Works perfectly and comes with everything you need to plug in and use right away.
This xbox came just as expected- perfect and only $149
April 22, 2016
This xbox came just as expected- perfect and only $149.99. The design is sleek and beautiful and compared to the original 360 this one is as quiet as the night itself. One of my only complaints was the removal of the optical audio out but it isn't a game changer and if I had to buy it again I would of. On another note it just has 4gb of internal memory but that can be remedied with flash drives- which works with most of my games. If you need a gaming system and one on a budget this is the way to go- or you could just save up a bit longer and get the Xbone!Team Xbox~
Long time Xbox adult user opinion

Easy and quick set up, runs great and great size. I've had a elite 360 since 2009 and the hard drive finally had an error 68 and with the disc tray broken I decided to just replace the console. The E version is space saver and with more USB ports and built in wifi means I have less accessories connected and can have more storage devices or different accessories connected at once. I like my purchase and recommend it if you're looking to replace an older 360 but don't want to move to an Xbox one yet. Most of my games still haven't been made Xbox one compatible so I'm staying in the older gen for a bit longer. And the price is great! Shipping was fast with prime and I have no complaints with the product. It is as described by the vendor.
Great system, not enough memory.

Great graphics, very silent, powerful, and versatile. Keep in mind that there is a difference between this Xbox, and an Xbox slim. If you want to save your games though, make sure you order a USB hard drive or flash drive over 64 GB to go with it. Due to its small memory, it's runs out of space before you realize it. Don't get the Microsoft 320 GB hard drive because it's not worth it. That costs $120, meanwhile Amazon has a good supply of 500 GB hard drives, for only $60!!! Half the price, for 280 more GB! If your not a pro gamer though and you use music and movies and all that other stuff, all you need is a USB flash drive. Great product, but just not enough memory. But on the other hand if you CAN afford a 250 GB Xbox, go for it. You'll waste time and effort to order a hard drive.

My other xbox was too fat and needed an Ethernet cord, so I booted him out for this skinny stud in all his wifi goodness, now I can still enjoy gta v, while my ps4 continues to lay there and not come out with any games
Nice to have a real XBox again!
February 11, 2014
I had an old XBox Arcade that had been through a lightning storm and had lost its HDMI port and network connection. I had been trying to squeeze a few more months out of it by buying the wireless network adapter and component cable. I couldn't get the wireless adapter to work because the XBox kept thinking there was a network cable plugged in even though there wasn't. Even though the video was acceptable the inner fan kept getting louder and louder and I knew the ship was going down. I finally broke down and bought this new XBox.I bought an empty slim hard drive case because I wanted to use the drive out of my old machine. I disassembled the old drive case and put it into the one I bought and it works perfectly. You could certainly do this with a new 2.5" hard drive as well. If you can get these hard drive-less XBoxes cheap you can definitely save yourself some money with a little work for which you can find directions online. The new XBox works great and I have another controller now. It has wired and wireless internet built in which worked immediately once I connected it to Wifi. I'm back on XBox Live and playing on a quiet XBox!

AWESOME!

I watch a couple of boys (ages 5 & 3) during the week and we are always playing xbox! I got tired of seeing the same old games (especially the Black Ops where they are killing everyone), so I asked the five year old to pick one out one day while I was shopping on Amazon. He picked this one and has not stopped playing it since it arrived at his house!!!! We haven't figured out how to get to the different levels yet, but this means that he will be playing it for a long time since there are other levels to play on. Great purchase and VERY HOT GAME!!!
Great game and great product.

First off, this is an excellent game and aside from the Amazon aspect of this game, I highly recommend purchasing it and playing it.. If you haven't already, do so NOW! Now, as for the actual product review aspect of it, I have no complaints. It arrived on time in excellent condition, not problem there. The game (for me) came with a sturdy case. I mean, it's just a generic case, but I feel like this is was a little stronger because it's been through a lot and is still in excellent condition. Long story short, in both aspects of this being a good game and it also being a good product, I highly recommend purchasing this product from Amazon. It's cheaper than most places and if you don't mind waiting a little bit for it to come in, then it's definitely worth it. Great buy!
Fun for kids and beneficial.

My daughter loves Minecraft. She has been playing this for some time on her phone and PC but now can play it on a big screen. With all the games she can choose from she wants to play a game that looks like an 80's video game. I laugh everytime I see her playing it. Though it seems so basic to me it can keep her occupied for hours. She is so excited to break bricks and see what she is going to find. So happy when she finds some item that she has been looking for or needs to make something. She always wants to show me something new she found or made.Minecraft can actually be good for kids too. Minecraft encourages kids to be creative and imaginative. Minecraft gives kids creative freedom similar to the way building with legos does. It also teaches the patience and perseverence. There is no instant gratification in the game. They have to work at getting what they want and it takes time. When playing Minecraft they have to use their memory, planning, organizational and problem solving skills. Minecraft is also free of any graphic violence or anything scary. Sure you have some monsters but they are blocky monsters. This is definitely one of the few video games I am happy to see my daughter play.
5 out of 5 strategy/survival
July 16, 2014
First off, let me say that I haven't played the computer version, therefore I can't compare the two (although a friend says they are about the same) but I can say this is a great game. There's so much to do across a huge world. For all the people out there who like survival games, this is actually a pretty good one. You start off with either nothing or nearly nothing (you choose the option) and it's a game of how long can you live before a silent but deadly exploding creeper blows you the Nether. Build a hopefully impenetrable house with your wheat farm and chicken pen right outside and it's still difficult. But for me where this game shines is the Creative mode. Be the envy of your friends with replicas of the Golden Gate Bridge, Statue of Liberty, or Big Ben. Want a house in the clouds or a home surrounded by lava in a Hell-like setting? It can be done. I've got a working roller coaster around my world. And that's another thing, your world will not be like any of your friend's worlds (there's like 300 trillion different combinations of code that create worlds) unless you use a seed to generate a world. All in all I gave this game 5/5 because of the vastness of creative possibilities, the challenges of Survival mode, and the way you can drop in to anybody's world at any time to help (or hinder *evil laugh*) them. I had gotten this for my sister, and now it stays at my house more than her's, so I've got to order another now.
LOVES IT!!

The game involves players creating and destroying various types of blocks in a three dimensional environment. The player takes an avatar that can destroy or create blocks, forming fantastic structures, creations and artwork across the various multiplayer servers in multiple game modes. Minecraft can be a real blast when played solo, but it's often a lot more fun when you've got friends messing around in the world alongside you. Setting up a proper co-op game on PC is a patience-draining nightmare that requires extra software downloads, server configuring, and far more irritating hoop-jumping than the average person has patience for. Multiplayer is a whole new deal now, thanks to the ease of access and functionality of Xbox Live, which allows for seamless drop-in co-op and party chat. You can invite friends to join your worlds-in-progress or leave them open for others to hop into while you're playing.Either way it's a good time, and the lack of heinous setup mumbo jumbo is a welcome change of pace. Going one step further, the 360 edition also features split-screen co-op for up to four players. If you've got a large enough screen, a big comfy couch, some tasty beverages, and good grub, then this is the way to go for party play.Unfortunately, a few excellent updates aren't a good trade-off for all of the content from the PC version that's missing. The 360 edition is a port of an older pre-Adventure Update Beta version of the game, which means the features, items, and updates that didn't make the cut this time around are pretty significant, and it shows. The variety of unique biome environments is limited, certain craftable items and resources aren't available, and some of the more exciting creatures are absent. There's no hunger or experience system, no alchemy or weapon buffing, and no Ender Dragon to hunt down and defeat. The free-form Creative mode is MIA too, leaving Survival mode as your only play option.
MINECRAFT!!!!!!!!
July 21, 2013
Minecraft... is an awesome game... why? because it's like Legos on steroids! However I would prefer this version over the other one for the PC for many reasons. So let's dig into Minecraft the 360 Edition and see what we come up with.Straight off the bat you might notice somethings a bit different, how so? Simply put that compared to the PC edition the 360 edition is actually a bit of a downgrade in terms of versions rather than being in the 1.0.0 release area it's actually the 1.8 release which I'm glad for because while having the "carrot on a stick" thing is good because you can control a pig while riding it with it and the whole trade system with NPC's is quite nice it actually feels quite good to just go back and marvel at how far Notch has come with this series. One of the things I liked about this game is the book recipe, you see after the 1.2.2 release I believe it's somewhere in there,I can't remember where that instead of putting three pieces of paper to make a book you would need that and one piece of leather which for some odd reason on my end like about 90% of the time the cows will not drop leather and all I would get is either steak or none at all. I have no idea why that happens on my end but yeah. Back in the good old days all you needed was just sugar cane, that's it, as long as you have sugar cane in your farm (which more than likely I do) you can basically have infinite number of books and bookshelves.Another reason why I would prefer this version over the PC one is the new "Crafting menu"! You see in the PC edition you would have to use the crafting table, upon doing so you would have to put the items in manually like for a stone pickaxe you would have to put two sticks here, three cobblestone there and you would have to repeat that over and over to get the desired amount of stone pickaxes you want. With the 360 editions new Crafting Menu all would need is just the ingredients and then press the A button as many times as you like to get that many in a shorter amount of time which makes all crafting easier and faster. Not only that but it also shows the recipe itself on what you need to make that item/tool which makes having to go onto your web browser not a necessity when persay you forgot how to make an enchantment table and it turns out you need four obsedion, two diamond, and a book. The Crafting Menu shows that so that you know "Oh so that's what I was missing I thought you also need two redstone torches to make one of these." so yeah, Crafting Menu, so much more helpful. Another thing I like about this edition of the game is the NPC villages, you see, when it comes to those places it's usually so hard to lokate them because the world is usually infinite so it's a tad harder to find them.... a LOT harder actually so in the PC edition those are kind of rare. Now I don't know if it is implemented with the game or I have been extremely lucky but every each time you make a new world you spawn either right next to a village or you spawn like about a mile from it. One final thing I love about this one is the music, not only it's the same as the PC one but also it constantly plays as you work in your mine which makes it less boring, the PC one as you have music on it doesn't play as much it just plays after every real life hour and without the music it's just boring. What I don't get is the tutorial mode, yes this edition of the game comes with a tutorial mode for people who haven't played the game before though don't know why anyone has never played it before when this game has sold well over one billion copies of it combined with this one and the PC edition and made new sales break on Xbox 360 new release games. but here's what I don't get, it has that but it gives you a slight tutorial on playing the game when you first install it and make a new level which in of itself makes the whole tutorial mode thing kind of pointless to be honest, why have that when you have it in-game anyways? The other thing that I don't like about this edition is that the world is not infinite which kind of makes you wonder if the Xbox 360 really is one of those most powerful system of all time (or at least all of you 360 fans out there say that, not that there's anything wrong with that.) but that's sort of forgiven as it does give you a NPC village straight off the bat rather than putting it a million (and I mean by that literally) miles away from where you spawn. I do believe the set number is 860X860.... or was it 680X680? I can't remember but all I do remember is that it has an invisible wall and that sometimes can get frustrating because from what I heard is that sometimes in abandon mines there would be a chest for you to collect but you can't get it because it spawned out of the invisible wall which makes you think that the game is trolling you by doing so. For the hardcore Minecraftians that's a little disappointing but for people that want to play it and have a good old time like me it's not much of a bother. So what do I think about this game? Honestly I give it a 10/10, in my eyes it's ten times better than the PC edition even though it's a downgrade in comparison with other versions of it. With the Crafting Menu showing recipes and to just gather the ingredients to make the item is just so much more helpful than having to do it manually. The music is the same but it plays constantly thus making the game much more interesting than having it play every real time hour or so before a new song can be played. As you can tell by the section of my likes about this game you can tell that I had a blast playing it and I still am. I totally recommend playing this rather than the PC edition for fun and enjoyment in single player mode, multiplayer is still fun either way but single player is a totally different experience between the two.

My 10 year old pushed this poor thing to 'the red circle of death' but I think it was mostly because it was a lemon. The reason I say that is I bought the same exact model and so far so good with way more of a work (play) load. Get the 2 year warranty, don't be stubborn like me and think you don't need it. Like I said, I had to buy another one....

Over all it worked pretty well but we had a problem with it trying to turn it on, it made a buzzing sound and showed no picture but it eventually worked, then the wireless connection went faulty but that fixed itself as well, we had no idea why this happened but it's working now

My son ordered this through my account. He saved and saved for it, had to have it. Mommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, it's MINECRAFT for XBOX, I HAVE to have it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I CAN'T live without it!Okay, maybe he wasn't quite that dramatic but it was darn close. It arrived within 2 days of ordering and he was extremely happy. He wasn't thrilled that the world's weren't never ending (I have no idea what this means but it seems important to him). He says they NEED to be never ending what's the point (again I have no idea). The rest he was pleased with. He loves that he can join his friends places. I've again no idea.Yes, I'm THAT parent..............
Ahh Minecraft...
March 7, 2015
What can I say about minecraft that hasn't said been said before? I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because after several years of my kids playing it on the mobile platform it is all I hear about and it is sickening :) No seriously, it keeps the kids entertained and lets them be very creative with being able to build all the houses they want to. The only thing is, that unfortunately a 19.99 ended up costing a total $300 because I had to get the kids a bigger because in 4 player mode, you really couldn't see the area in your assigned corner of the screen.
LOST ON ME, BUT GREAT FOR MY KID
December 23, 2014
OK, I must be a lame old man, because I just don't get it. My son, on the other hand, loves this game. We got it initially for the iPad, and so when we got him an Xbox 360 for his birthday, this was at the very top of the list. He spends most of his time in Creative Mode, where he builds, spawns, destroys, explores, and even narrates his own adventures. Although we are not hooked into Xbox Live (I have to draw the line somewhere!), when his buddies come over, they have the opportunity to play with (or even against) each other in the multiplayer mode. This game can keep him occupied for extended periods of time, with no worries of him seeing something he shouldn't. I may never play this game...ever...but my son enjoys it tremendously.
Better than computer version
January 4, 2014
This game is a must get for xbox owners. It has amazing graphics and awesome multiplayer split-screen. Since the world is limited it is easier to find villages and mine shafts. I use the seed IFORGOTYOU, and there is a mountain overlooking a village farmhouse and a half water submerged village. If you like minecraft, you will like this.
Great game, but PC version is better.
August 18, 2013
I bought this because I had already owned the PC version and thought it would be nice to use a controller instead of the mouse and keyboard. While it does feel more natural to use a controller and movement is more fluid, navigating your inventory is a bit of a hassle. I was willing to make sacrifices as far as world size and lack of mod support, because I did see that this version was updated to have the Nether and The End added to it. And I know that Minecraft gets updates pretty frequently. But I have one major issue with the X360 version. I knew that you could not change the default world textures, but I thought that the default textures would have been higher resolution. They appear to be the same 16x16 pixel textures that are used in the PC version, and every time I play the game with those textures, it gives me a headache. I like that you have some different options for your character's texture, but I can't use those default world textures. So while this is still a great game, I am going to stick with the PC version just because I have much higher-res textures and mod support. I do, however, wish that the PC version had the awesome tutorial level that this one has.

DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU HAVE OR WANT TO BUY HIGH DEFINITION AUDIO HEADPHONES!! Unless you have a TV that has a Optical Audio slot, normally only Smart TVs has it. That is because this model of Xbox 360 has no slot for optical audio, so your TV need to have this. I bought it, and I cant use my Turtle Beach X42 anymore. The advantages of this console are minimum, it produces less sound and is a little bit smaller.

June 13, 2016
My son has been wanting this forever. I don't get it, the graphics are ugly and the animals you can have in the game are very limited, plus there's that whole dark side that if you don't build a shelter by nightfall the creatures are going to get you.... I know it's a popular game, and he likes it but as a long time gamer from back in the day, all I can give it is 3 out of 5.
Disappointed, but still hopeful
July 31, 2015
I was excited to be getting this game. I've heard a lot of good things about it and I love the freedom of sandbox games. When I first started playing, I was having a lot of fun, but that fun turned into boredom just a few days after getting the game. From what I had heard and read, Minecraft had tons of things you could do and lots to explore. Although I'm sure the PC version has this, I wasn't very impressed with the Xbox360 version. With this version, your world is limited. This didn't bother me at first because I had heard that, although it was limited, you still have a big area to explore in. In fact, I kinda preferred it to be limited because it was so easy to get lost. Well, after getting the basics down and getting to know the area around my house, I wanted to start venturing off, exploring, gathering new materials, etc. only to find that this so-called "limited but large" world is, in fact, not large at all. After just an in-game day and a half, I had completely circled the entire map/island and explored all that could be explored. The map that was generated for me only had one small village, and after two in-game days, they were all dead from being unable to protect themselves from monsters. No temples, no dungeons, no pig men, the absolute only thing of interest was the small, now-dead village. From looking at the achievements, I saw that there are 23 possible biomes, yet there was only 5 in my map(Desert, jungle, grassland, plains, and alpine?). It even took forever for horses and donkeys to start spawning!Because there were no villagers left, I was forced to start a new game. I haven't done much in this new game, but after just a little bit of exploring I found a good-sized town, a desert temple, and horses that were previously ultra-rare to find in the previous game, even after they started spawning. I'm hoping that first map was just bad luck and that most of the generated maps aren't so boring. If it really was just a fluke, I'll be much more impressed and change my review, but for now, I'm not all that impressed.

I purchased this product 1 month ago. When it was delivered it did not have a power cord or a controller. I am working out of the country, and can not simply go to a local store and buy what I need. Now I am buying a controller and a power cord separately. At the cost of an additional $60. This lays on the edge of false advertisement, the picture displayed is simply not what you get. I would avoid this purchase if possible, unless you enjoy making extra orders to get what you need. In that case, enjoy!!

Fun and addicting for all ages, but disc becomes unreadable
January 28, 2016
Fun and addicting game for kids (and parents) to play while using their creativity, logic and analysis. They can also test their virtual survival skills. I loved Lego as a kid and this is like building (unlimited) Lego without having to pay per block count/set.**Update 2/4/17***Knocked off a couple stars for the life of the disc. The game itself is great, but something is going on with the disc quality. I keep the game in the case when not playing it, but only this game keeps becoming unreadable. After 2 months I had to exchange this game for a replacement since it was unreadable. Only this game had problems (and no scratches and disc is clean/brand new). About 10 months later the same thing happened to the replacement. Do not buy this disc unless you want to only play the game for 3 months to a year tops. I strongly recommend to pay extra to download the game directly to your xbox, or you could try to buy this disc, but install to hard drive (you still need the disc, so may still cause error).

So I got what I thought was "refurbished" Xbox 360 - go to set it up with my holster on Christmas morning and it has all of the previous owners information on it of which I can't even change because the previous owners had a passcode. If I could give negative stars I would
Not a region 1 product will not be compatible with US/Canada games or DVD'S
March 30, 2016
If you are buying this console from within the US or Canada please note that this product will not play any of your US or Canadian games or DVD's as it is a region 4 console. There is no mention of this in the product description and I wasted a lot of time trying to figure out why it would not play my DVD's before finally realizing this product had the wrong region code on it. I would have never have purchased this product had I known it was not a region 1 console. This should be in bold type in the description so people in different parts of the world can be sure to get a console that is compatible with the area they live in. I looked through many of the other descriptions on other xbox consoles and noticed none of them were listing the region so be sure to ask before buying any game console online.
Misrepresentation - not new system and definitely not a 360E!

Box arrived and clearly recycled as it was not sealed. Same for the material inside the box to wrap the console, cables, etc. When I went to register the console on my Xbox Live account, using Serial Number on console, it came up as a XBOX 360 S!!!!! My live account also included an entry for associated Kinect, which was not included. Finally, warranty is valid throught May 27, 2016 - not even 3 months. Also, the unit will not read game discs that worked on old console. Might get 1 in 30 attempts to read game disc properly.Clearly, this is a refurbished system and I WILL be sending it back for refund.
Another piece of garbage.

Was disappointed. There is a glitch in this game it keeps one button on controller from working. Tried it with several different controllers and 3different xbox360 game consoles. Just to be sure it was the game and not the equipment. However co is giving a full return upon them receiving the game back.
good game ... bad disc

Some functions of the game are not working..such as turning directions.
Freezes and almost unplayable

Works fine at the menu, but once I went through the game, it was very slow. It would freeze when I began the tutorial. There are only a few scratches on the disc here and there, but the game continues to freeze and is frustrating me. Be careful. Still very dissapointed
