I purchased this for my 9 month old grandson who likes to beat on things and likes music. I gave it to him without the sticks and let him hit the drums with his hands. I know the toy was meant for older children but he has enjoyed it even though he's not really old enough to play the games that are on it. I think this will be a toy that can grow with him. It is rather small and it balances on three legs so when he knocks it over, he has a hard time setting it back up on it's "feet".

My kid is having a ball and learning so fast. This was one of his top Christmas gifts this year. Would definitely recommend this product to teach colors, skills, music, hand eye coordination, and just a whole lot of fun.

My 18 month old loves this toy! (of course we have to monitor him closely so he dont try to run with drumstick in his mouth). Easy to play and sound is not too loud (has volume adjustment). Arrived on time as described. Sturdy! Great product! Highly recommend!

Smaller then i thought but over all a great gift! Alot for child to learn! I even had the "big kid" playing with it for a while haha my nephew loves it! Hes obsessed!! Haha hes a year n half and cant stop playing with it! All in all great buybwe are all very happy with it!

Bought this as a gift for a 1 year old. He loves it! At that age, the drum sticks will occasionally get eaten. But, he also plays on the drums and enjoys the music and lights. I will order this for my own child as well. Recommended.

Great product. Our toddler loves it. The only criticism is that on the "freestyle" setting it plays background music. Would have been nice if it didn't so your kid could only hear their own drumming.

This is amazing. I got this for my five year old son to play since he showed a lot of interest in playing the drums. They are great quality and I am comparing this to his grandfathers expensive set. WE put them next to each other and my son would watch grandpa play and then copy what he did. I am very please with this purchase and glad I did not go with alower quality cheaper set because I can see the real talent potential in my son.

 Great inexpensive drum set. I bought it for my 3 year old son for Christmas 2k16. Have to admit I play it more than he does at the moment. Attached a video to share how it sounds. I'm no professional just know a thing or two.

I bought these for my grandsons, especially my younger one. Daniel is having a hard time settling down in school and he's wanted a drum set for a long time. Grandpa and I thought we might help motivate him with this purchase. His stepdad is a drum player and willing to teach him. Sure enough, the concentration needed for this has moved over to his school work. Sometimes a child needs to feel good about him/herself and finding 1 thing they are good at helps them improve other areas. My grands love this drum set and their stepdad says it should be fine for them until they are about 11 or 12 years old.

Great drum set, got this for my 4 year old son's birthday and he loved it, and so did all the other kids (and adults) there.It wasn't hard to set up, took about 15 minutes, not using the instructions, that were included. I read reviews before this purchase about loose hardware, and bad quality cymbals and drum heads that kinda threw me off, but the hardware issue is not a problem as long as everything is tightened properly, including ALL the wing nuts. And as far as the quality is concerned this set seems to be a very functional JUNIOR set, do not expect a 800$ zildjian cymbals, and 1000$ baby seal skin drum heads, mounted on reclaimed Amazon river rainforest first stock wood,ready to F.S.U. in a Slayer tribute band. This is not suitable as a adult performance set, but is for a young learner, the cymbals are real brass and the skinheads are thick plastic, and when they wear out or break, as most all do regardless of brand, they can be replaced with any ting you want.

I got these as a gift for my 8yr old daughter. Perfect size as she doesn't have to struggle to reach both of the pedals. While I am not a drummer, I can recognize good build quality when I see it and these are good quality. The drums sound nice and I had a drummer friend of mine check them out and he said he was impressed with the quality and sound at this price range. The only exception is the High-Hat and the symbal which are very tinny sounding but to be honest they are fine for a beginner. The instructions are useless but they do point you to an online video of how to assemble, using the video they went together very easily and everthing lined up and fit precisely. I had seen some mixed reviews and it seemd like this set had been improved just over a yr ago. I decide to take the risk and I am very happy that I did. My daughter loves them and has used them every day.

My boy’s 6th birthday was nearing. His Grandma put a video of him playing a kid’s school Drum Set on Facebook. Upon viewing it, my decision to get him a drum set for his birthday was instant. I looked through Amazon and found this 5-piece Gammon Set in metallic blue. It was perfect and the price was right. The drum set arrived in three days and I was amazed!The set took a lot of time and effort to assemble. I’m unable to follow instructions and the parts and pictures were all I had to go on. It worked. I got it set up in two days of part-time tinkering. The set looked nice, appeared sturdy and sounded well. I’ll have to get someone who knows drums to fine-adjust the sounds.The set appears well made and sturdy. Time will tell. When my boy saw it and started playing it (read: beating it), he was just ecstatic. "This is the best present ever," he exclaimed three times during the evening. The feeling of joy on his part was just overwhelming, and well worth the cost of the drums. Drum lessons are now in order. It was the most-appreciated gift I’ve ever given anyone. Great product. Would be 5 stars but I didn't like that you have to actually push the power button ever time you want to play. My one year old has not mastered that but he loves to bang on this. It is also quite a bit smaller than i was expecting but it is really reactive and sounds pretty good.

This is a cute little drum set and the different settings are fun, but it keeps playing music even after your child stops playing with it unless you get up and go turn it off, which can be a little annoying. It is smaller than expected, but overall the size is fine for my 13 month old.

This gift for my 4-year-old son has been a godsend. He is an avid drummer ( you know pot and pans...lol), and finding this little gem has been a mommy saver. The volume is perfect; just loud enough for him to catch the feeling but not so loud that mommy loses her hearing. It is a great size for travel.....He takes it everywhere. Honey if you have a little drummer at home I highly recommend this set.

My son received right around his 2nd birthday this year. He loves it. Nice that he figured out how to turn off and on by himself, though he doesn't much like any of the other settings that the toy has except for the free play. He isn't quite able to put the sticks in the holders in the back by himself, but that's not a big deal. Overall nice toy.. not to mention a wonderful alternative to the much louder sets available.

This is a really great toy, especially since my husband's a drummer and the baby therefore has always loved drums. She uses it a lot, and I think will do so even more when she's older. I think the features are "too old" for her right now at 17 mos, but that's a good thing...she'll use this for a long time. Only bad thing is it will not stop/shut itself off even after several minutes of no use. It just keeps going and going....can't be good for battery, and it drives us crazy as the parents.

I have 2 year old (27 months old) twins. My son understands and loves this toy (though he does not use the drumstick but his palms to play). He loves the counting features on this toy. One night we heard him in his crib counting backwards from 100, and because we never taught him this I am sure he learned it from the toy. He doesn't get the memory games yet. And also the alphabet feature isn't that great as the quality of the audio is a bit muffled. But overall it's fun for him to beat the drums and count up and down. Initially he was actually really scared of the sounds coming from it, but after a few days he warmed up to it.On the other hand, my daughter doesn't really like this toy too much and doesn't understand that she has to hit the drum that is lit up. She hasn't played with it that much at all.

Overall, I think it is a very good set. My seven-year-old now has all the drums he wants in a set that doesn't take up the whole room. It sounds good (to an untrained ear). And I didn't spend a fortune...Yet. The drums themselves are great, but it lost a star on the durability of the set as a whole. My son broke a drum stick within two weeks (which I understand is normal for avid drummers), broke the spring on the bass drum pedal within three weeks (currently replaced with a rubber band), and the crash cymbal is starting to look like the shape of a ladies' floppy hat. We've had it a month. Even so, he loves it, and I still think it was the best drum set for the price.Don't forget to get ear protection (for your drummer and yourself!) and extra drum sticks.

Did a ton of reviews before purchasing this drum set. The most negative comment is that the cymbals are cheap. This is true, however the quality of the hardware and the sound of the drums is very good. This was for my 9 year old granddaughter who expressed interest in the drums and I didn't want to pay a fortune to find out if she was really going to take them up For the price these are very satisfactory and I would recommend anyone else with the same circumstance to purchase this set.

Bought this drum set for my 6 year old son. Perfect size for kids from 2 years to 12 years. Packaging was good however assembling it requires careful reading and patience! I recommend this to anyone who has a child interested in wanting to learn drumming.

This is a great kit for giving a little one an intro to drumming. It's primarily a toy, but it's excellent quality compared to typical toy drum kits. I bought it for my two year old, and she fell in love with it on sight. She's almost five now, and still loves banging away on it.There are a couple downsides, but nothing out of the ordinary for a kit like this. The pedals are pretty cheaply made, with the kick pedal needing more pressure than should be necessary to use. Also, the heads it came with are almost not drum heads at all, but just a thin film to serve the purpose of a hitting surface. They've lasted this long though, so they're at least more durable than they feel. And honestly, you could switch them out for some real Evans or Aquarian heads and it could actually sound decent for a little bang around kit. I put a custom front head on the kick, and just that made it sound light years better.The kit comes mostly as a toy, but the size and quality of it provides a fantastic foundation to grow with your child and their progression on the instrument, if playing drums becomes a "thing." Built like a real kit, better quality parts can be later added to turn it into a true musical instrument, that would be perfect when they're ready to start on lessons. Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase, and so is my daughter.

The hanging toms are 8 and 10 inches. The floor tom is 12 inches. The bass is 16 and the snare is 10 inches. For the price, this is a great little set. The hardware is a bit cheap (e.g. the hi-hat stand is a bit loose and the cymbal connection on the bass drum wiggles). If your child is interested in staying with it, it is very easy to upgrade the batter and resonant heads as well as the cymbals. The edging on the drums is a little rough though, so if you go this route they could do with a quick sanding and/or bearing edge conditioner. I'm happy with this purchase.

The color is the perfect girly pink and it really stands out. Everything shines, looks great and sounds wonderful. We have a 2 year old girl who is not easy on toys, but we have not had anything break, chip, crack or dent. The cymbals are holding up beautifully, all drum heads looking great and the drumsticks that it comes with are the perfect size for a small child.The seat adjust low enough for a child probably 36 to 34 inches depending on if they have longer legs. Everything adjust so easily and in so many ways, that it is very easy to adjust things to fit as your child grows.I know some people may say that it is hard to put together, but if you just look up the online tutorial, watch it all the way through while looking at your manual and making notes if needed, it is very easy to do. It does take time, so make sure you have the time, say inexperienced give yourself 2 hours at least, more time for possible mistakes. I will say to pay close attention to the different tension screws you use, they can be very close in length. I also used a screwdriver to get them all quickly in and then manually tightened them.The only problem I had was with the high-hat cymbal setup. It seemed like the rod was bent a little and when I would press down the pedal, it would just stick and you could see the rod wasn't in the middle, but off to one side. After trying (without taking the whole thing apart) to re-bend it back, and removing plastic etc. I did manage to get it working correctly and have no problems with it.I think this is the best drum set for your money for a small child just learning.

I ordered this item and received a defective one. Got a replacement sent to me and the batteries were badly corroded. I was out of time and needed this item for a birthday party so my boyfriend took apart the battery compartment and cleaned the terminals to make it work. Once we got it working, it's a neat toy, but I'm very disappointed in the quality of the specific ones we received.

Bought for kids to drum to music. Can't seem to find a way to shut off the constant random pre-recorded drum solos that interrupt them drumming to the radio. The different game options seem good for learning though. I was just hoping for a true freestyle mode.

This toy isn't what I had hoped. I knew from other reviews it would be pretty small, but it's not that entertaining for my 2 year old and she loves to beat on everything as if they were drums. This just seems to be a "baby toy" compared to other things available for toddlers.

This drum set was bought for a 2 year old's birthday.I love the fact that is was small enough to be portable for easy storage or taking it along to an overnight or trip.The biggest thing I didn't like was how temperamental the on/off button was. Barely hit it and it would go off, which worries me about it's battery life.The drums themselves are fun, especially for a young child. Just wish I could turn them off a bit more permanently.

my Son loves to hit things with his sticks, has a xylophone, for some reason he had no interest in this, kind of puzzled, although it doesn't leave a mode that just reacts to being hit, it adds its own beat here and there which I thought was confusing. As i played it it would throw in a strum ob beats that would obviously be out of beat with what was being played(hit), which made it seam like it did its own thing rather then allowing my son to have fun hitting it with the lights and sounds that would be more expected.

Some irritating things. It took me a while to figure out how to turn off the irritating songs that play. Even when those songs are turned off, the drums go off on their own sometimes, and that's irritating. I would rather that the only drum sounds heard are those the child makes. Otherwise, I think it can create some confusion - lack of relation between child's actions and actual sounds. I must say my grandchild was more interested in other toys presented - this didn't hold his interest as much as banging on paint cans with paint sticks.

These drums are decent but a symbol broke within a week.

Perfect to let out some extra energy for my kids. It's solid and sturdy and able to take quite a bit of abuse. It comes with a pair of wooden drumsticks. I gave it 3 stars because the sound of the drums are terrible. I have a 5 piece, full-sized Pearl kit for myself. Compared to that, this definitely sounds like a toy. The bass drum sounds like you're pounding on an empty paint can. Plus the crash and high hat are so thick that there's practically no differentiation of sound. Not that my kids care about what it sounds like since they're just bashing away at it. But it would make the racket more bearable if it at least sounded half decent.

Well, it's better than the $30 ones for kids and definitely bigger. Was disappointed because there were thumbscrews missing, and the ones that are there keep loosening so things don't stay in place. They also failed to thread one of the screw holes for one of the toms, so the drum is out of tune because there is no way to tighten that side.1 star for quality and 5 stars because my 3 year old loves it anyway = 3 stars.

It's ok…I don't know what I was expecting for the price, but it is what it is. I purchased this for my 6 year old nephew and he loved them. He was pretty rough on them though, and the bass pegs have broken, along with the bass pedal. I guess it fit the bill for the price.

I'm not an expert when it comes to choosing a musical instrument, but I bought this one for my 6 year old son thinking it would be a great instrument to start him off. They look very nice and sturdy, but the drum part where you hit it with the drumsticks, they don't seem to be stretched enough, some screws didn't fit well and I think that's what is making it look loose. It basically gets loose all over and I have to be tightening everything before he uses it. And since everything falls off, we keep loosing the little parts. So he plays it all on the floor, just lays them all around him on the floor and plays like that. The only reason I gave it a 3 star is because for that price I'm sure I wouldn't find anything.

I love the set, but the directions, even with the online video are awful. I swear they didn't even look at the instructions. Entire steps were missing, preinstalled items were the wrong direction. But after about 4 hours, it's together and working fine. My 4 year old loves it. I would not recommend this for a real drummer, but for a starter set, great.

Purchased this for my one year old and three year old. The novelty wore of in about 20 minutes. The counting feature was somewhat fun for my three year old. Drumming and counting but that could just as easily be done having her clap and count, It just did not have much in the way of imagination for them I suppose.

Returned was too small for what I had expected. Maybe ok for under 3 it really is a baby not toddler toy.

It is so much smaller than I ever expected it to be. My daughter think it's fun to play with. But she is a tiny one-year-old and it looks even too small for her. So it's really tiny is what you're looking for this.

So small and quiet! I am really shocked by how low the volume is. This toy hasn't entertained my daughter at all since we got it. We purchased it she she was 13 months, now she is 18 months and still not into it.

My little one played with this for maybe 5 minutes. The voice is kind of obnoxious and once the child stops playing it keeps talking and encouraging activity for what seems like forever. It is practically demanding it be played with. The drumsticks are long gone, the "holder" in the back is loose so the sticks don't stay in it. It is a little confusing for my 18 month old because on the bottom three drums you tap the part that lights up but on the "cymbal" you are supposed to tap the ring around the part that lights up. Also, the set itself is tiny. Just altogether disappointing.

Was such a great toy that I had to get one for a family member's baby. And luckily found one since they were sold out of so many so quickly. But they then tried to overcharge for the second one. Then charged a shipping fee for the return of the double priced one. Was a rip off and hassle by the end of it all. ANd once we got to play with it, it was kind of stupid and my son only played with it for about 5 minutes before turning his attention to his kazoo and hot wheels, playing with both of those at the same time for hours. Meanwhile since then, he hasn't even looked in it's direction.

We have had this almost 3 months. It is falling apart. Every week something else breaks and my husband tries to put it back together. It is for my daughter who is 7 and weighs 42 lbs. It is not like she is mistreating the drums. She takes professional lessons. They are made poorly to begin with.

My husband is a drummer and he really was not impressed. The cymbals are cheap. Some of pieces were crooked. This will certainly impress a 2 or 3 year old, but it is not made well.

This drum set was very cheap. The setup took about 20 minutes and 30 minutes after that, the legs of the floor tom and bass drum came apart. The foot pedals came apart as well. The setup instructions were nonexistent. I had to watch a video from another manufacture's website to find out how to put the drums together.

Let me start saying that these drums look to be nice quality. The way this product was shipped was kind of ridiculous. Everything was jammed (unassembled) into a small box. That in itself is not a big deal. But there padding was not sufficient. The box was beat so bad I'm surprised that it didn't fall apart.I didn't even want to attempt to assemble all of this equipment. It would have taken me several hours and it would not have been pretty. My sons music instructor offered to assemble them for us. He noted that several pieces had some issues, small dents, etc. I didn't fully understand him, but he said that one of the supports for the two top drums was all bent and it would not fit in the top(it was even poking out of the box when it arrived). So basically one piece is not usable of the 2 top rums. The instructor said its not an overly big deal at this point since he is learning drum basics.I'm not sure I have the energy to try and get it fixed, etc.

i bought this because my 20 months old baby likes to hit drums. she likes to grab any stick and hit anything with it. when i saw this one on amazon i thought this is the best toy i can give my baby so she can play with it all day. plus reading the reviews most people made me believe, it is the right choice. but the day it was arrived to my home, she was so excited to play it when she saw me opening the package. after i gave it to her it only took her at least 5 min before she stop playing with it.- first it is so so small for my toddler that she can't have enough space to hit it- not enough sound to make her hit the drum over and over againi am very disappointed i thought it would make her happy. instead she start taking the sticks and hit any kind of material that makes for her more noise instead of the drum. i don't recommend this drum to anyone. its a waste of money!!

Package arrived looking like it was stepped on. Main drum cover completely detached - took a lot of work to get it together again, and still doesn't work.My 3-year-old played with it for about 10 minutes, and forgot it. Just another noisemaker, no real features, no feel to it, the sticks hitting the hard plastic drumheads are much louder than the sound it makes.

The pre-programmed music is annoying. There is a way to shut it off, but the percussive sounds themselves are tinny and hollow. It is basically just a noise-maker. This will drive you crazy very fast.

The toy arrived damaged. I hit the on button and it made a beeping sound that has been going on for 3 days now (started Friday when it arrived and today is Monday and the beeping sound is strong). This was suppose to be a Christmas present so I cant open and take out of its package to see if its just the batteries and I don't know how i'm going to return it since it wont stop making a beeping noise. Extremely disappointing.

It's so small! I wasn't paying close enough attention when I ordered it and thought it was a decent size...like something my 2 year old could sit in front of and play like a real drum set sized fora toddler. But it's miniature. Seems a lot more fitting for a 6 month old. In fact when my two year old saw it in the box (waiting for me to return it), he said "baby toy?" Two thumbs down.

When I received this product it was not working. This was a gift for my newfew so I figured the batteries were old.. I attached a new pack of batteries and the drums worked for 5 min then stopped, a new set of batteries were tried and the same thing happened.... Broke!

Drums are poorly constructed the tops for the drums was a big bubble. It would not take but a few hits and the drums would have torn up. Poorly made.

Very disappointed. We bought this drum set for our son for Christmas. After completing the assembly 90% we found some of the metal sockets on the bass drum didn't even have threads for the bolts to screw into. There was no way to complete the assembly.

the drums look real and beautiful on the internet but when I got them they didn't even last my 4 year old a day / the drums were getting bent and faded and every time he played them something else would break or fall apart..waste my two hours puitting this together and waste my money...

The peddle, in addition to being incredibly crappy, is broken. One of the holes that the leg of a bass drum is meant to screw into is stripped. The leg won't screw in, so it often comes out and the bass drum falls over. Now, it doesn't fall over because she's using it - she can't because the peddle doesn't work, as previously mentioned. We will buy a new peddle and my husband will have to fix the foot issue, but these issues should have been noted by the seller. The kit as a whole, were it fully functional, would be ok new for the price or for $150-200 as I saw it at other music stores, but it's definitely not worth their listed retail value. It's not fabulous. The seller had it listed as retailing for $400 or more, so that was misleading. I thought I was getting something better than what I saw at the other stores because they listed the much higher retail price and that wasn't the case. Given, their retail value was for a new one, but the other ones I saw was were new.I'd rather have paid the extra money to get one that was fully functional and unbroken. I wouldn't purchase from this seller again.
