostat, and using cheap paper I cut out of a magazine, I got a great, clean transfer which made a really nice board. On the 5 mil setting a 1/16" double sided copper clad board fed right through like this machine was made for it. I fed the board through probably, 10 times and when it cooled the magazine paper popped right off without soaking and about 99% of the toner had completely transferred to the board - there was no toner left on the paper. I was pretty astonished #in a good way# and Im left wondering if Scotch got smart and some of this performance wasn't engineered into the machine #this is version 2 of this machine#...probably not but no matter...it seems to get just hot enough for a clean transfer...if I can repeat these results I wouldn't even think of modding it. Be prepared for the laminator to take 4 to 5 minutes before the 'ready' light comes on... Probably best to gather up several items to be laminated to avoid frustration of the warm-up delay! Does a great job on sealing in the contents...no bubbles...no creases...
Great laminator
October 15, 2015
I've had this laminator almost a year and gone through almost two 100 sheet pouches with it and have loved it. For the price this is a great home laminator. I've had some issues with items I've cut separating, especially with thicker paper, but I have cut them right along the edge of the paper so it didn't have that plastic laminated border. I haven't had issues cutting things I've professionally laminated (thicker, higher-quality lamination) when I've only laminated one sheet (vs laminated two sheets together), but I'm not sure if that's the quality of the pouches or the laminator. When I haven't cut items or cut them outside the sealed border, I haven't had any problems. My only wish is that it were more compact and easier to store. The paper guide comes off, but I would much rather it folded over and/or the machine itself were a little smaller since I have limited craft space.
Nice little at home laminator.
April 11, 2015
At first I thought this little laminator felt pretty cheap, but held up and did the job just fine. I laminated several sheets of Bible verse cards for my Sunday School class and didn't have a problem with laminating or cutting them out. You just need to make sure it's on a smooth surface so that as the laminated sheet comes out it doesn't get snagged on anything (like the rim/edge of the fold out table I was using.) It's not super fast, but it's not too slow either. While one sheet was going through the laminator I had time to put another paper into the next laminating sheet and have it ready to go. Glad I made this purchase because it was on sale at a very reasonable price and it is nice having a laminator at home. It is simple to use, and is very small, light weight and easy to store.
A good thermal laminator
December 12, 2014
I have two other laminators and got this one for a spare. I like it's weight and size. I don't think it seems to get as hot as the others I own. There have been a couple of times when I sent an item through again. However, for the most part it seems to do just fine.I laminate cards, so I put six or so between two pieces of paper and send them into the laminator. On my other machines, the paper goes up and out. On this one it goes down and out. I find that it's hard to keep the cards in place when they are at that angle, so sometimes they slip together and stick slightly. As a result, I think this would be better for one page items being laminated. I'm making it work, but I do have to pay a bit more attention. If the price is lower for this than for others, this is a perfectly good substitute for Scotch, Swingline or any other brand, in my opinion. I'm glad I got it and think it was a good purchase.
Fun little piece of equipment
September 20, 2014
Fun little piece of equipment. Not sure how much I'll do with it considering it creates a plastic waste stream (that I was aware of before I bought it). But, have you ever had that "special" recipe card handwritten and slopped on from your grandmother or late mom that you want to save? Yeah, me too. So, I have now preserved lots of spattered, hand written recipes handed down for generations in plastic. Yay me!Seriously, if used for mementos and sparingly, this is a great gadget to own. It works seamlessly if you follow the instructions. I have yet to destroy anything with it. The highlight was taking a 50 year old recipe of my grandmothers, faded beyond belief and having the laminating process bring back most of the handwriting to amazing clarity (though not perfect). Every grease spot, every stain now lovingly and completely preserved.Makes great coasters out of those silly, but artistic thin cardboard ones you tuck in your purse from your favorite local brew pub!
So Far So Good
November 10, 2011
As a therapist, I have a lot of worksheet based activities I use repeatedly, especially with younger clients. Over the long term, laminating them will save me on paper and ink costs. When I saw the price and great reviews for this product I decided to give it a try. I received it the other day and laminated about a dozen items. The process was fairly quick and the quality of the lamination was very good. Certainly a great deal for the price. The only "sticky" part of the process is that the lamination sheets tend to be very "staticy" which makes it a bit tedious to get the paper centered how you wish between the lamination sheets. Once you've accomplished that, however, it's as simple as inserting it into the laminator and letting it do its thing. One thing to watch out for: the laminator doesn't exactly "eject" the product when complete. The tailing edge can still remain in contact with the heat source and build up heat. I never let it sit there long enough to find out for sure, but I wonder if you aren't there to actively pull the sheet out when finished, if it wouldn't eventually melt/damage the final product. I certainly wouldn't suggest ever leaving this unattended while hot to begin with, but you may also want to be sure to pull the item out as soon as its finished.

Worked great for what we needed and it worked with an iron - it was a last minute thing and we didn't have money for the proper machinery. Great thickness for signs being put up outside in the elements.

Items slip around inside the pouches!
March 24, 2014
Maybe I just got a bad batch or something. The inside of each pouch isn't tacky at all. It's almost impossible to keep pieces of cardstock or paper from sliding around inside when inserting into the laminator. Then when that happens, the pouch and the items being laminated get ruined. The pouches I bought before were sticky enough inside to keep stuff from slipping around.

Heat settings? What heat settings?
May 11, 2015
This is a great, inexpensive laminator. I am a little disappointed, however, because I think the heat settings are a little low. There are only two options to change and they aren't even labeled as heat settings -- simply what density of document you are laminating.I bought this laminator to do some gold leafing. And since I don't think the heat setting is quite high enough the project didn't turn out.I have yet to try to laminate anything, which I can't review on. But, this is a basic laminator with two settings which will probably get the job done. Untested on that yet.
works ok despite missing stuff
December 18, 2014
According to the box, 2 laminating pouches were to be included but were not. There are no instructions. I turned it on and waited for the "ready" light to turn on, but it hadn't after 5 minutes. Since there were no instructions on or in the box, I didn't know if that was long enough or not. I moved the button from "5+ mil" to "3 mil" even though I don't know what thickness the pouches I had ordered separately were, and they don't say either. Doing that pulled my pouch in through the machine. It did laminate and seems ok.
Great while it worked
May 15, 2014
I managed to go 40 years of my life without laminating a thing and never really wanted one. The Gold deal of the day had it at around 16.99 so we thought we'd get it for work. And then I realized I needed to laminate all sorts of things!Used it for protecting instructions and signs, but also for making my own white boards for messages! However, after about 80 sheets done over a 6 month period, it stopped feeding. It heats up but won't take the sheet, can't even manually feed it through, it's just stuck. Disappointing.
Not bad but broke after 6 months
June 7, 2013
Got this through amazon around october 2012 and laminated several pictures that my kids made and it worked like a champ until may of 2013 and now it does absolutely nothing. It's almost like it just reached the end of its lifespan or something. It was a great laminator while it lasted so I will probably buy another and just make sure I go through with the warranty pocedure if something happens with this one.
Laminating made simple
June 23, 2012
*It laminates as intended.*The laminating materials may costs more than the unit depending from where you get them from.*The unit must warm up for about a good 5 minutes before it will be ready to laminate.*Some documents may require multiple passes for the perfect laminated look.*Must babysit with caution like a stove top. I wouldn't let this hot little thing running by itself in the office unless I had mad coverage.*First unit burned out instantly when flicked on. Replacement unit has been going strong since then.*In overall this is one of the cheapest professional laminating solutions out there.

The free couple of laminating pouches that came with my Scotch thermal laminator were fine - so it's probably a fine product

June 7, 2017
My package came opened- The Scotch box was damaged and had been opened and re closed and the plastic casing around the laminating pouches was opened as well. I did not take the time to count out 100 sheets to make sure they were all there but some could have easily been missing. I didn't want to bother with the hassle of sending the package back. The laminating sheets themselves seem to work fine.

These are knockoff laminating sheets! Too thin and staticky. Lower quality. The sheets also wrinkle when laminating. Right away they felt different than the usual scotch laminating sheets previously purchased on Amazon or stores. Buyer beware.... it's a hit or miss with ordering on Amazon.
Too thin at 3/1000th of an inch. Sealed pages twice to get double thickness for durability as outdoor signs.
February 11, 2017
Too thin at 3mil...I'm used to thicker ones like 5 or 6 mil. So I had to double bag these - first seal in a single pouch, then put the sealed pouch in a second and laminate a second time. But I'm going to get a pack of thicker ones. These are too light & flimsy.

Good For A Little While
January 10, 2017
I bought this laminator in 2013 and it worked very well. I've only used it maybe ten or fifteen times since then but when I tried to use it today I found that the rollers have stopped working and it will no longer suck in the lamination pouches. I would have expected this to last longer than three years with infrequent use.

I loved it! However

I've had this laminator for a few years with low use. I loved it! However, the last time I used it, it sucked the lamination sheet back in and ate it completely. There was no way to get into the machine to retrieve the sheet. I even tried unscrewing it and taking it apart to no avail. The machine is completely unusable now and needs to be replaced. I don't feel like I used the machine frequently enough to say I've gotten my money's worth either. It's unfortunate and I will be looking at a competitor when I purchase a replacement.
Not As Good As Everyone Says
August 23, 2015
I was a little hesitant at first about this laminator because I was afraid my smaller items would slide down in the pouch before they were laminated, but I had heard so many good things so I decided to give it a try. Just as I had thought, my fears were confirmed. I had three small square name tags in a pouch and as they went into the laminator, they all slid down. They came out overlapping and unusable. I thought that was going to be my only problem with this laminator, but it wasn't. The stoppers that hold your paper in line broke the first time I tried moving them. Now, unless I hold it myself, my sheet ends up going in crooked, making one end curl. Even though the products came out nicely laminated, it was just too much of a hassle, and I plan to return this item.
Gets The Job Done (Barely!)
May 14, 2015
I do not like this laminator at all. I use to work in a print shop type of environment and we had a commercial laminator and a smaller one similar to this size. I needed a laminator for occasional home use and bought this because it happened to be 50% off that day on Amazon. It was a great deal. The Pros: Small, compact and light weight. Scotch is a decent brand so you know you're not getting some knock off product. Very easy to operate. Plug in, wait til light turns green, then switch on the mil that corresponds with your lamination thickness and feed through the top, the finished document comes out the bottom. The Con: If you are not picky about your laminations, this will work fine. What I found most annoying is that because it doesn't come with a safe feed sleeve, you feed the lamination directly into the machine without protection and the end result is a very wrinkled laminated sheet of paper. I tried laminating with both 3mil and 5mil and with regular 24lb paper, and with cardstock 65lb paper and it wrinkles on both. However, this laminiates 4x6 photos very well, with no wrinkles.I got a great deal, and this does get the job done but I would not purchase at full price.

Unfortunately, all of the sheets that I have gotten ...

Unfortunately, all of the sheets that I have gotten from this pack do not remain "sealed" once laminated. I thought it was my laminator, so I had that looked at. Then, I bought a different brand/package of laminating pouches and tested them out throughout this month. Every single Scotch sheet that I used fell apart, whereas the other brand remained in tact. I tested this with regular paper along with cardstock. I am very displeased with this product and I will not be purchasing it again.

Sorry I ordered this!! Found 5mm off brand better and at 1/3 the price. Sorry I didn't do my research!

I am so upset with this purchase. I ordered the 3mm due to the price. When I used it, it the pages waved at me. I decided to spend the extra money and get the 5mm. When I went searching for 5mm, I ran across an off brand at 1/3 of the price. I read the reviews and decided to order it. Wow! I can't believe how much Scotch rips you off for their name. Never ever again will I buy their sheets. Do your research people. I wish I had.
These did not work well for me at all. Very disappointed.
September 24, 2014
These are the worse laminating pouches and I'm really surprised since they are Scotch. I had a package of Gordon laminating pouches that I had been using but cannot find on Amazon at all. They worked great! They were clear and did not pucker or bubble at all... however, these Scotch brand sheets pucker and bubble a lot. They arrived with some creases in the first several sheets, but I dug down and got ones out that were smooth and looked good. However, putting them through my laminating machine proved to be terrible. They puckered, they bubbled, they are not smooth and certainly not clear where there are ripples and bubbles. There are even some strange whitish marks appearing in between the top and bottom sheets. I am really unhappy with this purchase and will not be buying any more from this company. I thought they would be as good, if not better, than the last brand I purchased since it was not a top-notch company brand, but I am really disappointed with these. I'm trying to use them as I need them badly, but they are really not good quality at all. I will not be buying these ever again.

Good luck!

I used this laminator twice, and on the third attempt it would not heat up at all. The power light came on, but the unit never got warm and the "ready" light did not come on. I powered it off, unplugged it, and then retried turning it on multiple times - nothing. Hoping mine was just defective, but I am returning this one and I will likely get my replacement elsewhere. Good luck!
Quit after a few uses

Although I purchased this 2-3 years ago, I have only used it a few times. Went to laminate something this morning, and it wont' work at all. Nothing visibly wrong. Very disappointed. (Wrote this review for the laminator, and inadvertently posted it on the pouches I bought. Those were great!)
This is a useless product. It doesn't work at all
March 27, 2017
This is a useless product. It doesn't work at all. I tried many times with different scotch self laminating sheet. Further, the seller wastes your time with pictures, doesn't cover shipping and charges 20% restock fee for the defective product. I will be contacting Amazon. Stay away.
Worked Once
July 17, 2016
It worked once for laminating 5-3 mil pages. I tried to laminate more pages the following day and the green light never lit. I am still waiting for it to heat up. I guess I bought a dud. Unfortunately, I did not use it immediately upon purchase. However, I did not have anything to laminate at the time. I guess I know not to make purchases in anticipation of needs.Apparently, it will not last longer than a 15 months even if sitting in box unused.Moral to story: you get what you pay for.... invest in a higher quality model.
Cheap and yet not worth what you pay
October 12, 2015
Ten months after I bought this thing and after no more than a half-dozen uses, the element that heats the rollers to seal the laminating "pouches" quits. This is not a sophisticated machine--in fact, in a lot of ways, it's similar to a toaster. The thing was cheap, but I figured the brand name meant it would work satisfactorily if I were careful with it. No such luck. I thought at first that Scotch was selling the laminator cheaply and hoped to profit on sales of the pouches. Turns out it's the other way around--they must figure you'll have to buy a dozen of the laminators in order to use up an entire package of pouches.
Only good the first time.

I bought this product after reading all the positive reviews. It worked great the first time, the second time not so well. My daughter had worked on a project for an hour before deciding to laminate it. The laminator "ate" the project, by wrapping it around the inside, not even giving us the opportunity to use the "release" knob to get it out. We tried to unscrew the bottom of the machine to help remove the project but the one screw at the bottom of the machine was useless. I Would not recommend purchasing this machine.

Dont waste your money on this, i thought it would still work good considering some of the reviews but out of all the time i used there was only ONCE that it didnt get jammed. And when it gets jammed you have to take the whole thong apart! I highly regret buying this one.
Don't Trust Prime 2 Day Shipping On This! 5 Mil Jams Laminator, Ruins Documents
February 16, 2017
Ordered this product as prime eligible for 2 day shipping. It arrived 12 days later.I have not been able to successfully use the 5 mil size on along with a Scotch brand laminator that has a 5 mil setting. It constantly jams the machine and has ruined multiple documents.
