Five Star Reviews: | 42% Five Stars March 30, 2016 Packaging looked like it had been thru a hurricane, but the Dome is awesome. My grandson LOVES IT So very pleased so February 22, 2016 I haven't used this outside yet so not sure about that. I set it up in the daycare and the kids are having a blast with it. I was able to put it together without any help. So very pleased so far Daddy and me play time. December 12, 2015 We have it in our formal living room space since it's a bit cold out now and my son and husband have a great deal of fun with it. My 4 year old loves it we put it in ... May 23, 2015 My 4 year old loves it we put it in her room and she's been sleeping in it all night!!! My 15 month old grandson loves this. It big ... February 24, 2015 My 15 month old grandson loves this. It big enough fro him to climb on and under, small enough to put in the diningroom during the winter month. | 74% Love it May 6, 2017 Love this and so does my 4 year old and twin 2 year olds. It is awesome and great quality. It's a stretch for the the twin but they like the challenge. Perfect for a 2 year old February 8, 2017 Perfect gift for my granddaughter! When I called in need of missing parts the response was quick. The parts came in just 2 days. This will last for years. Thanks Excellent choice! September 7, 2016 We bought this dome climber for our preschool! It's strong, well crafted easy to assemble and our students love it!! We have it in our indoor gross motor room and will be used year round. Great value! August 7, 2016 Very pleased with this! It was a birthday gift for our daughter and has already gotten so much use! It's extremely sturdy, we have had ten children on it at once and it feels solid as a rock. |
Four Star Reviews: | 30% My kids love this but the bottom pieces do not fit to ... February 22, 2016 My kids love this but the bottom pieces do not fit to the sides. It was hard to get together also. Good but could be better. January 15, 2016 Good for indoors during the winter, though don't underestimate just how big it is. Kid uses it more for a playhouse than a climber. Loses a star because the orange connector pieces on the bottom fail to connect. Seems to be due to a fault in the molding - using it fine without those pieces though.Honestly there are probably better climbers out there for the price but if you are set on this style it is good for what it is. Great toy! January 2, 2016 My DH and I found this very easy to put together. Having 2 people made it easier but I could have done it alone. We did find that one of the bottom pieces didn't fit correctly but it hasn't seemed to be an issue. If it is we will glue or cement it together. My 9 month old is very excited about it but she hasn't quite figured out what to do with t yet. We have it inside in our sunroom with foam mats underneath it. Oh and the tunnel does attach. It has a little Velcro piece that clips on. the children love it! June 14, 2015 I run a state licensed child care in my home ... the children love it !!! but the boy is having fun with this January 1, 2015 Little hard to keep together at bottom, but the boy is having fun with this. They constantly pop off which is quite annoying. On the plus side December 27, 2014 The orange connecting pieces below the 3 openings do not stay together at all. They constantly pop off which is quite annoying. On the plus side, our sons love their new "fort." | 16% Takes a while to put together - but wasn't all the hard. Great fun climber January 2, 2016 Has been a big hit with our 4 year olds. Considered getting something bigger - which I'm sure they would have enjoyed - but not sure I wanted something bigger in our yard. This came in a very destroyed box - its super heavy - but all pieces were there and it was relatively simple to put together as long as you followed the instructions. Definitely needed more than one person to do it. It took my father and I about 3 1/2 hours to put it together. You need someone to help hold the pieces as you assemble them, and again when you tighten all the bolts. The directions could have been a little more detailed when it comes to suggested tools - but we were able to use the alan wrench included an our own tools to make it work fine. Very Nice July 1, 2015 This is a very nice Space Dome Climber, but it took over 4 hours to put it together. I had read that it took 2 hours, so that is quite a difference when you have a very busy schedule. We like the fact that there is nothing that the children can hurt themselves on, everything is covered up so there are no rough edges. I believe that this product will last many years. It is a well built toy. June 8, 2015 My grandchildren play on it when several of them are here at the same time. Only so much climbing and hangin' they want to do. I bought another item for others to play on too. Nearly impossible to assemble without 2 people together. Great for kids, but customer service was poor... January 15, 2014 Great addition to the backyard. It's good for all my kids, aged 5-13. My only negative was we got it for Christmas and it had a part missing. It took over a week to get the part. They refused to overnight it or rush it. So, their customer service isn't great. Lots of fun! April 10, 2013 My kids really like this new addition to our backyard. Kids love climbing. Period. Glad we got this size for our backyard instead of the 10 foot radius one. This one is PLENTY big. The highest center point is just about 4 feet. You will absolutely need 2 people, sometimes 3 to put this together. It took us about 3 or 4 hours. It's very sturdy. My kids--3, 4, and 7 really enjoy it. |
Three Star Reviews: | 14% ... my monkey toddler and 4yr old but they got bored of it quickly August 23, 2015 Bought this for my monkey toddler and 4yr old but they got bored of it quickly. Hard to put together, but not bad overall. May 12, 2014 The instructions are horrid. I finally turned the whole thing over and put it together upside down, which made it much easier. We've had it a few weeks now, and everything seems stable. There are no screws, bolts, or tools required. This makes it nice around younger children. The older boys, 4 and 7, enjoy playing on it. They add a blanket over the top and it makes a nice cave. The tunnel itself is pretty worthless. It seems like they added it as an afterthought. It doesn't connect to the dome in any way and doesn't fit as snug as the picture suggests. The boys have just gotten rid of it, but they like the dome well enough.I think it's a good purchase, as long as you know what you're getting into. | 3% Three Stars October 25, 2015 Great quality but a pain to assemble. Took three of us and took some time Great dome climber if it had all its parts and the right tools included May 29, 2015 Great product for kids 4-10. Bought one years ago for our kids. Bought this one for our 4year old grandson.upgraded safety feature with durable plastic bolt covers. He loves it and plays on it constantly - as soon as we rounded up all the missing parts. On top of that the Allen wrench provided is to small for the 265 provided Allen- headed bolts. This is the only tool needed for assembly but if you don't have a metric set of your own, you kids aren't climbing anywhere. Had order and return a second set and cannibalize it for parts. Oh by the way the package weights 110 lbs. not a fun lift for the second time Count the nuts and bolts before you start January 17, 2014 Very disappointing to build this climber with my 5 year old helping only to not have enough nuts and bolts to complete the job. After I calmed her down, I contacted the manufacturer. While they are helpful and will supply the missing parts, we need to stare at the unfinished climber for 3-5 more days.Do your self a huge favor and count all the parts before you begin. Especially if you choose to have your child help:(. Took 4 hours to assemble October 15, 2013 My kids ages 4 and 2 1/2 seems to only want to play on this when friends are over. like a swing set the novelty runs out quickly. They better entertain themselves playing in with sticks and leaf piles. They love to climb but could have saved the money and bring them to the park. very hard and time consuming to assemble. May 30, 2013 Structure gets hot to touch in the sun.not the greatest directions and assembly took awhile very time consuming.grandchildren do enjoy climbing in and out of it and making a dome tent on hot days with a tarp over it. It's ok May 6, 2013 I purchased this from Wayfair they were not helpful you are better off buying it directly from Amazon. It's ok but a little smaller than I pictured. My 6 year old is taller than it and my 4 year old is mastering it.I would get a bigger (taller) one I would say this is for kids up to 7 years old max not 10 as it said. |
Two Star Reviews: | 3% Waste of money August 1, 2015 I got the Tunnel N Dome for my 18 mo old daughter. Well, she takes 3 steps and is at the top. Also, it took me, a young athletic mom, and my neighbor to put it together. And the bottom base pieces don't even connect. It was a total waste of money. | 3% What a waste. We finally have a warm day to put ... February 12, 2017 What a waste. We finally have a warm day to put this together and we are missing the big circular piece that everything attaches to. It is completely useless and my nephews are so upset. So far I am not happy because I am waiting for parts and it's been TWO Weeks! April 9, 2014 I bought this climber to help my kids get more exercise in the backyard, I received it over two weeks ago and I am still waiting for the parts. I do not see what is so hard about putting the correct parts in the box. For $200 I should not be sitting around waiting like this. I would not buy from this company again. LAYING IN THE RAIN NOW January 21, 2014 DID NOT RECIEVE ALL OF THE PARTS FIRS PROBLEMS I HAVE HAD I HAVE SPENT $1000.00sSSSSSSSSSSSSSS I FEEL YOU SHOOOULD DO SOMETHING FOR ME I JUST RENEWED FOR ANOTHE YEAR!! RETIRED ARMY 100%COMBAT DISABILTY THANK FOR ANIY THING YOU CAN DO . Worst Possible Scenario December 24, 2013 We kept this hidden from our 2 and 4 year olds and planned to put it together Christmas Eve. The morning of, we noticed that 2 of the metal plates were in the wrong packaging. Turns out, they gave us too many of one size and not enough of the other. So now my kids' "big gift" will be 3 or more days late and I've got to keep them out of the backyard where the partially put together climber is hanging out. Customer service said it'd take 3 days or so to get the parts to me...no apologies...no nada. I am beyond pissed Amazon should reconsider doing business with this company, buyer beware! May 28, 2012 Do we like the dome now that it is together? YES, but I wouldn't buy one from this company EVER again! We, like many other people mentioned also had pieces missing from our box. I called the customer service number that day and was told it would be 10 business days, I told her that was not acceptable and that I wanted a manager ... I got voice mail. I called the next day and was told it would ship out in 2 business days, fine! 2 business days passed ... no parts! Called for a 3rd, 4th, 5th, and final 6th time. After they lied about sending it again I asked for the tracking number. After waiting on the phone for 17 minutes, she gave me the number and quite a bit of attitude to go with it! Do yourself a favor and buy one from another company, this company was nothing but a headache to deal with. The only thing worse than dealing with them is trying to figure out how to pack up and return 170lbs of junk because that's all it is if you don't have all the parts! Missing Parts May 17, 2012 This was a surprise gift for a birthday. Unfortunately 5 of the parts were missing. We made several attempts to call the company (approximately 11 times), during their stated business hours, but the phone was busy each and every time, and no voicemail available. Also, we had hired a handyman who discovered in the midst of the assembly process that he did not have enough parts to complete the product. So, not only were the boys who were receiving the gift disappointed...we had the expense of a handyman, and ended up with no dome. After reading other reviews, I noticed I was not the only customer who received a product with missing parts. Therefore, I elected not to reorder. I am going to attempt to find a similar product, but from a different company. |
One Star Reviews: | 11% Not even bemused. January 14, 2016 The orange connecting supports do not fit. They are deformed where they join. All 3 of them. I thought that perhaps we just had received a bad lot, but there are other reviews that report the same issue. One Star July 18, 2015 Fell apart easily. Clip snapped that hold the pieces together making it useless. Buyer beware! June 3, 2015 Very disappointed. I have owned a lot of little tikes outdoor toys and this one is really flawed. First off, it has a wimpy weight limit and when multiple kiddo's are playing on it it will push those weight limits with ease. Secondly, it seriously thin for being little tikes. I have never seen or owned an outdoor playset from little tikes that you can grab and squeeze the walls because the plastic is so thin. Lastly, the base has these supports under the openings that are supposed to simply clip in but they can smash the plastic and no longer clip in correctly because the plastic clip areas are too thin and crumple. Seriously, somebody needs to get fired in the R&D department.BTW, yellow and orange plastic fades the quickest which is annoying. DON'T BUY LITTLE TIKES!! EVER!!!! April 9, 2014 This review is more about overall quality than the dome itself. I bought this dome at toys r us at a great price. Of course the instructions are poorly written, have unclear diagrams and no further help on line. Everything little tikes make is made from cheap molded plastic that deforms and doesn't fit right. The bottom connector pieces of the openings of the dome do not stay connected and continually pop out from their poorly molded and even more poorly fitting notches. I guess I am the fool because I have had similar experiences with little tikes before. Their customer service was helpful when contacted in the past. THIS WILL BE THE LAST TIME I BUY LITTLE TIKES! I would take this back if my son wasn't already climbing all over it as I assembled it. Beware little tikes. | 4% RUST!!! August 11, 2017 We haven't even had this for a year and it is starting to rust already. SO DISAPPOINTED! Also, it took two days to assemble and was not easy as the product description would have you believe. Should have bought the Made In USA model on Amazon July 17, 2017 Package arrived, box destroyed, parts scratched up, and one part was not even finished. The one bar was not finished being fabricated and had no hole. I had to modify the piece and drill the hole myself. The rubber caps do not stay that we'll either. Bad for now. August 14, 2016 Package arrived in time. Package was taped all over and was open. I am missing the 10 half bottom brackets and there was two brackets on top of package when I got home. I hope I am not missing anymore pieces. Bolts nuts and washers were vacuumed sealed. For now I will give one star and update when I deal with coma timer service. Missing hardware June 13, 2014 We Could not put it together. Because Many pieces missing. We have Very disappointed children. It Was purchased for grandparents home. PTHux December 26, 2013 Bought this for the kids for Christmas. The box was torn and damaged when it was delivered and when I was assembling it there were several parts missing. I was very disappointed |
