Other universal docking stations did not work with it (one manager had a universal docking station with his Surface Pro and it was not compatible with the Asus Zenbook). | Driver crashes sometimes.September 23, 2016 The driver crashes sometimes and I have to unplug it and plug it back in. I didn't have that issue with an older model overpriced, not for me.March 21, 2016 I have used Dell computers at work for many years so I assumed when I was purchasing a docking station, that the computer would be able to charge while on said docking station. I was incorrect. I have to separately run power to my computer since there is no where to "dock" the laptop and connect it to power from the station.When I connect my monitor to the docking station via HDMI, it seems to get confused so I have been connecting the monitor directly to the computer until I have time to troubleshoot. I ended up purchasing a monitor that had so many USB, audio, etc connections that I really don't think this docking station gives me any additional advantage. | Works with limitationsJuly 7, 2017 Provided CD does not include compatible driver for the USB 3.0 HDMI port. Triggers graphics driver works with limitations, the audio 1/4" port doesn't work with initial Asus EXE file or trigger graphics driver install. The USB 3.0 ports (2 of 4 powered) do not always recognize a device when connected. Tried to get RMA through Asus customer service and described the issues I was having after uninstall/install x 3 with same results. Kept getting same answers from CS with no resolution, item returned to seller. Two StarsDecember 4, 2016 Usb 3.0 software doesn't work Two StarsSeptember 17, 2016 not worth the money paid. I have two other docking stations that work flawless but the ASUS USB 3.0 has too many flaws. The only reason I got it was it supposed to work better with the ASUS Zenbook 501 laptop.First, it doesn't seem to recognize Windows 10 as the install works, but there's no icon in the tray to manage drivers, nor is there a program group created. I had to go directly to the hardware drivers to make changes to work with the station. Second, the power USB's don't work so I ended up using the laptops USB port. Third, the second day I had it the monitor port stopped working. I plugged in an old Tarus universal docking station and everything worked. One StarMarch 22, 2017 no power to the laptop. you need an extra cord for power. Worthless HZ-3January 12, 2017 No, power supply, locks up on extended video.
